2023.06.05 13:29 Fiveinthestinkk One of my favorite days - Epic shred sesh
Running my own business, its always difficult to take days off and truly disconnect. With the early access announcement, I made all arrangements to take off Friday and make sure I was covered so I could rip all day.
After playing until 1:00am the night before, I woke up early and got to spend time with my wife and son before they head out of town for the weekend. It was a perfect 85 degree day without a single cloud in the sky and I got to play a game that I have been looking forward to for the last 10 years.
To make sure I touched grass, I went on a 5k jog and hit some weights then cooked a massive porter house steak on the grill before sitting down and having the most epic gaming session while playing with my younger Brother. We beat the campaign at around 1:45am.
Im 38 years old and I truly felt like I was 13 again. Gaming with my little brother was one of my fav things to do as a kid and we dont get to do it that often these days.
Incredible game and well worth the wait. One of the best days ive had in a long time

2023.06.05 10:46 Gummikoalabears Just got home from our first Virgin Voyage on the Scarlet Lady.
We did the May 31 - June 4 Key West, Bimini cruise. I'll give some pros and cons but overall loved the cruise and put money down for our next cruise, hopefully one of the Mediterranean ones.
Loved: 1. Food. Test kitchen was tons of fun and one of the best dishes we had the entire cruise was the mushroom course. So good!
Extra virgin was just great. Our server pretty much just told us that he would bring out one of each of the appetizers. He also brought out extra pasta. Everything here was great.
Pink Agave. This was our consensus favorite meal of the entire cruise. Our server gave us all of the small and medium plates. We each ordered a different large plate and requested more of the small plates. We also had all of the desserts. We were here for well over two hours and enjoyed every minute. Relax, you're on a cruise. Enjoy your food!
The Wake - we ate here once for brunch and once for dinner. Some of us are the soup for both meals. Everything here was excellent. It wasn't the best steak house in the world, but it was very good.
The Dock House - we snacked here multiple times. The shrimp and the hangar steak are great! This was pretty much lunch everyday.
Pizza place - fantastic pizza.
The galley - the taco place and the Ramen place were the best parts of the galley. We didn't try the Burger place at all. Breakfast tended to be disappointing so we started eating at the other restaurants for breakfast. They were great!
- The boat - so many great spaces to just hang out. We played board games, read, did trivia, colored, drank, ate. We just loved this boat. Spent tons of time on deck 7 aft.
- Bimini Beach - both the pool and ocean are great places to be.
- Scarlet night - so fun. Just go with the flow
Needs improvement:
- Bars - we had a bar tab and didn't spend almost $70 because it was almost impossible to get a drink. And the bars were not that crowded. More bars need to be open. Sometimes all the inside bars were open and all of the outside bars were closed or vice versa. Considering everything else is included and this is the main place virgin is going to make money during the cruise, I'm surprised virgin doesn't make it a bigger priority to sell alcohol.
Pool area- pool deck is made of lava. It gets way too hot. Wellness pool is actually a giant hot tub. Not what one wants when we're at sea and it's 95 out. It made the other pool feel even smaller. And the other pool is too small.
Service- really great at some places ( extra virgin, pink Agave, test kitchen,) OK in some places (The Wake) and bad in others (parts of the galley, most bars)
Scheduling - tons to do but many of the things we wanted to do conflicted with dinner. And we love the dinners. We're not skipping dinner for trivia. Move the trivia.
Beach club trams - had the weather been good, this would not have been an issue but there was a big storm with lots of nearby lightening and everyone tried to leave at the same time. Very unorganized. Lots of people running and leaving others who had been ahead of them without seats. It was not the finest moment for some people.
Redemption spa - tons of potential. Just very unorganized. Getting a robe and slides were difficult. I ended up sitting in a line for massages thinking it was the line for the spa. Mud for the mud room is no where near the mudroom. It's a great space and I really enjoyed the spa but it was much more stressful than it needed to be. Also the big tub in the floor should be the hot tub.
Pizza place - again we loved the pizza. But they need to explain to people what kind of pizza they serve and what they should expect. It's wood fire pizza. It's cooked at very high temperature. The crust will have some blackness on it. It tastes great! Don't return your pizza or ask for another one. Saw so many rude who made the wait ridiculously long for everyone else.
Water stations- Loved the water stations except they need more. They are very hard to find and the majority of them seem to be outside. Some drink stations on deck 7 would make a lot of sense.
Again we loved this cruise. We booked another one while on board. The things that need improvement were minor compared to the things we loved. We traveled with friends and that made a huge difference. Had it just been two of us, I think the activity scheduling would have been a bigger deal. We were just there to chill and we had a blast.

2023.06.05 05:17 goldbullioncube why am I so hungry no matter how much I eat
I'm 21, 5'3, and 123lbs. for the past three weeks or so every single second of the day i am so hungry it is unbelievable. im so hungry im almost in tears. despite eating what I think is an insane amount of food. for breakfast I eat a bucket sized bowl of yogurt, Greek yogurt, mass gainer, protein powder, some sort of frozen fruit, and a cup of 3.25% milk. I'll have pasta later on, then maybe pasta again, then for dinner I'll usually have steak, two cups of rice and some sort of leafy greens. between meals I am eating non stop snacks because I am starving between meals. I'll have up to 4 cups of Greek yogurt, string cheeses, toast with butter, up to five packs of welches fruit snacks at a time, protein shakes, glasses of milk, entire bags of Doritos, all of these almost every day. tonight as a snack I had a Macdonald's meal with 6 nuggets, large fry, and medium coke because despite eating all day I am so hungry and have nothing left to eat. I am quite literally eating myself out of house and home. despite eatingball this im not gaining any weight. if I go longer than an hour without eating something I get thirsty, dizzy, shaky and weak. there is no history of diabetes anywhere in my family. I haven't been able to go to thw gym because I'm so hungry working out feels impossible. I'm nor even shitting any extra despite eating whT feels like an impossible amount of food. even when i feel full i still feel like im starving. what could be causing this. please before I eat my arm off. Edit: i don't know if these might be related but I have a doctors appointment scheduled because I've noticed I've also been getting really bad almost cystic acne in places like right under my jaw beneath my ears, my upper back and shoulders especially under the nape of the neck, chest, and forehead. I'm also really tired, sluggish, and cold most of the time

2023.06.04 23:18 Odd-Philosopher8950 Steak is better on the stove
Going to get my house burned down over this post but so be it
Steak is better with a sear. There is more surface area when cooking with cast iron. It's really that simple.
