• More snow expected today as the storm system responsible for our recent wintry weather moves overhead. Most additional snow amounts will be less than 2 inches, but a few spots across central Oklahoma could see up to 4 inches. Much of it will just end up in drifts.

• Per NWS Norman, snow will move southeast through the evening hours transitioning to light flurries at or around 10-11pm. Another wave is expected tomorrow though timing and impacts will greatly depend on overnight development. If possible, count on staying put tomorrow as well.

I've seen a lot of posts over the years in Oklahoma subs about our weather. Most of you I assume are used to the roller coaster that is Oklahoma weather in the spring, but for those of you who aren't, or perhaps new to the state, here are some pretty standard resources to help you understand what the impacts will be and to keep yourself safe and as anxiety free as possible.
Now some of you are KFOR fans, KOCO fans there might even be a FOX25 fan around. That's all well and fine and these are (almost) always a wonderful resource for watching live updates during an outbreak. KFOR.com, KOCO.com, News9.com and OKCFOX.com are all great ways of catching live streaming updates during severe weather for those of you who don't have basic cable. Please keep in mind there will be a slight delay to their coverage and depending on your wifi connection or cell phone reception could completely not work at all. Also, please remember that these sources are often overly dramatized, so if you're new to the state or a highly anxious person, please see the below resources.
Mobile radar apps. There are many to chose from, most of which are totally fine. If you really want the creme de la creme, download RadarScope, it's a paid app and there is a lot more information than your average person needs, however as far as NexRad radar apps go, its top of the line. Almost every storm chaser you see will be running this app. It's higher quality resolution than anything you will find.
As for 7 day forecasting, just forget about it. Oklahoma in the spring is far too volatile for anyone to know what the hell is going to happen in 7 days (unless we have a particularly stable air mass overhead), don't even think about 10-14 day predictions. They are bullshit. 3 days. That's all you really should pay attention to. If you ever see that psychedelic color based prediction blob (green is not too bad, orange is pretty scary, red/purple is bad etc.). These are often done in house by meteorologists at their respective news stations, but some the best atmospheric scientists in the world make one on NOAAs website. This is usually the best way to get a feel for what the weather will be doing over the next few days and in the event of an outbreak, I'd recommend checking it multiple times a day leading up to the weather event for the most up to date information. You can simply google "convective outlook" or click this link to familiarize yourself with the site. If you have questions, feel free to ask.
It's also recommended that you download some type of weather radio, there are many on the market to chose from most of which function perfectly fine.

Stormtracker for KOCO. He is behaving irresponsibly during every storm. Even for the drama merchants of local news weather, he is wildly over the top. He is extrapolating ANY piece of information out into the worst case scenario. Every cloud he sees is lowering. Every batch of rain could be hiding a tornado. Every lighting flash shows a cloud that could be a funnel. All of this while being positively giddy. I genuinely think he is a menace. I can't imagine being an elderly person home alone watching his histrionics.

The tributes launched off of their podiums and sprinted towards the middle of the arena, a cornucopia with 10 chests

TheMostTriggeredEmoji and Hayden walked across the forest, looking for some neato weapons
Hayden spotted a cave and yelled for his teammate to follow him inside
The cave exterior was what appeared to be mossy stone
They walked inside and Hayden put out his hand to stop Emoji
"Look at the floor" Hayden whispered
Looking down, Emoji saw a thin piece of string across the floor in front of them
Hayden turned to walk out of the cave, but Emoji stopped him now
"There could be EPIC loot here dude!"
Hayden grunted and let Emoji do his thing
"This cave seems so old, I bet the string doesn't even lead to anything now"

"See? Nothing! Probably bro-"

Emoji turned towards Hayden and began to scream

BOOM Emoji was killed by arrows. Don't step on tripwire in a dark cave, kids!

