So I'm trying Plasma on a 2-in-1 PC, and there's a few things I'd like to talk about — my opinion and mainly questions, so I'll flair it as such.
First, the touchpad gestures: I found them great but I agree with those who find it counter-intuitive to swipe twice in the same direction to get in and out of an effect. Also, is there a way to change the actions of the gesture ? I wanted to swap the overview and windows view actions but couldn't find anything.
As for the touchscreen gestures, uh, it feels a bit like a mess... For instance, how can I go a desktop up or down when the shortcuts are used for windows and overview ? I found not 4-fingers gestures so that's a very weird and pretty frustrating inconsistency. I guess I'm going to use one row of four, but it's quite a shame to have to use it for the touchscreen...
On top of that, Touchegg is rendered pretty much useless because it can't use the gestures already used by Plasma. Is there a workaround to that ?
And same as with the touchpad, it feels weird to me to swipe in the same direction for going in and out of an effect.
So it really is usable, and I think for many people it can be perfect, but personally I found it quite disappointing and if I missed the place where I can set this up, I would really appreciate being pointed to where it is.

I have a few things going on here. Obviously some new steps in the plan, and fixing this shifted section of wall, but also there is a 10ft pair of lintels holding the front bump out of the house I am going to be replacing. Already been digging new footings and building some new wall and core filling everything I can get to. I also have some extra support installed, But this stuff is all new to me. I am an electrician for money. At home I do everything. There is no money in the budget to pay for labor. But tools and materials are no problem.

My post is because I can not decide on a best plan. up front in the corner I poured a new block of concrete against the slid over, well missing, block. I can pour another all the way down the front and then take it apart brick by brick and rebuild it. Or, maybe, It can get swung back into place, or, maybe, The whole mess can get shoved back into place including the 1st row of block. Its not loose as it sits. I do think it is contributing support to the deck.
My plan where the new corner is going up is to fill that void full of concrete all the way up to the porch deck. Then remove the old CMU and rebuild that with new CMU, also filled. I don't want to have a spot for any water to accumulate. It was getting under the porch and pooling against the house. Freeze/thaw cycles busted the shit out of all of this for the last 94 years.
I have some direct questions, but feel free to call out anything. Especially safety related stuff. I have been kicking around different ideas for how to support the porch pad. cribbing, block piers, If I unsupport it and it sags, what would I need to be able to lift it back. How much does a slab like that weigh. I have 1 good screw jack and a handful of auto jacks on hand, I do not trust hydro with my life. My normal move is to use the screw jack and shims and just move it around. I figure the pad weighs more than a car. Can the deck support itself over a 20ft span while the wall is replaced?
Anyone out there do this kind of repair work? House 2 doors down had theres fixed and they replaced it with cmu, looks like shit compared to the matching brick.
Any tricks for keeping these bricks clean? I Keep making a mess with the mortar and the textured faces make it more fun.
I could go on a bit, but really I am after another human to either redirect me, or encourage my existing plan. I am open to hear more direct approaches also. Goal is a straight wall and supported deck.

This Subreddit will be going private June 12-14. Don't Let Reddit Kill 3rd Party Apps!
What's going on?
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader to Boost.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface. This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.
What's the plan?
On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
What can you do?

1. Complain. Message the mods of reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
2. Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join us at our sister sub at ModCoord- but please don't pester mods you don't know by simply spamming their modmail.
3. Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
4. Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.

How does this impact reason?
Even if you only use the official Reddit app and/or "New Reddit" on desktop, this change still impacts all of us. reason uses third party apps and browser extensions for its moderation.
We believe that people who wish to use this subreddit in the way that's most accessible to them. There are also people who are short sighted or even completely blind who cannot use the reddit mobile app to browse Reddit and require the use of third party apps. It's unfair for them to have to suffer.
We hope this gets the message across to Reddit.

I have a hard time eating left overs. I lived by myself for like 6 years and got in the habbit of only making enough food for one meal because I hate leftovers and have a hard time eating them before they go bad, I have given myself food poisoning because I ate food that I did not realize had gone bad yet.
My bf and I have been living together for 2 years now and he gets upset at throwing out food which I understand. But he has started making jokes about it because if he can laugh about it than he won't get mad. But these jokes are all at my expense. I ordered more sushi than I could eat in one sitting and he jokes about not bothering to put it in the fridge because we'll just toss it.
Last night he asked me to make French toast for dinner, he had bought a 1L carton of milk for it and I used maybe a cup of milk last night to make us French toast. I forgot to put the milk away. He goes to bed a few hours before me as he gets up at like 3am to go to work. When he got up he saw it on the counter. When I woke up I saw that he had written "Why am I here?" on the carton. I sat on the kitchen floor and cried. I felt stupid and guilty over the milk that would have probably gone bad in the fridge anyway because neither of us drink milk. He could have also put it away last night as it was sitting on the counter right next to where I put his plate for him. I'm not the only one who missed it.
I do plan on talking to him tonight to explain to him how this makes me feel. I just needed to get it out before work today.

