Hey, so.. this is gonna sound pretty out there. But I can't be the only one doing this.
For most of my life, I've had this weird uncontrolled habit of making deals or bets with hypothetical "demons" or monsters or aliens whenever I do any simple task (an example could be "i have to reach and step onto the carpet in my bedroom while walking from the hardwood of my hallway before/by a certain point/drop in a song I'm listening to in the moment, or else the demons can/will get me"). It happens every single day without fail, pretty much always multiple times a day, many of them in succession. Just quick, in the moment bets.
To make an important point clear, I do not see or hear any demons or monsters or anything at all for that matter. I don't even fully believe in ghosts or paranormal things, it's just a sort of "maybe, what if" situation. But this isn't an issue with hallucinations. It's just something I do with the "hypothetical" demons or monsters in my house, or in whatever place I'm in at the time (it happens most often at home though). It is something that if I don't fulfill I feel a bit on edge for a moment, as if the bet held any weight, but that quickly goes away as my rational brain takes over.
I did have what my family and even I considered "paranormal experiences" growing up, and as a child (like from the age of 5/6 to middle school) had chronic nightmares and a couple cases of sleep paralysis. I also do have trauma from abuse and such, if that adds any helpful context. Even so, it's something I could never find anything about online.
Am I crazy? Is there something wrong with me? I do have diagnosed depression since middle school and it's highly likely I have moderate to severe ADHD (I am seeking help and working to get diagnosed and treated, whatever it may be). I guess I can be considered a bit of a paranoid person as well. Such a thing is just so normal to me that I never think twice about it. Until now, that is. I feel like this is just ridiculous. Any thoughts?

My company decided to do away with their company car program and replace it with a pay-by-the-mile allowance program, so I need to buy a car to replace the company car, and the less I spend on fuel, the more of that allowance goes into my pocket.
My house has a roof full of solar panels, so electricity is basically free for me. My daily mileage varies, but most often ends up around 50 miles/day. Every so often I have to travel to a location a few hundred miles away to deal with a somewhat urgent situation, which means full electric won’t work because I can’t wait for my car to charge.
It seems that a Plug-in hybrid with as much range as I can get would work best. It looks like a Used Honda Clarity or Chevy Volt would be the best options. I would prefer to keep the price under 25k, although I’d consider up to $35k for a new car if it were significantly better, but I don’t see newer plug-ins offering any more range.
I am 170 lbs, my wife is 115 lbs… we aren’t big people, we don’t have kids, we’ve never had more than two passengers in our back seat, so the additional passenger space of the Clarity isn’t much use to me. I do have a dog, and I like to keep him and all of his fur behind the rear seats, so the fact that the Volt is a hatchback is useful to me. I actually prefer driving a smaller car if I don’t need the extra space.
I’m not sure, but I think that because the Volt was made in the USA, there may be a tax refunds available in addition to the fact that used Volts tend to be cheaper. The only reason why I would consider the Clarity over a Volt is my pro-Honda bias. I grew up with Honda Civic and Accord wagons as the family cars, and the two best cars I’ve ever owned were Honda's
My brain knows that the Volt is the obvious choice, but my heart wants a Honda. I’d love to hear from real people who’ve owned Volts and/or Clarities to hear how your experiences were.

For some reason, I’m not scared at all of Wally. In fact, I think he looks quite endearing! Wide pupils and all!
Now “Home” on the other hand, actively scares me so much that sometimes I have trouble sleeping at night. I don’t know why. I mean, it’s just a silly house! But for some reason, there’s something about it that feels so uncanny that leaves me legitimately scared. Anyone else fed the same or is it just me?

Alright this question is sounding impossible but actually is very practical for student who don't have a car. Sleep at 24/7 Study area. Food is everywhere. Showers are in the rec center. Lastly for storage rent out storage unit nearby. I found one just 20 min by Transit. Do you still think it's impossible.

