----- *"For fans, watching in bars fulfills their desire to share the love of a game that many watched at home alone before. Fans organize so-called Barcraft events, taking over pubs and bistros from Honolulu to Florida and switching big-screen TV sets to Internet broadcasts of professional game matches happening often thousands of miles away."* - [The Wall Street Journal](http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424053111904070604576516462736084234.html) ----

2013.11.17 23:55 DirtyFeinstein Senator Feinstein: Representing everybody but us

Many Californians, left, right, & center want her out, but are continually met with 'It can't be done'. Bottom line: We can do better. Let's build a case. What *do* we like about Sen Feinstein? What *don't* we like about Senator Feinstein? What do we as Californians and Americans want in a Senator? Who are some strong contenders for her replacement? How do we make sure the medicine isn't worse than the sickness when she is replaced?

Do you still get loads of competitive points in OW when the season ends? For example in open queue i’m in diamond so will i receive 750 comp points beginning of season 4?

2023.03.29 18:39 Heavy_Indication5967 How the next few updates will play out, your wallets will be drained, and the game has been ruined for me:

This is my take on the coming months. First of all my wife and i only played 2v2 so we have no reason to lvl our cards up anymore bc of the lvl 11 cap nor spend money on pass or other offers to support our favorite game monetarily. It appears they don't care about 2v2ers, they have ruined the game for us. But I think it is a money grab that will be more noticeable in the future for 1v1ers. It looks like they have removed the book of books and the magic coin entirely. I know it won't be on the pass any more but a graphic they shared previewing the new season shop on March 17th had the book of books and magic coin missing. That will make it tremendously hard to level up champions to 15 in the future giving a more "incentive" to buy the diamond pass for the champion wildcard and other shop offers from the real money shop. And we still don't know what the other books, book of commons, epics, rares, and legendary will be in the season shop. I can almost guarantee you it will require you to buy the token multiplier via gems to make enough tokens to purchase them, especially the legendary book. That will give more incentive to spend money on gems to buy the multiplier. I cant remember exactly but it will be around 1,750 gems(about 20 dollars U.S) per day to be able to get 8000 season tokens a day. Even if you max 1000 tokens per day for an entire season without spending gems in the multiplier, I bet you still cant afford the higher books. With the way things cost now in the season shop I feel very positive the books will be a ton of season tokens. So all this will be come more evident as time goes on as they are gearing up for something big. Sure, the season shop could be good, but there is a reason behind it this. Its not to help us lvl our cards up, but a plan that will require you to spend lots of real money and invest a lot of time if you want to max your deck from 14 to 15 in the future. Mark my words, the money grab is coming. It will be up to us if we let them win. But they won't get a penny from me since they killed 2v2 and that's all I played.

2023.03.29 18:17 yoboyclown [Looking for] roommate in 3br apt in ASTORIA (842$ rent)

One room available in 3 bedroom rent-stabilized apartment
• May 1st or later move-in
• One room available in 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom apartment
• $842/mo + utilities and wifi
• 10x12 ft and spacious closet
• < 1 block from 36 Ave N/W line
• laundry on site
• street parking
• Unfurnished
• A/C included (wall unit)
Looking for a kind, tidy, respectful young professional to take over my room in a rent-stabilized Astoria apartment. I have two amazing roommates (male and female) who are young professionals, best friends, and lifelong Astoria residents.
Our spacious apartment is on the second floor of a three floor building. This apartment has a living room/kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, and a laundromat conveniently located downstairs! The nearest grocery store is one block away. Access to plenty of restaurants/bars, and 2 blocks from the bustling Broadway area.
A 15 minute commute into Midtown Manhattan and a less than one minute walk from the 36 Avenue N/W stop. There is also proximity to the Steinway Street station for the M train.
$842 rent does not include utilities ($50-80 each usually) and wifi. You should be financially stable with savings and be able to commit to making timely rent payments monthly. Unfortunately no dogs, couples, or smoking. The bedroom will be unfurnished. The apartment is right near an above ground subway track, but the noise is minimal with the window closed.
Thank you for your interest!

