2023.06.03 23:09 Playful-Mess-8680 32 [M4F] cst/Canada/anywhere - Nerdy and flirty
I've been lonely lately and missed having someone that I can game with and shoot the shit with throughout the night. I love just hanging out on discord and playing or talking about our day. Some of my all time games are stardew valley, rimworld, apex, TFT, and don't starve. As long as it's multiplayer though I'm down to play anything!
Now I am also looking for a girl that doesn't mind some flirting. I figure I'd be upfront about so there aren't any confusions. I'd want us to feel comfortable roasting each other one sec and flirty the next.
A little about me. I work at a hospital so my schedule can be all over the place sometimes. In my space time I love to watch nba, play games, binge watch tv. I love listening to songs from the 90s and 2000s but l can listen to almost any genre. Oh and I love making really bad jokes or puns. Talk to me long enough and I'll make you eyeroll for sure Also age and location don't really matter to me. So if you're interested drop me a message

2023.06.03 22:24 SwissCheese4Collagen The Nostrils McBeardsley Power Hour: Guess What We Named Actually Gunner? Our new baby's name is...
| ***Second attempt, technical difficulties, thanks for your patience*** Happy Fri-Yay, Snarkers, not to be a outdone with Ra!s arrival video earlier today here comes OfNostrils, who has decided to help out in Operation Look At Our Crotch Fruit Instead of The DoCuMeNtaRy. It seems she only misses a Friday when I give her a heads up, I’m just kidding folks. Anyhow, she decided to make Actually Gunner’s arrival vlog stretch into three parts. She still hasn’t updated the intro Actually Gunner Still James to be added, but she has annoyingly, left the birth audio trailing over the intro music theme. It looks like JimBlessa’s template of 4 vlogisodes with Plant 2 but the actual birth week vlog with the recycled footage didn’t do what she thought it would. Which part is she worried about? Space? Money? Time? Maybe we should call them Oblivious and OfOblivious OfNostrils climbs into the passenger seat of the car and does not put on a seatbelt. OfNostrils does have a seatbelt on but he looks over with his serial killer grinch grin as they drive past the hospital entrance. OfNostrils says that she is excited for freedom but exhausted. I feel like I’m just tired of her stating the obvious every 35 seconds at this point. She’s back to stating that so surreal and she can’t believe that they have a little baby in the back of the car. Nostrils says that it didn’t seem like she was pregnant until a week ago because checks notes they did regular stuff up until she had the baby. So were the 5 to 7 vlogisodes where Nostrils had to give her stomach shots just a fever dream, a mass hallucination or what? Is it normal for them high risk baby doctor appointments? Is it normal for her to go to the obstetrician multiple times a year? If these are there “normal winter activities” I have questions. I mean yes besides the fact that they were giving her shots in her stomach and are going to a doctor and to a specialist, they basically ignored the fact that she was pregnant for 8 ½ months like she was 17 and her high school sweetheart knocked her up. But even the depths of their delusion aren’t enough to keep a newborn from actually appearing in the car seat behind you. OfNostrils states that it is so weird they have three kids now, “what are we doing, we’ve got 3 kids”. Just wait a year and ask Kath! what to do. She’ll know. ....that's not how any of this works. Anyways, OfNostrils has to call to let J16 know they’re on the way back to take control of her temporary buddy team. Before they do that though OfNostrils proves she has zero idea how any of this works she asks Nostrils if they should tell them now meaning us, the viewers. This was filmed on the way home from the hospital with Actually Gunner, which means this footage is from roughly 2 weeks ago. I think she thinks it’s Facebook live. I should stop joking about things like wanting to see what names Actually Gunner beat, because I snark and OfNostrils posts. I kid, I kid. OfNostrils screws her face up to tell us the name, and then doesn’t. I mean we already know that it’s Actually Gunner Still James because she said so on Instagram like literally 2 weeks ago. I guess this tells us how badly TLC messed with the timelines back when she was a kid. I should stop joking about things like wanting to see what names Actually Gunner beat, because I snark and OfNostrils posts and now we get a little explanation into the name. Apparently, it wasn’t on their list at all so I guess just fuck any of us who may have had a line on this one of the sports apps. I’m kidding, I’m just tired of seeing the betting app commercials. It looks like Nostrils needs to give his wife a refresher on the difference between Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and cable TV, because she wants us to “put our guesses in”. What do I win if I guess right? Thank God I’m not Rumple-fucking-stiltskin otherwise she would owe me Giddy-Up unless Austina volunteered as tribute. But anyways, they looked up a name online, which I’m betting was Gunner and picked it because none of the rest of them fit whenever they were laying on the bed and holding him. Nostrils added that part as they turned onto another road, put at least he was checking on-coming traffic. OfNostrils takes back the fact that she said she would tell YouTube viewers first and says instead that when they tell Nostrils: The Next Generation a.k.a. J16s practice buddy group, though tell everybody. Except, she told everybody on Instagram like that day? I don’t think she knows what she’s doing at this point. That beard ages the hell out of Nostrils Nostrils: The Next