I (28f) and my bf have been together for almost 3 years. To be completely honest I shouldn’t have jumped into this relationship but idk he just won me over. He was different. He’s a great guy. He was respectful kind responsible, so I said yes. Well a month after we started dating I got pregnant and we were actually happy about it (also I have a daughter, 3) so I know it was a big change for him being single for a long time to having a little family and a baby on the way. Also a big change for me since I had no idea how to deal with my daughters father. He would blow me up all the time and I would answer because he had our daughter, then we had got her and brought her home with us and her dad would blow me up even more just fighting and trying to tear me down. I didn’t know how to handle it. But after a while I had a few people telling me that I don’t have to do anything for him or be in contact with him (he’s an alcoholic drug addict) so eventually I figured it out but I guess it was too late since it kinda messed with our groove. So anywho, I’m pregnant for a month before we find out. We have some appointments cool. Next one was a ultrasound “we” were so excited to see our baby! As we’re sitting there they checked everything and the nurse didn’t say much.. just said she’d be right back.. she eventually came back and handed me a phone. It was the doctor on the line.. they said our baby had no heartbeat and that he was measuring at 9 weeks when we were supposed to be at 12…. I had her repeat it on speaker so my bf could hear it since I didn’t want to tell him. I just broke down. After that they scheduled an appointment for a d&c. We went to pick my daughter up. Cried with loved ones after telling what happened.. So I get the procedure done.. some time passes and we’re both sad of course and we don’t really know what to say or how to talk about it. I just cried and bled.. One morning he goes to the gym but the whole time he was gone I had this weird feeling. My intuition was trying to tell me something.. Like maybe he didn’t love me anymore, he had been acting different and my mind didn’t go to cheating that was actually the last thing I had in my mind. He’d n e v e r do me like that.
When he got back I didn’t say much so he asked what was wrong. I was honest and told him that I’ve noticed a difference in him like he was pulling away from me and if he had anything to tell me he can, that he didn’t have to be afraid of hurting my feelings. He stayed very quiet for a long time. Whatever it was, he wanted to say it but he didn’t know how. So I cut in before giving him the chance and basically gave him a good excuse. “is it because of the baby?” “Yes” he answered almost immediately and even shed a few tears.. we finished up our talk and it ended on how maybe we needed some alone time and we went on a date later that evening. After this I started noticing more stuff like him taking longer to get ready for the gym and work and a certain girl he followed who had posted a picture and the day I had my d&c procedure. The caption read “happy Friday” and he liked it. ON THAT DAY?? (He wasn’t with me at the hospital he had to drop me off, went home for a few hours and then picked me up) I had also checked her other posts and he had liked a few in the past. I had to bring it up to him and basically admitted that she was a girl from a story he had already told me a few days into our relationship. So I had a face. I felt sick to my stomach. And on top of that he had a girl he screwed on social media?? Can’t be the only one..
I just felt so hurt. It was NOT a happy Friday for us.. how could he do that? All he could do was unlike the post.. a couple weeks later he was still cold towards me and was getting this feeling like something was still off I can’t explain the feeling but it was at the pit of my stomach.. I turned and looked at his Apple Watch that had been sitting on the charger for the last several months. Never touched never even thought about it for a second.. but there we were.. just staring at each other. Something told me to look though it. I never wanted to go though his things but I did. I went to his text messages.. there they were.. tinder codes, bumble codes, hud codes, mature.. soo many times he deactivated and logged back in. He was on tinder the day of our ultrasound and Later that night!

While MY DAUGHTER AND HIM waited for me in his car to get the D&C appointment made! The day of the D&C procedure! When he was getting ready for the gym! While he was at the gym! At work! (He “only” gets a lunch and he FaceTimes me everyday) While getting us food! He even paid for tinder! ANYTIME HE LEFT ANYWHERE!
I never cried so much.. I was so shook my heart felt like it was going to explode. But I didn’t say anything. I pretended for maybe 2 or 3 days until it started driving me nuts. I got a call from him after work, he was telling me that he was gonna go across the street with his manager for a drink and to talk about work. I felt sick thinking he was finally maybe going on a date with a match and there was absolutely NOTHING I could do about it. After maybe 2 hours he came home, he had on a different shirt (to this day I don’t really know if he was telling the truth or if it was a date) I kept it short with him never asked how it went or what they talked about. HE started rambling on himself about how it went. I didn’t say much and he started noticing so he asked if I was ok. He asked if something was wrong I said no. But then after a while I figured how I’d do it. “Are you on any dating apps?” “No!” “My friend told me she saw your picture” He tried to laugh it off, but I wasn’t. I stayed firm with tears in my eyes “Are you on any dating apps?” “No” “Have you been on any dating apps in the last week” “I’m not on any dating apps” Have you been on any dating apps in the last month?” “No I’m not on any dating apps”
He didn’t lie. But he was going around truth using loopholes. He wasn’t on any dating apps, ANYMORE. The last day he went on before deleting them all was the day we went on our date after our miscarriage.. because of the guilt I think.. or he was scared of getting caught.
I told him I knew the truth and I was only giving him the chance to admit it.

Rakdo held out a phone to me, I took it and held it up to my ear.
"This is Imperator Ruuk Stingtail speaking." I stated.
"You had to make this difficult for us." A male voice spoke. "Are you aware what you have just done?"
"Completely and utterly shifted the paradigm of the entire world out of anger and spite?" I guessed flippantly.
"That's a concise way to put it." Came the reply. "Verify the prisoners are still alive."
I walked over to the Humans, still tied up, after the video was recorded, we'd allowed them to have their mouths uncovered, as long as they didn't do anything annoying or reckless.
"I'm standing in front of the prisoners." I stated. "We're currently recording as we speak, if I were in your shoes, I'd kill them, make it look like we killed them out of spite or hatred. Understand, if they die due to any machinations on your part, you seal the fate of your species."
There was a long pause. "Have them speak."
"One at a time." I said. "I will point to you, and you will say your name and rank."
I pointed at each one, they all spoke their name and rank, some tried to beg for help, but a spark from Prestidigitation shut them up.
"What was that sound?" The voice asked.
"Magic." I said. "A reminder that their well-being is in our hands. They understand that wasting your time and mine isn't going to work out for them."
"What do you expect will happen, if we comply to your demands?" He asked. "What is assuring us that you won't seek retaliation?"
"Eons ago, my God made an enemy of another God. This was before his ascension to Divinity, said God destroyed him and his people, and when the Gods were angry, he simply claimed it was a joke."
"Does this little story of yours relate to the question?" He asked.
"Yes." I replied. "For eons, after my God ascended, his divinity little more than recompense, he waged a war of genocide against that God's children. Just yesterday, at my urging, he chose compromise. They are no less enemies than they were before, but the fact of the matter was, we convinced that God to leave us be, rather than try to exterminate us on the behest of your soldiers."
"So, this is compromise? Holding my soldiers hostage, killing countless people?"
"I want you to understand something, Human." I stated coldly. "What your kind has done to us within the past six months was inhumane and cruel. Evil. Your soldiers' actions, the actions of the companies that denied us basic Human rights, who marched in on our home and shot at us... We are already at war, I am choosing compromise, so that the dead who are here may be the only dead." I paused. "And maybe, in time, if there is lasting peace, we can bring them back."
I heard a soft gasp. "Yes, Human, while it is a goal we have yet to achieve, we have the potential to resurrect the dead. There are many of us who have died, from a collapsed mine that we worked tirelessly to save many more, from the bullets your soldiers fired at us... We have loved ones who have died, just as your soldiers have loved ones they left behind."
"I cannot advocate for your success, Stingtail." He stated. "Nor will I. You represent an existential threat to our way of life."
"I represent the true face of the universe." I stated. "The Gods we lived with are lies, or convenient tools of other Gods. And right now, four Gods have been verified to have been on this planet in recent years."
"Whom?" He asked.
"Tiamat, Goddess of Evil Dragons, whose machinations led to my people becoming what we are. Kurtulmak, God of Kobolds, whose exile to this world did not stop him from ensuring we kept our sanity, where Tiamat would have rendered us unthinkingly savage beasts. Bahamut, Dragon God of Justice, whose miracles granted my people enough water to survive the shutdown, whose Clerics continue to serve as a moral anchor for my Empire. And Garl Glittergold, with whom my God made compromise with."
"You are implying something." He stated.
"Tiamat currently moves unopposed." I stated. "Bahamut is hunting her down, to mitigate the damage she can do."
"Why demand to be acknowledged as a sovereign nation?" He asked.
"Because being a citizen of yours led to our near extermination." I stated. "Do not ask such a stupid question again, our demands are non-negotiable, and I have given you a generous amount of time to consider your options."
"Our options being to negotiate with hostile creatures?" He asked.
"This is not about salvaging a bad situation, this is not about saving face. You will comply, or there will be war." I stated. "Do not twist my words for your own benefit, you have been the aggressor in this situation. We are simply fighting back."
I ended the call there and turned off the phone.
"Turn off all phones." I stated. "If they wish to communicate, it will be face to face, not over the phone. I want this wall secured, and this outpost manned. Moreover, all weaponry belongs to the Empire now. Gather the remains, those who are still intact will be put into coffins, those who are not, we will piece together. We don't need every piece, a hand, a head, anything will do. Ensure you gather the dog tags, in the event we need a True Resurrection."
My warriors got on it immediately. I faced our prisoners. "Prisoners." I said. "Until such a time that your freedom is negotiated or you are to be executed, you will be provided food, water, and clothing. Even if we don't recognize the Geneva Convention at this time, we will operate under the assumption that jus cogens applies." I regarded them. "If you ever address me, you will address me as Imperator. I will point to each of you, and you will acknowledge."
Each one replied with, "Yes, Imperator."
"Good." I smiled. "In the interests of ensuring you retain your Humanity, such that your leaders can consider you safe, sane, and unharmed, you will be held outside of the range of the Gate. Attempts to escape will be met with lethal force. If you wish to defect, you will be required to state such on video, Otherwise, we will keep you alive. Is this understood."
"Yes, Imperator."
"Good." I looked for a pen and paper and wrote out my orders, then I had one of my warriors run it into the city. By evening, the holding cells were built, which our prisoners were led to.
The cells were the size of an average Human bedroom, with a bed, a toilet pot, a pot with sawdust, and a roll of toilet paper provided from our newly acquired base.
None of us really missed modern amenities all that much, we got used to what we had to make due with, so even though going on the internet was just as easy as riding a bike, I felt no particular draw toward the time-wasting activities of trawling through social media.
As I walked through the streets, my subjects celebrating, my father, a Ranger, approached me. He was one of the Beast Masters, those who formed an almost supernatural bond with our loyal pets.
"Imperator." He said, saluting me.
"Is there something you need, Baruk?" I asked.
"No, but Brutus does."
I smiled. I hadn't seen much of Brutus since I finally opened myself up to the Warren. Though he was still as big and friendly as he was back then, there was a glint in his eye, a wildness that hadn't been there before.
"I'm sorry for not visiting." I said. "Between the water crisis, the Gods making themselves known, everything else..."
"Ruuk." He said, the use of my name was deliberate, he was probably one of the few people I'd allow to address me so informally. "You've been working your hardest to keep us all alive." He hugged me, Brutus nuzzled his way between us. "I am proud of everything you have done for our Warren."
"Thank you." I said softly.
He let go and we walked together. "I take it you've been staying in the Rangers' Lodge?" I asked.
"For the most part, yes. Adena- that's what your mother calls herself now- has been spending her days in the nursery, taking care of the Warrens' eggs. She was always at her best, taking care of you hatchlings." He paused for a moment, then shook his head. "Of course, we spend our time together as often as we can."
"I'm glad she has something she can do." I remarked, smiling.
"She's a Cleric, you know." I raised my brow ridge. "You didn't know?" I shook my head. "She joined Bahamut's Temple shortly after you did, I could have sworn you'd seen her."
"I didn't spend that much time at the Temple." I said. "Did she-? Was she-?"
"Ruuk, your mother never once thought of you as a traitor." My father looked me in the eye as he said this. "She knows you better than that. Hell, the Temple excommunicated her because she refused to think of you as anything less."
"I had no idea." I said.
"For what it's worth, they did welcome her back, though I think that was mostly Tallyn's efforts."
"Do you often talk with Tallyn?" I asked.
"He often comes to me." He said. "For a while, he was just so angry, he yelled at your mother. Now, I rarely spanked you and him as kids, only when you did dangerously stupid things in spite of our best efforts to get you to stop. You bet your ass I bent him over my knee and made certain he regretted his words."
I nodded. "Dad... Does it ever bother you, knowing I've had to kill people?"
"Son, I've killed my fair share of people as well." He replied. "When the soldiers got close to the nursery, your mother and I gave them hell."
I smiled. "Please let her know I'm proud of her." I said. "And let her know she's welcome to drop by at any time. So are you, for that matter."
He nodded. I gave Brutus one more hug and head pats before heading back for the Fortress City.
It was going to be a long year, if we were lucky.