Chapter Three
  1. If so [אם כן, ’eeM KayN], what is [מהו, MahHOo] [the] his advantage [יתרונו, YeeThRONO], of the YeHOo-DeeY? Or what is the benefit [התועלת, HahThO`ehLehTh] that is in circumcision?
“… the possession of merely conditional promises is of no value if one fails to meet the conditions… Paul seems to be suggesting that God’s promises to Israel are ultimately NOT conditional … [compare with] chapter 11.” (Knox, 1954, TIB p. IX 421)
I would have asked the rhetorical question, did God make a bar bet? Did he make a promise he knew he would not need to keep?
  1. Much [הרבה, HahRBayH], upon every aspect [פנים, PahNeeYM]. First [of] all, in[to] their hands were committed [הפקדו, HooPhQeDOo] words of Gods.
  2. And if have that do not believe [האמינו, Heh’ehMeeYNOo], so what [אזי מה, ’ahZahY MaH]? Does [האם, Hah’eeM] nullify [יבטל, YeBahTayL], [את, ’ehTh] lack [of] their belief [אמונתם, ’ehMOoNahThahM], his faithfulness [נאמנותו, Neh’ehMahNOoThO], of Gods?
  3. No way [με γενοιγο, me genoigo, חלילה HahLeeYLaH]!”
“It needs to be recognized that God is faithful and every man a liar.” (Clarke, 1831, p. VI 51)

Every Son of ’ahDahM Sins [verses 9 – 20]
  1. And in that [ותכן, OoBKhayN], are better, we, from others? No, all and all no, that behold, already we proved [הוכחנו, HOKhahHNOo] above [לעיל, LeaYL], for the YeHOo-DeeYM and the nations are as one enslaved [משעבדים, MeShooahBahDeeYM], all of them, to sin,
  2. as is written:
“There is none [אין, ’aYN] righteous, not [אין, ’aYN] even [גם, GahM] one. 11. None schooled [משכיל, MahSKeeYL]. None seeks [את, ’ehTh] Gods. 12. The all turn away [סר, ÇahR], together they are putrefied [נאלחו Neh'ehLahHOo]. None does good, not even one. [Psalms 14:1-3 & 53: 2-4] 13. A grave open, their throat, their tongues flatter [יחליקון, YahHahLeeYQOoN], poison of [חמת, HahMahTh] asp [עכשוב, `ahKhShOoB] under their lips. [Psalms 5:20] 14. That curse, their mouth, full and bitter. [Psalms 10:7] 15. Their legs hurry to spill blood, 16. plunder [שד, ShoD] and breaking [ושבר, VahShehBehR] in their tracks [במסלותם, BeeMeÇeeLOThahM], 17. and way [of] peace they do not know. [Isaiah 59: 7-8] 18. There is not fear [of] Gods before [לנגד, LeNehGehD] their eyes.” [Psalms 36:2]
“With very little variation, these are the evils in which the vast mass of mankind delight and live. Look especially at the nations of Europe who enjoy most of the light of God; see what has taken place among them from 1772 to 1816; see what destruction of millions, what misery of hundreds of millions, have been the consequence of satanic excitement in fallen ferocious passion!” (Clarke, 1831, p. VI 51) [in 1818]

………………………………………………………………
Gods make righteous [את, ’ehTh] the ’ahDahM upon hands of the faith [verses 21 to end of chapter]
… 24. But [אך, ’ahKh] they are made righteous [מצדקים, MooTsDahQeeYM] in his mercy [בחסדו, BeHahÇDO], in free [בחנם, BeHeeNahM], thanks [הודות, HODOTh] to redemption [לפדות, LahPeDOoTh] that is in anointed YayShOoah, 25. that the Gods put him to atone in his blood, atonement upon foundation [יסוד, YeÇOD] [of] belief. All this in order [כדי, KeDaY] to show [להראות, LeHahR’OTh] [את, ’ehTh] the righteousness of Gods in thus [בכך, BeKahKh]: that in array [of] his spirit he passed over [פסח, PahÇahH] upon sins of the past, 26. and to show [את, ’ehTh] his righteousness in time the this, that he is righteous, and makes righteous [את, ’ehTh] son [of] belief, YayShOoah.
“The apostle sees man as actually under righteous judgment because of his sin, and the righteous God, who has imposed that judgment … cannot will to reverse it unless the just demands of the law are met. A price must be paid; a penalty must be suffered; a sacrifice must be offered. One gets the impression from Jesus’ teachings that he thought of repentance as representing the satisfaction of the law, but Paul, who makes no theological use of the idea of repentance, undoubtedly finds in the life and death of Christ the indispensable atoning sacrifice. To be sure, it is God himself who in Christ Jesus provides the necessary sacrifice … there is no way within our human command of making such a fact logically consistent with itself … we are forgiven but God’s judgment upon sin is not compromised.” (Knox, 1954, TIB pp. IX 433-4344)
  1. And truly [ואמנם, Ve’ahMNahM] we discern [קובעים, QOB`eeYM] that the ’ahDahM is made righteous upon hands of belief; to not depend [תלות, ThahLOoTh] upon works of the Instruction.
  2. Or that what? He is Gods of the YeHOo-DeeYM in alone? Is not [האין, Hah’aYN] he also Gods of the nations? Yes, also Gods of the nations is he.
  3. That yes, Gods one is he, the maker righteous [את, ’ehTh] the circumcised [הנמולים, HahNeeMOoLeeYM] upon foundation of belief, and [את, ’ehTh] the uncircumcised [הערלים, Hah`ahRayLeeYM] upon hands of the belief.
  4. Are [האם, Hah’eeM] we nullifying [מבטלים, MeBahTLeeYM], consequently [אפוא, ’ahPhO’] [את, ’ehTh] the Instruction upon hands of the belief? Hush [חס, HahÇ] and no way! On the contrary [אדרבא, ’ahDRahBah’], we give validity [תקף, ThoQehPh] to Instruction.
“I have often differed much from that very leaned and judicious man [Dr. Taylor] … he cannot allow that the death of Christ should be considered as a price paid down for the salvation of man and I confess, I cannot understand the apostle in any other way… We must beware of antinomianism … supposing that because Christ has been obedient unto death, there is no necessity for our obedience to his righteous commandments.” (Clarke, 1831, p. VI 56)

