Beatrix Acardi was the wife of a well regarded hunter north of Florence, who hunted only the rarest and finest of pelts to sell to wealthy merchants. Due to his frequent and long expeditions, few in the city could be surprised that she started to spend inappropriate amounts of time with another man.
Donato Gildo was this other man. He claimed he was a fisherman from the coastline who had managed to work his way into a successful enterprise, trading the freshest morsels with the nobles of Florence. "The most important thing," he oft said to those who asked how he managed this rise, "is to build more." His wealth bought him influence despite his 'condition'.
He was blind.
Donato walked with the assistance of servants, his eyes ever covered by the finest silk cloths he could buy. Despite this, he was deemed extravagantly handsome; the envy of men and the desire of women throughout the city.
Donato and Beatrix sat together on a sunny veranda, an artist of great renown sketching their likeness as they embraced as 'friends', though all knew it to be more. Ser Botticelli was just finishing the lines of Beatrix's almond-shaped eyes, bringing them into focus as a sharp contrast to the covered ones of her lover.
"My husband would be cross if he found you here with me," Beatrix breathed into Donato's ear.
"Wed me and leave him," Donato spoke in a tone as wishful as it was wistful.
"Nay, that is not the nature of us."
"I need not my eyes to see through your accismus," Donato rested his lips perilously close to her neck before he stood up, offering a florin for the artist to depart early, citing the scent of rain in the air. Beatrix led him inside as the wind started to pick up and had her servants bring them a treat.
"Pity of the weather," Beatrix said with a sigh as she took a piece of cake, layered with cream, merengue, and sponge bread. Donato added a dollop of honey to sweeten it further for her, "Would that we could bask in the sun all day."
"There is no bad weather," Donato claimed, "Only bad clothing. Without it you could free yourself of the burden of ruined wool and enjoy the rain."
"I would also be free of the burden of decency," Beatrix jested, patting him on the leg.
"I could send your servants away, and none would know," he lifted his hand and gave a wave. The servants in the room bowed and left them alone. Beatrix merely giggled and rested her head on his shoulder, drifting off to sleep as the honey worked its magic.
Donato rose from the seat and removed his blindfold, glowing red eyes lightly illuminating the quickly darkening room as the sun itself seemed to hide. He traced a finger along the beautiful human's cheek before leaving to observe the sketch that had been interrupted. The unseelie fae grinned, his mouth stretching inhumanly wide, as he looked at how fine a visage she was providing him.
Her husband, a descendant of one who had made a deal generations earlier, was none the wiser to his wife's affair for the time being. Donato was owed a hundred hearts, and every generation he took one from the family line. Often it was literal, but there were many opportunities where the heart need not be beating in someone's chest for it to be stolen. Ser Acardi truly loved Beatrix, and Beatrix loved him just as much.
"Ah, my dear Beatrix," he whispered into the gloom, walking out onto the balcony now that the rain was starting to come down. It washed away the sins of humanity, and it also washed away the prying eyes that might glimpse him as he observed all that humans had built before him, "One day all of this will be gone, and you forgotten." The man glided back inside, dripping from the rain, and loomed over his prize.
"But rest assured, when I take you from your husband, you will be mine forever," as he whispered, a faint purple spoke flowed from his lips and snaked its way through the air, down into her ear, "Your love for me will endure eternity. You need only thank me for it. When next we meet, thank me for giving you what your husband could not."
The Archfae laughed softly as he began to fade. Tomorrow he would return to hear the words he planted in her dreams. When her husband returned, he would feel the pain of his heart being torn from his chest. Unlike his ancestors, he would live with that pain for years to come. That pain would empower the unseelie for decades.
"Little and lasting..." he chuckled, and vanished.

