2023.05.30 23:10 Rayn_the_hunter Looking for character build help. Level 15.

I'm looking to build a character around the combat style of using daggers/knives in a series brutal multiple attacks. The vision I have is a fast shadow moving from enemy to enemy just ripping them apart with small knives. A rogue is the obvious choice, but then all my damage potential is rested on a single attack. Any ideas on what class/muticlass would make this style work? Or is it best to go rogue and flavour the sneak attack as a series of strikes instead of just one?

California state prison Life is truly unpredictable. We all once dreamed of becoming doctors or lawyers, shaping our futures with optimism. But here I am, confined within these prison walls—a reality I never fathomed. Yet, in this desolate place, it seems that no one truly cares. Two months have passed since I arrived, and each day is an arduous struggle for survival, a constant battle against the law of the jungle in its most modern form. Every passing day feels like a never-ending nightmare, gradually consuming my sanity. I can feel myself descending into madness, constantly on edge, my fight-or-flight instinct perpetually activated. There is no respite, not even in the darkness of night. The air is thick with the echoes of tormented screams that haunt our sleep, ensuring that even our dreams are tainted with despair. It’s bewildering how this place not only confines the body but also imprisons the mind. Amidst this bleak existence, I find solace in the intimidating visage I possess and the imposing physique I bear. It sets me apart from those who have succumbed to the depths of this grim abyss, their bodies now six feet under the ground. However, my physique alone could only provide limited protection. It is my own foolish mistakes that may ultimately lead to my demise, or rather, will lead to my death. I have already committed my first error by offending a notorious gang leader. I wish it were a grave offense like taking the life of one of his subordinates, but instead, it was something as trivial as sitting at the wrong table in the canteen. And now, he seeks to end my life. My cellmate warned me of the bounty placed on my head, a sick game concocted by that bastard to torment me. As the cell door buzzed open, its mechanical groan reverberated through the air, signaling the dreaded lunchtime. A chill slithered down my spine, mingling with the sickening anticipation of what awaited me beyond those iron bars. I knew all too well that this time, caution was not merely a choice but a matter of life and death. Every step I took outside, I was acutely aware of the lurking shadows, the hidden dangers ready to strike. The guard’s barked command sliced through the air like a serrated blade, slicing away any semblance of safety or comfort. His voice dripped with sadistic pleasure as he herded us, defenseless prisoners, towards the canteen, a place where pain and violence lurked like ravenous beasts. My heart hammered in my chest, a rapid percussion of fear, as I analyzed my surroundings with feral instinct. I scoured every corner for hidden threats, my eyes darting from one shadow to another, assessing blind spots like a hunted animal on the verge of its last stand. In that moment, an opportunity, as precarious as a spider’s silk, presented itself. The guard, his malevolence etched deep into his sneering face, loomed close to me. I weighed my options, knowing that the wrong move would condemn me to a merciless demise. The specter of death whispered in my ear, urging me to fight back, to strike first and defy the shackles of my oppressors. Without a flicker of hesitation, my hand shot out, the palm of my trembling hand connecting with the guard’s face in a resounding slap that echoed through the corridor. His expression twisted into a grotesque mask of rage, a harbinger of the storm that was about to be unleashed upon me. “You fucker! Come here!” his voice boomed, a thunderous growl that reverberated in the depths of my soul. He charged towards me, wielding his formidable bat with a sadistic gleam in his eyes, as if relishing the opportunity to unleash his cruelty upon my defenseless body. Driven by desperation, I fought back, fueled by the primal instinct to survive at any cost. Blow after blow, I struck with a ferocity borne from a place deep within me, each slap a desperate plea for freedom. But my resistance was futile, a fleeting flicker of defiance in the face of an unyielding storm. The guard’s retaliatory onslaught descended upon me like a torrential downpour of unrelenting agony. His weapon became an extension of his twisted will, delivering bone-shattering