Open up mail delivery. See its the awesome Caterpillar fluffy cuddle toy & look👀 at pupper. Do the parent thing and 'tuck it away until she's older'.
Take Luna for walk
Feed the Twiggy of the dog world and think if my mum were still alive she'd be sly feeding my little miss like you wouldn't believe.
Throw & watch the Stalking of the Happy Hippo toy and its squeals as Luna does the head shake 'kill'. Repeat 50 times or until you lose count. Usually the later. Repeat with ball & other toys. Think you should have had a kid just so they could wear each other out for you.
Enjoy 2 hours of peace as she naps. Get lapful of fur baby once she wakes. Paws in painful places. Confirm to Luna that standing on back of lounge is just bad manners and if she thinks she can jump from lounge to kitchen bench Mummy is going to be very cross. Know for certain this is going to happen in the future anyways.
Another power nap - then its time for Mummy to go to bed. Tell Luna its wee time. Receive Eye of Disdain because bed is warm and comfy and its winter outside.
Pick Luna up and carry her outside. Have long and heartfelt conversation on 'this is why we can't have nice things' and wait for 20 minutes in the freezing cold before she finally deigns to do wee. All the while tip toeing across the wet grass like a four legged ballerina.
Go to bed.

Summer of 2018. No covid. No restrictions etc. We decided to host a bbq for our friends and decided to do it on a Saturday. My DH invited his friends, I invited my bestie, her family ( kids included ) and a couple of other friends. My husband knew my bestie had a young child ( girl aged 2 with severe epilepsy, and numerous other issues ) so we set up the travel cot, brought down our baby monitors and had a kid friendly area in the shade for them. Hired a bouncy castle, set up a sweet station etc.
So basically we were all having a good time, having a drink, and entertaining our friends when mil rocked up and my husband went to the gate and told her she couldn't come in as we had company.
She had previously embarrassed him in front of his friends by appearing up one night I was doing a night shift, screaming at him how he's a fat waste of space, his friends don't like him they only pity him, he's simple, he's stupid, he is ugly etc etc
Anyway she came to our gate and demanded food. My husband told her no. She got on like an imbecile. She turned on the tears, shouting he doesn't love her, screaming at the top of her voice that my husbands friends only came because I was there and they are all having sex with me behind his back. So his best friend went to the gate, said something super quiet and she shut up. Next thing she tried to come in, and our gate is coded so we changed the code and she couldn't get in. She screamed again how we are a waste of space and then she said she was ringing her daughter to come down and "sort me out"
I told her don't bother ringing her and she's coming down anyway to bring my nephew down to play on the bouncy castle. She started screaming again about how her entire family have turned on her( my fault ) how noone talks to her ( my fault ) and how her eldest son came out as gay and she blames that on us. I simply explained he told us years ago he was gay, we met his fiancé, went to lunch, had them at our house etc and if it bothers you he is finally happy then check yourself.
She told my husband that I'm cheating on him with his best friend as she saw us in the car at mcdonalds one night. My husband calmly explained to her that he had picked me up from work as my husband was working late, he took me to mcdonalds to get some food, dropped me home and told me to text him when my hubby get home and that he would call up to give him some game as he left it in his house. She then said I was clearly just with my husband until someone better came along. I walked over and told her my husband is my dream guy. He has never lifted a hand, doesn't shout, supports me through my tough times, gets on amazingly with my family etc.

This angered her even more as she said then turned it around and said I am nothing but a slut who shows my body to anyone who asks( this wad because I was standing in a bikini top, and shorts and my slippers( my house, I'm gonna be comfy ) and that is why my husband chose me as he knew I was easy. This went on for about 2 hours in which time she was upsetting my friends kids. She left when my SIL came down and chased her away. Next day we had the rspca at our door due to abuse, starving him, restricting his water intake, and a million other things. The rspca came out, checked our dog, checked our garden etc. Said they didn't believe he was abused etc.
We do not see her at all now and she hates it. She lives in the street across from us. She rung my husbands work stating he was a drug user ( which my husbands boss asked him to do a drug test came back obviously clear ) contacted my employer saying I care for my FIL and I leave him in the house every single day, I hit him, I abuse him, I don't look after him etc. However I go over every day, tidy his house, make him a big batch of dinners and he simply defrost what he needs, lay out his tablets.