Grills just spray flame all over the steak. Don't watch it and fat drips on the flame you just toasted 100 dollars in beef.
It's better to cook more food at once and that's about it.
Looking forward to the death threats

2023.06.04 19:17 Feeling-Animator1831 Advice for a steak house! Soft opening sucked! We have sous vide machines. I’m thinking there is a way to sous vide ahead then hold cold on the line, I think the chef didn’t use them because he is thinking we need to pull them straight from the water bath onto the grill? Advice please!!
Basically our soft opening sucked. We don’t have great place on the line for water baths, but I know there’s a way to use the sous vides. I just don’t personally have a lot of experience with that. Steak house experienced people please advise!

2023.06.04 18:07 Back2Faith I wish I could go back to Catholicism
This is more of an off the chest post, but here goes. Two years ago I started going to a Catholic Church. It was 30 minutes from my house, but I would get up 2 hours early every morning and drive there for morning mass every day before work, plus Sundays. I absolutely loved mass.
The richness of the tradition of mass and what it stood for. The solemnity of the hymns. The reading of the Bible followed by a short, albeit poignant sermon. And the reverence for the Eucharist. I found God and built a deep relationship with Him in a Catholic Church, but then I couldn't get past some of my issues with mortal and venial sins, the adoration of Mary and the Saints that I felt was bordering on idolatry, and the idea of purgatory.
So I left and started attending my husband's non denominational church that is down the road from our house. One year later and I've lost my zeal because I hate his church. The songs lack substance to me. The sermons usually tip toe around the meat of the Word because it's like the pastor doesn't want to offend anyone. And communion is once a month and feels more like a friendly potluck of stale bread and grape juice than the solemn act of thanking our Lord for what he did for us on the cross.
I really wish I could go back to Catholicism. I miss the deep meditation on Jesus sacrifice when I prayed the Hail Mary and the Jesus prayer. I miss actually wanting to go to church and not skipping it 3 weeks in a row because I feel like I don't get anything out of it when I attend. Aye. I'm going to go pray now.
Update: Hey everyone, so I kinda wanted to update this post. I ended up skipping church at my regular church again this morning and after I posted this I ended up looking up my local parish and turns out their service still hadn't started, so I went to mass this morning.
The priest said something that really resonated with me in his sermon. Pulling from this morning's reading, he said that even when the Israelites were stiff necked people, he didn't abandon them. And even when they abandoned him, he still stood by them because they were his people and God who is love doesn't abandon us. Then he said, even if we leave the Church, God who is love will not abandon us and always want us to come back to him because he truly loves us.
I am not going to lie, I started tearing up hearing that. I still need to work through some stuff, but I think I'm going to go back again next week. I can't keep going to the non denominational church. I feel like I'm being spoon fed mashed peas when I'm dying for some steak and potatoes.
Please pray for me, y'all.

2023.06.04 17:21 hnqn1611 16 Skills Sets Every Man Must Master
| https://preview.redd.it/10ql16heq04b1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d8dc4f282bad916ebf06dea98e7cdd1cd32fe67e 16 Skills Every Man Should Master Part of being a man is being competent and effective in the world - and to do that, there are some basic skills every guy should master. Of course, the following skills are not limited to men, and some of them may even surprise you - however, when it comes to certain things, a guy is expected to know how to get them done. Though some of these reinforce a traditional idea of being a man, take what you can from this list to become a bit more well-rounded. Number 1 - Dress For The Occasion Black-tie… Semi-formal… Business casual… Do you find yourself asking what the heck these terms mean anytime you see them on an event invitation? With just a little bit of study and practice, you’ll come to automatically know the differences. For instance, business casual means wearing a button-down shirt and khakis (or even jeans, depending on where you live). Dressing properly for the occasion is a fine art and can sometimes require some guess and check, but it goes a long way to at least seem like you’ve got the right idea. Number 2 - How To Tie A Tie Perhaps you’re not the most elegant or classy guy on the block, or attend formal events regularly - but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t know how to tie a necktie. Weddings, business meetings, and job interviews are just a few occasions when a sharp necktie is appropriate, and you’ll probably attend several of those in your lifetime. If you don’t know how to tie a tie, you’re not alone - most guys don’t know how to do it correctly! You can’t expect your mother to tie your tie all your life. And those clip on-ties… they’re just not the same. It's not necessary to know how to tie elaborate knots, but you should at least know one way of doing it properly. The half or full Windsor will give your tie a simple, yet classy look - and they’re are both easy to learn. Number 3 - How To Iron Clothing Every man is going to have a period of time in his life when he is on his own; and among the practical skills, he should know and master how to properly iron his clothes. It’s really not that hard, and takes just a few minutes - but it can make all the difference between an outfit looking put-together or sloppy. If you don’t know how to iron, you can watch videos online. Number 4 - How To Shine Shoes If you're wondering why you need to shine your Vans, that's a sign that you need some more shoes in your arsenal. Every man needs some nice dress shoes - because there are some places you can’t show up in your sneakers, no matter how much you paid for them. First, make sure you get some nice dress shoes - spend at least $100 dollars on them, and keep them in good condition. It looks really bad when nice dress shoes are scuffed up from years of wear – and that pretty much defeats the whole purpose. Believe me, people look at shoes and judge. Number 5 - How To Cook If your current signature dish is Kraft dinner, it’s probably time you learn to cook some real meals. Knowing your way around the kitchen can be intimidating at first, but even with just a single pot you can make tasty meals that will impress friends, family, and dates. In addition, cooking your own food can be rewarding, cheaper, and healthier than eating instant meals or take-out. