I have two goals: Gaming: Hogwarts Legacy, Age of Empires 4, Civ 6, Elden Ring if possible. I'd love to run them at 2k with as good a fps as possible. Editing: I would like to be able to edit 4k footage, exporting at 1080p. This would be happening several times a week. I won't ever be exporting at 4k. I would at MAX be exporting at 2k. However, I would be bringing in 4k footage for cropping reasons.

i was totally immersed for 130+ hours - id done 3/4 of shrines, mapped the entire depths, collected probably 90% of the armor in the game, did all 4 phenomena, got the master sword, the hylian shield, hell even the biggoron sword, sky sword, wind waker shield - i was cruising around the map on my hoverbike farming dragons to feed the bits to the great fairies - i was IN it
and then, for the first time, last night i took a run at ganondorf, just for a lark
id gotten down there, saw the lynel, and thought, 'nah, ill come back later'
well i ran through that final area, beat ganondorf,>! beat the dragon,!< and that entire ending sequence,>! barring maybe the fight against the wave of mobs,!< was flatly bad
ganon did approximately no damage, i had enough heart containers that the gloom was nowhere near a problem (i didnt even need my anti gloom food), and then the graphics were *so* glitchy in the dragon fight it felt like a cheap indie
dragon ganon froze and just spun on its axis so i could land on the next weak spot, and dragon zelda would just slide, unmoving through the sky so i could land on her head
i get that the dragon fight supposed to feel triumphant, and even a *little* easy, like after he eats his secret stone ganon is already done and youre just putting the last nail in the coffin, but that doesnt excuse the graphical glitches, and it doesnt excuse how inexcusably easy the ganondorf/demon king fight was; they were almost certainly trying to go for the rush of the ganondorf fight at the end of wind waker (probably the best ganon fight ever, imo), but to me they failed spectacularly
weirdly, the cartoonish, scimitar weilding, barrel shaped ganondorf in the green tunic was way more menacing than the red and black flaming demon king ganondorf or the giant demon dragon
(also, bonus graphic bug, demon kings health bar inexplicably just extended off the screen)
and yes, the idea that ganon can eat a secret stone and then be killed while zelda can eat a secret stone, be a dragon for millennia, and then be turned back into a princess with the power of love or whatever, yes that was a hugely crap plothole that sucked all the drama out of the whole 'dont eat your secret stone youll lose yourself become undying and never be able to go back' thing
i get that this game isnt about the story, isnt about the ending, etc, but this was bad enough that i think im done; i feel no impulse to go back to this world