blows that fractured my body and shattered my spirit. The searing pain tore through every fiber of my being, eclipsing any physical torment I had endured before. It surpassed the brutality inflicted by my own father, a testament to the depths of human cruelty. Mocking laughter mingled with the sound of my screams, the guard’s sadistic delight intensifying with every strike. I writhed in excruciating pain, my body a mere vessel of suffering, on the precipice of vomiting up the wretched food that had been forced upon me. Each kick landed with merciless precision, a merciless reminder of my insignificance, reducing me to a broken, battered shell of a human being. Finally, my ravaged form was dragged away, cast into the suffocating darkness of solitary confinement. The door closed behind me, sealing my fate within these desolate walls. As the agonizing throbs of pain merged with the suffocating isolation, a twisted symphony of despair played on, etching its haunting melody into the deepest recesses of my mind. Finally, I had survived, but at what cost? A bitter reflection consumed me as I surveyed my new home. “Hey, kid,” a weathered voice suddenly pierced the suffocating silence. The timbre of his voice revealed a man well into his sixties or beyond. Straining to locate the source, I realized it originated from the cell adjacent to mine. Surprised and puzzled, I questioned how I could hear him. Shouldn’t I be in complete isolation? “Kid, I know you can hear me,” he confidently declared, as if he held a secret knowledge. Uncertainty gripped me, leaving me unsure of how to respond or what actions to take in this confined world. To hell with it, I thought. I was already in isolation, so why not engage in conversation? I needed someone to talk to, to maintain a sliver of sanity amidst the suffocating solitude. Even though I believed I wouldn’t lose my grip on reality, I knew that prolonged isolation could weaken even the strongest of minds. So, with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension, I mustered the courage to respond, “Yeah, I can hear you, old man. What do you want?” Yet, a nagging question lingered in the back of my mind. How was it even possible for the old man to communicate with me in this isolated prison? “Nothing. I don’t need anything. I just want to talk. Is that a problem?” the old man’s voice carried a hint of loneliness, longing for connection. “No, not at all,” I replied, my curiosity piqued by his request. “Well then, what’s your name, kid?” he inquired, his tone friendly. “I’m Anvis. And you?” I responded, eager to continue the conversation. “What a peculiar name. Well, I’ve heard stranger names in my lifetime. I’m Sam,” he revealed, his voice warm and inviting. “So, what landed you in this place?”he asked “I was involved in the creation and sale of ghost weapons,” I confessed, a tinge of regret in my voice. “Ghost weapons… ah, yes, I’ve heard about them. You mean those 3D-printed guns? You must have had quite the knack for designing them,” Sam remarked, genuinely interested. “I suppose you could say that, though I never intended for things to turn out this way,” I explained, a mix of frustration and remorse seeping into my words. Sam’s voice filled with curiosity as he asked, “What do you mean?” “Let’s just say I was caught up in a difficult situation. Growing up as an orphan, I found myself entangled with the wrong crowd, doing whatever it took to survive. Unfortunately, that path led me to get involved in the production of ghost weapons. I had no choice, really. It was a matter of self-preservation,” I confessed, a hint of vulnerability in my voice I don’t know why but I was confessing to Sam I felt warmth I felt like talking with a friend. Listening intently, Sam responded empathetically, “Sometimes life pushes us into corners we never anticipated. It’s not always easy to make the right choices when survival is at stake.” Encouraged by his understanding, I continued, “Exactly. I didn’t want any part in it, but circumstances forced my hand. I was coerced into designing those guns under the threat of exposure. However, fate had its own plans. When I went to deliver the weapons, the authorities swooped in, intercepting the guns before they could be used for harm. In a strange way, I felt a sense of relief that they didn’t end up causing any damage.” Sam nodded thoughtfully before sharing his own story, “Well, in my case, I had quite an extraordinary entrance into this prison. I fell through a portal and ended up here.” Oh great I am talking to a lunatic.

2023.05.30 23:08 NicholasWFuller [Waybound] With Waybound ONE WEEK AWAY, I bring you a humble offering, and a plea for help.