Hello, I hope this is the correct subreddit for this. I have dm'd in the past however I followed A Most Potent Brew. This will be my first one-shot which I will have planned from scratch.
The general premise is that of an escape room situation, only the size of the entire town. The town of Il-Goten has a Ghoul problem, and every night, the corpses of their ancestors rise once again to wreak havoc and terrorize the helpless town-people ever since the unfortunate demise of the town's founder and local necromancer, Julius Graven. The mayor is offering a reward to an adventuring party who is able to successfully lift Julius' enchantment and return their honored dead back to the afterlife. Except, none of this is real.
Its a ploy by the mayor to draw in more revenue from local adventurers, who come there to save a town from ghouls, and purchase supplies, trinkets, and support their economy. Everything is scripted and takes about a week to complete the mystery in game. Obviously, the towns-people are the ghouls, and are dressed up like scooby-doo monsters.
Precautions: In order to keep everyone safe, the mayor will give the players wooden weapons which have been blessed by the priest to cause the ghouls to flee at the slightest touch (since its all fake they just run away). The mayor won't take their weapons, but will plead with the adventurers to respect the honor of their ancestors and not to brutally cut them to pieces.
Story: The town of Il-Goten (pronounced Ill Gotten, like ill gotten gains) was never the same following Julius' Graven's death. His attempts to make himself immortal went horribly wrong, and the device he constructed to prolong his life brutally cut it short as well as causing their ancestors to rise from the dead from dusk till dawn, returning to the crypt before the sun comes up. Now it is up to these brave adventurers to save the town before their Graven Festival, which happens once every 100 years, (or last week) by collecting the pieces from Julius' past in order to dismantle his cruel machine. In order to do this they will need his diary, his staff, and his enchanted ring.
The diary is held by one of the ghouls, who is said to have been Graven's most trusted assistant, who will run at the sight of an adventurer. The recommended/planned way for the players to get it is by inquiring at the library for a magical relic which makes the wearer undetectable by the undead. This relic can be found in the run down house of Graven's assistant, and they just have to solve a simple riddle to reveal where its hidden. Once acquired all the ghouls will ignore the person wearing it, and the diary ghoul will pretend not to notice them. If players wish to bypass this, I'm thinking that they would need 3 consecutive stealth rolls of 15 or higher (I'm open to suggestions), to sneak past all the ghouls (who would try to warn Diary Ghoul) and grab the book. However, they can also just restrain him through other means I haven't thought of. I will be sure to introduce the town person who plays him before the night begins, and if they kill him or injure the ghoul, the town person will be noticeably absent/wounded.
Getting his enchanted ring requires the diary, as it contains both instructions as well as a hint. His ring resides deep inside the town crypt (Which was created specifically for this deception and is not home to any actual ancestors.) I haven't really given this part much thought yet, and I'm open to suggestions.
Getting his staff requires the diary, as it contains instructions on where to find it, but it does not require the ring, and could be acquired before getting the ring, but I'm not sure why you would want to do that. His staff is in the bedroom of his decrepit mansion, and can just be picked up with no hassle.
His machine is in the cellar of his house, and is guarded by something they'll have to fight. I'm thinking either a magic caster (maybe the priest) who will play the part of Julius Graven's undead corpse, or a townsperson who is willing to get a bit beat up, or maybe some magical construct. I'm open to ideas. After defeating the boss, they just have to follow the diary's magical incantation to stop the machine.
This is the end of the scripted part, or part 1.
I felt that it wouldn't be satisfying to have them go through this and tell them "btw it was all fake" so there are also things going on behind the scenes which will lead to a more satisfying conclusion.
The mayor is embezzling funds from the town. In order to fund his parties and furnish his mansion, the mayor is stealing funds which are meant to go to repairing the town after the ghoul actors destroy it (it wouldn't be realistic without a few broken windows and some property damage). As a result of this, 3 homes in the town are abandoned, and in a state of disrepair. A direct consequence of this is that a group of necromancers have secretly taken up refuge in one of the abandoned buildings. Players might see shadowy figures leaving the Graven estate, and if they choose to break into the abandoned building they're staying in they will find evidence that it is not as uninhabited as it seems. I don't really plan on adding a way to prevent the necromancers from succeeding in their plans to actually bring the dead townspeople to life, but if you think I should I will.
Following the adventurers successful dismantling of the machine, the mayor will have a party at midnight where the townspeople revel in the fact that there are no ghouls ravaging the streets... Until the decaying corpses of their ancestors crawl to the surface of the graveyard and begin attacking people. Panic ensues as this is NOT supposed to be happening, and the mayor gives up all pretense of caring about their undead relatives and pleads for the adventurers to hack the zombies to pieces. The necromancers can be found in the graveyard on the outskirts of town.
All in all there will be 3 fights: the boss fight in the cellar, the fight with the actual ghouls, and finally, the necromancers.
So there is my one-shot. Please give me advice or suggestions :)

Commander Beckett: “At least this lot is semi-competent.”
First Officer: “Agreed, Commander. I remember the last group they sent us. Hopeless, the lot of them.”
CB: “… weren’t you a member of the last lot?”
FO: “…”
Ensign: “Commander, I have something on long-range scanners.”
CB: “On-screen.”
The viewscreen lights up and shows a number of ships exiting FTL.
Ensign: “… I count 38 ships, Commander. Trajectory indicates they’re heading straight for us.”
CB, over internal comms: “… all hands, battle-stations! I repeat, all hands to battle-stations! This is not a drill!”
Klaxons alarm throughout the ship, as everyone on board makes ready to combat.
FO: “… the designs of the ships, and on-board IFF’s are indicative of Keltiss, Commander.”
CB: “Keltiss. We haven’t had any interactions with them before. Why have they shown up in force?”
FO: “Unknown.”
Ensign: “Commander, they’re hailing us.”
CB: “On-screen.”
The viewscreen image of the Keltiss ships is replaced with the image of a large humanoid reptilian creature, wearing a large headdress made of what appears to be the bones of a much larger creature.
Keltiss Speaker: “TSF Trailblazer, I am the designated Speaker for the Scattered Tribes of Keltiss.”
CB: “Designated Speaker, I am Commander Nathaniel Beckett, of the TSF Trailblazer. For what reason do you approach us?”
KS: “Commander Beckett, we would speak with an authority of Terra, and have gathered information that identifies you as such an individual. As promised by the War-kin witness, we have come to forge an alliance with Humanity, as our honour demands.”
CB: “… I am not someone that has the proper authority to negotiate an alliance between our two peoples’. Please allow me to contact Terran High Command, and we can have a diplomat and negotiator arrive within the day to facilitate the proceedings.”
KS: “The one to negotiate the alliance has been decided.”
CB: “… excuse me?”
KS: “The Keltiss demand the one named Human Dave. He has proven to be a trustworthy individual of your species, and his honour is not in question. We will open negotiations with him as the voice of Humanity.”
CB, to himself: “… the fuck have you done now, Dave?”
...
Human Dave gets up from his crouched position, and stretches his back, causing cracking and popping sounds to echo out in the room.
Captain hears the sound coming from the engine room and rushes in, expecting the worst.
Alien Captain: “Human Dave, what was that sound?”
Human Dave: “Captain? Oh, that was just my back.”
AC: “Your back? Human Dave, are you telling me that your spine made several cracking noises? Are you injured?”
HD: “Oh, no, Captain. My back was just a little stiff from being hunched over for so long.”
AC: “… I take it that this is a common occurrence amongst humans?”
HD: “You would be correct, Captain. Think of it like realigning my spine into its natural state after being in an unnatural state for too long.”
The conversation is interrupted by Human Dave’s implant sounding out a notification.
HD: “Oh, I got a message. Hang on, Captain.”
Captain waves his arm to confirm that he does not mind.
The voice coming from the pre-recorded message is loud enough to echo out in the engine room.
Commander Beckett: “DAVID FUCKING ANDERS!”
Both Captain and Human Dave are surprised by the volume of Commander Beckett’s voice.
CB: “YOU WANT TO TELL ME WHY THE FUCK I HAVE KELTISS DEMANDING TO BOARD MY SHIP UNDER THE REASONING OF FUTURE DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS?!”
AC: “…”
HD: “…”
AC: “… you did tell Commander Beckett that the Keltiss intended to forge an alliance with Humanity, did you not?”
HD: “In fact, Captain, I did. Sent that particular recording to him the day that it happened. Maybe he hasn’t had time to watch it?”
AC: “… should we…?”
HD: “Might be best to get to the Trailblazer as quick as we can. Who knows what’ll happen between Commander Beckett and any Keltiss War-kin without any context.”
AC: “Agreed.”
Captain activates his comms.
AC: “Pilot Reeda, how far are we from the TSF Trailblazer?”
Pilot Reeda: “… a quarter cycle off-course, Captain, but our cargo is indicated non-urgent, so I hope your clients will mind if we take a little detour.”
AC: “Pilot Reeda, should we not hope that they will not mind a detour?”
PR: “I don’t much care what they think, Captain. I just didn’t know we were a human delivery service.”
AC: “Pilot Reeda, Ship is not a delivery service for humans.”
PR: “Really? Then why is it that every time something happens, it’s because of Human Dave?”
AC: “…”
PR: “Exactly.”
HD: “You know I can hear you, right, Reeda'Tila-Lasoran?”
PR: “Yes, Human Dave. That was the intention.”
HD: “Would you just fly the damn ship to the Trailblazer? I’ve got a very angry Commander Beckett to deal with, and you delaying us isn’t going to make things any better.”
PR: “… so, delaying things would make things worse?”
HD: “I will come up there and bite you, Reeda'Tila-Lasoran!”
AC: “Pilot Reeda, please redirect our course to the Trailblazer.”
PR: “… understood, Captain.”
...
CB: “WHAT THE HELL TOOK YOU SO LONG?!”
Commander Beckett basically yells at Human Dave the moment Ship opens up a communication channel with the Trailblazer.
HD: “… nice to see you too, Commander. We were in the middle of a cargo run when we got your message, and you haven’t been checking your messages.”
Commander Beckett glares at Human Dave.
CB: “What the Hell are you on about now, Anders?”
HD: “I sent you very lengthy recordings regarding not one, but two encounters we had with the Keltiss. The most recent one was about how they wanted to forge an alliance with us following the Hunt we participated in.”
CB: “…”
HD: “I mean, I guess after this, they’ll go to the Cradelian cradle-world to forge an alliance with them as well, because it was actually Captain that won the Hunt.”
AC: “Actually, it was this creature that did the majority of the hunting.”
Captain points at the Viscer-Tel on his shoulder, who puts its wing over Captain’s head.
CB: “Regardless of who did what, we have a rather large contingent of Keltiss in one of our main conference rooms, all eager to speak with you, Anders.”
HD: “Me?”
CB: “Yes, you. They want you to be the one to negotiate the terms of the alliance on behalf of Terra.”
A look of shock appears on Human Dave’s face, followed by a look of resignation as he begins to realise what kind of situation he has walked into.
HD: “… ah, crap.”
Captain puts a hand on Human Dave’s shoulder, smiling widely.
AC: “Good luck, Human Dave. Better you than me.”
Human Dave slowly turns to Captain, a look of smugness replacing the earlier look of resignation.
HD, grinning: “You do realise you’ll most likely have to do this for your people, right, Captain?”
An expression of confusion appears on Captain’s face, before a look of horror replaces it; now realising that the success of the Hunt was on his shoulders, and the added responsibility of representing his species with the Keltiss opposite.
AC: “… ah, crap.”

