2023.06.07 05:03 Sad-Personality8614 Any mazda sales people here?
I put a deposit down for the mazda cx-50 and the dealer promised me to deliver the car by May 30th. However, now he has been going back and forth saying that the car is yet to “land” in his other dealership. He will then ship the car to our town. He is unsure if the car will make it to him even by the end of this month. This for me is very unprofessional and makes me feel something is fishy. He has offered me my deposit back but I dont want to do that because it was a great deal.
I do have the VIN for the car and the window sticker. Is there any way I or someone here can help me track it?
TIA

2023.06.07 04:50 danielmatthew97 Subaru Outback Onyx, Mazda CX-5 S Premium, Mazda CX-50 Preferred Plus, or Kia Sportage X-Line AWD?
I'm in the initial process of buying a new car, and I've narrowed my options down to these three cars. The Outback has been the car I've had my eye on for the longest time, but the Onyx prices have skyrocketed in the past couple of months! I thought I was crazy when I saw on the Subaru website that it starts at over $36,000 now, when I could have sworn it used to be in the $33k range (I looked it up and was correct -- they did jack up the price for it in the past couple of months! By three whole thousand dollars!) So now I can find a Mazda CX-5 or a Kia Sportage for around $33k, and the CX-50 would be a tiny bit more from what I'm seeing. Out of the three, I will say the Outback is my favorite (not by a ton though), but I really am finding it hard to justify the extra $$$.
I'm an avid skier, so AWD is a must for me (which all of these have obviously), but I'm also really into camping, hiking, fishing, and just going up into the mountains in general. I've seen and test drove all of these cars with the exception of the Kia (went to the dealership today but they didn't have an X-Line on the lot, so I sat in a different Sportage just to get the feel of the interior). They all impress me. Ultimately, I want a reliable vehicle -- I'm coming from a 2017 Toyota RAV4 so my standards for reliability are high (I would seriously look into another RAV4 but you can't find them anywhere!). I also want something that is well suited for the outdoors and the snow. What would y'all recommend?

2023.06.07 04:30 KubrickBeard [S] [USA-IN] Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 (EF Mount), Canon RF 50mm F1.8 STM
Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 for Canon EF - $900 obo + Shipping
Canon RF 50mm F1.8 STM - $120 obo + Shipping
Pictures.
The Tamron is in great shape. Fully functional and looks practically brand new. It still has the original tripod collar and both front and rear lens caps. The lens has a front UV filter so the actual front element is spotless. The focusing is fast and smooth on my Canon RP (I used canon's EF to R adapter) and the pictures came out incredible.
The stabilization on this lens is incredible. I was able to get usable shots down to 1/10 of a second in a pinch. I would love to keep this one but I've got to sell it to fund another hobby lol.
The Canon was purchased from Roberts Camera in Indy in practically brand new condition. It was used but you wouldn't be able to tell. I've got the original box and lens caps. I bought this lens just to have a native RF lens to use on my RP, but I mostly use my old film lenses with an adapter. Also selling this one to fund my other hobby.
I am located in Lafayette Indiana, but I am in Indianapolis frequently. I'd be happy to meet around either city if someone is local.
I am willing to ship both lenses, shipping cost will vary depending on distance, but it will probably be around $20-25.

