One of the most exciting possibilities for GTA 6 is the inclusion of a new city or location to explore. While previous games have taken place in fictional versions of New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, fans are eager to see what other locations Rockstar Games might have in store for them.

2023.03.30 07:25 StepwiseUndrape574 GTA 6 Setting: Could It Be Outside the US?
One of the most exciting aspects of any new GTA game is the setting. Fans have been speculating about where GTA 6 could take place, and one popular theory is that it could be set outside the US.
While the GTA series has always been set in a fictional version of the United States, there are several reasons why Rockstar Games might consider setting GTA 6 in a new location. For one thing, the series has already explored several major American cities, from New York (Liberty City) to Los Angeles (Los Santos) and Miami (Vice City). It's possible that the developers are ready for a change of scenery.
Another reason why a non-US setting could work is that it would allow Rockstar to explore different cultures and lifestyles. For example, a GTA game set in Tokyo or London could provide a fresh perspective on crime and the underworld. It could also introduce new vehicles, weapons, and gameplay mechanics that are specific to those regions.
Of course, there are also some challenges to setting GTA 6 outside of the US. One major obstacle is that Rockstar would need to do a lot of research and work to create an accurate and believable version of a new city. They would need to get the details right in terms of the geography, landmarks, and culture. Additionally, some fans might be disappointed if the series moves away from its roots in America.
Overall, it's unclear whether GTA 6 will be set outside of the US or not. However, it's an intriguing possibility that could open up new possibilities for the series.

2023.03.30 07:09 See-Photos Attending the premiere of Spinning Gold in Los Angeles [March 2023]
2023.03.30 07:09 muser_777 Letters from Donetsk Part 9 "I chose to reserve a small safe corner of suspicion about the news of the missile strike - trauma is easier to cope with if you just choose to believe itâs a lie. Just look at the death of Elvis, or the climate crisis, and all that other stuff we compulsively deny."
Itâs funny how deeply you can miss what you no longer haveâhow Elysian fields become the more years you leave them fallow. I find myself propping up pictures of social events upon the easel of my mindâpictures I painted years agoânightclubs like those I would burrow my way into underground, even the one I would mix in during my decade of abandonment to movement and sound. But mostly I would cast my mind back to Prague bars or cafes, where there would be people around to talk to, or strangers just milling, yes, milling around. I never appreciated how nice it is for people to mill in your vicinity. Nice. Itâs just nice to be milled around. Perhaps that is why I find peace in supermarkets nowâit is less that their aisles and orderliness feel a thousand miles from the war, but that the people are suspended in perfectly spherical bubbles of âI have no pressing need to be here but alas here I amâ, and that to be around the drifting of those bubbles is almost as wonderful as companionship for someone as incompanionable as I currently am. Thank God for dreams, because I have whole cities full of companionship thereâfrom new friends, to girlfriends, to complicated enemies and entertainingly questionable foes, and even occasionally a few days of hanging out with her, all in some neatly designed urban location or another where the truth is something everyone unquestionably knows.
I should say a little of the people whom I have met along the way.
First, there was Dasha, originally from Kharkiv but now a long time resident of Gwent, who had also been on aid shuttles to Izium after it was freed. Her manner was attentive and friendlyâshe would follow up with regular calls the messages she regularly sent, which was good because talking is what I need. She stood out for her ability to persuade a Chaplain to accept my help, even when my wartime skillset made me about as useful right now as Lent.
The chap-lain and his assistant Pavel kept me waiting in Lozova after my own efforts to get to Donbas began to wane. I had already struck off my month in Kharkiv as a humanitarian failâI escorted boxes of dried food from Kyiv which would have managed well enough without me on a completely empty train, and did four hours of sandbag stacking around a monument to freedom which I was able to organise by not organising it at all, just seeing people working and offering to do the sameâbut mostly I felt useless or worse, and was eager to get away. Lozova was much the same, though there was a beautiful lake at the back of an unremarkable park which I walked around every day, and then forty hours after I left, the cultural centre I walked past was obliterated by a cruise missile a hundred metres from where I had stayed. I chose to reserve a small safe corner of suspicion about the news of the missile strikeâtrauma is easier to cope with if you just choose to believe itâs a lie. Just look at the death of Elvis, or the alive-and-kicking climate crisis, and all that other stuff we compulsively deny.
After I got tired of waiting in my pre-cruise missile apartment that was so cheap it was âaid for meâ, I packed up and paid extra for the broken shower cable when I handed over the keys. I took a taxi to Barvinkove which was almost a day or soâs walk short of Sloviansk, and I hoped to bag a lift for the last leg of the journey in some or other military jeep. The driver was a former farmer from these parts who pointed at the sections of field he used to work. There was a lot of field in that forty-five minutes, field and military trucks. Not a single civilian do I remember seeing on that mostly arrow straight road, just a painfully potholed surface, checkpoints and greetings in Polish for some reason I donât understand to this day, and a shrug of I have no idea who you are or what you are doing here but hereâs your passport back, on your way.
Bear in mind this was south of occupied Izium last year in mid May, and just a few kilometres stood between these parts and the Russian lines. The taxi driver wouldnât take me any further than Barvinkove, and it was pretty easy to see why. I thought I had seen destruction in Kharkiv, but the shattering that this all-but-entirely-abandoned town had taken was, in all the war so far, by far the most harrowing sight. You see destroyed cities on screens, and something of the destruction comes across, but when you stand alone on broken glass on what was once a busy junction with insides of buildings spilled out on every side, it isnât so much a chill that visits you with the ghosts of what happened here but more an enormous swallowing by all the unfathomable loss.
And yet still some civilians clang proudly to their homes. A group gathered of four, stood in front of their town hall, with glass all around there too; curtains wafted behind them from the upper floorsâof all the things we could have called them, itâs clearer when they are missing why we went with wind-ow.
âDo you need anything?â A smile. And curiosity. And consternation. But most of all a smile. From a lady almost half my height but every bit as stout. I was traipsing through their town alone with a giant pack upon my back, doing my best not to make it too obvious that I had never seen anything so terrible as her town in my entire life. How do you behave toward people you meet when on every side the guts of their homes are hanging out? I wish I could have just stopped and looked silently down into her eyes and offered her a hug.
âI turn left for Sloviansk, yes?â I said instead.
âYes. Take a left down there.â
âThanks,â and with the glance my gratitude warranted as I parted I offered a tiny portion of my sympathy, but I swear this lady neither needed nor wanted a single thingâthis was her town, her home, and smashed to shit or not, she would hold her head up high, be the honourable host and offer directions to passers by, because she and her town still lived, and if anyone needed a hug, am I sure it wasnât me?
If someone had told me she was the mayor of the town, I wouldnât have been surprised.
They were the last people I saw for the next kilometre leading out, as I passed broken home after shop after kindergarten after abandoned business of now an entirely indiscernible kind. Pieces everywhere. Of glass and rocks and wires and concrete. One shop was missing its long shop window and two stray dogs watched me as I passed, the boss of the two was lying down on the inside upon a three-thick bed of shattered glass, as if filling in for the shop sign. I wanted to coax him off, but realised the worst thing I could do was spook him and just hoped his fur was thick enough for my conscience to leave him behind.