This is a throwaway account because my boyfriend is an active Redditor, and we follow each other's accounts here, but he never goes to this sub.This is also going to be a long post, but I hope you can bear with me.
I (26F) have been in a relationship with my boyfriend (28M) for 5.5 years now, and this is probably the healthiest relationship I've ever been in. For the purposes of this post, I'll call him Ben. We met in college, and Ben was the sweetest and cutest guy I've ever met. He's two years ahead of me, but he was a part of the welcoming committee at our university, and boy, were we lucky. He was such a charismatic gentleman with an awesome personality and looks to match. I think everyone in my friend group, including me, had a huge crush on him, but he had a girlfriend at the time. When they broke up (she cheated on him), I took my chance and confessed my feelings for him. At that time, I was still a dumb kid, and Ben turned me down politely. However, months later, the stars aligned for us, and long story short, we became a couple.
Before COVID (we were already two years into the relationship by this time), we started living together for a few months because we both worked at offices near each other, so we figured it would be easier and more cost-effective. When the pandemic happened, we went back to our homes. However, things happened with Ben's household. His brother (let's call him Paul) came out as gay, and their parents kicked him out. Ben decided to take Paul under his wing, and we decided to live together again with Paul. Another layer to this was Paul becoming suicidal at the start of his coming out journey (I mean, he was kicked out by his parents, so that was really tough), but he's thankfully in a much better place now. Of course, Paul's recovery was extremely difficult.
In 2021, I started my master's degree. I had to quit my full-time job and take on some freelancing instead. I told Ben that I could still take on more freelancing clients to help with the expenses, but he told me not to so that I could focus on my master's. Suffice to say, I couldn't contribute much to our expenses. While I'm still earning, it barely covers our bills. Paul also volunteered to take on jobs while he's studying, but Ben forbade him so that he could focus on his studies (Paul is actually a genius, who now has a full-ride scholarship in college, which was why Ben didn't want him distracted).
So, Ben took it upon himself to work three or four jobs at a time to support himself, me, and Paul (who was still studying but was essentially financially cut off from their family). Ben actually grew up in a rural farm area, helping out his family, so all his life, all he knew was to work hard to survive. He was the first in their family to go to college, and although he wasn't the brightest, he certainly gave his best. That was also why he was so determined to support Paul in his academics. I chip in whenever I can, and my parents would also contribute from time to time, but it was really Ben who supported our little trio through those times.
However, this is where my concern for Ben starts. Whenever I ask him how he is, he always puts on a huge smile, then he hugs and kisses me, saying that everything is fine. But I can tell how physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted he really is. It's like whenever I'm not looking, I can feel that he's often trying to catch his breath, thinking about something or always brooding, which is really not like him at all.
Then, last year, Ben got a new job that pays about triple his salary compared to his previous main employer, so he didn't have to work multiple jobs anymore. He was so happy because he could spend more time with us now. That was such a relief for me because I could feel his old self genuinely coming back.
However, late last year, we had another curveball. Paul was diagnosed with a heart condition and needed surgery urgently. Of course, that meant a ton of expenses. Ben was once again forced to work A LOT. He was working overtime at his company and took on two more side jobs. He also borrowed money from friends, took out some loans, and basically did everything he could to make sure Paul got the treatment he needed. My parents also gave him money, which he initially refused, but he eventually gave in because he was still short. He also swallowed his pride and begged their parents for money, which they eventually gave, but with a lot of guilt-tripping, shaming, and tongue-lashing. Not once did I hear Ben complain about any of this, and to this day, Paul doesn't know a lot of what his brother had to do and go through to come up with the money.
Thankfully, Paul's operation was a success, and he's now making a full recovery. However, one night last February, I woke up at around 2 am and saw Ben still at our dining table, doing a bunch of paperwork. He told me it was nothing, just routine stuff, but I saw that he was computing all the loans and debts he had incurred trying to come up with the money for Paul's surgery. He kissed me good night, but I saw in his eyes that he was panicking deep inside and was about to break down, but he didn't.
A lot of other things happened between then until now. Last month, Ben was at the center of a heavily traumatic event which I can't disclose here (it involved legal and police proceedings, which are still ongoing). But throughout all this, Ben has maintained a very composed facade, and he continues to do so. During our ride home after receiving the devastating news, he was really quiet. I can tell that he's hurting, but he just doesn't verbalize it. He also told me not to tell Paul about the whole incident if we can help it, but he still found out last week because of all the legal things we're going through. When he found out, Paul actually cried and gave Ben the tightest hug, and I bawled as well. However, Ben was just like, "Man, I really don't want all this attention."
Then, last night, something happened that prompted me to write this post. While we were sleeping, Ben suddenly woke up and rushed to the kitchen, around 1 am. The commotion woke me up too, and I asked him what was wrong. I was so worried because he looked so pale, his lips were dry, and drenched in sweat. He also seemed like he was out of breath and he was panting heavily, struggling to speak. He said he felt that he could feel his heart beating so fast and that there was ringing in his ears. He was also feeling dizzy and nauseated. He tried to pour himself a glass of water, but his hands were shaking badly, so I did it for him.
I then took him to the ER, and hours later, after some tests (thankfully, this was covered by his insurance), the doctor said that Ben had a panic attack. Then, what shocked me the most was that Ben said this was not the first time this has happened. He told the doctor that this has happened about 4 times since last month, but last night was the most severe one. Upon hearing that, I felt like I was being punched in my gut, and everything went silent. I didn't hear what the doctor prescribed him. My mind went blank, and all I could think of was how terrible of a girlfriend I am for not noticing this earlier. When we talked about it at home, he just told me that he didn't want me to worry about him, and that he thought it was just allergies or something (I know, lame excuse). I just wanted to cry because all this time, Ben had been keeping this from me and is going through all this alone. I tried to talk to him some more about what we should do, but he just said he's got it under control now and I shouldn't worry about him anymore.
I'm really, really, really worried about him, though, and I don't know what to do.
I've never seen Ben cry or curse or be mad or be violent throughout our entire relationship. Every time, he just says something to reassure me, then he blurts out a joke or a sarcastic remark. I know that sounds like a dream guy for many people, but I'm just really worried about him. I've told him a thousand times that he can talk to me about whatever he's truly feeling, but he never opens up. I don't know if it's pride, ego, toxic masculinity, or just how he was raised, but I've told him multiple times that I will never judge him or see him differently. I always talk to him about my problems, so he knows that I treat our relationship as a safe space, and I've told him that he could do the same. However, the only "problems" he shares are shallow issues like not liking the lunch served at work or being 2 minutes late due to traffic or spilling coffee on his shirt.
Every day, before going out for work, Ben kisses me and says "I love you," but there's just something different about him. It's like he's putting up this entire persona just to please me, but I can see right through it. I don't know if it's just the sadness in his eyes or the way he sort of fakes his smile. Don't get me wrong, though. I never once doubted that he loves me, and I still deeply love him, but the fact that he doesn't acknowledge his negative emotions really worries me that he might just implode one day.I

