Hi before I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, I had developed gastritis that was diagnosed by the hospital, my blood tests came back and was given thyroxine, that has made my stomach pain excruciatingly painful I was streaming in agony i could not talk well and my IBS flared up at the same time, I could not breathe, this lasted from 3 am till 7:30 am and the pain did not let up, my stoles have been a green colour, I went to the doctors the day after and the was told the thyroxine causes acid reflux that increases my pain levels, that i have to ride it out and the green stoles are normal, that if I do not take these pills then it will be life theatherning for me if I don't take them and could die etc due to heart failure I have told my GP all this.
I have since cut out 80% off all foods and will not eat ultra processed foods, I have cut out all red meats, including pork (bacon sausages and any fried foods) along with many other foods, including any acidic fruits, and sugar free chocolates etc, I do not smoke or never drink alchihol as I avoid it in over 4 years, and even more so since passing my driving exam, I even stopped anything to do with keto or low carb foods, so far the pain is still there but not as server as it was but its uncomfortable, and even though I have been given stomach tablets and take antacids every 4 hours but not at the same time as the thyroxine.
I cant walk far like going to the park with the children caused me to cramp in my stomach, the thyroxin tablets that stomach cramps can last up to two weeks so I am hoping it will settle down afterwards as my body is still to adjust with the meds, its hard to sleep at night because of this.
I am under review by the GP.

We have asked multiple vets for sunscreen recommendations but it's not an area they are familiar with, since most of their patients are well protected by hair.
We tried several titanium dioxide based sunscreens, but they are thick, sticky, and difficult to wash off. There was some concern that the thick coconut oil based formulas were aggravating our dogs skin issues. I'm also concerned about their effectiveness because titanium dioxide alone does not offer great coverage of the UV spectrum.
We tried epi pet sunscreen, but found it to be way too heavily scented.
Guidelines I referred to when looking for a sunscreen: ASPCA article (https://www.aspca.org/news/pets-and-sunscreen-dont-get-burned-myths) AKC article (https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/do-dogs-need-sunscreen/)

Hello! I beat my infestation last September but it’s left me with a lasting hypervigilance against the critters. I collect old electronics from thrift stores and local marketplaces.
How long can I leave them in the car before being reasonably sure they are bedbug-free? I have an old television in my back seat from a thrift for 2 weeks now and I’m not getting bitten in my car, so should I take that as a green light to bring it in?
I’m in a location that doesn’t get reliable summer heat, so “cooking them out” is not gonna be easy to achieve.

2023.06.04 19:05 OrenthalJamesPimpin Neglect is abuse!

I was raised by two deeply troubled people. My mother was a drug addict with a dependent personality. My father is a religious zealot with narcissistic personality disorder. They completely ignored me as a child, going so far as to “forget” to enroll me in school until the government forced them to do so when I was 8-years-old. No attempts were ever made to socialize me with other children. I was given no guidance or instruction on how to behave or anything like that, except for punishment when I didn’t magically figure out how to act on my own. I was bombarded with extremest religious propaganda in place of true morality and expected not to question any of it in any way, all while watching my parents break every rule of the religion they insisted I uphold. I was often not fed for days, becoming so skinny that my ribs protruded far beyond my gut. On top of that I was severely beaten and told that if I ever spoke a word of it to anybody, I would be placed in a foster home where I would be raped and beaten more severely than I was at home. I was expected to cook for myself and make my own money to buy the things I wanted and needed as young as 7. I remember one time when I broke my arm and had to beg for days to be taken to a hospital, and I remember my father becoming frustrated when he found out that I was actually hurt and wasn’t lying. My parents would throw away my items that they forced me to work and pay for myself out of nothing other than pure malice. When I reached the age of 15, my mother passed away from a drug induced brain aneurysm and my father abandoned me so he could go and live with his girlfriend. I became involved in crime just to feed myself and when I got in trouble, the system treated me like it was all my fault. After all of this, I don’t care for people very much. In fact, I want to see many of them suffer. I want people to feel pain like I do. How do I get past this?

2023.06.04 18:47 Sad-Research1854 i like a guy but i cant get with him

Last night I(f14) was at a party my friends party and a bunch of people from my school were there, including her crush. It was obvious that the guy had no interest in her.. but the problem was he showed an interest in me. I, myself have a rule I don’t get with my friends crushes, flings, whatever it is. But since we kinda are a small school. And I have a big friend group it’s hard to find someone. I was there to support my girl sitting down when her crush kinda showed interest in me. It was like small talk but I kinda had a feeling he was interested but I didn’t wanna be delusional. Long story short people forced Them to dance and he was told he would get money for it, and he didn’t and all hell broke loose and it was a an argument. And by that time I was outside waiting for my ride, and the crush was hiding from the girl that liked him. And he was showing worried, flirting signs and what got me to feel guilty is when, he wiped my tears with his hands since it was windy and my eyes were watery. One of the girls saw it, snitched, said we did something and now we’re kinda in a problem now, but that’s what not I’m upset about. I’m upset abt the fact that I am starting to be attracted to him when I shouldn’t. but it’s hard because she likes a lot of guys and it’s hard for me to have a crush when I have a big friend circle with a small school, so I don’t know how to feel. ( i dont want to make her sound bad i just dont know how else to word this ).
i dont want to make my friend sound like a bad person btw shes a good person and although im not close to her i still feel horrible.