I would start from the very beginning. I can't say this in real life and no one I know is here so it seems like a safe space. I was put in boarding school at age 4. I don't blame my mum bcz she made a promise to God (we are religious) that if I pulled through a difficult complication during my birth, she would put me in a religious school. I had thyroid problems which caused me to be excessively weak and getting tired easily. So I could not play sports like the other boys but I had a sharp mind. The teachers at my school though always chose girls to participate in cultural events or someone who excelled in sports. I was never chosen for anything. I used to cry for days and I would get bullied and beaten up bcz I was different. I still always helped whenever I could but I never got the same support from others. I developed anger issues and I tell myself that this is why no one wanted to be friends with me. Before the age of 10, I had overheard girls of my batch multiple times that I was ugly and I was a sort of freak. I would get the looks of disgust from them. Although until my last 2 years at school, I got control of my anger issues and I got cured of my thyroid and made some friends. There was a voice deep inside me that says that I am not wanted by anyone and I do not deserve anyone.
Fast forward to now. I completed my bachelors in mechanical and about 6 months ago I completed my masters in automotive from Eindhoven university. I have yet to get a job and I am working at a restaurant where I did not even need to study to get in. All of my peers are working or have their thing sorted out. I have been trying for 8 months with different applications but I have never even made it to the interview stage just the CV and cover letter gets rejected. I have had it checked by multiple people but it is to no avail.
The transition from home to here was hard. I have been lonely since childhood but this was a different level. Sometimes I feel a burst of sadness and hurt and I have no idea why am I feeling like that. I could not fully commit myself to doing my thesis because of the voice that says I am not worthy and I do not deserve anything. I am tired of filling out applications and yesterday a friend accused me of not keeping up my promise to help him. I promised that I would help and he called me one day while I was about to go for my shift. He said that I should have come over on the day off myself but it slipped my mind. I tried calling but I am getting ghosted. I am so angry at myself right now that I have no idea what I will do. By the law if I do not get an engineering job by 5 months, I am required to leave. At the beginning I thought it was gut related since I have a bad diet Spicy/junk food, h pylori or something like that but the tightness on the left chest and underarm and swollen left side of the body is concerning. It’s a fact of life that when one team dominates in Formula 1, top drivers on the receiving end of seemingly endless defeats get restless. The 18 drivers not sitting in a Red Bull RB19 can’t resist looking on Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez with a touch of envy, which is only natural for the competitive beasts grand prix drivers must be to have any chance of thriving at the top level. Red Bull entering a second year of dominance, which followed a 2021 campaign during which it had equal-top billing with Mercedes, could have a profound impact on the driver market.
Lewis Hamilton is out of contract at the end of the season, leaving even Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff to admit he wouldn’t have any complaints if his star driver chose to leave in search of a better car – albeit with the caveat of “in a year or two”. He is expected to stick with Mercedes, although retirement or a shock move can’t be dismissed as a possibility until a deal is signed. There have also been question marks about Lando Norris, committed to McLaren until the end of 2025 but in a team that’s slipping back in the midfield. Both drivers would be of interest for any rival big squad with a potential vacancy. But there’s another established top driver who is in a difficult position when it comes to deciding the path for his future – Charles Leclerc.
Leclerc is now 25 and is arguably the fastest man in F1 over a single lap. Yet despite being a formidable performer ever since he moved to Ferrari in 2019 after a rookie campaign with Sauber, he’s won just five races. There are those who use the poor ratio of pole positions to wins (he’s topped qualifying 18 times) to criticize Leclerc, suggesting he’s simply a fast driver who can’t convert opportunity into victory. But while he has made mistakes, most infamously crashing out of the lead of the French Grand Prix last year, more often than not Ferrari has been the weak link that has given out at key moments either mechanically or strategically.
Leclerc is contracted to Ferrari until the end of next year. Usually, a top team would be determined to lock down its prize asset rather than running the risk of going into the final year with their future still up in the air. Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur has kicked this particular can way down the road whenever asked about it.
“It’s like for a wedding,” said Vasseur in January. “If both sides of the table are happy with the situation, we will continue. But it’s not the priority for today, we have a good relationship and we have time to discuss this. The only topic today that we have to focus on is pure performance and getting results.”
His point about performance referenced the team’s wider focus rather than what it needs to do to keep Leclerc, but it might equally be connected to his future. At that point, Vasseur will have hoped Ferrari would start the season strongly, provide Leclerc with a car that could win races and that a new deal would be straightforward. Nothing convinces a driver to stay where they are more persuasively than strong performance.
But given Leclerc’s 2023 results so far amount to a seventh place, a retirement and a 10-place grid penalty in a car that has a tire management problem, you wouldn’t blame him for starting to think about going elsewhere. The fact is, Vasseur isn’t trying to tie Leclerc down to a new deal because he knows Ferrari has to prove itself to Leclerc, who understands his own value well enough to ensure he keeps his options open just in case.
