We met in college. Instantly became close. She had a boyfriend back then and with her being older and looks much better than me, from day 1 i decided i have no chance romantically with her. Since i am extreme introvert and mentally in dark place back then enjoyed her company and she became my best friend. Even i helped her a lot and she also consider me her best friend. We are extrmely close and everyone in our college thought we are a couple.
So then college ended, covid came but we still used to talk daily all through lockdown. Then we got jobs in same city and we moved in to same appartment. We got even more close. It's used mainly for jam sessions with friends but also the occasional live set. It's intended to allow some reasonable amount of preparation of sets beforehand, but also some playability on the fly to still allow for surprises and to respond to what other players are doing.
It's working pretty well but I'm interested to get your views on whether there's anything that could be improved.
I like to keep it patched in the same config all the time so that the workflow is consistent and the wires can be channeled between the upper and lower row of modules so that they're out of the way. I use Tendrils to further improve ergonomics.
The ES9 is in there not only to integrate the modular with the laptop when I'm at home but also as a multi input sound card so I can plug in my other external gear.
Drums:
The idea behind the modular is that the Constellation and LXR together provide quite a playable drum unit with the pattern switching on the Constellation and the morphing on the LXR. The Kickain provides the kick and sidechaining for the mix send on the Performance Mixer.
Loops:
The Bitbox is used to play synced loops for things that are harder to do in modular such as longer pads and atmospheres, additional percussion, speech etc. Triggered using the touchscreen.
Synth voices:
The Dimension plus Flux and Beehive plus Freak are the two main synth voices with the Bitbox and LXR providing one more each if needed. The A-140 provides the envelopes for both the main voices.
FX:
The Ghost is the main FX processor and is on send-1 from the Performance mixer returning into the mix-in inputs on the mixer. The Golden Master is in the mixer's send loop after the Kickain and provides overall mix compression and EQ. The DVCA is used to tame the send from the mixer as it's too hot for the Kickain and causes it to clip (in a bad way).
Sequencing:
The Constellation provides triggers for the synth voices and the Varigate 4+ provides 4 channels of quantised CV. Both allow me to save patches but also tweak on the fly.
CV:
The Tetrapad plus Tete are the main CV controller to allow on the fly capture of modulation as well as hands on playability. They are routed to control the filters, wavetable position on the Dimension, timbre on the Beehive, a CV input on the BitBox, two CV inputs on the LXR and one CV input on Pam's.Pam's can be used to generate LFOs as well, scaled by the CV input so that they can be controlled from the Tetrapad.
Clock:
Most jam sessions are Ableton Link based so the ML:2 is used to provide clock and run to Pam's which then clocks the sequencers, Tete and the delay time on Ghost.
I have a load of other modules (lockdown madness) so have plenty of options to play around with but this is the best config that I've managed so far in terms of playability and fun.

As a life-long Enthroners fan (for a week now) and having attended the Enthroners-Thunder game and having watched some of RHE-FRA or RAI-RAV I don't see how low-end teams like Enthroners or Lions would ever have a chance to be a relevant player in the ELF.
They don't have the money. They don't have the appeal. They don't have the sponsors.
Fehervar will never top 2000 attendance (gentle reminder: it was 1200 on Saturday, not 1800), Prague will barely be able to reach that etc....
On the other side sone teams in Germany draw 5-digit numbers and sexy franchises like Rhein or sexy cities like Paris draw major talents (if Rhein or Paris and Fehervar knock on your door: Will you pick Fehervar)?
Long story short: If the 2023 trend of "sexy Franchises" stockpiling talent and money continues, the ELF will become a boring league and sooner or later the low-end teams will drop out.
The way out:
a) Stop expanding into areas where Football does not have a substantial local fanbase. If a location never cracked 2000-3000 this location should not even be considered.
b) Increase support for the low-end teams. The worse the team is the more options you should give them, including moving money from well-off teams to low-end teams (eg fund travels) or additional A/E-slots to keep them competitive
c) Play the hard game regarding financials. If any team overspends or bypasses the salary cap "just because they can", punish them hard

I'm not even sure such a thing exists, but my 78 year old Dad has lost quite a lot of weight recently, as he is (self admittedly!) quite lazy when it comes to cooking, and doesn't want to put effort into a big meal when it's just him.
I would happily cook meals for him, but I live in another city and don't drive.

1a. ADHD is like having 20 different storylines all going on at once in your head and you have to choose which one you will actually follow, like the main storyline, but you keep on changing storylines while they all continue so you keep missing vital steps in each and everyone of them to do (like when you have to do different tasks). You don't just see all the storylines in your head but you hear your voice speaking in all of them, about whatever it is they might be talking about. Wauw I just arrived home from an hour-walk from a friend's house, after arriving there from a barbeque at another friend's home in another city which I went towards after I got done with work. I came inside my appartment and instantly started to roll a joint and I was having the storylines-"problem" in my head and just decided to write down what was going on in my head, then decided I needed to explain myself as to why I decided to write this text, so I proceeded to type this text to explain myself. I got done working at 18u30 (6:30PM). I arrived at the barbeque at 20u30 (8:30PM), stayed there untill 12'ish (midnight), got to the friends place at 12:45, took are time to smoke a spliff (also rolled one for on the way home), left there at 1u30 AM. It's 2:50 now and I am going to go on and roll my joint, hoping I don't get distracted, like I just did...

