No sound on passenger door speakers (aftermarket)

2023.03.29 18:45 Psychological-Lab375 No sound on passenger door speakers (aftermarket)

Looking for some opinions on what might be the issue and what steps I should take.
I installed an aftermarket radio (kenwood exelon kdc x300) and aftermarket component speakers (infinity reference something can't remeber exact model)
They worked fine for about 4 months and then the passenger side went dead. I immediately checked the wiring inside the door and in the dash and it looked good to me. I left it this way for months as I wasn't using the truck at all, and now that I'm starting to use it again I want to try to fix it.
I tore out the head unit the other day, and the wiring in behind looked okay, though I did notice slight discolouration/ burn marks where I soldered the wiring harness but nothing too bad.
I put everything together and then drove it home. I was taking a hard turn to the left and the speakers had some sound come out of them for a second and then gone again. The drivers side door is also starting to have issues where only the tweeter or woofer is working at once and it is very sporadic.
I did not run new wiring to the speakers (wishing I did now) I just plugged them into the existing wiring.
In your opinion is this most likely a wiring issue or a head unit issue? My truck is an 08 single cab without the jbl system. Any input is greatly appreciated thanks for your time .

2023.03.29 18:45 model-willem SM175 Scotland International Trade Motion Motion Vote

Order, Order.
We turn now to a Vote on SM175, in the name of the Scottish National Party. The question is that this Parliament approves the Scotland International Trade Motion.
Members are reminded to vote FoAgainst/Abstain. Attempts to stylise a vote may result in it not being counted. Where there is mix-up with an alternative voting style, this shall also be accepted.

Scotland International Trade Motion

The Scottish Parliament notes that
(1) That in 2022 Scotland exported products for a total worth of £25.8 billion.
(2) It’s important for Scottish businesses that they are represented well in trade deals and other international agreements.
(3) The First Minister said that the Scottish Government would examine its details after a deal has been struck, not before.
The Scottish Parliament calls on the Government to
(1) Work with the U.K. Government beforehand to make sure that the interests of Scottish businesses are protected.
(2) Have a discussion with the new U.K. minister responsible for international trade to highlight the importance of Scottish products in trade agreements.
This motion was written by The Most Honourable Sir model-willem KD KP OM CT CB CMG CBE PC MSP MS MLA, Member of Scottish Parliament for Moray, on behalf of the Scottish National Party
Opening Speech
Presiding Officer,
As this motion notes, export is an important part of our economy, £25.8 billion are earnied by businesses by doing trade with other countries outside of the United Kingdom. It is therefore of the utmost importance that Scotland’s interests are well-managed and that we’re getting our fair share in future trade deals and other international agreements and arrangements. This means that it’s a task for the Scottish Government to make sure that this happens.
During the first First Minister’s Questions starting on March 9th 2023, the First Minister said that it’s “a matter for Westminster and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs” and “there is no Department for International Trade within the Scottish Government, and trade policy is the full responsibility of the UK Government.” While these are both true, this doesn’t mean that the Scottish Government should turn a blind eye and accept whatever the Westminster Government does beforehand. The Scottish Government owes it to the Scottish people and Scottish businesses to work with the U.K. Government on these issues before deals are struck, not after they have happened and changes might not be able to be made.
I hope that everybody who wants to let the Scottish economy succeed vote in favour of this motion and push the Scottish Government to do its job, and help the Scottish people.

Voting on this item of Business ends with the close of Business on April 1st, at 10 pm BST.

2023.03.29 18:44 willboss27 Lost Memoirs; February 12th, 1768

This is a continuation from my last post, but I've decided that I preferred the title "Lost Memoirs". This series is dedicated to re-establishing the Dead Men as the fearsome warriors that they are, as I am still a bit miffed that Temper Fray is more scared of Valkyrie than Skulduggery.
I plan on writing a Shudder-based one next, maybe one of Erskine. If you have any ideas, let me know. All of these are planned to be written in the POV's of Mevolent's soldiers, with a little spin to show they're not completely evil. Enjoy.

