November 1st 2022. I woke up without a thought that our lives will change forever, I had gotten dressed and ready for work, I made myself a coffee and made my daughter (18 months) a bottle, a routine I had been doing for over a year, my daughter normally starts rattling her cott at this time, I thought it was eerily quiet, a few seconds before I went into her room, I had the most horrific nightmare play in my mind before I found her.
That nightmare became reality in the following seconds, she was lying down peacefully, then I realized she wasn't breathing, I picked her up and screamed for my partner, she was so cold, rigour had already set in and I still tried to resuscitate her, I passed her to my partner and called emergency services.
Police arrived over an hour after I had found her. The Sgt made me undress her for photographs and questioned me on what looked to be bruising all down her side.
I couldn't believe it, I was in shock, and being treated like a suspect, I responded I had never seen that before, along with multiple other questions.
Me and my partner were separated and interviewed individually, the thoughts of being asked some of the questions we were asked was devastating, our Boy (3 Years) was completely checked over head to toe. Once the paramedics arrived, they confirmed the "bruising" was blood under her skin due to post mortem.
The Sgt then said to us that they require to take our baby girl to perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death due to the nature it is it is a suspicious death, we wrapped our baby girl in her blanket and had to put her into a body bag, we were left without any answers following the autopsy. It was classed as an undetermined death, similar to SIDS but could not be classed as SIDS due to her age.
She was such a happy little girl, she was walking, running, laughing, smiling all the time.
My partner is doing great, she is stronger then I am, she says it's for our boy.
I am broken, devastated, words can not express my pain and suffering since, I am having horrific nightmares and flashbacks and triggers to the point I just curl up into a ball and try to sleep.
I am doing Counselling and I've started going to a suicide group, the hardest part is feeling like I'm dealing with this on my own with no support from my partner, I know everyone grieves differently, she decided to go see a lawyer and unfortunately due to the lawyer not explaining stuff properly I was summoned with protection orders to protect her and my Boy due to the Trauma I was dealing with.
I have since been forced by the courts to undertake a angeviolence course which I've been further subjected to other men whom have actually caused harm to there children/partners all while grieving the loss of my daughter.

I couldn't believe it, I was in shock, and being treated like a suspect, I responded I had never seen that before, along with multiple other questions.
Me and my partner were separated and interviewed individually, the thoughts of being asked some of the questions we were asked was devastating, our Boy (3 Years) was completely checked over head to toe. Once the paramedics arrived, they confirmed the "bruising" was blood under her skin due to post mortem.
The Sgt then said to us that they require to take our baby girl to perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death due to the nature it is it is a suspicious death, we wrapped our baby girl in her blanket and had to put her into a body bag, we were left without any answers following the autopsy. It was classed as an undetermined death, similar to SIDS but could not be classed as SIDS due to her age.
She was such a happy little girl, she was walking, running, laughing, smiling all the time.
My partner is doing great, she is stronger then I am, she says it's for our boy.
I am broken, devastated, words can not express my pain and suffering since, I am having horrific nightmares and flashbacks and triggers to the point I just curl up into a ball and try to sleep.
I am doing Counselling and I've started going to a suicide group, the hardest part is feeling like I'm dealing with this on my own with no support from my partner, I know everyone grieves differently, she decided to go see a lawyer and unfortunately due to the lawyer not explaining stuff properly I was summoned with protection orders to protect her and my Boy due to the Trauma I was dealing with.
I have since been forced by the courts to undertake a angeviolence course which I've been further subjected to other men whom have actually caused harm to there children/partners all while grieving the loss of my daughter.