The Leclerc/Ferrari alliance has been a frustrating one. On his second outing for the team, he lost a sensational victory in the Bahrain Grand Prix to a dropped cylinder, then last year was robbed of at least one win by power unit problems. Engine reliability was the top priority for 2023, so it was no surprise that when Leclerc caught up with the media after retiring from third place in Bahrain, he couldn’t hide his disappointment. The optimism of the new season peeled away immediately and the Leclerc of the end of last year was back in front of us: downbeat, frustrated, disappointed – and with good reason.
Leclerc is a class act: stunningly fast, blessed with arguably the greatest sensitivity to grip in particular in traction zones and with a capacity to sit on that ragged edge. For him, lightning-fast corrections minimize mistakes and conserve momentum where for others they would cause a big moment or worse. Every now and again he falls off that tightrope, but it’s rare. That’s why he’s one of the most admired drivers in the paddock.
Mercedes is known to covet his services, and it’s a team that could potentially have a use for him in the not-too-distant future. It regards George Russell as a long-term driver, one capable of winning world championships, but isn’t afraid to put two topliners together. Should Hamilton walk away, Leclerc would be high on its list. Make no mistake, Leclerc knows there’s a potential Mercedes berth for him in the future.
The trouble is, Mercedes is no better off than Ferrari right now. What it does have is more recent success, a run of 15 titles out of 16 from 2014-2021 compared to a Ferrari team that last won a crown – the constructors’ championship – way back in 2008. But while Mercedes holds a certain appeal, it’s a sideways move on current form.
The move that everyone simultaneously wants and doesn’t want is Red Bull. It has the car, but it is a Max Verstappen stronghold. He’s earned supremacy at that team through relentless high performance and is reaping the reward of the years spent toiling in a car that could only occasionally grab victories. That in itself is a lesson for Leclerc and any other driver looking to jump ship.
The trouble for any driver eyeing a Red Bull seat is that Verstappen is under contract until the end of 2028, which is forever in F1 terms. The team is set up around him, optimized to make the most of his talents and that generally subscribes to the number one/number two model. Even if Red Bull did want to replace Sergio Perez, it’s questionable whether it would really want a driver of Leclerc’s class. As for Leclerc, while he would back himself to beat Verstappen (any driver on the grid would, many through delusional optimism, but at least in Leclerc’s case he is one of the few with the ability to give Verstappen something to think about) the circumstances wouldn’t appeal.
For Leclerc, Ferrari is the best option. The question is whether the revamped team can convince him it is capable of taking the step from occasional winner to champion. Leclerc had reservations about the old Mattia Binotto regime and is positive about Fred Vasseur’s leadership, but with rumors about top-level management intervention and the thorny issue of politics possibly undercutting the team’s potential never far from anyone’s thoughts, he likely still needs to be convinced.
As has been the case for much of F1 history, certainly since the long-distant days when sportscar programs were prioritized at times, Ferrari has everything it needs to succeed. It has the cash, it has the resources and the facilities to be at the top in F1. Recent investment has consolidated that position, with measures such as the new state-of-the-art driver-in-loop simulator that came online in late 2021 ensuring it’s still at the cutting edge. But the question with Ferrari is always whether it can make the most of it.
In that regard, Leclerc is at the heart of one of the few teams with the potential to dominate. In current conditions, it’s one of only three alongside Mercedes and Red Bull that can do so, and he’s the focal point of the team. While Carlos Sainz is not far off, ultimately Ferrari still regards him as the support act to Leclerc’s spearhead. That’s not a bad place to be.
Should Leclerc lose faith in Ferrari, there will be no lack of rivals interested in his services. And with teams like Aston Martin well on their way to establishing themselves as ready to fight for a championship, there will be even more realistic options presenting themselves in the near future. That’s why Leclerc will likely hang on until at least early next year before recommitting himself to Ferrari.
In the meantime, he must work on developing himself. He’s clearly less comfortable, or capable, with seeing the big picture in races and calling the strategic shots as Sainz is. And given the Spaniard is an intelligent and industrious character, there will also be less obvious shortfalls for Leclerc to work on off-track. A driver can’t single-handedly turn a team into a title winner, but he can be part of the process and should at least be able to ensure he’s ready to deliver relentless performance when the machinery to win consistently is under him. He does still have a mistake in him, two major in-race errors last year at Paul Ricard and when he went off chasing Perez at Imola, so ensuring he’s rock solid and ready to thrive when he does have a title-winning car under him is essential.
And looking back to the example of Verstappen, he spent five seasons with Red Bull staring at the back of all-conquering Mercedes cars. Leclerc is now in his fifth season with Ferrari, so the hope will be that the breakthrough is close. It won’t be this year, but it could be in 2024. Patience can be a virtue, particularly in contemporary F1 where lengthy phases of domination are a fact of life.
But 2024 needs to be strong both for Leclerc and Ferrari. If next year starts like this year then Leclerc will have to seriously consider hitching his career wagon to a non-prancing horse. But that move could be as risky, if not more so, than staying where he is.
The easy solution, for both sides, is for Ferrari to fulfill its potential. It’s only if that doesn’t happen that Leclerc could throw a spanner in the works of the driver market and face a career make-or-break decision of ‘should I stay or should I go’.