2023.06.07 00:53 Forward_Survey290 Ac replacement costs?
I bought a used 2016 Mazda cx-3 about a year ago. Last summer the ac worked great. When I went to turn it on this summer it didn’t work at all. I bought an ac recharge and tried to recharge it. It showed as completely empty I filled it up to where it was in the green. However it did not kick on. I brought it to the Mazda dealership that I bought the car from a year ago and they inspected it and said my condenser had a hole it it and that my evaporator had a leak. They said they needed to replace both parts and they did not think fixing the condenser alone would solve the problem. They were able to recharge the system and the ac worked for about a week and a half before it stopped. They said the condenser + evaporator + ac recharge would be $3,400. My coworker recommended his friends shop. I took it to him and he said that he thinks (99% sure) the condenser is the problem not the evaporator. He will replace the condenser with an off market one and recharge the system for $750-$850. He said he has a guy he buys parts from locally so I don’t need to wait for him to order it and I can just bring it in tomorrow and it will take two days. He says that the evaporator would be around $1200-$1500 if it comes to that. Is all this normal? What would you do? Photos attached of the UV dye at the dealership on the condenser and evaporator drain. submitted by Forward_Survey290 to mazda [link] [comments]
2023.06.06 23:30 khoafraelich789 GM To Pause Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra Production At Fort Wayne Plant
https://preview.redd.it/6zhjhs1qf63b1.png?width=720&format=png&auto=webp&s=41af9ef7287aacf6fad17ef937d942317ac5a17a GM plans to pause production of the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks for two weeks at one of its truck plants, starting in late March. The pause will take place at GM’s Fort Wayne Assembly plant located in Indiana, and will begin on the week of March 27th, 2023. The production pause is intended to “help maintain optimal inventory levels” according to Cherry Weiland, the Fort Wayne facility’s Assistant Plant Director. GM wants to “proactively” keep inventory within certain limits, The Detroit News reports, targeting a 50 to 60 days supply that roughly matches the 60 days supply preferred by the auto industry before the COVID-19 pandemic. Chevrolet slightly exceeded this inventory optimum in December 2022. Production and shipment continued improving during that month, while sales remained basically flat. As a result, inventory at dealerships climbed to just above 60 days. During December, it was noted new vehicle supply rose 66 percent year-over-year, but sales increased just 2 percent. Analysts noted this would lead to growth in incentives and discounts to move new vehicles off lots faster. New vehicle prices and interest rates are high while used car prices are dropping, causing an exodus of customers from new vehicle sales as they look for a thriftier used option. GM CFO Paul Jacobson stated in the January 31st earnings report that The General is actively managing production to match up supply with demand. A backlog of unsold Chevy Silverado truck inventory is currently adding up with 100 days supply reported at the end of January 2023. The two-week pause will give demand to catch up with supply and clear out some of the accumulated Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks. GM’s three other full-size truck facilities in Flint, Michigan, Canada, and Mexico will continue operating and producing vehicles while Fort Wayne Assembly is shut down. The Chevy Silverado is the top seller among the Bow Tie’s nameplates. GM anticipates $10.5 billion to $12.5 billion in adjusted earnings for 2023 despite slackening demand, with inventory management such as the two-week idling of Fort Wayne Assembly already accounted for in its financial forecasts. February sales volume should be sustained by fleet sales according to some analysts. Source: gmauthority submitted by khoafraelich789 to CarInformationNews [link] [comments]
2023.06.06 17:06 Z-24Osmium Landlord changes utility billing in breach of lease agreement?
Location: Indiana
Long post, trying to give all information, including communications and relevant contract sections.
In short our leasing agency recently announced their intent to switch utility (water, sewage, and trash) to a RUB (Ratio Utility Billing) system where each tenet will pay for utilities based on their use of said utilities. Previously we were paying a flat rate of $65/month for these utilities.
Relevant Communications
Email from Property Manager 6/5/23
Dear Valued Resident(s,)
We will be switching from billing a flat rate for utility services to using a RUBs system. Please read this letter carefully, to familiarize yourself with the upcoming changes and what to expect.
What is RUBs?
RUBs stands for Ratio Utility Billing. The system is used to calculate residents' monthly utility costs based on the actual utility bills.
Why switch from Flat Rate Billing to RUBs?
Using RUBs allows the company to ensure we are charging residents fairly. By using a flat rate billing system, there is no way to tell if residents are being billed correctly. Flat rate billing can result in residents being under or overcharged for their utilities.
What to Expect:
Residents receive monthly invoices for their total charges via email and mail.
The invoice will include online account information, to allow residents to see their upcoming bill before the monthly invoice is received. Residents can also contact Conservice directly for any questions about their bill.
The 1st invoice will be sent during the last week of July. The invoice will include utility charges for June’s usage and payment will be due 8/1.
Flat-rate utility charges will still be due for June and July. Credits will be issued on the flat rates paid in June and July during the month residents are billed for June and July’s usage. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
----------------------
Follow up to the question "What utilities are you referring to?" Email from 6/5/23

Relevant Contract Clauses
Note: Our current lease (A) ends 7/31/23 and have signed a new lease (B) to 7/31/24. From the property managers email it seems we are having these charges apply over June (this month) and July, therefor, I will be including lease clauses from both year's documents where there are relevant changes.

Tenant shall pay all costs of hook-ups and connection fees and security deposits in connection with providing utilities to premises during the term of the Rental Agreement. 2023.06.06 07:24 t8er100 Audi A8 Quattro or NA Miata?
Two cars I have been looking at recently are a 1999 Audi A8 Quattro and a 1993 Mazda Miata. I like both of them for different reasons but I’m split on which one I should put more effort into buying. The Quattro has 90k miles and has had two owners. It has also been recently inspected by an Audi dealership and everything supposedly looked good. The Miata has about 110k miles and looks pretty good, a few blemishes but nothing I’m worried about. It even comes with a matching hard top. I really like both cars and they are both the same price at $5000. I have a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria as well right now so this isn’t a matter of which one is more practical as an everyday vehicle or anything, just which would be the better deal and long term investment at $5000. Let me know what you all think.