On the long road leading out east, the houses of Barvinkove turned to village types, with overgrowing flower gardens all flourishingly unkempt â all purples and pinks and yellows and whites with yellow centres and deep and velvet reds. The distant sounds of artillery feel more distant when coming through village air. One home stood out for grass having been mown, and the gardener at large, a lady in waiting to grow old, was out tending to her five metre wide shareâalone in a kilometre row of single storey village houses with boarded up eyes and fast-growing gardens for beards, in her typical village floral dress and headscarf, she stood out for the peace with which she tended to tidiness, a sight to make a soldier stop, kneel and bow his head before the life still living there.
âZdrasti.â
âZdrasti.â
It was about three months ago that people stopped saying âGood Dayâ. But to this day, Barvinkove never fell.

Complete disclosure: my family can financially assist me to some degree, so I wouldnât be taking out 300k in loans for HLSâIâd be taking out about half of that or even less than half. At UCLA, my strong scholarship offer would leave me with enough money for living costs, so Iâd have no debt.

2023.03.30 06:59 professorprogfrog My faith in Jesus helped me recover from erectile dysfunction (Storytime)
THE OPENING (al-Fatihah) 1. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. 2. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 3. The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 4. Master of the Day of Judgment. 5. It is You we worship, and upon You we call for help. 6. Guide us to the straight path. 7. The path of those You have blessed, not of those against whom there is anger, nor of those who are misguided. 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful 1. Alif, Lam, Meem. 2. This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guide for the righteous. 3. Those who believe in the unseen, and perform the prayers, and give from what We have provided for them. 4. And those who believe in what was revealed to you, and in what was revealed before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. 5. These are upon guidance from their Lord. These are the successful. 6. As for those who disbelieveâit is the same for them, whether you have warned them, or have not warned themâthey do not believe. 7. Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. They will have a severe torment. 8. Among the people are those who say, âWe believe in Allah and in the Last Day,â but they are not believers. 9. They seek to deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive none but themselves, though they are not aware. 10. In their hearts is sickness, and Allah has increased their sickness. They will have a painful punishment because of their denial. 11. And when it is said to them, âDo not make trouble on earth,â they say, âWe are only reformers.â 12. In fact, they are the troublemakers, but they are not aware. 13. And when it is said to them, âBelieve as the people have believed,â they say, âShall we believe as the fools have believed?â In fact, it is they who are the fools, but they do not know. 14. And when they come across those who believe, they say, âWe believeâ; but when they are alone with their devils, they say, âWe are with you; we were only ridiculing.â 15. It is Allah who ridicules them, and leaves them bewildered in their transgression. 16. Those are they who have bartered error for guidance; but their trade does not profit them, and they are not guided. 17. Their likeness is that of a person who kindled a fire; when it illuminated all around him, Allah took away their light, and left them in darkness, unable to see. 18. Deaf, dumb, blind. They will not return. 19. Or like a cloudburst from the sky, in which is darkness, and thunder, and lightning. They press their fingers into their ears from the thunderbolts, in fear of death. But Allah surrounds the disbelievers. 20. The lightning almost snatches their sight away. Whenever it illuminates for them, they walk in it; but when it grows dark over them, they stand still. Had Allah willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. Allah is capable of everything. 21. O people! Worship your Lord who created you and those before you, that you may attain piety. 1 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) 22. He who made the earth a habitat for you, and the sky a structure, and sends water down from the sky, and brings out fruits thereby, as a sustenance for you. Therefore, do not assign rivals to Allah while you know. 23. And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a chapter like these, and call your witnesses apart from Allah, if you are truthful. 24. But if you do notâand you will notâthen beware the Fire whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the disbelievers. 25. And give good news to those who believe and do righteous deeds; that they will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with fruit therefrom as sustenance, they will say, âThis is what we were provided with before,â and they will be given the like of it. And they will have pure spouses therein, and they will abide therein forever. 26. Allah does not shy away from making an example of a gnat, or something above it. As for those who believe, they know that it is the Truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, âWhat did Allah intend by this example?â He leads astray many thereby, and He guides many thereby; but He misleads thereby only the evildoers. 27. Those who violate Allahâs covenant after its confirmation, and sever what Allah has commanded to be joined, and commit evil on earth. These are the losers. 28. How can you deny Allah, when you were dead and He gave you life, then He will put you to death, then He will bring you to life, then to Him you will be returned? 29. It is He who created for you everything on earth, then turned to the heaven, and made them seven heavens. And He is aware of all things. 30. When your Lord said to the angels, âI am placing a successor on earth.â They said, âWill You place in it someone who will cause corruption in it and shed blood, while we declare Your praises and sanctify You?â He said, âI know what you do not know.â 31. And He taught Adam the names, all of them; then he presented them to the angels, and said, âTell Me the names of these, if you are sincere.â 32. They said, âGlory be to You! We have no knowledge except what You have taught us. It is you who are the Knowledgeable, the Wise.â 33. He said, âO Adam, tell them their names.â And when he told them their names, He said, âDid I not tell you that I know the secrets of the heavens and the earth, and that I know what you reveal and what you conceal?â 34. And We said to the angels, âBow down to Adam.â They bowed down, except for Satan. He refused, was arrogant, and was one of the disbelievers. 35. We said, âO Adam, inhabit the Garden, you and your spouse, and eat from it freely as you please, but do not approach this tree, lest you become wrongdoers.â 36. But Satan caused them to slip from it, and caused them to depart the state they were in. We said, âGo down, some of you enemies of one another. And you will have residence on earth, and enjoyment for a while.â 37. Then Adam received words from his Lord, so He relented towards him. He is the Relenting, the Merciful. 38. We said, âGo down from it, all of you. Yet whenever guidance comes to you from Me, then whoever follows My guidanceâthey have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve. 39. But as for those who disbelieve and reject Our signsâthese are the inmates of the Fireâwherein they will remain forever.â 40. O Children of Israel! Remember My blessings which I bestowed upon you, and fulfill your pledge to Me, and I will fulfill My pledge to you, and fear Me. 41. And believe in what I revealed, confirming what is with you; and do not be the first to 2 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) deny it; and do not exchange My revelations for a small price; and be conscious of Me. 42. And do not mix truth with falsehood, and do not conceal the truth while you know. 43. And attend to your prayers, and practice regular charity, and kneel with those who kneel. 44. Do you command people to virtuous conduct, and forget yourselves, even though you read the Scripture? Do you not understand? 45. And seek help through patience and prayer. But it is difficult, except for the devout. 46. Those who know that they will meet their Lord, and that to Him they will return. 47. O Children of Israel! Remember My favor which I bestowed upon you, and I that favored you over all nations. 48. And beware of a Day when no soul will avail another in the least, nor will any intercession be accepted on its behalf, nor will any ransom be taken from it, nor will they be helped. 