2023.03.22 07:47 momotime123 Website Contribution Opportunity - The Biology Breakdown!
For BioChem students!
Hi everyone!
My friend and I have launched a website which aims to simplify and summarise published Biology/Biochem research papers for people that have a weaker background in the subject. You can check it out
here. We're looking for volunteers to write for the website - if you're interested, please feel free to fill the contact form, email us at [
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected]) or reply on this thread!
Just an FYI, we have two options for people who are interested:
- You can be a permanent member: this will get you a mention and picture on the “our team” section of the website. to be a permanent member you need to consistently send in an article every 10-12 days (because we also need time to approve your work). This will provide significant value to your resumes/CVs/college apps.
- You can be a guest writer: here you can give articles whenever you want as inconsistently, but you won’t be a part of the official team, only your name will be at be bottom of the articles you write. Also remember that this option won’t really get you as much CV credit.

2023.03.22 07:47 tutuseris What's a depressed person to do for the rest of his life?
Hi everyone, I'm 30 years old, I've been on and off meds, in and out of therapy for more then a decade. All these while I have been working full time as I didn't come from a very privileged background,( I have some peers haunted by similar afflictions who can afford not to work for a year or more). Although things have gotten better for me over the years, I still face challenges. The problems I struggle with as a working adult is usually attendance related, late coming; or MCs, ALs when my mood dips and it is difficult for me to get out of bed. (I don't exceed my leaves or MCs in a year of course). And when I do usually miss work it is of course unplanned. And people do know that I do my work just that sometimes I'm not around. There just isn't much flexible arrangements that can be made to adjust hours even if I ask for less renumeration in the industry I work in. Here are my questions:
- Does anyone has any suggestions what kind of job would be suitable for me ?
- Is it common for people to be reprimanded over high MCs and leaves (Thought it was something employees are entitled to?

2023.03.22 07:47 Zunthus (ESPR part 2) Frozen Corridors event discussion (MAJOR spoilers up to ch 9.5)
I'll rant before I proceed to the questions as usual lol
Regina and Edel moments in these events, especially the last part was, *chef's kiss* lol
Rivet put it exactly:
this is why i love the trio lol Luna is also very interesting in the aspect that she's a shadow, a C.O., and yet doesn't crave for bloodlust/eating humans, but she also isn't the nicest person like Lyudmila too (although I'm pretty sure if she wasn't under Maestra she seems kind and playful enough) I really wonder about her backstory on how she became the Trumpeter of Elysium
It's really great on the world building that not all good C.O.s/shadows are always on our side, there are beings like Luna as well, she really doesn't want to fight - it's even mentioned in her skill description lol
Shena and Carmen kept mentioning as well that Maestra changed alot (pretty sure it's due to Revenant in her), or else should would have been alot lot MORE ruthless and coldblooded
Can't have enough of Elizabeth and Horizon roasting each other lol Really great episode and felt like it's Avengers assembled moment again (wasn't anticipating it because I felt like they just did it not too long ago in the Carnival event) although this is very welcome, and pretty much is like a direct sequel to the Carnival event but tied in with other sidestories&main ones
Felt so good for being able to read this lol
https://preview.redd.it/mz6ni8gej8pa1.png?width=559&format=png&auto=webp&s=968ed29d16fd964b123fae5e165c084e44b1b398
Questions:
- Is the MacCready estate in the counterside? Why would Regina's lost ice powers turned into the monster "Chaser" otherwise? Since the story explained that the Counterside effects could manifest in whatever the living being inside is?
- what's this "Ritual" that Edel's preparing for Regina? (the one she had the Elysium group help "perform") The one that takes place at the factory in the middle of the sea (in which I understood as it was where Prwyden institute held a large fraction of the Lake of Knowledge that we saw Eliz&Roy's CG looking at it)
- i understood that this "Ritual" that Edel prepared for Regina failed? or at least wasn't used..? (as in she didn't partake in it, since she went back home and got new awakened powers herself, or is all of this some kind of Edel's plans? But she doesn't seem to know how Regina is about to threat her with suiciding)
- what was the intro/first scene where we first got to use A.Regina? Is this her performing the procedures to become the President back at her home or was this the part where she came back after awakening and is going to confront Edel after her escape
- So Regina died (or is very near of death) back when Harab was controling her back in the strega/A.Yuna's event right?
- the 666 people that sacrificed for Regina, were they there because they want to give back Regina's kindness to them during her VP times, or was it Edel's command as the acting president, or a mix of both?
- I don't get the law stuff, but why did the Dean of Law let Regina go at the estate? I know she had a grudge because her younger sister was sacrificed, but she too was willing to give Regina a chance to change the Society?
- Regina did really write a letter to contain herself right? Knowing that she'll likely forget/supress memories again? (she was really devastated about the meeting it spurred many events after that huh....)
- In the end, what factors made it possible for the "awakened" version of Regina? The ritual she performed back in her house, her bloodline being super powerful from the start, her resolve? (usually in other events they got a powerful artifact, tech level 5 gear, or activated/gain control of the qliphoth factors, etc - what was Regina's?)
- And why did somehow in the process her emotions were "frozen"? (how? magic/ritual stuff?)
- I'm quite confused on Agnes's stance in all of this, so she's secretly trying to get rid of the Society? or have some kind of grudge? or she just wants it to change to a bettemore less people sacrificing like Regina?
- Is Sylkie's personality really her original self or the version Regina "imagined" Slykie would be?
- Did A.Regina acquire the Lake of Knowledge in the end? or just a big part of it?
- I wonder where's A.Regina when the Qliphoth game began and after it started for a while, I remembered in ch9 and/or 9.5 Edel was with Serapel aiding the Knights of Redemption (or was that the period she's still recovering?) and her role in ep10 (if she does appear)
- When Edel and Maestra mentioned "thorn" does that mean Revenant? (this implies alot that she's still alive, but inside Maestra) and looks like at the end of this event Maestra already decided on getting rid of Revenant..(can't wait for Carnival part 2.......!!! Also awakened Chris lol!!!!)
- does the artifact that is in Curian have something to do with the Elysium? since Shena mentioned it and seemed pretty shock about it when she saw Curian
- So...like, seeing how G.A.P. bird aiding Regina so much, A.Regina, the current president is at least on our side....right? at least on the part to contain/limit Edel's movement...somehow..? (I'm confused on what we/the CEO gains from this whole event, other than spying in the movements of Society)
- Edel's obviously heads over heals for Regina, but what do you think of how Regina viewed Edel? I'm still kinda both happy and confused about this lol
awakened Regina : from sub to dom
A very long event, 7 chapters to read, had so much fun with this! (I read for like 4-5 hours, gradually, I'm a slow reader - enjoyed every single of its moment!)
I really wonder who are the characters with potential for being awakened units next...(after A.Lyudmila)
Last but not the least, playable Heydrich when?