Cloak and HalfHeart stood at the edge of a dock in the oceanic zone
They spotted an island about 100 meters away in the water
"yooo let's go" Cloak said enthusiastically
"uhhhhh nahhh" HalfHeart said, not wanting to reveal to his teammate that he could not swim.
"Dude I see something shiny there we HAVE TO GO!" Cloak screamed
HalfHeart cringed with fear and walked to the edge of the dock
Cloak dove in and came back to the surface, smiling
"The water feels great man! Come in!"
HalfHeart was shaking now, absolutely terrified
HalfHeart looked down, seeing the seemingly endless ocean below him
Right as he was about to jump, he heard a shout from behind
Chylx and Gumusao were a few dozen meters behind them, approaching fast
"JUMP HALFHEART! WE NEED TO ESCAPE!" Cloak shrieked
An arrow struck on the ground next to HalfHeart, fired by Chylx
HalfHeart fell into the water from the arrow and began to sink
He sunk like he had a bag of rocks tied to him
He looked up at the surface of the water and his eyes began to close
The last thing he saw before he passed out was a hand near his face
"Your teammate is dumb" Chylx said to Cloak
"He's about to drown" Gumusao said
Cloak was mad. No one insults his teammate without him fighting back
"WELL, GUESS WHAT?!" Cloak yelled
"what" the two replied
"YOUR MOTHERS ARE GARBAGE!"
Chylx and Gumusao's jaws dropped with shock
No one had ever roasted them so hard
Chylx pulled out his dagger
"You're done, kiddo"
Cloak squeaked and began to swim away
Gumusao jumped into the water to chase him, only realizing that he too cannot swim
He began to sink, struggling to get above the water
Cloak, seeing this weakness, turned and splashed water at Gum
Gum couldn't breathe now, and he began to sink
To add insult to injury, Cloak went deeper in the water near Gum and kicked him in the stomach
Unfortunately for Gum, the last thing he saw was not a hand, it was darkness
BOOM Gumusao has perished in the water. If you can't swim, please use a lifevest or floaty.

Chylx, annoyed at the situation, turned around and walked away
Turtle and Rado were in the forest area, looking in the trees for some food
The sun was beginning to set, and they were hungry
Turtle stumbled across an apple, but something was... off with it.
The apple was green on one side, but the other side it was dark red
There was a bug in it too
Turtle gagged and showed it to Rado
Rado laughed
"We can seriously trick someone with this"
Turtle nodded and they decided to hold the apple
"HEY!" Infectious(Finest) and D0ts walked out from behind a tree
"What is that in your hand, peasant!" D0ts yelled
"uhh uhhh uhhh" Turtle stuttered
"Our food!" Rado said
"Give us the apple or we will kill you. If you give it to us, we'll let you roam free." Infectious/Finest said
Rado faked a sigh
"Alright GOSH!"
He handed the apple to Infectious, being smart to hide the red side
"Thank you, pleb." D0ts said
Infectious took a bite of the apple
"mmmmm" what a taste!"
Before giving it to D0ts for a taste of his own, Infectious's eyes began to open very wide
"Does it taste... good?" Rado said from a little bit down the trail
Infectious's mouth opened, and he began to spasm
He suddenly went limp and fell over onto the ground
His body, no joke, began to evaporate
As if Thanos had snapped
"[email protected][email protected]??" D0ts yelled
D0ts looked at what was left of his teammate
All that stood in his place was a worm
The worm crawled back into the apple
D0ts was paralyzed with fear
Until... it moved
The apple began to move
it rolled towards D0ts, and stopped at his feet
D0ts at that moment had a sudden realization that he might die, so he stomped on the apple
To his dismay, the apple was crushed, but retained its normal shape almost instantly
The apple floated up to D0ts's eye-level
The worm poked its head out of the apple
"You should have gone for the head"
And the worm launched itself at D0ts
A winner of the games said in an interview after that he could hear D0ts's screams from across the arena
That it was "truly a terrifying sound"
BOOM D0ts was slain by THANOS WORM THANOS WORM

Fiddle and Tobuu heard the screams and cringed
They now approached the Heck zone
From across the landscape, Fiddle could notice two people standing still
"Here, pass me your bow, let me try a shot."
Fiddle angled the bow just right and shot an arrow towards the still people
It arced beautifully and struck the figure on the left in the head
To his amazement, the figure remained upright
Squinting now, Fiddle noticed that the figures looked a bit... strange
They were very reddish/brown
Sort of like the material on the floor of the heck zone
"wait"
"I think those are disguises. It's a trap-"
The two were both grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground
Norwegian Escape was towering over Fiddle, while Spubbles was towering over Tobuu
Tobuu, on quick impulse, kicked Spubbles in the groin, causing him to shriek and fall onto the ground and spasm
Norwegian, seeing his teammate downed, kicked Tobuu in the face
A lot of chaos now ensued, and all 4 began to fight
Tobuu dodged another kick from Norwegian and pulled out a dagger he had in his pocket
He dove behind Spubbles and inserted the blade into his back
Spubbles howled in pain, and Norwegian saw that his teammate's time was limited
He threw four rapid punches at Tobuu, all connecting with his face
Fiddle was on the ground, scared
Spubbles and Tobuu were both near each other, very wounded
They both knew their time was up
As a motion of peace, they held hands and were oofed

