We were scammed out of $2,770 via a very convincing “we will be arresting you for not showing for jury duty unless you post a bond” scam. Even though we realized it was a scam shortly after contacting the local sheriff and within ONE HOUR notified the bank (Capital One) and local police. To date, the bank has refused to refund the money (we’re still appealingly the denial). We have most of the call recorded and all the paperwork associated with the payment, etc. QUESTIONS: 1) can I sue the bank? 2) Can I legitimately claim this as a loss on my income tax. Thanks!

So I marked the ELC players just so we can see who can be sent down to the AHL and clear waivers.
With that in mind, I really don't see us being close to be competitive this next year with our foward group. I really would like to see if HuGo can make something happen this summer along the lines of moving 1 D out (IMO Joel Edmunson, don't touch David and Michael) with a good prospect to go fetch a good top 6 winger on the market, or simply PLD since every rumor since to be around him. This would solidify our forward group and maybe leave enough space for our young D core to continue growing. There is still some great RFA in our pool that need to be adressed like RHP (plz keep him up full time this year) or Teasdale (AHL bound).
What are the moves you guys would do, with the space we have left? We have a projected cap space of 725 834.00$ with Price and 11 225 834.00$ without Price (LTIR).
Seems to me that this summer might be really calm if managment play it passively and simply wait, but trading our Panther's 1st round pick could really help move some players. If you look at the Jets Capfriendly page, they could be interested in a Primeau, Forward (Josh Anderson?) and Panther's pick for PLD to maybe have a last go with their core group. I'm putting BJA here in the trade simply because he's one the most attractive trade piece we have, people saying otherwise are just shitting on a fantastic player and person.

I’m so scared i’m going to catch it and that the germs are just flying everywhere and i’m breathing them in. I wouldn’t be so scared if my graduation wasn’t this saturday, and I have a presentation to give on friday in order to even walk at graduation. I’m SO scared i’ll catch what he has and not get to walk at graduation.
Am I going to catch it from breathing or being around him? Has that ever happened to anyone? I’m in my sisters room right now (they’re not here) so hopefully none of the germs are in here. If he had NV, would he be v* a lot? He hasn’t in the time i’ve been here, but who knows how much he did before I got here.
I just got here about 20 minutes ago and saw him on the couch with a bowl and towel on the floor next to him. I asked if he stayed home sick and he said yea. I went to my dads bathroom because I hope that one doesn’t have any of the germs.
I’m also scared because I was here yesterday before he got sick, and I touched my eyes and my nose (i have bad allergies right now) and I don’t know if maybe my hands were contaminated.
Any advice or anyone who has similar experiences are very welcome to comment. It helps knowing people who have been in similar situations and didn’t get sick, or even people who did and how they got through it.