Hello guys. Did you notice that when we died that nearly close to kill a boss they changed patterns. Is there any mechanic like that in game.
For example i make a combo like attach attach defense while fighting with lady butterfly. I died when i was so close to kill her. in the second war she changed her pattern and killed me easily. After that i fight for so many time and she used her first pattern. Again I died when i was so close to kill her she changed her patter again for once fight.

Existing condition: I have a Lipoma the size of a tennis ball on my upper neck. Left side starting just below the jawline, and extending to the collar bone. Waiting on referral for surgery.
So, this started a few days ago. Light changes indoors don't do anything at all, but when I go outside on breaks or to smoke, upon going back indoors, my right eye its just slightly dimmer almost. Its a VERY slight difference between the two, and by best explanation is that one eye is at 100% backlight, and the other is at 98%. Its almost as if the right eye is seeing less blue maybe? It only persists for about 5 minutes and then goes back to normal. I work in a kitchen with bright LED lights and going from there into the warehouse makes no change. It seems to only be triggered by natural UV light, and only of certain levels. For instance, the office has big windows and natural light during the midday, and after having a 20 minute meeting in that room, there was no change. Its only when I go from outdoors to indoors. Any clue what's going on?

I wonder how Basic is going to be. I ship Wednesday at Fort Jackson, and I'm worried that I won't get used to the intensity at all. Or if I'll have a hard time keeping up at PT.

I want to join the USAR but I am having trouble deciding on how to join. I have my masters degree and it has been mentioned that I can become an officer with that in my pocket. The problem is time frame. I know that there are multiple steps on becoming an officer from the beginning and the application process is long. However, I would like to get as many benefits as I can from joining. I have had multiple discussions and can either:

1. Enlist as a solider and try to go “green to gold”. That way I can have some USAR experience and that can be looked at during the application process.
   
2. Go straight in with the Officer application and await the process that way.
   

I am having a difficult time deciding and just need more information on both sides and what way will benefit me more. At the end of it all, I will join one way or another, just do not know what the process of that will look like. Any tips or input is welcomed and appreciated.

S-1 said IPPS-A just skipped me and they would submit a promotion backdate to HRC. If it gets accepted do I still pin on the first or do I have to make points again before I can pin?

Is there anything kind of high speed that isn’t infrantry? I want to use more of my brain but also have a chance to be out in the field I’ve looked at 68w and 19d and also intel like 35m but I’m not sure if they get attached to units that go in the field or anything like that

For army rangers I know that they have shorter deployments because their optempo is much higher than normal. But how much time do they get between deployments? What are their deployment cycles like?