Lost Memoirs; February 12th, 1768

Captain Farvery Ditch walked through the trench, the wooden boards failing in their duty of being a dignified safe harbour from the mud that squelched underneath his boots, splashing up to coat his trousers. The tall dark trees of the Black Forest, their branches laden with snow, cast deep and long shadows over the area, saving them from the sun but dooming them to the cold. His breath billowed out in front of him as he walked, the freezing temperatures of the German landscape forcing him into a fleece coat, hiding away the muscles he’d spent years developing. Despite being a German citizen by birth, the War had taken him to lands far away from Germany, their temperatures warmer and less harrowing. Over the time he’d spent away, his body had gotten used to the warmer temperatures. Had conditioned to it. But now he was back, three years going, and he was suffering the temperature like many under his care. Sent back home on the outskirts of Lörrach, right on the border of the Black Forest, tasked with the objective of pushing further into Europe in the hopes of eventually pressuring the Australian Sanctuary from the north. During those three years, they had suffered losses, but had also won many battles, the land they were on highly contested. As such, something of a stalemate had occurred between them and the German Sanctuary, neither able to truly triumph over the other.
As he walked, he passed men and women huddled in groups in the mud, some reviewing maps and battle strategies, others polishing swords and cleaning muskets, and more still merely trying to share the warmth. On any other occasion, Farvery would have reprimanded them. Put them on toilet duty or on lookout. But this time, he allowed it. They needed even the smallest amount of morale to keep them after the battles they’d had to suffer through in recent months. Battles that had seen family members separated, either by death or by distance, and much blood had been spilt. Many of their men and women were somewhere in the Black Forest, constantly engaged with the guerrilla forces of the German Sanctuary. It was unfortunate that family had to be separated, but that was war.
Reaching his destination, which was the front of a small make-shift wooden cabin, he checked to make sure his sword was properly strapped to his waist, as well as the dual holsters behind him that provided a snug place for his twin pistols. His prized possessions, marking him out as someone of rank. Someone to be listened to. Someone to be feared. Knocking once on the wooden door, he let himself in, enjoying the warmth that rushed to envelope him as he stepped through the threshold and closed the door. Standing in the middle of the room was the only man in the land who succeeded him in rank: Major Burgundy Dalrymple.
“Sir,” Farvery bowed his head respectfully. “You wished to see me?”
“That I did,” Burgundy growled. “Our soldiers are taking a beating. We’ve been trying to push out of Europe and into Asia for the past three years with little success. Can you perhaps explain why this may be the case?”
“Communication,” Farvery responded immediately. “Specifically, the lack of it.”
“Exactly. We have soldiers and armies spread out all over Europe, and yet none of us can get past Germany, because we’re not communicating. We’re fighting a force as large as us in smaller groups. Unfortunately, we simply cannot overrun the German line. It’s too heavily guarded by German sorcerers, and the German Sanctuary has managed to thwart us at every turn, even successfully standing against the Unveiled, blessed be their name.”
“Blessed be their name.” Farvery murmured, acknowledging the family's legacy.
“I’ve recommended we go in and tear the place down. Get the Diablerie in and show the Sanctuaries that if we’re capable of destroying one Sanctuary, we can most certainly destroy others. Seeing as how the French Sanctuary wasn’t a good enough lesson for them, I’m hopeful the destruction of a second will be.”
“Getting rid of the German Sanctuary would be a great boon for us,” Farvery said. “I doubt it will take much convincing.”
“Agreed,” huffed Burgundy. “But right now, we must focus on the real problem. The crux of the issue. I’m under the belief that the reason behind their success is due to our own failure to establish a new line of communication to compensate for our newly-found shortage of teleporters.”
Farvery nodded, recalling the day their teleporter had been visited by Haze Netting, a fellow teleporter, and told that Mevolent was recalling all their teleporters for safekeeping. A response to the Sanctuaries crackdown on teleporters, cutting down any that didn’t swear allegiance to them.
“In the absence of our Teleporters, we must rely on our Sensitives. Which is why I am entrusting you with this.” From underneath the map, Burgundy produced a manilla envelope sealed with a stamp in black wax. “I need you to take this through the Black Forest to the encampment at Todtmoos, where a Sensitive will be waiting to provide instructions to other Sensitives around Europe. It’s a nine-hour hike, so you’ll be supplied with a horse and provisions. But you’ll be on your own. This envelope contains crucial information, so the less people going means less people know about it. A large group attracts attention, one man leaving does not. Can I trust that you’ll get this to the men at Todtmoos by nightfall?”
“You can, sir,” Farvery confirmed. It’s a nine hour walk, four with a horse. I should arrive before midday.”
“Good. Get moving then.”
Knowing when a conversation was over, Farvery sharply saluted, turned and left the cabin, feeling the cold slice through his jacket and chill his skin once again. Tucking the envelope into the inside pocket stitched in his jacket, he made his way to the rudimentary stables they’d erected. Reaching them, he paused to watch the young recruits sparring, laughing and dancing as they battered each other with sticks and blunted blades. He watched them eating together, still capable of smiles and laughter. He saw young couples holding hands, holding each other, sharing memories. The sight before him hardened his resolve, dispelling the cold around him. As a man with children of his own, Farvey knew that they fought for the good of the next generation. To give them a life free to do what they wanted, whenever they wanted, out in the open. The kind of life he’d never gotten but had always wanted growing up. Reaching the stables, he approached a chestnut-coloured horse, her coat clean and rippling with muscle. He’d trained with this horse, and knew that it was prepared for long adventures.
“Good girl,” he murmured, patting its flank. The horse swayed its head to him and butted his chest lightly. Smiling, he was stroking the horse's snout when a young boy rushed over, red in the face and carrying a burlap sack.
“For you, sir. To accompany you on your journey.”
“Thank you, Thomas. Have you been thinking of a name for yourself yet?”
“I was thinking about Hickory Ditch, sir,” the youth said cheekily, grinning to reveal a gappy smile.
“Oi,” Farvery chuckled, swiping at the boy, who ducked under his arm with ease. “That’s my name. Get your own, you little bugger.”
Thomas laughed. “I like to think I could carry it so no one will ever forget your name, sir. Everyone needs to hear about the hero of the Inferni Battle in Mexico.”
Another boy joined Thomas, eyes wide with awe. “Oh my gosh, it’s Captain Ditch,” he breathed, his small frame shaking with excitement. “Will we be allowed to run around using magic soon, sir? My mum and my dad told me that soon we will be allowed to be free and we can live with the mortals without having to hide who we are.”
Farvery reached over and ruffled the kid’s hair. “You sure will be. But don’t forget your parents are heroes as well. They’re fighting for your freedom as well.”
Thomas and the boy cheered as Farvery jumped on top of the horse, getting himself comfortable in the saddle as his feet sought the stirrups. As he coaxed the animal out of the stable, Burgundy walked over, a look of amusement on his face as other young sorcerers rushed over to see the Captain off. “Looks like you’ve got yourself a little procession there, Captain. A fitting send off for the mighty hero.”
Farvery laughed, waving off his superior's jests and dug the stirrups into the horse, prompting it into a brisk walk as it navigated the winding trench and to the entrance facing the Black Forest. Turning his horse around one final time to wave to the crowd that had gathered, he saw the children grinning and waving wildly, the parents behind them more conservative with their goodbyes. A certain weariness had filled the air, but its heaviness was lightened with hope. Hope that this could be the beginning of the end. Hope that their children will see a brighter future. With a final royal wave, he spurred his horse into a gallop, charging deep into the Black Forest.

