A month ago I got a lot of angry DMs and some downvotes for posting that I was taking £30k sat in my bank account earning nothing and splitting it across 3 investment routes (£10k in each).
My DMs were a mix of "you are an idiot" and "how is the savings account a test when you know the interest rate" - well... after one month; here's the update nobody wanted!
Chase: £10,027
When I signed up with Chase they offered 2.7% interest, then they increased it, now they've announced it's increasing again in April. So to all the DMs saying "Chase is 3% so you know after a year your 10k will be 10.3k" - this is why I wanted to test and track.

Turns out the April draw isn't until the 4th, so nothing to see here!
Bitcoin: £11,912
Honestly expected this one to take a dive for a couple of months (it did for a few days). But as we all know; that can happen at any time.

I'm travelling to Miami and then driving to Florida on early Tuesday (I live in the UK).
I applied for a travel credit card but it looks like it got lost in the post. Because of that it probably won't arrive before my departure, I have 1 day left to get it (Monday).
Does anyone have any advice for a card I either top up or can get instantly in America? I can bring cash and transfer it and then deposit it on a card, but I just need to know my options.

I’ve never had to borrow money, everything I own I’ve paid with my own money but this means I don’t have a credit score. It’s also safe to say I’m not financially literate in the least lol, but in order to move into an apartment I’ve been told I need a credit score. I was looking into credit cards but honestly have no idea what any of the benefits mean or what comes with it. I bank with USAA and was wondering if any of their cards would be helpful? I don’t know anything about credit cards other than I need to pay off whatever balance I accrue asap. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
Some things to note:
My job requires lots of travel (months maybe even years at a time) but when I’m traveling everything is paid for through a company card
Gas is always paid for
My only expenses would be food (when I’m not on a job), entertainment, and rent

I currently have a 3.00% 30 year mortgage. But our HELOC is at 8.75%. And the HELOC is from the same bank. We are soooo close to paying it off. But our mortgage is where the largest single lump sum of money go to every month.
Is it possible to get my bank to delay my payment by even 1 month or up to 2 months? And I don’t mean delay it and then pay a large lump sum later.
Or is it possible to only pay the principal and taxes for those 2 months and not the interest?
I saw on bank rate that talks about mortgage forebearance and they talked about “extended loan modification” where say if you had 15 years left and you forbearance for 5 months. You’d have 15 years and 5 months left now and no other part of your loan changes.
I’m in the US if that helps at all.

Hi everyone. I currently live in a townhouse and am interested in buying the unit next to us for my parents.
My real estate agent threw me a curve ball and said that since the house is so close to my primary, it would be considered an investment property with the bank. I am located in Texas If that helps.

I totally understand how frustrating it must be for anyone to Fail USMLE Step 3, especially when people seem to be passing this exam easily. Failing Step 3 is something people are ashamed of, especially after passing Step 1, Step 2 CK, and even matching into residency. Thing is, USMLE Step 3 is vague and unique in many ways. How is it different from USMLE Step 2 CK?, is scoring high helpful for matching in residency or fellowship? will a passing score suffice? The answers to these questions trouble me, so I had to embark on quite a bit of research and reading and concluded that, as far as the MCQ portion goes, USMLE Step 2 CK and USMLE Step 3 are actually IDENTICAL. Knowing this solves many problems. The big one is: We’ll you can use USMLE Step 2 CK resources to prepare for USMLE Step 3. This includes NBME’s Clinical Mastery Series and NBME assessment forms 9, 10, 11, and 12, and it’s generally advisable to do so.
Odds are, you passed USMLE Step 2 CK and mastered the clinical knowledge needed to pass Step 2 CK. This begs the question, why is it so hard to pass USMLE Step 3? I also heard of people graduating residency and still unable to clear Step 3, paralyzing them professionally.
I’m writing this post hoping to help people in these situations before the damage is irreversible.