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you can work on creating an actual signature dish for those special occasions. Even if you don’t become a great cook, you will at least be self-sufficient. Number 6 - How To Clean Up Many guys grow up to be oversized boys. They don’t clean up after themselves, and expect the woman in their life to take care of the mess. Even if you live alone, a messy house leads to sloppy habits. So if you’re not doing it yet, you should start ASAP. Make sure you do the dishes, clean the house, and put your dirty clothes in the hamper, not the bathroom floor. Number 7 - How To Change A Tire If you drive every day, it’s pretty much inevitable that at some point, you will get a flat tire. Yes, we do have some great roadside assistance services that can be really useful - but a flat tire shouldn’t be a reason to call for help. In the case that you do get a flat, you should know how to swap out the flat for the spare. That’s why most cars include a spare tire in the trunk or mounted to the back. Knowing how to change a tire is a great skill to have - not only for yourself, but also if you happen to come across someone in distress stranded on the side of the road. Number 8 - Jump Start A Car Have you ever told someone that you didn't have jumper cables just because you were scared that neither of you would know how to do it? The truth is, this scenario is quite common! However, it's very simple and easy to jump start a car. Generally, the two contact points on a car battery are color coded to match the jumper cables. Red goes on red and black on black. Number 9 - How To Drive A Stick Shift With more cars being made with automatic transmission, driving a stick shift is becoming a lost art. Even though it may not be something you need day-to-day, knowing how to drive a car with a manual transmission is a good skill to have. Obviously, it’s perfectly fine to own an automatic car, but if a situation arises where you need to use a stick shift, you should have the skills to be able to step up to the occasion. Number 10 - Good Situational Awareness Situational awareness involves being aware of your immediate surroundings and the impact of your actions or the actions of others’ - as it relates to the well-being of yourself and those around you. Since anything could happen at any moment, a man should always be prepared to act according to the circumstances. It’s not about being paranoid, but you need to develop situational awareness. This means having the ability to quickly figure out what to do when you notice something going wrong. Number 11 - How To Impress With Small Talk Small talk will get you through awkward social situations and improve your self-confidence. It’s a skill that you can master with practice. Be it at a cocktail party or a casual meeting on the street - knowing how to hold a conversation can be the difference between being remembered as ‘interesting,’ or ‘boring.’ It’s an important people skill, and once you master it, you’ll be able to network more efficiently, make more friends, get more dates, and get ahead in your life. Number 12 - How To Ask A Woman On A Date As modern as this world is, most women still expect men to make the first move. This means knowing how to ask a woman out on a date. For this, it’s necessary to be aware of the character and attitude of the woman, and it’s important to be attentive to her body language. Be patient and respectful - and also know when to take a hint. Number 13 - How To Craft A Cocktail Being able to mix a couple of signature drinks far surpasses serving wine or beer. Now, let’s just be clear… Whiskey and Coke doesn’t count as a real cocktail. A real cocktail requires a bit more effort and balance - both in the ingredients and in the amounts used. Even if you don’t drink, you should know how to make at least a few really good cocktails - so do a little research and learn a bit of mixology. Number 14 - How To Grill Barbecues are a great way to get people together, and they can be a lot of fun - especially in the warmer months. They combine two of our favorite things: eating and the outdoors. But, you’ll be hard-pressed to manage that on your own if you don’t know how to operate a grill! Familiarize yourself both with propane and charcoal grilling - and you’ll be able to make killer steaks, burgers or veggie dogs. Number 15 - How To Change A Diaper I know what you’re thinking, but hear me out… Whether you are a dad, plan on becoming one or not, you’ll end up changing a poop-filled diaper at some point - perhaps for a nephew or a friend’s kid. Many men are intimidated by the task, but there’s really not much to it, and there are a tricks that can make it a quick and tidy affair. Number 16 - How To Be Handy Things around the house break, it’s just a fact of life. But, you don’t need to call an expert to fix everything that gets broken in the house. Knowing how to handle some basic repairs will save you time and money. You can pretty much fix almost everything in the house. So get yourself a tool box and let YouTube be your guide. And by the way… women love handy men. There you have it guys. Obviously, this is not an all-inclusive list of every skill that could possibly be important to a man - but if you know how to do at least 10 of these things, then you're well on your way to becoming a well-rounded guy. What do you think? We want to hear your thoughts on these and other skills every man should have. Let us know in the comments below! If you enjoyed this video, give it a thumbs up, and share it with your friends, so we can keep making them. submitted by hnqn1611 to TopPersonality [link] [comments] |
2023.06.04 16:43 Jayfeather41 I regret what I did the last weekend I spent with my dad
My dad has been gone for over 8 years now. i still regret the last weekend I spent with him. My parents were separated but not legally divorced. My dad would pick me up from my moms (who I lived with majority of the time) every other Saturday or Friday night depending on plans. the last weekend he picked me up we went out driving (he was teaching me how to drive) and ate at long horn steak house. He took me back to his parents (he was living with my grandparents) and asked me if I wanted to go to our favorite arcade (this really cool 80s arcade that had every game you could think of and I especially loved the pinball machines) I told him I really wanted a nap as I was exhausted for whatever reason. So I napped for the rest of the day and woke up around 8pm. I came outta the room and he was already asleep so I had snacks with my nana. the next day I was too busy playing song pop with the guy I was crushing on at the time to pay attention to him. he ate breakfast in the basement by himself. He took me back to my moms and I said goodbye and went upstairs. He stayed and chatted with my mom for a while. I never saw him alive again. i did text him a couple times with the last time asking him if I left my favorite webkinz there (a husky named Luke). He said I did and would put it on the dresser for my next visit. I told him thank you and left it at that. It was the last thing I ever said to him. i don’t remember how many days passed before he died but I’ll never forget that phone call late at night. my uncle called me (he and my mom don’t like each other so they didn’t have each other’s number) asking to speak to my mom and inform her of my fathers sudden passing. Pulmonary embolism. I’ll never forget the screams and sobs I made. i feel so much regret for not spending more one on one time with my dad the last weekend we had together. But I was a stupid bratty teenager

2023.06.04 14:45 JAL28 Reavers 2.0 Electric Boogaloo
(Extensive rework of a very old post
here. Do not ask about the post title)
Summary: Absolute little gremlins that steal children and occasionally you. At least they give feathers and can be recruited like mercs
Reavers Reavers are neutral flying mobs that spawn in the Crimson Forest primarily, with 3 spawning per Nethergaol. They have long, slender bodies with a vaguely striped main body and a three-segmented tail ending in a stinger. They have 4 limbs and a large pair of jaws.