Generation swarm out to meet their new member, meaning the footage of them sitting then running to the door was edited or staged. As they drive up the driveway, Nostrils begins singing “taken the little man home”, but the captions have it as “old man home”. He also says “welcome home baby brother”, as OfNostrils wonders how Giddy-Up and Austina will react. Well I mean did you guys tell them Actually Gunner will be coming home from the hospital? I don’t think don’t have a problem with it, they're probably more prepared than you two are. I'd bet Austina would have had the bag packed if it had come down to it. IIRC, Austina practically ripped Actually Gunner out of Nostrils’ arms the second her butt hit the hospital bed, and Giddy-Up seemed pleased. “Aunt Johanna” is going to come out and take the camera from OfNostrils. Austina and Giddy-Up come out to the car and promptly lose their shit that Actually Gunner is home. Perm ends up gathering everybody back inside so J16 can shoot the footage we saw last week of Austina pushing the Doona into the house. They get Austina set up in the chair, use a pillow to prop up Actually Gunner and get to filming the name reveal. Giddy-Up asks why his eyes are closed, OfNostrils says it’s because the baby is sleepy. As OfNostrils tells her daughter that the newborn "wanted to" sit on Austina's lap and also that her new toys were from the newborn, Actually Gunner proves he has impeccable timing and farts on Austina’s lap, showing how much of that he believes. Austina kisses her newly established buddy team member on the forehead and waits to hear what his name is. Giddy-Up is with us and thinks it’s a horrible name, rage quits to his room and is brought back out to the living room by his mother. Of nostrils was laughing about the fact that Giddy-Up was mad that they did this to his little brother. I mean Gunner James doesn’t even make cool nickname letters like GJ is...eeww. At least Edwin would’ve been EJ. Actually Gunnar gets comfy and lets it all out once he's home. Giddy-Up was still holding out for Mr. Joel. What did they expect? They kept asking Giddy-Up what he wanted to name the baby, then ignored it. Of course he's a little salty. 20 bucks says Giddy-Up ends up calling Actually Gunner \"Buddy\" or \"Bubby/Bubba\". After Giddy-Up gets hauled back out to the living room, like SiAhh when they announced Perm was pregnant with Josie or Jubilee, OfNostrils sits him down and explains that he can call the baby a different nickname if he wants. In swoops Nostrils with Actually Gunner, to say that it if people said Gideon was a bad name then Giddy-Up wouldn’t like it so he should be more kind. OfNostrils, to her credit, soothes her son and asked him about his new sandals. Giddy-Up cheers up, but Nostrils isn’t done with him yet. Nostrils makes it a point to say that Actually Gunner is Giddy-Up’s brother, like Austina is his sister and that Giddy-Up needs say “I love you baby brother”. What kind of new age bullshit is this? Giddy-Up has no problem with his brother, he just doesn’t like the backwater redneck name you picked out for him. Hell, I might even go so far as to say that Giddy-Up and Austina love that kid more than their parents do. Austina doesn’t seem to trust them with him, and Giddy-Up is actually worried about this kid down the road. Nostrils proves he was the one who was upset Giddy-Up doesn't like the name Gunner. Actually Gunner could care less. Pushes son to not be girly, wonders why he won't pick up a baby like the daughter who was given a baby doll at birth to carry around. Goes overboard force-coaching his son to connect to a baby that has been asleep the entire day. Fundies, amiright? Giddy-Up gets a hug from OfNostrils, not-tent. Austina says the baby is “small cute”, more non-tent. OfNostrils asks if the baby is taking a “Paci”, the non-tent continues. Austina pops in to remind us that it was her paci at one point but she’s a big girl now was going to start potty training. She seems super excited about it which is good because usually having a new baby in the house can cause regressions, but Austina's excitement might counteract that pretty well. OfNostrils goes to take her shower and we should finally have new footage from this point on the first half has been a mix of behind-the-scenes of previous footage and just filling in the blanks. They will send them home and update the labs later, they hope. No sooner does OfNostrils get settled in for her shower, the screen says “later” and they’re back at the hospital. Actually Gunner has some jaundice and needs to get labs done. They say he will be okay and we end up back at the McBeardsley cabin. The first thing is Nostrils has Giddy-Up in a swaddle that both he and Austina when they were little. Giddy-Up is done playing and is admonished by his mother to use his words. He says “please don’t”,as Austina jumps in. There is a lot of laughing and giggling as Actually Gunner sleeps away in J18’s arms on the other side of the living room. I is Austina’s turn to pretend to be a baby but not before Nostrils proclaims that the wrap stinks. OfNostrils explains that this is because it was in the storage box. I would hope that they're running it through the wash before they start using it for Actually Gunner. OfNostrils heads down the hallway towards where the children are making plenty of noise and smiles as she says it has rained all day and so the kids have been cooped up all day. Both kids are appropriately clothed covered up in beige sweatsuits, I blame Aunt J18. Perm is also there to help with the new baby, no wonder she got to Ra!s birth so late… Anyways, but OfNostrils feels great postpartum and has to keep reminding herself to sit down. But Perm and the J’Buddy Team goes home tomorrow and it will be their first full