How the heck do I connect these things? I feel so stupid :D

I repurposed an old gaming PC as a game server after I built a new PC. It had 4x16 GB RAM (G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 CL16) for a total of 64 GB of RAM. Since the price of RAM came down so much, I picked up another pack of the same RAM to give me some more headroom for the gaming server. I didn't want to mix and match different brands/speeds of RAM to avoid any issues. I set the memory to the XMP profile speed, timings, and voltage.
I ran Memtest with the 128 GB and it would throw 1 error per test cycle (19 hours to fully complete all of the tests). I tried it with one 64 GB kit and got no errors, then tried it with the other 64 GB kit and got one error again. I RMA'd it through G.Skill and waited for the replacement.
During that month there was some weirdness with the game servers. Even though the RAM technically passed Memtest, I was getting strange crashes in the V Rising server with "this memory cannot be read" and other problems in Minecraft. In the expert opinion of Redditors, do you think that the memory was failing at the rated XMP speeds in Windows without failing in Memtest?
Even stranger, the replacement RAM finally came in after a month. I put it in and set it to the XMP profile. I retested in Memtest and now I'm getting hundreds of errors after a few minutes. Did I get more bad RAM, or am I pushing the RAM too hard for the system? I'm tired of this very time-consuming cycle of testing RAM for 19 hours at a time, pulling half of the modules, testing again, etc. Do you think I should back the speed down to 3200 and retest, or simply send it back to G.Skill again?

I want to get my dad who was interested in amateur radio back in the seventies and eighties an electronics kit to build a simple radio. We are going to Canada for two weeks on a 2 camper trip and my Sister suggested getting a pair of walkie talkies which I find a fun idea but would it be possible to build it ourselves