- And also, without my SO I would have quit a long time ago, but with very expensive consequences.
Background:
First week of 2023 I started with my new job for bus driver, the company gave the chance for me to get my bus driver’s license and I would at least work for 3 years and after those 3 years I could go my own way if I wanted to.
I started with 5 others, we helped each other, had 3 - 4 exams, during that time I purchased a online program to get more practice test for the exams. Well, I went through those tests at all the first attempts (thank god, because I definitely underestimated it). I shared my account and it helped and eventually everyone got through the first phase (January) . During the first phase we had several instructors, and our main instructor “AH” (fake name XD) was…. Well to keep it civil, not nice and behaved like a king.
Then we got to the driving lessons Phase two (February)……. AH was thankfully not my driving instructor I got a colleague of him, and they were close “C”. At first nothing was wrong, first-time jitters, I was too careful at first but that was to be expected because a bus can cause a disaster when not handled properly.
Unfortunately, after my second lesson there was a dead in the family that hit harder than I expected, so I called for that lesson to be rescheduled, no problem and done. And I thought I was done for that day. Some crying and happy movies and being there for my SO, because it was his uncle.
Well just a few hours later I received an e-mail for a meeting, about my progress and future job. I wrote a email about the dead and that I didn’t know when the funeral was etc. I was able to go to the meeting.
Yeah, the meeting…. (With assistant manager (AM) and HR dude) Well first I was late apparently for 10 minutes, I read the wrong time so that sucked. Got a lecture about time, time time, Jada Jada (I think it was my 3rd time through my whole life I was late, my second time was cause of someone jumped in front of my train) I prefer to be awfully early. But anyways back to the meeting, I informed them again that I had a dead in the family and was still in mourning (they also received that email, and it was like the heard it for the first time). I asked them if that is the reason for this meeting, because it was only a few hours after I called my lesson off.
They said no it was of some complaints….. I said oke, what kind of complaints because nobody spoken to me about it. Well, you remember AH? He made a list(just him). I’m overweight and working on it everyone knows it and sees it.... everyone knows I can have 1 night I can eat a favorite dish without counting anything. I shared that I had a pizza (this was the day before an exam, so studying and I was home alone and not in the mood for cooking), because they know. …. It was a disgrace I had a pizza, your are not being “vital”blah bla blah” a whole speech I really think he looked something up to say “And that even they could eat an WHOLE pizza”….. we have pizza’s from 20 to I think 50 cm here, 20 cm is not big, it’s the size of a supermarket pizza maybe smaller.
- So the first complaint was I ate a pizza.
- Second complaint: I do not have respect for the instructors. Gob smacked……
- The third complaint struck hard on my integrity, because I want to help people, I’m doing it all my life. The complaint was, I made it for my fellow future colleagues a living hell. This was the moment I was MEGA gob smacked…. I literally didn’t know how to react.
After a couple of seconds, I just stared to ask questions( and ugly crying unfortunately not my best moment), who and why, because I was a month in and nobody told me, and AH had said in the mail that the others where to scarred to talk to me….? I’m not a bogeywoman, for some reason I always end up as the “caring mom” in the group. And some point I just blatantly asked if it was AH that made the complaints… and they couldn’t say that, but I knew enough.
After al that shit and me still crying 1 of them gave his opinion about me but tried to form it as a question. “You don’t give me the feeling of being happy with this job” . I just looked at him, I’m not driving the bus on this moment (my brain added, or you would probably be dead right now, thank god my anger could keep that on the inside). That was the end of that meeting.
I went crying home and a hour later I had my driving lesson again. I had told C that I had that meeting and she asked about it and I just went right back into ugly crying. She was shocked and angry, what the hell were they thinking…. From what it looked like she was ready to kick someone in the A. (unfortunately I found out later she was the one who told about something What AH saw a no respect to the instructors, the part about being to careful, I was saying yeah but.. those bikers or I don’t know what that car was going to do, etc.) This was common for everyone in the first days of driving lessons in a bus, so she felt guilty to me and angry to AH.
I couldn’t lose that feeling it kept bugging me and I had good contact with my fellow colleagues, so I tried the casually ask about it and that opened some doors. Everyone knew about it but didn’t know it was me…... well now they knew and were pissed, because I helped them. And found out that I wasn’t the only one who wanted nothing to do with “AH”. Even got info from groups who started a month earlier and made complaints about him.
The Revenge:
So I called the “education department” because I wanted it in writing that I don’t have the see his ass anymore. And OMG, apparently, they had heard about my “meeting” and they actually called all the other instructors I had for the first phase and they didn’t recognize me in those complaints… hallelujah! And mister AH had 8 to 9 complaints on his name from 8 to 9 different people (mostly women).
This was the moment I was going for mutual destruction, I already had a “bad name” because of AH so what the hell…! Only problem I had to keep in mind that I don’t do anything crazy that they could use for me getting fired, or otherwise I would have to pay everything back. So I needed to be careful.
So just keeping my cool started to talk to the other instructors and they also found out about all the complaints and also didn’t know it was me. Found out that ALL THE INSTRUCTORS (exept for C) hate AH, his way for instructing was years 60/70 style, he had the gall to say to 1 of his students to hit him with an iron pointer(a telescopic thing and point at something) if that student would do something again he didn’t like. But that was just 1 of the stories I heard. And started to encourage other people who had problems with AH to make a complaint as well at the education department.
The only thing I knew is that I wouldn’t get him for my driving exams and after more an more complaint kept coming in he was never scheduled for an exam again, nobody wanted him. Some of the higher ups wanted to contact me for the story, they were free and had my number. Never heard from them again.
First time of my driving exam I flunked, because before I had the exam AH had the nerv to come by and “wish me luck” (this was the moment that I started to think I definitely need therapy, but I was stubborn), so failed that day. Called to complain again to the education department Second time 2 week later I passed thank God and no AH before my exam. So, phase 2(first week March) was done.
Now was the moment for my transfer to my location of work, because of being short staffed it took longer, and at some point, I knew I needed help because I couldn’t digest the meeting that I had in February. So I wanted someone to talk to in this country we have laws, and you can ask for an inhouse doctor or a confidant. No question asked, because a inhouse doctor needs to evaluate if it is necessary. And they denied through email, BINGO. Later I got a email for signing my contract and talking about why I need to see a inhouse doctor, BINGO again, we have LAWS they cant ask for medical information.
My lawyer on this moment was happy with just this evidence. But I still wanted to work as a bus driver. So I went for my contract and they(not the same people from my first meeting, they just heard the “beautiful parts”) asked, how did it al go. And the stupid AH I am by not going to therapy, I broke down and threw everything on the table. The AH, not checking if he was right, all the other complaints, etc.
Even the part about my lawyer, that I wanted advice “how to handle the situation”. Now they were gob smacked and silent for a few minutes, while I was in full ugly cry. They asked questions, how and why, etc. Eventually I asked, Why do you think you know better then my lifestyle coach, personal trainer or dietician? Because HR dude knew about it, I was upfront about it and he still hired me. Silent again, this was the moment the manager asked if he could be excused. After this it went fast, they were gonna fix the contract signed it a week later.
After this, I called my therapist for an appointment and some EMDR. And now writing this I’m just thinking why the hell didn’t I go sooner, but that’s afterwards and can’t change that anymore.
When I wanted to sign the contract is heard from colleagues that AH was fired as an instructor and demoted to bus driver, because apparently he wasn’t fit to be a instructor. I was in full happy clapping happiness, I couldn’t reep the benefits anymore but the future bus drivers could, so that’s 1 was going in my head, ready for number 2, mister AM.
Started my mentoring(half of April), I drove on the work schedule of a bus driver, to learn the routes or how to work the system, etc. My mentor was awesome and bored, not in personality but he didn’t have to do much, sometimes I would ask “I need to turn left here if I’m correct?” so usually just a yes or a no would suffice. After a few days, my mentor said that my new AM wanted a meeting, probably that you can drive solo now. I needed 1 instruction day for some bus lines that I didn’t know, but could be handled in 1 day, because I was a quick study.
I went to the meeting (the beginning of May)and got fired, gob smacked again, only complements no complaints, because they found out that AH complaints were bogus. At first they said it was my behavior, so I asked “what behavior?” and then they switched to not being a match. But I think its damage control because I don’t have to pay for my driver’s license.
And I signed a contract that only in death I don’t have to pay for my driver’s license, and not death! Hahaha
But now a month later my mentor helped me to get a job interview for Thursday, a few towns over, so I think I’m going to be fine, it is in my old hometown plus point to that. And can’t wait to drive through the open country!

