2023.06.06 02:15 _Greta_Van_Yeet_ Would it be stupid to add a mudbucker to my jazz bass?
Hi all. I have a 2011 American Fender Jazz Bass that I absolutely love. It sounds and plays great. I've been kicking around the idea of adding a Gibson EB0 pickup in addition to the Jazz pickups. I love the sound of the Gibson EBO pickups and think it would be cool to have that tonal option on my jazz bass. It would essentially fit in the gap between the jazz neck pickup and the neck.
Some potential issues:
-Spacing between the Jazz neck pickup and the EB0 pickup. From what I can tell, the EB0 pickup will physically fit in that space, but would have to leave enough room to adjust the truss rod, which would make the mudbucker fairly close to the Jazz neck pickup. Would it be too close to the Jazz neck pickup? Are there any other issues with having those pickups so close? Also, could there be impedance issues when using both the EB0 and jazz neck pickup at the same time?
-Output level. I'm having some issues finding information on the output level of an EB-0 Pickup VS American Jazz bass pickups. Any insight would be appreciated. I'm not sure if the output level difference would be enough to be an annoyance.
-Hesitation on modding my jazz bass. I guess this is more of a personal dilemma, but part of me is hesitant to mod my jazz bass. It's the nicest instrument I own. It's not like its a vintage bass worth tens of thousands, but would it be better to get a cheaper bass to mess with this type of mod? Just looking for opinions on this. I'll probably never get rid of this bass, and its already pretty battle scarred from years of use/gigging, so I'm probably overthinking it lol (I just don't want to mess up my favorite instrument). I've modded cheap guitars before, but I would definitely find a professional luthier to do this mod since I don't possess the proper tools or skills to do the routing/woodwork.
Any specific mudbuckeEB0 style pickup suggestions would also be greatly appreciated!
Anyways, sorry for the ranting.

Both the Warriors and Heat have been the most dominant teams for their respective conferences since 2011, and yet neither have faced each other in the finals. I hope we get a Heat vs Warriors matchup before the dominance of both recedes.

2023.06.06 00:43 collivanderr Breed Recommendations: looking for a starting point
Hi everyone! We are a adult couple, no kids, 1 cat, who are hoping to add a pup to our family in the next year or so. We have spent the last.. 2 year? Discussing getting a dog and go round and round mentioning all the breeds, admiring various dogs as they walk by. We have family with large, dominant, aggressive personality dogs which is making us very cautious about our choices. We need some of your advice for a starting point to really begin researching the right dog for us. Without further ado, here's our questionnaire. Sorry about the format? I copied from the stickier post but.. it didn't work. I tried to fix it.
**Introduction**
- Will this be your first dog? If not, what experience do you have owning/training dogs? * It will be our first dog as adults. His family has had dogs (shitzus, shepherd husky, cane corso) and we have watched and listen to them ad they've trained and managed dominant behaviours.
- Do you have a preference for rescuing a dog vs. going through a [reputable breeder]( http://ownresponsibly.blogspot.com/2011/07/identifying-reputable-breeder.html)? * Either. We've discussed the possibility of rescuing a mutt, but would probably go for a breeder if we settle of a specific breed.
- Describe your ideal dog. *Loyal, smart. Likes to go on walks or even alongside a bike in the neighbourhood or ravine, play ball chucker at the park, is friendly enough to take to the dog park or camping. Protective of it's humans enough that adult woman can feel safe going for a walk alone with just the dog. Doesn't mind a snuggle or good rubbing. Is intelligent and can be trained to do various commands. Doesn't mind cold snowy winters, hot humid summers. Is kind to a cat.
- What breeds or types of dogs are you interested in and why? * We've talked a lot about collies, heelers, aussies because they are intelligent and loyal but know they are high energy, high stimulation dogs. I love a Bernese because they are gentle giants from what I hear. We do not like beagles, jack russels, Chihuahuas, poms, bulldogs.
- What sorts of things would you like to train your dog to do? * basic commands
- Do you want to compete with your dog in a sport (e.g. agility, obedience, rally) or use your dog for a form of work (e.g. hunting, herding, livestock guarding)? If so, how much experience do you have with this work/sport? * I can see myself taking up agility as a sport with the pup. I did it for a few months as a helper alongside an elderly friend. Other than that, no.