The wind roared in his ears as the horse charged through the undergrowth, her hooves churning up snow and dirt. The trees blurred past, the combination of oak, pine, spruce and maple trees throwing dancing shadows on the floor of the forest. Farvery remained silent, his thoughts keeping him company as he considered the future. It had been an hour since he’d left Lörrach, and he was making good time. He’d get to Todtmoos before the noon sun, if his horse maintained its speed.
As he rode, he enjoyed the silence of the Black Forest, only his horses' hooves stamping against the ground. It was calming, being away from the encampment. It was freeing. After a while, he slowed the horse down to a halt. Jumping off, he dug into his pack and withdrew a waterskin. Taking a deep gulp out of it, he cupped his hand and let some of that precious liquid fall into it. Making sure to keep as still as possible, he lifted the hand up to the horse, letting her drink from his hand. After a few moments, the horse was ready. He patted it, absentmindedly pondering on the fact that he hadn’t named the horse.
“I feel like I should name you,” he murmured. “My parents had a farm when I was younger. They’d allow me to ride their horses. Yes, they did. Even when the townsfolk were banging on our door with their torches and pitchforks, my mother was telling me to take a horse and ride it to my favourite spot in the countryside, and that I wasn’t allowed to come back until my father came to find me,” he patted the horse gently, resting his head against it. “He never did. Took me years to realise what had happened. I told them I didn’t want to leave Germany.”
The horse whinnied softly.
Farvery smiled. “I think I’ll call you Hope. Hope that one day we will get rid of the mortal scum and live our lives in peace, forever. The world would be better off anyway, wouldn’t it?”
The horse bumped its head against his chest. As it snorted, the surrounding quiet was punctuated by the snap of a branch. Farvery twisted around, instantly alert. He looked around him, moving in a complete circle, parts of the forest flat, others on a decline, others on an incline. It was impossible to discern exactly where the noise had come from, and it was entirely possible that it had simply been a branch falling from a tree. Forcing himself to relax, he got back in the saddle and continued.
After a while of more riding, he saw a sign up ahead, crude and roughly made with stones and sticks. Reigning Hope in, he forced the beast to a steady walk, giving him the opportunity to read the sign.
“Path clear up ahead.”
“Well, isn’t that considerate,” Farvery murmured. He’d sent a small group of young men into the forest to survey the area and map it out for future battle strategies. They’d told him of a large hole that had consumed part of the path. Evidently, they didn’t tell him they’d fixed it.
Pleased with his men’s intuition, he reached down to pat his horse’s neck. “See that girl? That’s the sign of boy's maturing into men. Don’t you think so?”
The horse snorted in reply. Smiling, he straightened up and looked back up to continue on when he saw something move in the corner of his eye. A shadow flickering between the trees up on the hill. Moving his head quickly, he scanned the hill, his trained eyes spotting a badger bumbling through the snow and a red squirrel climbing up a tree. Otherwise, nothing but the leaves falling in synchronicity with the light snow made any movement. Clicking his tongue, he prompted the horse forward, trying to shake the sense of foreboding. If the War had taught him anything, it was the fact that it didn’t matter where you were, there was always an enemy nearby. But he knew that they had encampments in the forest. No one could have slipped through unless they knew exactly where the sentries were. Comforting himself with that fact, he continued riding, his thoughts traveling back to how he planned on taking the German Sanctuary, considering Thomas’ suggestion of completely destroying the place.
As he rode, his ears perked up as a second set of drumming ricocheted through the trees. There was another horse rider out here. Slowing his horse, he heard the other horses footsteps, louder than before and too slow to match his own. In a split second’s decision, he pressed the stirrups into Hope’s flank, prompting the horse to get faster before the other rider sensed their realisation. Deep in thought now, he thought back to the figure he thought he’d seen in the trees. Now he knew it was, in fact, someone he’d seen, and that the person was following him.
“What do I do?” Farvery murmured to Hope, the horse flicking its head as it galloped as a response. He was still deep in his thoughts when he was abruptly ripped into reality, his body violently pitching forward, his horse screaming as it fell into the hole that a large pile of leaves had been hiding. Thrown forward, Farvery’s body slammed against the wall of the hole, and he scrabbled at the ground for purchase, his nails ripping and tearing as he grabbed at snow and dirt. Finding solid earth to latch onto, Farvery managed to prevent himself from falling in. For a moment, he remained in that position, his mind processing what had happened, but he knew he couldn’t remain like this. Not with someone following him. Looking up, he began to claw his way back to solid ground, dragging his body upwards and ignoring his screaming muscles. Reaching the surface, Farvery drew in deep breaths, shaking his arms to loosen his taut muscles. Looking over the edge, he felt his heart yank as he saw Hope at the bottom, impaled in various areas by large wooden spikes.
“No,” he whispered. “No, no, no.” A sob erupted from his chest, and he sucked in some gasping breaths as he stood up shakily. He looked up at the clouds, seeing the sun set to his left. It was the afternoon sun now. He was almost at Todtmoos. Staggering away from the horrific scene, he continued on foot, drawing his jacket around him for comfort. Gritting his teeth, he twisted his head around like it was on a swivel, glaring at anything that moved or could hide a person. Which was everything that surrounded him. Sweating now, his heart hammering within him, he heard leaves rustle and he twisted around, baring his teeth. Drawing one of his pistols, he marched forward, mustering his courage, and waved it around. “Where are you!?” He roared. “You cold, heartless bastard! Who does that to a horse?!”
There was silence, and he turned, staggering away and down into a gulley that was overflowing with vines, brush and ferns. Halfway across, he turned his head and saw a figure dart through the trees. Cursing, he turned, pulling the trigger of his pistol. There was a spray of bark as his bullet hit the tree, but there came no response. Charging forward, he made it to the tree and looked behind it, expecting someone to be standing there. But as he stared, he felt the colour drain from his face as he stared at the piece of parchment with two words scrawled on it
‘Missed me.’
Fear jolting in him now, Farvery plunged back into the brush and threw himself into a large bush, trusting that it would hide him. As he crouched there, trying to slow his breathing, his mind ran through the possibilities.
‘Sensitive? They knew I was going to look there. No, I would’ve seen them. Invisibility? I would’ve seen tracks of some kind. Unless they’re that good. A hunter. Couldn’t be an Elemental, they would’ve struck by now.’
His thoughts were interrupted by an arrow impaling the ground in front of him, spraying him with snow. Hesitating, looking around the area, he picked it up. There were three tiny letters scratched into the shaft of the arrow.
‘I C U’
Terror seized him and he launched himself out from the bush, snow flying everywhere as he ran towards the steep decline of the hill, knowing that was his best opportunity, the arrow’s trajectory meaning the hunter was behind him. Diving, he skidded down the decline, feet first. Twisting his body on the way, he looked up and saw the dark figure, bow in hand, staring down at him. Fear coiled in his veins and he willed his descent to go quicker. Reaching the bottom, he staggered to his feet and continued on, doggedly making his way forward. In the distance, he could see a warm orange glow. A fire. Camp. It was Todtmoos. He was almost there. Then a sharp pierced his leg and he let out a scream of pain, falling to the earth. Looking over, he saw the arrow that had sliced through his leg, destroying his ability to run. Whimpering, he scanned the landscape and saw no one. No dark figures. No notes on trees. Nothing. Trying to hold his breath, he dragged himself over to a bush, once more accepting its shade and cover. Suddenly, the figure appeared. A man, tall and strong, walking steadily over the hill. He was smiling, a rough beard forming, as messy as the dark hair on his head.
‘He can’t see me. He can’t fucking see me.’ Farvery thought, his teeth bared in fear. The man paused for a moment, his head slowly moving from left to right, scanning the landscape. Farvery held his breath, knowing that breathing meant dragon’s breath, and dragon’s breath was a dead giveaway. Slowly, he reached for one of the guns as the man slowly approached, that damn smile still on his goddamn face.
The man stopped a metre away from the bush Farvery was hiding in. Farvery didn’t dare move, his hand by his side resting on his pistol. ‘Just look the other way, and I’ll blast that damn smile off of your face.’
The man shook his head and spoke. “It took a while to catch you. It wasn’t easy, you know, making sure that hole remained a hole. Your boys did a fair good job with it, but nothing’s too hard when you’re Saracen Rue.”
As the man said his name, Farvery felt his blood run cold. ‘No. No, not you. Please tell me it isn’t you.’ He’d heard of Saracen Rue. Head of the spies for the Sanctuaries, no man, no animal, no Soul had ever escaped Rue. Rue always found his targets. Always. And he’d play sick games with them. Leave them little notes to tell them that he knew they were there. He should’ve known. He should have fucking known.
“Yeah, I’ll admit, you gave a good chase and all, but you can only hide for so long, you know?” Saracen Rue shrugged, the dark, cracked leather giving him a wraith-like look in the snow. He knocked an arrow to the bow and stretched it taut, keeping it pointed at the ground. “I’m sorry about the horse. Hope, did you say? A fine name for an animal. But it’s kinda what you get for siding with Mevolent.”
Hot rage filled Farvery, and he started to raise his pistol, inch by inch, knowing how much satisfaction he’d get from seeing a bullet ruin that fucking grin.
Saracen Rue tilted his head. “But seriously though, you’re really rubbish at hide and seek.” He turned, and stared down directly at Farvery. And Farvery knew that Saracen had known he was there the whole time. “Oh dear, did you really think that would work?”
Farvery let out a sharp breath, and the bow snapped as the arrow flew and then Farvery Ditch knew nothing.