49. And recall that We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh. They inflicted on you terrible persecution, killing your sons and sparing your women. Therein was a tremendous trial from your Lord. 50. And recall that We parted the sea for you, so We saved you, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh as you looked on. 51. And recall that We appointed for Moses forty nights. Then you took to worshiping the calf after him, and you turned wicked. 52. Then We pardoned you after that, so that you might be grateful. 53. And recall that We gave Moses the Scripture and the Criterion, so that you may be guided. 54. And recall that Moses said to his people, âO my people, you have done wrong to yourselves by worshiping the calf. So repent to your Maker, and kill your egos. That would be better for you with your Maker.â So He turned to you in repentance. He is the Accepter of Repentance, the Merciful. 55. And recall that you said, âO Moses, we will not believe in you unless we see Allah plainly.â Thereupon the thunderbolt struck you, as you looked on. 56. Then We revived you after your death, so that you may be appreciative. 57. And We shaded you with clouds, and We sent down to you manna and quails: âEat of the good things We have provided for you.â They did not wrong Us, but they used to wrong their own souls. 58. And recall that We said, âEnter this town, and eat plentifully from it whatever you wish; but enter the gate humbly, and say, 'Pardon.' We will forgive your sins, and give increase to the virtuous.â 59. But the wrongdoers among them substituted words other than those given to them, so We sent down on the wrongdoers a plague from heaven, because of their wicked behavior. 60. And recall when Moses prayed for water for his people. We said, âStrike the rock with your staff.â Thereupon twelve springs gushed out from it, and each tribe recognized its drinking-place. âEat and drink from Allahâs provision, and do not corrupt the earth with disobedience.â 61. And recall when you said, âO Moses, we cannot endure one kind of food, so call to your Lord to produce for us of what the earth grows: of its herbs, and its cucumbers, and its garlic, and its lentils, and its onions.â He said, âWould you substitute worse for better? Go down to Egypt, where you will have what you asked for.â They were struck with humiliation and poverty, and incurred wrath from Allah. That was because they rejected Allahâs revelations and wrongfully killed the prophets. That was because they disobeyed and transgressed. 62. Those who believe, and those who are Jewish, and the Christians, and the Sabeansâany who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and 3 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) act righteouslyâwill have their reward with their Lord; they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. 63. And recall when We received a pledge from you, and raised the Mount above you: âTake what We have given you earnestly, and remember what is in it, that you may attain righteousness.â 64. But after that you turned away. Were it not for Allahâs grace and mercy towards you, you would have been among the losers. 65. And you surely knew those of you who violated the Sabbath. We said to them, âBe despicable apes!â 66. Thus We made it a deterrent for their generation, and for subsequent generations, and a lesson for the righteous. 67. And recall when Moses said to his people, âAllah commands you to sacrifice a heifer.â They said, âDo you make a mockery of us?â He said, âAllah forbid that I should be so ignorant.â 68. They said, âCall upon your Lord to show us which one.â He said, âHe says she is a heifer, neither too old, nor too young, but in between. So do what you are commanded.â 69. They said, âCall upon your Lord to show us what her color is.â He said, âHe says she is a yellow heifer, bright in color, pleasing to the beholders.â 70. They said, âCall upon your Lord to show us which one; the heifers look alike to us; and Allah willing, we will be guided.â 71. He said, âHe says she is a heifer, neither yoked to plow the earth, nor to irrigate the field; sound without blemish.â They said, âNow you have brought the truth.â So they slew her; though they almost did not. 72. And recall when you killed a person, and disputed in the matter; but Allah was to expose what you were hiding. 73. We said, âStrike him with part of it.â Thus Allah brings the dead to life; and He shows you His signs, that you may understand. 74. Then after that your hearts hardened. They were as rocks, or even harder. For there are some rocks from which rivers gush out, and others that splinter and water comes out from them, and others that sink in awe of Allah. Allah is not unaware of what you do. 75. Do you hope that they will believe in you, when some of them used to hear the Word of Allah, and then deliberately distort it, even after understanding it? 76. And when they come across those who believe, they say, âWe believe,â but when they come together privately, they say, âWill you inform them of what Allah has disclosed to you, so that they might dispute with you concerning it before your Lord?â Do you not understand? 77. Do they not know that Allah knows what they conceal and what they reveal? 78. And among them are uneducated who know the Scripture only through hearsay, and they only speculate. 79. So woe to those who write the Scripture with their own hands, and then say, âThis is from Allah,â that they may exchange it for a little price. Woe to them for what their hands have written, and woe to them for what they earn. 80. And they say, âThe Fire will not touch us except for a number of days.â Say, âHave you received a promise from AllahâAllah never breaks His promiseâor are you saying about Allah what you do not know?â 81. Indeed, whoever commits misdeeds, and becomes besieged by his iniquitiesâthese are the inmates of the Fire, wherein they will dwell forever. 82. As for those who believe and do righteous deedsâthese are the inhabitants of Paradise, wherein they will dwell forever. 83. We made a covenant with the Children of Israel: âWorship none but Allah; and be good to parents, and relatives, and orphans, and the needy; and speak nicely to people; and pray regularly, and give alms.â Then you 4 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) turned away, except for a few of you, recanting. 84. And We made a covenant with you: âYou shall not shed the blood of your own, nor shall you evict your own from your homes.â You agreed, and were all witnesses. 85. But here you are, killing your own, and expelling a group of your own from their homesâconspiring against them in wrongdoing and hostility. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom them, although it was forbidden to you. Is it that you believe in part of the Scripture, and disbelieve in part? What is the reward for those among you who do that but humiliation in this life? And on the Day of Resurrection, they will be assigned to the most severe torment. Allah is not unaware of what you do. 86. Those are they who bought the present life for the Hereafter, so the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be helped. 87. We gave Moses the Scripture, and sent a succession of messengers after him. And We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear proofs, and We supported him with the Holy Spirit. Is it that whenever a messenger comes to you with anything your souls do not desire, you grew arrogant, calling some impostors, and killing others? 88. And they said, âOur hearts are sealed.â Rather, Allah has cursed them for their ingratitude. They have little faith. 89. And when a scripture came to them from Allah, confirming what they haveâalthough previously they were seeking victory against those who disbelievedâbut when there came to them what they recognized, they disbelieved in it. So Allahâs curse is upon the disbelievers. 90. Miserable is what they sold their souls forârejecting what Allah has revealed, out of resentment that Allah would send down His grace upon whomever He chooses from among His servants. Thus they incurred wrath upon wrath. And there is a demeaning punishment for the disbelievers. 91. And when it is said to them, âBelieve in what Allah has revealed,â they say, âWe believe in what was revealed to us,â and they reject anything beyond that, although it is the truth which confirms what they have. Say, âWhy did you kill Allahâs prophets before, if you were believers?â 92. Moses came to you with clear proofs, yet you adopted the calf in his absence, and you were in the wrong. 93. And We made a covenant with you, and raised the Mount above you: âTake what We have given you firmly, and listen.â They said, âWe hear and disobey.â And their hearts became filled with the love of the calf because of their disbelief. Say, âWretched is what your faith commands you to do, if you are believers.â 94. Say, âIf the Final Home with Allah is yours alone, to the exclusion of all other people, then wish for death if you are sincere.â 95. But they will never wish for it, because of what their hands have forwarded. Allah is aware of the evildoers. 