**Care Commitments**
- How long do you want to devote to training, playing with, or otherwise interacting with your dog each day? * 2 hours of walking (1 AM, 1 PM or a long PM), evening play, agility and and obedience sessions a few times a week. Outside of exercise this dog will be talked to like it's a human, we already talk to our cat this way.
- How long can you exercise your dog each day, on average? What sorts of exercise are you planning to give your dog regularly and does that include using a dog park? * 2-3 hours. The most regular exercise would be recreational walks or training walks (ie walking while practicing skill) and ball chucker in a nearby field. We would love to have a friendly enough dog to take to dog parks regularly.
- How much regular brushing are you willing to do? Are you open to trimming hair, cleaning ears, or doing other grooming at home? If not, would you be willing to pay a professional to do it regularly? * We would brush regularly. I already clean my cats ears and eyes of goop. I could also see myself giving the simple around the face hair trims. Otherwise dog will be groomed by a professional as suggested for the breed.
**Personal Preferences**
- What size dog are you looking for? * Medium. We do not like small dogs and our space is probably too small for a big one, as much as I personally love big dogs.
- How much shedding, barking, and slobber can you handle? * the barking is killer. The shedding and slobber is part of life and cleanable. If we had to rank it it'd be Shedding as most tolerable, slobber in the middle, barking as least tolerable.
- How important is being able to let your dog off-leash in an unfenced area? * Somewhat. We are believers in dog always on leash, since we know so many aggressive/dominant types. The nearest park though is a not fenced field and so we'd love to be able to go off leash there
**Dog Personality and Behavior**
- Do you want a snuggly dog or one that prefers some personal space? * mix if possible. Err to snuggly as I am a snuggler.
- Would you prefer a dog that wants to do its own thing or one that’s more eager-to-please? * err to eager-to-please, though of course we all want a bit of both don't we.
- How would you prefer your dog to respond to someone knocking on the door or entering your yard? How would you prefer your dog to greet strangers or visitors? * We'd like the dog to bark at door and yard folks. We do live on a busy road so ideally not barking as every car that goes by. We'd like them to listen to my command to wait and then greet visitors with a sniff.
- Are you willing to manage a dog that is aggressive to other dogs? * We do not want to end up with an aggressive dog if we can avoid it. We'd prefer to pick a breed that is less likely to be aggressive. Sometimes you don't have a choice, as happened to family members and so they manage.
- Are there any other behaviors you can’t deal with or want to avoid? * Unnecessary barking, aggressive to other dogs or people (lunging during walks, barking), taking food off tables or counters.
**Lifestyle**
- How often and how long will the dog be left alone? * This is the biggest challenge. We are both out of the house 3 days a week for 8 hours. We have the means to get a dog walker in mid day.
- What are the dog-related preferences of other people in the house and what will be their involvement in caring for the dog? * We both want a dog and are equal partners in the care. We share our cat care for example, one feeds, one does the litter, one brushes today the other tomorrow. We would do the same with the pup.
- Do you have other pets or are you planning on having other pets? What breed or type of animal are they? * 1 cat
- Will the dog be interacting with children regularly? * no
- Do you rent or plan to rent in the future? If applicable, what breed or weight restrictions are on your current lease? * no
- What city or country do you live in and are you aware of any laws banning certain breeds? * We live in Ontario, Canada and when I google this question I get "Pit Bull Terrier. American Pit Bull Terrier. American Staffordshire Terrier. Staffordshire Bull Terrier."
- What is the average temperature of a typical summer and winter day where you live? * Summer 30 Celsius with humidity outdoors kept 25-26 indoors, Winter -5 Celsius outdoors with some much colder and wind chill, kept 17-21 indoors.
**Additional Information and Questions**
- Please provide any additional information you feel may be relevant. * We're open to your suggestions. I'm positing this specifically just to give our discussions more direction as we think about getting our pup.
- Feel free to ask any questions below. *What do working folk do with their dog all day? This is the biggest unknown for me. *How do you go about introducing a dog and a cat? Any best practices?