day with no help. They're having family come over and the weather is nice so it should be good. Whatever floats their boat. Gotta let Actually Gunner soak up his one week is the newest grand baby I guess. She stops to show us her “messy room”, but really the bed isn’t made and there’s a bassinet right next to it. Here we go with the “unreasonable expectations” and fake relatability shtick. “Life with baby” is chirped right on cue. She shows off her lack of bump, then says postpartum three times while looking in the full-length mirror. Did someone tell her that saying that would melt off the baby weight like a magic mirror, or is it just her new favorite word? She almost called him \"Gun-Gun\", I swear. Actually Gunner got clued in by Austina about the camera and stays asleep, while Giddy-Up traps Nostrils in his La-Z-Boy. LiFe WiTh BaBy...tee hee hee Guest Room is Fundie Speak for TV Room. Anyways as she leaves her room, the TV room has Perm or Nostrils’ hunting show on, but Nostrils is putting the kids to bed. OfNostrils walks past Austina being swaddled while laughing, to where Giddy-Up is in his bed with his thumb in his mouth. OfNostrils scolds him, tells him his brother needs him to be a good example for him. Giddy-Up is probably thinking his baby brother sleeps too much to be able to pay attention. OfNostrils turns around to see Nostrils has successfully swaddled Austina and tells her she looks like “Baby Gunner”. This reminds OfNostrils that she has more non-tent to get. She suddenly remembers to ask if Giddy-Up said good night to his new baby brother. Giddy-Up jumps up, because No, they didn't as Nostrils lets Austina out of her swaddle and they run in to kiss the sleeping baby in their 14-year-old aunt’s arms. The captions do Actually Gunner when they change his name to “Connor”. Austina scampers off back to the bedroom, but Giddy-Up has to tell the Internet that he does in fact love his newborn baby brother who he has known for roughly a day. Giddy-Up seems tired, like he wants to go to bed. But wait, there’s more. Nostrils has come out to tell Giddy-Up that when Actually Gunner gets bigger, they will share a room. Giddy-Up seems okay with this news, until he learns that Austina will get her own room, to which he replies “and me too”. Maybe he is starting to wish he had another little sister so he could have his own room. Nostrils tells him to take a sip of water as OfNostrils tells him to go get in bed. Giddy-Up gives Nostrils a smack on the hind end as they walk down the hallway, and then Giddy-Up tells his dad they can play Superman. Nostrils says “what!?”, and now I wish I was back on the playground 30 years ago because I could have used that. The word Nostrils as a name goes really well in the “____-says-what” trick. The 90s were simpler time. Anyhoo, Austina is jumping on Giddy-Up’s bed, but Nostrils brings in the water bottle and does the toddler version of last call. Austina is ordered to her own bed where she asks to be wrapped up like a taco, but on the ground. Her negotiation is denied and she must stay in bed. OfNostrils comes over with the camera to tell Austina good night. Austina sees the camera and proceeds to crawl under her pillow. OfNostrils says “I love you. I will see you in the morning. Are you hiding?” Yeah, yeah she’s hiding. She didn’t have the camera in her face when you were at the hospital. Nostrils:The Next Generation, and Tru! learned something while their mothers were in labor and that was, except for an occasional FaceTime, their grandparents/aunts/whoever interacted with them in person didn’t constantly film them for content. To further prove my point, OfNostrils sticks the camera right up in on Nostrils hugging Giddy-Up. For someone so religious absolutely nothing is sacred to her is it? Everyone wants to play being a baby, but only Giddy-Up gets scolded for his usual soothing method of sucking his thumb. Both McBeardsleys are leaning heavily on Actually Gunner to influence their kids' behavior Anything would have been better than Gunner and the captions know it too. Giddy-Up seems to have a very teammate relationship with Nostrils. Austina does Last Call \"Mom, did Lolly every teach you the word \"P-R-I-V-A-C-Y\"? No? Greaaaat\" The McBeardsley’s turn off the light and leave the kids bedroom, patting themselves on the back that their children love their new and how well they reacted to him. Well yeah everybody also took care of the baby so the McBeardsleys didn’t have any real change to their schedule, except company. Give it two weeks, when Actually Gunner needs fed and Giddy-Up throws a tantrum because Austina wants to read the book he has. They’re patting themselves on the back after successful 36 hours with two-three additional adult helpers. J18 counts as an adult here even though she just sat and held Actually Gunner like a sentient rocking chair. Nostrils does give her a shout out for helping, as OfNostrils closes window blinds and says they’re getting ready for bed. They say they love being a family of five, but we all know that will only last until the Lord tells them they will love being a family of six better. Perm fell for that one, I wonder how many of her children will. Alright folks there we have it, Rimmy J's PR blitz It is through its first day, I wonder if J'Obnoxious James will have more of his European stuff to post, you know pay a skosh of rent on the Tontitown TreeHouse for the quarter. I suppose next week's non-tent from the Nostrils McBeardsleys will be when everybody came over to meet Actually Gunner Still James. As always, have a good day and a better tomorrow! submitted by SwissCheese4Collagen to SnarkyRecapsBySwiss [link] [comments] |

It's the Quit-A-Versary! Ask her anything. No really, ask her. Yawn. I watched it so you don't have to.