96. You will find them, of all mankind, the most eager for life, even more than the polytheists. Every one of them wishes he could live a thousand years; but to be granted a long life will not nudge him from the punishment. Allah is Seeing of what they do. 97. Say, âWhoever is hostile to Gabrielâit is he who revealed it to your heart by Allahâs leave, confirming what preceded it, and guidance and good news for the believers.â 98. Whoever is hostile to Allah, and His angels, and His messengers, and Gabriel, and MichaelâAllah is hostile to the faithless. 99. We have revealed to you clear signs, and none rejects them except the sinners. 100. Is it not that whenever they make a covenant, some of them toss it aside? In fact, most of them do not believe. 101. And when there came to them a messenger from Allah, confirming what they had, a faction of those who were given the Book 5 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) threw the Book of Allah behind their backs, as if they do not know. 102. And they followed what the devils taught during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but it was the devils who disbelieved. They taught the people witchcraft and what was revealed in Babylon to the two angels Harut and Marut. They did not teach anybody until they had said, âWe are a test, so do not lose faith.â But they learned from them the means to cause separation between man and his wife. But they cannot harm anyone except with Allah's permission. And they learned what would harm them and not benefit them. Yet they knew that whoever deals in it will have no share in the Hereafter. Miserable is what they sold their souls for, if they only knew. 103. Had they believed and been righteous, the reward from Allah would have been better, if they only knew. 104. O you who believe! Do not say ambiguous words, but say words of respect, and listen. The disbelievers will have a painful torment. 105. It is never the wish of the disbelievers from among the People of the Book, nor of the polytheists, that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord. But Allah chooses for His mercy whomever He wills. Allah is Possessor of Sublime Grace. 106. We never nullify a verse, nor cause it to be forgotten, unless We bring one better than it, or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is capable of all things? 107. Do you not know that to Allah belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and that apart from Allah you have no guardian or helper? 108. Or do you want to question your Messenger as Moses was questioned before? Whoever exchanges faith for disbelief has strayed from the right path. 109. Many of the People of the Book wish to turn you back into unbelievers after you have believed, out of envy on their part, after the Truth has become clear to them. But pardon and overlook, until Allah brings His command. Allah has power over all things. 110. And perform the prayer, and give alms. Whatever good you forward for yourselves, you will find it with Allah. Allah is Seeing of everything you do. 111. And they say, âNone will enter Heaven unless he is a Jew or a Christian.â These are their wishes. Say, âProduce your proof, if you are truthful.â 112. In fact, whoever submits himself to Allah, and is a doer of good, will have his reward with his Lordâthey have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve. 113. The Jews say, âThe Christians are not based on anything;â and the Christians say, âThe Jews are not based on anything.â Yet they both read the Scripture. Similarly, the ignorant said the same thing. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection regarding their differences. 114. Who is more unjust than him who forbids the remembrance of Allahâs name in places of worship, and contributes to their ruin? These ought not to enter them except in fear. For them is disgrace in this world, and for them is a terrible punishment in the Hereafter. 115. To Allah belong the East and the West. Whichever way you turn, there is Allahâs presence. Allah is Omnipresent and Omniscient. 116. And they say, âAllah has begotten a son.â Be He glorified. Rather, His is everything in the heavens and the earth; all are obedient to Him. 117. Originator of the heavens and the earth. Whenever He decrees a thing, He says to it, âBe,â and it becomes. 118. Those who do not know say, âIf only Allah would speak to us, or a sign would come to us.â Thus said those who were before them. Their hearts are alike. We have made the signs clear for people who are certain. 6 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) 119. We have sent you with the truthâbringing good news, and giving warnings. You will not be questioned about the inmates of Hell. 120. The Jews and the Christians will not approve of you, unless you follow their creed. Say, âAllahâs guidance is the guidance.â Should you follow their desires, after the knowledge that has come to you, you will have in Allah neither guardian nor helper. 121. Those to whom We have given the Scripture follow it, as it ought to be followedâ these believe in it. But as for those who reject itâthese are the losers. 122. O Children of Israel! Remember My blessing which I bestowed upon you, and that I have favored you over all people. 123. And beware of a Day when no soul will avail another soul in any way, and no ransom will be accepted from it, and no intercession will benefit it, and they will not be helped. 124. And when his Lord tested Abraham with certain words, and he fulfilled them. He said, âI am making you a leader of humanity.â He said, âAnd my descendants?â He said, âMy pledge does not include the wrongdoers.â 125. And We made the House a focal point for the people, and a sanctuary. Use the shrine of Abraham as a place of prayer. And We commissioned Abraham and Ishmael, âSanctify My House for those who circle around it, and those who seclude themselves in it, and those who kneel and prostrate.â 126. When Abraham said, âO My Lord, make this a peaceful land, and provide its people with fruitsâwhoever of them believes in Allah and the Last Day.â He said, âAnd whoever disbelieves, I will give him a little enjoyment, then I will consign him to the punishment of the Fire; how miserable the destiny!â 127. As Abraham raises the foundations of the House, together with Ishmael, âOur Lord, accept it from us, You are the Hearer, the Knower. 128. Our Lord, and make us submissive to You, and from our descendants a community submissive to You. And show us our rites, and accept our repentance. You are the Acceptor of Repentance, the Merciful. 129. Our Lord, and raise up among them a messenger, of themselves, who will recite to them Your revelations, and teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. You are the Almighty, the Wise.â 130. Who would forsake the religion of Abraham, except he who fools himself? We chose him in this world, and in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous. 131. When his Lord said to him, âSubmit!â He said, âI have submitted to the Lord of the Worlds.â 132. And Abraham exhorted his sons, and Jacob, âO my sons, Allah has chosen this religion for you, so do not die unless you have submitted.â 133. Or were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, and he said to his sons, âWhat will you worship after Me?â They said, âWe will worship your God, and the God of your fathers, Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac; One God; and to Him we submit.â 134. That was a community that has passed; for them is what they have earned, and for you is what you have earned; and you will not be questioned about what they used to do. 135. And they say, âBe Jews or Christians, and you will be guided.â Say, âRather, the religion of Abraham, the Monotheist; he was not an idolater.â 136. Say, âWe believe in Allah; and in what was revealed to us; and in what was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses and Jesus; and in what was given to the prophetsâfrom their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we surrender.â 137. If they believe in the same as you have believed in, then they have been guided. But if they turn away, then they are in schism. Allah will protect you against them; for He is the Hearer, the Knower. 7 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) 138. Allahâs coloring. And who gives better coloring than Allah? âAnd we are devoted to Him.â 139. Say, âDo you argue with us about Allah, when He is our Lord and your Lord, and We have our works, and you have your works, and we are sincere to Him?â 140. Or do you say that Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs were Jews or Christians? Say, âDo you know better, or Allah?â And who does greater wrong than he who conceals a testimony he has from Allah? Allah is not unaware of what you do. 141. That was a community that has passed. To them is what they have earned, and to you is what you have earned. And you will not be questioned about what they used to do. 142. The ignorant among the people will say, âWhat has turned them away from the direction of prayer they once followed?