In the anime killua draws a line between them sayin that it represents the difference in their fight ability . So is he saying that Hanzo is stronger or hisoka is stronger hisoka is on the left side and Hanzo is on the right side . He then continues to draw gon’s position in ability behind one of them . So which one has killua estimated to be stronger ? And who do you think would win in actuality , becuase we then learn later that killua’s analysis of fighting power isn’t that accurate .

2023.06.05 21:07 Main_Star3808 Why Congress is Anti-Hindu and Why I became a supporter of Hindutva politics in India until India is completely ruled by Pro-Hindu politicians with Pro-Hindu Ideology.
Why Congress is Anti-Hindu and Why I became a supporter of Hindutva politics in India until India is completely ruled by Pro-Hindu politicians with Pro-Hindu Ideology.
📷Brothers and sisters,
I grew up in the Indian diaspora as an NRI who didn't know too much about Indian politics or India's internal issues to begin with. I was never religious, I always thought of myself as a cultural Hindu. I thought that Hindus were mostly safe in India being a Hindu majority country with Hindu cultural values.
I thought that the Congress Party was a "normal" party. But when I read about the
2011 draft of the Communal Violence Bill and learned about the
2009 Right to Education Act's inapplicability to Christian minority schools (Pramati judgement), I quickly came to the conclusion that the Congress Party and Sonia/Rahul Gandhi are part of a Vatican/Catholic Church/Christian/Western conspiracy against Hindus and Hinduism. When Sonia Gandhi married Rajiv Gandhi, the Catholic Church saw this moment as its "Constantine" moment in India, when it could try to achieve its nefarious goals by controlling the Indian National Congress. Ever wonder why INC is aligned with Christian missionaries? Who did Rahul Gandhi meet first in Bharat Jodo Yatra? A hate mongering Catholic priest named George Ponniah who spewed vile hatred against the Hindus of Tamil Nadu.
See the following article:
https://swarajyamag.com/politics/is-congress-anti-hindu In particular, I have a deep hatred of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi who are Catholic Christians. They are evil, completely anti-Hindu, and the brainchild of laws like
Right to Education Act and the 2011 draft of the Communal Violence Bill. It is painfully obvious that they are Vatican agents who have a deep hatred of Hindus and of Indians. That is why I pray for Sonia and Rahul's downfall each and every day.
Communal Violence Bill - Do all Hindus know that the Congress Party tried to pass a Communal Violence Bill in 2011 that assumed that all Hindus were guilty as default, just by being born as Hindus, while Christians & Muslims could freely attack Hindus without any consequences? Did you know that this plan involved creating a so-called "National Communal Commission" with a "minority" (read Muslim/Christian) majority that could somehow control the Indian armed forces and the police forces to bully and terrorize Hindus? Luckily the BJP under Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, along with Narendra Modi, blocked Congress from passing this anti-Hindu law. BJP and RSS successfully killed this law and then won 2014 in a landslide. Luckily since 2013, the genocidal anti-Hindu Congress Party has been destroyed in the Rajya Sabha and so can never do something like this Communal Violence Bill (CVB) again. Also, India has massive internet penetration now in 2023 compared to back then in 2013 when Congress tried to pass CVB, so if the Italian scum who rule the Congress Party try to pass CVB again they will be exposed and there will be bloody retaliation against them. Variants of the Communal Violence Bill appear in different Congress manifestos under cleverly disguised names and descriptions, but the anti-Hindu intent of the Italian scum is the same. Harsh Mander, who wrote this evil anti-Hindu law with genocidal intent, is still running free instead of being hunted down and punished.
Right to Education Act - We all know how this law discriminates against Hindus running schools while leaving Christian "minority" institutions completely exempt from its horrible requirements like 25% quota, teacher salaries (that are extremely high for no reason), infra requirements like playgrounds etc. Hindus need linguistic minority status or Jain minority status just to escape RTE on their school. This law is so evil and no other country in the world has laws that discriminate against their majority community in education. How dare a Catholic padre who is a filthy pedophile has more rights than a Hindu to run a school without government interference? This was the brainchild of Vatican agent and Catholic terrorist Sonia. People like @ realitycheckind on Twitter have been screaming about RTE since 2014.