Peace, Technology, Unity. These are what the council promises to its citizens
Empire size will remain under 100 for the duration of the game with this build if tall is what you are looking for, it is fall that you will recieve. we’re using 4 worlds, But it is technically possible with 3, Unity would be a problem in that case though.
Game settings i’ve tested this on, x1 tech, x1 habitables, x10 crisis, end game start year 2300, late game scaling, grand admiral. Normal ai aggressiveness.
TRAITS
Intelligent, because yes
Budding, it’s better than rapid Breeders for the late game, but rapid breeders can still be interesting since our early game economy kinda needs all the help it can get.
Natural engineers Or Traditional Or Talented if a leader build is what we’re going for, either one of theses is a good pick
Unruly is a free pick for the early years, and can be hopefully removed later, either by us or Composer RNG. An alternative would be nonadaptive, but it has a lot more of an impact early game.
Deviant, the negative governing ethics attraction will probably only end up as a rounding error, we are playing both psionic spiritualist, and tall. Ain’t no way we are getting any problems with diverging ethics.
Solitary is a nice alternative if ethic divergence scares you, we’ll be building city districts all over the place for the building slots, housing will not be an issue.. at all.
For our starting leader trait we’ll be going spark of genius, or logistic understanding, research speed is always nice, but the reduced ship upkeep would also be amazing in the late game, if you’re going with logistic understanding i would suggest picking a governor as a leader, for a couple reasons. Most notably we’ll be having some ringworlds with merchants late game, so the % increases to trade value are very interesting. Researcher is still better for research though, you can get a solid 20-25% so either one is worth a good amount of consideration.
ORIGIN
Teachers of the shroud for early Psionics. But in theory a lot of origins could do here if you are ready to give RNG a shot.
On a related note, the Patron we will be going for is ideally the Composer, since the bonus to pop growth is both good early game and invaluable to fill out our ringworlds. It also has the best Sanctum for our purposes and a decent ship component. Overall, a good option.
The instrument of Desire is also a good alternative, Job output and trade for our eventual ringworlds is good, but the real kicker is the mark of the Instrument, which reduces ship upkeep and increases sub light speed which is by far the best ship component of all the patrons.
Whisperers is okay-ish in the early game, but it really suffers once it gets time to actually fill our ringworlds and stuff. If you’re going for a weird, high evasion ships, super espionage build though.. eh, sure, why not. But otherwise it’s not ideal.
Since we’re going fanatic pacifist, we don’t have to worry about the Eater, like, ever. YAY !
Speaking of ethics…
ETHICS
:: Fanatic Pacifist, Spiritualist
Now this might come as a surprise, so why Fanatic pacifist ? It does lock us into defensive wars after all, and that’s awful… right ?
Well the defensive war only policy, doesn’t make as big a difference as it might sound like. Liberation war already only allows to make claims during defensive wars and that stays unchanged, and for a tall empire, losing the ability to impose ideology, or make a forced vassal through war, isn’t really all that much of a loss. If we want to declare war like, really badly, we will be getting alternative methods through the senate and general diplomacy.
On top of that, Fanatic Pacifist allows us to pick whatever authority we like, and frees up one civic slot which is actually pretty massive especially for build flexibility.
CIVICS
The first civic has to be. Master Crafters, the consumer goods are nice, but what is really a big deal here is the trade value, since with this play-style we’ll be staying with 3 to 4 planets only until our traditions are done, this will allow us to keep our original technicians on our homeworld and roll with it until the endgame.
The second civic:: can be, for exemple, Meritocracy, it’s just a good civic. But depending on what you’re going for you might want to look at something else entirely. Again picking fanatic pacifist really allows us to have a lot flexibility here.
The third civc:: Ascensionists. More Planetary Ascension effect is what the kids theses days would call, "very poggers".
AUTHORITY
Yeah just pick oligarchy. Or imperial if you plan on using feudal society or something.
TRADITIONS
1ST::
Expansion.
Expansion is a good pick for the reduced empire size from both systems and colonies, on top of the extra population growth, it’s just good, it also increases the weight to draw the Composer, which is the best patron by far for the late game. With the 20% to pop growth speed on top of the 10% increase to pop growth speed on Psi corps. It also has the best Sanctum of the patrons with a 5% empire wide production bonus on top of some habitability.
2ND::
Psionics
It’s just good for us to finish this one early so we will save up unity until we can finish the research for Psionic Theory which is generally the second to third technology pick after hydroponics and whatever else that shows up.
3RD::
Diplomacy::
Making a Federation is absolutely critical for our purposes, there is no other good reason to pick this, but the federation bonuses that the holy covenant gives are significant enough. If you’re not able to find someone with similar ethics, find a planet in the middle of nowhere and settle it, before releasing it as a vassal and then releasing the vassal to form a federation with it. That way they will have the same ethics and will be extremely willing to form a federation despite your war policy. You might want to leave that tradition incomplete until you at least get Champions of the empire to reduce the empire size.