Reavers will usually fly around Crimson Forests, sometimes attaching to the side of Log blocks and chewing on them. After about 10 seconds, a ball of paste will form in their jaws and they will fly into their home Nethergaol to deposit it. Successfully depositing a ball of paste causes their tails to grow one stage, providing 1 more feather when sheared.
Reavers can grow feathers on their tails which can be sheared to produce 1-3 feathers depending on the stage of growth, which can be inferred from how many segments of their tail are feathered.
However, these creatures are far from benign; if a Reaver is within a 16 block radius from a baby mob, it may fly towards that mob and grab onto it with their limbs, flying up into the air with it and attempting to bring it back to their Nethergaol, which despawns it instantly. It may also more occasionally do this for grown mobs(but biting to death instead of carrying to a Nethergaol), including the player; if captured, the player can look up and attack the Reaver, causing it to let go of the player.
If aggravated, Reavers can sting with their stinger; unlike Bees, their stingers can be used multiple times without falling off, and inflict fire damage for 5 seconds instead of poison. They can also bite their enemies for 4 damage(2 hearts). Like Bees, Reavers will pursue their targets for 25 seconds before becoming neutral again.
Reavers fear Warped Fungi and anything related to them, and actively avoid these in a radius of 3 blocks. If a Reaver finds itself in a Warped Forest, it will frantically attempt to navigate to the nearest non-Warped Forest biome. If a Reaver is in a Warped Forest for 15 seconds, it turns into a Corrupted Reaver.
Reavers are fire, magma and lava resistant. They drop 1-3 orbs of Experience when killed. They can be bred with any kind of meat item(including rotten flesh), causing them to enter love mode and produce a baby Reaver; these items can also be used to speed up the growth of baby Reavers. Reavers produce 1-7 orbs of Experience when breeding.
Nethergaols Summary: The living hives of the Reavers, they can be fed to recruit their Reavers for your own use
Nethergaols are four-legged cuboid mobs that have formed a symbiotic relationship with Reavers; the Reavers use its body as habitation, and in return attack anything that threatens their host. Nethergaols can spawn rarely in Crimson forests and never despawn; they spawn with a maximum capacity of 3 Reavers, although if enough meat is brought back by their Reavers, they can grow additional segments of their bodies upwards for a maximum of 10 housed Reavers. Nethergaols are passive and will run away if attacked, letting their Reavers handle the enemy instead.
Once fully grown, Nethergaols will spawn a small pod on their heads which can be removed by right-clicking and placed down. This pod will grow into another Nethergaol in 10 minutes. The pod respawns for every 32 food items/mobs the Nethergaol’s Reavers bring back.
Nethergaols, like Reavers, fear Warped fungi/related blocks, but will not transform. Feeding Nethergaols steak(and only steak) will allow you to recruit its Reavers for around 5 minutes, causing them to follow you and attack anything that attacks you/you attack. However, only 2 Nethergaols worth of Reavers will willingly join; any more and the Reavers will begin infighting.
Corrupted Reavers Summary: Boo
Corrupted Reavers are hostile flying mobs that spawn in groups of 1 in the Warped Forest, or when a Reaver stays in a Warped Forest for 15 seconds. Corrupted Reavers look similar to Reavers, but have patches of black covering their body intermittently; one of their eyes has been consumed by the black and turned into an enderman-like purple eye, while their wings have been removed in favour of large protrusions of pale white crystals similar to Shulker projectiles; seemingly their main mode of flight.
Corrupted Reavers do not inhabit Gaols or chew on trees; they instead just attack the player by swooping down at them and biting. A Corrupted Reaver's bite can occasionally grant 5 seconds of Levitation, while its sting grants 10 seconds of Levitation.
Reavers fear Corrupted Reavers and attempt to fly away from them; Corrupted Reavers do not attack Reavers. Unlike Reavers, Corrupted Reavers are not fire, magma or lava resistant; they drop 1-3 orbs of Experience when killed, as well as have a 1/5 chance of dropping 1 phantom membrane(affected by Looting).

2023.06.04 02:38 x_ravenwave_x I feel guilty because there is a chance I left my dog with an unfit sitter and it changed his behavior
My dog Brick is my soulmate im pretty sure. Hes a Lab Husky Mix I adopted as a puppy 2 years ago while my husband was stationed overseas to help me cope with the loneliness and he hasn't left my side since outside of road trips where is wasn't feasible to take him. He sleeps with me, stays at my feet when I eat, and is all around a really great dog. Loves people and is super gentle with small animals and kids. He was technically the first one to find out I was pregnant. (He was right outside the bathroom when I took the test and I had a mild freak out so he forced his way in and let me hold him.) And has been super duper gentle with me the whole time.