All of this is true - it sounds completely made up, but no, its true and I can prove it.
I'm 36 and moved in with my parents 3 years ago when their health started failing. I wanted to help out financially and just by being there.
My mom is having a major surgery on Monday.
I found out after I moved in that their home of 40 years went into foreclosure after my dad couldn't work. We have a lawyer who's been helping us try to negotiate with the lender to keep the house.
Today the sheriff placed an eviction notice on our door - we have to be out by Tuesday. Apparently the bank sold the home and we weren't notified of the sale. (I'm abbreviating here)
Our lawyer is going to court tomorrow to do what he can, but I'm so so scared. So are my parents and my heart bleeds seeing them like this. They have nothing to show for a life spent working. They're each 1st gen Americans, and badly mismanaged their finances when I was growing up. I hate this.
I have a good job, but my credit score is 30 points lower than it needs to be for me to be able to qualify for a loan to buy the house and thus save it. I have no real savings, they have no real savings.
We have....nothing. Theres no safety net. Theres no family or friends coming to help. All I have is a house filled with 40 years of my parents lives (and 3 cats) to somehow move in 5 days. How? To where? I have no idea.
And I've faced a full frontal reckoning with my privilege. Housing was something I took for granted. Never again.
I'm too scared and too ashamed to tell any of my friends - bc what can they do? Its humiliating. I have to pretend to be ok at work while this is happening. Wondering where I'm going to be sleeping in 5 days. Will we have to abandon our cats. How can we go to a shelter if my mom is recovering from surgery? I cry a lot but I don't want them to see - I want to be strong for them.
Please pray for us because I've never been this afraid.

I just wanted to thank everybody in this community. From watching from the sidelines and occasionally daring to post, I've reall¥ learned a lot. I'm not ready to do an install for someone, maybe even myself ¥et, but I've learned a lot about networking and the hardware just by reading through the posts, questions, and debates. I started off with no network knowledge. I had one Asus router for a 5000sqf house with stone walls and no wired ethernet anywhere in the house; it was just... bad. Fast forward to the second half of 2023-early 2023, and I can proudly say I have vastly exceeded my wildest expectations. I have a Dream SE, a 24 POE switch, and two Synology NAS units (one is for home and famil¥ use, and the other is focused on my primary business - doing start-up super bootleg, working on the early stuff on a NAS before upgrading to something more serious.
Of course, if I shared it, there would be many criticisms of my build and decisions I made - some of which were forced on me and I'm working to correct - the electricians, when they ran lines, just left them all hanging in the same area of the Rack, with RJ caps on them, rather than female, so working on converting them to female jacks to use patch cable on the POE to the lines up into the house. It was a little irritating, but whatever they knew, they had a somewhat easy mark. The next hurdle is to figure out what CAT wiring they did the house in, I really worry they cheaped out, but unfortunately, when they were in the house to wire, I was on the other side of the country. So I will be inspecting, and I anticipate calling them back to re-run higher tier cable (this is largely due to the imminent fiber connection getting lit up to my house with 10Gbs Up/Down. It might be different from the prettiest, but it's coming along.
The large increase in bandwidth coming aside (and yes, I am aware few, if any, of my devices will be able to even support that speed - except the key one, my mac studio, which I use in Parallels to run Windows due to most financial market software runs on windows. With all the tools that should be running, I am hogging up a lot of data (and CPU power...). I need to run about five trade systems - pre-trade/ post-trade, communications suites, market pricing, DOM, very low latency charting, compliance filings, etc. But that’s all besides the point. What I really want to do is thank you all very much. Not long ago, I was getting 14mbps in my office ( i recently lost access to a commercial office), which was a disaster, but now, having read this and exploring ubiquitin thoroughly, I have a serious network running in the house, all wired, using Dream SE, 24 PoE Pro Switch, some smaller switches at the ends of the lines for rooms that have more than one ethernet plugin option. I have 5 U6 Enterprises and 1 U6 Mesh (Pepsi can). Spread throughout the house, and I have to say, WHEREVER I am in the house, and this is a large stone house, basement, first, second, and third ( attic) floor, and I never drop below 660-700, wherever I am, which is true, not even sure how to put it into words, a miracle. Especially given the price points. Yes, expensive, but you really get what you pay for, and the learning curve isn’t impossible. I'm a very happy user, and I hope that maybe someday soon I can help answer questions all you great people have!

PS. I mentioned 10Gbs coming to where I am, just a few blocks away now. I will need to return to the drawing board on some hardware. The U6 Enterprises support 2.5, so on the APs, I'm content with that. I want to ensure a 10GBbs connection is going to my workstation (mac studio) and that my NAS units play nice with it. I have to figure out how to upgrade a NAS to reall¥ take advantage of a full ten connection, right now m¥ NAS units are quite simplistic, they are just entry-level NAS units with standard NAS HDDs, but I'm ready to make an investment into a beefier system and integrate 10Gbs ports for the highest speed traders possible. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again, everyone, so much. I owe this group a huge debt.