I’m really hyped for Waybound. I can’t wait to see how everything ends! I’m sure Lindon ascends but what else? How will he get the monarchs to ascend? What will happen to Oz and Suriel?! Will we see Akura Fury again?!?
In getting ready for this awesome event, I’ve put together some super fast summaries of the first 6 books in the series.
I’ve got videos of the first 4 here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuN7eDVkpj71OSp48_YJQMrW3eTeyWqex
And I plan to make more videos before the release of Waybound
But I’m also going to copy/pasta the full text of the first 6 scripts here as comments. That’s Unsouled through Underlord! (Yes 6 - haven't had time to film books 5 and 6 just yet.)
These are my humble offerings, fellow Cradle fans. I hope my humorous approach to this endevor makes you laugh and helps you get excited for Waybound!
But I can also use your help!
The part that takes the longest in all this is writing the scripts. Shout out again to iluzrymage aka u/polypan-storyman who posted some great short summaries on here about a year ago and to Christine Sandquist who posted summaries on her website - I’ve used both of their summaries as convenient starting points for my summary videos, not to mention my own knowledge from my own reads.
Even with these though, it takes a while to get it all in the style I’m doing it.
I’ve got a good start on the next 3 - Uncrowned, Wintersteel, and Bloodline.
But I’ve got nothing for Reaper and Dreadgod.
So I’m calling on you, fellow cradle fans, to help me! I’d love an assist with at least these last 2 scripts. I know many of you have done multiple re-reads, particularly recently. Lend me your expertise and let’s create some recap summaries for those who need it before Waybound releases!

Audi I said as I took the stage Inside my bedroom covered in blue and grays I’ve seen you in the city as I walk along the street I’ve heard them laughing felt the stares looking my feet When I asked what’s the reason They said “It’s on tv”
They watched me from above dancing in my room And commented on my hair, the quality of my perfume They kept me up in bed talking all through the night They told me it’s in my head And lied about the bite
But I remember how it felt before I knew the words I believed in romance in the flying of the birds They sway from to and fro with delicate precision It’s only when they know they’re being watched That their cage becomes a prison

2023.05.30 23:08 mrspreto My husband doesn't like to share

Tl;Dr: Husband put veet in his shampoo cause his friend kept stealing it and now his friend's hair and beard is falling out.
Excuse my formatting and grammar cause I'm almost asleep here, but I had a good giggle at this.
My SO works in the States on contract. He's not a fan of sharing, but he will if you ask. Just don't use his stuff without asking (unless you're me lol).
He houseshares with a friend who also works for the same place. Said friend is going home soon and doesn't want to buy more shampoo and some other essentials, so he's started using my husband's.
The other day my husband asked him if he is using his shampoo cause it's almost finished and he bought it not too long ago. His friend said no. My husband said "Well it's just the two of us in the house, so it can only be you". Friend says "Oh but remember the land lady comes by once a week so she could maybe also take stuff". No, no she doesn't steal her tenants' shampoo. This lady never goes in the house without asking first - I know cause I've been there 2 years in a row and she always lets us know when she's dropping by and notifies us before she enters when we're not home. She's a gem. My husband said to him "Ok well then she's gonna get a surprise soon."
So my husband - fed up with his friend using his body wash, shampoo, toothpaste, tide pods, etc - decides to put veet in the shampoo. I don't condone this and said as much, but I also don't condone your housemate using literally everything (including all my coffee pods and not replacing them).
This morning he sees friend scratching his head and beard. He's pulling out chunks of hair. Friend says to husband he thinks he's really stressed cause his hair is falling out and it's bad. My husband looks at him and says "Welcome to your surprise, land lady." His buddy catches on after a minute and asks what he put in the shampoo. He said well you don't have to worry since you don't use my shampoo, remember? Friend immediately said "Well I may have accidentally used your shampoo last night so please tell me?"
Since I'm spineless I told my husband to come clean since the poor guy will have to shave his head now since his roots are already burned from the veet, but I admit I did have a good giggle for all the damn coffee pods I had to replace.

2023.05.30 23:08 Sammy-Lynx Long running shows tend to get too big for their bridges during their final seasons, especially drama and action shows.