I started Nexplanon in 2019. Only side effects were the irregular periods, at least that I remember. Other than that, I loved not having to worry about it. I got it taken out in August last year. It had migrated, so the doctor had a bit of a hard time getting it out. That was kind of a painful process, but once it was out, they inserted the new one and I was fine fora bit.
A couple days ago, I started noticing some weird sensations going on in my arm. I felt numbness and tingling in my left arm, from my shoulder to my hand. I sit at a computer all day at work, so I figured maybe it was some kind of pinched nerve from doing the same repetitive movements with a keyboard and mouse all the time. The Nex didn't even really cross my mind until I went to Urgent Care on Friday. They had me do some stretching and gripping tests. I still had full strength in the arm, and could use it like normal. They thought it was probably a pinched nerve but they told me to definitely consult with my doctor because the Nexplanon could be potentially an issue too, and prescribed me with 500mg Naproxen.
I've been taking it for a couple of days and it's been helping but it feels like the nerve pain has been getting worse. And now I'm 95% sure it's the nexplanon. I called my GYN, and I already had an appointment set up for July, but I needed something soon. They offered me a date for the 28th, but that's ironically the same time I'll be out of town. I asked for something sooner and they just told me that my doctor wasn't available, and that she was the only one who could remove it (which I honestly don't believe, because there's several doctors in that office who I'm sure have experience with this). I explained that I was in pain and that it was bothersome and they just kept telling me that she doesn't have anything available. I ended up making an appointment with Planned Parenthood to get an emergency removal the week before I leave town, since nothing else seemed possible. Aren't they supposed to take you in at anytime if it's an emergency?
I'm calling the GYN office AGAIN in a few hours to get them to see me sooner because I just got off the phone with another doctor from that same office who was on call and was like "they told you to wait a month and you're in pain? I don't believe that". She then advised me to call back in the morning because they have to take it out if it's causing a reaction. I'm still not sure if it is the nexplanon or not but I don't wanna wait any longer.
Part of me wishes I had just gotten it taken out sooner, but I have not had any issues up until now since the removal. And the timing is just super bad. I have so much anxiety over it and didn't really know where else to get it off my chest but here. I'm going to be really disappointed if it is the Nex.

I turn 16 in 3 days and I'm wasting my life away. Idrc what happens anymore but I just need to talk to someone who is a christian and vent about what is going on in my life. Sorry if this is kinda long but I just need help.
I don't really know where to start so I may bounce around a little but I will start with the first thing that happened and led me to this point. When I was 3 I was put in the foster system for 6 months because of my parents addiction to meth and alcohol. During this time I was a group home and locked in a dark rooms for hours.
Then I had six years of peace but then on my 9th birthday mt parents broke up and my dad kicked my mom. After that they both started using meth and drinking again, I didn't see my mom for 6 months and my dad was always in his room doing meth or something. This is when I first discovered porn. Since that day I have not gone more then 15 days without watching it. For the past year I have tried to stop but haven't been able to.
After a little bit I went back with my mom when she got sober but on thanksgiving she started using again and left for 3 days and I had to watch me 1 year old brother during that time. The on February 6th 2018, I was walking to school when my dad came and kidnapped me. I was with him for only 1 day until I escaped but I was in his basement around weed, meth, needles, and guns. Then at 1 am I told him I was hungry and he left to get sonic. So when he left I also snuck out and left. This day really messed me up. I act like it doesn't but it does. When I was leaving I thought I saw him pulling into our street and at that moment is when I felt the most fear I have ever felt to this day. Luckily it was just some random car and I was able to get away. Then I went on with my life like nothing happened. However I was scared to leave my apartment, to go to school, and was just sad in general. Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I stayed, Would life be better? Idk. This was the last time I've seen or talked to my dad.
Then 3 months latter I was put in foster care again because my mom got caught using meth. During this time period I was with 2 different families. Both were amazing and good but I still had all of this stuff that happened to me before. Then in August of 2020 I decided to give my lift to Christ. I didn't fully know what I meant but Ik that he was my savior. After that when ever I watched porn I felt guilty it was weird, it was like something flipped in my brain. I didn't even know watching it was a sin until 2 months after that.
Now 3 years later I'm still watching it and it is destroying me life. This one thing I do is totally destroying my life. I've dealt with all my past trauma, I have a 3.7 Gpa in school, I've had a job for 2 year and I'm getting a new job, I'm getting my licence, I have good friends, I go to church every Sunday, I'm praying everyday, I'm trying to read the bible everyday, I'm going to the gym 6 times a week. Everything in my life is progressing except me breaking my addiction and the lies the enemy is speaking to me.
I know they are lies and its wrong but I keep doing it. Its not even enjoyable anymore but I keep doing it. I cant stop and I'm trying so hard. It is destroying my life even though I have all these good things. I need to stop, I worry that this addiction will eventually lead to me repeating my parents mistakes and what they do.
In March of 2022 I tried killing myself. No one knows this, absolutely know one knows this. I don't know how I'm alive right now. It is only by Gods grace that I am alive. I tied a rope around my neck and tightened it to the point I couldn't get off. So there I was at 1am suffocating to death when I had a vision my younger me walk up and look so disappointed in me, like he didn't recognize me. I then woke up with the rope lying next to me. I don't remember how I got it off. So I can only conclude that God saved me.
From that point on I've dedicated every waking moment to improving my life and self. I have everything has gotten better. I am so much happier now and in such a good place but porn is still destroying my life. I don't really know what to do anymore. I still love and trust God.
Up until about a month ago I would hear from him everyday but one day it just stopped. I could feel the distance, I knew Satan is coming for me. I'm still faithful but I'm dying inside. So know im sitting here at 1:10am writing this not even knowing if anyone cares or if anyone is gonna help.
At the start of my freshman year of high school I fell in love with this girl. I wont say her name but she is the most beautiful and amazing girl ever. Then I messed it up because I got scared that she was gonna leave. Then we stopped talking. I then became friends with this one friend group and one of the guys was talking to and started dating her. I felt so much pain from that. Everyday I would have to hear or see him and hear together.
Now today I want to reach out again. They have been apart for like 8 months now but the guy is still pissy about it. Ik I would be breaking bro code but I need some sort of closure and to just talk to her. I need these feeling I've had for two years to go away or for something to happen.
I've likes multiple girls since and gone on a few dates but even then I still always go back to this one girl. She is so special and I don't know what to do about it.
So because I miss her I then go and substitute porn for the feeling I have and hope they will fill the void or if I'm bored, or feel alone, or am sad. Its gotten a lot better and now its mainly just because its something to do.
I don't know what to do anymore. Today I'm thinking if God is even there for me anymore or whats going on. Idk maybe I should just let go and become what everyone think I will become.
I've had multiple people like my adopted brothers, old friends, and over heard my 1st foster family say that I will just end up a homeless drug addict. Idk. It motivates me so much to prove them wrong and not just be statistic cause kids who grow up with addicts for parents are 8x more likely to become addicts as well.
I just need help breaking this addiction.

I had a laparoscopic appendectomy Sunday night. Tonight I showered and changed my bandaids for the second time since leaving. The two incisions on my abdomen showed nothing concerning but there was a fair amount of runny cleayellow fluid in my bellybutton, presumably from the incision there. Hey, first time posting here. It might be a bit long, but please bear with me.
Update: Just made a few edits. All names are fake.
Across the street from my terraced house is a parking lot which is owned by "Alex." Alex doesn't live here nor uses the lot, he only rents spaces out to locals. Locals in this context specifically include me and most of the people living in the multi apartment building next door (I think it's about 8 or 10 apartments, some are leased but most are occupied by owners.)
Driving from Alex's parking lot onto the quite busy street can sometimes be a hassle due to the poor visibility of the oncoming cars. One of the neighbours "Frank" asked the owner Alex to install a visibility mirror on the wall opposite to the parking lot's exit for safety, but Alex refused to do so. So Frank gathered his neighbours for a meeting and they've decided to all chip in and buy the mirror themselves.
Here is an important point - I wasn't ever even notified that this meeting had taken place, neither was I notified of the decisions made at that meeting. Nevertheless, Frank then bought and installed the mirror.
Fast forward a few months, I get an email from Frank asking me to chip in for the mirror and telling me what my share should be and I flat our refuse to do so using the following 3 arguments:
1) I should have been notified of this decison in advance. You can't do something without my consent and then demand money from me. 2) In any case, the costs should be covered by the owner of the parking lot and not by us the renters. 3) It turned out that the mirror they bought was FOUR TIMES AS EXPENSIVE as the mirrors sold by the shop next door. (They argued it was because the mirror they bought was square-shaped rather than circular-shaped as sold at the store - even though I don't see any benefits to having square corners, as the road we see in the mirror is horizontal and not at a 45° angle... 🤦)
After my reply I haven't heard from Frank anymore, but was confronted a few days later by another neighbour "John," asking me why was I being cheap and whether I don't find the mirror useful. I told him that this was not the point and repeated the points I wrote to Frank. He didn't seem to care that this is not how things should be done and very sarcastically added that he will pay for my share and that I can still happily use the mirror.
Anyway, I think I did the right thing, but I don't really want to have poor relationship with my neighbours over a relatively small amount of money. Nevertheless, if I would be notified in advance and if the money wouldn't be wasted on a 4 times too expensive mirror, I would happily contribute any amount - higher or lower - regardless of the owner Alex.