The problems started when my husband and I took a trip home for the holidays. We were gone for about 3 weeks, and usually when we take long trips like that we have a trusted friend stay in our house to pet sit. Brick has never had any issues prior to this trip. Usually our friends who stay with him love having him around so much and enjoy not having to stay in the barracks that they dont even ask for payment and will come take him on walks even after we return. Hes like a mascot at this point.
Before we left everything appeared to be fine. We did what we usually do, invite our sitter over a few times for dinner leading up to our trip to show him where all of the pet stuff is and help Brick get used to this new person and make sure they seem to get along if its their first time, like it was this guys. He works with my husband and I had met him plenty of times before and he seemed to be a good fit with our animals. We go on our trip, he gives us updates every few days, and this is where I notice behavior changes before we even got back.
Our sitter texted my husband that Brick had Dug out of the back yard and escaped, running around the neighborhood away from him until a neighbor managed to grab him by the collar and catch him. Brick has never, and I mean never, escaped a yard before. Hes never even dug or tried to get out , and Hes very good at recall. Not a single time has he run from me unless we were playing and if I called him back to me he always came and he does the same for most everyone. I figured He didnt know this sitter and chalked it up to him thinking they were playing, even though I knew he had never ever done that with any other person hes stayed with before.
When we got back My house was Destroyed. Partially from Brick chewing and tearing apart the living room, but also the housesitter being disgusting. There were beer cans and trash everywhere, He had been sleeping on the couch even though we had a guest room and when I cleared the blankets from the couch to try and get my house back in order I found Vomit, whether it was from Brick or the house sitter Im not sure but it was obvious it had been there awhile. The toilets had Urine in them like he hadnt been flushing them after he peed and for whatever reason he had moved the coffee table right up against the couch and had been using it like a bedside table even though we had couch side tables? I knew the guy was a little messy but holy crap you know? I was raised to respect peoples spaces and leave them cleaner than they were when I got there. I even strip the linens from beds when I stay in hotels to make it easier on housekeepers, so I was absolutely appalled at how dirty my house was. My husband and i went up to our guest room to strip the sheets, and when we walked in we were blasted with an overwhelming stale urine smell. When I turned to light on, My white Bed skirt was Soaked in dog pee. It was so bad the only foreseeable way I can see that happening is if he locked Brick in that room for hours at a time, possibly even days without letting him out. My carpets are permanently stained because of it. But honestly Im not mad about the mess at this point, im worried about my dog.
What I cant let slide is what Im worried he did to my dog. Ever since weve gotten back Brick has been a nervous wreck and insanely depressed. He tears the house apart if we leave for too long, pees all over the floors and poops on the carpet (Only when we aren't home, if were home he will come get us like he usually does, but its like all his housetraining goes out the window if were gone for more than 20 minutes) But the most concerning thing ive noticed is if he is laying down and something touches him he will jump up and growl like hes been hurt or like hes scared. Hes not injured, we made sure to get him checked out because I was worried maybe he had broken a bone or maybe sprained something but he has a clean bill of health. in the past few weeks hes been playing with my husband again and being energetic, but for a really long time it seemed like he just slept the whole day and night away and only got up and around if we were feeding him or taking him on walks. Another weird detail I noticed is that the extra bag of Dog food hadn't been opened while we were gone, and based on how much was still in the other one when we left it definitely should've been at least open and partially used. He didn't seem like he had lost a ton of weight, and I know that I had told the sitter that sometimes we cook the pets portions or meals when we have dinner and breakfast (all pet safe versions, like pancake mix thats specifically for dogs or unseasoned steak) So I thought maybe he had been cooking for Brick mostly instead of using the dog food, or possibly had bought a new bag while we were gone. His eating habits haven changed so I dont think he was starving him, but the food bag feels like an important detail for some reason.
It didn't cross my mind that maybe the sitter had done something to him (I can be a bit too trusting sometimes, seeing the best in people when I really shouldn't. Its a problem) until he came over for dinner one night with another one of my husbands friends. With the friend he had never met Brick was his usual sociable self. Playing with him and letting him rub his belly and just having a grand old time. But when the Sitter came in? Brick Hid behind me and wouldn't move away until he left. I even reached down to pet him and could feel him trembling like he was scared. I had never seen him do that before and It broke my heart to see. The sitter made a comment along the lines of "You know me, why are you hiding buddy?" and it clicked for me. He had only been acting like this since our trip home, and I had considered maybe he had some separation anxiety because we were gone for so long but even then, we had gone on longer trips without him and always came back to the same pup we had before, and he had never Ever Cowered away from anyone in the 2 years ive had him.
I kept my mouth shut during dinner and kept an eye on my dog, not letting anyone near him and letting him stay at my side while I was cooking when I usually dont let him in the kitchen because I can be clumsy and dont want to spill something on him. But while we were eating Sitter made a comment about how Brick slept at his feet the first few nights and then stopped.
Something about that comment makes me think he had been kicking my dog when he was at his feet, on purpose or not I dont care. I might be jumping to conclusions about that but ever since we got back Brick will jump away from us and yelp like hes been hurt if hes touched even lightly while hes laying down. I almost have to announce that Im about to pet him if hes laying down. Ive spoken with my husband about this, and weve come to the same conclusion that something definitely happened to my dog while we were gone and it has something to do with Sitter.