I'm considering enlisting as an active-duty 88L watercraft engineer. I read many threads, but I am specifically wondering how well this MOS translates to the civilian side and what certifications I would get while I'm in that translates on the outside. Does having a family member affected mine military service?
I’m from Vietnam and I’ve lived in the U.S. for 7 years (yes, I’m a U.S. citizen.) I wanted to be a part of the U.S. military since I first came. Currently I’m looking at the Army and I wanted to go to the officers route. However, I might have a red flag is that I have a family member who’s a part of the Communist party in Vietnam. I wouldn’t say he a top dog, but he does have some important positions. Additionally, my dad was an ex-communist, in Vietnam my dad was a professor at a public university. So the fact that he have to be a part of the Communist is necessary due to their policy. Finally, I just want to do if have a family member in the communist is a red flag for the military. Thank you!!!

Should I join the army?
25 year old male, married, father of two. Currently working for ups making $21.60 per hour, OT after 5 hrs everyday, college 100% paid for, pension after 25 years, 100% medical/dental/vision - unlimited coverage. Only issue, we’re guaranteed 4 hours. Some days we get 4, some 8-9. Am I crazy to try & join considering my job offers great benefits despite the hours? I made around 32k last year. Surely with enlistment bonus, QS bonus & base pay, I’d clear that every year atleast over a contract? Studying so I can take the asvab in the fall. Hoping* I can qualify for 17c, 35t, 25b. Out of these, which translates best to civilian life & why? Do I need a degree or will the certs be enough for a great paying job after the service? Sorry this is all over the place. 19 Y/O Soph. in Army ROTC right now thinking of going Reserves and branching Aviation. I'm a reservist and one of my soldiers is 8+ months pregnant. In our state, expectant mothers can begin to take disability before birth, so she is going to start taking disability and stop going to her civilian job this week. We have BA in 2 weeks and she wants to know if she can be excused.
Obviously this is reasonable and I am going to support her in this. But I've been reviewing the parental leave policy and have some questions:
1) All the language I can see about parental leave says it only starts after childbirth. Is this correct? If so
2) Does the Army really expect people to go to work right up until the day they give birth? Or do people just usually take regular leave days/excused absences for time they miss prior to birth?
If nothing else I will have her forward over the disability certificate her doctor had to sign for the state which should be enough to get her excused, but I'm curious how this process usually works.

Hey, I’m on a throwaway since I have family members that follow my account and look on this sub. Currently I am 18 and finishing up my senior year of high school. I’ve enlisted currently as a 15U leaving July 11th for boot. For the past couple months I’ve been having really bad second thoughts about this and I feel like it’s been destroying my mental health. The thing is asking is what do y’all think I should do? I’ve only really talked with my mother and girlfriend and my mother told me that I would be a disappointment and such due to my whole family being military. My girlfriend said I should either talk to my recruiter and see what he can offer me or try and take a year off and see how it goes. The main reason why I think I am having second thoughts is because I feel like my mental health is declining more and more towards my bay day. Seeing on Reddit I’ve heard that the mental health part of the military is shunned upon and frown on and I don’t know what I would do to myself if I ever got to a low where I can’t even get help. I’ve looked at law enforcement or something along those lines but I’m not sure what I should do. I’m just wondering what y’all think I should do or any ideas I guess. Thanks guys.

Trying to put in a packet for officer, as a 65A, pretty much everything is done, ready to submit, but now my recruiter is saying, I’ll go to DCC in October, preciously July, and then BOLC and will only have a few days to move my family from our current residence to whatever duty station I get.
How much time do you typically get from completion of BOLC to report to your duty station? They don’t give you more time? My recruiter originally told me I’d have 2 months after completing BOLC. He said I won’t know where I’m going until I get to DCC, which gives me no time to plan with my wife at all

I’m interested in getting the process started for submitting a packet for OCS and I wanted to know how much of an issue this would likely be: In 2020 I was briefly (~1 month) in an outpatient rehab program for alcohol. I’ll admit that at the time I was drinking more than I should have been, however the real impetus for me enrolling in this program was because I was living at my moms house and she’s rather sensitive to substance abuse problems due to childhood circumstances. Essentially my enrolling in the program was a condition of me living there and I was not in a position to say no. Hey I’m going to University this fall but might be interested in joining four years out. Big emphasis on four years out because I’ve recently had a pretty bad mental health scare, I had a psychotic episode after extensive cannabis use. I’ve since been on medication and taken off the medication and am doing well. I no longer smoke cannabis (or drink for that matter). Will this get in the way of joining? Will I be a write off no matter what?