Aptitude::
Leaders good. But the empire size reduction from champions of the empire is basically completely busted for tall players.
5th
Harmony, More planetary ascension, less empire size from pops, and even some extra leader lifespan, what more could a man want ?
6TH::
Mercantile, why mercantile ? Well, simply put. Money. Federations tax all forms of energy income other than trade, so you would be getting 15% more energy from all of your trade sources than any other sources by default with our current build, on top of that the extra merchants will allow us to make ringworlds with a massive amount of them, creating a downright obscene amount of energy, this perk is what fuels our energy economy in the late game, it’s vital that we take it.
7TH
Supremacy
It’s probably one of the best tradition trees in the game. It’s just straight to the point. It’ll ensure that our navy is as big as it can be given our small footprint.
ASCENSION PERKS
1st Imperial prerogative
2nd, Technological ascendency or transcendent learning.
3rd Technological ascendency or transcendent learning.
4th we’ll either be keeping around as free in order to pick Galactic wonders or we’re going to pick nihilistic acquisition (Yes, it requires authoritarian, but we’ll be electing our chosen one as divine sovereign, which switches us over to authoritarian.)
The rest is entirely up to you, you might want to pick up gardians of the galaxy for extra crisis damage.
THE GAME PLAN
2200-2230 is the hardest part, your economy is going to be in shambles very soon. Put down science labs as quickly as possible, homeworld is a tech world.
Find your guaranteed habitables, settle them as soon as you can, your first one will also be dedicated to technology, the second one will be consumer goods and once you find a fourth, it’ll be your unity world.
We aren’t going beyond that, we’re playing tall over here, empire size is our directive, if you want a more true to form approach, look up the 3k+ research by 2250 tutorial made by u/yzseven89, this dude knows how to play the game, he will bring you knowledge and technology.
We’re still aiming for a pretty cool 1k by 2230 and ideally 2k by 2250. It should be a pretty reasonable goal since we started off two tech worlds. Buy minerals, in the early years, don’t let the planetary queues be idle, build city districts, then buildings, and repeat. 3k is still theoretically possible, but it requires some good luck, it’s nice if you can achieve it, but i’d say a 2k goal is good enough.
You will want to switch to civilian economy.
In some cases you might even put the factory homeworld designation for a little while if necessary, ideally we want to avoid it since it shoots our alloy production in the foot and reduces our researcher output a little, but it might be necessary to relieve some stress off of your economy.
2230 - 2250 is the calm after the storm of death that is the early years, you have a few more pops to play around with, you have neighbours to make commercial pacts with and vassalize.
Genocidal empires will be the bane of your existence, you can’t out-power them in your current state, you just can’t, diplomacy is your only shield so you better use it well.
Make friends with your neighbours. Grant away favours early on in the relations if it looks like it’s going to turn sour. Friendship is mandatory.
Once the event pops up crown your chosen one as eternal god emperor, The council position it unlocks is the best in the entire game. Since you’re also authoritarian now, you can pick nihilistic aquisition, which will be very useful in the late game once we are starting to feel the effects of the relatively low pop growth that Psionic empires have.
Once you picked nihilistic acquisition with your free perk slot you had saved up, quickly embrace your pacifist faction once again, and say goodbye to the useless authoritarianism.
2250 - 2300
From then on it’s just about keeping your tech up, and making as many alloys as is reasonable on the side in anticipation of mega engineering.
If you have to build a megastructure from scratch, build a mega shipyard, it’s fastest and cheapest one, then i’d recommend the Dyson sphere followed by a ringworld.
Once you have all 7 traditions finished is when you can really boom and start putting down planetary ascensions, so don’t neglect your unity, it’s very important, so if you find yourself lagging behind in the 2250s, don’t hesitate to resettle three to five of your researcher pops to your unity world.
Start off an alloy world down the line and start pumping out them Ecumenopoli, two of your four ring segments to trade, two to research.
2300 - Victory
Make another ringworld, this time entirely for research. As for the rest. Make ships, prepare for the endgame crisis, and that’s about it.