â Say, âTo Allah belong the East and the West. He guides whom He wills to a straight path.â 143. Thus We made you a moderate community, that you may be witnesses to humanity, and that the Messenger may be a witness to you. We only established the direction of prayer, which you once followed, that We may distinguish those who follow the Messenger from those who turn on their heels. It is indeed difficult, except for those whom Allah has guided. But Allah would never let your faith go to waste. Allah is Kind towards the people, Merciful. 144. We have seen your face turned towards the heaven. So We will turn you towards a direction that will satisfy you. So turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque. And wherever you may be, turn your faces towards it. Those who were given the Book know that it is the Truth from their Lord; and Allah is not unaware of what they do. 145. Even if you were to bring to those who were given the Book every proof, they would not follow your direction, nor are you to follow their direction, nor do they follow the direction of one another. And if you were to follow their desires, after the knowledge that has come to you, you would be in that case one of the wrongdoers. 146. Those to whom We have given the Book recognize it as they recognize their own children. But some of them conceal the truth while they know. 147. The truth is from your Lord, so do not be a skeptic. 148. To every community is a direction towards which it turns. Therefore, race towards goodness. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you all together. Allah is capable of everything. 149. And wherever you come from, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque. This is the truth from your Lord, and Allah is not heedless of what you do. 150. And wherever you come from, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque. And wherever you may be, turn your faces towards it. So that the people may not have any argument against youâexcept those who do wrong among them. So do not fear them, but fear Me, that I may complete My blessings upon you, and that you may be guided. 151. Just as We sent to you a messenger from among you, who recites Our revelations to you, and purifies you, and teaches you the Book and wisdom, and teaches you what you did not know. 152. So remember Me, and I will remember you. And thank Me, and do not be ungrateful. 153. O you who believe! Seek help through patience and prayers. Allah is with the steadfast. 154. And do not say of those who are killed in the cause of Allah, âDead.â Rather, they are alive, but you do not perceive. 155. We will certainly test you with some fear and hunger, and some loss of possessions and lives and crops. But give good news to the steadfast. 156. Those who, when a calamity afflicts them, say, âTo Allah we belong, and to Him we will return.â 8 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) 157. Upon these are blessings and mercy from their Lord. These are the guided ones. 158. Safa and Marwa are among the rites of Allah. Whoever makes the Pilgrimage to the House, or performs the Umrah, commits no error by circulating between them. Whoever volunteers goodâAllah is Appreciative and Cognizant. 159. Those who suppress the proofs and the guidance We have revealed, after We have clarified them to humanity in the Scriptureâ thoseâAllah curses them, and the cursers curse them. 160. Except those who repent, and reform, and proclaim. ThoseâI will accept their repentance. I am the Acceptor of Repentance, the Merciful. 161. But as for those who reject faith, and die rejectingâthoseâupon them is the curse of Allah, and of the angels, and of all humanity. 162. They will remain under it forever, and the torment will not be lightened for them, and they will not be reprieved. 163. Your God is one God. There is no god but He, the Benevolent, the Compassionate. 164. In the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of night and day; in the ships that sail the oceans for the benefit of mankind; in the water that Allah sends down from the sky, and revives the earth with it after it had died, and scatters in it all kinds of creatures; in the changing of the winds, and the clouds disposed between the sky and the earth; are signs for people who understand. 165. Yet among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals to Him. They love them as the love of Allah. But those who believe have greater love for Allah. If only the wrongdoers would realize, when they see the torment; that all power is Allahâs, and that Allah is severe in punishment. 166. Those who were followed will then disown those who followed them, and they will see the retribution, and ties between them will be severed. 167. Those who followed will say, âIf only we can have another chance, we will disown them, as they disowned us.â Thus Allah will show them their deeds, as regrets to them, and they will not come out of the Fire. 168. O people! Eat of what is lawful and good on earth, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. He is to you an open enemy. 169. He commands you to do evil and vice, and to say about Allah what you do not know. 170. And when it is said to them, âFollow what Allah has revealed,â they say, âWe will follow what we found our ancestors following.â Even if their ancestors understood nothing, and were not guided? 171. The parable of those who disbelieve is that of someone who calls upon someone who hears nothing except screaming and yelling. Deaf, dumb, and blindâthey do not understand. 172. O you who believe! Eat of the good things We have provided for you, and give thanks to Allah, if it is Him that you serve. 173. He has forbidden you carrion, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and what was dedicated to other than Allah. But if anyone is compelled, without desiring or exceeding, he commits no sin. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 174. Those who conceal what Allah revealed in the Book, and exchange it for a small priceâ those swallow nothing but fire into their bellies. And Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful punishment. 175. It is they who exchange guidance for error, and forgiveness for punishment. But why do they insist on the Fire? 176. That is because Allah has revealed the Book in truth; and those who differ about the Book are in deep discord. 177. Righteousness does not consist of turning your faces towards the East and the West. But righteous is he who believes in Allah, and the Last Day, and the angels, and the Scripture, 9 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) and the prophets. Who gives money, though dear, to near relatives, and orphans, and the needy, and the homeless, and the beggars, and for the freeing of slaves; those who perform the prayers, and pay the obligatory charity, and fulfill their promise when they promise, and patiently persevere in the face of persecution, hardship, and in the time of conflict. These are the sincere; these are the pious. 178. O you who believe! Retaliation for the murdered is ordained upon you: the free for the free, the slave for the slave, the female for the female. But if he is forgiven by his kin, then grant any reasonable demand, and pay with good will. This is a concession from your Lord, and a mercy. But whoever commits aggression after that, a painful torment awaits him. 179. There is life for you in retaliation, O people of understanding, so that you may refrain. 180. It is decreed for you: when death approaches one of you, and he leaves wealth, to make a testament in favor of the parents and the relatives, fairly and correctlyâa duty upon the righteous. 181. But whoever changes it after he has heard it, the guilt is upon those who change it. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 182. Should someone suspect bias or injustice on the part of a testator, and then reconciles between them, he commits no sin. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 183. O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become righteous. 184. For a specified number of days. But whoever among you is sick, or on a journey, then a number of other days. For those who are able: a ransom of feeding a needy person. But whoever volunteers goodness, it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew. 185. Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed. Guidance for humanity, and clear portents of guidance, and the Criterion. Whoever of you witnesses the month, shall fast it. But whoever is sick, or on a journey, then a number of other days. Allah desires ease for you, and does not desire hardship for you, that you may complete the number, and celebrate Allah for having guided you, so that you may be thankful. 