Is it true that you can be disqualified for having an overbite/ and crooked teeth? Couldn’t really find a solid answer online. I have a slight overbite, while also having two crooked front teeth. I also have at least 2 or more cavities that haven’t been filled. Is it true they can fill your cavities at basic training?
I don’t have any difficulty eating, talking, and my cavities never cause any pain or discomfort.
Really has me anxious because I want to join as fast as possible, and the thought of MEPS being all pissy about things (although somewhat understandable) makes me feel like I don’t have a chance at joining.
I want to contact a recruiter this coming week. Should I even do this or delay my enlistment?

I am going to finish Revotion and head off to my platoon tomorrow. Any advice? I’ve been working out in the barracks and memorizing the Soldiers Creed and all that. I hear it gets easy after the first few days and I want to try to pass my ACFT before going on to AIT.

My good friend/roommate is ready to bitch slap my other good friend for not telling her sooner about the fact that she saw her situationship man on tinder. (We’re all 24F)
A friend of mine (A) has been in a situationship with this guy for months — she doesn’t talk about it much because she’s pretty private about stuff like that, but our other friends know and A even brought him to a school function a few months ago where he briefly met some people.
The guy A’s been seeing has been kind of an asshole lately and I’ve been getting the feeling it’s over. A couple days ago another friend of ours (G), who’s friends with both of us but much closer with me, asked me if A and her guy were exclusive (they were). I asked why and G said she saw him on tinder and she matched with him because she’d had friends before who’s dudes were on tinder but who said they just “hadn’t deleted the app,” so she said she wanted proof. They matched and the guy sent her a flirty message. G didn’t respond.
G told me this and asked if she should tell A, I told her I would tell A — A’s pretty sensitive about this kind of thing and though A and G are friends I figured it would be much better coming from me. I told A and she was pretty upset and somewhat suspicious of G. I told her what G told me and that G never responded. The problem is that He messaged G two weeks before she told me about this the other night.
A’s been sad for a couple days but today went into anger. She’s pissed that G waited two weeks to say anything. she told me G was lying to her by not telling her, that G was basically laughing in her face by not telling her, that G probably wanted to fuck him, that she would probably spit in G’s face if she tried to talk to her right now, all that stuff. I know A’s really hurt by this, and she’s very sensitive to feeling betrayed (both in terms of being cheated on and feeling betrayed by friends).
I get where A’s coming from, it’s weird that G didn’t say anything until two weeks later. A and G aren’t exactly best friends, but they see each other and talk at least a few times a week. I don’t know if maybe I’m going too easy on G, but I really don’t think it matters all that much — G told me so that A would know. Sure, it took her a while, but, why does it matter so much that A is ready to kill her? Why are you directing your anger about this shifty man toward your friend?
A told me she doesn’t want to keep me from my friend and of course I’m free to hang out with her and have her come to the house, but that for the foreseeable future to not invite A to anything G will be at and to not invite G to our house without telling A so she can leave beforehand. I really don’t know what to do. I think it’s reasonable to be upset, but I don’t understand being so intensely angry at G when she did the right thing, just a little later than ideal. And I also don’t want to have to juggle all of this emotional shit between both of them, and in top of it all it just really hurts when my friends are upset at one another and it hurts me to hear A say such horrible things about G.
What do I do? I hate this and I just wish everyone could get over it, but I know that’s not reasonable.