2023.03.29 18:43 HuntsInDreams Battles stink.

Oh, goodie — another sub-game card type that I can barely interact with if I don’t have creatures on the battlefield.
Any my reward if I do happen to have creatures on the battlefield? Usually another creature? Sounds like a Vehicle, with extra steps.
These should have all been flip enchantments with different triggers. Making a whole new card type to get around enchantment destruction is so, so lazy, especially since they all need ETB abilities to not be essentially unplayable in the first place.
(And this is before the migraine I imagine Vorthos players are having over ‘casting’ a spell that resolves into a ‘battle’ that then turns into a different permanent type upon concluding.)

2023.03.29 18:43 StepwiseUndrape574 Alarming GTA Online Exploit Enables Cheaters To Corrupt Accounts But A Fix Is Inbound

Rockstar Games is a studio that invokes feelings of enjoyment and feelings of ire, the latter primarily for opponents of the studio's works, often parents. That's thanks to the studio's reputation as the creator and distributor of games that often contain sexuality, violence, and swearing. That has drawn them some legal attention over the years, though the one lawyer who was usually on the crusade, Jack Thompson, is now disbarred. The issue lately, though, is that the popular Online portion of Grand Theft Auto 5, GTA Online, has a very nasty exploit crop up that can allow for remote code execution (RCE).
The exploit can allow cheaters to remotely add, remove, and modify stats. It could also permanently corrupt the data on another player's account. Any of these issues, in turn, means that Rockstar's systems could permanently ban or delete an innocent player's account on GTA Online.
Just modifying the games files is bad enough, but some say that this RCE could potentially allow for code execution at the system level. The issue is has created so much concern that the current advisement by the community for PC gamers is to either ensure a certain firewall rule is in place, or just not play at all. We'd opt for the later. If, for some reason, your game data does get corrupted, though, there is a fix. Find the "Rockstar Games" folder on your PC's Documents folder and delete it. The files should refresh upon reloading the game.
Rockstar was made aware, rather rapidly, thanks to the subreddit for the game and are working on a fix. This has prompted the Rockstar Support Twitter to make a post indicating a Title Update is coming to GTA Online. The company has even posted a job listing on LinkedIn for a Cheat Software Analyst to add to its staff.