(Spoilers for P5R and P4G)

I'm of the belief that a game can only start becoming truly great on its second run. The first attempt has a lot of advantage that can cloud one's perspective of its quality; innovative gameplay and story can mask other failures in the game. As such, I affirm that it’s upon the second and subsequent playthroughs that one is able to properly judge the execution of many elements of the game with the benefit of insight. Following this personal criteria, Persona 5 Royal passes the test with flying colors. I’ve played it thrice as of 2023; twice for myself and once with my sister who provided the perspective of a newbie. Each time, it gets better, with tears falling down my cheeks at the final battle against Maruki and the heartbreaking ending. Anyways, some time ago I completed Persona 4 Golden on my pc, and recently we managed to finish the game together on the Switch. My conclusion is as follows: While I believe the game held up fairly well on the second run, there were several disappointments and failures that lessened my enjoyment of the game on the first run, which were then exacerbated on the second attempt. In this post (I may tackle more latter) I'll review the main cast of P4G:
Excellent: Let's begin with the characters that were absolutely fantastic and I would describe them as being of the same level of quality as the main cast of P5R.
Yosuke Hanamura: A loyal, very likeable, and trustworthy friend whose always got your back yet is troubled by his past failures and the death of a close friend. Jokey, fun to be around, and immensely compelling, these are the qualities that I loved about Ryuji in P5R, and Yosuke carries all of them into this game. Additionally, he starts the game with a fantastic yet intimate personal conflict with his feelings of isolation in the town of Inaba and his desire for companionship and adventure. The death of his Senpai Saki takes us into an emotional rollercoaster that is developed in both his section of Yukiko’s dungeon and the ranks of his social link. I love the conclusion of his SL, when he releases all of his bottled-up sadness and frustration, as wells as jealousy and feelings of inferiority into an epic battle; his story culminates with him thanking you for being there to see both the best and worst of him and accepting him for who he is. Excellent. Bonus: Since it’s pride month, I’d like to add that I would’ve loved for Yosuke to be a gay option for Narukami, as I believe his development could have easily evolved into genuine romantic feelings for the protagonist.
Kanji Tatsumi: He’s 100 percent the absolute biggest surprise for me in this game. Prior to picking up the game, I was aware of the some of the “discourse” surrounding Kanji; I did not know what the discussions were about, just that there was allegedly some controversy regarding the writing for his character that may have been related to the LGBT community. Regardless of what the “discourse” may be, it is with great pleasure that I get to say that Kanji is a strong contestant for one of the best characters in fiction that I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He manages to balance a perfect mixture of sweet, kind, wholesome, endearing energy of a young boy learning who he is, combined with a more aggressive, hotheaded, and reckless personality that creates lots of personal conflict. His journey of self-acceptance has to be one of the absolute best things I’ve ever experienced, magnifically combining simple execution and complex/layered themes. His dungeon is a fantastic and outlandish display of his insecurities and setbacks, which he must overcome if he is to live without shame. Finally, every single one of his ranks in his SL is great, there’s not a single one that feels dragged out or unnecessary; each and every one is focused, compelling and fascinating, revealing much about himself and how he intents to grow as a person. Excellent.
Rise Kujikawa: Another absolutely fantastic character. Nuance, complex, compelling, lovable, these are just a few of the words that come to mind whenever I think of Rise Kujikawa. The contract between the manufactured Risette created for the sole purpose of selling as many consumer goods as possible, and the simple and troubled girl Rise that’s loss grasp of who she is creates a wonderful treat that enriches the mind. Additionally, Rise has to be one of the most likable, funny, accepting, and understanding characters in the game, while also being a little full of herself and manipulative (in an endearing way). A great and outlandish dungeon serves as the perfect foil to a very personal and intimate struggle to understand herself. My favorite part of her character has to be her SL, which explores how being an idol affected her mental and emotional development. In the beginning, we are able to see Rise as she wants to be seen, just a simple, normal, kind, and flirtatious girl, perhaps like many others around you. But throughout it, she’s constantly haunted by her idol life, taunted with what she could still have as the perfect Risette that can charm all hearts. I love how heartbroken and full of despair she is when it’s revealed how easily she can be replaced and abandoned, and how it compels her to reflect upon the reasons she wanted to become an idol, and of what good she can do by being one. It’s because of this wonderful and excellent character development that I always choose to romance Rise whenever I play the game, no other girl had such a compelling character arc, and she stands firm as one of the best characters in the Persona series. Excellent.
Very Good: This category is for characters that don’t quite reach the level of writing and execution as P5R but are still pretty good.
Naoto: Falling just short of my personal favorites we have the Detective Prince. I'm glad we were given an ample amount of time to get to know "him" as the intelligent, mysterious, and meddlesome detective in Inaba, just to flip the script to reveal her feminine side. Not a particularly surprising turn of events, but it was well executed and provided a fascinating look into her inner struggles. While similar to Kanji in many ways, I did find his journey of self-acceptance more interesting and compelling than hers, though still great in her own way. Speaking of Kanji, these two are just perfect for each other and I will never get in between them, nor would I ever dream of taking Naoto away from Kanji, so no romantic option for me, ever. For the SL, I found her journey of rediscovering her passion for investigation endearing and compelling, and her eloquent conversations were a rare treat among the main cast. Additionally, I did appreciate that the voice actress managed to convey different levels of "masculinity" and "femineity: in her voice performance for different circumstances; that's very commendable and it allows us to understand a wider range of the emotions displayed by Naoto. Overall, while I would not say that the quality of her writing and character arc are as compelling as the ones above her, I’m able to see why she is a fan favorite. It definitely helps that she keeps getting better with every playthrough that I complete; thus, I would not be surprised if in a couple of years, she becomes one of my favorites characters in the series. I welcome the possibility with open arms. Very Good.
Meh: This category is for characters which, through a combination of success and failures, incited indifference from me. Not great, not horrible, just okay.