2023.03.29 17:45 Excellent_Sink_1065 Have I just been through DT’s?!?

Pretty shocked if so as as I thought I had my drinking pretty much back under control compared to last time I detoxed from a bottle of Jack a night which gave me three days of insomnia terrible night sweats and confusion. Flash forwards two years later and drinking has crept back up to almost BUT not always every night and importantly sometimes, BUT far fewer times with black out drunk being end result.
Decided I wasn’t winning the game again and decided to cold turkey on Thursday. Had 1mg Xanax a day just to back me up or at least relax and laugh a little. Thursday fine. Friday even out in notorious bars and fine Saturday fine but dislocated toe in motorcycle accident, Sunday family dinner - normally trigger as wine etc but the alcohol free beer worked a treat and no cravings. As it came to the evening I developed a nasty fluid heavy cough - have had pneumonia twice due to living in developing nations for in poor air conditions for long periods whilst being asthmatic so pretty clear to how this goes.
Monday early morning really rough - awful cough, loads of fluid on lungs (wife familiar with checking) but serious confusion. Realise won’t be able to go in so follow absence procedure - phone and then email cover. Latter normally takes five minutes and took me about an hour. Total mess of twisting and turning all day.
Tuesday is a total horror show. No idea where I am or who I am. Manage to convince myself I’ve completed absence procedure but haven’t as nothing gets sent only reaches draft stage. Day of coughing up blood and being so out of it as to miss calls checking on me or even figure that they need responding to.
Today closer to Monday morning so I am successful with absence policy and send those apologies re-previous day. Out of it for another 6-8 hours then back together enough to call nhs 111 who want me to go to gp who can’t see me for a week yadayada.
Just wondering if anyone with expertise can point me in direction of DTs or not and right next steps to take? I’ve clearly massively messed up at work and am going to have to answer to that but A) in either case I’ve been genuinely seriously ill and done my best, and B) guilt helps no one and I want to be healthy and useful asap rather than mope around.
I’d really seriously appreciate sincere response here and thank you all in advance.
M: 36 110kg 6ft2 Drinks 5-7 days each week Moderate: 4-6 pints of lager Heavy: 750 of whiskey
Worst period in life (two years ago) over heavy amount every day for 6 months or so.
Tl;Dr kinda looks like dts but is after detoxing far less over far less time than a previous experience which did not involve any delirium. Possible?