2023.03.22 07:47 matthewlevins The Exodus Effect Reviews 2023 (Scam or Legit?) Real Customer Truth Exposed!
The Exodus Effect is a systematic guide that allows Christians and non-Christians to create their healing oil using natural ingredients. It is 100% stimulant-free and non-addictive. The active ingredients are linked to longevity and well-being.
Historical and religious books document ancient remedies for longevity and good health. Various pieces of research show that the human lifespan is decreasing with time. Similarly, there has been an increase in ailments that may not have existed a few centuries back.
Professionals across various fields blame pollution, stress, chemicals, a sedentary lifestyle, and unhealthy food choices as the root of health issues. In the past, communities depended on natural herbs, plants, minerals, and vitamins to boost their defense system and fight infections.
The Bible is among the oldest religious books. It has been translated into hundreds of languages. However, the translation has supposedly led to some words getting different meanings. The Exodus Effect is a bible-based wellness program comprising God-approved ingredients lost during translation.
About the Product: What is the Exodus Effect?
Anointing oil is a common ingredient in most religious ceremonies. The Exodus Effect is a religion-based anointing oil containing natural and science-based ingredients to diminish pain, improve immunity, and strengthen faith.
The Exodus Effect is a systematic guide that allows Christians and non-Christians to create their healing oil using natural ingredients. It is 100% stimulant-free and non-addictive. The active ingredients are linked to longevity and well-being.
Per Exodus Effect creators, notable biblical figures such as Methuselah, Adam, and Ibrahim, among others, purportedly used the anointing oil daily. However, bible translation to various languages led to the loss of the "key" ingredient in the anointing oil.
Pastor Andrew and Dr. Benet, both of Divine Origins LLC, claim that multiple scientific and biblical evidence proves that CBD oil can enhance physical, mental, and spiritual health. According to the developers, Kaneh-Bosem originally referred to the cannabis plant. However, wrongful bible translation gave it a new meaning, "Calamus," which refers to an herb with minimal health benefits.
Exodus 30:22 supposedly lists the benefits of the original anointing oil created by God. The cannabis plant in the Bible created health-improving anointing oil that can:
- Diminish chronic pain in the muscles, joints, and body
- Strengthen the immunity
- Improve blood flow
- Support digestion
- Fortify faith in God
- Combat sleep issues
Still, the Exodus Effect creators claim that biblical cannabis had zero THC elements and did not give users any side effects.
How Does the Exodus Effect Work?
Pastor Andrew warns that most Christians may disagree with using the cannabis plant for medicinal purposes. Today, marijuana is associated with causing mental issues and giving users nasty side effects with long-term usage.
The Exodus Effect comprises pure CBD oil from high-quality hemp. In combination with other natural extracts, the Exodus Effect rapidly absorbs into the system to provide users with significant health benefits. The guide provides information on how to prepare THC-free CBD locally.
Dr. Benet explains that the Exodus Effect improves and strengthens the endocannabinoid system. It improves various processes, including digestion, the circulatory, and respiration. It also targets pain and quickly erases it from the root. Similarly, CBD can inhibit the overproduction of cortisol, enabling the body to manage anxiety naturally. In addition, it reduces stress levels and minimizes oxidative damage at cellular levels. It can heighten immunity and lower unhealthy inflammations.
Key Exodus Effect Ingredients
The makers of the Exodus Effect claim that you can replicate the original bible-based anointing oil using cinnamon, cannabis, myrrh, cassia, and olive oil. The step-by-step guide supposedly explains how anyone can create THC-free CBD oil in the comfort of their home. However, the dosage should be potent and fresh to provide consumers with the advertised health benefits.
Cannabis The human endocannabinoid system (ECS) depends on natural cannabinoid molecules to function optimally. Per various kinds of research, toxicity, unhealthy diet, and use of certain chemicals can lower cannabinoid levels, thus weakening the ECS. Cannabis comprises CBD elements that provide the body with cannabinoids, thus boosting its functions.
Dr. Benet explains that CBD oil can alleviate pain, particularly in the muscles, back, and joints. In certain dosages, it may combat chronic headaches and migraines. Additionally, pyre CBD oil is a crucial ingredient in managing stress symptoms. Considerable evidence shows that it can promote relaxation and alleviate anxiety. The Exodus Effect makers claim that it may combat insomnia and aid users in improving their sleep quality.
Myrrh Myrrh is among the most used biblical herb and a common ingredient in anointing oils. The Exodus Effect makers claim that the herb can treat indigestion, leprosy, arthritis, and gout, among other common ailments. According to science, myrrh is a powerful antioxidant that can improve cellular health and fortify the disease-fighting system. Similarly, myrrh may reduce the risk of various health issues, including cardiac problems and diabetes.
Cassia Cassia is a plant extract that can boost muscular health and improve blood flow. Scholars claim that it can benefit the blood vessels and minimize the risk of developing hypertension. Additionally, it can lower LDL (bad cholesterol) and fat storage around the arteries.
Some studies indicate that cassia may aid in stabilizing blood sugar levels. It purportedly reduces insulin resistance and may surge fat metabolism.
Cinnamon Most households use cinnamon to add flavor to their food. The sweet-smelling ingredient is a detoxifying agent that can lower toxin levels in the blood. Additionally, it can combat free radicals aiding in cell regeneration.
Multiple evidence shows that cinnamon can support weight loss and intensify energy levels. It may increase respiration rates, improve digestion, and curb appetite.

