Well I happen to do that and today I got an email from the the usf dining derives informing me of the “enhanced meal plans” for the upcoming fall semester. Apparently it was “based on student feedback” and what did they for my plan for example was increase the price of my supposed “locked in rate” and decrease the benefits that my plan originally offered. This just seems like a money grab to me.

Rivian is down 90% and looking like it will get worse if it loses it's NASDAQ spot. Rivian IPO'd with a $100+ billion market cap... which they got because Nio was near 100b and they said Rivian is American so should be worth more.
Lordstown (RIDE) is down 90% for the year - IMO largely due to the fact that their upcoming truck has a range of a measly 174 miles which means no one will buy.
When NIO was $70, these other names were massively overvalued.
RIDE was over $400 and is now $3
LCID was $50 and is now $6
RIVN was $100 and is now $14
WKHS was $40 and is now less than $1
PSNY was $13 and is now $3
These companies were all riding the coattails of NIO, which is the only EV maker with a VIABLE product. I believe what we're seeing now, is the natural "prove it" moment for these companies and they're all failing to deliver. There were too many EV makers in the market and the survival of the fittest is playing out.
A few of these companies have good products (Rivian), but they can't manage their expenses and are losing money hand over fist. Nio may need to improve it's delivery numbers, but it's well equipped to outlast these competitors by a long shot. Lucid, Polestar, Lordstown, Faraday Future, Workhorse will all fade into dust and much of those investment dollars will be reallocated to NIO. I believe this is the bottom and from here on Nio will rise from the ashes of the fallen.

I have a 2004 FZ6. I just charged up the battery because it was previously dead/mostly dead. Before I took the battery out, the bike would turn the gauge cluster on when the key was in the first position, and then in the ignition position, everything would still stay on (like it is supposed to do) and the fuel injection system would run for a second before stopping (like its supposed to). When I pushed the starter, it made a rapid clicking sound and I diagnosed that as a dead battery, which it was.
Today, I put the battery back in, and when turning the key to the first position, the gauge cluster fires up (once again, like its supposed to). However, now when I turn the key to the ignition spot, the gauge cluster fades away till it is gone, and on top of that the fuel injector never turns on.
However still, the first time that I turned the key after I replaced the battery, everything turned on as it was supposed to, but when I hit the starter, it made one click sound up by the gauge cluster and everything shut off, as if the battery just died. After that, every time you turn the key to the ignition spot, all the electronics slowly shut off.
I have no clue what this might mean. I checked the two fuses on top of the battery and they are both good. There is a full tank of gas is the bike. The battery is fully charged right now.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone, I've been unwell recently and have started to freak myself out while I wait for my abdominal ultrasound on Monday.
To start, I noticed intermittent lower back pain that was hot and stabbing 4-6 months ago. It would come on, last for a few seconds, then stop, then repeat that for 10-20 minutes. It happened 4-5 times and I didn't think too much of it.
Starting last week I have now had constant lower left back pain. In terms of how low, around or slightly higher than belly button. This has came with a fever of 101.8, nausea immediately after eating, and headaches.
This along with a couple severe bouts of hypoglycemia that occurred at the same time (I'm not diabetic) was enough to go to the Urgent care. Urgent care PA said nothing they can do. But took a urine dipstick test just in case. Came back clean. Trace protein, no blood.
This did not satisfy me so I took a CBC and CMP blood lab and scheduled an appointment with my primary care physician. The CBC came back elevated by 15-20% red blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit. As well as 1.5mg/dL bilirubin. Everything else normal. My physician couldn't directly diagnose anything so he ordered an Iron test and thyroid test that'll be in tomorrow. He also scheduled an abdominal ultrasound for Monday.
I went to work (today) after the appointment and ate breakfast and noticed an hour after I was again very nauseous, with a gurgling stomach, burping a lot, and seemingly constipated. I'd go to the bathroom every hour just to release gas and let off a slim and smooth stool.
I started researching all the symptoms and am now incredibly worried. Unsure if I should go to the hospital or just wait it out.
I appreciate any help I may get.

As of yesterday, my wife and I are the owners of a new 2023 Bolt 2LT. We made the purchase through Simpson Chevrolet of Irvine (California). I'll break down the timeline and more below:

• Ordered via texting with the dealership on February 15th. Locked in MSRP at that time. No reservation deposit required.
  • Requested a red Bolt with the infotainment package, adaptive cruise control, and the dual-level charge cord.
• On April 12th we were notified that the Bolt was produced and awaiting transportation.
• On May 15th it was shipped from the Lake Orion Plant Yard.
• On May 29th we were informed that the Bolt was at the dealership. We were notified on May 30th that the bolt was charged and inspected by the dealership and ready for pickup.
• We took possession of the car yesterday, May 31st. It took a few hours as they were having an issue with their systems or something, but it was an easy wait.
• SchoolsFirst FCU (our auto loan provider) was very easy to work with, lowest rates we could find for our area. I was also eligible for the $500 educators discount at the dealership, which was a nice bonus.
• I plan on using the reward points I received towards getting the all-weather liner. I think it's probably worth it, but if someone wants to convince me to spend the points elsewhere...