Ive made it clear hes not to be around our home anymore and Husband agrees, and that from now on we will stick with a sitter who we know loves Brick and who Brick trusts, and I will be asking for more updates from them that include pictures and what they did that day. But for now Im going to be taking him with us and doing road trips instead of flying until I can trust someone with him again. Weve been making strides towards getting him back to where he was. We recently got another puppy for my husband ( He wanted a dog that could bond with him like I was bonded to Brick) and since then weve seen some pretty serious improvements in his mood. They play together and I can tell hes getting his energy back. His eyes dont look as sad and just a few days ago he had the Zoomies in the back yard. He doesn't freak out when we touch him as much, but he still jerks away like hes scared. As far as the housetraining goes, We think its improved but honestly we cant tell the puppy mess apart from his sometimes so who knows on that front.
The amount of guilt I feel is overbearing. I love my dog, hes the one who got me through one of the hardest times in my life with my Husband being gone. Hes like my best friend and the idea that I Put him in a situation where he was mistreated and possibly abused has made me burst into tears. I dont understand how anyone could look at this kind hearted and sweet dog and be cruel to him in any capacity, hes such a fun and loving goofball. I feel like such a failure of a pet parent.

2023.06.03 23:28 psshdjndofnsjdkan Yaebin (Matthew's sister) talking about Matthew in her Instagram Live (compilation)
so yaebin did an ig live where she shared a lot of fun facts and stories about matthew and their family, so i've decided to compile them all. i got all of this from twitter user
nyangmatchu and the
twitter thread that she made so shoutouts to her
they have a sibling tattoo, matthew's is on his left shoulder, hers is behind her right elbow. it wasn't planned but it was when they weren't living together and they wanted sth that represented their bg, it's some old korean artwork pieces. matthew's sibling tattoo is around the size the palm of his hand, and it's cool because if they link arms you can see both their tattoos from the back. his HMC tattoo is in honour their mum, because it's their mum's favourite movie
yaebin said matthew and her are complete opposites, they grew up so different, and their mum really enjoyed raising them, yaebin said matthew is the sun and she is the moon, they both shine bright and positive light but in very different ways. when asked if they share anything in common, yaebin revealed that they're very different, e.g. food matthew doesn't like she likes (e.g. cheese), matthew loves mushrooms, but yaebin doesnt. matthew's favourite food is chicken, fried chicken. it used to be steak but after he came to korea, chicken is all he wants to eat
matthew and her use mainly english with each other, use korean with parents, and use konglish at family gatherings
say my name is yaebin's favourite matthew performance on boys planet, she feels like it really embodied his personality
yaebin said matthew's a gamer so he was in the baesment a lot playing his games, he does love anime too, he love one piece (bingewatched & had a collection of figurines stuff), naruto, and he was quite sporty, he also skateboarded, he was very typical canadian boy in her opinion
on the question of 'do you guys fight?' yaebin said we are still humans, still siblings, we don't always get along but there's a lot of love behind it still, and we usually end things with a good hug and say sorry
when yaebin told matthew happy 21st birthday!!! matthew was like 'im turning 22!!!' he was very adamant that he was 22 (korean age)
yaebin does want to get more sibling tattoos with matthew but she doesn't think he's allowed anymore? now
question about hows it liking having an idol bro? she said she still sees him as her little brother, it's still kind of weird for her, she doesn't know how we picture him but she sees him as her baby bro still to this day, nothing really changed about the way they text
their mum likes matthew's style more than yaebin's but their mum and him have similar style, yaebin said. and she doesn't know why he likes camo print so much either
quality time together for them is that they'll go into their own rooms, do their own thing, then come out and go for a walk, have dinner and chat - just like any siblings really
matthew he started dancing when he was 8 or 10? he wasnt into it as she was (their mum put them both into classes), yaebin did a lot of comps and shows, while he just did rec hiphop until he was 15 or 16 bc thats when yaebin got into a dance team and he joined bc she encouraged him to and matthew got into dance more bc of it
"how was it visiting matt bday cafes?" she said it was seeing a lot of his face, they grew up in canada so they don't have this culture of renting cafes for idols, "i thought i was entering a matthew universe!" it was cool and she liked it, best experience was seeing his face everywhere and everything around her
"how did it feel when you found out he would be on boys planet?" yaebin said she didn't know what it was really so she felt netural, and because matthew doesn't know many people in korea, she was thinking of how she can support him which is how the tiktok videos came to be
question: have you seen matthew since the finale? yaebin said yes but only once, it's so sad bc she extended her trip initially to see him more but after the finale, the boys went straight to work and getting ready for the debut launch. matthew's been so busy, it's even hard to stay in contact though phone, like they'd contact at midnight for a bit and he'd say that he'd just got home ;; she said they do have plans to meet so she can drop off fan letters and stuff from his birthday and he can drop off gifts for his family (but he's gonna need to ask his manager), but yaebin said she's happy he's busy doing what he wants
matthew used to call yaebin 'noona' when they were younger bc their dad said it was respectful but he just calls her yaebin now and she's ok with it
"how did you feel when matthew was p03" - first thing she did was cry, bc all the stuff that was happening before the last ep, she already was giving up after p04 was announced and was thinking about how to comfort him already, but then he was p03!! the three of them (matthew, yaebin and their mum) made eye contact and the three of us were like oh my god! yaebin said 3rd seemed a bit far fetched at the time with everything that was happening but she's proud of this guy, killed it, seokryudans made this happen
yaebin said she did meet hanbin after the finale, and he said matthew told me you were really good at dancing and she's like the one who's good at dancing is you sir! yaebin said hanbin was really nice, and yaebin saw hanbin's sister too but it was really busy but they do follow each other on instagram so she does chat with her here and there
fav memory of yaebin and matthew growing up, they used to live in this gated town house area where there's a huge hill, matthew decided to bike down this hill and he smashed into someone else's garage door and got his entire face scraped (lip & nose), bike ended up in a bush
he doesn't swear as much as yaebin, "he doesn't swear that often... he doesn't swear"
matthew doesn't drive but yaebin does
yaebin: can matthew twerk? yes matthew can twerk, but don't tell him i told you!!