Nowadays, wealthy Hindus get around RTE by running linguistic minority or Jain minority schools. In Maharashtra, for instance, the vast majority of Hindu schools owned by politicians or big businessmen switched to linguistic minority status (Hindi/Gujarati/Kannada/Sindhi/Marwadi/Punjabi/Malayalam) or to Jain/Buddhist minority status. For instance, you'll notice that Ambani school in Mumbai is a Gujarati linguistic minority institution, or that Lodha school school in Mumbai is Jain minority, or that Birla school is Marwadi linguistic minority, or that Walsingham school owned by the Mittal family is Hindi linguistic minority. If the top 1% can kill RTE in their schools, why should a mom-pop Hindu family running a school be forced to take in RTE quota freeloaders?
Given how hard it is to politically undo reservation-type laws, the solution to kill the Right to Education Act across the whole of India is to make all Hindu schools across India into Jain minority institutions on paper, throwing out the 25% RTE quota freeloaders who should be kicked out of non-minority private schools. Simply put, nobody has the right to "free" private school education, just because you are part of a particular caste (SC/ST) or community. RTE is also a tool to infiltrate Muslim kids into Hindu owned private schools to achieve the so-called "secularism" that leftists want. If you run a Jain minority institute for instance, you can avoid such "secularism" and "diversity" in your student body and can screen out certain types of students.
This law was so evil and was the reason why so many communities like the Lingayats etc want minority status. Because no other country in the world has laws that make it easier for "minorities" to run schools compared to the majority community. The Jains wanted minority status and got it from the Congress Party in 2014, solely to protect their private schools and colleges from the evil reservation laws that we have and the 93rd constitutional amendment. Nowadays, all wealthy Hindus/corporate India are running Jain minority schools and colleges in the private sector free from any type of caste based reservation. In the future, you will see a movement run by Upper Caste Hindus against reservation in private educational institutions. Pratap Bhanu Mehta (who is really a Jain) knew of the 93rd amendment back in 2005 and successfully got the Jain minority status from the Congress Party. I've seen really top-notch private schools that have linguistic/Jain minority status and are safe from RTE.
Despite this law there, RSS appointees like Priyank Kanoongoo (head of NCPCR - national child rights commission) continue to try to "enforce" RTE on hapless Hindu owned non-minority schools. I have no idea why RSS doesn't have a problem with RTE. If Mr. Modi himself wanted to end RTE, I could guarantee you that this whole "program" would have been shut down on Day 1.
Why should a Hindu school owner be forced to admit 25% "free" education, while a similar school run by a Christian does not have to do so? Is this secularism? If it isn't secular, why aren't Hindus coming on the roads, demanding RTE to be imposed on the schools that those Catholic rapists run?
The True Religion of All Top Congress Leaders (news-flash, Congress is Hindu hating group of individuals plotting against Hindu civilization). While Owaisi is a radical Islamist, people like Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are the biggest threat to Hindus on our planet today. Rahul Gandhi - Catholic Christian
Catholic Christian like his mother. Pretends to be a Hindu but hates Hindu culture and Hindu traditions. Is more of an Italian Catholic Christian who is more comfortable talking to Catholic padres in a Church. Is most at home in Kerala with a large Catholic population. Uses Muslims as a vote bank but is really aligned with radical Christian forces that are enemies of Hindu civilization. Ran away from a Hindu majority parliamentary constituency to go to a "secular" Wayanad where Abrahamics (Muslims + Christians) are over 60% of the population, knowing that Hindus would punish him electorally.
Sonia Gandhi - Italian Catholic Christian, whose real name is ANTONIO MAINO. How on Earth did the largest opposition party (Indian National Congress) get taken by an Italian Christian woman and a Vatican stooge?
Malikharjun Kharge - Buddhist Ambedkarite Dalit. Also has a hatred for Hindu Dharma, even when Hinduism and Buddhism are both Indian/Indic faiths in our civilization that are mutually compatible with each other. Hindus don't have any problem with Buddhism or Buddhists and even see Buddhism as an "improved" or "enlightened" version of Hinduism, yet the radical Ambedkarite ideology tries to instigate Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes from other Hindu castes when all Hindus across our country are equal and together. Hindus don't have a problem with anybody embracing Buddhism.