I'll be starting Elden Ring in the near future and I've got a question or two about how the PvP works in this game.

1: Is the matchmaking based on my character level or does it use a scaling system to be able to matchmake all players ?

2 If it's based off of character level, is there a level at end game that's deemed the sweet spot for PvP after you finish the story ? As in, do players stop leveling when they hit lvl 85 because that's deemed a good place for PvP ?

I'm asking mostly because I'm very interested in the PvP after I complete the single player portion and I want to understand the lay of the land before delving in.

Udonis Haslem has been through almost every era of the Heat franchise and has seen it all. And though you likely won’t see him on the court, he remains the leader and voice of Miami’s mentality. Haslem is tied with LeBron James for active players who have played the most seasons in the NBA (20), so he’s as wise as they come.
'Florida Man' Seeks 4th Title
We’ve all seen the infamous “Florida Man” headlines, but Udonis Haslem may be the literal version of the Internet phenomenon. He grew up in Miami before making the trek to Gainesville to play for the Florida Gators. There, he became the first player in program history to play on four consecutive NCAA tournament teams. He also helped earn the Gators 97 wins, making him the player with the most wins in school history.

Haslem knows the Heat all too well. In Miami, he never goes out of style, and he has a reputation. Like Taylor Swift, he has his own eras within the Heat history, each one just as special as the last. Don’t worry though, NBA Finals tickets are still cheaper than Taylor Swift tickets.
Rookie → 1st Championship
In his rookie season (2003), Haslem played with Dwyane Wade (also a rookie) and Lamar Odom. The next season, Miami added another elite player: Shaquille O'Neal. Wade and Shaq formed the superstar duo that led the first Miami Heat championship (2006), and Haslem played a key role. Even though he averaged just over 6 points and 6 rebounds per game, he had 17-and-10 double-double in the Game 6 closeout of the Finals.
Superteam Era → 2nd & 3rd Championships
Haslem’s biggest nod from teammates came in 2010 when LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade all took less than their maximums so he could remain a part of the Heat. That should tell you something about how vital Haslem is to the organization’s success. It was the same era that the Heat went to the Finals four times in four years. They won two rings.
Jimmy Buckets Era
For the last four years, Haslem has played in Miami’s Jimmy Butler era. As we all know, the Butler years have been nothing short of spectacular as the Heat have been to the playoffs every year since he signed in 2019. They reached the Finals in 2020 (bubble) before losing to the Lakers. And now, they’re back.
Haslem credited the superstars he has played alongside. He attributes his success as a role player to those he played with, knowing only team over self. If his story tells us anything, it’s that you don’t need to be a superstar to leave your mark on a franchise, and the length of a career isn’t dependent on talent, but heart.
Heat Culture
Haslem takes pride in teaching teammates “Heat Culture.” And who better to teach them than the man who has played more than half of the seasons since the franchise began (1988). He played alongside some of the most talented players in NBA history and made the playoffs in 16 of his 20 seasons. Not to mention that this is his seventh NBA Finals appearance and potentially his fourth ring.
According to Haslem, Heat Culture is discipline, accountability, work ethic and enjoying somebody else’s success. He says there are no days off. More importantly, there is no offseason. To Haslem, Heat Culture is a lifestyle.
And though he doesn’t get much playing time at age 42, he remains a crucial part of Miami’s success. His wisdom from 20 years in the league and continuation of Heat Culture are what make him an invaluable leader to the team.
The hometown hero. The fan favorite. The player-coach. The Heat culture curator. This Florida man just loves Finals.