2023.06.06 05:58 happyludicolo Used Car Market - Wait or Plunge
Is now a good time to dip into the used car market? Ive been looking at Mazda, Toyota, Kia on the dealership websites etc. almost all of them are charging 30k for a used model (2-5 years old).
I have the money saved up and would want to buy the car outright, but I am honestly debating on whether its worth waiting a bit longer just because the prices seem so inflated right now. It sucks not having a car :(. I can make do now with car rentals whenever I need to - corporate discount gives me rentals at 36 dollars per day so I usually take a rental on the weekends for a day or two
I keep waiting for the prices to go down, but its almost as if it never will. Should I wait, or should I just accept defeat and buy one?

2023.06.05 20:50 Gabbisan Transmission replacement
So I’m having my transmission replaced in my 2016 Miata. It’s a manual, and I blew the last one. Does anyone have any suggestions for things to do? Transmission fluid suggestions? 2023.06.05 20:24 berXrup CX5 Dealer maintenance costs
I have a 2018 Mazda CX5 with 67k miles. I wanted to get a inspection done for preventative maintenance reasons by a Mazda technician, after the inspection they said they noticed a leak near the oil pan and said they would have to run diagnostics to find the issue. I think it could be just a sloppy job by the oil change place I used but was concerned enough to make an appointment with them. After seeing their prices and recommendations for other services that are not part of the owner manual service interval guidelines I decided to seek out a reputable mechanic to take a look. Just wanted thoughts on prices of service (in central coast of CA) and how dealerships are seemingly always looking to rip you off on maintenance costs. Or am I being a bit extra by doubting them ? submitted by berXrup to CX5 [link] [comments]
2023.06.05 19:42 drogods Car is from Indiana. Is this too much rust? 2004, 160k miles, dealer wants 17k. Full service history at the same dealership. Same owner since 2006.
2023.06.05 19:15 Badennnnn Looking to purchase a CX-5 Select. Any input on this price?
Buying my first new car. Pretty settled on the select trim cx5.
This seems like a decent deal to me. Price is 900 below MSRP. The gov fees is tag/title.
They only offered me $3800 on my 2015 optima with 136,000 miles. Carmax and Kia offered 5K. They said they could add a few hundred but they weren’t thinking 5K. Selling out right im sure I could get $6k or $7k but not sure if worth the headache?
I am also considering taking advantage of the 2.9% for 36months Mazda is currently doing. They haven’t ran my credit but the 7.9% for 60mo sounds ridiculous.
This is a no haggle dealership. Any thoughts on if they would throw in the roof rails and other small add on for free?
Sorry to ask possibly obvious questions, but I’m a little overwhelmed with all of the options to weigh.