She hated her job. She's really a social person. She worked out her contract. She likes her flexible YT schedule. She hated her job.
I can see her doing her 10 year Quit-A-Versary talking about back when she used to be a TV......

2023.06.03 21:22 OhOkay______________ How do I know if this company is an MLM?
How do I know if this company is legit?
So I’ve (27F) been applying for jobs and landed an interview last Thursday (2 days ago) and it went well. I was accepted into the 2nd and 3rd interviews. The interview was schedule for Friday morning, they went great and I was offered the job. here are the red flags.
- There are 4 positions within the company: Entry level, account assistant, account manager, then branch manager. That’s it.
- I met with an Account Assistant and soon learned that we would have to conduct the interview off-site. He told me we would walk to Starbucks to do the interview. I passed Starbucks on the way to the office and I wouldn’t consider it an appropriate walking distance for an interview? We would have had to use pedestrian crosswalk to cross the intersection and everything. I was wearing heels.. they weren’t high but still lol. Anyways…on the way there we were literally passing McDonald’s (literally 1 minute walk away) and he said “actually let’s go in McDonald’s” and I thought “Thank God” lol
- I HAD to ask his age cause there was no way he was a day over 20.. the guy is 18. Not to mention you don’t need a degree for this job
- Members of the team have quickly been promoted (with weeks and months). The 3rd person I interviewed with was an account manager. She has been promoted recently to start her position as branch manager in an office revelry built. She confided in me that she has only been with the company for 4 months. In this position, she will be making 30k A WEEK…
- No degree needed for this job. I have my bachelors degree and your telling me if I work hard enough for 4-6 months, I can make 30K … A WEEK.
- No drug test required.
- Why isn’t the company name the same as the name on the website?
- No degree required
- No corporate address? I asked if there was a corporate building and was told it was the building I drove to on Thursday.
- There are no other offices throughout Ohio with this company name
- I still haven’t received my background check initiation email
- No degree required.
- I looked some of the people I met with and one of them has a mugshot for drug trafficking
I know this is a scam. Gotta be. Ain’t no way. I just had to write about it. Let me know what y’all think tho

2023.06.03 21:03 tryingtostop12 Props to the City
The city gets a lot of due crap, but watching the Memorial on tv and they just did a drone shot going down the Scioto downtown. It looked completely beautiful. I’m guessing a lot of people not familiar with Columbus watching on tv were surprised just how pretty it is. Just wanted to give the city and Recs and Parks their credit. Love this city.

2023.06.03 20:43 Roxxywuff New Installation Hell. 3 separate techs, going on a week and a half with no resolution.
Previous to my move to a new location in Troy, Ohio, A spectrum rep that was orchestrating installs for the new subdivision had promised and doubled down that everything would be ready upon arrival.
I have been in the new location for over a week, had three separate technicians on location and spent a half dozen hours on the phone with customer service. Each technician has showed up to the location informing me there was nothing they can do because it was billed as a coax install instead of a fiber- this is very confusing to me because after the first technician the subsequent appointments were explicitly billed as fiber installs and was supposed to be dispatched specifically to a fiber technician.
My third technician just left and I cannot get an escalation to expedite my issue. I now have a fourth technician scheduled 3 days from now on the 6th and this feels entirely unacceptable as the workload for my area is relatively low.
Posting here for advice and assistance! Thanks.

2023.06.03 20:36 ShingekiTitan Do u guys recommend moving to columbus
Do you guys recommend moving to Columbus Ohio from NJ
My info 1. Spouse - stay at home mom for now and might find a job later for may be 100-150k 2. One 3month old daughter and 2 year old mini aussie dog 3. Planning for 1 more kid after 3-4 years. 4. Income - 300k from software job and no other income 5. NW - 200k (non retirement) and 200k retirement 6. H1-B for life as I am Indian and will stay in USA till kicked out, I will wait for my 3 month old US citizen daughter to grow up and sponser me. 7. No property in USA but I got some ancestral non income generating homes in India.
Probs with NJ I don't want to pay like 700k or 800k for a home which I am don't like or barely like and 6.5-7 % interest for 30 years(may be less rate in future) and high property taxes to go to public schools while I want private schools (for political reasons and my preference on schools). NJ New homes is only for families with close to a million dollars in bank for a cash offer or for families earning 500k+ yearly income to easily afford 160k down payment with good backup cash and 5-8k monthly payment on property which I am neither. I think I can only do either a small, old, ugly or far away home in NJ for 600k or less which I don't want.
Pros of Columbus I can get a big good looking home for less amount with low property taxes. The home will look better than any other friend's home I had seen in NJ with similar income. Decent private schools for 8-15k per year. (Just need to keep my remote job and future job changes might be hard, also social life needs to be restarted).
Would Christian private schools in Columbus take non christians ?, We are atheists and our family are Hindus.
Requirements
- City with good safety where my wife/daughter can walk at night
- City where I can afford private schools for 10-15k per year
- City with somewhat less state income tax and less property tax
- City where I can buy a big home 2k -3k square feet with 4-5 bedroom and 3 bathrooms and backyard for my dog to play for a total price of 600k or less, preferably 400-500k.