When you're literally fighting some kind of God or experiencing the beginning of creation, it usually means you've gone too far, it's a cool concept and all but most long running drama's tend not to have the high stakes action scenes you'd expect from such a thing. Action shows usually pull it off much better but easily fall short nonetheless if they didn't start off fighting God's and such from the very beginning.
Some examples include: SVSmallville:with that entire Apacolypse and flying thing, like the show was supposed to be about a young Clark Kent becoming Superman, tf he doing going against Apacolypse already just because it's the shows ending? It didn't require such a high level threat antagonist to be a good ending, because it wasn't allowed to bring in the action sequences expected of such a enemy, imo it just ruins the ending (btw yess, I don't read comics much so if it's accurate to source material or whatever, I wouldn't know), don't get me wrong, I like drama and all but I don't think a show that's solely drama has enough leeway to make such high level antagonists work.
BOVBen 10 Omniverse:actually did this pretty well imo but the entire thing falls a little short because of the whole Ben 10,000 thing, it's like, you can't help but think about the fact 16yr Ben is experiencing the whole of creation and what the rest of his career could possibly hold in store for him and because of this, it's pretty easy to devise it's the literal end of the franchise (minus reboots ofc) when something like Ben 10 definitely should have had an open ending that leaves watchers fantasizing about his future adventures. I guess with all the time travel it kinda works but I feel like such a thing would have been better left with a Ben 10,000 series or something., I can admit this is more of a personal biased opinion I guess but I like to think a good amount of people would agree with me.

2023.05.30 23:08 sanenormalgirl2000 A teenage boy just sparked a lighter next to my face when he walked past me

Some f*cking teenage boy thought it would be funny to spark a lighter up to my face when he and his friend walked past me. I immediately turned around and yelled 'what the f*ck is your problem' and he just shouted 'shut the f*ck up' with an angry troglodyte voice. I was in shock and on the verge of tears but I just walked away with my heart pounding. I literally had to take a different route back home (I was just walking to the supermarket when this happened) because I was so scared I would bump into them again. I've had a really horrible week dealing with facial dysmorphia and reliving all my past trauma so the fact that this just happened to me feels like a cruel joke. There is no way this boy would have done this to an attractive girl. He felt comfortable almost burning my face/hair because he saw me as an ugly, insecure woman, therefore disposable and worthless. It feels like the universe is trying to punish me at this point.

2023.05.30 23:07 KenS7s Audi announces 2024 A6 and A7 virtual cockpit is standard

European models details below USA/Canada/Worldwide get their 2024 models in the fall
Audi is introducing a few minor updates to the Audi A6, S6, A7, and S7 for the 2024 model year.
All models will come with the Audi virtual cockpit as standard, in the form of a 12.3-inch screen behind the steering wheel. Full LED headlights are also now standard, as is the park assist function.
The new models have a revised front end, plus new wheel designs and colors.
include subtly revised styling, new wheel designs, and a few new standard features. These also apply to the S6 and S7 and the A6 Allroad, and we've already covered the 2024 updates to the highest-performance RS6 Avant and RS7
The A6 and A7's front grille and bumpers are revised, and there's greater variation between the standard treatments and the S Line package. New wheel designs for the European models include sizes ranging from 17 to 21 inches, but the current U.S. models come standard with 19-inch wheels so we might see slightly different offerings for our versions. The expanded color palette may also change when Audi releases U.S. specs for the 2024 models, which may not be until later this year.
Park assist is now standard, and there are different appearance packages including basic, advanced, and S Line. New interior trim options include additional wood trims and microfiber trim.
The A6s will be offered basic, advanced, and S line packages, while A7 owners will be able to chose between basic and S Line.
These trim packages are defined by their unique front and rear design elements. For starters, the basic trim’s grille is finished in matte black with a chrome frame. On the advanced line, the grille is finished in Dark Chrome, while the rear diffusor blades are painted Selenite silver. It also comes with sporty 18-inch wheels.
Meanwhile, the S-line’s singleframe grille has chrome inserts and the diffusor blade is painted Platinum Gray on the A6 and the redesigned side air intakes come with matte black and platinum gray inserts (on the A7 they’re finished in chrome). It also gets widened side sills, 19-inch wheels, and sportier suspension.