I’m at my wits end. I am seriously considering rehoming my dog and I feel immense shame, failure, guilt, and grief. I’m a dog mom at the core of my identity - I’ve successfully raised several dogs in my life. An Australian Shepherd, a pitbull mix, a SCW terrier, etc. and I guess I have finally met my match. I got an XL American Bully at 8 weeks old and raised him by the book (or at least in my mind). He’s now 11 months old, and we’ve completed potty training, crate training, basic commands, and some leash training. I’m very cognizant of his breed perception, so I’ve done a lot of work to attempt to raise an obedient dog.
I can’t seem to get him to settle down AT ALL. I am an attorney (read: very busy) - but I spend tons and tons of money on professional dog walkers, doggie day care, and various toys and activities for him. All of my down time is dedicated to taking him on hikes, walks, trips to a friends house to play with their dog…. He can easily spend hours and hours with a doggie friend at full throttle, and still be worked up at home. He will bleed from his dog pads and I can’t get him to stay still even when he’s in pain. On a daily basis, he gets a minimum of 3 hours of exercise, plus dog chews and sniffing puzzles. On doggie daycare days, a lot more. I’ve attempted to teach him inside and outside behaviors, but his stubbornness and hyperactivity make him a tyrant in the house. He will run and jump - stop when I give a command, but then go immediately back to doing it.
I make him sit and wait for my command to eat. I’ve raised him to be a confident dog and exposed him to a lot of people, places, and dogs. He’s friendly and boisterous with other dogs - definitely a lot for most dogs.
He won’t learn special relations. He’s a bull in a china shop. He knocks people over regularly. He runs into everything. He will still clothesline me on a walk in a moment of distracted weakness. He slipped my grip one time and took off down the street, which shocked me… I can usually do off leash commands with him easily. It was only once, but he has these moments where I have no clue who my dog is. Is my dog crazy? Am I?
While he is potty trained, he drinks A TON of water. Won’t stop, actually. If you give him access to unlimited water, he will drink until he is squealing in pain. He will then literally walk and pee while on the way to the door to tell me he has to pee… mind you, I’ve just taken him out 5-10 minutes before for about the 5th time.
He play nips with other people when I’m not around. He doesn’t do it when I’m home, and I honestly didn’t believe it when my sister told me he did. She said he even nipped another dog on a walk and he has NEVER done anything like that around me. Still not sure I believe it. But again, there are these moments where I don’t recognize my dog.
He’s destructive if I don’t watch him 24/7 outside of the crate. He has destroyed every dog bed except the K9 ballistics dog bed in the metal frame. He shreds blankets and towels, so he doesn’t get them anymore. He destroys every mental stimulation toy I give him. He destroys anything you leave laying around, if you aren’t watching. I don’t like having him in the crate except for when we are sleeping, or not at home. I spend a ton of money to keep him out of the crate every day.
The slightest of movements on my part (getting up to grab something, rolling over on the couch, stepping to the side to throw things away) cause him to get hyper excited all over again, no matter how much exercise he’s had. I feel like I can’t breathe. He won’t be calm, EVER. Only when he slips off to sleep.
I’m embarrassed to bring him anywhere. At the same time, he needs to be out of the crate. So embarrassment, stress, and anxiety inevitably ensue.
None of his littermates have turned out like this - and I’ve done so much more than most. Where did I go wrong? Can I fix it? I hate my day to day life - and he’s costing me a fortune. I’m having a hard time bonding with him. But how could I have failed? What do I do? I never imagined I could ever be someone who just can’t take it anymore… I can’t give up on him but I’m miserable. Any advice?