- I love the cold NJ/NY weather, my favorite outside is 50-60f (I can live with 40f but hard to tolerate 70f + ) and I can't stand the heat as I came from super hot Indian city.
- I would like free space of 0.5 -2 acres around but not a requirement
- I would like a single floor home but that's mostly in Texas like area right. So I think I can live with two stories. (Updated)
- I work in software but permanent remote job. If there are some software in person jobs in the city it would be good as I can get the in person job if I am fired from remote job.
- I mostly stay at home but I want some accessibility for music classes, self defense classes, gym, warehouse clubs,

“Book Club The Next Chapter” Streaming or in Theaters?
There’s something special about gathering around with friends to discuss a good book. Whether it’s dissecting the characters or debating the plot, it’s a great way to spend an evening. But what if your book club decided to take the next step and discuss a book that’s currently streaming or in theaters? There are a few things to consider before taking this dive. First, is the book still relevant? If it’s a classic novel that’s been adapted to the big screen, then there’s a good chance that the film is still relevant. However, if the book is a more contemporary release, the film may not be as widely-
seen. Second, how well do the film and book compare? In some cases, the film can be a completely different experience from the book. This is often the case with adaptations of best-selling novels, where the film may leave out important plot points or characters in order to condense the story. If this is the case, it may be difficult to have a meaningful discussion about the film. Finally, is there a way to watch the film together? If not, is everyone willing to watch it on their own time? If you’re planning to discuss a film that’s still in theaters, you’ll need to make sure that everyone is able to see it. And if you’re planning to discuss a film that’s streaming, you’ll need to make sure that everyone has access to the streaming service. Taking all of these things into consideration, there’s no right or wrong answer as to whether your book club should discuss a book that’s streaming or in theaters. It’s entirely up to you and your group to decide what you want to do.
“Book Club The Next Chapter” Be Available For Streaming?
Book Club The Next Chapter was one of the first book clubs to be available for streaming. The concept was simple – members would meet online to discuss a book, and then share their thoughts and opinions. It was a great way to connect with other book lovers, and to keep up with the latest releases. Now, with the popularity of streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, it seems like everything is available for streaming. So, is Book Club The Next Chapter still relevant? There are a few things to consider when evaluating whether or not streaming book clubs are a good idea. First, there is the issue of time commitment. It can be difficult to commit to watching a show or movie when you have other obligations, like work or family. With a book club, you can usually read at your own pace and then meet up with the group when it’s convenient for you.
Another factor to consider is cost. Most streaming services require a monthly subscription fee. While some book clubs may have a membership fee, it is usually much lower than the cost of a streaming service. Additionally, many book clubs have options to borrow books from the library, which can save you even more money. Finally, it’s important to think about the quality of the content. When you watch a show or movie on a streaming service, you generally know what you’re going to get. But with a book club, the book selection can be more hit or miss. Sometimes, the book will be great and you’ll have a lot to discuss. Other times, you might not be as impressed and you might not have much to say. So, is Book Club The Next Chapter still relevant in the age of streaming? It depends on your personal preferences. If you’re looking for an easy way to connect with other book lovers and to stay up-to-date on the latest releases, then a book club might be a good option for you. But if you’re looking for a service that offers a more reliable quality of content, then you might want to stick with a streaming service.

2023.06.03 20:07 OhOkay______________ How do I know if this company is legit?

2023.06.03 20:03 Mission-Raccoon9432 Character Study: The Full Truth about Gorou Amamiya or Aqua Hoshino feat. DVD, 15-Year Lie Movie, the Culprit . PART V
https://preview.redd.it/ifbb5j3m4u3b1.png?width=1280&format=png&auto=webp&s=9244cad71446aec443e9035826fe39a0b88f7024 Welcome to PART V of our indepth Gorou Amamiya slash Aqua Hoshino character study slash theory slash plot preditction slash literally my obsession :)To start off we'll quickly recap the content of the last 4 parts. If you are new here I highly suggest to read into PART I's introduction as it tells you everything we want to archive with this study series.
We are already at the end of this journy, as we can - now after 4 parts of meaningful and important build up - finally look at Aqua's current actions in an entirely new challenging perspective. It is still my conviction that if we don't appreciate Aqua's struggle on it's full scale we won't fully grasp the Cathasis that follows his tragedy, which - under the impression that Aka is cooking some really good stuff - would be a real shame. Aqua is the most active plot-shaping protagonist, understanding the depthness of his actions is almost identical to understand the actual plot itself. For that matter as expressed in PART I I hope this series might enhance some people's future chapter reading experience and transform hostility towards Aqua into tragic compassion.
PART I - Who is Gorou Amamiya?
- Why is he obsessed over the Idol Ai Hoshino?
- Gorou's longing for love
- Gorou's suppressed trauma passed down to Aqua
- Why doesn't he warn her about the culprit?
- What's the difference between his and Ruby's relation to Ai?
- What exactly is the meaning of Ai's death to Gorou?
