abt me: im a 19yr old female, and i am currently studying astrophysics in massachusetts. i was born in venice, italy, but moved to the US when i was 16.
family: in early may of this year, i moved out from my (mentally/emotionally) abusive parents' house and moved about an hour away from them. i have 4 older brothers (😭) and i am the youngest. i dont know my relatives pretty much at all.

Just wanted to start this off with a hello, since this is my first time ever doing this, i just need some answers. I told her that i had liked her for a very long time, and it's not out of the question to say i've loved her since the day my eyes laid upon her being. she agreed that we could start something but she didn't want to get too serious. we both ended up getting attached, me especially so, but there was one thing that has always bothered me and is definitely bothering me now. she doesn't get anywhere near the level of serious with guys as she is with me, but there have been guys that are something to look out for. one guy had her attention then blocked her, and then we're in the present. this guy took her out on a date, and not only that but she lied to me about it, saying it was her friend, and then i suppose guilt overcame her because she told me the following day. i was and still am heartbroken, but i forgave her as she claims all they did was get sushi and watch a new horror movie that just came out, Evil Dead Rise i'm pretty sure it's called. i believe her since we have each others location, and she was where she said she was.. but what broke me was the fact she lied to me about it. he also asked her on a second date and she didn't say no, and that hurt too but am i in the wrong for being hurt? for not wanting her to go on that second date? am i being played? what do i do? i feel like she's the one, but i honestly don't know what to do since i technically have nothing on her, meaning i can't say anything like she's cheating because we technically aren't together. it pains me a lot, and i honestly have no clue on what to do.

I figured the best way to jump back into the dating game may be to try online dating since I have an second shift work schedule and find it difficult to meet people in real life.

Hiya, this is my first post ever and i’m very anxious about it. To start off, I’m going to be giving fake names because I desperately want this to stay as anonymous as possible. My best friend, we’ll call her Lily (F19) and I have been friends since basically diapers. Our grandparents and aunts both grew up together as well and I guess we just carried on the tradition. In high-school, Lily and i met another girl (the one who appeared back in my life recently) and we’ll name her Jackie (F21) We all sort of formed a trio friendship and everything was really good for about a year, but you know what they say about trios. I had found out at the time that Lily would lie to me and give me excuses like she had to see a teacher for extra help, but i would later find out she was hanging out with Jackie. This caused a huge insecurity problem for me and i eventually distanced myself from them both because i was extremely hurt. When I did eventually confront them about it i was told that i was selfish and i don’t always have to be with them (which i understand we didn’t, it was the lying that made me upset.)
Anyways this is necessary to include because it was the beginning of the downfall of Jackie and I’s relationship. Eventually, Jackie found herself in a very very bad relationship, i won’t disclose the details as it is not my story to tell. She ended up completely cutting off every person in her life but this boy and just disappeared. Lily and I were obviously betrayed, we both felt as if ghosting your supposed best friends for a boy was insane. During this time we found out from each other a ton of stuff that Jackie would say to us about each other, and some of those things really cut deep and we both decided to keep her cut off. Fast forward to a year later (now), Jackie texted me and asked me if we could call. It honestly took a lot for me to not cuss her out immediately but the nostalgia in me couldn’t help itself. We called and she explained the shit that happened between her and her ex partner and I couldn’t help but almost be brought to tears. As for the gossiping that was happening before we cut off the friendship, i confronted and she apologized and I didn’t think much of it anymore.
I am still very cautious of her and don’t consider her a close friend, we truly don’t even talk much. We hung out once after the call and haven’t since. When i told Lily about all of this she was MAD. Which i completely understand, Jackie did say some things that were honestly nasty and hurtful. I tried explaining that i am not seeking out a friendship, rather i am forgiving and instead of keeping a chip on my shoulder forever i just want to be free of any weight that i had on my shoulders from the hatred and anger i was feeling. Understandably, i no longer spoke to Lily about Jackie whatsoever and she doesn’t know that we talk maybe once a week to see how each other are doing but nothing more than that. the past year or so i’ve noticed an intense change in Lily and I’s relationship. She no longer texts me first or answers me, we are extremely distanced and it constantly feels like she wants to cuss me out but is keeping it inside. I feel like the choice i made to let Jackie back into my life was a huge betrayal and i’m starting to think i made a mistake.
I’m really stuck and i don’t know if i should cut Jackie off again? Or try having another conversation with Lily? Even though it seems as if every time i do i’m talking to a wall. I’m just really lost and need some advice. The stress from this whole situation makes me want to throw up.