2023.03.22 07:44 Califlows17 Unpaid wages and incorrect w2
I worked for an employer for a month and two weeks (3 paychecks) late last year but wasn’t compensated fully. I was paid bi weekly. The w2 sent to me to file my taxes this year only had the first two weeks pay on it (first paycheck.) It’s missing the second and third payments. I contacted the irs who sent a letter to my previous employer asking for a corrected w2 but my employer resent the letter saying everything was correct. The amount of money owed to me is about $2000. I’ll have to file a form 4852 which will act as a w2 substitute then file an amended tax return somewhere down the line this year or next. I also tried getting what’s owed to me a couple times over the phone unsuccessfully. I would get hang up on or get told they’ll look into it only to not hear from them until I called back weeks later. The last time I was in contact with them, I said I was tired of having to make such phone calls to get what is rightfully mine and the next phone call was to my lawyer. The response was “call your lawyer”. The phone got disconnected after. What should I do?

2023.03.22 07:43 WordHistorical5556 New to the PM role, looking to learn the essential skills.
Hi. I have recently started working as a product lead at an early stage startup. I have zero product management background, and I have zero programming knowledge (my previous experience is from consulting). I got this role because I had relevant industry experience and a passion for helping the founder make the product better, the current state of the product is not very good and I am responsible for conducting a through analysis and redesign of the UI. I have a few skills such as attention to detail, a vision for what the user wants, and problem solving skills. I want to do some courses that will: 1. Help me manage the UI redesign well. In my current role I am both the product owner and the scrum master (~3-4 devs). I am currently figuring out how to use Jira to better manage the work. 2. Help me gain some confidence and get rid of the imposter syndrome, although in my current role, I am a bit of an imposter. Please note that my company will not reimburse for any courses, so please suggest free/100-200$ courses. Thanks a lot!

2023.03.22 07:40 bbyfog UK’s HRA and MHRA Plans to Develop Joint Guidance for Increasing Diversity in Clinical Research
Health Research Authority (HRA) – a part of UK’s
National Health Service – regulates health and social care research (clinical research) by
Making sure that research is ethically reviewed and approved
Promoting transparency in research
Overseeing a range of committees and services
Standardizing research regulatory practice and
Providing independent recommendations on the processing of identifiable patient information where it is not always practical to obtain consent, for research and non-research projects
As part of standardizing clinical research practices, NHS publishes
Best Practice documents and guidance documents that cover a range of activities covering ICH-GCP such as informed consent, investigator training, publication of research summary (required within 12 months of trial completion); tools for study documentations, costing tool; investigator CV template. (
here)
NHS/HRA and UK-MHRA DIVERSITY GUIDANCE But one thing missing from the resources available at NHS/HRA is guidance on increasing
diversity in clinical studies, but this is being addressed. Currently,
HRA and the Medicine and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) are jointly
working to develop guidance to help researchers increase diversity in clinical trials.
The HRA website meanwhile lists several resources to help address lack of diversity. A few of these
sites that have actionable advice are:
- UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) website lists 6 themes accompanied by tools and resources addressing each (here or here). Suggestions include:
Embed equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) during all planning activities; include diversity in research design
Understand and adapt to local context such as barriers and access to opportunities for underserved communities
Use diverse channels including non-English media
- For Equity has an inventory of guides and tools with a generic focus on health equity research, including study designs and methods (e.g. systematic reviews, randomized control trials). The search page (here) provides links to published guidance or peer-reviewed research on following attributes:
Socio-economic, gendesex, race/ethnicity, disability, intersectional, age, religion, sexual orientation, place of residence, education, and social class
Refer to ethnicity not race
Use "ethnic minorities" for all groups except white British group
Use "people from a black Caribbean background". "the black ethnic group", and "black people" NOT "Blacks. Use "people from the Indian ethnic group" NOT "Indian people"
Use "people with a mixed ethnic background" or "people from the mixed ethnic group" NOT "mixed people"
DO NOT use the terms BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic) or BME (black and minority ethnic), because these terms mask disparities between groups and exclude other minorities
FDA DIVERSITY GUIDANCE DOCUMENTS FDA is ahead of HRA/MHRA and published 2 guidance documents on the topic.

2023.03.22 07:39 SpecialSufficient248 Love at first sight
Me 20M Met a girl at work 20F. We had an instant connection, texted for days, she came over and stayed over for three days unplanned and it was like I knew this girl my whole life. I didn’t believe in love at first sight but this was a mutually intoxicating experience she also has confirmed she felt. Loads of sex, cooking for each other, talking about life for literally three whole days non stop.
She texted me that we might be moving too fast and that we should stop. I was hurt real bad but let it go as best I could and gave her space, didn’t wanna be that guy.
Fast forward about 2.5 weeks. Went to go see a psychic on a hunch, and gave no background. The psychic said we had a connection that won’t come back around for a long time, and that we both have a sense of longing for each other and that I need to reach out instead of just letting it die completely. Normally don’t listen to hocus pocus shit but it was too spot on for me to just ignore. I texted her, she responded as soon as she woke up and told me what we had was special and genuine but she was overwhelmed by her feelings, having family problems etc, and she needed to take a step back to get her mind right, but doesn’t want me to exit her life. I’m respecting the space but I don’t wanna necessarily wait for the girl even tho I have a gut feeling this isn’t over. I told her I didn’t reach out to win her back, but just to let her know I don’t hate her and understand feeling overwhelmed by life, even tho I wasn’t aware of the family issues. She doesn’t strike me as the type of chick to just lie about that kind of thing but I’m aware there’s always a possibility, but I can’t just let this go, no matter how hard I wanna just say “f*** that b**** there will be others” because I’ve never had an interaction that felt so real so fast, and she agrees. Saw her at work today and it was almost like she was nervous to talk to me, but I went ahead and initiated a little playful dialogue, and she reciprocated.
I’m still focusing on my goals, doing me, not chasing or being clingy. I was thinking about asking her to get dinner next week and see where shit goes without providing any agenda. Am I wasting my time even tho I feel like this girl is special? I have experience with many women and know when they’re just making excuses, but this just feels really different, yall let me know.
TDLR: I think I’m in love, but don’t know if I should let it die or nurture it until it sprouts.