Act III - The Gathering of the Clouds

Mia Everett
Visually confirming Rainn's revelation, Victoria is shown in a cage inside Amelia Everett's lab, within Biosyn's Citadel. Mia does her best to comfort the scared and depressed Achillobator and her motivations are explored shortly after. It's revealed that due to her experience within the team who made the Indominus and the Indoraptor, Biosyn tasked her with reviving InGen's IBRIS program by breeding raptors with high obedience potential. However, none of the achillobators cloned by Biosyn proved to be trainable enough for the program's ambitions (even though they attempted to mimic Owen's experience by having keepers being there at the animals' birth), which displeased Dodgson and the other higher-ups, who are now favouring another research team, who focuses on a more intrusive way of controlling dinosaurs. Basically treated as a second-class researcher amidst a rather toxic work environment, Mia became desperate enough to hire poachers to capture Blue, which she intended to breed with their achillobators in order to finally have trainable individuals. As Victoria is not sexually mature, Mia is in front of a considerable setback and fears that Dodgson will pull the plug due to her lack of results, especially in this troubled period for Biosyn.
The tying noose
The next day, the intel collected by the UN agents (people involved in the Black Market, Biosyn's connections with it) are sent to the nearby countries, including Italy, where an arrest warrant is launched against Kayla.
On his side, Isaac Gibbon is contacted by Bigelow who tells him about the debacle of their mission in Malta, saying that Claire and Owen saved the grey guards from disaster. He orders her to stay in Italy for the moment and wait for new orders. Shortly receives, he receives a candidate for a desk job in the DSD: It's Franklin. Gibbon tells Franklin he heard about his bravery during the 2019 incidents and his past connection with InGen (Before the DPG, Franklin worked for it as an IT Technician), before asking questions about Claire as he is aware that she collaborated with him not only on some occasions in the past few years but also in the 2019 Costa Rican incident, where Franklin was the couple's companion while they were running from InGen's agents and the authorities.
Dubrovnik
The inhabitants and tourists of the Croatian seaside city of Dubrovnik are surprised when a Biosyn Quetzalcoatlus descends upon the old town and starts attacking people. As a joke similar to one in TLW with the Japanese businessman and his reference to Godzilla, some extra could yell in Valyrian "I left Westeros because of this!" or "By the Seven, not again!" (Dubrovnik was one of Game of Thrones' filming location).
Ramsay's email
In a manner similar to the Hawaii attack scene in Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, the Dubrovnik scene cuts just as the Quetzal swoops on the bystanders and we are now in the bar of Biosyn's employee village. Wu is watching the news of the Dubrovnik attack on the TV (there is even a declaration from Zoe Murdoch, in which she denies the pterosaur came from Auronzo's Sanctuary and was probably created by a rival company who somehow put their hands upon Biosyn Quetzalcoatlus DNA. In the bar, someone whisper that one of their Quetzals did escaped from the valley thanks to the temporary deactivation of the invisible fence system and that Dodgson has launched an investigation to know who's responsible) when he receives a mysterious email from Ramsay, which includes the name of some woman. Wu search it on the internet and ends up on IMDB where he discovers that the adult "Charlotte" on the videos is actually an actress who lives in London.
Arrest
In Rome, early in the morning, Kayla is arrested in her flat by the police as she is accused of illegal smuggling.
Viscontini
Following all the incidents in the Alps, the clash in the Sabine Hills and the recent Dubrovnik attack, people gets pissed at Biosyn and protests occur in several locations, including Rome. In the Italian Ministry of the Interior, Viscontini has an argument with Pazzi, declaring that they need to take severe actions against Biosyn but the minister retorts that taking large-scale actions against the corporation might trigger a whole deal of undesirable consequences, including deteriorating US-Italian relations due to the close ties between Biosyn and the US government. He won't risk that just because of some rumours, weak proof and small incidents. Viscontini retorts that soon, Biosyn might have an angry mob showing at its gates with the goal of driving it out of Italy.
Following Vuillier's instructions, Claire, Owen, Nyamu and Dougal leave Malta the same day and fly to the Eternal City, where they have to meet Viscontini in the AISI headquarters. There, they have a video call with Vuillier. He and Viscontini wants to send the trio of WDMC agents to Auronzo Valley so they can infiltrate Biosyn's facility, find compromising information and transmit them to the Italian authorities, hoping to finally convince Pazzi and the rest of the government to take action against Biosyn. However, one of the agents points out that they will need an entrance ticket as one doesn't simply walk into Auronzo, since the borders of Biosyn's lands are guarded and monitored while some people disappeared after going too close from the Sanctuary (anti-Biosyn activists, reckless adventurers, Grendel Corporation's spies, others from the AISI's and Austrian government). Viscontini declare they might have that ticket.
We cut to Kayla in her prison cell. The guard announces she has visit and she is brought to a room where Viscontini and Dougal waits for her. The head of the AISI and the WDMC agent then negotiate with her: In exchange for her freedom, she will bring Dougal, Claire and Owen to Biosyn's Sanctuary. However, Viscontini precise he'll have her hunted down if she ever betrays them.
Kayla raises the fact that she can't show up at Auronzo like this and needs a motive. Viscontini and Dougal then talk about the animals seized in Malta's black market.
Theo's Mission
That day, Wu summons Theo, explain the whole issue with the fake Charlotte and ask him to go to London, find the actress and question her about the videos so they can have proofs to show Maisie, who started to really become insufferable because of Dodgson's bad influence (in that part of the story, one of the few scenes where she's likeable is one where she and Drummond bonds over the common passion for dinosaurs). The ex-mercenary soon leaves Auronzo, taking a bus for Venice in the nearest village while Wu explains to Pellegrino and Dodgson that Theo had urgent family matters to deal with in the UK.
Leaving San Francisco
Desiring to supervise the Dolomites Crisis more closely, Vuillier fly to Italy.
Nine containers
As evidence of Biosyn's possible connections to the Maltese black market has been discussed on the news, Dodgson knows it's a matter of time before Vuillier, the Italians or the Austrians send people in Auronzo and expose Biosyn's misdeeds.
We then follow Pellegrino's POV as she oversees the exit of nine large mysterious containers from the Citadel and their departure from the airstrip just outside the valley. One of her subordinates asks what's inside and she answers that she has no idea, with Dodgson only giving her a series of instructions. They watch the containers being flown abroad.
The following day, Pellegrino speak about it to Wu and other employees with anti-Dodgson sentiments like Drummond. She notices that Wu is uncomfortable as they talk about it and realize he must be hiding something. Ramsay, who just arrived from the US in preparation for a big corporate event in the Citadel, almost surprise their discussion. As they're not sure if they can trust him or not, they pretend it's nothing. Wu then phones Theo and asks him about his secret mission's progress.
London
In London, Theo finds the actress from the videos and initially posing as a reporter, filming her in an interview, he then ask her questions about the videos and after some hesitations, she concedes to give him answers and reveals among other things that the shooting occurred a few months ago in some local warehouse, that the director of those videos is none other than Colin Trevorrow (who, desperate for a job after the debacle of the Jurassic World film, accepted to participate to that project, oblivious that Biosyn was behind it since a dummy company took care of the production).
AISI
Vuillier arrives in Rome and meets with his agents, Nyamu and Viscontini in one of the AISI headquarters' conference rooms, where a map of Auronzo Valley and its surroundings has been laid. Kayla is also there and offscreen, our characters talk about the plan.
At the end of the meeting, everyone but Vuillier and Viscontini leave the room. Both have a secret conversation during which the Italian say that the Grey Guard's Mediterranean Company, supported by the Austrians and secretly by him (as he fears that Biosyn has informers within the Italian government), are deployed in one of the villages near Auronzo, and is supposed to act as a Plan B should the Claire-Owen-Dougal trio fail, by taking a secret path through an old mine and a mountain pass before breaking into Biosyn's citadel. The WDMC agents don't know that and when Vuillier ask why, Viscontini answers that it's better that way (should the agents be captured ant tortured, they won't tell Biosyn that there is a second team) and that the secret path isn't safer as one of his spy was killed by some creature after taking it and arriving in sight of the valley. He thinks that a small dozen of grey guards have better chances surviving the pass' guardian(s) than three civilian agents.
To the Dolomites
The next day, in the middle of the morning, Kayla is preparing her plane in some airstrip near Rome and the seized creature from the black market is loaded in the hold (I have no idea which species to choose). Equipped by the Italians, Claire, Owen and Dougal say farewell to Vuillier, Nyamu and Viscontini. The Frenchman tells Claire that it's time to unleash the She-wolf upon Dodgson but Claire correct him by saying "Not the She-wolf. The Dragon." (in this AU, she has a particular connection with the dragon-like Indominus), implying she'll get the mission done whatever it takes. He and the other two men wish them good luck and the trio of WDMC agents climb aboard the plane. They soon take off.
Biosyn's aerial defense
Kayla's plane arrives in sight of the mountains which delimit Biosyn's Sanctuary. Informed of their mission by Vuillier and Viscontini, one of the grey guards is watching the plane through his binoculars as it passes over the village where they are staying.
Kayla is soon contacted by the Citadel's control room as they detected the aircraft on their radars and they ask her why she's coming. The pilot answer that she collected an animal which might interest them (she told the WDMC agents and the Italians that Biosyn doesn't have this particular species in their Sanctuary) and ask to land on their airstrip. While the Biosyn employees discuss, the plane is about to enter Auronzo Valley by the east, as that part of the sanctuary is the furthest from most of the buildings (while the airstrip is in the northernmost parts of Biosyn's lands, beyond the mountains with the frozen dam lake) and thus where Claire, Owen and Dougal has the best chances of landing unnoticed. The trio of agents take their parachutes and prepare to jump, but at the same time, Dodgson, who heard that Kayla was arrested by the authorities just a few days ago, fears that her plane is a Trojan horse and decides to activate the valley's "aerial defense". On the screen of one of the room's monitors, we see a group of dots heading straight towards the plane. It's actually a group of pteranodons, from the same toothed variant as those who appeared in Jurassic Park 3 (there is even at least one black male identical to the scrapped one from Johnston's film), and they just collide with the plane, crashing against the cockpit and getting turned to shred by the rotors' blades, damaging the plane (the scene is partly inspired by a cutscene from the Ninth Mission of Paraworld's campaign). Owen wonder why those pteranodons behave in a suicidal manner. Suddenly, the pteranodons retreat and as their window is shrinking, the agents know they have to jump now (they've reached the middle of the valley and their trajectory deviated northwards, towards the mountain dam). Claire jumps first but as Owen is about to jump in his turn, the plane is attacked by a Quetzalcoatlus and the Raptor Whisperer sees another and a few pteranodons chasing her fiancée, whose parachute opened. Claire shakes the pterosaurs off by disappearing into the valley's dense forest. As they will be grabbed by the attacking pterosaurs as soon as they leave the aircraft, Owen, Dougal and Kayla stay inside it and brace for the crash. The plane crashes down at the surface of the frozen lake by the mountain dam in the northern part of the valley.
Back in Rome, Vuillier, Nyamu and Viscontini are worried as they heard the agents and the pterosaurs' screams (they had an open channel all that time with Kayla's plane). They hope the agents will survive this ordeal and activate the beacons they were given before their departure.
Note: The fate of the animal they took with them is still unclear for me. It really depends on the chosen species. If it's something large and potentially dangerous, Kayla would probably want to drop it in the valley in order to have a lighter plane and not deal with it after crashing. But if it's a creature about the size of a small dog for example, they could free it as they leave the wreckage.
Gigantoraptor
We then cut to Claire hanging in the trees but instead of a Therizinosaurus (which already appeared in TRQ. Moreover, Claire had a small arc with this species in that story), she is threatened by a Gigantoraptor. The scene plays out much like the Theri scene from Trevorrow's version, with Claire hiding in a pond etc.. Once the Gigantoraptor walks away, Claire gets out of the pond and sees the fumes from the plane's crash in the distance, behind the mountain dam.
The dam lake
Before it sinks in the lake, Owen, Dougal and Kayla leave her plane and step on the ice. Under it, they notice a large shadow and know they better move away from the lake. They notice a ladder by the dam but as they head towards it, a Quetzalcoatlus or a Pteranodon lands on their way. They step back, moving towards an opening on the lake's surface. Suddenly, a giant 9-meters long temnospondyl (based upon an unnamed and fragmentary genus from Lesotho) burst out the water, almost killing one of the characters. Ensue a scene where our three protagonists have to evade both the pterosaur and the amphibian. The pterosaur ends up being dragged underwater by the temnospondyl but other pterosaurs arrive and to escape them, our trio climbs on the dam and rushes to its elevator, going down in the valley. Down at the dam's base, they notice it's dilapidated and Kayla tell her two companions that Biosyn sell some of its power to the nearest villages.
Note: The main doubt I have about this scene is having a temnospondyl living in the icy water of a mountain lake. It might be too much of a stretch so if you think it's not realistic at all, it will be scrapped from the scene (and perhaps be replaced by a juvenile Baryonyx or something like this, an animal which could be also the one our characters brought with them in the plane.
Plan B
Since the agents lost their beacons during the pterosaurs' attack and the crash, they couldn't tell Rome that they were still alive. Vuillier and Viscontini fear the worst and send a message to Laurenzo Cesare.
Droppings
Meanwhile, Claire started walking towards the dam, hoping to find her companions on the way if they made it out alive from the crash. When she hears a racket in the woods, she hides and a Biosyn tyrannosaur arrives. But it's not on a hunting mode and instead, it just leaves some droppings on a log near Claire's hiding place. After the predator leaves, she approaches the log and smears her face with the droppings, remembering her "Walk in the Park" with Owen when they searched her nephews during the Fall of Jurassic World (the droppings hide her smell, dissuading the other animals to investigate her).
Argument
An argument bursts out between Owen, Dougal and Kayla while they're walking south. The first wants to find his fiancée, the second says that their mission is more important, and Kayla is mad at both men since she lost her plane (and livelihood) because of the WDMC's mission. And unsure about her intentions, the two men distrust her but she tries to reassure them by saying that Biosyn can fuck off since they are also responsible for destroying her plane.