After coming from Engage, I can honestly say that Crests were a bad mechanic in this game. For all the lore and talk about how powerful Crests are in combat, especially when combined with a Relic, Crests themselves were pretty meh at best, or just bad.
They really didn't affect the gameplay all that much. Crests themselves were just special abilities that trigger via RNG, and even when active, few are ever useful.
Really, Crests were only useful for the compatibility with the Relics, and even then, there aren't that many Relics that are useful with their special combat art. Unless it's Raging Storm Edelgard, I just didn't feel the need to rely on Relics.
This especially makes things like the Crest of Flames, which is supposed to be THE strongest Crest there is, as it is the Crest of the Goddess Sothis herself, be nothing more than a glorified Sol that only procs on small occasions.
Crests were just very unreliable more often than not.
Really, Battalions were what we relied on.
In comparison, Emblem Rings were incredible, boosting stats, giving special weapons, new abilities, and even special attacks. They could very well turn the tides of battle, but not to the point that they break the game.
Hell, even Fates had that gimmick of Dragon Veins and how royals can use said Veins to get special effects on the field. Very useful and helped the gameplay a lot, so there's always an incentive to use royal characters from the story.
Granted, 3H is a pretty easy game, all things considered.
But if you could take the knowledge you have from Engage, and maybe even from Fates, how would you change how Crests functioned in 3H gameplay wise?
Better procs? Special abilities? Special attacks? Just be gamebreaking?
For me, one idea I had was giving the Crest of Flames the ability to utilize any and all Relics. I still like that idea.

Hi. I'm looking to talk to new people, maybe make a friend
They are:
History, especially the 19th-20th century but with more broad and general knowedge in other time periods. I'm not an expert or anything but I am pretty passionate about it and tend to read/listen about one event or the other on a pretty regular basis.
Literature, especially old novels. I recently read Demian (my all time favourite book), Day of the Oprichnik, Heart of Darkness, the Perfume and Little Prince. Some of my other favourite works would include: "The Picture of Dorian Gray", "Faust part I" (need to get to part II) and "No Longer Human". I also like to write short stories and book reviews. I'd also really like to read the same book with someone and discuss it. I just started reading Grimm's fairy tales.
Languages. I know three, with one being a bit rusty. I'm currently working to scrape off the rust and then when I'm finished with that will begin to learn a fourth language. It's fun to go through different works in multiple languages. For example, I read the aforementioned Faust part I in all three.
Games. I recently played Cyberpunk 2077. Now that the dust has settled and the bugs mostly removed...It's not that bad! The main questline at least, Fallout 76 (Very average, I'm dissapointed with what they made the "RPG" system) and will try out Deus Ex Manking Divided again ( Got inspired since it's somewhat similar to Cyberpunk). I was waiting to play Elden Ring but it ended being too stressful for me. Go here and get beaten up go there and get beaten up, repeat...Besides that I'm a big fan of Paradox strategy games...like EU IV and HoI IV (also thinking of making my own project for HoI IV). I am definitely looking forward to try out Victoria III, after they add more content to it. I also got Modern Warfare 2, since the first MW had great multiplayer gameplay.
Anime and Manga. In recent times my interest has waned but I still watch the occasional series here and there. Like Cyberpunk Edgerunners (Which I found to be rather mediocre) and the very good new season of Bleach. Some other favourites include: Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Death Note, Fate;Zero, Psycho Pass , Higurashi (season 2 is a bit weak but the first one is a masterpiece of horror), Code Geass, Attack on Titan and others. My favourite Manga is Berserk...I hope it gets a good ending..the first couple of new chapters were...a bit rough but the new author seems to have got his footing.
Anyway, that should be enough information to give you a good picture... Before I go, I would like to ask for you to include the title of the last book you read in your reply. A small request, I feel. I'll be ignoring those that don't.