Hi. I’ve had a lot to think about the past few days, and am seeking advice/answers/support/perspectives/clarity. Hopefully this is a good place to ask about this. Sorry for brick wall, TLDR at the bottom.
After graduating college in 2022, I moved and started a full-time job in September. Since then, I’ve been going through a very difficult phase in life. I’ve felt like when that unfamiliar phase of life started that a metaphorical mountain of shit was dropped on me all at once, and that since then, I have been drowning in it and trying very hard to slowly climb out of it. I returned to Therapy on January (finding a new one in a new state sucks). Some other context of my life circumstances: I work for a tech company in a new city, and I have no interest in my job; I live alone there (for the first time, turns out I’m terrible at that) and my job is fairly remote. I’ve been traveling a lot the past few months, working in other places where I have friends, and trying to live more presently in that space instead of at work. I had already decided that I plan to stick it out through my 1st year (one year on a resume and signing bonus), and doing this helped me get to a more stable place to a point, though in many ways it’s probably made some things worse, bc it’s harder to focus on my job and many other responsibilities; it’s been more of an escape.
Since I returned to therapy, I do feel like I’ve been slowly slowly improving and am in a better place now than where I was, but it often feels like 2 steps forward 3 steps back. I feel like there’s a million balls in the air, and when I try to focus to lift one of them higher, 2 more come falling back down. Since January, I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, in addition to having been diagnosed with anxiety and OCD in the past 2-3 years. Therapy has helped in a lot of ways, especially earlier, and I’ve learned a lot about myself and how stuff like my upbringing affects me today. But more recently, I feel like therapy has not been too effective. I’ve been trying to work on my executive functioning, but it feels like no matter what I do I’ve not been able to improve. Part of me really tries to convince myself that I should get work done, but it feels like a deeper more fundamental part of me completely rejects it. Like I truly don’t believe doing that work is more valuable than some other thing I could do, and trying to force myself to live in the framework that supposedly if I could would allow me to succeed in my job and other endeavors is pretty much impossible. More recently it’s been more extreme; I’ll go a couple days taking way too much adderall and hardly sleeping at all because I gotta finish this amount of work that’s reasonable to compete in a day, and then I will somehow not have done hardly any work that whole time. Even though I’m sacrificing my physical health so much to do so.
The other day, I came across a short video about autistic burnout, which lead me to a 1.5 hour long lecture called “Transition to Adulthood – Autistic Burnout and the Costs of Coping and Passing” by Dora Raymaker. This felt like an epiphany. For the entire lecture, I felt like she was describing exactly what I had been feeling, and related with pretty much every single bullet point. She put into words how I’ve felt the last 8 months, and gave me a feeling of incredible clarity. I felt I immediately understood what was going on in my brain, like suddenly it all made sense. Before, I felt like there was a million separate things all falling a part in my life, and to get them all back into place and rebuild a sustainable life was so daunting, whereas now I feel I see it more clearly that it’s all connected. Like a fog has been lifted from in front of my brain, everything clicked.
I even sent the video to my dad and called him because I was so happy to finally be understood in what I’m going through, because I’d been talking to him about it so much, but never felt like I could effectively communicate it until now. I can’t overemphasize the innate feeling of understanding I’ve felt since, like it’s night and day. So I ask, where do I go from here? If I am going through Autistic Burnout, I guess that means I’m Autistic. I’ve given serious thought to it the past year, but this has brought me to the point where I clearly need to act on this. And here I am. I want to talk to my therapist about it, but he’s on vacation for most of the month. Maybe I can contact my old one, or maybe I should contact and Autism specialist directly.
I also want to know what you guys think. I obviously don’t want to draw any incorrect conclusions. And honestly, I’m really frightened that I am incorrect. After graduating college in 2022, I moved and started a full-time job in September. Since then, I’ve been going through a very difficult phase in life. I’ve felt like when that unfamiliar phase of life started that a metaphorical mountain of shit was dropped on me all at once, and that since then, I have been drowning in it and trying very hard to slowly climb out of it. I returned to Therapy on January (finding a new one in a new state sucks). Some other context of my life circumstances: I work for a tech company in a new city, and I have no interest in my job; I live alone there (for the first time, turns out I’m terrible at that) and my job is fairly remote. I’ve been traveling a lot the past few months, working in other places where I have friends, and trying to live more presently in that space instead of at work. I had already decided that I plan to stick it out through my 1st year (one year on a resume and signing bonus), and doing this helped me get to a more stable place to a point, though in many ways it’s probably made some things worse, bc it’s harder to focus on my job and many other responsibilities; it’s been more of an escape.
Since I returned to therapy, I do feel like I’ve been slowly slowly improving and am in a better place now than where I was, but it often feels like 2 steps forward 3 steps back. I feel like there’s a million balls in the air, and when I try to focus to lift one of them higher, 2 more come falling back down. Since January, I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, in addition to having been diagnosed with anxiety and OCD in the past 2-3 years. Therapy has helped in a lot of ways, especially earlier, and I’ve learned a lot about myself and how stuff like my upbringing affects me today. But more recently, I feel like therapy has not been too effective. I’ve been trying to work on my executive functioning, but it feels like no matter what I do I’ve not been able to improve. Warmer weather has arrived and, as anticipated, the encampments in Allan Gardens have increased to the highest number there have ever been, 40 structures - not including the tents supporting the Sacred Fire.
Let me be very clear, this is not at all about the Sacred Fire and the tents associated with it. There are about eight tents associated with the Sacred Fire. I am supportive of and respect Indigenous ceremony and will continue to work with our colleagues in the Indigenous Affairs Office with respect to managing the Sacred Fire program in Allan Gardens.
This public park has become a private party grounds with music blaring, regular campfires, and rampant open drug dealing day and night. The park is unsafe for everyone. There have been sexual assaults, stabbings, and overdoses happening regularly. Residents have reported to me that they have witnessed and experienced racist, sexist, and homophobic verbal attacks, intimidation, as well as aggressive and violent behaviour, including physical assault. I have personally experienced this as well, on my own walks through the park.
Earlier this year, I was hopeful as some progress was made. At one point, the park was down to 16 structures (not including the tents supporting the Sacred Fire) and 11 people; 24/7 corporate security was deployed; and on the west side of the park after Streets to Homes services have been refused new encampments are removed immediately.
I believe I have done everything within my power as a City Councillor to compel City staff to prioritize those living in the encampments in Allan Gardens for shelter and housing. I have walked through the park with city outreach staff to witness the challenges firsthand. I made numerous suggestions including opening up additional spaces at Seaton House as well as in nearby Toronto Community Housing buildings as soon as I took office in November 2022. I have convened regular Allan Gardens Task Force meetings with senior City staff from several departments including the City Manager, Deputy City Manager, Office of Emergency Management, Shelter Support and Housing Administration (SSHA), Indigenous Affairs Office, Parks, Forestry, and Recreation, Toronto Police, and Toronto Fire for the purpose of prioritizing the park and escalating outreach operations so the park may be enjoyed by everyone this summer. Allan Gardens is the largest encampment in the City of Toronto and deserves direct and immediate attention.
We all know that the only solution to address homelessness is through permanent housing and City staff have tried using the Dufferin Grove model, as recommended by the City Ombudsman.
Unfortunately, this model has been taken advantage of by a small group of people who are actively obstructing outreach efforts, evading outreach staff, or outright declining all shelter and housing offers altogether. Our exhaustive efforts now conclude me to believe we are wasting city resources on prolonged and ineffective “engagement”, rather than providing a framework that would ensure the safe transition into stable shelter even in the event of refusal of services.
Without City staff taking concrete and regular enforcement actions, the City is actively sanctioning this park as an encampment site. Everyone in the park has either been engaged by SSHA staff on numerous occasions or has declined offers of housing or shelter. It is time to enforce our bylaws and make it a safe destination once again for local residents, families and anyone who wishes to enjoy all that this destination park in the heart of our downtown has to offer.
I really appreciate the support that has come in from residents regarding my approach and the work my office has done so far. I am committed to continuing my bi-weekly Allan Gardens Task Force meetings to ensure this remains urgent and top of mind for city staff."