2023.03.22 07:37 puzzled4798 my partner was admitted to inpatient bc of depression
I feel a mess of emotions. Relieved, worried, sad, lonely, scared, hopeful. We have dogs, cats and a whole farm to care for. The kids who volunteer keep coming to me with questions, and it just makes my heart ache. He does so much for everyone here, but he's been struggling for so long and his attempts to get help elsewhere were in vain. This week we have had a lot of tough conversations and so many stressors, I'm glad he was able to recognize what needed to be done to save our relationship, our farm, and his own life. It is not the same without him though I am relieved to know he is finally getting the care that he so desperately needs. I am thankful I have a decent support system, friends, coworkers, the volunteers here. Today one of our dogs got loose while someone was riding a horse in the ring (and this dog is notorious for trying to chase them while working, which is horribly dangerous for everyone) and I was in tears running around trying to catch him. Two girls helped me lure him with treats and get him back inside (because of course he just learned how to jump the 4ft fence, of course!) and I cannot stop thinking about how grateful I am for that. I thank god for bringing us here, for these animals, for the people i can lean on. I'm writing him letters to keep him updated, and so he doesn't have to miss out on all the crazy farm antics. Tomorrow is a new day and I pray for his healing.

2023.03.22 07:37 silaschw Something that's been bothering me
This application season has been confusing for me; I don't know what I want, I just want to get away from my current environment; I applied to many schools, including ethz, epfl, ki, and so on, but also received many rejection letters; my vanity has been affecting me; vanity is driving me to apply for a higher QS ranking school (higher than undergraduate Tsinghua University), but I seem to be lost in it. Once I can't apply to such a high-ranking school, I will be so painful that I will have a nervous breakdown and can't rest normally. What do you think the significance of studying abroad is that it is an opportunity to experience a different environment? Or do you want to study somewhere more specialized? Or go to a higher ranked school to improve your background.
Thx for all of u and good luck

For background, my bf n I have been together for only 3 months, but we’ve know each other for almost a year now. My relationship with him is the most healthiest n best relationship I’ve ever been in. He’s so understanding and passionate. I’ve never found myself adoring someone so much n that feeling be requited. I know I’m falling in love with him, but have I fallen? I genuinely care so much about him and adore him to death. I have never been in a good, loving relationship, so I cannot tell if I love him. I have a strong sense of love for my boyfriend, but I am scared. I don’t want our relationship to end, and I do not want to love bomb him; he’s too good for me. I find myself being scared to fuck up, to be imperfect around him. I don’t want to display a bad image of himself to him. He’s so perfect.

2023.03.22 07:33 helpinghands777 Can You Change Someone’s Power of Attorney [Very Urgent, 8 Hours to Figure Out]
Patient is in a coma - Legally still married, but has been separated for 2 years and is in the process of divorcing. Divorce is due to extreme emotional and verbal abuse. Very limited documentation on the abuse, too little time to gather the documentation that could be considered concrete evidence. Patient has stated in the past who they wish to make decisions, which we have numerous witnesses to corroborate, but never officially appointed them as their POA or documented this. The only evidence we have is a journal where they wrote letters about the abuse in great detail and described how they felt and that they knew that their partner did not care about their health or preservation.
Meeting with social workers/lawyers in the morning - Deleting soon for privacy.
Do we have any chance? Is it enough? Is there anything else we could do or should say? Please - this is hard enough. We cannot allow this person to make decisions that are not in the patient’s best interest.