As the Tweet says, if you feel you have been affected by cheaters, make sure you contact Rockstar Support. We're hoping this doesn't take too much of Rockstar's attention from from Grand Theft Auto 6, because we're pretty excited for it with all the leaks so far. Still, an RCE exploit is a big concern, and resolving it should be of the highest priority.

2023.03.29 18:43 Thegreenleggy Using Set Parameters with Drop Downs/Filters to fill in data in other cells

Bear with me because I imagine this is a very straightforward solution and I know this exists but I am just a little too dumb to maybe figure it out. I had a lengthy conversation with 'Bard' and their solution was to upsell into the Google Cloud Platform to get the Sheets API client, and I just think that might be a little too much for this situation.
A little background on what I am trying to do here...
Ideally, it would work something like this.
  1. Select the location from a drop-down
    1. Location 1 or Location 2
  2. Select the level of play from that location type
    1. As seen in the first picture of the link below
  3. The associated fee will automatically populate
    1. This will be selected from the fee schedule in the second picture.
    2. I am still working on this, but the more important information is already entered/pictured
https://imgur.com/a/J6CiLm9
I know there is a way to do this, but I for the love of me could not figure out how to search for it properly. I was trying to think of this as a multi-stepped IFTTT command, "IF" I enter "THIS" Location and "THIS" Level of play, "THEN" I will get a fee output of "THAT," however the more I searched along the lines of "IFTTT Google Sheets Command" the deeper I went looking in the wrong direction for this, and more into home automation... something that was interesting to me but not my solution to this problem.

2023.03.29 18:43 PeacepipePenny UPDATE: Therapy difficulties (My wife has changed a lot since we lost our baby)

I feel obligated to write this and continue updating people here because of the many kind responses and genuine attempts at offering advice and support.
My (26M) wife (29F) and I were supposed to be attending couples therapy together yesterday evening. We were lucky enough to have been able to get an appointment so soon. I was anticipating not being able to get in with a couples therapist for at least another two weeks, but we lucked out and were able to get one this week. My wife and I were supposed to meet each other there after I get off of work and out of class, and then go get dinner afterwards.
The appointment is at 6:30. I get out of class at 6:00, hustle across town to get there, still show up 3 minutes late, expecting her to already be there (she loves being places early) and I didn't notice her car in the parking lot. I figure it's whatever, this is a business park with a lot of parking spaces, she's definitely here, she promised me this morning she would be here, and I go into the lobby, talk to reception, and ask about seeing this doctor. Doctor's in, but my wife definitely is not.
Okay, no big deal, she's probably just late, because traffic is awful in this horrible nightmare city, so I call her, and it rings all the way through, which is kind of weird. Wait another ten minutes, no call back, and I try again, still nothing. I wait another five minutes, and now it doesn't even ring, like she turned her phone off. So obviously, the appointment winds up not happening, and I'm worried about the safety and well-being of my wife, because it's not like her to not return my calls, or to be late to stuff/skip appointments without notification. Her anxiety errs more on the "I have to be super punctual" type of anxiety.
So I head home, and lo and behold, my wife's car is in the parking lot of our complex. I head in the apartment, and she's in our bed, just watching porn on the TV and masturbating. Apparently that's what she's been up to all day while I've been at work and at school, trying to provide for us. And she was so nonchalant about it too, like it's the most natural thing in the world for her to be doing at that time.
Obviously I'm a little shocked. I'm not a porn guy, I think it's actually super unhealthy and overall does more harm to individuals psychologically than any good that empty instant sexual gratification can do. I don't think watching porn while in a relationship is cheating, but I don't love it. She and I will be having that conversation later, and her watching porn isn't what I'm really upset about right now anyways.
It's the fact that of all the reasons to blow off our appointment with a couples therapist to help her cope with all the shit that's been going on lately with the loss of our daughter and everything related to that, hers is because she was too busy watching some other chick get railed in a gangbang.
I get that she's not in a good place, and she hasn't been well mentally or emotionally for months now.
I get that it's affected her decision making.
I get that going and seeing therapists and doctors and doing that whole thing is scary for her and not something that she has much desire to put herself through, even though she understands that it's probably exactly where she needs to be.
I get that she's bored at home after having taken a sabbatical from her job.
I get that her hormones have been entirely out of wack since January and that sex just helps her not feel so terrible all the time.
I get that she was basically alone when we lost our daughter and that the way she lost our baby is a million times worse than the way I lost our baby.
I understand all of that.
But I still have to go to work so we can eat and pay our bills and rent, and come home and get yelled at for putting the dishes in the dishwasher the wrong way or whatever, and then not get any sleep at night because we're up till 2 in the morning because she got horny and will cry for hours if I don't do it. If that's the way life is till we can beat this thing together, then that's the way it is and I can tough it out for her sake. But the absolute least that she can do is show up when she's agreed to show up so that we CAN beat her depression, so that she CAN get better and be well again.
So I stayed at a friend's place last night, and I think I am crashing on his couch again tonight. My wife has called 6 times, and texted 90 times, and it went from asking if I'm ever coming back, to begging me to just come back, to rants that I haven't read about how sorry I'm going to be, back to begging me to come home. I made the mistake of answering one of the calls, and when I tried to explain that I'll come home when I'm ready to come home, and that I still love her and still want to be with her, that I'm just really hurt and upset and need space, she screamed at me like I have never, ever in my entire life been screamed at before, about how I'm probably cheating on her right now, and how I've abandoned her and about how dare I. "How dare you" was repeated a lot.
I don't really know what my criteria is for feeling ready to go back is either. I think at first it was when I felt like she was genuinely ready to talk, and not just to yell or have a meltdown, but then I remembered that fuck, she and I have already talked about this, and that didn't do anything. I think I'll call her when I get off of work, and give her the ultimatum of actually going to therapy, or a facility, or just anything that's a step in the right direction, or our relationship might have to be put on hold until she gets everything figured out.