I've picked up 3D recently about a year and half ago and I even went to school for it and landed myself a job as a 3D junior designer in a creative studio eventually. However, recently it feels like I've been facing some identity crisis(?). I feel like I am under performing at work, even though my friends and colleagues says that I am doing fine/well. This could be what you could call self-impostor syndrome? But recently I do find myself struggling with even just basic techniques such as lighting and design or maybe it’s just me not studying the reference enough. I look at my friends they're super talented, great with colors super good, great at drawing and have an eye for design. I really do want to improve myself to be better such as to start creating more personal artwork during free time to improve my design sense and technical skills better to be future proof. I saved and bookmarked alot of references and styles that I wanted to try during my free time. I have always been struggling to find my art style since forever. In fact I don’t even own one I think. However whenever I start up my software, my mind just went blank and goes like "oh, what should I do again? I don't know where to start." I feel lost every single time. During my school days we were taught on the procedure to look up for references to create based on the assignment/topic given etc. But whenever I want to do it for myself or coming up with a topic of my own, I just get lost and don't know where and how to start.
It's kinda hard for me to do it on weekdays as most of the days as I have a 10-7pm job and during crunch times had to OT till quite late and by the time I reach home, I'm left with just about an hour or so before my sleep time (sadly I do need at least 6 hours of sleep to function properly the next day :'D )
However, whenever I do actually have my free time, I would spend the time at the gym working out or playing games, watching videos that I like to keep myself motivated instead, just to keep my mind and brain away from work and to prepare and keep myself motivated again for another wave of work for the upcoming week as I'm really tired from my weekdays job...
I am starting to wondering if i'm just being lazy to create or I'm just not motivated as I thought I am. Don't think i am actually burnt out or anything but I really do want to take the next step to make myself a better designer. Any advices starting on what and how to create would definitely help :') thank you!!

It honestly surprises me that none of the majins ever try to just leave. (Aside from Hanoka going with Kokuto, but that was under threat). Like, after Hanoka’s powers awakened, what would the military even realistically be able to do if she decided she didn’t want to cooperate? She’s pretty much a human nuke! Good luck locking her in the basement again, she could just blast a hole through the ceiling. Even if the other majins aren’t AS powerful, I feel like it would still be relatively easy for them to run away if they wanted to. (Obviously getting out of a bad situation IRL isn’t as easy as “lol just leave”, but let’s be honest, we’re not dealing with super nuanced characters here)
You think that might be part of the reason why majins are partnered with a fellow soldier? Part of it is definitely because their partners are actual trained soldiers who know what they’re doing, but I can imagine it also acts as leverage. If the majins have a strong bond with their partner, they can’t desert the military as easily without betraying that partner
(To be fair, food and shelter would also be an issue if they decided to run away from the base. But it’s either that or being under constant threat of being either locked away or killed if they get too injured)

Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is an elusive beast that has eluded [official] detection for years. The current “big dog” Grand Theft Auto V was first released way back in September 2013, and has been available across two console generations (Xbox 360/PS3 and Xbox One/PS4). It will even be available natively on next-generation Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles, which is quite unprecedented in the gaming realm. So, while Rockstar seems reticent to just letting us wait in agony for any news on GTA 6, it is at least giving us some new updates on its two current hot properties: GTA Online and Red Dead Online.
In the case of the incredibly popular (and highly lucrative) GTA Online, Rockstar says that a big “summer update” is coming for gamers with a “fun mix of diverse” content to partake in. Even more interesting is the fact that the developers indicate that its “biggest update ever” is coming before the end of 2020. That update will include new Heists that will take place in a completely new location, which has definitely piqued our interests.
red dead online As for Red Dead Online, its next big update is actually arriving next week; on July 28th to be exact. Red Dead Online hasn’t exactly been teaming with new content, as the last big update for the online component of Red Dead Redemption 2 dropped way back in December 2019. However, Rockstar is promising a new Frontier Pursuit mode with a focus on “naturalism” and a new battle pass-type component, which is conveniently named Outlaw Pass. Finally, Rockstar says that it has addressed tons of bugs with the game and has taken community feedback to heart with this release, which is definitely appreciated.
In addition to the game updates on the way, Rockstar also took the time to address the well-being of its online communities. “We are also committed to ensuring that our games are fun for everyone and as safe as possible from modders, cheaters, hackers, and those who seek to harass other players,” said the company in its blog post.
“So far this year, we have taken action on hundreds of thousands of players caught violating community rules across both games. Please help us keep our communities safe and fun by reporting any sort of cheating either directly in-game or via our dedicated web reporting tools for both Red Dead Online and GTA Online.”
It's good to see that Rockstar is cracking down on those looking to spoil the fun for everyone, and its methods for “taking out” such offenders is among the best in the industry.