2023.03.22 07:31 Resumesolution Professional Resume Writing Best Resume Writers
Introduction to resume writing Most job seekers find themselves in a situation where they've taken on too many projects, and as a result, their resumes are in need of a serious update. If you're in this boat, you're not alone. A recent survey of 1,000 job seekers found that 58% have not updated their resume in the past year, and 21% have not updated their resume in the past three years.
If it's been a while since you've updated your resume, don't fret. We're here to help. In this post, we'll show you how to write a resume that will get you noticed by employers and help you land the job you want.
First things first: let's define a resume. A resume is a document that outlines your work experience, skills, and educational background. It's typically used when applying for jobs, and it's the first thing employers look at when considering candidates.
There are different types of resumes, but the most common is the chronological resume. This type of resume lists your work experience in reverse chronological order, starting with your most recent job. It's the most common type of resume because it's easy to read and it gives employers a clear idea of your work history.
If you're not sure how to get started, take a look at our chronological resume template. This template will help you structure your resume and make sure you include all the important information employers are looking for.
Once you have a template you like, it's time to start filling it in. Here's what you need to include in your resume:
Contact information: Include your name, email address, and phone number.
Professional summary: A brief summary of your skills and experience.
Work history: A list of your previous jobs, including the job title, company name, dates of employment, and a brief description of your duties.
Skills: A list of your skills, including both hard and soft skills.
Education: A list of your educational qualifications, including the name of the institution, the type of degree, and the graduation date.
Optional sections: You can also include additional sections in your resume, such as volunteer
II. The importance of a well-written resume There's no question that a well-written resume is important. After all, your resume is often the first impression you make on a potential employer. But what exactly makes a resume well-written? Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
- Keep it concise. A resume should be a snapshot of your most relevant experience and skills. There's no need to include every job you've ever had or every skill you've ever acquired. Just include the information that's most relevant to the job you're applying for.
- Use action words. A good resume is full of powerful, action-oriented language. Avoid weak words like "helped" or " oversaw." Instead, use words like "developed," "created," or "achieved."
- Highlight your accomplishments. Your resume should highlight your successes and accomplishments. Include specific numbers and details to illustrate the impact you've made in your previous roles.
- Tailor your resume. Every resume should be tailored to the specific job you're applying for. Don't just send out the same generic resume to every employer. Take the time to customize your resume for each job to increase your chances of getting called for an interview.
- proofread. Always proofread your resume before sending it out. A single typo could be enough to eliminate you from consideration. Use spell check and have a friend or family member take a look as well.
Following these tips will help ensure that your resume is well-written and stands out from the competition. Investing the time to craft a strong resume will pay off in the long run as you land the job you really want.
III. The benefits of using a professional resume writer There are many reasons to use a professional resume writer. A

A professional resume writer can also help you:
- Understand what employers are looking for
- Write a custom resume that highlights your unique skills and experience
- Land a job
If you're looking for a job, a professional resume writer can help you create a custom resume that will get you noticed by employers.
IV. How to choose the right resume writer for you If you're on the job market, the chances are that you'll need to enlist the help of a professional resume writer at some point. But with so many resume writing services out there, how do you know which one to choose?
Here are some things to keep in mind when selecting a resume writer:
- Make sure the resume writer is experienced and certified.
The best resume writers will have extensive experience and training in the field of resume writing. They should also be certified by a reputable organization, such as the National Resume Writers' Association.
- Ask for samples.
When you're considering a resume writer, be sure to ask for samples of their work. This will give you a good idea of their writing style and the quality of their work.