However, the Sanctuary's denizens remind them that they better be united or else it will be the failure of their quest.
At some distance, in the middle of the fog, they see the recognizable silhouette of a sauropod, that of an Argentinosaurus (the species was seen in the distance and mentioned earlier in the story. Instead of Argentinosaurus, it could also be another large titanosaur). However, this herbivore has the particularity of having a symbiotic relation with some small carnivore species within Biosyn Sanctuary (I'm more thinking about a pterosaur or a flying/semi-arboreal theropod than a strictly ground-dwelling predator. For now, the baboon-sized Variraptor is my candidate), with the Argentinosaurus letting those carnivores eat its parasites and the insects flying around it while the carnivores will let out an alarm call shall a large predator approach. It could be illustrated in a scene where an Acrocanthosaurus (the one from the Drive-in scene) is spotted by the carnivores as it passes by. The Argentinosaurus turns to face the larger predator, adopt a defensive posture, and as the acro hasn't yet moved, the smaller carnivores take off from the sauropod and flies straight to the acro's head. Harassed by those creatures, the Acrocanthosaurus retreats. Thus, if those small carnivores (which we'll call the Argentinosaurus' suite) are brave enough to attack a megatheropod, our three protagonists know they're not safe and that they better move away.
The Sanctuary's true nature
While still heading north, Claire's path crosses that of a bull Shantungosaurus. She move out of his way and stay still. She and the audience recognize the animal as he was already in the JW rewrite and TRQ (in the first story, he gained some scars after a fight with a few Metriacanthosaurus), where he was a secondary "character" (and a threat in a few scenes). Both have a peaceful scene where they make eye contact but that quiet moment is shattered when a gunshot resounds in the forest and the hadrosaur flees, badly wounded. Claire hides and in the distance, she sees a hunter, accompanied by a couple of Biosyn security guards and another employee which she presume is some sort of supervisohunting guide. Watching how the hunter is dressed and how he behave in the wild, she knows he's not a professional hunter but just a rich hobbyist and then realizes the Sanctuary's true nature: It's a hunting reserve. As the Shantungosaurus escaped them, the hunter express his discontentment at the guide, which promise to find him another quarry. They leave and following the blood trail left by the hadrosaur, Claire finds him by a stream. His wounds are too grievous and he's too weak to lash out at Claire, who kneels by his head, trying to comfort him in his last moments, up until his last breath. Watching another of her former park's animals dying fills Claire with not only grief, but also anger. She change her plans and heads back south instead of continuing northward, following the hunting party's track.
Note: It doesn't necessarily have to be a Shantungosaurus in the role of the animal shot by the hunters, but it have to be a recognizable animal from the previous installments for emotional impact and Claire's development (another candidate could be the Therizinosaurus from TRQ)
She later finds another hunting party. One of its members, a Biosyn guard, pulls out an item she recognize: a raptor resonating chamber. The guard use it like a bird call and soon, an Achillobator, arrive, believing it heard one of its kind. The poor animal is shot by the hunters, who scream in satisfaction before taking a picture with their quarry. They then brings it to the Biosyn vehicle waiting nearby but before they leave (after having a short conversation during they mention that another team captured the rex and is bringing it the paddocks), Claire deliberately attract the attention of one of the guards, the same one which used the resonating chamber, and he say to his companions he won't be long. He move away from the road and deeper in the woods, he fall into Claire's ambush. She kill him, loot some of his equipment (including the resonating chamber), hide his body and leave. Worried for his colleague, the other guard with the hunters orders the guide to drive them back to the lodge, and search his friend. But he too is murdered by Claire, who takes a small metallic box on him. Activating the box, she realize it's a sonic weapon she has seen before, in the hands of InGen Security's elite troops during the fall of Isla Nublar (it's like a weaponized version of the box Dodgson and his companions have in Crichton's TLW). She turns it off, take it with her and follows the hunters vehicle's tracks on the road, towards the lodge.
However, Claire ignores she's being watched, and not by human eyes...
Over hill
Cesare and his men leave their accommodation and head for the frontiers of Biosyn's lands. Leaving their vehicles near a ruined fort, the grey guards start their trek while the sun is setting behind the mountains ahead of them.
A bed in the trees
As walking through the valley at night would be too dangerous, Owen, Dougal and Kayla decide to find a resting place and climb in a tree. From it, they have a panorama on a nearby lake and notice they are approximately halfway between the dam and the Citadel. At this moment, we also have peaceful scenes with the valley's denizens at dusk (Pelecanimimus fishing in the lake, herbivores drinking nearby, the same Spinosaurus from the report at the beginning peacefully sitting on the bank like an oversized duck...).
Theo's peace
In the evening, just a few hours before his flight to Venice, Theo also passes by his former home, which he left years ago before joining Ken Wheatley's mercenary company. His ex-wife still lives here and noticing that she started a new life with another man and seems happy, he walks away in peace, leaving behind him the last picture he had of himself and her (earlier in the story, Theo is seen looking at said picture).
The secret path
Back in Italy, the grey guards find the entrance of an old mine and enter it, taking the path that will allow them to pass under the limits of Biosyn's lands.
Mercenaries
Mercenary troops land in Biosyn's airstrip and their leader is brought to the Citadel. He has a discussion with Dodgson behind closed doors.
Foes... or allies?
A few hours after nightfall, Claire finally finds a large old chalet with typical Tyrolean architecture: The Hunting Lodge (it's implied that it was built way before Biosyn bought those lands, when the area was still part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, before WWI). Claire remarks it's surrounded by an invisible fence (identical to the one from Jurassic World Evolution 2's Biosyn DLC) which prevents the animals from getting too close. Aware that the lodge wouldn't be a shelter for her and that its occupants probably outnumber her, she turns away from it, continuing to wander in the woods. But just a few minutes later, she hears sound in the nearby bushes. Aware she might be hunted, she is ready to use the ultrasound box and fight for her life. A pack of Achillobators shows up, menacingly walking towards her. At the same time, it starts to rain.
Claire first thinks of using the box and running away while the predators would be bothered by the sound but she knows it will be useless in the long run as they could track her all across the Sanctuary. She then remembers the reports she read earlier in the story, and especially that of the 2001 incident on Sorna, where Alan Grant and his companions walked out alive and unharmed from a close encounter with raptors.
In dire straits, she makes up a desperate plan and carefully, she pulls out the resonating chamber she stole from the Biosyn guards. She uses it and due to their bad experience in the sanctuary with the resonating chambers' usual users, the raptors get agitated but their pack leader tells them to calm down as Claire doesn't seem to be a Biosyn guard or a hunter. The pack leader walks alone towards Claire and sniffs the dried blood on her hands and clothes, realizing it belongs to other humans. Nothing happens for a moment and then the pack leader lets out a bark. Behind Claire, two raptors move aside. Slowly walking backwards, watching carefully the raptors' moves, Claire exits the circle made by the surrounding predators and continues doing so until she's at a respectable distance. At the beginning, the raptors just watch her but as she's heading towards the Hunting Lodge, she hears them following her. However, she is aware that they would have already pounced on her if they wanted to eat her and knows that they're more intrigued. Meanwhile, the rain intensifies (there could also be a storm).
Claire reaches the invisible fence, crosses it, and searches for its power source. But as she's sabotaging it, the Lodge caretaker (a gnarly-looking old local man) spots her and frightened by her look, runs away towards the building. She is forced to catch him and, after a short struggle, kill him with her knife before he can raise the alarm. After showing some trouble due to killing a probable innocent, she resumes her sabotage and the fence is deactivated. The raptors cross it and see Claire entering the lodge. Near its entrance, she finds a sword hanging on the wall as a decorative element and noticing it's still sharp, she takes it along with its sheath and heads for the rooms. Behind her, the raptors open the door and silently enter in the lodge. In the hallway which leads to the rooms, Claire stays still when the raptors walk past her as they head to the rooms and grin as her audacious plan is working. Claire enters one of the rooms, raises her sword blade over a sleeping hunter and when the time comes, thrust it into his body. Meanwhile, the raptors open other doors and entering the rooms, they rush on the sleepers. Slaughter ensues and only those who locked up their doors have the time to wake up, grab a weapon and fight for their very survival. Some of the lodge's occupants offer some resistance in the lounge but there, Claire activates the sonic weapon she stole and an ear-piercing sharp sound comes from it. While the raptors back off behind her, their common enemies kneel and scream in pain and Claire (who put on some earplug) slashes their throats, deactivate the weapon, and let the raptors tear the hunters alive while she raids some items (stuff like snacks, water, a first-aid kit, a map...) and leave, disappearing in the woods.
A bit later, she finds a small cave whose entrance is high from the ground and rest in it, sleeping until mid-morning.
The mountain's pass
At the end of their night-long ascent, the grey guards arrive in a pass/cave where they found human bones, which they presume to be those of the AISI's spy Viscontini told them about, and the remains of a Biosyn drone. Soon after, they are attacked by the guardian animal(s) the corporation left there to kill any trespasser coming from that direction. (I haven't chosen any species yet). They manage to defeat it (or them) and dawn break out as they arrive at a vista point which overlooks the valley. The grey guards observe it, the eyes of Cesare stop on the Citadel for a moment, and they retreat back inside the mountain to rest a few hours before descending into the valley. They send a message to Vuillier and Viscontini, telling them that they're inside the Sanctuary.
Traces of a slaughter
During their early morning patrol, a security team discovers that a massacre occurred during the night in the Hunting Lodge. They find clues indicating that someone helped the raptors and participated in the killings. The control room check the Lodge CCTV footage and fear spreads like wildfire among the staff when they discover the culprit is a sinister-looking black-clad hooded woman. Seeing that one of the figure's hand is a prosthesis and that the other wear a silver ring with a red gem, they realize it's Claire and Dodgson pretty much start to crap his pants (partly because one of the hunters was a very wealthy and powerful foreign client whose disappearance won't go unnoticed). Since she made it out alive from the plane's crash, Dodgson fears that the other WDMC agents might have too. When asked about the slaughter itself, Dodgson orders his staff to cover it up for the moment, as he don't want to worry the board of directors who are set to arrive later that day for a big event he planned in the evening.
Theo's return
Theo returns to Auronzo and Wu, who just learned about Claire's presence in the valley, tells him that they must get Maisie out of the facility as soon as possible since disaster tends to follow Claire like a shadow.
Taking the gloves off
However, Maisie has meanwhile discovered that the videos were another lie, by recognizing one of the scientists from the video, who also work at the Citadel (and who didn't aged, even though the adult Charlotte's video was supposed to be taken fourteen years ago). Aware that the gentle method is no longer considerable, Dodgson decides to use the hard one and Doctor Lesser locks Maisie in a cell within her lab, to which Wu can't access. Lesser reveal that it wasn't Wu who told Dodgson that she was a clone but the spy he has among Lockwood Manor's employees, and that the only true part in the video was the one about the genetic disease: Charlotte did had it, just like her mother Elizabeth before that (she died in 1993 and it was because of her Lockwood and Hammond fell out), and had the car accident which took her life didn't happened, the disease would have killed her a few years later. As he wanted Maisie to have a long life, Benjamin Lockwood asked the scientists he hired (there is a whole subplot about what they became in TRQ) to cure it and they did find a way. As the scientists' notes were accidently destroyed, the solution is now within Maisie's body, and Dodgson wants it so he can put new drugs on the market.
Before it's too late, Wu and Theo, with Ramsay's help, start organizing Maisie's evasion. The geneticist mentions a secret trail from WWI in the northeastern mountains: It's their escape route. He then heads for his lab, planning something else.
Tracking Claire
Curious about Biosyn's movements around the Hunting Lodge, Owen, Dougal and Kayla investigate it after the departure of the security troops. They discover evidence of Claire's passage and Owen tries to follow her fiancée's tracks. Kayla and/or Dougal make comments about the slaughter of the hunters.
Bigelow's last chance
Isaac Gibbon gives Jessica Bigelow a new mission: Go to Auronzo and ensure the evacuation of Lewis Dodgson and Biosyn's most important research. The agent ask her boss why and he said that he just received news that Biosyn is compromised. He also precise that it's her last chance after the Malta fiasco. Bigelow leave her safe house in central Italy and goes north.
Shady preparations
Continuing south, Owen, Dougal and Kayla see mercenaries positioning some sort of moveable antenna on a ridge which overlooks the road which connects the Citadel to the valley's northern continue, as finding Claire and entering the Citadel is more urgent.
The gathering of the clouds
One of the control room's employees ask Dodgson to come. He shows him footage from the Biosyn lands's southern gate, near the employee village.
Before the gate, a group of Carabinieri stand, showing to the guards and the security cameras a search warrant: The government finally decided to act against Biosyn. But Dodgson refuses to open the gates for the Carabinieri and orders the mercenaries who arrived during the night to intimidate them. The Carabinieri move away from the gate, with their leader warning against the consequences of such an action. At a respectable distance from the gate, Vuillier, Viscontini and Nyamu watched the scene. Soon, other groups of Carabinieri are deployed along the other entrances to Biosyn's lands. The siege of Auronzo has started.
Hearing about the siege's situation, some employees leave their post and head for the metro (which connects the Citadel to the village. Another loop also connects the Citadel to the various facilities across the Sanctuary, including the seven towers and the dam), in order to go to the village and then hoping to be able to leave Biosyn's lands before things starts to get too ugly but Dodgson's has the metro's station locked and commands them to go back to their posts. Seeing their CEO starting to act like Hitler in his bunker, they are afraid.