I’m (40m) and I can’t stand interacting with my parents. They were good to me. I was a single child, I never was left wanting for anything. Dad had a good job, mom was attentive, we always went on vacations, I had toys, videogames, I was good in school, never got into trouble… like a model kid. I make 6 figures and am happily married today. Sounds great. But I have almost no emotional attachment to my parents.
To elaborate, I do love them. I will be sad when they pass but even thinking about it now I’m indifferent. I’m not alexithymic or anything. My dog recently died and I’m still crying when I think about him.
My dad is awesome, big heart, typical dad humor, a little dorky, and always thankful for any gift come the holidays. Super happy to see me and my wife – wife loves him. But he enables my mother.
My mom…my mom is a child. She loves me, but was raised by alcoholics (she rarely drinks herself). She’s very self-centered, materialistic, and dependent on my father. My mom won’t drive outside of town, and anytime my dad does anything he likes, she complains about it. He loves to garden – she makes fun of him. He goes with me to see family in another state? She calls every hour to find out when he’s coming home. He has no friends, no hobbies, nothing but my mom.
I was a mamma’s boy up to around 13ish years old and like all teens, tried exploring my independence. She hated it. We fought all the time, and I was told all the time what an ungrateful brat I was. I mean, I was a straight B-ish to low A student, didn’t do drugs and didn’t drink til college. Never got in trouble at school, no fights, no police, had a job, played a sport, was mildly popular, had a GF… Not sure what I did outside of normal teenage crap but whatever. She still brings up stuff from 25 years ago like it just happened to make me feel bad, then questions why I don’t remember a random day when I was 9 at Disney World. She once said they never should have taken me to Disney because I never remember anything. Like… sorry? I was 9.
Anyway, mom and I mended when I was 20 or 21 but still fought from time to time. She broke down in tears when I bought her flowers for mother’s day. Because flowers die. She said this while I was looking at the flowers my dad bought her. She always compares what I buy her for xmas or birthdays to what I buy my dad. My wife – who is a saint – does not like being around her and frankly I don’t either.
So there’s where I answer my own question with my parents, but I don’t like nearly any family activity. I have no family on my mom’s side, on my dad’s side they are all a state away and do things together all the time, but I can’t be bothered. MY dad and uncle have had an on and off relationship for as long as I’ve been alive – my parents never did anything family related as I was growing up. I don’t think I learned how to enjoy family. My wife loves hers, but I always dread events (I NEVER tell her this).
To top it all off, they refuse to call or text me. They only communicate through email (which I don’t check regularly) or Facebook Messenger (which I don’t use). I tell them to call me or text me, but they refuse. I text them and they respond. I ask them to text and they act like they’re never on their phone. Which is bull. Why? Well…
They complain I never visit (I’m 40mins away). But when I do, they sit on the couch and watch TV or play on their phones. Then we eat, then back to the TV. They only talk about their own medical conditions. When my dog died they changed the subject to my mom’s monogram. My mom has never had an issue before, not sure why we need to talk for 20 mins about another non-issue. Look, I get it, they suck ladies and I’m sorry. But I don’t care about my mom’s unless they find something, also, my fucking dog died.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the third movie in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, which follows the adventures of a group of misfit heroes who travel the galaxy and fight against evil forces. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was originally slated for release in May 2020, but it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and James Gunn's temporary firing from Disney over controversial tweets. However, in March 2021, it was officially announced that the movie will be released on May 5, 2023.
The cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will include many familiar faces from the first two movies, including Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, and Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket. However, there have been some changes to the cast, particularly with the character of Gamora. In Avengers: Endgame, Gamora was killed, but a past version of her was brought to the present day. It is not yet clear which version of Gamora will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Details about the plot of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 have been kept under wraps, but we do know that the movie will explore the aftermath of the events of Avengers: Endgame. In that movie, the Guardians teamed up with other Marvel superheroes to defeat Thanos, the powerful villain who had been threatening the universe.