- Find out what their process is.
A good resume writer will have a process in place to ensure that your resume is of the highest quality. They should start with a consultation to get to know you and your career goals, and then they'll create a draft of your resume. Once the draft is complete, they'll work with you to make any necessary revisions.
- Get a sense of their personality.
You'll be working closely with your resume writer, so it's important that you feel comfortable with them. During your consultation, pay attention to their communication style and see if it's a good fit for you.
- Make sure they offer a satisfaction guarantee.
Any reputable resume writer will offer some sort of satisfaction guarantee. This ensures that you're happy with the final product and that any revisions you need will be made.
Choosing the right resume writer for you is an important decision. But if you keep these things in mind, you'll be sure to find a great writer who can help you land the job you want.
V. The top mistakes people make when writing their own resumes When it comes to writing your own resume, there are a few common mistakes that people tend to make. Here are the top five mistakes to avoid when writing your resume:
- Not Tailoring Your Resume to the Job
When you’re applying for a job, it’s important to tailor your resume to the specific position you’re interested in. Generic resumes that don’t focus on any particular job are less likely to get noticed by employers. Take the time to customize your resume for each job you apply for, and you’ll increase your chances of getting an interview.
- including Irrelevant Information
Your resume should be focused on your most relevant work experience and skills. There’s no need to include information that’s not directly related to the job you’re applying for. In fact, including irrelevant information can actually hurt your chances of getting an interview. Stick to the essentials and leave out anything that’s not directly related to the job.
- Not Using Keywords
Employers often use applicant tracking systems (ATS) to sort and filter resumes. These systems are designed to scan resumes for specific keywords and phrases that match the job requirements. If your resume doesn’t include the right keywords, it may not get through the ATS and into the hands of a human recruiter.
To make sure your resume is keywords -
First, look at the job listing and make a list of the required skills and qualifications.
Then, look at your own resume and see if you’ve included those keywords.
If you’re missing any of the required keywords, try to work them into your resume where it makes sense.
- Not Proofreading
One of the most common mistakes people make when writing their own resumes is not proofreading their work. It’s important to carefully proofread your resume before you submit it. Even a small typo or grammatical error can make you look less professional and could cost you the job.
- Not Updating Your Contact Information
Make sure your contact information is up to date before you submit your resume. Nothing
VI. How a professional resume writer can help you avoid those mistakes There are a few key reasons why working with a professional resume writer can help you avoid making common mistakes on your resume.
First, a professional resume writer understands what recruiters and hiring managers are looking for in a resume. They know what keywords and phrases to use, and how to structure your resume in a way that will make it easy for a busy recruiter to quickly see your value.
Second, a professional resume writer can help you identify and highlight your most relevant and impressive accomplishments. They know how to take your work history and education and turn it into a resume that will grab a recruiter's attention.
Third, a professional resume writer can help you avoid common resume mistakes, such as using outdated language or formatting your resume in a way that makes it hard to read. By working with a professional, you can be confident that your resume will be error-free and will make a strong first impression.
If you're serious about landing your dream job, working with a professional resume writer is a smart investment. By avoiding common resume mistakes and highlighting your best qualifications, you'll increase your chances of getting noticed by employers and landing the job you want.
VII. The bottom line: is hiring a resume writer worth it? If you're on the fence about whether or not hiring a resume writer is worth it, this blog post is for you. We'll go over the pros and cons of hiring a resume writer, and help you decide if it's the right move for your career.
The Pros of Hiring a Resume Writer
- A resume writer can help you clarify your career goals.
If you're not quite sure what you want to do with your career, a resume writer can help you figure out what you're looking for. This can save you a lot of time and energy spent applying for jobs that you're not qualified for, or that don't fit your career goals.