Yukiko: Overall, her character adds to a somewhat passable and kind of dull experience, with not much to stimulate the mind. Her dungeon was a good start to the story, though it is somewhat overshadowed somewhat by Yosuke's internal struggles at the beginning. Chie is there too, but I'll get to her later. I was very pleased that her SL did follow up on her desire to leave Inaba and become independent. If I can give Yukiko credit for something, is that her story has a clear direction and progress can be easily tracked; focus is something that she shares with the individuals above her and makes her story more tolerable. Still, most of her ranks just kind of blend together with not much to say about each individually, something that I would not say of other characters. I was honestly not a fan of her decision to stay in Inaba and work at the Inn; I would have preferred for her to commit to leaving the town she grew up in and become an independent and mature adult that’s able to overcome all the challenges that come with pursuing freedom. It was one of the best moments at the end of P5R when your friends decided to go their separate ways to follow their dreams, even if it means you'll never see each other again. I was hoping she would rekindle the emotions of such an iconic moment, yet it never came to pass. Nevertheless, I understood her final decision to stay, and I respected it, acknowledging that it followed naturally from her past experiences. In terms of personality, she’s again kind of bland, nowhere near as funny, compelling, endearing, or smart as Makoto or Hifumi from P5R, who followed a similar archetype. As a result, I do not think she adds much to the story after her dungeon and feel that she could easily be cut from the rest of the story. Still, I know I chose to complete her SL, not because of obligation but because I genuinely wanted to, and that's got to mean something. At least, something more than what I could say about some other characters, but again, for later. Meh.
Teddie: The voice performance and dialogue are my two main issues with Teddie. He falls more into the insufferable side of meh. While his personal story is well incorporated into the themes of the game, I rarely found him to be amusing or endearing. I think it’s the higher pitch and bratty voice that spoils most of his good moments. I also sometimes find his approach to the female cast kind of cringy and tiresome. Still, he's in this category for a reason. While far from perfect, his relationship with Yu and especially Nanako can be very endearing and sweet, and his comedic moments can sometimes land very well, like in the school cross-dress event. And again, he's very well incorporated into the theme of facing one’s true self, so bonus points there. It’s just unfortunate that there’s a constant layer of annoyance that overlaps all over his good attributes. Meh.
Bad: Chie
Chie: I hate Chie. No need for any preambles or to mince words, I just straight up don't like her. I see her character as a compilation of the worst parts of Yukiko and Teddie with none of their good attributes. Time to dig in, cuz I've been hungry to talk about her.
Nothing against the voice actress, but Chie's voice has to be one of the most insufferable, annoying, earsplitting, and infuriating ones I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Even if her character were to be just as good if not better than those at the upper level, just like Teddie her voice performance completely overshadows any goodish qualities she may have. I’ve scoured the internet for a pc mod that would allow me to replace her voice with that of the voice actress of vanilla P4, which I believe gave an infinitely better performance. While I can tolerate and sometimes appreciate the voice performances of Yukiko and Teddie, no moment ever feels like is improved by Chie's voice, it’s always made worse off. For the cherry on top, her personality is just so unappealing. Annoying, bratty, unappreciative, and condescending, all of these qualities are further enhanced by the voice performance, and I don’t see much meaningful personal improvement throughout the game. She doesn’t add anything to the group dynamic either, which just serves to annoy the crap out of me. She's the one character that I would completely remove from the story if I had the power to do so. Just the worst.
Remember how I mentioned one of the silver linings of Yukiko's story was its focus. Chie's is the complete opposite. She starts well enough. While she has to share the limelight with both Yukiko and Yosuke, her inner desire to control Yukiko out of jealousy was interesting and well communicated. I honestly think that if she had been allowed to have her own dungeon, it could have been a good and compelling character arc. As is, its ending is somewhat short but sweet, yet still appreciated. It’s all downhill from there. There is almost zero direction to her SL, with an insufficient and very bare theme of "gotta get stronger to protect those that I care about" that’s not executed with any nuance or interesting moments. As early as Rank 3 it becomes a matter of obligation, completing her SL for the sake of completion rather than for any eagerness to know more about her. It took me a long time to finish her SL too, as almost everyone else, main cast or otherwise, offers me more than Chie ever did (save for the nurse). She's just stale at best with nothing to meaningfully think about, which only got worse upon repeated playthroughs. I could say a lot more about her, like a lot, but the point has been made and then some. Very Bad.
Overall Group Dynamic: I'll keep this short, since there's only a few things I wanted to convey. For a while now, I've been hearing the following opinions: P3 = best story, P4 = best cast, P5 = best gameplay. As such, I was very curious to see how good the cast of this game was, though I did try to keep my expectations in check. If you've read up to this point, you can already predict my answer: NO. I do not believe that this cast is in any way better than the P5R cast. My reasons are simple: at best I truly and genuinely enjoy about half of the cast. For Yukiko and Teddie, their contributions range from somewhat annoying to kind of bland and pointless. And for Chie, all that she adds for me is annoyance and anger. Every single member of the Phantom Thieves bolstered my enjoyment of the game, and I cannot say the same for the Investigation Team. Additionally, because the game has big chunks of time where nothing plot-related happens, it relies way more on the dynamics of the main cast than P5R does, so many of the bad attributes I’ve elaborated on stand out way more with the greater emphasis on quantity over quality of interactions. Kinda of a shame that great characters have to stand beside 2 disappointments and 1 failure, but it is what it is.
Final thoughts: I'm pretty satisfied with my analysis of each individual. It was great to experience this cast, and I wouldn't mind doing another run with the Investigation Team. Still, there are big issues here. The highs are very high, just as good as the P5R cast. But the lows are very low, far more than I would have expected and downright bad. I'm happy to hear criticism of my post, but it may take me a little while to answer. I apologize for any delays on responds, but I hope that you've enjoyed this post.