186. And when My servants ask you about Me, I Am near; I answer the call of the caller when he calls on Me. So let them answer Me, and have faith in Me, that they may be rightly guided. 187. Permitted for you is intercourse with your wives on the night of the fast. They are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them. Allah knows that you used to betray yourselves, but He turned to you and pardoned you. So approach them now, and seek what Allah has ordained for you, and eat and drink until the white streak of dawn can be distinguished from the black streak. Then complete the fast until nightfall. But do not approach them while you are in retreat at the mosques. These are the limits of Allah, so do not come near them. Allah thus clarifies His revelations to the people, that they may attain piety. 188. And do not consume one anotherâs wealth by unjust means, nor offer it as bribes to the officials in order to consume part of other peopleâs wealth illicitly, while you know. 189. They ask you about the crescents. Say, âThey are timetables for people, and for the Hajj.â It is not virtuous that you approach homes from their backs, but virtue is to be pious. So approach homes from their doors, and observe Allah, that you may succeed. 190. And fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not commit aggression; Allah does not love the aggressors. 191. And kill them wherever you overtake them, and expel them from where they had expelled you. Oppression is more serious than murder. But do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque, unless they fight you there. If they fight you, then kill them. Such is the retribution of the disbelievers. 10 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) 192. But if they cease, then Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 193. And fight them until there is no oppression, and worship becomes devoted to Allah alone. But if they cease, then let there be no hostility except against the oppressors. 194. The sacred month for the sacred month; and sacrilege calls for retaliation. Whoever commits aggression against you, retaliate against him in the same measure as he has committed against you. And be conscious of Allah, and know that Allah is with the righteous. 195. And spend in the cause of Allah, and do not throw yourselves with your own hands into ruin, and be charitable. Allah loves the charitable. 196. And carry out the Hajj and the Umrah for Allah. But if you are prevented, then whatever is feasible of offerings. And do not shave your heads until the offering has reached its destination. Whoever of you is sick, or has an injury of the head, then redemption of fasting, or charity, or worship. When you are secure: whoever continues the Umrah until the Hajj, then whatever is feasible of offering. But if he lacks the means, then fasting for three days during the Hajj and seven when you have returned, making ten in all. This is for he whose household is not present at the Sacred Mosque. And remain conscious of Allah, and know that Allah is stern in retribution. 197. The Hajj is during specific months. Whoever decides to perform the Hajjâthere shall be no sexual relations, nor misconduct, nor quarrelling during the Hajj. And whatever good you do, Allah knows it. And take provisions, but the best provision is righteousness. And be mindful of Me, O people of understanding. 198. You commit no error by seeking bounty from your Lord. When you disperse from Arafat, remember Allah at the Sacred Landmark. And remember Him as He has guided you. Although, before that, you were of those astray. 199. Then disperse from where the people disperse, and ask Allah for forgiveness. Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. 200. When you have completed your rites, remember Allah as you remember your parents, or even more. Among the people is he who says, âOur Lord, give us in this world,â yet he has no share in the Hereafter. 201. And among them is he who says, âOur Lord, give us goodness in this world, and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.â 202. These will have a share of what they have earned. Allah is swift in reckoning. 203. And remember Allah during the designated days. But whoever hurries on in two days commits no wrong, and whoever stays on commits no wrongâprovided he maintains righteousness. And obey Allah, and know that to Him you will be gathered. 204. Among the people is he whose speech about the worldly life impresses you, and he calls Allah to witness what is in his heart, while he is the most hostile of adversaries. 205. When he gains power, he strives to spread corruption on earth, destroying properties and lives. Allah does not like corruption. 206. And when he is told, âBeware of Allah,â his pride leads him to more sin. Hell is enough for himâa dreadful abode. 207. And among the people is he who sells himself seeking Allahâs approval.

2023.03.30 06:35 papafaraway So I tell my lawn guy about PA, now he needs advice
When people hear my story, they think I might have good suggestions on lawyers, etc. I donât, but I figure one of you might. Can anyone here suggest a good attorney in Los Angeles to help him fight Child Protective Services from taking his 15 year old and giving custody to the mom? If not, I think we will see one more PA situation form. The best I know to do is ask you.

cycle 14: Hallie from Memphis, Tennessee Krista from Pine Bluff, Arkansas Rogi from Washington D.C Naduah from San Diego, California Jessica from Conway, Arkansas Anslee from Dracula, Georgia Ravyn from Washington D.C Tatianna from Ewa Beach, Hawaii Jeanna from Chicago, Illinois Raina from Minnetonka, Minnesota Anastasia from Chicago, Illinois Danielle from Greenville, South Carolina Justine from Syracuse, New York Alasia from Marietta, Georgia Gabrielle from St. Louis, Missouri Martha from Charlotte, Tennessee Angelea from Buffalo, New York Brittany from College Park, Maryland Simone from Lenexa, Kansas Honor from Santa Monica, California Jessie from Warren, Michigan Nida from East Bernard, Texas Julianna from Austin, Texas Alexandra from Kerrville, Texas Aimee from Houston, Texas Madelynne from Houston, Texas Tuesday from Houston, Texas Ren from Dallas, Texas Brenda from Houston, Texas
Texas was done dirty this season. Many of the semi finalist (Tuesday, Madelynne, Aimee, Julianna and Nida) are all from Texas (Brittany also lived there for a while) and for some reason, Ren was casted? The reason why is because they wanted someone to create drama and all the top 20 remaining girls were nice (except one) so they brought Ren.
Hallie was a top 20 girl, and she was bratty and spoiled. So why wasn't she casted? Both her and production found out that she was pregnant so she couldn't continue.
cycle 15: Tyrie from Indianapolis, Indiana Justine from Indianapolis, Indiana De'Yana from Detroit, Michigan Chelsey from Boise, Idaho Jane from Baltimore, Maryland Jessica from Willow Grove, Pennsylvania Esther from Boston, Massachusetts Lauren from Brettwood, Tennessee Vanessa/Violet from Lakeville, Minnesota Emily C. from Ona, West Virginia Toya from Beaufort, South Carolina Christina from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Kendal from Northport, Alabama Emily H. from Barboursville, West Virginia Terra from Arlington, Texas Anna from Dallas, Texas Lyzbeth/Liz from Arlington, Texas Christin/Chris from Arlington, Texas Laura from New York, New York Anamaria from Queens, New York Sara from Tarrytown, New York Alexia/Lexie from Geneva, Illinois Nitasha from Chicago, Illinois Jillian from Chicago, Illinois Kayla from Rockford, Illinois Jordan from Chicago, Illinois Kacey from Palmdale, California Emi from Pismo Beach, California Rylee from Orange County, California Sara B. from Menifee, California Shelby from Beverly Hills, California Rhianna from San Diego, California Mindy from Murrieta, California Anna (unknown) Jen (unknown)
Jen is an unknown Asian girl who just randomly slipped away from production and ran away during auditions.
cycle 16: Laree from Atlanta, Georgia Breanna from Blaine, Minnesota Elizabeth from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Molly from Olathe, Kansas Annabelle from Manhattan, New York Sierra from Park City, Utah Kari from Steamboat Springs, Colorado Taneisha from Anniston, Alabama Brittani from Beech Creek, Pennsylvania Tiffany from Hattiesburg, Mississippi Molly O. from Charleston, South Carolina Ondrei from Muskegon, Michigan Kasia from Wheaton, Illinois Yashure from East Saint Louis, Illinois Monique from Hebron, Illinois Alexandria from Huntington Beach, California Dalya from Corona, California Vee from Sacramento, California Dominique from Houston, Texas Jaclyn from Belton, Texas Rune from Edinburg, Texas Hannah from Houston, Texas Mikaela from Boca Raton, Florida Deidrian from Lauderdale Lakes, Florida Nicole from Orlando, Florida Angelia from Pembroke Pines, Florida the unnamed stripper from Mobile, Alabama
The fake out girls were not actresses, they were real people. This is more well known now but maybe you didn't know.