2023.03.22 07:31 navster100 Destiny 2 won't launch on PC
Trying to launch the game and doesn't do anything, destiny.exe and destiny launcher.exe are running in background with the BattleEye service that tries to do something but stops running automatically after a min. I get the same issue whether I try launching from Steam or Epic games. Game was working just fine for 2 years with no issues until a week ago, but I haven't made any changes to my pc when it happened. Been trying literally everything I could find on the internet and I'm about to just give up and permanently play on Xbox. Some things I've tried to fix:
Updated nvidia drivers
Restarted my pc, a lot
Uninstalled and Reinstalled BattleEye
Destiny 2 is firewall free, also firewall is disabled
no overclock done to any of my components
Overlays have been disabled (Steam, Nvidia, xbox gamebar)
Using compatibility mode and/or DPI optimization and/or execute as admin
Deleted Battleye_d2.exe and Battleye service from Common/Battleye folder and re-downloaded them by launching the game
Verify Game files -> nothing found
manually deleted all the game's dlls, .exe and redownloaded them by checking integrity
Uninstalled and Reinstalled Steam along with all my Steam games.
Uninstalled Destiny 2 from Steam then installing it on Epic games and running into the same issue
Checked my internet speed which is running at 120 mb/s on ethernet
Several other things that I can't remember
Info about my laptop:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Home
Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045
System Model Zephyrus G GU502DU_GA502DU
System Type x64-based PC