Context: My (21F) boyfriend (30M) and I have been dating for about 2 1/2 years at this point. We’ve lived together for 1 1/2 of those years and have two fur babies. He has a very traditional Indian family who’s big into getting married ASAP and I have a lot of extended Mormon family who’s the same. Safe to say we’ve talked extensively about marriage and have agreed we would like to marry to each other. Neither of us are big into the whole wedding thing and would just do a simple courthouse wedding and take a nice honeymoon/vacation afterwards.
I knew this man was my one 6 months into the relationship. I can be an abrasive person and am not considered very friendly at first by a lot of people. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard the “When I first met you, I thought you were a b***h” phrase from everyone and anyone I’ve been close to. However, he’s never thought such a thing and has shown kindness, patience, and respect at every turn. He’s sees the best in people and in life and the best in me. He inspires me to be a more understanding person and I can’t help but get butterflies every time he’s around.
6 months-1 year in our relationship, I asked him how he’d feel if I was the one to propose to him. He found it incredibly sweet but he’d rather ask me. I left it at that. A year later, still nothing so I asked him if he was still planing on proposing. At this point, we were both wearing rings and telling people we’re engaged (even though we’re technically not). He had bought a house for the two of us and our pets so him having doubts wasn’t a concern. To note, he had done both of these things completely on his own, I never pressured him for it. Anyway, I asked him again and he said he just hadn’t gotten around to it and was, I quote, “just lazy”. He explains that it would be a whole process, that he has to ask my parents’ blessing, etc. I don’t believe in that kind of thing and even my parents would find it a little weird if he asked for their blessing and would tell him something like, “sure, but it’s really up to her.” He has a tendency to overthink things so I figured he’s overthinking the whole situation. This is one reason I’m thinking of proposing, to save him the hassle of going through the process and “expectations”. I also told him if he continues to take so long, I’m just going to do it anyway and he also found that sweet as well.
Another reason I’m thinking of proposing is because I don’t think he’s the type of person to plan anything special. Both he and I don’t see the big deal about weddings and marriage and what not, probably because our families are so passionate about it. His version of a proposal would probably be eating takeout food at home while watching anime and randomly popping the question. While that’s fine, I do kind of want it to be more special for the both of us. He’s definitely affected my life for the better more than I have for him. When or if I propose, I want to make it special for him and let him know what he means to me and how I know he’s my one.
In terms of the proposal itself, I would probably do it somewhere secluded, like behind a waterfall or something. He hates being the center attention (so do I honestly) and we both like the outdoors. I would also say something along the lines of “you can still propose to me but I just wanted to tell you how much you mean to me”. It would just be us two and maybe a photographer for pictures.
If anyone has any advice, tips, etc, please let me know!

So, this is a bit of a rant, I guess… Every time I go in to the Nordstrom in Scottsdale, AZ I shake my head, but I’m guessing it’s like this across the board: it’s the downmarket quality of the appearance of the salespeople. I understand that society has gotten progressively more casual, but I still think that salespeople should be wearing what their selling. I have no faith that a guy dressed like he’s about to mow the lawn can advise me about suits and ties. I trained as a salesperson at Nordstrom (yes, in the last century) and learned not only to keep my customer book update and correspond periodically with past customers, but to also KNOW the products I was selling and be able to talk fit and function and make recommendations. Our manager had meetings with us to talk not just about sales, but about seasonal trends and how best to wear the clothes we were selling. I knew our buyer and he’d pop in regularly to give us more knowledge about the products. The “shoe dogs” were legendary! And they made BANK because they knew their products. The store started out as a shoe store, so it was one of the premier departments to work in. You could spot a Nordstrom employee a mile away, just by noticing the way they dressed and their brown customer book in their hand. A woman was once sent home because she wasn’t seasonally dressed. Another had to change her hosiery because “tan” wasn’t enough of a fashion statement. These 2 examples I remember well. Yesterday? Honestly, it was sad… the gum chewing (so gross), the hanging out and chatting with each other about “stuff”, and the general attitude of just being there to ring items up rather than assist in sales, it was just so underwhelming. You’d think they’d really push the idea of modeling how to dress and what to put together to create an environment you can’t get online, but no. It’s been a very disappointing experience for awhile now, but yesterday it just really got to me.

Its probably one of the mods screwing it up. I used the best of times to set everything up.

Just finished (and loved) Elden Ring and I’m looking for my next PS4 game before moving on to the PS5 and playing Forbidden West/ Ragnarok

-Horizon Zero Dawn (Favorite game of all time) -God of War 2018 -Last of Us -Spider-Man -Elden Ring
What should I do next? Preferably an RPG!