2023.03.29 17:24 _Duality_ Build Guide for Blade Shift Rogue

Blade Shift Rogue (v1.0)
Want an alternative to the ubiquitous Twisting Blades build? Then this guide is for you!
This is a preliminary build guide based on my experience in the Beta and the knowledge I have gained from the mechanics and interactions I observed and the available items up to level 25 in Act 1. Obviously, this all may not be final once the game ships at launch. This article contains datamined information (so Spoilers!) which currently does not have all the details, stats, rolls, and numbers (like for Uniques and Paragon Boards) and thus is subject to change once more data becomes available, including items and other Aspects on launch.
So I play melee Rogue (always have, always will). My dream as a kid was to play an MA Assassin and make it work (but traps were just more powerful, I haven't had the time as an adult to try the Mosaic shenanigans in D2R). So in LE I play Flurry and Shadow Cascade Bladedancer, in GD I played a Belgothian Blademaster, and in D3 I tried to make Shenlong Generator Raiment work for some seasons.
Naturally in D4, I made a Cutthroat. While playing, it became obvious that Twisting Blades was OP, especially with the power that makes it orbit around you. It was a goddamn boss killer with Inner Sight, Shadow imbue, and buffs like Dark Shroud. Shadow Clone was the cherry on top. Twisting Blades didn't really make me want to pursue it further given how slow I felt it played; It felt like you gained some damage at the expense of flow, sustain, and survivability. It simply did not capture the playstyle and the archetype I have always adored.
Twisting Blades, while powerful especially with the Aspect, did not really captivate me as mentioned. It felt relatively squishy, slow, and had little sustain.
My build is centered around ultra-fast close attacks with Blade Shift with Combo Point activation through Flurry, Vulnerability, Crit, Crowd Control (CC), Stuns and Traps, Lucky Hit, Knock Downs, high mobility uptime, and tankiness. It uses no Ultimates. I fell in love. I was able to beat the Butcher solo without potions in a minute and Ashava's haymakers dealt less than half of my HP Bar.
Mobility is highly valuable in this game in order to avoid projectiles, evade boss haymakers, ground effects, and other such hazards.
A. Active Skills
1) Blade Shift - 7 points
Blade Shift here is more of a personal choice since it is faster than Invigorating Strike and Puncture, the latter of which I do not like since it does not really fit in my style of being melee. Depending on the attack speed ceiling, if any, I am sticking to Blade Shift for now. For now, I am ignoring any animation-canceling mechanics since I surmise they will be addressed. Can you substitute them for Blade Shift? Absolutely! Here are some considerations:
Blade Shift
While the fastest, it understandably has the lowest Lucky Hit chance which I will try to improve with geastats. I adore Blade Shift because of the nodes that add up to 20% movement speed and the damage reduction (DR) node that might come in handy in endgame. I have other sources of Daze so I skipped the other node.
Invigorating Strike
This might be my main damaging ability in endgame actually if attack speed breakpoints will mean the innate difference between Blade Shift and Invigorating Strike becomes meaningless. I will have to see. The trade-off will be that you lose the movement speed and DR of Blade Shift.
I am excited for Invigorating Strike not because of the energy regen but the increased Lucky Hit chance node. I really plan to abuse Lucky Hits come launch.
Puncture
It is thematically unappealing for me so I did not build around it. But the node that provides guaranteed Vulnerability will be very appealing to many so you can replace the build with this.
2) Flurry - 3 points
Flurry here might be a "core" skill but in this build, it is simply for utility. It activates the Combo Points specialization for 45% attack speed. The second node gives massive sustain when enemies are affected by Caltrops and Grenades. Evading (which will be expounded on later) will make the next Flurry stun, and believe me, you will have high stun uptime.
Simply activate Combo Points and whack away. Depending on the situation, you can use Flurry 3-4 times in quick succession first to proc the Haste passive for more attack speed when below 50% energy. Flurry also activates the Accelerating Aspect which grants additional attack speed and consistently procs due to how many hits Flurry does.
3) Shadow Step - 3 points
This is a very useful skill when you need to extricate yourself from nasty situations and times when you get stunned or held down—its Unstoppable effect lets you break out of CC even stuff like the Blood Bishop's grab. The nodes increase your crit chance on key targets and reduce cooldown for added mobility. The other node that stuns is not necessary since you have stuns with Flurry and Grenades but may be valuable early game. I use the Ravager's Aspect on boots for the additional charge.
4) Caltrops - 3 points