- Is he really guilty?
PART II - Why does he feel guilty?
- The guilt-complex actually a trauma of Gorou?
- Why is Gorou not guilty?
- Gorou's mother vs. Ai
- Gorou's Grandfather and his influence on Gorou's trauma
- Aqua's delusion as consequence of Gorou's guilt-complex
- The Crow Girl as a therapist and guide
- Self-realization vs. indoctrination
PART III - Intermezzo - - Exploration of symbols and meanings at the beginning of the story
- The Sanatorium and the Cure for Entertainment and the Heroe's Journey
- A sick and poisened entertainment industry
- What is the connection between Gorou, Sarina and Ai on that symbolic level?
- Who is the main antagonist to the Goddess of Entertainment?
- Ai's transformation from Venus to Maria
- Ai's love, Ai's legacy and Ai's wish
PART IV - Ai's wish in full detail
- Ai's and Gotanda's vision
- Ruby's future as an Idol Aqua's as an actor
- Aqua's acting skill
- Aqua's "Director's Eye" genius
- What is Aqua's fundamental misunderstanding?
PART V We will analyze his manipulations beginning from C95 until C119 as an ongoing efford to prepare his role as the movie's culprit. Everything Aqua does serves this end. It's what I called in last episode his "Director's Eye" that sets the stage to force a certain outcome with this movie which will let Hikaru Kamiki suffer and at the same time destroy Aqua too. In this regard the last episode's analysis of his TV-Series role in "I'll want it sweet today" turns out to almost be a blueprint for what is actually happening right now: Aqua generates content, directs the emotions and feeling of all actors who take part in the movie to get them as complice to the story Aqua himself wants to tell as possible. He envisioned "intent that can't be put into words" yes, Aqua's intent, since we found out with undeniable certainty that his story does not reflect Ai's true wish at all. We are heading into disaster.
In this essay we also kinda come back to our roots and core strength of this study overall:
Psychology, a bit of ethics and philosophy too.
HIS NAME IS * After a rather boring and stagnate interum period for Aqua during which he thought his revenge is over he gets redpilled by Ichigo. As it turns out his story is
chronologically impossible. Ai's murderer is still alive. After his awakening in the rain we essentially have a significant timeskip until Akane's red carpet event. During this timeskip Aqua installed a GPS tracker on her.
As you recall in their little showdown in which Aqua told her to back the f up he told her that he wired her sometime after his love for her ended. When he learned how ridiculous his blind believe in Taiki's story was, he understood that a sharp mind like Akane for sure wasn't fooled at all. She knew about the fundamental flaw in Aqua's belief but wouldn't tell him for selfish reasons: Out of protection as she puts it and out of desire for Aqua to stabilize so he can focus on her instead of his revenge. Aqua felt betrayed and manipulated.
However he concludes that in the improbable case in which she finds something out she would probably go about it behind his back. To keep track with her he installed the device. It wasn't expected to be fruitful but the chance was still there. And since I don't believe that the events just all followed one after another - this would be too much of weird coincidences - I proposed that there was a significant timeskip between him installing the tracker on her and Akane's first contact with Hikaru's white roses.
Since this whole deal between Aqua and Akane had led to some confusion in the community I just wanted to give my personal take on how it went down the most coherent and logical way and therefore explain in advance how - in contrast to what will follow - this incident was not directly planned but just anticipated or hoped for by Aqua. However in the next paragraphs we will look into his personal involvement as prep for the movie.
https://preview.redd.it/2pcv45k4ps3b1.jpg?width=1765&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=235c371130d7f515927302e2b88a27cb3da884cf Additionally the separation from Akane is important to highlight his conviction. This is the first time we see his awakened two black starry eyes, so this scene serves as a warning signal: Shit is about to go down. "I can't go back anymore. I have no choice but to take this road" - it's basically the premonition that from now on there are absoluty no more compromises in terms of his own destruction. Well, we will later see how the helping and selfless ambivalence of Gorou's soul will have a saying in that too.
But what can we overall expect? Is there anything to grasp? Well, yes! Lets look at Ruby for that matter. Maybe her arc during Aqua's hiatus literally served to insert the capability of a double starry black eyes. We've learned how ruthless Ruby was with Her unprecendented fast rise as both an idol but also as the main driving force in that cosplay-scandal to sneak to the top had the function to educate us that people with those eyes are highly creative and effective in such dirty games.
Under this light it becomes tangible to which extent Aqua is capable to plot. Aqua - a guy whose intellect, dead serious conviction and amount of information versus Ruby's is unquestionable superior.
THE GREAT PLAN
"The curtain for the final scene has already risen. I can't go back now that ...the Article about Ai was been published" (Aqua to Ichigo after Ai's secret got exposed)
We have to look at the plot backwards because what we as the reader might know right now as of C119 was essentially known to Aqua himself right from the start, since he is 15 years old.... Thus the information gap that we had back then when for the first time experiencing the Chapters after his awakening are highly deceptive while at the same time when we reflect them with the knowledge we have now they are incredibly coherent and any commentary Aqua does follows a tight schedule of his great plan and makes perfect sense.