Fiddle was on the ground now, not wounded, but scared
Norwegian stood above him, towering like the ship he was
"HAHAHA!" Norewegian bellowed
"I have four main water slides, two pools, four hot tubs and a cool aqua play area for young children! What do you have?"
"OH WAIT! You're not a ship! I am superior!"
He continued to cackle and Fiddle was now mad
Fiddle stood up and faced Norwegian eye to eye
Fiddle winded back, like he was preparing a mythical fireball or something
"Ha you look so silly" Norwegian said
"AAEHAHEHAEHEAAE" Fiddle screeched
He kicked Norwegian so hard in the stomach that he flew back 20 or so feet into a pit of lava
"Can't swim in this liquid can you?" Fiddle said
Norwegian Escape sunk while on fire... He was a brilliant ship, but unfortunately was not fire resistant
BOOM Norwegian Escape has perished

Bumbleboing and LDMslovenianPro were laying on a nice island in the oceanic zone
The weather was nice, but there was an uneasy feeling in the air

LDMslovenianPro opened his eyes and saw some pretty big waves now splashing in the ocean
"Huh, waves are getting wild." He said to Bumble, who grunted, just wanting to sleep in the nice hot sun
The waves continued to increase, one wave splashing over their island and covering LDM, who was gasping for air
"BUMBLE WE NEED TO GO!"
"nah the weather is niceee"
The waves continued to increase
It was as if they were in a wave pool at a water park
A wave covered their entire island, prompting Bumble to get worried
The sky was now dark, and the waves were increasing
The wind was picking up, throwing their hair wildly across the air
"AAA WHAT DO WE DO?" LDM screamed
Bumble said nothing, staring at the horizon
"BUMBLE??"
LDM turned to see what Bumble was looking at
There was a wave
About the size of a common skyscraper
Hundreds of feet in the air
"HOLD YOUR BREATH!" Bumble yelled before the wave absorbed them
Bumble was thrown deep deep into the water
Hitting rocks and coral as the altitude decreased
Bumble felt this was the end
With the last few blinks of consciousness, Bumble saw something under the water
A cave
Bumble attempted to swim towards the cave, but was stuck by rapidly sinking debris from the wave
LDM was underwater as well
But was even more unlucky
LDM had fallen underwater straight into a particularly sharp piece of coral
BOOM Bumble and LDM both keeled over underwater :(

Westrolix and Penzar were in the forest, very hungry as the sun had finally set
They illuminated their path with torches they had found
"Aha! Victory! Food!" Penzar said
He bent down to the ground to examine an apple that was there
He looked at the apple from the front, shrugged, and took a bite
Over the chews, Penzar said, "You know, this apple is pretty good actually."
"Want some of it?" Penzar asked
Westrolix refused
Penzar shrugged and ate the rest of the apple
"Hey I found an apple for myself too!" Westrolix now said
He picked up an apple he found on the ground too
He took a bite
Penzar rubbed his belly after the good meal
Westrolix stood awkwardly
"Yo this apple sucks" he said
He handed it to Penzar, who turned the apple around
Now showing off the true colors of the apple
Dark red
"I think you're about to die" Penzar said
Westrolix clinged onto Penzar
"I don't feel so good, Mr. Penzar... I don't want to go, please, I don't want to go, Mr. Penzar."
Penzar clutched onto Westrolix, not sure he could do anything to save him
Westrolix faded away from existance
Penzar teared up, only to be distracted from a small object landing on his arm
Penzar looked at his arm
A small worm was there
"Oh hello smol thing"
Penzar reached out his hand for the worm to climb up on
The worm looked up at Penzar
Penzar was confused though
He didn't think worms had eyes
This one had clearly visible ones
and what looked like a mouth
"Probably mutant animal or something" He thought
The worm climbed up his hand at a fast speed
and was now on Penzar's face
"woah you're a fast thing"
Penzar flung the worm onto the ground
The worm looked up at Penzar now
"I know what it’s like to lose. To feel so desperately that you’re right, yet to fail nonetheless. Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives. Or should I say, I have." The worm read out, perfectly literate
Penzar was so shocked that the worm spoke, that he didn't even notice it launching for his face once again
BOOM Penzar and Westrolix were slain by THANOS WORM THANOS WORM