cycle 17: Seymone from Augusta, Georgia Allison from Houston, Texas Isis from Prince George's County, Maryland Mariah from Pendleton, Oregon Kyle from Magnolia, Texas Laura K. from Stanford, Kentucky Eboni from Seattle, Washington Kayla from Rockford, Illinois Dominique from Columbus, Ohio Molly from Olathe, Kansas Shannon from Franklin, Ohio AzMarie from San Fernando Valley, California Alexandria from Newport Beach, California Lisa from Los Angeles, California Angelea from Buffalo, New York Laura L. from Scotia, New York Sheena from Harlem, New York Candace from Brooklyn, New York Bre from Harlem, New York Camille from The Bronx, New York Bianca from Queens, New York
Before season 17 was an Allstars season, it was just a regular season. Some of the 32 girls included Candace, Laura L, AzMarie, Eboni, Kyle, Mariah, Seymone and Molly (a season 16 fake-out girl). Production changed it last minute and everyone last minute accept Molly went on cycle 18. This was confirmed by Molly and AzMarie
cycle 18: Amelia from Port Talbot, Wales Laura from Scotia, New York Eboni from Seattle, Washington Candace from Brooklyn, New York Mariah from Pendleton, Oregon Kyle from Magnolia, Texas AzMarie from San Fernando Valley, California Seymone from Augusta, Georgia Ashley from Armadale, Scotland Alisha from South London, England Jasmia from London, England Sophie from Oxford, England Catherine from Folkestone, England Louise from London, England Annaliese from London, England
There was another American girl that was a semifinalist on cycle 17 and moved to 18. She dropped out, however, before production started. They had to cut a UK girl out to make it more equal and that was Amelia.
cycle 19: Latrishe from Washington D.C Ivory from Whittier, California Nastasia from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania Jamie from Gahanna, Ohio Lauren from Ann Arbor, Michigan Deedra from from Portland, Oregon Jessie from Speedway, Indiana Victoriana from San Diego, California Brittany from Gilbert, Arizona Savanna from East Lansing, Michigan Kiara from Las Vegas, Nevada Allyssa from Fort Lauderdale, Florida Kaci from Moon Township, Pennsylvania Christin from Cook County, Illinois Destiny from Columbus, Ohio Yvonne from Minneapolis, Minnesota Kristin from Jacksonville, Florida Leila from Farmington, Massachusetts Sara from Seattle, Washington Maria from Las Cruces, New Mexico Victoria from Colquitt, Georgia Darian from Baton Rouge, Louisiana Laura from Cambridge, New York Caroline from Awendaw, South Carolina Amber from Sachse, Texas Jasmine from Fort Worth, Texas Briana from Southlake, Texas Andie from San Antonio, Texas Sasha from Dallas, Texas Delaney from Dallas, Texas
These are the hometowns of all the college girls instead of their college cities. Like season 14, Texas was done dirty.

2023.03.30 06:22 antbestfriend The Face of NTM C6 - Week 1 - Elimination
Fifteen gorgeous models enter their second judging of
The Face Cycle 6. This one feels different. There is more of a weight. It is their first elimination...
And all of the floral decor is gone.
Instead the two hosts and Twiggy walk in arguing.
"What do you mean she sued us for every penny?!" Ann shouts.
The models gasp. Ann can shout?
Atoosa types in her calculator, "Yeah, because her daughter entered the competition. Abby wants
everything. Including your hosting position. She already took your flowers and your bees. And she wants Twiggy to replace me."
"Well, I would quite like that."
"SHUT UP, TWIGGY!"
The hosts turn to look at the models. Atoosa tosses the calculator aside.
"Welcome ladies!" Ann says in her usual cheery tone even as tears prick her eyes from the stress. "This week, you all portrayed gorgeous gorgeous people who were all dressed up with absolutely nowhere to go."
"Is that the new prize package now that we're being sued?" Atoosa asks before being hushed. "I mean, you know our prizes! The winner will receive: an international modelling contract with IMG Models AND Next Model Management, a one million dollar contract with MAC cosmetics, and you will become The Face of a brand of your choice! You will also be The Face of my brand Seventeen Again! Finally, you will receive a cover and spread in The Face magazine as well as a cash prize of $500,000!"
The models are unsure if they should clap until a sign blinks telling them to.
"We're going to skip team immunity for now," Ann shares. "As you know, last week, everyone was immune, so the winning team, Team 2, got a half point taken off from their photos. Will that impact results? Let's find out."
"Our first call out continues to shock and amaze us all. This beautiful model is
the fashion time traveler this week, Tilda," Atoosa offers out the
first photo to the model who walks up absolutely speechless. "Congratulations. You will be selecting the next brief and be the leader of Team 1."
Twiggy is the next up as she offers her
photo, "Runner-up for best photo had people falling in love
with her tutu and expression as she found there was nowhere to go. Congratulations, Nadja. You are Team 2's leader."
Ann reveals the
third photo, "Our next photo belongs to
Juju. You were a little divisive this week, but that's okay. We understood that your socks and heels look on a trashed couch meant you had absolutely nowhere else to go."
The next several photos are all called one after another.
Atoosa offers the
fourth photo, "
Audrey, this is angelic."
Twiggy tosses the
fifth, "
You're really starting to see yourself in this competition, Rebecca."
"
Isabeli, you're showing great promise and emotion in this photo," Ann offers out the
sixth photo to the model.
"
It wasn't too far of a stumble, Joan. You still crushed it. People loved your storytelling this week," Atoosa assures the
seventh call out.
Twiggy triumphantly waves the next
photo, "
Malika! Get up here! You were divisive this week, but you would rather have people talking than be ignored."
There is a sigh of relief as Ann reveals the next
photo, "
Jill. You broke the curse."
Another photo, "
I think I saw this shoot in ANTM C20, Jessica. You look good."
Twiggy turns the next
photo over, "
Patricia. Another divisive one."
Ann reveals the next
picture, "
Daiane, you flew under the radar this week."
Three models remain, and only one can be saved from the Bottom 2.
"THANK YOU!" The model exclaims as Atoosa reveals her
photo.
She hurries forward for it as Atoosa speaks, "
I hope a boy never stands you up again because this photo either stole hearts or wanted to stand you up too. You're a strong model. Prove them wrong next week."
Twiggy approaches the final two models with only one photo in hand.
>!Aube and Lineisy take each other's hands and hold tight as they watch the supermodel.!<
"Two models that the camera loves stand before me, but I only have this one picture in my hands. For one of you, your journey ends tonight."
She turns, "We'll start with you,
Aube. This photo was a risk. I thought it was absolutely hilarious that you were in the middle of nowhere. You went to nowhere! However, others said that you were clearly at a destination, and they weren't sure how dressed up you were."
Twiggy looks to the other model, "
Lineisy, your photo faced a similar criticism. People figured you were already at your destination, or you were about to leave since you and the child were dressed up. Unfortunately, it didn't hold the same spark as a similar photo in the competition, and that drew comparison. However, you still met the brief. You had nowhere to go."
Ann speaks up, "Team scores were close this week, so this is a case of immunity potentially saving a player. Let's see the numbers."
The three teams photos appear on the collage as the numbers start rolling. They go up, they go down, they go side to side.
One team fades out and all of the models wrinkle their noses in disappointment.
Only two teams remain.
One more fades.
Twiggy offers the
final photo.