2023.03.22 07:30 scoobyydoob Doing the bare minimum doesn't make him a good dad.
He's a bare minimum type of dad but still wants to have rights and be involved despite being awful. I'd let him sign his rights away if he'd agree to it. Maybe someday he will and I won't have to stress about him anymore.
He was a shitty father before she was even born - I remember crying in the bathroom after he yelled at me for wanting a $100 ultrasound when I was 16 weeks pregnant cause I didn't have prenatal care yet and never got to see her or even confirm her heartbeat. I didn't manage to get prenatal care till 26 WEEKS cause medicaid was jerking me around and he wasn't helping me out at all. I was so stressed and terrified... Even worried that my baby wasn't alive inside me at certain points. He didn't seem to give a damn.
When the time came, he got pissed at me for not wanting to get induced early because he wanted extra leave to "be home and spend time with our baby"... After she was born he spent the whole time drinking and watching fuckin anime (I now despise anime), barely even looked at our baby, didn't help out with changing diapers or letting me sleep. God, fuck him. Oh, not gonna forget how I had to clean the house (it was a disaster and I was also sick the first week we were home with a bad cold) by myself to let pest control come (whole other can of worms) and had to clean again for his brother to visit despite all the pain from my vagina feeling like it was gonna fall out of my body from the bad tear I got during childbirth that took forever to heal. He bashed me for fucking SLEEPING while my newborn slept and when I exlained I had to cause she keeps me up late - no help from him - and just general exhaustion from all that my body went through and the mental toll motherhood takes on someone, he told me I need to "be a mother and get her on a good schedule".... A goddamn newborn. What the fuck, man.
I also got yelled at because I wanted to buy a few things for her arrival - he wanted to wait for the baby shower and donations. He wouldn't even let me pick out one thing for our baby. Oh, but he could purchase beer every night and buy guns and smokes! I worked till I was 35 weeks pregnant but I didn't make much and didn't have a car of my own, most of my money went to him after he blew all of what he made. I did that because I wanted the incoming money to be seen as both of ours... But he obviously didn't feel that way cause he financially abused the fuck out of me, told me it was impossible to save money, etc.
The drinking & his general lack of interest in our newborn was ultimately what broke me and made me leave. Actually, it was a huge conglomerate of all the bad treatment I had received, too. It's amazing how I started thinking rationally & my brain seemed totally rewired after I became a mother and I recognized the reality of how shitty he is after I left and had time to think.
A day before I left, I told him I was unhappy (baby was 6 weeks old) and asked if he was going to stop drinking because he had pissed on the floor the night before sometime during the night when I was up late soothing our newly 6 week old. He just said he enjoys drinking and finished the rest of his beers, nothing changed. So the next day, I packed up his car and had him take baby & I to my parents.
I had to get nasty with him to even give me $100 every 2 weeks on his paydays (cause he went 2 weeks without helping out and a week without coming to visit her). Only asking for $100 is very generous; he'd be made to pay 20% of his paycheck if I took him to court.
Today he decided to make things more difficult for me. Gave me a money order that I'll have to cash at the bank. He's aware I'll have to walk there, reactivate my old bank account and wait for a new card to be sent to me. He didn't care to ask if our daughter needed anything before screwing me over where I can't even use the $100 till the card arrives - I couldn't even do it today cause the bank was closed by then.
I've been so fucking nice to him. Was letting him pop in for visits whenever he wanted to (he'd usually come less than twice a week, never more than twice a week) till yesterday when I asked him to pick days he'd want to see her... Any days, however many days he wanted. He chose TWO DAYS a week. Fucker lives 7 minutes away, gets off work at 2pm and has the easiest job ever and his boss is super lenient with him (they're best friends) so it's not like he physically can't make it more often. And when he does visit, it's never longer than 20 minutes. He hasn't bonded with her at all.
He pissed me off today with that deliberately spiteful money order, and all the stuff he put me through that I never got to speak my mind about or receive even a simple apology for came rushing back. Especially since he still drunk texts me about how he jumps through hoops for me and does so much for our family and claims to love me... His ability to remain so delusional is baffling.
I told him to start paying me 20% from now on since he wants to make things difficult for me despite me trying to make things as easy as possible for him.
I'm so hurt and angry. Not only did I give him too many chances to fix our family, to get help to stop drinking, etc. but I was so nice to a pathetic extent. During his visits when he was acting like a miserable asshole, I'd try to make things more pleasant, offer him food, drinks, tv, attempted lighthearted conversation, tried to make playing with our baby more fun for him so maybe he'd attempt bonding with her, but he rejected all of it and continues acting like a dick, tries making my life more difficult.
It also scares me that a few nights ago he tried getting us to come over when he was drunk; he wanted to drive drunk with our baby. I will never feel comfortable sending her off with him. I will fight as hard as possible to not let that happen even if I have to move hours away. He has to prove he's making improvements, at least, but I know he won't.
I'm upset that our daughter has his last name. We never married (we planned to but thankfully didn't) so now I can't even have the same last name as my daughter. He doesn't deserve to have her carry on his last name. But if I can't ever find a way to change it, of course I'll show her reasons to love it. I don't ever want her to feel like part of her is tainted or bad, because she's beautiful and every part of her is loved.
I'm just done being nice to him. He burned a painting/letter I made him for our anniversary and posted it online for our acquaintances to see (how mature) so I clearly pissed him off. Good. It's time for him to start feeling hurt, helpless, betrayed, etc. just like he wanted me to feel. Not going to make sure things are so simple and easy for him anymore.