yaebin said "matthew was more americanised so for me it's also kind of weird seeing the cute version of him, bc i swear he was not this cute growing up with me"
what does yaebin think of the oppa agenda matthew is pushing? "it's so weird for me bc i dont see him as an oppa bc im the noona, it's defiitely interesting, an interesting perspective bc i think it represents another side of him"
matthew was very good at school, "definitely better than me" yaebin said
dream trip with your brother? "probably japan! we'd be living our childhood dream then" she mentioned that he was quite sad bc they couldn't even explore japan when they went recently since they just went for a day to perform kcon
is matthew scary at home? "matthew's too nice, he's the least scariest thing ever"
what yaebin likes most about matthew is his personality definitely
matthew does like studio ghibli
yaebin said her korean is better than matthew's bc his agency was very shocked at how fluent she was when she visited
[matthew texted her during the live LOL] after yaebin called him out for accusing her of not remembering his age when "he just forgot that he's also canadian" he didn't even say you're right, he just said sth like "this is what you're leaving a 1 minute voice note for?" [here's the full video i highly recommend watching it it's so funny skjdlfs]
q. is matthew into photography? yaebin: idk? i think so? i think he is
yaebin: "i feel like the idol life is very suitable for matthew because… growing up he’s always been really good at being told what to do? that sounds so bad, i’m not saying he doesn’t have freedom, he definitely has freedom within this work that he does but at the same time i feel like it’s very planned out? like his life is very like you have to live it this way, you can’t do this or you can’t do that, there’s a lot of restrictions within his life.” but yaebin doesn’t like ppl telling her how to live her life, she grew up very stubborn. yaebin said "i feel like matthew is great at it (being an idol) and likes it and loves it."
yaebin doesn't usually send matthew memes bc he's too busy to check anyways
how matthew got into kpop and being an idol according to yaebin: "So I don't know if I fully had influence on him wanting to become a kpop dancer or for him to be famous but I actually didn't know much about it until after he was telling people about it and I was actually talking to a lot of Matthew's friends and people that knew him and knew me and they were telling me what he's been saying about me, so he essentially was saying that- I didn't realise how much of an impact my life had on him originally. For me, like I said I've always been kind of a rebel child because I've always been very into just me doing what I wanted to do with my life, I was very adamant about me living my life the way i want to live it and be happy with my choices so I did grow up fighting a lot with my parents, with my dad mainly, obviously I still love my dad but we definitely had a bit of a rough relationship when I was growing up because I was so stubborn and also because my dad was so stubborn, and I get my stubbornness from HIM but he was very stubborn in me living my life the way he wanted me to live it and Iwas very stubborn in me wanting to live my life the way I wanted to live it so that's why I didn't go to school (university), I decided to just go into dancing and pursue dance instead and that's why I love to teach […] I am very happy with what I'm doing right now [...] But I guess that had a big influence on my brother in a way where he realised that he didn't want to go to school either, and he wanted to do something that he loved and we did have a discussion before he decided to do this, before he decided to audition and become an idol. So there was one day he came back from school and I told him like 'hey are you feeling? how do you feel about school? and he said that he kind of felt like 'mhm' about school, he's never the type to ever shut down and idea or like 'i hate something', he cares about every single person around him so he's very careful with the things that he say and expressing himself because he hates hurting other people's feelings and that's why he's such a little cutie! but he was kind of like 'school's ok but I don't love it.' so I was like 'ok so what do you want to do?' because I feel like school isn't the right answer for you if you don't love what you're doing because I told him you're just going to be stuck in school, wasting money, creating school debt, and doing something you don't even love doing, so what's the point? and at the time, it was after we were dancing together and ANYWAYS I essentially said, with the whole auditioning too, I think he had an easier time with my parents letting him go to the audition and letting him go to Korea to pursue this because of how much leniency my dad had gained from me. Because I fought him so much for my life and l'm glad I did because I feel like it made it so much easier for Matthew, and I'm glad that it was easier for Matthew. And I'm glad that I was the punching bag because I always grew up being very protective of Matthew too so I'm glad that I was the one who had to go through all the tough poopy part of life and Matthew can kind of have an easier way of getting there. So, I guess that's kind of in a way how I inspired him because he watched me do what I wanted to do..."
(i meant to post this like two days ago but *in gyuvin's voice* sorry i forgot)

2023.06.03 18:58 BigFarmerJoe A Man Who Has Sex With Other Men's Wives Is Truly A Cuck
Cucks like it. Remember that. They like having sex with someone who is also having sex with someone else. They are OK accepting the sexual scraps of another person's spouse. They are OK with accepting the scraps of attention they recieve from another person's spouse.
My STBXW's AP really got off on humiliating me. He learned from her that I'm not a fan of steak, so he started coming over when I was at work to cook steak for her and spend time with my family.
About half of the things they texted about were about me. I barely knew the guy, spoke with him incredibly briefly at a couple of my wife's work functions. Every time, it was deer in headlights, nothing to say to me, can't look me in the eyes.
It was suspicious enough behavior for me to notice right away. I had suspicions ever since the first time I met this guy. He was truly a weasel, a spineless little man. Five years my senior, much weaker build, incredibly insecure, and of poor moral character.
Unbeknownst to me, as soon as my wife and I left the bar, he started talking all this shit about me. I was suspicious, but still feeling fairly secure because I hadn't discovered evidence of her betrayal yet. But he was there feeling all the insecurity of sharing a woman he claimed to love with another man.