"
Lineisy, even without your team, you would be safe. However, in this game, your team is your greatest support. If they fail, you fall with them here in the bottom 2. Congratulations, you are still in the running to becoming The Face."
The two models hug tight as the saved model walks forward to collect her photo.
Ann goes to comfort the
eliminated model as she sobs in her arms, "There, there.
Did you know you have one of my favorite looks in this entire competition? You submitted your Polaroid and I was like WOW we have to cast Aube! You have the look, and I'm sure you can work it. Come back fighting in comebacks, okay?"
The model sniffles and nods. She goes to hug all of her brand new friends goodbye before turning and exiting the panel room. They would see her again. Then they would all see.

2023.03.30 06:18 LPL-Official LPL Playoffs Preview: A Spring Showdown
LPL playoffs are here! With 10 teams put into the ring, only one can hoist the trophy. Additionally, one other team will join our champion in representing the region at the first newly formatted Mid-Season Invitational! With that being said, hereâs a look at each of our competitors:
10. TEAM WE (WE)
This is a team with a lot of hope! Both metaphorically and literally, with botlaner Hope and his partner Iwandy looking to make a big impact in the coming bracket. A team that looks very solid on paper, with multiple internationally appearing players alongside young rising star Shanks, theyâve unfortunately had a little bit of difficulty really putting things together over the split. However their talent shines through regardless, and they have a lot of potential to make big noise in the coming weeks.
9. ROYAL NEVER GIVE UP (RNG)
How did the former kings of Spring end up here? Well, they did after all lose their trademark âSpring Tigerâ, Xiaohu. However, few expected a lineup that retained much of its MSI-winning core to fall from grace in such a devastating manner. Still anchored by their world-class botlane of GALA and Ming, the team has very little time left to figure out adaptations around Angel as their new midlaner. The clock is ticking - but if RNG hits their stride again, we all know what theyâre capable of.
8. THUNDERTALK GAMING (TT)
TT are one of the real pleasant surprises of 2023. Picking up Worlds finalist huanfeng, the whole squad seemed to just click, especially with their midlaner ucal delivering on his parting promises from last year - where he vowed to take a massive stride forward in the 2023 season. Even with the team choosing to place their faith in opening day jungler Beichuan over the hyped prospect XHR, the results this tough-as-nails group delivered have been beyond what many in the community expected. If they somehow can go far here in the playoffs - speechless is all we can be.
7. TOP ESPORTS (TES)
Collapse is a bit of understatement for what happened towards the end of the split for TES. Starting out the year, they looked like an unstoppable juggernaut - standing squarely in the race for the best team in the LPL. A lineup featuring legends like Rookie and Jackeylove, anyone questioning them was considered a lunatic.
Then in Week 8, it all changed. The team rattled off 5 straight series losses, even including a disastrous sweep at the hands of 14th place LGD. Confidence in the team was shattered, and confidence within the team equally so. Now heading into the playoffs, it remains to be seen if they have the resolve to power ahead, or if the downward spiral only continuesâŠ
6. OH MY GOD (OMG)
It seems all it took to get Oh My God to a second-round playoff seed was adding a holy man to the roster. After swapping long-time veteran support COLD for a fitting namesake in ppgod, the roster which barely scraped its way into competitiveness last year is now a real threat. The scariest thing is that the teamâs star players are still incredibly young with a lot of room to grow. At the rate that Shanji and Creme are maturing in the LPL, this lineup could be a force which stays at the upper half for the foreseeable future. Even if this playoffs they donât take the title, disappointment wonât be warranted - and if they do, then all the merrier.
5. BILIBILI GAMING (BLG)
BLGâs massive roster overhaul has brought them incredible success this year, much of it coming off the blossoming of an LPL star in their ADC Elk. When one looks just at the names here, Bin - XUN - Yagao - Elk - ON, they see a collection of some of the most hyped prospects of the past half decade of the LPL. And whether they had previously panned out or not, they have all ended up here.
The only trip up they face comes from their cohesion. A lot has been said about the teamâs supposed inability to adapt, especially coming from their toplaner. But have no doubts - pure talent alone can absolutely make this group a real championship contender.
4. WEIBO GAMING (WBG)
Who didnât have WBG as one of the top 4 headed into the year? This was an obvious choice for many reasons. You have a solid collection of proven talent, alongside one of the highest-peak players of all time in TheShy.
And while TheShy of course by himself adds a massive variation to the play in the team, the veteranship and stability from almost every other position goes miles in offsetting this effect, and bringing this Weibo team to the place they deserve. We hope that this group of international legends can once again make their way to MSI, and they 100% are in the running to do so.
3. LNG ESPORTS (LNG)
Okay, now this one was somewhat unexpected. While you did have undoubtedly one of the strongest mid-jungle duos in Scout and Tarzan, a lot of people questioned the ability of their surrounding players: Zika, Hang, and LP. Time however has proven that all players on this roster are capable in their own right, leading them to a wonderful third place seed.
The question now comes to a matter of experience. Can these three former question marks stand up to the pressure of playoffs? Scout is no doubt one of the most talented midlaners - now his talent as a leader is up to the plate.
2. EDWARD GAMING (EDG)
After just touching on Scout, we now reach the team that suffered his and Viperâs departure. So many analysts thought that losing their two premier carries was a death blow to the team, but they were one hundred percent wrong.
After promoting one of the LDLâs top prospects in Leave to the main roster, and taking a gander on a previously declining Fofo, EDGâs massive risks have paid off enormously in 2023. Leave has proven himself to be an LPL-ready talent and star in the making, and Fofo had a miraculous rebound year. Now EDG is ready to re-enter the World stage, and incredibly - just as dangerous as before.
1. JINGDONG GAMING (JDG)
The âSuperteamâ reigns supreme after all. A roster that was built for international success, itâs not a surprise to see them claim the top spot in the LPL. There is not a single player on the team that isnât a renowned world class talent. 369. Kanavi. knight. Ruler. Missing. They are a terrifying leviathan whose only goal is to rip apart whatever unfortunate team is placed before them - and with that said, they are the premier favorites to claim the LPL title. And hopefully, bring the MSI Cup back to LPL as well.

2023.03.30 06:12 TurdMasherTed [WA] Oil Change Place (National Chain) overtighted my oil filter then destroyed it trying to remove it. Now my car isn't drivable.
Oil change place I've been going to for years overtightened my oil filter on my last visit. When I went in today, they freaked out about how tight it was and asked where I went previously before discovering they were the ones who performed the last change and it was one of their filters.
Apparently it was insanely tight and 2 hours later they weren't able to remove it. I could hear them discussing how it was crushed, leaking and not moving.
After two hours I told them I would just have it towed to the dealership to have it fixed. They called the manager of the location who kept trying to pressure me to let them fix it or leave it with them overnight which I declined.
I'm going to get it towed tomorrow (I left it at the oil change place) and I contacted my insurance but I doubt they're going to cover something the shop did. I also confirmed I didn't have towing coverage so it looks like I'll be paying for this all (at least initially) out of pocket.
Question - Whats the best way to come out of this whole? Will the shop have insurance for this kind of thing? Is it a good idea to get the car towed to the dealership and have an estimate made for a repair? (Assuming a repair is possible)
Kinda lost on how best to proceed.