Wednesdays and Fridays are our official “Fractal nights”, though groups often form to do dailies of varying tier every day. Fractal CM training takes place on Fridays. We are always willing to teach!
Saturdays evenings we host raid trainings that prioritize new players and those working on their Envoy achievements evenings! On Wednesdays we do a full wings 1-4 clear, and on Sundays we do a full wings 5-7 clear. (These two days are for the experienced!)
Tuesdays we do a full run of the five EoD strikes!
Tuedsays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays we host meta trains to make bank (and hope for infusions)!
PvP content includes a weekly for-fun sPvP night, and possibly WvW on the release of Alliances! For now, if you're on the Fort Aspenwood server, we have a decent amount of people who do semi-regular WvW content that are always looking for more people to join us!
We also host community events such as custom jumping puzzles, lotteries, race tracks, and fashion contests with prizes for the top placed players!
Our community has a Discord server for new members to join. We use Discord to follow GW2 news announcements, post event info and updates, socialize and share cute animals. Voice chat is not required but is sometimes used for events!

A little vent about my most recent game.
My DM seems to be going easy on us, and I don’t know how to tell him that for me, it makes the world feel more real and role play/mechanics more satisfying when NPCs aren’t always forgiving and obliging.
Our party was outside of town when we got word that our barbarian’s NPC love interest had been kidnapped and taken to a noble’s manor in a violent altercation that left bystanders severely wounded. We hurried back to town, and broke into the manor to rescue her. Most of us wanted it to be a stealth mission. I came in the front door as a scout, lookout and distraction (bard asking about auditioning for an upcoming festival, and then asking to use the washroom upstairs), but the barbarian couldn’t wait - she killed two guards and left the lady of the house tied up and unconscious. The fairy ranger cast Charm Person on the nobleman, and the druid panicked and summoned a swarm that caused lots of chaos and property destruction.
Turns out it had all been a misunderstanding - the NPC had been safe the whole time! The man who kidnapped her isn’t evil, he’s basically a sad self-sacrificing puppy who only wants to have a scary reputation so that he doesn’t actually have to hurt anyone!
The NPC and her “kidnapper” emerged from another room, saw the chaos and convinced the nobleman (who had broken out of the charm and was furious at being mind-controlled) to let us go. So ultimately some NPCs saved us from other NPCs/the consequences of our actions. It certainly was a relief not to have the nobleman call down a squadron of guards on us, sure, and it was the end of the session anyway. I wasn’t bothered yet.
In the morning, then nobleman sent us an invitation to meet with him. We already had plans for the day, and when we asked to delay the meeting, we were told “sure, tomorrow is fine too”. Maybe the DM wanted to give us some breathing room after the chaos? It felt like meeting with the nobleman was important to get around to, but not urgent at all.
The NEXT day (so, a good 36 hours after invading the mansion), we arrived for brunch with the nobleman. I prepared an eloquent apology before the session, using my in-character knowledge of his pride and sense of duty to the town, his violent tendencies (we had found a prisoner in a closet, whipped within an inch of his life), the importance of maintaining the “all is well” facade, etc. As the bard and party Face, I am already pretty charismatic, but I cast Enhance Ability on myself to be extra persuasive.
The DM never asked for a single persuasion roll.
And it wasn’t like I got “wow, that was great, you don’t even have to roll for that” kind of feedback. The nobleman didn’t act proud or violent or delusional like we’d been told he was by every other NPC in town. He seemed like an exhausted parent, like as long as we weren’t outright rude to him and acknowledged that what we did was wrong, he would have let us off the hook. He even mentioned he knew we had met with a rival noble house after the altercation in his home, but that didn’t seem to bother him. He barely seemed angry and made no real demands of us - letting us choose between community service and time in the stocks as punishment. And when we said we had been planning to leave town to help some local merchants, he said, “sure, that counts as community service. “
After the session, it took me a few days to realize why I felt kind of deflated after that session. I felt superfluous.
I don’t know if this is anything worth bringing up to the DM, and if so, how I should do it.
He knows I’ve run this adventure as a DM before, and I want to be clear that this has nothing to do with “your version of the characters is wrong”.
How do I say “when NPCs save us, or don’t make us earn our victories, it can feel like the work I’ve put into my character is wasted” and “do the nicer-than-expected versions of all these NPCs mean something in-game? Is this a sign that this noble is actually a flawed yet ultimately good and trustworthy guy? Or do you as a DM just not like role playing bad people but our characters should still be afraid of them? Informed evil, vs visibly evil?”
K this is long, thanks for getting this far. Thoughts welcome, just be nice to me, please.

Here I am going to lay down some of my nitpicks about Yansim that arise due to my visual impairments. Specifically, I have an astigmatism in my left eye that keeps it under 20/20 but otherwise fairly good, and amblyopia/lazy eye in my right that means its very bad. With my glasses I can function but I am very dependent upon a combination of my glasses and left eye. I also have some mild visual snow. This is pretty mild on the scale of visual impairments, as I hover right above the mark where if I was any blinder I wouldn't be allowed to drive in my state.
(Sorry for the long explanation, I just think how bad my vision is, is important context for the post)
Now onto my gripes. I don't know how much these problems bother people with 20/20 vision, as I don't know how seeing that well feels.

1. The Homogeny of the Character Designs: As far as I can tell, characters are only distinguished by hair and stockins if they're female, and just hair if they're male, with a few exceptions being the student council and delinquents. This makes finding myself a certain student difficult. In mission mode, I often find myself only picking targets with long, distinct hair such as as Midori Gurin or Osana, or club leaders where finding them at their club eventually is a given. I find distinguishing between student with short hair difficult when I'm meant to be stalking them from behind. Yandere Vision helps a little but it feels rather janky and immersion breaking. One thing I will applaud is the SC wearing white, I can distinguish them easily, as well as the science club member's labcoats. This is also why I usually play with one of the non default uniforms, so the white is more easily contrasted. I think more height differences and back accessories like backpacks would help me pick out students better. Or if your target could be highlighted even in normal vision.
   
2. School Atmosphere: When school atmosphere gets lower and the colors get desaturated, I struggle. It's made me realize how much I rely on color and value to distinguish things from one another (along with other points mentioned like the SC being easiest for me to spot). It's currently difficult to not lower the atmosphere if you want to engage with the gameplay systems we have. If there's some setting to get rid of the desaturation+shadows some soul please let me know, as I find myself straining to play on the slightest school atmosphere decrease, let alone the more drastic ones.
   
3. The Graphics Settings Resetting: When I play, I need to turn off bloom every single time. I need a very specific level of brightness when I do anything, too bright and I can't distinguish well, too dim and I also can't. I also usually turn off depth of field if my laptop is being nice and deciding to render things decently. The thing is, every time I load a new mission or reload a save, the settings reset. Needing to put my preferred settings back every time is really tedious! I hope there is eventually some sort of lock put in place so I don't need to keep doing this.
   

Thanks for reading my long winded rant. I'd love to hear your two cents if you got this far. If your vision is 20/20, I'd like to know how much these factors influence your enjoyment of the game. If your vision is the same or worse than mine, I'd like to hear if your experiences are similar.