He liked that feeling. He liked knowing that when she was with him, she was rejecting me. Being "better" than me became a big focus for him. Talking about how much better he would treat her, about how much of a better Das he would make than me, about how sorry he was that she and my son have to deal with "my behavior."
He was intensely focused on me. He knew my every move, or some distorted version of it, because she would tell him. He gave her presents and had sex with her in my bed on our anniversary. He gave her a long valentine and had sex with her on valentines day. He did these things because he got off on knowing that later I would be having sex with my wife.
Being "better" than me was his obsession. And he didn't even know me at all. It was never about me. It was about his fragile ego and it's need to "best" another man.
They had sex while my toddler was in the house, many times. He told her at one point "Yesterday was really nice. It felt like a family day." He was fully imagining a family with my wife while she was still living with me. She probably would still be keeping him around on the side if I hadn't left her immediately upon discovering this guy.
I left because I have self-respect. My cuck is now still future-faking and pretending like he's going to stick around and raise my son. Again, true cuckold behavior. He has no children of his own, he gets off on the fact that a woman he's having sex with also has sex with others, and he has the desire to raise another man's child.
It's funny because the exact same thing he was using to get off "Look how I'm fucking another man's wife, I'm cucking this guy so hard - I'm superior to someone." Was a total projection.
He was always the cuck. He has a very weak ego and sense of self. So weak that it needs to be constantly stoked by feeling superior. So weak that he's willing to raise another man's child and accept another man's sexual scraps. So weak that he is willing to knowingly sign up for the same sort of treatment down the line.
A cuck knows he is sharing, and gets off on it. If you were cheated on and left as soon as you found out, you're not a cuck. If a man knows he is sharing and likes it, he's a cuck in the truest sense of the word.
All cucks have very fragile egos. Very few are willing to admit what they are to others or themselves, but deep down, they know. If your woman leaves you for another man who knew about you for months, sneaking around you, talking shit about you behind your back but silent to your face, you are dealing with a cuck.
A cuck who is so humiliated himself from accepting your scraps that he needs to lash out. He has a need to hate you. He has a need to talk shit about you. He knows on some level that he doesn't have the ability or self-respect to attract someone decent and honest, so he thinks he deserves a whore. Your spouse, the whore. Him, the cuck.
You, if you left as soon as you knew, are not a cuck. You, sir, are a Chad. A Chad with self respect who doesn't put up with that kind of treatment from a whore. This pathetic, envious man had to swim in your wake. He accepted it. He got off on it. He was having feelings about it, yet he continued. Truly willing to eat your leftovers. Truly a cuck in every sense.

2023.06.03 18:58 Ajdf-1995 Is it okay for me to "ghost" someone and informing them beforehand?
So I think I'm an ahole for this long post. Some background. I (F23)met someone (M23) from a school event and we have been talking since then (around 4 months). We decided to try and hangout. On our first date since we were both indecisive we spend an hour deciding on where to eat and eventually decided to go to a steak house on town, we paid for our own meals. And the thing is this guy seems like lacks at table manners, he was slurping the soup loudly, and also chewing loudly. I tried telling him to yk kinda keep it down? But then again idk how he was taught about those so I can't really reprimand him.
After then I tried distancing myself, I reply an hour or 4 hours late. Then the second date came, well not really a date. There was an event in our town, I told him that I am going with my friends. I repeatedly told him that I wanna go with my friends and I don't want to hangout with him that day because I will be busy with my friends. The solution he came up with? He would meet my friends and hangout. I tried hinting that its our gals date, that I wanna spend time with my closest friends only. He kept messaging me to ask my friends about it, after some time I just agreed with it to just to get over with. During the event I tried giving wrong area of the place just to losing but no avail, he still found us. I was annoyed but I'm with my friends so I stayed calm and later on just accepted that things doesnt happen the way I want.
After that I never really talked to him that much, my reply take days or even a week since I was in my hometown with my family during the holidays.
When I finally went back to college, I again saw this person, or more like he saw me. It was lunch time and I was on my way to mcdo I just said hello and just get on my way. He then told me that we should eat together, I couldn't come up with an excuse so I just kinda laughed. We got to mcdo and I said that he should order first, so he did then after that he found a table and sit there. Then I ordered, I was kinda shock about the amount I have to pay since I ordered the same all the time, but I thought maybe things have changed or something. When I got the receipt, I just found out that he actually didnt pay. So I asked him about it, he said that he saw that I got money from the holiday event in our hometown so that I should treat him. I was speechless, like I dont know what to say about that. But I just accepted my fate, it already happened anyway. When we were talking I jokingly said, " I think I should ghost you, and block you in all of my socmed." He just said, that I shouldnt do it. I did, I didn't block him, but I restricted his account so I wouldn't see any news about him.
After two months, today, a friend of his, message me saying I was an ahole for ghosting his friend, and telling him beforehand. That if I'm going to ghost his friend I shouldn't have told him.
So I'm not entirely sure what to do now, like do I apologize about ghosting him or apologize for informing him beforehand??

2023.06.03 16:07 AmbitiousHornet The steak scene in Holland
I know that there's not much of a steak scene in Holland. There are the usual suspects, Logan's and Crazy Horse. Logan's is pretty consistent and while you might happen upon a decent steak there, you will never get a great steak there. Note, stay away from the filet at Logan's, it's embarrassing. I've had some very good steaks at Crazy Horse, but find them to be inconsistent and the restaurant is so popular that you will need to consider what time that you get there to get seated. For a runner-up, I had a strip steak at Rail House, I really wasn't expecting much and it exceeded my expectations.
So, what are your favorites and why.
Does anyone have a take on Brodie's in Saugatuck?
Does anyone have a take on the Ruth's Chris in GR? Note that I've been to several Ruth's Chris in other markets and one was extremely consistent and another was not.