2023.06.05 15:15 kbjone It's that time again...
While it's not quite the Stanley Cup Playoffs, college baseball's postseason is one hell of a trip with all kinds of twists, turns, and plenty of teams to point and laugh at from the first pitch of each regional to the glories of Omaha. (It's baseball, OF COURSE the crown jewel would be in the middle of... well, not quite nowhere, but close enough. As an LSU fan, it's that proverbial pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.)
-Without further adieu, let's cut to the chase with our first batch of eliminations. These teams are like those opening jobbers on Ninja Warrior, the ones who slip off the first obstacle and end up all soaked.
Northeastern, Florida A&M, Arizona, Lipscomb, Tulane, Eastern Illinois, Army, San Jose State, Maine, UNC-Wilmington, Oklahoma State*, Ball State, Auburn*, Wright State, Central Connecticut, and Nicholls State: Pack your shit up, and go home, you are ELIMINATED from the NCAA College Baseball Championship.
Now, why do two of those teams have stars by their name? Because not only did they lose two straight... they did so as the host team! #13 Auburn suffered the indignity of losing to Penn in their opener before getting sent home by Southern Miss. #11 Oklahoma State one-upped them by losing to ORAL ROBERTS... then getting Malcolm X curbstomped by DALLAS BAPTIST 18-4.
-With the jobbers out of the way, this next batch of teams comes up on the chopping block. One win is better than zero, but the end result is the same.
So... Maryland, UConn, Santa Clara, Clemson*, Sam Houston, Vanderbilt*, Oklahoma, Cal State Fullerton, UL-Lafayette, Rider, Washington, West Virginia, Samford, North Carolina, NC State, and Troy, you have been ELIMINATED. Kindly pack your stuff up and return home... unless you have a star by your name, as you're already home. And possibly being lynched by angry fans.
Once more, we get to point and laugh at a pair of teams. #4 Clemson, #6 Vanderbilt, you had visions of hosting Super Regionals dancing in your heads. And then you got concussed by Charlotte and Xavier after understandable losses to Tennessee (now officially Clemson's daddy) and Oregon. Go stand in the LOL corner and think about what you've done.
-Despite Mother Nature taking a piss on several regionals, even more teams have met their 2023 season's final resting place in the regional finals. Considering it takes two wins just to get that far, there's little dishonor in bowing out here. Usually. For this step, we'll give the losers a little extra blurb to honor their achievements this season. And there's still quite a few regionals wrapping up, so some TBDs are sprinkled in, they'll get their own post in the responses once they get their final marching orders.
-George Mason: If only you could have avoided the sudden juggernaut that is #1 Wake Forest. Outscored 27-1 in your two losses to them... but at least you're not Maryland who gave up three TDs in their one brush with death. -TBD 2: Florida survives becoming the top LOL by beating Texas Tech in the return match, today's the rubber decider between the two teams. -TBD 3: TCU holds advantage after beating #3 Arkansas 20-5, the Razorbacks now need to dig deep and win two straight to advance. -Charlotte: A very honorable departure, any time we get to point and laugh at Clemson is a WIN for everyone. Godspeed you crazy bastards, as Tennessee was just better than you. -TBD 5: All the rain in Baton Rouge, we're just getting to the regional final now with #5 LSU holding advantage over Oregon State. Personally: DON'T BLOW IT. I WILL BE MERCILESS IF YOU DO. -Xavier: Another honorable departure as you took #6 Vanderbilt down in dramatic fashion, then just had nothing left in the tank for Oregon. So be it, head home with your heads held high. -East Carolina: Meh. Being down to #7 Virginia was a death sentence, one you couldn't even delay. Oh well. -TBD 8: Another rubber match as #8 Stanford avenges an earlier loss to Texas A&M, forcing the decider back to today. My apologies to the unfortunately named Ty Uber, as your teammates picked up your starting DUD (4 runs, 5 hits, 1 out) with interest. -#9 Miami: LOL. You needed two straight to advance, and started the first game well with a 3-0 lead over Texas. And then the third inning happened. Nine runs given up, and your season is OVER. Go into the LOL Corner for your sins, and tell Clemson and Vanderbilt to stop crying for fuck's sake. -TBD 10: #10 Coastal Carolina beats Duke in their first meeting, forcing a decider this afternoon. Would be one hell of a recovery from losing your opener to winning your home regional, just one win to go. As for Duke... nobody will feel bad for you if you lose. -Dallas Baptist: Helping humiliate #11 Oklahoma State is good, and helping Oral Roberts get the "regional sweep" is even funnier. Have an honorable trip home, don't feel too bad. -TBD 12: #12 Kentucky blows Indiana out 16-6... unfortunately it still only counts as one win, offsetting your earlier 5-3 loss to them. One more game for the regional title... -TBD 13: The two teams that combined to let us all laugh at #13 Auburn once more face off in a decider, Southern Miss with momentum after beating Penn 11-2 yesterday to avoid elimination. -Iowa: Eh, #14 Indiana State had your number both times. At least you did the same to North Carolina, I guess? -Campbell: Avenging your loss to NC State will have to suffice, #15 South Carolina had no interest in losing at home. At least you scored seven? -Boston College: #16 Alabama wasn't losing in Tuscaloosa, carry on. If only Nicholls State had won that opener...
-From 64 teams, we're down to 23. Seven more will be sent home... hopefully all today, if Mother Nature can get her irregular bladder under control. Sixteen will move, or have moved, one step closer to Omaha; all that stands between them and the College World Series in Omaha is a simple best of three this coming weekend.
Just remember the most important rule of the college baseball playoffs, same as every other playoff: DON'T! GET! ELIMINATED! Or do, we all need teams to point and laugh at.

2023.06.05 07:51 OstrichPuzzleheaded5 Can y’all give me advice on mods I can do on my 2018 MAZDA3 hatch
So I’ve had my Mazda for over a year now it’s bone stock minus a tint from the dealership sitting at 102K KMs I wanna start modding it this is my first car and I don’t know much about cars. I’m thinking axleback exhaust cold air intake cold air box and some sort of tune idk where to start or the cost of installation from a mechanic since the parts alone are sitting at 1.5K and I don’t wanna spend more than 2.5K

2023.06.05 05:04 AltruisticScar Thinking of buying a Mazda but the dealership is 100+ miles away
Hi everyone,
I've been looking at buying the Mazda CX-30, but the closest dealership is over 100 miles away, I live in a ski town in Colorado. Which makes me concerned that if I have some mechanical issues I'll need to have the vehicle towed back to the dealership to get it fixed. Which recently happened to a friend of mine who owns a BMW.
I know a BMW is a lot different than a Mazda so is this a legit concern or am I fretting over nothing?