Anyone have any recommendations for awesome/decent primary care doctors in Royal Oak?
The doctor I visited for issues for many years turned into a concierge doctor (i.e. ~$2000 yearly fee just to get in the door; and doing a max of 1-2 visits per year, it just didn't make sense to pay the fee), and the medical group I'm going to since then (no names but they're located right by Kroger Marketplace) are absolutely not fun to deal with (overworked doctors who act dismissive or uninterested in the patient, and cranky front office people who either schedule a physicians assistant video-call or tell me to go to Urgent Care when I'm feeling really sick). So that's why I am hoping peeps here might have some recommendations I can investigate.

And in many cases, including mine - boredom is one of the main triggers for addiction, because you will tend to look for something that can excites you. And nothing can excites you more than something that gives you so much PLEASURE!
Bad Certainty Behavior: Overeating, control of others, binge watch TV/Netfilx/Anime, procrastination, etc..
Manage your certainty by - cleaning, developing empowering rituals(workout, exercise, meditation, reading, etc), focusing on the things you want in life, instead of listening or following others.

• UNCERTAINTY / VARIETY

You might be asking - ''but why the Heck I need Uncertainty?''
That's the FUN part. It will get you out of the BOREDOM of certainty.
Our human needs are built in a very strange way, that they actually are in conflict with each other. But if you look deep - you will understand that it is exactly what gives your life Drive and Excitement!
That's why you need Uncertainty, or in other words - Variety.
You need to have something unpredictable happening in your life, or else - it will be boring!
That's like - eating one and the same dish all the time. Very soon - you will get bored or even sick of it!
Bad Uncertainty Behavior: Overwhelm, drug, intoxication, change TV channels/Anime/Netfilx, Self sabotage, create drama and problems.
Manage your Uncertainty by: new challenges, changing the meaning of events, hobbies, be creative, learn and discover new things

Manage Love & Connection by: sharing, supporting others, connect through nature, faith, loving and respecting yourself, independent relationships
Tip: If you can't create relationships right now for one reason or another - Spirituality and connection with God also takes part of this Human Need!

This human need is all about being heard, noticed, recognized and simply - listened.
It is the feeling of being unique, special and being needed.

Bad Significance Behavior: People can often raise their sense of significance by using alcohol, engage into arguments, talk gossips, being victim, tell sad stories about self, rebellion or surround yourself with people who seems less skilled or attractive, so you can stand out.
This approach is neither good nor healthy.
Manage your Significance by: directing your competitive nature into healthy activities, like sports, mastering new skill, speaking up, mastering a craft or field, achieving goal or volunteering.

Giving back is the best way to fulfill this need. The closer the cause is to your heart, the more fulfilled you will feel.
Bad Contribution Behavior: Giving to get, being a martyr, not taking care of self
Manage your Contribution by: volunteering, donating, helping people (I believe animals can be included as well)
Tip: help people who are struggling to start quitting porn addiction. While you are still not done with this - you are way ahead of those who are only starting, right?
Go ahead and help others! Keep others accountable and you will feel better as well!

(21F) I have always had pain on and off in my right hip. (Mostly a dull ache or the occasional sharp stabbing pain) Usually after being very active - then for days afterwards sitting, laying down or even just standing without putting weight on it hurts. Ice helps, heat too. The muscles extending into my lower back, onto the top-ish part of my butt cheek and the side of my hip all feel tight. Massaging helps. Lately it’s been worse.. it’s all the time pain going on week 2. I have some weakness in my leg, some sex positions are definitely a no. When I pick up my special needs toddler (40 pounds) it feels like a pressure buildup on my tailbone - most of the time I push through it but I feel like my legs are going to give out. Today I had tingling in my foot, tingling that starts after being in 1 position for too long (no matter the position) I also noticed I walk with my foot pointed outward - walking with it pointed straight puts so much awkward tension on my knee/hip I’ve gone to doctors before about my hip pain, but never got farther than the doctor telling me to lose weight and fix my posture. At the most I was 80-90 pounds overweight - which I have since lost and I do notice a difference, I guess.. but I’ve always gotten comments about my good posture. Honestly, I haven’t seen a PCP since I was 17. I have extreme anxiety in doctors offices/hospitals. Urgent care is always quick and the only place I can tell myself to just breathe through it. I have bursitis in my right shoulder (diagnosed in 2017) I have good pain management for it including icing, a sling and pain killers.. I have no idea what I did but I haven’t been able to move my arm above my head for 3 days.. Ms. bursa is aggravated.. could my hip be the same thing? Bursitis hip? Does Bursitis spread? Im terrified.