I know we all have a different personal favourite Zelda game, and although Majora's Mask and Wind Waker are up there for many people in this community, the three more important games of the series historically I've found through the internet (from reddit and social media to metacritic) are Ocarina of Time, Breath of the Wild and A Link to the Past, a top 3 I can agree with.
Even considering any other game you prefer... Do you already rank Tears of the Kingdom as top 3? I've read some important videogames media claim it's the best of the series, some others saying it's one of the best. Either if you replace BotW for TotK in the podium, or if you put it there instead of ALttP, gimme your thoughts!

Earlier this year, several coworkers and I were part of the mass tech layoffs. I immediately got another job while my coworkers are struggling to get interviews and haven’t received FTE offers. One of my coworkers (we’ll call them Taylor) expressed that they were looking for a specific pay range so they would only have to work one job and not have to keep doing side gigs. They were hoping to get an offer from a role they are interviewing for, but stated they would have to keep looking after accepting since it was under their desired range, and that they would leave as soon as they found better pay. Makes sense to me.
Now, at my new company, I’m hiring for a FTE role that is right up their alley, and it would be a $10k raise from our previous job. I think Taylor would also be able to expand their role and help show what my team could do, but the CEO and CFO actually only accepted the role at $5k reduction of what I was asking for. I know as soon as the job gets posted, Taylor is going to see it and inquire. I’d love to work with them again, but I worry how I will look professionally for me when they leave after a short period of time. That said, it would be nice to have them even for a bit because I know they’re capable and would do a great job even if they know it’s not a long-term thing. I also worry about bringing it up before/after posting with Taylor because they would absolutely take the role for the benefits (because who wouldn’t?!).
Managers, what would you do or what have you done in these situations? Is the person who I know is great but going to leave better than someone I don’t know who could do the same thing? Is this something that’s appropriate to discuss with my boss in full, or do I leave out the part about Taylor wanting a specific pay (that would be above my current rate)? How do I navigate that discussion with Taylor when it comes up? It’s a “damned if a do, damned if I don’t” situation.

I live in Europe and I start dating a Moroccan girl via an online muslim matrimonial app. She lives in Moroccan and is willing to marry me and move to Europe. Since I am from India and after some time I may relocate back to India (as my parents are living there and they need me). This girl is also ok with the idea of shifting to India after some years but she is not so fascinated with the idea (she doesn’t like India in short 😜). Now, I want to know, are Moroccan girls open to other cultures?. It should not be a problem at later stage when she start to complain about our culture/family etc. Also , in India we usually live with our parents and this girl doesn’t like this and is least interested to live in the same house with my parents.
Need your suggestions/Ideas/guidance 🧐

Introduction

This season more increasingly than ever, there are just so many passive units. Racuni is now a top 5 picked champion, along with Moore, Miles, Verd, Juno, Ragdoll in the top 10. That's a lot of passives!
And of course there are so many more. Passives are countered by oblivion units, but there are only so few out there. There's Duametef, but he's not that useful. Tesarion is a great unit, but he's only one of the few out there, not to mention he's tricky to build. You want high accuracy, tankiness, and damage. There's the Water Hollyberry/Pudding, but that's not free to play. And the list goes on about who's usable and not.
Herne is different, she is extremely usable and versatile. She's quickly becoming one of my favorite tech units.

Why Her(ne)?

1. She's free to play, with fusable skillups
   1. All you need is one copy of her and you can fuse Mellias to skill her up, it's pretty fast and easy
2. She's a water unit
   1. Notice anything about the top picked passive units? They're basically all non-Wind units, all those broken LD5s, Fire Monkey, Molly, Josephine, Camilla, etc. This means she won't glance on them normally speaking
3. She counters Tesarion
   1. A lot of the time people w/ the passive team will pick away the Oblivion units as the common counter, which is usually Tesarion. However, if you have Herne in your back pocket, either she becomes the forced ban, or you draft her and she counters Tesarion when it's being picked against you.
4. Her S3 is very good setup and has 3 turn debuffs
   1. Her S3 is more than just Oblivion, it's 3 turn defense break, and a 50% ATB decrease. That's a very useful skill, and combos well with just about anything. Not to mention the Oblivion itself is 3 turns, so that means, no one can Violent proc out of it. Racuni's will can S2 themselves, but there's still one more tick. And the ATB decrease also helps "add" half a turn of duration of the debuff too, which increases your window of opportunity.
5. Her S2 has a lot of utility
   1. Her S2 is heal, cleanse, and debuff transfer. That's a lot of effects! She was the Shizuka, before Shizuka became a thing. She's great at passing back CC, bombs, etc.
6. She has low cooldowns
   1. Her S2/S3 are only 3 turns each, that's pretty short, and her S1 gives her a little bit of cycling too
7. She has great stats and low rune requirements
   1. Being a Nat4 means she has less stats than a Nat5, but luckily, her stat distribution gives her very low ATK, which means her HP and DEF are comparable to Nat5 levels
   2. In addition, she only needs high accuracy, and if your runes are great, you can also build her on max resistance too. This is great because you can resist the debuffs, and then pass them back to the enemy team

Conclusion

Overall, she's a really great unit, I've been finding a lot of success using her, or even picking double Oblivion with Tesarion. And even outside of that she's a decent 4 star Siege unit to counter Kinki as well.

I just discovered something wonderful, you can use AI to build the basis of your builds based off an idea. I have made a few so far, but I was so excited about this that I made a reddit account after lurking for years in order to share with y'all my favorite / the one I intend to play in my next game. I have also included the prompts I used. Let me know what you think!