I love this skill. It slows, increases your damage, and increases your crit chance (double additional chance if Vulnerable) and helps proc Vulnerable with the Blast-Trapper's Aspect. Blast-Trapper's Aspect is my source of Vulnerability and is suitable for me over Puncture given my experienced proc rate.
5) Dash - 3 points
Another mobility and damage amplification skill, Dash helps you position well, increases your crit damage, and is a source of Daze aside from Smoke Bomb. Early on, you might be able to obtain the Aspect of the Quickening Fog which drops a Smoke Bomb at the end of Dash. If you get this, you can shift around some points due to the free skill slot on the bar for Smoke Bomb, and replace it with Dark Shroud for the added 10% Crit Chance. Due to your mobility and high dodge, you can sustain at least two shadows.
6) Smoke Bomb - 2 points
I just use this for added CC through Daze and the node amplifies your damage by 15%. It can proc off of Quickening Cloud as discussed and frees up a slot. It's a great source to Daze enemies and procs the Trick Attacks and Concussive passives for more crit and CC.
That's it. No imbues, no ultimates. You're just this agile killer with no prohibitive cooldowns.
B. Passive Skills (the following are generally maxed out, unmentioned passives mean they were simply selected to unlock another passive)
These passives are self-explanatory.
1) Siphoning Strikes in conjunction with Enhanced Flurry means that I am going to sustain a lot. Since they work on a percentage basis, I plan to increase my max health and health% as much as I can.
2) Sturdy is good for close-range DR since I plan to go close-range exclusively. Agile increases your dodge chance by 9% for every cooldown used. With Shadow Step, Caltrops, Dash, and Smoke Bomb (with two charges on the first three even), you will greatly benefit from Agile and will in turn benefit Dark Shroud should you take it with our without Smoke Bomb or Quickening Fog.
3) Weapon Mastery, Exploit, and Malice are straight-up damage buffs so I just had to get them.
4) Trick Attacks and Concussive knock down crit'd dazed enemies for added CC and crit chance.
5) Second Wind allows me to have a higher Lucky Hit chance after spamming some Flurries which is good. Haste provides me with additional attack speed below 50% energy and synergizes with Second Wind.
6) Momentum is my Key Passive since it is what fits with my build. 20% DR, 30% energy regen, and more movement speed? Yes, please.
7) Lastly, I am saving 4 points for Deadly Venom and Alchemical Advantage. But you can see that I have no Poison Trap or Poison Imbue. This is for a Unique: Andariel's Visage.
It gives all stats, attack speed, sustain, and poison res. The stats are incredibly juicy. But look at its power: Lucky Hit: Up to a X% chance to trigger a poison nova that applies Y Poisoning damage over Z seconds to enemies in the area. If poison nova procs, this will add 3% to 45% attack speed. Brutal.
You can shift around some points depending on your Paragon path and gear rolls to get stuff like Rugged and Reactive Defense to protect against DoTs and CC'd damage.
I have thirteen (13) Aspects/Powers selected as you can see in the planner. I know there are only eleven (11) gear slots. The disparity is because two come from Uniques, which I think as it stands, are Best-in-Slot for me. I will simply replace one or two Aspects (on my helm and dagger) once I get the Uniques. Aspects may be moved around if they are offensive or defensive but I locked in my Crossbow and Amulet Aspects below.
1) Andariel's Visage has been discussed earlier under passives, especially its interaction with Alchemical Advantage.
2) Asheara's Khanjar will definitely be my hunt item every time I build this/Season. "Hits with this weapon increase your Attack Speed by X% for Y seconds, up to Z." I will be oozing dopamine if I get this. The dagger also provides damage to CC'd enemies and Basic Skill damage. Definitely BiS.
3) Accelerating Aspect is what I will put on my Amulet for the 50% bonus; it grants attack speed when Flurry crits.
4) Aspect of Retribution stuns distant enemies which is nifty but its main power comes from the increased damage to stunned enemies: and you will be stunning a lot with Flurry and Aspect of Surprise.
5) Aspect of Surprise leaves behind stun grenades when you Evade and Shadow step, which stuns a lot of enemies and synergizes with the boot implicit that reduces evade cooldown by 0.5 (can be higher with blacksmith upgrades) for every attack. And you will be attacking very fast with this build. Evade cooldown will be 0 almost always making you survivable and a grenade machine if ever. You heard of it here first.
6) Blast-Trapper's Aspect is my main source of Vulnerable. While under the effect of your Caltrops and Grenades (Aspect of Explosive Verve for the latter), and with your fast attack speed, you always make enemies Vulnerable. If you want mass Vulnerability more than you want stuns, since you stun with your Grenades anyway, you can select Improved Flurry to spread it.
7) Rapid Aspect is my main Aspect so I will place it on my Crossbow. It increases Basic Skill attack speed by a ton.
8) Vengeful Aspect with Blast-Trapper's Aspect increases your crit chance.