This Bill was written by u/mg9500 on behalf of the Scottish National Party.
Opening Speech
Presiding Officer, this bill aims to radically reform Scotland’s aviation taxation in order to stress several environmentally friendly principles.
This bill aims to destroy the viability of domestic flights within the CTA with the exception of the PSO routes within Scotland. This is an entirely true statement. These flights should not exist from an environmental standpoint and there is no justification for them but this Parliament does not yet have the competency to ban such flights. This de facto ban is therefore the most appropriate solution.
Elsewhere, this bill rectifies an issue with the current APD regime - as flight distance extends from Scotland, travelling by plane becomes more essential, therefore an environmental levy will not necessarily succeed in reducing passenger numbers as the alternatives (if they even exist) will be increasingly less desirable. Therefore flight distance and taxation due should become inversely correlated as this bill proposes.
Separately, this tidies up some current issues with the operation of APD as things stand, such as clarifying that ADT will only be due on departure from Scotland, not arrival. This bill also removes age related exemptions and modifications depending on the class of travel, as what we are trying to cut, emissions, are unaffected by either of these two matters.

Voting on this item of Business ends with the close of Business on April 1st, at 10 pm BST.

I have tried using CORSAIR, and other ram but I keep having the same issue. My motherboard can supposedly run 64gb of ddr4 memory at speeds of 3466. I’m not exactly a pc guy so any help would be great.

2023.03.29 18:42 clockworkrevolution 2001 Honda Stalling When Taking off From Stop (Intermittent)

Hello, figured I'd put this issue I'm having out here, in case anyone has encountered it before. Google is popping up with multiple lines to pursue, and I'm hoping to narrow it down.
Issue:
Twice now, across around a 3 month time frame, I have had my 2001 Honda Accord (4cyl) stall out when I try to take off after stopping at a red light. The dash lights come on, gauges go down to zero, and engine dead. Both times, I've put on my hazards, put the car in park, and shut off the ignition, before trying to restart.
The first time it happened, the car cranked, but didn't start at first, so I shut off all my climate controls, wipers (it was raining) and headlights, waited 10 seconds, then tried again, with it then starting and driving fine the rest of the day.
Second time (this morning), it stalled again, so I followed all the steps I did the first time, though turned all the controls/lights off first before trying to start. The car wouldn't start after three tries, so I prepared to get out and push it further to the side of the road. I ended up having to wait for a break in the traffic (cars were using the left turn lane beside me to get around my car), so I decided to try starting it again and it finally restarted. Went the rest of my way to work (a little over 5km distance, straight road, speed of about 50-60 km/h, did not have to stop at any lights again) with no problem.
A very similar issue has cropped up before this (very, very intermittently) where the car would feel like it's stalling, but before I could even lift my foot off the accelerator, it would go again. All my gauges would drop to zero, the lights would blink and the car would feel like it's slowing, but then it would go back to normal. The whole experience would be maybe 1-2 seconds at most. This issue happened maybe a total of 3 times, sometimes when going after a stop, once when taking a slight turn over train tracks, and once when driving (was going maybe around 30 km/h). There would be no other issues when driving, and it'd be months of fine driving before it'd happen again.
There doesn't seem to be any common denominator across the incidents (other than being stopped, though it could just be a coincidence), such as weather conditions, how long I'd been driving for that day, how long I'd been stopped for, etc.
Car info:
2001 Honda Accord (4cyl), with just over 272,000 km. Has no catalytic converter or O2 sensors (was stolen in Dec. 2021, just has a straight pipe welded in place). Was quoted just over $1000 to repair, but my dad brought up the fact that I paid only $3000 for this car and have already spent $2000 on a new transmission (done 5 years ago) and $800 on a cooling system repair (2 years ago), so was like "how much more do you want to pump into it?".
Car starts fine in the mornings, fluid levels are all in range, air filter replaced in October. Daytime Running Lights do not work (bulbs are fine, I suspect a wiring issue, as they have turned on by themselves once or twice, but I haven't been able to track a possible short). Distributor, spark plugs and wires have all been replaced in the last 2-3 years. Oil changes are done pretty consistently at around 5,000 km (sometimes a little oveunder, as I have it done at the same time as my Dad does the changes on my parent's vehicles). Car has otherwise been quite reliable for the ~7+ years I've been driving it (got it at about 100,000 km or so).