1b. 3:03 ; got done rolling the joint, but just at the end I just thought of something; people WITHOUT ADHD, when they have to do tasks, they have one storyline with all the different tasks in a logical order, while people WITH ADHD have all the tasks as seperate storylines just going on all at once in your head so you get stuck in choosing which one you will actually do first.
1c. The amount of storylines can fluxuate, since if you "hypothetically" would be smoking a joint outside on the terrace, there is only so much stuff you could actually do, while when you are walking on the street in a big city, the storylines are endless.

Hi looking for some UL/Lightweight pack advice. I've previously used framed packs most recently Osprey Atmos 65 and looking to get smaller and lighter. Cost of checking a bag with most airlines is now £50+ each way and so I'm looking for a pack with ~50L capacity that I can take on some airplanes (BA, Virgin etc. but not RyanaiEasyjet) as carry-on. That means it needs to be packable to 56 cms length (and ~35cm x 25cm other dimensions). Even smaller framed packs like the Osprey Exos 48L usually exceed the length (eg the Exos 48 is ~59cms at is shortest length without brain).

1. I assume most frameless roll top UL packs can be made to be <55cms height by rolling the top down (obv this assumes pack not full as when I fly will not have gas, trekking poles, food etc in the pack)?
2. Any recommendations for reasonably priced framed packs that might satisfy my criteria (can the Naturehike Rock be packed to fit within cabin bag size limits of 56x36x25 - this review https://thriftyhiker.com/naturehike-rock-60l-backpack-review/ suggests dimensions of 53x26x18 which sort of answers my question but does anyone have actual experience of taking this pack as carry on? Any other framed packs besides the NH?)
3. If I set you a challenge to buy a UL/lightweight pack (framed or frameless) for long-distance hiking that was carry on compliant, between 45-60L capacity, with unlimited budget but still trying to choose something you thought was good value and comfortable, what would you choose?

TLDR: met a girl in another country. It’s the definition of a situationship, but I caught feelings, which makes me uninterested in dating other women. However I don’t want to pause my dating life for a situationship that is gonna lead nowhere, especially not because it’s long distance and we only see each other for a week every 3-4 months. TL;DR: my little sister is having a complicated and stressful transition to adulthood, i want to know what others might say to her during a time like this
apologies this is long but even if nobody reads it i had to get it all down somewhere, being the family therapist is tiring.
i’m 23 and big sister to the coolest, smartest, most gorgeous 18 yr old sister ever. our 16 ur old brother is the golden child, we both readily admit he’s way more chill and far cooler than us lol. unfortunately for my sister, she’s grown up with a pretty hard road of mental health issues, including multiple stays in behavioral hospitals, severe self harm, food restriction/anorexic tendencies, and several suicide attempts. she’s been in therapy from age 12, medicated since 13. recently she’s gotten in trouble for drinking at school and admitted to me that she’s smoking weed nearly every day. she also described to me stronger feelings of what sounds like DP/DR. if i could bear it all for her i would genuinely do it in a heartbeat.
here’s the thing. she’s got two weeks left of high school and has been working like hell to get her grades up to passing so she can graduate. she really wants this and i know she will achieve it, but school has always been hard for her so her emotions are all over the place with all this stress. it has also taken a toll on my family to help make everything happen in time for graduation—though i will say i’m proud of us all for how quickly and strongly we’ve each rallied around her despite our own plates already overflowing. we’ve been there for meetings with teachers, cops, and school admin, helped with catch-up tests, assignments, and homework, went to family therapy sessions with her reg therapist, as well as helping her thru a night of borderline alcohol poisoning… all in the past threee weeks.
tensions are kinda high with everyone because we’re all helping in so many ways to get her to the finish line (esp spicy btwn her and mom rn), and she seems to be in constant crisis about what happens next. our parents want her to live at home or on campus (20 min across town) and use the year of college they had prepaid for her when she was a child. it’s not so much about going to succeed or do well, just going to have tried it, to see if the experience is for her. she wants to move out on her own and start working immediately, but we’ve talked about how that’s not exactly feasible in our city—plus, she can’t drive yet so getting to a job is harder.
i just want her to focus on enjoying her summer, celebrate the win of graduating for a bit, then start the positive steps she says she wants to do that are good building blocks for any path, like get her license, find a part time job, practice managing her own money, etc. if she wants to keep working or try college it’s ultimately her decision and i know we will all have her back either way.
she’s just having so many struggles with purpose, identity, self image, self esteem, self confidence—more than i did, so i feel lost in guiding her… i just wish i could wave a magic wand and show her how awesome she is, how much better life gets once you’re out of the high school bubble and in a new setting. i tell her all this often but it doesn’t really stick—which i get, all that positive stuff sounded like a bunch of hooey to me at 18.

Ambient noise like conversations, doors opening, dogs barking, ships docking, large structures creaking, etc to have a zen-like immersion. Variety of shops for guns, food, clothing like Yakuza.
