Hey gents, let me preface this off with saying yup, I'm probably a dummy. That being said, a year after my Dday and getting divorced, I figured it was about time to entertain some fun with no intention of wife 2.0. I've worked through my mental issues, in a great spot with careehouse, got my gym body back in action and also got the snip a few years back, so I'm ready to rock.
I decided to make a profile on Hinge & Bumble and so far there has been some OK luck getting things going. I definitely notice many women are flaky, they will message you but then be barely interested in holding a convo or some converse great, we get to a certain spot and then again, ghost. I'm out of action for 12 years but wanted to see if anyone had any tips overall. I'm in good shape (especially for my age), successful, motivated and all that but I can only say this is more frustrating and time consuming than anything. I'm going to give this little experiment about a month to run but if anything and just see what fun (or drama) it leads to.
What worked for you all?

You left us 3 months ago. It didn't have to be this way. Late 2019 we told you & mom that your first grandchild was on the way - you barreled down the driveway that day when you saw us talking to her outside, hadn't seen you move that quickly in years but it was great to know you still had it in you. Then covid hit - you succeeded in never catching it, but you let it kill you anyway. In a matter of months we went from all that energy to me having to help you navigate three small steps on our stoop just to get in the house and visit your grandson. Was it worth it? Did hiding in the house, refusing to get out & go anywhere other than my place occasionally, sitting in the car while mom shopped, did it pan out the way you hoped?
In case you can't tell, I'm still angry. I'm angry that you allowed yourself to deteriorate this way in your early 70's. I'm angry that you waited a week to tell me you fell in the house and hadn't left the 2nd floor because you fucked up your shoulder trying to get off the floor stubbornly on your own and then couldn't support yourself to even make it down the stairs. I'm angry that you did it twice more, got yourself stuck in a chair, finally had no choice but to let the fire department come in, and then still refused to go to the hospital. I'm angry that when it happened again the next day and you had no choice but to go to the hospital because you couldn't even get out of the chair they left you in you became quite possibly the worst patient in the history of that hospital. I'm angry that you refused the testing they wanted to do - I know you hated confined spaces, but they were willing to sedate you. Was a few hours without food or water before they put you out really so bad? I'm angry that you called me in a panic and expected me to leave my napping son to rush to the hospital, telling me you were going to die if I didn't get there. I drive all that way to find out it was because you didn't like the hospital bed they gave you. I'm sorry that you couldn't get comfortable, I did all I could to make it better for you - when you fell asleep I spent an hour combing over diagrams I found online trying to figure out how to adjust the stupid thing so that you'd feel better. Then you spring on me your genius plan that I should help you sit sideways on the bed with no support and your legs dangling. You were labeled a fall risk for a reason! If I did that you'd have zero support behind you and if you fell I'd have no way to get you back up. I'm angry that if I'd gone with this plan of yours I could've gotten in a lot of trouble if something happened to you. I'm angry that you called mom at all hours of the night expecting her to run up to the hospital and wait on you. She's older and has mobility issues too, that wasn't fair. If you didn't think the nurses were doing enough (they were) you should've hired an aide to be there with you to tend to whatever it is you wanted. And when i told you as much, your next genius plan to be transferred to the nursing home was even worse. I know you worked there for 30 years, I know you felt you could smooth talk your way into anything you wanted there because they all liked you so much, but what did you expect them to do for you? They couldn't keep you monitored the way the hospital did. They weren't equipped to have you hooked up that way. And what happened? 15 hours after you arrived you stopped breathing. Was it worth it? Did your usual attempts at schmoozing your way into whatever you want pan out as you planned?
Now here I am, mourning your loss and stuck wearing two pairs of shoes. I still have my own responsibilities at home, and now I have yours too. Mom still can't drive, still can't see so good, and shouldn't be having to take an uber everywhere. We need to get her out of that house because the stairs are no good for her and it's in disrepair since you let so many things go for so long. She can't live like that, especially on her own. It's taking a lot longer than I wanted it to because you never bothered writing a will. Now we have to get all the finances in order before we can find her an independent living facility. I hope she remains safe during that time. You know that I don't have a spare room for her to stay in with us, and even if I did her having to get in and out of the bathtub would be a big risk every single day. And once she's safely in a new place, guess who will be stuck clearing out the house? More time I don't get to be with my son, your grandson, because it's not safe for him to be in that house either. I hope we can find a way to get it all done.
I'm at a loss for what to do - there's so much to be done, but I feel so overwhelmed that all I want to do is absolutely nothing. You kept everything such a damn secret that I don't even know where to begin
All this while planning for the arrival of our second child. Yes, you heard that right, he's going to be a big brother. You'll never be there to meet #2, they'll only know of you through stories and pictures. Again I ask, was it worth it?
I hope you're at peace, I really do. But boy did you leave me in a bad way.