Now of course we have to talk about
Aqua's DVD. We know that Aqua received it by age 15 and it probably contains in one way or another following infos:
- Aqua receives this DVD in case Ai doesnt live anymore
- She worked on a documentary with Gotanda. Gotanda holds video files in his possesion that reveal her backstory and true self and while this real self is in total opposition to her public perception (and the perception her children share for that matter too) she wants it to be made public when they turn 15 - essentially when they are old enough to handle the truth -> "15-Year Lie".
- In the case something happened to her and the documentary wasn't released she wants them to release it / release it in form of a movie perhaps.
- Well of course the most obvious info that she wants their existence as Ai's kids be exposed to the public
I believe that the documentary/movie is content of Aqua's DVD because Gontanda used it in his dialog with Ruby as a sufficient reason that Aqua is not to blame but ultimately also not Gotanda for that matter. Essentially the DVD had to cover her wish to release the files too and not just the secret about her kids otherwise Ruby woud literally flip out about their plans to make a movie. He in fact was actually suprised that Ruby is not involved yet. Heckin' siscon!
Essentially with Aqua's DVD Ai passed down her legacy to Aqua. He is from there on entitled to speak with Gotanda about that, as he is aware of his involvement with Ai to produce such documentary. I can't say if he watched those recordings or read the script behind Gotanda's back while working at his place but at least he definitely knew these exist and that Gotanda promised her to propose a movie if her secret about her kids gets exposed. However Aqua had no intention to progress this yet. When he turned 15 he was already for 10 years working out his own plans regarding his biological father. So when he got that DVD he already was preoccupied by both his trauma and the legitimation of following through his own plan.
He postponed her wish to release her truth until he got his father's identity figured out.
The fact that he ignored the content of his DVD during his "hiatus" when he thought his father is dead goes to show how self absorbed he is about this whole thing. But at the same time this is absolutely coherent with the underlaying psyche that predispostions Aqua's mind and was inherited from Gorou, because the core misunderstanding that evolves around her death scene is that Gorou - instead of realizing the truthfull reenactment of his mother's unconditonal love - found himself guilty of his mother's death when she gave birth to him and thus perceived the reenacted wonder as a violent reenacted curse, instead self-realiztation and salvation from his guilt-complex, he perceived the "final scene" as a reason to trigger the most self-destructing form of his trauma.
There is actually also a common theme here and that's his inability at some point to stay
chronolically coherent inside his deluted belief system. We witnessed it for the first time after his mental abusement through the Tokyo Blade stage play where his exhausted mind after a month of hardship was released by that far too easy to refute proclamation of his father's death. At this point he was mentally so drained that he accepted this story -
he accepted it because it fitted his own state of mind at that time the best. Now in regard to Ai's wish its a similar phenomenom overall. Because in the deduction of her true wish or "intetion of the author" (which we figured out in the last PART should actually be Aqua's core strength hence the "Director's Eye") Aqua should have to take the murder itself out of the equation of analysis. Ai didn't anticipated to die in that way and most directly in her last words she did'nt anticipate for Aqua to die through his revenge plot. The message and legacy she passed down on the DVD
before she died and the spirit that drove her to record that documentary with Gotanda
before she died reflect her true wish in her last intimate words towards her kids
when she died. But Aqua's deluted absorbtion by revenge on himself through his guilt-complex sets her murder as the fundamental premise to deduce her true wish, while her true wish was formulated without even thinking about her murder as some token of it. Aqua's understanding of her true wish is in this sense again chronologically impossible to be true,
because it again fitted his own state of mind at this time. When Ai's secret was exposed however Aqua immediately contacted Gotanda and showed him the content of his DVD. This also explains why Gontanda could mention the DVD in front of Ruby. Aqua basically came on "fai" terms with Gontanda, explained to him that he knows the whole time etc. With that Aqua maneuvered himself into the script writing, which is basically his intention overall. His "Director's Eye" kicks here in. Since he thinks only he understands Ai's true wish he has to rework Gontanda's script as fits his own vision. I think the fact that he was actually present at the real "
final scene" when the culprit killed Ai gave him leverage to persuade Gotanda to turn the movie into an actual tragedy and not a documentary. In fact it was Aqua who includes the final scene and probably argues that this final scene is literally the essential content to fulfill Ai's wish. So again we see his delution as mentioned the paragraph before. Thus he proposed to rewrite the script and add the final scene, and maybe even a
backstory for the culprit. ( maybe even Hikaru's backstory that only Aqua and Akane know about, thus Akane understands Aqua plan? Remember that Akane would casually drop the info during her research that when you know a name of a person you can find out his whole existence. I think this implies that Aqua can figure out his personal info as well and probably did in preperation before even Ai's secret went public. Thus we have to prepare for the fact that Aqua could've written a backstory for the culprit that mirrors Hikaru's backstory. He wants Hikaru to recognize himself in that character maybe. Just some thoughts, there are not essential to our study rightt now
) Gotanda had to take him in. Both as victim of the tragedy but also a his personal friend sort of (I think it's fair to say that Gotanda perceives him as such. They are also of a similar real age actually.)