9) Aspect of Disobedience increases your Armor for every form of damage that you deal, with your multitude of hits, grenade pops, and Flurry strikes, you will rack up bonus Armor.
10) Aspect of Might provides 25% DR for Basic Skill use. This will have permanent uptime.
11) Aspect of Explosive Verve applies to your Grenades and makes them count as traps for increased Vulnerability chances and synergy elsewhere like Deadly Ambush in the Paragon Board.
12) Aspect of Quickening Fog, as explained earlier, drops a free Smoke Grenade and can free up a skill slot on the Bar for something like Dark Shroud.
13) Ravager's Aspect is excellent for that second charge on Shadow Step for extra mobility (and PvP?).
Here, I will simply focus on rolls and item bases since I have no idea what endgame gearing will be like completely, especially what Lucky Hit can proc (the beta's execute is uninteresting for me).
I plan to get Asheara's Khanjar for one dagger and Andariel's Visage for my helm. Cowl of the Nameless (You gain X% increased Lucky Hit Chance against Crowd Controlled enemies) or the classic Harlequin Crest (Gain X% Damage Reduction. In addition, gain Y Ranks to all Skills) are excellent choices as well for the helm. Depending on attack speed breakpoints and ceilings, I will determine by endgame what helm I will hunt for.
For my 2-hander, a crossbow (Vulnerable damage implicit) with Basic Skill damage and socketed Topazes for more Basic Skill damage is preferred. Daggers (higher base attack speed and close-range damage) with the same attributes and gems are preferred. Other rolls can be stuff like close damage, vulnerable damage, damage to CC'd, and crit damage. Min-maxing in endgame would depend on what damage roll provides more.
For my amulet and boots, I got movement speed to cap off 125%. This will get higher with skills and effects. I socketed a Diamond for my amulet but this can be swapped out for whatever is lacking.
Always get the boots with the implicit that reduces evade cooldown per attack. This ensures you have perma-grenades with your high attack speed and can evade whenever you want.
For rings and gloves, get as high crit chance as you can. Lucky hit chance and other damage rolls are good. I socketed sapphires for the cold res which I lacked. The beta attack speed rolls were low, so I will see if I need to roll them in the endgame.
For the other slots, I tried to get whatever health roll I could to increase the effect of my percentage healing. Then I got resistances and DR. Socket every armor item with rubies for more health.
As for what stats to prioritize, I do not know at this point since we have to see what stats will be like in endgame. Int is good for the crit chance, Dex is good for dodge, and Willpower is nice for healing. Strength is useful for armor.
In the Paragon Boards in the linked planner, you will see that I am only a level 87 Rogue. I still have 55 points left to allocate. This is still a question to be answered once we get more datamined information. The tiles do not contain any deeper information. I am really curious about what the Rare tiles will provide. But I made a sample mock-up of my envisioned path— I beelined into Cunning Stratagem, Exploit Weakness, Deadly Ambush, and Cheap Shot.
1) Cunning Stratagem will amplify the attack speed bonus off of Flurry's Combo points. Here, I also took tiles labled Fundamentals and had Basic Skills buffs.
2) Exploit Weakness increases the damage done to Vulnerable targets.
3) Deadly Ambush increases the damage done to those affected by your Caltrops and Grenades.
4) Lastly, Cheap Shot is good because it increases your damage for each nearby CC'd enemy which will be most if not all of them. I took this last because it has the least utility to singular bosses.
The build plays simply. Depending on your set up if you have Quickening Fog or replaced a skill, pre-cast Dark Shroud.
Once you approach a pack, elite, or boss, identify your killzone. Drop Caltrops to slow and increase crit chance, Dash back in for crit damage and daze (with or without the free dazing Smoke Bomb), Shadow Step your main target for added crit chance, Flurry to proc Accelerating Aspect and Vulnerability, cast Flurry more if need be to proc Haste, then whack away with Blade Shift. Feel free to throw in a Smoke Bomb to amplify damage as the need arises. I usually do this once the daze of Dash wears off or if the other Smoke Bomb off of dash wears off. While whacking away, evade when necessary to drop grenades to stun enemies. Your next Flurry will stun because you evaded.
All in all, I envisioned a build and playstyle and made it work. I got most of the Aspects I wanted due to the beta drop buff and it plays amazingly.
I didn't farm items first to dictate my build. I decided what playstyle/skills I wanted and looked for items that supported it. If I just used every multiplier legendary I found, it would have been wonky as hell and awkward to play. My main damaging skill does not even have a dedicated damage multiplier Aspect.
Will I suffer damage-wise if I don't adopt the top-down "intended" build Blizz made (whatever that is)? Possibly. But I am tanky, have loads of CC, and I am mobile as hell and ultimately, I am having fun. See you all in Hell.