I made numerous suggestions including opening up additional spaces at Seaton House as well as in nearby Toronto Community Housing buildings as soon as I took office in November 2022. I have convened regular Allan Gardens Task Force meetings with senior City staff from several departments including the City Manager, Deputy City Manager, Office of Emergency Management, Shelter Support and Housing Administration (SSHA), Indigenous Affairs Office, Parks, Forestry, and Recreation, Toronto Police, and Toronto Fire for the purpose of prioritizing the park and escalating outreach operations so the park may be enjoyed by everyone this summer. Allan Gardens is the largest encampment in the City of Toronto and deserves direct and immediate attention.
We all know that the only solution to address homelessness is through permanent housing and City staff have tried using the Dufferin Grove model, as recommended by the City Ombudsman.
Unfortunately, this model has been taken advantage of by a small group of people who are actively obstructing outreach efforts, evading outreach staff, or outright declining all shelter and housing offers altogether. Our exhaustive efforts now conclude me to believe we are wasting city resources on prolonged and ineffective “engagement”, rather than providing a framework that would ensure the safe transition into stable shelter even in the event of refusal of services.
Without City staff taking concrete and regular enforcement actions, the City is actively sanctioning this park as an encampment site. Everyone in the park has either been engaged by SSHA staff on numerous occasions or has declined offers of housing or shelter. It is time to enforce our bylaws and make it a safe destination once again for local residents, families and anyone who wishes to enjoy all that this destination park in the heart of our downtown has to offer.
I really appreciate the support that has come in from residents regarding my approach and the work my office has done so far. I am committed to continuing my bi-weekly Allan Gardens Task Force meetings to ensure this remains urgent and top of mind for city staff."