2023.03.29 18:41 CatrinaPurrBox fanvue payout withdrawal issues

I am placing this post directly into my profile instead of subreddits because It can not be deleted or removed by other users/mods/bots while still being discoverable in reddit search bar. This is for the benefit of future creators since I couldn't find any posts online or within reddit in appropriate forums so that has led me to believe maybe they are being taken down by fanvue management team including bots/mods, because I came across them in passing in past but could not relocate them. Although there is the possibility of users removing their posts after problem resolves and funds arrive in bank. I will not be deleting this post once problem resolves. I will leave this post on my profile with any updates or screenshots if applicable down in the comments so creators know what to expect should they encounter this themselves. Other fanvue users experiencing this may also leave experiences in comments below for future users since authorized channels may be censored or curated to portray a controlled public image.
So let's get into it...
I started a fanvue account around valentine's day 2023. Was super easy to sign up verify and add banking info along with super easy to upload content and create and schedule posts and messages. Onlyfans took a month of effort and still had to keep reverifying me and reconnecting banking info that I never actually did get my site up and running. It was such an awful platform for some reason and was not very user friendly and my launch date had already passed. After a month I gave up found fanvue and within hours I was up and running. Now I know fanvue doesn't really have a lot of creators or users but I'm a firm believer that if they want you they will come to where you are. So I didn't look back no regrets fanvue or bust.
After a month+ I decided to request my first payout withdraw. Keep in mind they boast that you get faster payout with Cosmo specifically not banks but I still chose bank cuz I don't mind it taking a lil longer. But the time they have taken Is beyond what is listed in contract you sign. My first payout withdraw was requested March 14 today is March 29th. Today is the 11th business! day! The transfer status on site stated payment was "pending" until today, this morning it changed and now says "processed". So I logged into my bank and nothing had been deposited.
Customer support is really poor. It's basically a third party ai chat bot that requires you setup an account to interact with and when that bot can not solve your problem by recommending article it asks you to input name and email for email support bot contact you telling you to contact fanvue support via telegram app or Twitter app. They also sent me a couple emails waiving there 20% cut for 24hours on any new purchases and another one stating rest of March. Along with an apology for extended delays saying it may take another 15 business days to resolve. Hoping it doesn't take another 15 business day to receive my funds and hope I actually receive my funds. I may need to create another channel elsewhere if this turns out to be their stardard payout time.

2023.03.29 18:41 Fox-light713 issue with restoring game icue profile

So with corsair icue and the default 3rd party setting in division2, I like how the lighting is linked to stuff happening in game when the setting is on. However the other day I checked out the lighting profile from corsairs icue profiles for division2 and linked it to the game launch like I do with cyberpunk2077 (ended up being a generic orange/white not linked to in game events). I didn't like it so I deleted the profile, however afterwards when I launched the game again and turned the in game 3rd party icue setting on it was the generic orange/white from corsair and not the one from division2 that is linked to in game events.
Any help would be great to get the division2 game profile icue back would be great. I like how it was linked to in game events.

2023.03.29 18:41 ColdBlackWater You say ghost; me? time slip

Back to the moment before the very moment of his death: asking for help; at last gasp, trying to mitigate; trying to explain.
(Long ago when the river police fished suicides out of the Thames, it was accepted truth which of them had died for love, and which of utter despair. The former changed their minds mid-stream, as it were, and their fingers were shredded from clawing at bridge abutments or debris in the water to try and save themselves; the latter were past hope, past care, and willed themselves to sink, unmarked, like the stones with which they filled their pockets.)

One experience I had was when I was living in a very small one-room apartment with a friend. We were still teenagers and had just moved out of home and had single beds on either side of the room.
I couldn't sleep one night and was laying awake. I wanted to put the light on and read but I didn't want to be inconsiderate to my friend.
The moonlight was fairly strong in the room and I could see a shadow approach the side of my bed.
It had a male energy and he crouched down over me and was trying to say something to me but I could not understand what he was saying.
I sat up and yelled at my friend to turn the light on; the poor girl nearly jumped out of her skin, but I was beyond being polite at that stage.
The next day we were chatting to a neighbor and he said that the previous tenant of the apartment was a young guy who had killed himself in there.
We moved out not long after that.

2023.03.29 18:40 kaariina How to refill Vyvanse during 3 month move to CA?

I’m currently living in TN for college, where I see my provider once a month, am on Vyvanse 30mg and Buspar 7.5mg (yay anxiety)
Per regulations for the state and city plus the providers’ rules, I can’t receive my Vyvanse prescription unless I see my provider once every 2 months minimum in-person, which with my summer schedule puts me in the middle of June for flying in here. I would be fine with this, but CA will not honor a prescription from TN at all (or any out of state prescription, for that matter)
However, I’m spending my summer in California (San Francisco) working in my dream opportunity and hoping to turn it into my full-time job. I’m extremely nervous about being unable to find a provider period, let alone one that will: a) take me for a short period of time for a temporary move b) will fill my prescription with no issues c) be covered by my insurance (which is originally based in IL since that’s my home state – just to add some fun complications to this) Being unmedicated for the summer is a last last resort.
My current provider’s best suggestion was finding someone in CA. Hence, I’m here looking for advice from anyone who lives in the area/knows more about CA laws than I do, or has had to do something equally fun.
Any help appreciated!!

2023.03.29 18:39 thehallsofmandos Fighting a crisis

Without going into details on the specific action, I've had a habit in the last few years that I'm not especially proud of. It's a little bit more involved than just fap. The problem is now I have a lot of time away from home and opportunities arise and it's just so damn difficult to fight. Just like any other addiction all the voices telling me no seem to die away right before but then I have a lot of remorse afterwards. I literally sat in a parking lot committed to do something about an hour ago, but I didn't. I drove away and is proud as I feel right now there is a drum beat in my head telling me to turn around and go back. This urge is so strong and I just need to let someone know that I'm fighting this. I have reasons of my own to fight it, but in the end I don't want something like this to have so much power over me.