Manmohan Singh - Sikh who was the first non-Hindu Prime Minister of India. Under Mr. Manmohan Singh's tenure, the Congress Party tried to pass the Communal Violence Bill (2011 draft) which distinguished between "minorities" and Hindus in criminal law but was luckily blocked by the BJP who killed it. Now Sonia Gandhi could have chosen a Hindu in her Congress Party as the Prime Minister when Congress won in 2004 and 2009. But she deliberately chose a non-Hindu to implement her radical Hindu-hating agenda. A titular figurehead whose daughter was found working for George Soros and who has a Hindu hating agenda as well.
Others - Ambika Soni who is a Christian, Kapil Sibal who also seems to be a Christian and so forth.
It is painfully clear that Congress Party has an agenda against Hindus and Hinduism and that their national leaders are anti-Hindu. So, why does Congress still win in some state elections? Himachal Pradesh - was very close in 2022. Also, the Congress Party in Himachal Pradesh seems to be led by people who are Hindus. Never saw Hinduphobia YET in Himachal by Himachal Congress.
Chhattisgarh - Suspect that there is a massive conversion of tribals to Christianity, particularly in forests. Would be very dangerous if Baghel wins a 2nd term.
Karnataka - BJP government in Karnataka was corrupt and had poor leaders, with massive anti-incumbency with a 36% vs 43% vote differential. Also, the Kharge factor was there and many Hindu Dalits who would have voted for BJP voted for Cong just because of Kharge's Ambedkarite credentials. If the Congress unit in Karnataka supports Christian missionaries or Muslim terrorist organizations like PFI, it's up to the BJP government at the center to act.
Rajasthan - anti-incumbency in 2018. BJP should win Rajasthan very easily in 2023.
I don't think BJP is favored to win Chhattisgarh but I don't want Congress to ever have more than 3 states (Himachal, Karnataka, Chhatisgarh) by the end of 2023.
____________________________________________________________________________
Congress, being a minoritarian party full of radical Muslim + Christian terrorists, should be reduced below 10% of seats in the Rajya Sabha (currently it's at 31/245 or 12.6%).
It is no surprise that Rahul Gandhi called for American/Western intervention in India's democracy to subvert the will of the Hindu majority (see the interview where this treacherous Rahul Gandhi asks American Nicholas Burns to "intervene" in India's internal affairs).
Hatred towards Hindus is Hatred towards India as a whole.
TLDR: Rahul Gandhi should come clean and disclose his real religion (Catholic Christianity). Why should Hindus let somebody who is completely hateful towards us continue to malign us in international forums, insult our people, our country, our government, and our civilizational nation? Go to the Vatican.
What is Congress's Idea of India and What Does it Really Mean? [Differential Laws on the basis of a person's religion, like Right to Education (RTE) and Communal Violence Bill (CVB). Apartheid laws that discriminate against Hindus] When Rahul Gandhi or some Congress person like Shashi Tharoor (who also seems to be a crypto Catholic Christian) talks about the "Idea of India", they imagine an India where people are subjected to different laws on the basis of faith and where Hindus are 3rd class citizens compared to Abrahamics.
The "Idea of India" people want a world in which Christian schools are exempt from RTE, while Hindu schools suffer RTE; a world where Hindus suffer from a so-called Communal Violence Bill while minorities (Muslims + Christians) terrorize Hindus.
Does this "Idea of India" appeal to you? If you forcefully try to impose Christian or Muslim supremacy on a country with over a billion Hindus, we will retaliate and we will destroy you. In an era where people are connected via telecommunications/Internet and are becoming more literate and technologically savvy, if you do anything against Hindus, we will destroy you. Your fake "Gandhi" surname won't stop us from noticing that you are a Vatican terrorist along with your mother.