Nate was always a nerdy kid who loved comics, especially Grognak the Barbarian. He even created his own tabletop RPG character based on the comic, a brutal warrior named the Dragon Knight, who wielded a sword and a shield and wore a dragon-shaped helmet.
Nate grew up in a turbulent time, as the United States was engaged in a long and brutal war with China over natural resources. He felt a sense of duty and patriotism, and he decided to join the military when he was 18. He enlisted in the 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry Regiment of the U.S. Army, and he proved to be an excellent soldier. He was trained in using power armor, which gave him an edge on the battlefield. He fought bravely in several battles against the Chinese forces, earning medals and commendations for his valor.
His unit nicknamed him "The Dragon Knight" after his tabletop RPG character, because of how effective he was in power armor and because Nate often joked that he was fighting dragons instead of communists, and that he was looking for his princess in the wasteland. At times he could be brutal, being the soldier his country needed him to be. His bravery and conviction lead him to be merciless yet effective in the heat of battle. He had a dark side buried under his joyful and nerdy exterior, one that only his enemies ever saw.
After the war Nate met Nora, a young lawyer from Boston, at a comic book convention. They instantly hit it off, sharing their love for comics and RPGs. They got married soon after, and moved to Sanctuary Hills, a peaceful suburb near Concord. They had a son, Shaun, who was born in 2077. Nate was overjoyed to be a father, and he hoped to pass on his love for comics and RPGs to his son. Nora even surprised him by programming their personal Mister Handy, Codsworth, to call him "Mr. Dragon Knight" as a prank.
On October 23rd, 2077, Nate was preparing for an event at the Veteran's Hall in Concord, where he was supposed to give a speech about his war experiences. He was nervous but excited, and he hoped to inspire others with his story. However, his plans were cut short when a Vault-Tec representative visited his family to inform them that they had pre-approved admittance into Vault 111, a nearby underground shelter. Moments later, a news bulletin warned them of an imminent nuclear attack, which forced Nate, Nora and Shaun to rush to the vault, leaving Codsworth behind.
After entering the vault, they were placed in cryo-sleep by the Vault-Tec scientists, under the guise of decontamination. Nate had no idea that he would be frozen for over two centuries.
In 2227, he was disturbed from his cryogenic sleep by Conrad Kellogg and two unknown Institute scientists, whose intention was to acquire Shaun; as his DNA was the 'purest' source available to the Institute for their experiments. Nate watched helplessly as Kellogg shot Nora dead and took Shaun away. He tried to break free from his pod, but he was too weak and fell unconscious.
He woke up again in 2287, when his pod malfunctioned due to a power outage. He found himself alone in the vault, surrounded by dead bodies. He managed to escape from the vault and returned to Sanctuary Hills, where he found Codsworth still functioning.
Codsworth greeted him with joy and called him "Mr. Dragon Knight" as usual. However, this triggered something in Nate's mind. The trauma of losing his wife and son, combined with the shock of seeing the post-apocalyptic world, had shattered his sanity. He could not cope with reality anymore.
He started to believe that he was actually The Dragon Knight, his tabletop RPG character. He thought that he had been transported to a new unknown land. He thought that Nora was his Queen who had been assassinated, and that Shaun was his heir who had been taken away. Both crimes committed by a secret dark order of mages and their army of undead abominations. He thought that Codsworth was his loyal pet dragon, and that his power armor was his dragon armor.
He decided to embark on a quest to find and rescue his family. He would stop at nothing, and once again became the warrior he needed to be, becoming equally as savage and brutal as the new realm he found himself in. He also hoped to find other heroes who would join him in his quest. Such as Grognak the Barbarian, who gives Nate his trusty axe as a sign of their brotherhood.

Strength is still the most important stat for this build, as it increases melee damage and allows access to perks like Big Leagues, Blacksmith, and Rooted.
Perception is still not important for this build, as you will be relying on V.A.T.S. to hit your targets and not aiming manually. Endurance is still moderately important, as it gives you more health and allows access to perks like Toughness and Lifegiver.
Charisma is still not important for this build, as you will not be using it for dialogue or settlement building. Instead, you will use Idiot Savant to gain more experience despite your low Charisma. Agility is less important for this build, as you will have less Action Points due to your high Strength and Intelligence. However, you still want to have some Agility to access perks like Action Boy/Girl, which increases your Action Point regeneration.
Luck is also less important for this build, as you will have less critical hit chance due to your low Luck. However, you still want to have some Luck to access perks like Bloody Mess, which gives you more damage and a chance to make enemies explode, Better Criticals, which makes your critical hits do more damage, and Critical Banker, which lets you store up to four critical hits for later use.
Intelligence is significant for this build, as it gives you access to perks that enhance your power armor performance. Science! lets you modify your power armor with better effects such as jetpacks and stealth fields. Nuclear Physicist makes your fusion cores last longer and lets you eject them as powerful explosives. Armorer lets you improve your power armor’s defense and resistance.
This build is viable for survival mode, as it can deal massive damage with melee weapons and survive a lot of punishment with power armor. However, it may struggle with enemies that attack from a distance or have high armor. You may want to carry a backup ranged weapon for emergencies.

Skirting my responsibilities. Being angry and argumentative. Being too loud.

If it's a stressful situation (that needs handling) where the people around me are stressed, I try my best to solve and diffuse the problem and comfort people. If I myself am stressed I either:
-Reassure myself that it will be ok and remind myself that I am capable
-If I really really can't seem to fix the problem I get really impatient/frustrated that nothing is working and blame the people around me
-If it's something I know I can't fully control I distract myself with music or something else I enjoy. Life's too short to stress all the time

I'm impatient, and that's what usually leads to my anger. I get angry when people speak down to me or try and help me without me asking for help first. I’m fine being openly angry with people, mostly my family. I don’t usually find the need to be angry at specific people though

This is silly but I fear being sad and bitter and ugly (internally and externally) all the time. Like I'll grow older and just simply not be as happy as I am right now. I also fear that my future won't live up to my expectations. Being in prison. Being in constant debt to someone in some way. Nobody ever finding me attractive, not so much because I need a partner but more so because I would like to be ‘sought after’ lol

Hmm. Idk, I've done loads of embarrassing things and made my fair share of mistakes, but most of the time I don't bother feeling shameful of memories. It's in the past, it's already gone and done.