HalfHeart now opened his eyes
He coughed up an extreme amount of water
He looked around him
And saw a small room
No water in sight
"Whaaaa?" He said aloud
He stood up and walked around the room, looking for an opening or some answers
There was a door in the corner, so HalfHeart walked towards it
Before he could reach it, the door opened
A figure stood in the doorway
HalfHeart couldn't see the figure entirely, but he new it was someone he recognized
He just had that... feeling
No, it was not Thanos
The figure walked towards HalfHeart
Showing who it really was
HalfHeart opened his name to utter the figure's name, but the figure put up a finger to tell him to stop
"You're lucky I got to you." The figure said
"You're lucky I happened to be out in the water when I saw you drowning"
HalfHeart nodded, in awe with the figure still
"I thought you were dead?" HalfHeart said to the figure. "It was everywhere in the news!"
The figure laughed and patted HalfHeart on the shoulder
"You have much to learn about everything going on here."
"Now go- go fight your way to the top, if you can. Try your hardest."
With that, the figure pressed a button on the wall and a trapdoor opened under HalfHeart, shooting him to the surface
Before he could say a thank you, HalfHeart swore at impulse
He landed on the earth, but was hit in the face with a rock that happened to be shot from the water as well
He fell to the ground and clutched his fist. "Should have said shoot..." he muttered
A big battle now ensued across the map
Diamondd, Koco, and Peachy were all in a battle
Diamondd was alone, but he had the loot on his side
He had a rifle and the high-ground, and was firing down on his enemies
Bullets hit near Koco and Peachy, barely missing them
"REEE!" Koco yelled, scared out of his mind
Peachy was hurt seeing Koco this unstable, and decided to make a great sacrifice
Peachy ran out and drew Diamondd's attention to him now
Diamondd hit Peachy with a shot in the arm, and another in the leg
Koco had this opportunity now to rush the high-ground that Diamondd had
Shot after shot now struck Peachy
Koco was now level with Diamondd now, and dove for him, knocking the weapon out of his hand
Koco threw a dozen punches at Diamondd, and now turned towards Peachy

The car flipped in mid air, and exploded like a Michael Bay movie when it hit the ground

Deathmatch has now begun
But a different sort of death match..
Instead of being teleported
Every weapon was now infinitely powerful
It would destroy anything it touched with one hit

And along with that, every tribute now had a map in their pocket with everyone's concurrent locations
Rado and Turtle faced their next foes
Cloak and now HalfHeart
HalfHeart was dazed from a concussion, but wanted to fight still
Turtle had a bow, and fired a shot
It missed HalfHeart by an inch
Cloak ran at Rado, tackling him to the ground
Cloak, now over a pinned Rado, pulled out his dagger and hit Rado with it
Rado was instantly oofed by it
BOOM Rado has been hecked by Cloak

"Nothing personal kid" Cloak said over Rado's corpse
He then did a small fortnite dance

Turtle, Half, and Cloak continued the fight
Turtle punched Half in the face, sending him to the ground
Since fists aren't weapons, he wasn't instantly slain
While on the ground, Half thought he was hallucinating from the concussion
He saw an apple roll across the ground
"lol hallucinations are weird"
He swore he could even touch the apple
A worm emerged from the seemingly hallucinated apple
"The end is near." The worm bellowed
HalfHeart laughed at the silly worm
He stopped laughing when it collided with his face
"oof" Half said before vanishing

The gamemaker now became conscious of what was happening
"Thanos worm? What?" She pulled up her computer and looked at the footage

She typed wildly into her keyboard and pulled up a dashboard of all the living tributes
She saw that Turtle and Cloak were the two nearest to the worm
She had to wait for one of them to come out victorious before she could intervene
Cloak was under Turtle, who had a knife
"jajaja prepare to keel over!" Turtle said
"WAIT WHAT IS THAT?!" Cloak yelled

The worm stood on the ground, facing the two tributes

Turtle, afraid the own worm he found would kill him, stomped on it
After he removed his foot, the worm still stood
"You’re strong. But I could snap my fingers, and you’d all cease to exist."
Cloak now stomped the worm
It was still there
The two took turns stomping the worm
"This can't be fun for the worm." Cloak said
"Fun isn’t something one considers when balancing the universe. But this… does put a smile on my face."
"GRRRR!" Turtle yelled
This was the gamemaker's chance
She added values to the computer for Turtle momentarily
Turtle began to expand
Almost to a... pear shape
Turtle now spoke deeply
"ONLY ONE CHARACTER CAN DESTROY THANOS"

With that phrase, Thanos Worm dissolved into nothingness
Turtle went back to his normal self
Exhausted
Cloak was wide eyed
And began to hail his new true leader, Turtle
Unfortunately for Turtle, however
Dunamis was perched atop a tree looking right at him
Through the scope of a sniper rifle

Turtle was no more

He saved the world
But he could not save himself..