Tulsa has 6 double-digit win seasons in the last 32 years, with 5 in the last 15. That success, despite 11 seasons with 3 or less wins, puts them all the way up to #81 on the list. Their 8 bowl wins is the most of any team so far, and 5 conference titles is up there as well. If we look at total history, Tulsa’s actually had major historical success, winning 35 conference titles with a 643-526-28 all-time record. All-time draft greats include NFL Hall of Fame WRs Steven Largent and Drew Pearson (undrafted), and QB Gus Frerotte. Consensus AAs were OL Jerry Ostroski in 1991 and LB Zaven Collins in 2020. Zaven was a freak athlete at 6’5 260 lbs, racking up 4 sacks, 4 TFL, 4 INTs, and 2 defensive TDs in just 8 games. He ranked 2nd in the nation in interception return yards, as a LB, in just 8 games!
Top 5 Seasons
Worst Season: 2001 (1-10 overall, 0-8 WAC) The good news? They beat Indiana State 51-0 in the opener. The bad news? That was their last win for the next 17 games. Tulsa continued their decade-long struggle, having not had a winning season in 10 years. All losses were by 10+ points, including 10-26 to 2-9 UTEP and 27-63 to 3-9 San Jose State in front of a San Jose crowd of just 6,873. To add insult to injury, Tulsa got little brother’d hard by #3 Oklahoma toward the end of the season, losing 0-58 in Norman. The game was available on PPV, which I hope no Tulsa fan paid for. QBs Josh Blankenship and Tyler Gooch split snaps, with Blankenship having the slightly higher passer rating and Gooch being the better runner. Blankenship’s dad, Bill Blankenship, would go on to become Tulsa’s head coach from 2011-14. Gooch took over full time in 2002 and had a much better season than either of them did in 2001, throwing 17 TD to 8 INT. There weren’t many other great players on the roster. OT Kevin Shaffer was drafted in the 7th round after the season and went on to start 93 games for the Falcons/Browns/Bears.
5. 2016 (10-3 overall, 6-2 American) 2016 Tulsa scored on everyone, and let everyone score on them. The offense was RIDICULOUS. Outside of a 3-48 loss to Ohio State (I guess they didn’t score on everyone), they averaged 45.8 PPG, best in the country in 2016. They became the first team in NCAA history to have a 3000+ yard passer, two 1000+ yard rushers, and two 1000+ yard receivers. QB Dane Evans threw for 3348 yards 32 TD 12 INT in his senior season, finishing as Tulsa’s all-time leading passer with 11,680 yards and 84 TD, and between Russell Wilson and Geno Smith as the 39th all-time leading passer in the NCAA. RB D’Angelo Brewer ran for 1435 yards and 7 TD on 5.4 YPC, while RB James Flanders went for 1629 yards and 18 TD on 6.3 YPC. The top receivers were Keevan Lucas (81 catches for 1180 yards and 15 TD) and Joshua Atkinson (78 catches for 1058 yards and 8 TD). Even 4 out of 5 offensive linemen made 1st/2nd team all-conference! Nobody made it on the defensive side, as they gave up 29.8 PPG as a team.
4. 2012 (11-3 overall, 7-1 Conference USA) After failing to produce a conference championship team with talented 3-year starting QB GJ Kinne, they did it immediately in 2012 with the less productive but steady QB Cody Green. After an opening 23-38 loss to Iowa State, they went on a 7 game win streak with wins over bowl teams Fresno State and Rice. They had a chance to catch a reeling John L Smith-led Arkansas team to get to 8-1 and become ranked, but couldn’t score in the 4th to fall 15-19. After a 41-7 win over Houston, 2 weeks later OT Brian DeShane proposed to his girlfriend before the UCF game, and the team was so inspired they fought to a 23-21 win. A loss to SMU in the final week of the regular season was meaningless for championship aspirations, as Tulsa had already clinched a spot in the C-USA title game. Up against UCF in a rematch, Tulsa tied the game 27-27 on a 54 yard punt return for TD with just 5:04 left, and won 33-27 on a walkoff rushing TD in OT, claiming their first conference title since 2005. They outdid themselves in the bowl, avenging a season-opening loss to Iowa State, this time scoring 24 straight to win 31-17.