If I can find a way to get pleasure then I‘ll get pleasure, I don't need to earn it. There are a million things that make me happy so pleasure is easy enough to find. Although sometimes I will stop myself from buying something/eating something/doing something fun just so that I have more money/stuff to use to have fun later

I don't mind being told what to do, if it benefits me. I don't mind breaking the rules, but not just for the sake of breaking them. I'm an authority in my own life, but not an authority over anyone else.

My future, I like to imagine it vividly. Sometimes I don’t really think about anything at all

I don't have much trouble making my own decisions, I usually know exactly what I want and what will get me what I want in the future. If I don't then chances are I would enjoy both options. No decisions require commitment forever, so technically I'll always be flexible, which makes decisions easier.

I'm shallow and selfish. I tell too many white lies.

Not an introvert, I do like to be around other people, but I know how to have fun by myself! I'd play my music real loud and just fucking dance. And then watch a movie. After one day I'd get a bit lonely, but I think it'd be pretty great.

I like to seem happy and carefree. In terms of fashion, I spend a lot of time curating that. I do have to turn my vibe on and off, because I have an ‘unpleasant’ resting face. So I have to consciously make myself look happier and stand up straighter etc etc. I’ll also turn off my vibe if I’m around someone I don’t want to interact with, or turn on the vibe if I’m around someone I’m interested in in some way

Hi all,
Long story I’ll try and make short.
Been working on my gut health for 6 months, was previously having tons of issues. Skin, low energy, muscle aches, bad sleep, you name it, all the bad stuff.
Saw a Functional Medicine doctor and worked through thing and have been on the up and up. Taking supplements, eating right, all that. Been feeling as good as ever until last week, when I got back from a trip to Mexico City.
I thought I had made it through unscathed but about 36 hours after my return, the diarrhea started, and got progressively worse. Pure water, nothing floating on top of the water, no fever, generally felt okay other than the diarrhea. But my only BMs for 6 full days was exclusively diarrhea.
Over the weekend I started to feel really bad, mainly from what I am chalking up to lack of food and some dehydration. Muscle aches were back, and oral inflammation on the roof of my mouth.
I made an appointment for my primary care doctor yesterday. Doing some stool tests to rule out C Diff, Giardia, etc. - haven't been able to get the samples yet but am hoping to have those to the lab by the end of the week.
He also prescribed me Cipro, which I’m absolutely not going to take all 10 pills. Especially after reading all of the horror stories. With that said, no sooner than I left his office I needed to have a BM and my stool was way more normal (albeit a bit black from the pepto). If things were moved up even one day, I probably wouldn't have even gone to the doctor after showing signs of improvement.
In any case, what is the community's thoughts on maybe taking 1 or 2 doses of the Cipro to kill off the low hanging fruits and help restore some balance? Or am I thinking about this all wrong?

What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps this move by Reddit is the wrong way of addressing the shortcomings of its own apps and cuts off important functionality for communities:

• many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.
• visually impaired reddit users depend on the quality of 3rd party apps to use reddit because the official apps fall short.

What's going to happen?

On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.

What will /mealtimevideos be doing?

June 12th-14th you will not be able to make comments or submissions on MTV.
Instead, we ask you to upvote and share the mod post that will be created for the protest (on June 12th).
Please also voice your support and experience with 3rd party apps here, as this post will be linked in the protest post.

Why not go private?

We want to achieve maximum reach with this protest. Private subs do not show up in users feeds and the message shown for private subs does not show up on mobile and is truncated on new reddit. Keeping the sub public but locked, and with an artificially upvoted protest post, is the best way to reach all users in all feeds.

What else can you do?

1. Complain. Message the mods of /reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on /reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
   
2. Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join us at our sister sub at /ModCoord - but please don't pester mods you don't know by simply spamming their modmail.
   
3. Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
   
4. Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.

This is a rant. I have a highly reactive shelter rescue pittie mix who reacts to all dogs. We have been working hard and we have made some progress but this is the one piece that just infuriates me.
If I'm walking toward someone with a dog and I can't avoid them passing me, I'll take my dog aside as best as I can and just focus on managing her until the other dog passes. I always warn the other owner - "she's going to act like a jerk, I'm sorry."
So why - WHY - do so many dog owners think it's ok to STOP WITH THEIR DOG and chitchat with me? Why do they let their dog STAY WITHIN 5 FEET of my pulling, barking asshole of a dog while they STAND THERE and watch? Why would anyone think this is a good idea?
Recently my dog and I were at my complex's dog park that has a sidewalk right along the fence. My dog can't get out but can stick her head through the bars and snap at other dogs, which is why I grab her by the short leash attached to the back of the harness and pull her away when I see another dog coming. HOWEVER, this guy decided the proper thing to do was to stop with his two big dogs on the sidewalk and stare at me while I'm holding onto my lunging dog. Just stare. For a solid minute. Then when my dog got out of my grip, went barreling at the fence, and snapped at his dogs, he got startled and jumped back, then yelled at me to "control your dog!"
I'M IN A PEN. My dog is contained. I'm holding on to her. All you have to do is KEEP WALKING and your dogs will be saved the drama but you chose for you and your two dogs to stand there and stare me down for whatever reason.

I am 32. After TTC for a year I decided to consult my doctor for reasons why I might be struggling. Right off the bat he was hesitant but thought PCOS. After ultrasounds and further testing he was stumped but concluded it’s PCOS with fibroids and possible Luteal Phase Defect and possible endo (haven’t done laparoscopy to confirm) I did conceive over 10 years ago while on BC so I never thought my symptoms were a sign of possible infertility. Here they are:
-extremely painful periods. Cramps so bad I throw up and can’t get out of bed -heavy first couple days with lots of clots (sorry tmi) -short cycles 21-25 days with O on CD day 11 -tested Progesterone and confirmed ovulation but was on the lower end level. (Not low enough my doctor thought I needed assistance) -difficulty losing weight -occasional cramping after intercourse -cysts over 2cm on one ovary -mid cycle cramping sometimes around ovulation but not always -I have never missed a period or had a late one they typically come a couple days early.
While I agree I have some symptoms of PCOS I’m just not sure. Has anyone experienced these symptoms and not displayed “textbook definition” PCOS symptoms