Hayden stood looking strangely at Koco

Hayden robot-walked to Koco, who was in fear
"haha just kidding I'm not a robot! Pranked!" Hayden said
He then punched Koco in the face
The two struggled now
Cloak swung his sword at Fiddle and missed
Both were exceptional people
A victor would be difficult to find from their fight
Chylx and Dunamis began to fight
Both very equally talented
This fight might end in a stalemate
Hayden now stood with his sword to Koco's chest
"Haha! Confused by my bot prank I see, now it is your demise!" Hayden said
"Jokes on you Hayden" Koco replied
"I'm actually a bot." Koco moved extremely robotically and made beeping noises
Hayden screamed and dropped his sword
"HA JUST KIDDING!" Koco yelled
Hayden fainted and Koco stood with his sword, ready to give the final blow
Hayden couldn't let this guy win. He pranked him with his own prank!
Hayden reached out for his blade while Koco was distracted momentarily
The two were now blade to blade
There was no option
Hayden figured he'd be the first to take out Koco
But at that same moment Koco had the same idea
They both pushed their swords at the same time
And fell to the ground
"Koco, you're awesome. But the bot prank was mine :rage:"
Koco laughed
They both keeled over.
BOOM Hayden and Koco both oofed.

All four incredible people
The gamemaker stood in her ship
It hurt her to know that someone had to perish
They were all amazing people
Cloak and Dunamis, both friends, hit each other's blade together
The sparks from it temporarily blinding Chylx and Fiddle
Cloak swung at Dunamis, who blocked
All four so evenly matched
This would be difficult
Dunamis and Cloak were neck and neck
Fiddle and Chylx were fighting too
Dunamis looked at Cloak
"No matter what happens from this fight... We're still friends, right?"
Cloak nodded
"Friends." he said
Dunamis swung back extra hard and the sword collided with Cloak's, breaking it with the force
Dunamis shed a tear
And swung his sword once more.
Cloak fell to the ground

Cloak has been slain
@Dunamis, @❄ Fiddle Fun ❄, and @chylx❄ have come forward victorious
They embraced each other
But Dunamis was still upset over his fight with Cloak
"There's always a next time, buddy." He said to the air
The gamemaker now sat down on her chair, exhausted

But she was stumped

She went to her computer and traced back footage to find the origin of the worm
One day, the apple on the tree was there, the day prior, it was not
She went to the day it appeared, and was shocked
A figure went up to the tree and placed the apple in it
Upon doing it, the figure turned towards the camera
Knowing exactly where it was
And winked
The gamemaker knew who this person was
And traced back to find where they came from
The ocean
The gamemaker grinded her teeth and slammed a fist on her table
"How is he alive?? I thought-"

UPDATE 18 (Sunday) I'm sorry once again for not being able to update this for as long as I wanted to; power went out here. There has been a confirmed number (thus far) of 5 fatalities, most of which come from Hideaway Parl/Tangere Park Area, and two children. Hundreds of 20 injuries, some people are still missing. There are multiple counties joining in the search and rescue for the people of Woodward. The tornado sirens did not go off due to the storm approaching too quickly, along with a malfunction (lightning strike). Police and other emergency officials have mentioned to keep calling relatives/friends there to a minimum due to it jamming their lines, so TEXTING would be the next best thing. I know I'd probably try a few more times before giving it a break. I hope that everyone else is okay, and if I weren't so far away, I know I'd be right there with the search and rescue teams helping them. Donations are also being accepted, take any donations to the Living Word Fellowship Church. They are also looking for any help they anyone can provide. Thanks again y'all, Woodward needs all the help they can get right now.

UPDATE 17 3:00a Uh... Tornado sirens going off in Cushing, but there's nothing there, according to all three news stations...
I know this may seem stupid, but I don't know what else I can do than maybe pass this along to those who have friends or family in that area. And sorry if this is the wrong place, I didn't know where else to post it!