Green was steady, with 2592 passing yards and 17 TD 11 INT. The main offense came from the run game, which you might have to double take reading these stats. Alex Singleton, the 6’0 265 lb power back, ran for 800 yards and 24(!!) TD on just 4.0 YPC. Trey Watts, who weighed 75 pounds less, ran for 1108 yards and just 3 TD on 6.0 YPC. The third option was Ja’Terian Douglas, who had 936 rushing yards and 7 TD on a team-high 6.8 YPC. Hilariously, Singleton and Douglas either didn’t want to catch passes or couldn’t, combining for 4 catches for 17 yards. Watts had 34 for 343. WR Keyarris Garrett led the team with 845 receiving yards, and after an up-and-down career, would go on to lead the NCAA in receiving yards 3 years later with 1588. On defense, DL Jared St. John led C-USA with 11.5 sacks, and Deaundre Brown was 3rd in the conference with 17 total TFL.
3. 2010 (10-3 overall, 6-2 Conference USA) Todd Graham produced some damn good offenses at Tulsa. This was his 3rd season in 4 years averaging 40+ PPG, ranking 6th in the country with 41.4. GJ Kinne, the current Texas State coach, had a great year in his 2nd season as a starter, earning 1st Team All-CUSA with 3650 passing yards 31 TD 10 INT, and leading the team in rushing with 561 yards with 7 TD. An opening loss to East Carolina was heartbreaking, the Hurricanes up 49-45 with seconds left, decided to call a timeout to defend a hail mary…? It backfired, as East Carolina drew up a play and scored to walk off 51-49. A few weeks later they were 3-3, with a disappointing 1-2 conference record. Hoping to compete for the C-USA title, they were now 2 games behind SMU and didn’t hold the tiebreaker. Still, Tulsa continued to fight. In South Bend facing first year head coach Brian Kelly and Notre Dame, Tulsa somehow held a 28-27 lead in the 4th quarter. Irish QB Tommy Rees drove to the Tulsa 20 in position for a game winning FG, but threw an interception in the end zone to seal a Tulsa win. That’d be a momentum shifter, winning out the rest of the year with wins over 6-5 UTEP, 8-3 Southern Miss, and #24 Hawaii in the bowl 62-35. The Canes took Hawaii’s #24 spot in the final AP Poll.
2. 2008 (11-3 overall, 7-1 Conference USA) Tulsa’s had some really good offenses. But 2008 was on another level. It seemed like every offense in Oklahoma was going nuclear in 2008, as OU led the nation in PPG, Tulsa finished 2nd, and Oklahoma State 9th. This team averaged a whopping 47.2 PPG, good for 1st overall most years. Similar to the GJ Kinne → Cody Green transition, Tulsa lost all-time leading passer Paul Smith only to become even better as a team with new QB David Johnson. The difference this time though, was Johnson was MUCH better than Green, so there was no dropoff from Smith → Johnson.
Armed with HC Todd Graham and OC Gus Malzahn, Tulsa’s offense was the best in the country through 8 games, going 8-0 averaging 55.6(!!!) PPG. #19 Tulsa went to Arkansas with the BCS in their sights, but the offense fell flat in the 2nd half, scoring just 3 points in a 23-30 loss, ending any BCS bowl hopes. After winning 2 of the last 3 games, Tulsa entered the C-USA championship game at 10-2 facing 8-4 East Carolina. 7(!!!) turnovers from Tulsa ensured a loss, but they did all they could, losing 24-27. Johnson had his worst game of the season by far with 1 TD 5 INT. The year did end on a high, with a 45-13 thrashing of #23 Ball State.
David Johnson ranked 2nd in the nation in passer rating, throwing for 4059 yards 46 TD 18 INT with 10.1 YPA. RB Tarrion Adams ran for 1500+ yards and 14 TD, while WR Brennan Marion went for 1112 receiving yards on just 43 catches, for 25.9 yards per catch, leading the nation for the 2nd straight year. The previous year Marrion was even better, getting 39 catches for 1244 yards and 11 TD for an ABSURD 31.9 yards per catch, setting the NCAA record. He also holds the career record with 28.7 yards per catch.