With the dark angels now having access to sternguard and vanguard, theres seems to be some confusion about their role in regards to the inner circle and their paint scheme, especially with newer players as our chapter organization is not very straightforward as most chapters. So I thought I’d try to clear it up for new people who just want a straight answer. This is not to discourage people to paint their models as they see fit but to clear up some questions I’ve seen floating around regarding chapter organization and paint schemes, and who gets to be members of the inner circle.
Company Veterans: company veterans are not the same as sternguard. They’re senior members of battle company who have not been promoted to the ravenwing or deathwing but have distinguished themselves above the normal battle brother. Though they are respected for their experience, they have not been indoctrinated into the circle for whatever reason. This is why they are painted in green as they are still members of the battle company greenwing.
Ravenwing: The average member of the 2nd company has not been indoctrinated fully into the inner circle but are on their way, being told only half truths. Those that show promise are promoted.
Black Knights: The black knights are members of the inner circle. That way if the deathwing are not available, there are members of the company that can still be trusted to capture the fallen when necessary.
Deathwing: All members of the deathwing are indoctrinated as one of their primary purposes within the chapter is to hunt and capture fallen. This includes terminators, blade guard, and sternguard/vanguard veterans. Now although all members have access to terminator armor and are trained to use it, this doesn’t mean they can only use terminator armor. There may be a situation where terminator is not the best suited so a brother of the 1st may choose to wear tactical armor such as in the case of the sternguard. The Dark Angels simply have the ability to field a whole company of terminator armor, where most chapters simply do not posses enough sets of to do so. So as members of the inner circle, sternguard and vanguard would have their armor painted in bone not green like company vets.
DW Knights: The only real separation between brothers in the deathwing are the knights. They are trained to be the ones to physically detain dangerous fallen and escort them to the interrogators in the rock’s dungeons. Company Masters are selected from knight masters who show a good sense of leadership. Usually returning to company which they served in before.

40F 190 lbs. mirena IUD. Gastric bypass in July 2022. Taking lots of vitamins and supplements but no prescription meds.
My resting heart rate is normally between 57-61. Since June 1st, it has increased steadily from 58 to 68. For reference, my RHR hasn’t been higher than 62 in over a year.
This morning, I fainted, and had light heart palpitations for about 20 minutes. After that, I felt ok to go about my day, except now I have diarrhea and a mildly upset stomach. I’m not sure if that’s related or not.
I just took my BP and it’s 113/65. A bit lower than it usually is but not significantly so.
Is there any cause for alarm?

Support for Elevator Repair
In October 2022, the passenger elevator that serves our 4-story building and our neighbor’s building stopped working. Months were then spent exploring why it failed, possible solutions and choosing who to make the repairs followed. We have explored grants and there are none that pays for elevators. To make matters worse, there have been many surprising obstacles for the repairmen. The price tag continues to rise from the initial quote of $107,000 to now well over $275,000 and the elevator still has not been restored. The lack of an elevator has impacted our business significantly.
Help us raise money to pay for the elevator repairs. We don’t yet know the final price tag. Our part will be ¼ the final cost which at this point is at least $75,000. We share the elevator with 311 Water and other owners of our building, 305 Water.

Offering a surreal but personal form of reality, Preston’s energetic work is filled with stylized figures inspired from nature and childhood experiences. This series of paintings reads like chapters from a fantastic memoir. Preston is also busy with commissions and continues to garner accolades with the City of Decatur naming a park after him. The exhibit will culminate with his special presentation at the 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Sunday, June 18th, 6:30-8:30pm.

23 years ago, Delavan artist Morgan Elser discovered her passion for creating in three dimensions and has since explored many mediums including bronze, fiber, stone, stainless steel and found objects.
As she progresses, a story also unfolds. The Giving Tree, a 21’ tall stainless-steel sculpture, was unveiled in Morton IL in 2017.

Vera Scekic: Synthetic Being

Vera Scekic is especially fond of manipulating paint as it surrenders to gravity. Her playful works evoke biotic forms growing like microbial blooms in petri dishes. Scekic has exhibited throughout the country and runs a contemporary art gallery (OS Projects) in Racine, Wisconsin.
Besides live music and complimentary snacks and drinks, the reception will feature a flower sculpture by Kira Santiago that can only be seen at the reception.

Artist Preston Jackson, founder of the Contemporary Art Center of Peoria, will share insights into his paintings on display in the gallery. Other speakers include Romando Dixson, Executive Editor of Peoria Journal Star, Whitney Jensen, spoken word poet and co-host of Whisper & Shout: Open Mic for Poetry and Carl Adams, author of "Nance: Trials of the First Slave Freed by Abraham Lincoln."
In-between speakers, music will be performed by Judy Page, Preston Jackson and their band.