Random thoughts but I love Ramsey but I don't want this tshirt because it has that "idiot sandwich" meme on it I know it's funny but it was a sketch. I need a Nino shirt

So I have a modded play through going and it’s all been working perfectly fine for a long while now (level 43 save) but all of a sudden I’ve noticed that all NPCs and my character have missing skin textures/meshes. If I remove clothing and armor there’s nothing there. Except heads.
My question is what could cause this? Bearing in mind, I haven’t changed the mod load order in any way, in fact. Once I had my stable load order working I turned the Xbox offline and haven’t re-connected it since. So the modded load order was working perfectly fine with no bugs, and even though nothing has changed with the load order at all, this bug has occurred and I can’t seem to get rid of it.
Any thoughts on how and why this might have happened and if it’s fixable at all?

Here is my load order. The game runs perfectly smooth, level 40 character without a single crash after multiple long play sessions. And suddenly all bodies have now disappeared!

Pretty sure ITA…I’ve gotten myself into an irreparable family drama situation. My husband has cousin who is, essentially, a shitheel human. We recently found out that he’s been living entirely off of the kindness of an elderly aunt for the past 15 years. He hasn’t worked a job for that entire time. The aunt recently lost a battle with cancer. Family is frustrated with him, as he’s been hitting up other family for money, saying he doesn’t know what he’s going to do now that his aunt is gone and won’t be paying his rent. This guys always rubbed me the wrong way. A couple years ago I caught him posting someone else’s art, passing it off as his own. I knew I’d seen the image before. So I google searched and sure enough, the image was stolen. Since then he’s opened an Etsy shop where he sells T-shirt’s, stickers, decals and “paintings”- sharpie drawings on foam core. For the record, he’s only had about 25 sales or so, so not enough to live on. Almost all, if not all, of the imagery is stolen art. I myself am an artist so this really set me off. I’ve been so tempted to call him out but hadn’t because I didn’t want to upset my husband. They were close growing up, but my husband almost feels sorry for him now, seeing what kind of person he’s turned out to be. So, yesterday. We’re at the aunt’s house picking out things we wanted before they do an estate sale. My husband already claimed a painting that he’d loved since he was a child. As we’re putting things aside, the cousin goes up to my husbands mother and said “they’re taking the picture? I wanted that, Chris said I could have it”. He didn’t come up to my husband all. Just claimed he had dibs and took it out to his truck. This understandably upset my husband who’s not at all confrontational. He was bothered but didn’t say or do anything. I was livid! It was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. Later yesterday I took to fb and made a post that folks who steal art and claim it as their own are trash. It felt good to post it. Husband even chimed in. Today, both of us still salty over what happened (him taking advantage of the aunt being the most angering). I decided to look at his fb, as he’s always posting and promoting his “art”. I saw a post of another image I’d seen before. So, I commented a screenshot of the original work saying “you may want to credit the original artist, her name is…and the piece is called...” Someone else had commented on how beautiful the pic was and I replied to that comment with the real artist’s name and a link to her Tumblr. After that, understandably, cousin unfriended my husband and I. My husband is now sad that the relationship with his cousin has been cut off. As frustrated as he was with him, he didn’t want to lose touch completely. And now here I am, the incredibly angry asshole who thinks their seeking justice for unknown artists, inserting myself in family drama by calling out his art theft. It felt great in the moment but now I feel guilty.

Not sure how to put this but what i mean is robots that are female but barely have certain characteristics that don't look so feminine?
The only ones i know are Smallfoot, Spay-C, Pathfinder and Crasher (Gobots), Eve (Wall-e), Gali (Bionicle), Breez (Hero Factory) and Karen (SpongeBob, i guess she counts)
I probably said something "sexist" or something during that. To shorten this; No tits, no hourglass figure, no faux sexy body nor faux parts that resemble something female-ish (like Jenny Wakeman's pigtails)

PART III: Outside of Sims

• Any fun, RL story that relates to Sims, somehow? An example is…I once dressed up as a Sim to go to a college party, because I didn’t want to wear a “real” costume! I purchased acrylic paper, spray painted it green, cut & superglued, and then stuck a green glow stick inside. I then put it on a headband. What ended up being a “lazy” costume ended up being the most popular costume. Mostly because there was a glowing green plumbob floating in the sea of 19yos haha. I’ll include a photo of it in the comments!

This post was prompted by private conversations I’ve had with several builders who I’ve recently met through these subs — some of whom are here; some are not. Playing this game solo for so long has been quite an experience, so it's been awesome connecting with like-minded people from all over. I used to think everyone played the game the way I do (in Live mode), but it's been humbling to learn how two experienced players can know very little about the gameplay features of the other!
While it's less likely that our differences will be as drastic since we are all builders to some extent, I've still come to learn that there are so many different approaches within building, too. So, I’m excited to share my personal experience with you — for you to enjoy discovering how unique everyone's gameplay is, and I have yet to find two that are truly the same. I hope you have fun reading through the responses and hopefully, enjoyed answering them too, if you did that. And if you did, thank you for doing so and for contributing! I'm looking forward to reading your responses!