1. 1991 (10-2 overall, Independent) This would be Tulsa’s last great season for over a decade. In the early 1990’s, Tulsa dropped health/PE as a major, which over 50% of football players had. This made it hard to attract recruits to an already selective school, and an aging Skelly Stadium, down to its bones, also made it tough to get recruits to sign. Skelly Field is still going strong after 93 years today. But back to 1991—Tulsa was LEGIT. In week 2, Tulsa beat in-state foe Oklahoma State 13-7. After a 17-23 loss to Kansas, Tulsa hosted #15 Texas A&M in front of 30,000 fans. Down 28-10 at halftime, Tulsa rallied back with a late TD to win it 35-34 for their biggest win in over 20 years. They even went toe-to-toe with the national champions that year, Miami (FL), falling 10-34. Afterwards Tulsa was perfect, beating Louisville 40-0, and San Diego State in the bowl 28-17, finishing 10-2 overall with a #21 final ranking. This team turned out to be pretty stacked for such a small school, with 7 NFL Draft selections over the next 3 years, including 2nd round LB and 10-year Detroit Lion Tracy Scroggins, and QB Gus Frerotte. Frerotte was just a backup in ‘91, to starter TJ Rubley. Rubley finished his senior season as Tulsa’s all time leading passer. He was a 3rd string QB for the Packers in 1995, and audibled out of a QB sneak in a 24-24 game with Minnesota to try and throw a pass, only to throw an interception and lose 27-24. He was cut after the game by Mike Holmgren and never played in the NFL again.
5th Quarter
Why has Tulsa been so successful even with such a small enrollment? Do you agree with them being this high? Who was the best QB out of Paul Smith, David Johnson, GJ Kinne, and Dane Evans? Who’s been the best Tulsa player overall in the past 10-20 years? Is it Zaven Collins or someone else?

Here black enters the From Gambit. White's choices are either taking the pawn, or moving to e4, entering the King's Gambit. The From's main line is with 2.fxe5 d6 3.exd6 Bxd6, usually followed by a vicious kingside assault with g5, or a more strategical Nc6.
White can also decline the second pawn with the line 1.f4 e5 2.fxe5 d6 3.Nf3 dxe5 4.e4, where White's missing f-pawn can be a king safety issue, or an attacking asset after he castles due to the open f-file. The trade of the f-pawn for the d-pawn can also give white additional center control.
Most popular responses
- fxe5 (mw-content-text) This wins a pawn, but creates more kingside weaknesses. Now white will have to be careful to not allow a quick knockout in the opening, after d6 exd6 Bxd6. (Lichess analysis) (Wikibooks) (2477476 games)
- g4 (Bird Opening) This move is a blunder, as it allows the fastest possible checkmate in chess, with Black playing 2...Qh4#. This is a variation of the Fool's Mate. (Lichess analysis) (Wikibooks) (48236 games)

2023.06.05 17:34 Muhsalaz 2015 GSXS750 vs 2011 zx6r
Hey guys, first time post here..
I’m coming from a Harley that I sold a couple of years ago and now I’m looking to get something a bit more sporty for the weekends. This will not be my commuter except maybe sometimes here and there for a 50 mile round trip.
I been looking at these 2 in the used market. The Gsxs750 with about 10k miles for and the zx6r with 18k. The zx6r being the cheaper option by about $500. I took the gsxs out for a spin and definitely enjoyed it, but I’ve never been on a sport bike before and a lot of people are hesitant to give a test ride if I’m not ready to take it on the spot.
Basically just looking to see what others like to have for the weekends and which out of these 2 they would have more fun with

Phish, Sunday 06/05/2022 (1 year ago) Ruoff Music Center, Noblesville, IN, USA
Gap Chart, Tour: 2022 Spring Tour

Jamchart Notes:
Sand - Longest version this side of Big Cypress breaks away at 7:00 and never looks back, blending multiple bliss sections with darker-tinged synth/delay play (including a "Crosseyed" tease from Mike at 12:00) all within the first twenty minutes. Shortly before 22:00 a tidal wave of sound starts building as the jam crests in a series of massive peaks, after which a final easy-going segment serves as an effective exhale.
Show Notes:
The first Sand contained Crosseyed and Painless teases from Mike and an Albert tease from Trey. Mike teased Dueling Banjos in Slave to the Traffic Light.