So I understand a BS in CS is a very impressive and beneficial degree as it opens so many doors to great career opportunities. Im at a community college and I originally majored in CS, but at first glance I could just tell you that when I took my first coding course, I hated it more than anything. Then I decided to narrow down my interests and career options, cybersecurity came to mind, and I was interested in it, so I decided to pursue a major in that, but now I’m majored in IT since it cybersecurity is a subset of that, and I want more opportunities in networking and security. There is coding involved in IT obviously but not an enormous amount, im willing to cover the basics and have knowledge of learning how to use python and gain experience coding and scripting, but in CS I feel like it’s all coding, it’s way more advanced and you need lots of knowledge of coding and math too which I also despise (at least learning math in BS program). So if I’m not a big fan of coding, is there really a point in majoring a CS degree? Am I better off majoring in a less complexed field like IT?

Current daily is an 09' Camry LE and I enjoy it a lot. However, I've found that I really value a "fun" ride.
My budget is pretty open and I'm mostly interested in bang for my buck. If the best deal is 25k great, if it's 12k great. The most I'd be comfortable swinging is 35k if I had to put a cap.

So Iv usually been the quiet shy type, the one that tends to sit in the back of class and hope i don't get noticed. Is there anyone else who shares a sense of discontentment towards their work? I am currently 33 years old and have spent a significant portion of my life working in the corporate sector. I began my career in a developing country and later immigrated to the United States. I managed to advance up the corporate hierarchy and reach an annual income of approximately half a million dollars before ultimately deciding to leave my job out of frustration. I experienced feelings of humiliation and perceived unfairness within the corporate environment. It seemed that the more effort I put into my work, the more I was taken advantage of. Throughout my professional journey, I encountered numerous managers who displayed narcissistic tendencies. As a result, I find myself harboring intense anger and resentment, to the extent that I am willing to forgo employment and potentially face homelessness. I have developed an interest in monitoring the economy, and I strongly believe that the Federal Reserve has contributed to its deterioration through unfair practices and by catering to the egos of those in the Bay Area who have amassed substantial wealth, while treating individuals from outside the area poorly. There is only one openly gay soccer player. The impact that such a big name player coming out would be huge. There would be a lot of backlash because there are so many countries that still have problems with it. I know that in America, we don't have much of a problem with it but we are barely a footnote in the beautiful game. But so many Central and South American countries still do. I knew him via LinkedIn and was able to land an interview without applying formally. The interview felt great! Even went over in time—
Now, the clinic manager of the unit is asking me to forward my resumé to the recruiter (even when he has it)
Is this a good sign? Not sure why he would ask me to do it when he can just fwd it himself. Im sure this is an HR related matter but I cant help but be curious. Any insight would be great!

I rented my home to a man in his 40s-50s. I found out however he was renting out the rooms in said house and pocketed the cash.
When I finally went into the house after I evicted him the house was disgusting. The carpet was stained in a mystery brown color. Doors were broken, holes were made all over the house etc.
when I was cleaning up the backyard I dug up this plant called ruda/rue. To my knowledge this plant is used to supposedly protect you from evil or the eye (ojo) as they call it. Under the plant I found black and blue cloth bags full of brown dirt? I wasn’t quite sure what it was but I got a gut feeling something wasn’t right and just threw it away.
Once I fixed up the house and rented it again I got a disturbing text message from my current renter. His dogs have a habit of digging holes. And his dogs dug up a mason jar full of brown liquid with meat that had fur attached. I felt nauseated when I read his text. The exact place where his dogs dug up the jar was where the previous renters had built a makeshift shed. The bottom of the shed was covered with a thick plastic cover.
I have a very uneasy feeling about this.. I was just wondering if anybody could give me answers as to what my previous renter could of possibly been doing?
