Hibana by Koki - tinh hoa ẩm thực Nhật Bản giữa lòng Hà Nội

2023.06.07 07:42 SpiritedAd6587 Traveling to Switzerland (lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Lugano) - restaurant reccs?

Hi!
I'm heading to Switzerland next week, and hoping to get a few restaurants/grocery stores/GF-must-haves mapped out ahead of time. I've got the Find Me Gluten Free app ready to go, and have saved screenshots of the German and Italian celiac travel cards.
For the first few days I'll be in Wengen (just outside of Lauterbrunnen).
The remainder of the time I'll be in Lugano:
Has anybody in this community been to any of those spots? Would love to hear your experience and any places that you loved! Thank you in advance!

2023.06.07 07:33 nalarobotics Co-founder and CEO Ajay Sunkara sees huge potential manufacturing automation systems for the restaurant industry.

Co-founder and CEO Ajay Sunkara sees huge potential manufacturing automation systems for the restaurant industry.
Food preparation is not easy to automate. "Whether it's salty or spicy, it's a huge variable," says Sunkara.
Legacy automation systems were not up to the task, but Nala Robotics is leveraging cutting-edge innovation to make restaurant automation a reality. "If you introduce artificial intelligence into it, if you introduce vision technology into it, it will be much better -- and that's how we designed our entire company," says Sunkara. "In ancient Indian mythology, Nala is the maharaja of culinary, so we named the company after that."
Nala Robotics started with Indian cuisine because of the complex recipes. "We felt that if we go for Indian, the rest of the cuisines could be a subset of it," says Sunkara.
Debuting in 2021, the company's first product, the Nala Chef, is now capable of making not only Indian dishes but Thai, Chinese, and Italian foods as well. In 2022, Nala Robotics released the Pizzaiola for autonomous pizza-making, followed by the Wingman for fried foods and Spotless for dishwashing.
Each machine's benefits are similar: Restaurants have struggled to hire since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, opening the door for automation. "The pandemic created a huge void in the industry in terms of labor," says Sunkara. "With a robotic solution, our company is able to address that."
Nala Robotics has a demonstration kitchen in Naperville, Illinois, and a pair of campuses in India. About 50 employees are based in Illinois, and about 200 are in India.
Sunkara compares the model to the software industry, with R&D and testing in the U.S. and production in India. "Most of the assembly is done in the U.S., and the fabrication part of it is done in India," he says. "All of the research is done here, and once we figure out the solution, we send it to India for fabrication. Once it's done, we ship it here, we test it here again, and if it's satisfactory, we deliver it to the market."
With plans to both sell and lease equipment, Nala Robotics is ramping up installations in 2023. "We are currently piloting with almost every major chain in the country and across the world as well," says Sunkara.
Ajay Sunkara (PRESIDENT AND CO-FOUNDER)
Challenges: Perception. Most restaurants have no experience with automation, and many consumers are uneasy with the idea of robots in the kitchen.
"There's always the fear that robots are going to take away jobs, robots are going to steal our entire economy," says Sunkara. "Actually, it's the other way around, so educating people that robots are going to improve the quality of our lives."
Scaling is another challenge: "Our concentration will start with the major cities and metro areas, and then going into every small town," Sunkara continues. "That's another challenge of what customers we can serve right now."
Thirdly, Nala Robotics' price point can initially raise some eyebrows, but Sunkara is quick to point out that many restaurants can get a rapid return on their investments in automation.
Opportunities: The market is still nascent, but Sunkara forecasts that 30 to 40 percent of restaurants will utilize robotics in their operations by 2030. He forecasts quick-service restaurants will be the bulk of the market, with about 20 percent of Nala's machines going to fine-dining establishments.
Needs: "With the demand that we have, we are considering having another manufacturing facility in the U.S. for orders that are high priority and for customers who need the manufacturing to be done in the U.S.," says Sunkara.