What did I think of the dealership?
Overall I'm very happy with my experience. We were given the option to purchase an extended warranty and a paint/interior protection package, and declined both. No pressure from them. When we were doing the paperwork we were also informed that SchoolsFirst had some other protection packages that we could optionally add on. We declined those as well, no pressure from their end to accept once again. We communicated only via text until yesterday, they kept me updated on the status of the Bolt and also let me know about other Bolts that came in, in case I wanted to pick one of those up instead. It was pretty easy getting everything wrapped up once it came in. They did mention that they were doing a dealer markup on Bolts now (2k I think?) but apparently we got in under that wire. No "bait and switch" with the price at the end of the day, no BS, so they have my two thumbs up. On a bit of a funny note, the sales associate I was working with mentioned that they were aware Reddit talks about them. I didn't even bring Reddit up, but apparently they are well aware that people are upset about dealer markups. So that happened.
What do I think of the Bolt?
I'm very happy. The Bolt is just fun to drive. One pedal driving and utilizing the region paddle wasn't as hard to adjust to as I thought. I can charge for free at work (plenty of level 1/2 chargers and some DCFC available), which was a big factor in considering an EV for me. The HOV lane sticker is certainly something I am looking forward to as well. I think the 2LT interior is amazing, and I'm satisfied with the Bose sound system upgrade. I'm 6'2 and I find that I have plenty of space in the drivers seat. I haven't really driven in EV's before and how quiet it is (comparatively) is a bit hard to get used to lol. It's a pretty big difference from what I was previously driving. I was commuting in a 2004 4runner until today. Don't get me wrong, I love my 4runner and Toyota makes great cars but for my purposes the Bolt is just way more appropriate. We need to keep it for surfing excursions as well, and I'm happy to run it into the ground, if such a thing is possible. Anyways, I think it was a great purchase so far especially with the CA rebate and tax incentives still to come. And that's about it!

EMPLOYMENT & INCOME
I'm a 23M with a bachelor's degree making $21/hr, which equates to $43,680/year ($21/hr x 2080 working hours per year) pre-tax. My biweekly post-tax/401(k) + FSA contributions paycheck is about $1,150. I also receive quarterly bonuses of about 7.5%, limited mileage reimbursement, and 15 days of PTO per year (which is used for both vacation and sick time).
My employer matches my 401(k) contributions as follows:

• 100% match on the first 2% contributed
• 50% match on the next 4% contributed
• 3% profit share contribution (this is contributed regardless of whether I contribute to my 401(k))

I'm currently contributing 6% to receive the full match (4%) and the profit share contribution (3%). This adds up to 13% of my pay being saved in my 401(k). One catch: the employer match is vested after 2 years, and I've been in this position for about 8.5 months.

Brokerages are overweighted because of a large position in an individual stock, which I purchased when I knew less about investing. My position is down about 25% due to a high cost basis. I still believe in the company's turnaround, but I've learned my lesson about individual stock picking and my plan now is to invest only in low-cost index funds (...while keeping this position).
My intended asset allocation is:

• 100% VTSAX in my 401(k)
• 100% VT in my Roth IRA
• 65% VTI + 35% VXUS in my taxable accounts

I'll eventually add BNDW as I get older. I also want to weight VXUS higher to balance out my 100% domestic 401(k) (which does not offer great options for international exposure).

The "car repairs" average is misleading—it includes registration & titling fees when I moved, windshield replacement, and engine repair. As a reference, last month I paid only $50 here.
"Health" means appointments, prescribed medicine, materials, and therapy. My lovely mom sends me $200/month for these expenses. I am contributing the yearly $3,050 maximum to my company-provided FSA, and have so far been using it to pay for health-related expenses. However (as of today) I only have $805 left for the year, so I expect to feel these expenses more in the coming months.
[Now that I've typed this out, I definitely see the -$230 monthly difference between my stated biweekly paycheck and expenses. This feels off because I end up saving every month—my personal spreadsheet shows that on average, I make $3,200/month.]