2023.05.30 23:07 Priviel1 Looking for courses in Japan/korea that would be interesting

Interesting courses to take in Japan/Korea/China
Hello everyone I'm a professional private chef.
My boss want to offer me a cooking course to take this winter (max 5weeks)
I think what I'm lacking the most is trying other people's food. I didn't really have the time and money to try restaurants when I was younger and now I'm working alone so it's hard to get away from my own style.
I have a south European style with a bit of Asian since my boss really likes it but I never went to any country in Asia so it feels like something is missing.
I was thinking about doing the : Tokyo sushi academy 5 weeks course in Japan.
The course look pretty good and during my free time I will be able to try a lot of restaurants and style.
What do you guys think does it sounds like a good learning experience or would you recommend something else?
Thank you for your guidance.

2023.05.30 23:07 CirillaElenRiannon Solo player build 1v1 and PvE (dungeons)

Hello, Lately my mood is going down because Im getting dived every single dungeon i try to do (i just lost a t7.1 800k worth loadout because 1 guy baited me into a 1v1 inside my t8.1 map but then 2 others joined and killed me and later 2 more loadout 250k each same thing)
I want to know what's the strongest/ most versatile build for 1v1 and fast PvE with mastery 100 and spec around 50
I currently have cursed swords and nature mastery to 100 (leather and cloth stuff 100 as well), dual swords 1h cursed great nature to 70/80 spec (same for torch, shield, hunter hood, mage cowl, cleric/mage robe, mercenary/hellion) 100 spec soldier boots
I usually run t8/8.1 dungeons using 1h curse but it seems so hard to clear them (even with 1150 GS) and when I get dived i mostly lose
I've been practicing with duals and cursed into corrupted but I lost almost every fight
I try to wait for big DMG and pop reflect or purge their buffs but idk I get wrecked so easily
Is there any build that is easy to execute and make u really strong in 1v1 / fast clear dungeons with just 100 mastery ?
Im willing to fame farm for the spec but honestly I don't understand how much difference there is between a 70 spec and a 100 spec

2023.05.30 23:06 Independent_Ad_3915 What would I be?

Ok so I'm thought I was a straigh man. But now I realize serious attraction towards Trans man (who still have there original genitalia). But I was love the way they look, short hair, masculine clothing, flat chest. I really vibe with them and connect a lot better then with a lot for women I'd know.
Would like to get some input on this. Thanks

2023.05.30 23:06 Downtown_Detail2707 Bridal Makeup Tips?

TLDR: Looking for bridal makeup tips for an outdoor wedding. I have tan complexion, hazel eyes, light brown hair and dry skin.
My wedding is this summer, and I'm doing my own makeup. I'd say I'm pretty good at doing my makeup, but I also know that this is an elevated look! I know I don't want to get my makeup professionally done, because anytime I have I haven't felt confident and I haven't felt like myself.
To give some insight, I'm half-Hispanic so I have a tanner complexion. I'm lighter skinned, but people say I look "sunkissed." I also have hazel eyes and light brown hair. My skin is also pretty dry, and I don't really have any blemishes, so I tend to go for a more lightweight, dewy look.
The wedding is outside and it will probably be around 80 °F, I don't sweat much or get oily but this is still a consideration considering I'll be in a wedding dress.
I'm looking for advice on a few things. First, I'm not sure what colors to do for my eyeshadow to make my eyes pop. I'm also wondering what color blush would look best with the features I've described. And I'm looking for a good foundation recommendation, I currently use Smashbox Halo but this isn't full-coverage.
Also just any other general tips for wedding makeup would be amazing, since I've never done this type of look before!
I'm planning on doing a "trial run" soon, so any and all advice would be appreciated! I've looked on YouTube and Pinterest, but I haven't quite found what I'm looking for.