2023.03.29 18:39 TeaBooksFall Success (for now) defending complete street

A few weeks ago I posted an article about citizens in my small New England city turning out to defend the presence of bike lanes in our downtown, in reaction to some resident/motorist pushback and a ballot initiative to remove the lanes. At the following meeting the City Council halted that measure and put it into "limbo," and finally last night with a couple more Councilors changing their vote they were able to take a vote to put it to rest. In other words, the bike lanes get to stay after what initially looked to be a certain city-wide referendum on removing the lanes.
I don't mean to share here as part of a victory lap, in rural regions like ours there's obviously some role for cars (I still need one for now to commute), but I do think this shows that even in small cities that some would write off as "back country" there's hope to right the balance that has overwhelmingly been tipped in favor of cars for so long.. that this issue isn't just for people in big metros. Citizens just have to show up in numbers and be willing to testify.
I feel grateful, knowing that in many other cities our size it's gone the other way and easily could have here too if we'd been complacent. Thank you all for offering a space where I can remind myself that I'm not alone or crazy for thinking that something is broken about what we grew up thinking was "normal" and that a better way is within reach for many who want it.

2023.03.29 18:39 canelaaquarius Mania? Undiagnosed bipolar? Psychosis?

Hi all,
I’m going to try and keep this precise but it’s hard to get all the information in here without missing out important stuff.
In September 2022, my mum started taking SAMe supplement. I had been taking it since October 2021 (on and off) and it had worked for me; I suffer from chronic anxiety and panic attacks, as well as OCD. My mum decided to take it to combat her low mood as well as to help her knee: it states online that it’s good for joints. Anyway, not even a week after she started the dose, she started to exhibit very odd behaviour such as: insomnia, loss of appetite, short fuse, aggression and high energy bursts. For some reason, we didn’t think anything of it. Then from October to beginning of December my mum wasn’t taking same supplement, as it had ran out and the pills are delivered from the States so they took two months to arrive.
Flash to middle of December; my mum has started taking SAMe again and is not exhibiting the same behaviour as September but this time way worse, to the point where I wanted to move out, it was so bad. She was literally in Mania for 3 weeks. She barely slept or ate. She was in a manic episode for the first time ever. We ended up finding articles online about people who had gone into psychosis because of this supplement and she immediately came off of it. Within 3 weeks, she was back to “normal”.
Now, March 2023, the problems have started again yet this time it’s different and this time, she isn’t on SAMe anymore. She went on holiday for 5 weeks and returned seemingly normal, however after being back for 7 days she’s suddenly not eating, not getting out of bed, not showering, not answering the phone and almost acting as if she’s loosing the will to live. She’s also having delusions in my opinion, as she believes that someone she met on holiday has poisoned her or brainwashed her??? It’s all she talks about and is disregarding the fact that she’s probably going through psychosis again due to the fact that she didn’t get therapy or medication after her manic episode in December. My whole family is in a panic, as my mother is the life and party of the family. For the first time in her life she’s acting as if she doesn’t want to be here anymore and that she thinks this is it?? This has all happened in the space of 18 days and my life has been turned upside down. She’s currently at her parents house but no one knows what to do. She’s too scared to even see a therapist and I feel like I’m loosing my mind trying to get her to realise that she needs help. Does it sound like she needs mood stabilisers after her manic episode? Could this be manic depression? Does she need antidepressants? I’m a little worried about medication as I know she had an adverse side effect to SAMe which mimics SSRI’s. Also two family members have had terrible side effects with Sertraline before, so im not sure what kind of medication she can take. She’s also extremely into holistic medicine, so it can be hard to get her to take something like a prescribed antidepressant!!!
Please give any advice at all, as I’m struggling. We are from the UK by the way

2023.03.29 18:39 therealtimftw BSoD Crashes, Random Restarts followed by USB Overcurrent Detected??? Need help figuring out which Component is bad.

Hi all,
I have a puzzling situation. My gaming PC that I built is crashing when I'm playing games and when I close out of games. The crashes come in the form of BSoDs. The most recent stop codes I've been seeing are "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" and "irql_not_less_or_equal" with the ntoskrnl.exe failing. I will note that the crashes only occur when the system is under load (playing a game). I ALSO noticed that my CPU temps under load get EXTREMELY hot, as in mid-90s hot (using the stock CPU cooler), so I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it.
Here comes the weird part...
After the PC attempts to restart, it fails the reboot because of an error screen that reads "Over Current Has Been Detected On Your USB Device!! System will shutdown after 15 seconds to protect your mainboard!!" It will persist after multiple attempts to restart, but after 5-10 minutes of being turned off, I'm able to turn my PC back on.
My Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x (no OC)
GPU: EVGA RTX 2070 XC (no OC, latest drivers)
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR4 @ 3000 MHz (no OC or XMP Profiles that I know of)
Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI (I suspect this could be the culprit, as I purchased it as an open-box unit from Microcenter back in 2020, and I remember having to manually bend a pin on the USB 3.0 header on the board)
PSU: Corsair RM1000x 80+ Gold (purchased at the end of 2018)
To add more context:
Other odd happenings are that my PC rarely just randomly restarts while using it. The restarts don't happen too often, but there have been multiple instances where I'd walk away from my PC and come back to find it restarted and everything I had open was closed.
I think I ran a memtest a few months ago that stated hardware problems were detected. I would immediately think my RAM is the culprit, but why would that cause the USB Current Overflow?

So bottom line is that I suspect it's my motherboard and possibly my RAM, but before I spend any money, I would really like to make sure I replace the correct parts. I do want to upgrade, but I need to know where to start. If anyone needs more info/context, please feel free to ask. If someone could please point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.

2023.03.29 18:39 Fox-light713 Division2 default icue profile issue