At the time I'm writing this I'm 17 years old and this all happened a little over a week ago. For a little background information, I live in a small rural town and have always been a very paranoid person. I often stay home alone, especially at night, due to my mom's job and my dad will often disappear for odd jobs around town at random times in the day and night. My brother also lives with us but he likes to leave to either stay at my sister's across town or stays a few nights at his friends house. Lately a lot of people have gone missing in nearby cities and towns between the ages of 1-18, even a few newborns, which never eased my paranoia. So whenever I'm home alone I make sure to lock the doors, I never have to worry about the windows due to them either being blocked or have an ac unit in them. I only ever go outside if I need to take my mom's dog Ava and my brothers dog Molly outside to use the bathroom or need to get something out of the deep freezer. So one morning I was home alone and would be until at least eight at night when my dad would get home. I had decided to let Ava and Molly outside to go use the bathroom and pull something out of the deep freezer to cook for dinner. Ava started growling and refused to leave the patio while Molly just stayed near her, which was odd since Ava was very playful and had never growled once her whole life. I decided to look across the street at the empty field at just saw a man standing in the grass near the woods. I could make out some minor features on him though, he had short brown hair, blue long sleeve shirt, and shorts. It was a little weird and made me uncomfortable but I brushed it off thinking to myself it was just someone camping just to make myself feel better. Ava and Molly wouldn't leave the patio and stayed near me so I just took them inside. As I took them inside a large white van had drove past the house a little slow but I just thought it was nothing and ignored it. Later in the day I decided to take the dogs out again and sit on the porch steps as I play on my phone as they do their business. After a few minutes I looked up from my phone as the dogs ran up to me to go back inside and saw the same white van from earlier pass by the house again, it made me a little paranoid but I just ignored it and just thought it was a coincidence as I took the dogs inside, making sure to lock the door just in case. Around 6 I decided to start making dinner, since I like to go to bed early. Halfway through cooking at around 6:20 Ava started scratching at the front door to use the bathroom, but when I went to open the front door I felt uneasy and scared. I unlocked it and opened it slightly to look outside and saw the white van from earlier in the driveway, I couldn't see the driver the in the passenger seat I saw the man that I saw near the woods talking to the driver before getting out. I immediately shut and locked the door and went to my parents room where my dad had his guns and locked myself in there with the dogs as I called my dad knowing he would be at the house faster than the police. As I waited for my dad to get to the house I called the police as I heard the guy trying and open the back door near my parents room. As I waited I heard the guy bang and try to open the door for about 5 minutes before he quit. After another 5 minutes I heard my dad come into the house and yell for me. The guys who were in the white van had left shortly before my dad got home and the police showed up shortly after him. After I gave a description of the man I saw to the officer he left and my dad stayed home with me the rest of the night and when my mom came home he explained everything to her. My mom works at a local convenience store and after my dad told her what happened and I said what the guy who tried to break in looked like she went pale. She had just seen them at the store getting gas just an hour before her shift ended. A few minutes later we all got an amber alert for a girl about 12 years old who went missing in town, and the description of the guy and the vehicle she was taken in matched the description of the guy who tried to break into my house. If it hadn't been for the fact that I always lock the doors I don't think I would be here telling this story today.

The question for the calculator is, if I had invested 1 million in X year in VTI, I would have Y amount today. Is it as simple as looking at the price then and now? the main reason why I’m considering a new car and the Mazda 3 turbo hatchback is that it’s within my price range ( $37,000 about) and looks pretty good. It’s a hot hatch. Ive got currently 74,500 miles on my car, and it’s inevitable that I’ll start to get bored of it slowly… I’ve watched all my my YouTubers review the car and it makes good power especially with 93 octane gas.
For all the owners of the premium plus top tier trim, how does the car drive? Obviously, I haven’t test driven the car yet. How does it handle? I’m more so worried because it has 18” 215 width tires, and I’ve got upgraded 255/35/zr19 on my sporty.

As the dude that kept making daily report threads on how long it's been since CIG removed SQ42 from the store and attempted to hold them accountable, I can confirm that CIG does in fact not give a shit until you are featured in an article. Today was Day 14 and it got picked up this morning by MassivelyOP. Unfortunately, it took less than a couple hours after that to have CIG go through and remove my posts regarding the entire situation. It's clear that it happened because I am getting news out about SC in a more efficient manner than their own autistic community managers are.

SC is a scam, through and through. I've accepted that all my money was utterly wasted over the years, and sometimes things are in such an atrocious state that I can't help myself and do what I can to hold CIG accountable. While I obviously can't say on Spectrum what I actually think about them, I did my best to be respectful and reasonable with how I approach things. Most of the time, they go nowhere, but with my daily reports, it got serious attention primarily from the clowns that want CIG to keep most backers in the dark.

This is now the SECOND time in which I've gotten a post on Spectrum to be popular enough that it gets reported on, and I got a healthy ban then as well. CIG has proven that they don't give a shit about their promise about communicating and will do everything in their power to shut down any discussion that is critical, asks questions, or anything they perceive as negative that gets popular.

I fully plan on continuing my daily reports, albeit in an altered fashion so they have no standing to say that it's spamming Spectrum, and plan to make as much noise about CIG's inability to make simple announcement posts about stuff. It truly is amazing that they flat out are refusing to make announcements about SQ42 being removed and ship pricing changes. You can also tell their priorities with how fast they answered the ship pricing drama lightning fast but took 10 days to comment on SQ42 being removed.

With that, fuck CIG. They have shown me how to get under their skin, so I will do all I can to continue doing that. Doesn't matter if your respectful or a dick, they don't care unless you're there to deepthroat them upon command.
