Map From shortest to longest streaks. Year is the start of the streak.
N/A: Georgia: Biden didn't flip a single Trump 2016 county in the state, so it doesn't really have one. Trump actually flipped Burke, though, making it an anti-bellwether that last voted with the state when Bush carried both in 2004.
2008: Florida: Jefferson, Monroe, and St Lucie. Last miss was voting Kerry in 2004.
2004: New Hampshire: Grafton, Cheshire, Merrimack, and Strafford. Voted Gore in 2000.

Illinois: Peoria and Champaign, both Nixon '60.
Minnesota: Hennepin, Nixon '60. Only voted red since in 1972- same as Minnesota.
Louisiana: Concordia, Catahoula, Winn, and Jackson parishes. Kennedy-Goldwater, like the rest of the state (and a lot of the South).

1864: Kansas: Saline, Lyon, and Bourbon, since statehood.
1856: Texas: Parker and Lampasas, both counties founded that year.

I travel quite a bit and plan a lot of my vacations/road trips off of where awesome disc golf destinations might be. Would love to start a thread for myself and others who could use a directory for sweet disc golf courses when they are out of town Could you post your favorite 5 disc golf courses in your city, as well as your state?
I am personally a fan of wooded courses. I enjoy technical shots with a good variety of throw types needed. 934 rated. Not a fan of golf style courses.
Des Moines, IA: 1. Southwoods (will be done this summer) 2. Walnut Ridge 3. Big creek 4. Pickard (30 min south) 5. Maytag (40 min east)
State of Iowa: 1. Wildcat bluff 2. Sunnyside @ Atlantic 3. Sugar bottom 4. Treasure Cove (council bluffs) 5. Forest City
Shaver park in Cedar Rapids will likely join the top 5 once it’s done… but time will tell.
Thanks guys!
It’s quiet and cold here in Iowa. I live in a small community on the outskirts of a larger city. I love Iowa for its laid back beauty. I lived in Colorado Springs for 30 years. A beautiful city against America’s mountain— Pikes Peak. I never thought I’d want to leave that city, but like all good things— everyone wants a piece. It destroyed some of the beauty in my opinion. Congestion and crime went up the more popular it became with people escaping California’s high crime and craziness. No thank you. Now I get to visit my two kids and leave when I’m ready to go back to the rolling corn fields and empty serenity. I like the quiet.
It’s been quiet on the Richard Allen defense front. Amazing how well the Indiana State Police have clamped down on the Delphi murder investigation. You’d think there would be more leaks once they had an indictment and arrest. Honestly it makes no sense whatsoever that everyone is gagged and bound to secrecy. I can’t recall that many murder investigations operating this way in my many years of reading about murder investigations. You would think there would be something— crickets. It’s quieter in that small Indiana town than it is in my little town of less than half Delphi’s population. People always talk. How come nobody outside the investigation is talking. I suspect if they were we’d hear something from the central Indiana media apparatus. Nothing.
There’s no doubt in my mind they have the right guy. No doubt he’s BG. He’s the guy I used to look at every so often in the years after the horrific murders of two kids. BG was an enigma. He was everybody and nobody. How could a guy that looks like any number of thousands of guys in mid-America do something so horrible to two young girls out hiking on a local trail. Something so callous as to kidnap them off a public hiking trail in the middle of of the daytime and force them across that creek/River. That body of freezing cold water in the wintertime. That part always bothered me— forcing them to wade across Deer Creek. Sure it looks shallow, but it’s still freezing cold water and makes no sense a killer would do that as a part of their plan.
I spent years hunting in rural eastern Colorado and the mountains beyond the Front Range. I don’t recall wading across many Rivers, streams, creeks or puddles for that matter— unless forced to. Especially in the early or late winter when it was still coId outside. I wonder how many murders occurred in this country after a killer forced his victims to wade through a freezing cold body of water. To me it makes no sense— but then nothing makes sense about BG. We are supposed to believe this little mild mannered CVS cashier suddenly became a monster on that day. A guy married 25 years and no criminal record— suddenly a serial killer. I suppose it can happen. But something seems off about the whole thing.
Even BTK a family man with one daughter comes across a serial killer. Dennis Rader was an absolute asshole from all accounts I have read about him. Not Richard Allen. Nobody says any bad things about the guy from what I have read. Nobody. From all accounts the opposite seems to be the case with him— he was always quick to help anyone coming into the Delphi CVS. Need to find the razors— he’s your man.
So why the disconnect. How come it still feels like the two from Peru- the Peru Duo are still involved. We do know the dad is an asshole. He does have the criminal record that would make anyone suspect he’s capable of doing what was done. He’s the hunter. He has the photos of the dead deer lying prostate in the back of his white pick up truck on his Facebook page. The deer lying in the white blood smeared bed of his truck with its tongue hanging out. What a guy. A real sick bastard of a hunter would do something like that. It truly shows the real man.
It was no mistake the leaking of Juniors post arrest transcript from August 2020. Junior was arrested and charged with 30 counts of possession of CSAM and obstruction of Justice for wiping his cell phone full of chat logs. The transcript itself is worthless in a court of law as anyone can see. The guy asked for an attorney and they continued their questioning. That interrogation was not about the CSAM found on the devices taken from the house he shared with his dad three years earlier. The interrogation was about the murders of two kids. They knew Junior was an actor in that crime. So to was Richard Allen. The killer was the one directing that day.
The killer is the hunter. He’s the one nobody saw that day. That’s because he suckered the little guy from Delphi into being that person who exposed himself on the trail. He’s the one that crossed the bridge and forced them down the hill and across the bone chilling Deer Creek. A good hunter is not going to subject himself to freezing water in the wintertime. He’s the guy waiting dry and comfortable on the private north side of Deer Creek. The Delphi murder investigation knows that’s what happened. They know the two guys from Peru are involved. It’s no accident the purple PT Cruiser is seen on the Hoosier Harvestore security camera. The same vehicle you can see on Google Earth parked less than a 100’ from that burn pit where investigators were looking looking shortly before Allen’s arrest.
Investigators knew the day they arrested Junior who it was that orchestrated the murders of Abby and Libby. They knew who had the motive to kidnap two kids off a popular public hiking trail in broad daylight. I suspect they knew he’d bow hunted deer on that private piece of land bordering Deer Creek on the south, and the privacy of an Old Cemetery on the north. Investigators purposely outed the guy from Peru because they knew it would put pressure on him and his son. The kind of pressure they needed to get the son to talk. It worked.
Now it’s just a waiting game. The killer knows about the waiting game. He’s accustomed to sitting quietly in a tree stand waiting patiently. I suspect he’s waiting patiently for the day he gets that knock at the door. That’s the day his little buddy from Mexico talked.
Sleep well peeper.