But as we saw in PART I and PART II Aqua is due to his trauma completely cut off from the realization that he isn't guilty for Ai's death thus he is completely cut off from realizing her true intentions and instead take her death as his own fundamental premise (because of the deluted guilt-complex) for his interpretation. Thus he doesn't feel any incoherency between his path of self-destruction and revenge and Ai's true wish. But it's chronologically impossible to base her wish on that incident. This is purely
GOROU's influence
or as we figured out Gorou's grandfather who occupise his schizophrenic traumatized mind.
This the fundamental tension that fuels the literal disaster beyond all expectations we are heading right now! However Aqua made his point towards Gotanda. Well personally I think this is also the reason why the ending is open. As we know it's yet to decide if Ai forgives or condemn the culprit. I believe key to his strange notion is a
unresolved ethical and philosophical debate between Gotanda and Aqua. They couldn't agree what's true, what's "the better ending". Maybe they even have some sort of competition going since Gontana himself has some sort of a directing eye. He is not some stupid puppy who doesn't know his shit. He actually has an opinion as an artist on that too and I can see how there is a potential conflict between these two looming.
One uncertainty for me in this is to which extent Gotanda knows about Hikaru Kamiki if he knows at all. I think he doesn't and I think Aqua argued for his editorial influence over the script purely ethically, artisticly and philosophically. We will pick this up again later in this essay.
https://preview.redd.it/cb20n6562u3b1.jpg?width=1724&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd58e05e765f7df52bbab14870e811c5d824ba31 Having said all of that it is of course just my - i think well argued during a course of this 5 part series - theory that happen to work quite well with the underlaying psychology of Gorou/Aqua and interconnects in great detail with the actual plot content. But everyone has to judge for himself how believable this is.
However I think everything what was said in this chapter "The Big Plan" basically sums iitself up in these two Manga pages during Aqua's proposition to Kaburagi.
- First of all it's symbolic that Aqua is the one proposing. It means this is Aqua's story, how he sees it.
- Secondly the sctipt isn't finished yet. It's probably about the open ending or as I suspect its an ongoing debate between Gotanda and Aqua how to archive the social phenomenom Ai intends ("her true intention as an author")
- Thirdly Aqua expresses here his fundamental misconception by basing the whole plot around her murder and thus evalutes the "behind the scenes" that Ai leaked in her documented talks with Gontanda as part of his understand of his true wish where her murder is the quintessential tragic culminating point and where he personally sees the culprit to be condemned for it.
- Last but not least the last panel where Kaburagi would lowkey express his feeling that he and Gontanda were manipulated. These two pages show entirely what was analyzed and theorized in this essay. He kinda can't believe that this is Ai's intention. He suspect Aqua's corruption. But well, a guy like Kaburagi doesn't obsess about ethics, he collects himself instandtly and getsexcited about the project. Only he can produce it, as he puts zealously.
But the most important and fundamental message in that first panel was that Ai was "killed by a
FAN".
And here is what I believe is the philosophical or ethical disagreeement between Aqua and Gotanda: - If we condemn the culprit the social phenomenom that follows will condemn Idol-Fandom as a whole, maybe even destroy Idol-Culture. Because the culprit as the murderer of the ultimate Idol is the representative of the ultimate Fan, thus the unforgivable guilt he carries is the guilt each and every one of them carries too. Especially if the backstory of Ai portayd her as a deeply troubled girl who finally found happiness as a mother but at the same time - because of these obsessive fans - had to hide her happiness and eventually gets even killed for it. In this story the Otaku is an unbelievably selfish and ignorant monster and has no right to be redemed. Society has to shame him.
- If we forgive the culprit the social phenomenom that follows will initiate self-realization trough compassion inside the Otaku's mind but also help from society to hear their problems and actually be compassioned about their own mental problems. The "Otaku" but also society - so touched by the gesture that a girl with such a awful background still tried to love her fans and even forgives her murderer - will perceive this almost holy miracle inspirationally to love and forgive and heal, uplift entertainment. Instead of obsessive, absurd and self-absorbed entitlements as a consequence of unhealthy parasocial-relationships they accept the forgiveness granted to them and try to do better and literally let go. In this scenario the impetus of both Ai's message and the social phenomenm will be to blame the business practice behind idol culture that produce these unhealthy relations per design because it sells good.
Well, the difference between Gotanda's and Aqua's position is, that one has a
noble cause in mind and the other is literally the definition of a
tragic hero. His delusion is just some next level shit.
Epilog As I stated at the beginning of this chapter we have to look at the plot backwards because what we as the reader might know right now as of C119 was essentially known to Aqua himself right from the start. This method we will pick up again in a following PART VI in which we will take another step back and analyze the whole deal around Ai's family secret exposal.
Yes, yes, we will again argue for a highly unpopular opinion by Aqua fans or a popular opinion by Aqua haters: It was just a scheme initiated by Aqua. Stay tuned for this bit. Did he manipulate Kana or did he not? What clues can we find for it? How is it justifiable? Did he really had a good intent at heart while playing dirty upfront? We will figure that all out....
Thanks for reading!