2023.06.07 05:48 psych_is_a_science Career change advice? ADHD

I'm 30 and I just feel so lost. I don't know what to do with my life. I would really appreciate some advice.
So I have a BA in Psychology. I got into an MA/PhD program but I dropped out after 2 years because I really did not enjoy it. Psychology was what I wanted to do since I was 12. So I just feel really lost.
Ever since then, I've been working in customer service. Last year I was diagnosed with ADHD which at least made me understand why I had struggled with so many things in my life, from getting to places on time to organizing things. In October, I was fired because I kept being 5-10 minutes late. My current medication does help with focus and organization, but not so much with being on time though. I've since moved in with my mom in a smaller city, but despite applying to jobs daily, I still have not been able to find a job.
All these things made me realize that I need to find a new career and a job that I can do remotely- so that it would be much harder for me to be late than to go in person. I also want to be able to manage my environment- be able to use my noise-canceling headphones.
I enjoy filling out paperwork, and repetitive tasks, and I did enjoy programming (in R) in grad school. I hate large meetings where nothing discussed is relevant to my job and I hate being interrupted with small talk when I am working (another reason why working remotely is something that I want to pursue). I would prefer a job where I would just have to work to complete short tasks. I did love data analysis in grad school but I am not quite sure what I can do with it. I'm more introverted. I would prefer a job with the least amount of human interaction unless they are 1-1 meetings. I'm ok with 1-1 meetings but I would rather not have too many of them. I am bilingual English-Romanian, speak intermediate-level Spanish, and basic Italian, and French.
My mom is suggesting that I go into HR- get a certificate and try to find a job in HR. There are a lot of things that are appealing to me about HR-- that it can include paperwork, 1-1 meetings, and that it is somewhat related to my BA in Psychology. But I don't know what kind of certificate to get (there are a lot of types out there), or if I can succeed. Any ideas about how to switch to a job in HR? What certificate(s) should I get?
I have also been considering cybersecurity mostly because there is a free apprenticeship through a local community college but I don't know if cybersecurity is a good choice. I don't know if I would be good at it. In any case, classes don't start until August. I enrolled in the college but I can't yet sign up for any classes or contact an adviser. In any case, that community college also offers an HR certificate, but again, it will take me a few more days before I can talk to anyone in that college.
Do you have any advice? Are there any other careers I should consider, if so, how can I switch? What certificate would be best for HR? How can I know if I would be good at Cybersecurity?
I am very afraid of making the wrong choice like I did with Psychology. I'm old. I need to settle down and have a career, but I feel so lost.

2023.06.07 04:08 Spy23714 First Date in Richardson - Restaurant?

First date after recovering from the breakup after a long relationship Saturday night. She lives in Richardson and I’m excited about this one, so I really need to nail this, but I live in Fort Worth and don’t know the area at all. What is your favorite first date place?
Definitely looking for nicer than a burger bar. Not necessarily suit and tie, but I’m not opposed to that. Open to options around Richardson and neighboring areas. She’s nixed Mexican, African, and Indian foods, so I’m hoping for a nice Italian restaurant or maybe default to a steakhouse if there are no better options. What do you think? Where are you taking a girl you want to make a good first impression with?

2023.06.07 03:08 tazzy531 Unique Kaohsiung & Kenting dining

I’ll be visiting Kaohsiung and Kenting in July with two kids (6/8). My wife and I are foodies and kids are good in restaurants.
Are there any distinct or unique restaurants to visit in Kaohsiung and Kenting? We’re up for fine dining like Sho and Ukai-Tei (leaving kids with Ah-ma) as well as hole in the wall.

2023.06.07 01:54 Ok-Procedure-8251 Midtown Italian Restaurants? [Question]

We’re heading to midtown in the next week and obviously we’ve googled “Best Italian Restaurants” and Google spit outs a result, but as a non local, I’m not sure what’s “overrated” or not.
Looking at roughly at no more than $60/per person (we aren’t drinkers - so it would be mostly food cost).
Results we got were for example : - Trattoria Trecolori - Trattoria Dell’ Arte - Da Raffaele
