2023.05.25 12:01 SeriousPuppet Whoa, Cleveland is cheap

I knew it was cheap before. It went through a downturn, kinda like Detroit but less so.
But I thought it had recovered a lot.
But out of curiosity I checked, and wow. If you are looking for a cheap house... it looks like the best deal in the US, that is if you want to live in a major city.
(no I don't live in Cleveland, and never have. I just like browsing)
Eg, $110k for this. Not great per se, but not horrible. The neighborhood looks ok.
I mean, I didn't even think you could get prices this low still without it being a complete gut job.
Look at this cutie, $125k
This needs work, but $79k???

2023.05.17 18:45 mtlebanonriseup Yesterday, Republicans lost the Jacksonville, FL, and Colorado Springs, CO, mayorships, while Democrats kept the majority in the PA House and won countless other downballot elections! This week, we volunteer in Ohio to keep abortion legal! Updated 5-17-23

Yesterday, Democrats cleaned up in elections across the country! First, Donna Deegan became mayor-elect of Jacksonville, flipping the largest Republican mayor’s office in the country. Meanwhile, Joyce Morgan also flipped the Property Appraiser race and Democrats won a new city council seat. Additionally, Democrat Marc Plamondon won a New Hampshire state representative special election, and Heather Boyd won PA HD-163 to protect Pennsylvania’s state house majority. The republican candidate also lost the Colorado Springs, Colorado mayorship to Yemo Mobolade, an Independent endorsed by Democrats! We also flipped several school boards in Oregon and South Dakota, defeating those who want to ban books or enforce local “Don’t say gay” policies!
This week, we turn our attentions to Ohio, where Republicans have passed a joint resolution that would make it harder to amend the Ohio Constitution. This will be voted on during a special election on August 8. It is imperative we get out the vote so this 60% threshold never becomes law. Republicans are only doing this in an attempt to make the Reproductive Rights amendment fail at the ballot box in November.

Make it make sense!
Ignore the surge and I'm still making way less than I should. Checked the same ride in reverse this morning, it would cost them 33 bucks. Uber did a fare review and told me they charged the rider 27. Both rides had an extra stop. I fucking hate it here man.

2023.04.30 17:42 Superb_Divide_1877 For those out of towners, Euclid is not Richmond Heights😭

When I said Euclid I'm referring to the Euclid Ave & E 260th Intersection area.
A couple of out of towners be calling this Area Richmond Heights. That area is all Euclid. For those that want an image of what area I'm talking about, I'm referring to the Willo Apartments/Dirty Low area. That area is not and will never be considered Richmond heights.
One for its city reasons. That area is just Euclid. I can say it's more of the ghetto parts of Euclid due to the Parkside and Dirty Low Apartments being the way they area.
That area down there is called "Down The Hill" due to the area literally being down a hill.
Richmond Heights will always be considered "Up The Hill" due to the area literally being up a hill.
Also the cities themselves have different services. RHPD have gray police cars that almost look like Civilian Cadillac escalates while Euclid Police Department have black squad cars that look exactly like Cleveland Police Department cars except with Euclid branding.
I'm just speaking on this because people mistake that part of Euclid as RH. I appreciate it but at the same time none of the apartments in RH look like some Louisiana housing project💀

Fuck me, right?
Customer put in wrong address (she was at work, delivery to home), called me about it. Called Uber twice and let them know what was going on, then see this this afternoon.

Dr lying about results?
I’m so confused/frustrated/anxious. I got a cone biopsy done two weeks ago and last week my doctor called and said he “got it all” and we’d just do a pap in 4 months. The results just got released today (kind of strange?) and if I’m reading it correctly, it says the margins are positive. Can anyone understand these results and share opinions?