Some time, maybe 6 months ago our infrastructure team noticed in AAD that Intune had been "enabled" for our environment. This was true for probably about 4 weeks before support was asking about the extra steps/prompts that come along with joining a device to the domain. We don't use SCCM either.
On top of this we're a hybrid tenant. My question is: is there some place I can work within AAD to change the "Sign in URL" for MS Apps? Ours seems to still point to Intune for users unlucky enough to have been setup during this window.
Any documentation or direction is greatly appreciated. Google provides very little when looking for details as to how to "remove intune from your environment". Essentially what I'm trying to do is search for any potential remnants from this event. From my perspective there has to be an org out there some where that removed SCCM / Intune successfully. I just can't find any details to that effect, all the guides I'm seeing are for going TO Intune, we don't want to do that...

I don't get how there are people that are still sending her money after everything she's done. She took your money and used it for alcohol and an impulsive trip to drive to Colorado and see Andrew.
It's a repeat cycle of sad Livestream/video, appearing to get better, then a shock video, and finally she disappears. This is not the first time and definitely not the last.
She's doing Livestreams now cuz she knows people will still give her money. Instead of providing her viewers and subs actual content. Why would you support that. It's lazy and she is just sitting and talking. I'd only support if she posts actual vlogs.
But has anyone noticed that her content since the Sims has downgraded so much ? Even her vlogs are the bare minimum and she's always implying to give her gifts and mentioning what she wants/needs.
Isn't anyone else willing to call out her bad behavior ? She's a 40 year old woman with the maturity of a teen... It's sad.

Maybe it is just me and I am socially awkward, but when I am in a bar or pub, sometimes I am not sure if someone is open to interaction. Also I don't want to pretend like this can only be used in Wolverhampton. However, users in Wolverhampton will only be able to see other users in Wolverhampton/local area.

I'm using the PC app, connect my Zwift hub via a bluetooth dongle. I've had Zwift for 6 months, 1 to 2 rides a week, there hasn't been a SINGLE ride where it didn't bug at least a bit. I've tried using it with ant+ before, it was even worse, also tried it on 2 different computers (one being my gaming pc, so a powerful one), it just bugs on both.
It's like the app tries to find reasons to bug:
- I've forgotten to turn off bluetooth on my phone nearby => makes the app bug
- I'm also connecting earbuds to my pc via bluetooth to have sound => makes the app bug
- Connecting my watch to Zwift via either bluetooth or ant+ => makes the app bug
- The Zwift hub is connected to the pc via the bluetooth setting in addition to in game => makes the app bug
What's weird is that it's not always, sometimes I can connect my watch to zwift and it works for example, and sometimes it'll make the whole game bug.
Also by bug I mean a lot of different things, it can be either:
-game crashes in the menus before even starting a workout
-game doesn't crash but keeps freezing while working out
-hub disconnecting from the game for a few seconds every few minutes

I'm so sick of spending at best 30-60 minutes to just start a workout and at worst having to give up after 1h of trying !
Am I alone having issues with the pc app ?
And how do you guys use Zwift for it not to bug ? The mobile app maybe ?

We all know that the buses and trains just aren't as busy as they used to be. Ridership is growing, and the recovery has not stopped yet, but they are still missing around 30% of the pre-pandemic riders.
So how could the pandemic be good for DART? Of the recovery continues, DART may actually reach pre-pandemic levels of ridership in around 2-3 years. The riders returning least are the rush hour 9-5 commuter, and currently, there is much less of a peak during the rush hour than there used to be. Demand is more spread out over the midday as well
This is good because, taking out an extra bus just to run it for 3 hours is expensive. Very very expensive. There is labor costs associated with bringing it to and from the yard, if you can use that bus all day you get more for your money. The labor costs for having a driver drive your bus for just the rush hour may be the same as having a bus driver drive that bus all day, depending on the terms with the union contract (idk where DART is on this but it's pretty typical for the transit industry afaik)
What the pandemic may let DART do is focus it's resources on providing good service all day instead of having to dedicate so many resources to handle the rush hour peak. One thing to also note, Sundays are already back to pre-pandemic ridership levels. This means that non-remote workers are returning to transit and transit usage may actually be growing this demographic. That demographic may not always be traveling during the rush hour, their shifts start and end at all times of day. Serving these trips is what will make DART better

I've tried to start using blender after some time then got bored is there any tips
anyone can help me get the motivation? i really want to learn how to make rigs
and animations and how to start i've tried watching youtube tutorials but i always make a mistake then leave the software for about 3 years then come back after awhile