My husband and I are in the preapproval process to try and purchase a house this year. I monitor my credit using Credit Karma, and saw that my two credit scores on there were 760 and 780, which we were pretty psyched about. We started filling out the preapproval stuff with a real estate agency in town, though, and heard from them that they saw my credit score was only 716.
We were so surprised! I asked for more information, and they said it was due to a late payment I had on my car loan in 2021. I looked it up, and of course it was a payment I made on the 31st day it was due, when I had Covid in the middle of the pandemic. Ugh.
So I have two questions: first, is this kind of disparity in scores common? It seems so weird! Second, the late payment clearly isn’t fraudulent, I just made what I see now as a serious mistake. Is it possible to fix? Is going to the car loan financing group and begging forgiveness even possible? Thank you for any help you can offer!

For reference: I (22m) am a college student and I currently have a $700 limit on my CC. I also pay a $300 monthly car loan. For both of these, I pay off in full, on time for every statement date each month.
I got my first CC when I was 18 and mainly use it for occasional yet fixed expenses such as gas, eating out, groceries, and the occasional entertainment ticket (sports, concerts, shows, etc) once every month or so. Given that I am on a meal plan and am housed in a dorm, I rarely find myself eating out and don't have to pay rent as well as driving around so my current and normally expenses have been low at school and as a result, I usually stay under $200 on my CC per month.
As I said earlier, I pay my card off in full on the due date every month since receiving my card and have built an 805 credit score which has been that way for a while give or take; sometimes it goes as high as to 808, sometimes it drops as low as 798. This past month, I ended up spending a little extra on a plane ticket to visit my family for spring break which was an additional $300 which ended up being a $366 final statement. Again, paid it off in full on the due date.
I usually get weekly credit reports through Mint, which is an intuit company for those unfamiliar. I got an alert that my credit score dropped a significant amount (more than 10 points). I checked and it decreased to 775; I know that's still good but I was confused.
I got a tip from Mint that because I used around 40% of my credit utilization, that has a high impact on dropping credit scores. I want to buy baseball tickets for opening week on Saturday and by doing the math, it seems like I'll go over 30% utilization on my next statement which apparently is a factor.
So I guess my question is why do credit companies penalize you if you spend a lot on a credit card, especially if you pay it back on time in full like I've always done? They always say that putting things on a credit card and paying it back on time builds credit and I am doing exactly that. I know this is a really stupid thing to be nervous about but as a young adult who wants to be able to qualify for loans and all that I want to know what effective tips I can use to make sure this doesn't happen. Any help, tips, or advice would be greatly appreciated!

That's when my wife told me her business partner and she decided they would not pay the husbands when they started the business. We would get it back in other ways. I was shocked and felt weird about saying to them, "Don't worry about the money; I am happy to help." Were they thinking, "we weren't going to pay you anyway"?
My wife now makes $500,000 a year. Do I get anything back? Well, they do pay my health insurance and took us to Hawaii for a vacation, to be fair. But since I don't have as much money, they pick vacations, and we all go together. Any other way it comes back? I pay for all my stuff. I spend $800 on food and groceries for myself. She has delivered food for $2,500 a month. I pay $29 a month for my gym. She spends $1,500 on trainers. I spend $3,000 a year on clothes and jewelry. She spends $25,000 a year on clothes, jewelry, etc. Sometimes pay her credit cards down because I hate interest. So the question is this. Is it fair that they decided not to pay their husbands for their work because it comes back in other ways? (which I am not sure it does) Should I be paid if they are making money and are profitable? At the least, I would have liked to have been told this was their policy and given a choice. To find out after the fact feels disrespectful. I would still help them out, but I have to pay my staff while I am away, and I get behind, and I don't have any extra time. I work 70 hours a week between the studio and my IT work.

Hi guys 20(f) am having a really hard time balancing my life- it’s really starting to affect me as I’m tired all the time and am just barely swinging by- and the quality of the things I do aren’t the best since I am tired.
Any advice on how to format my day or advice in general would really be appreciated as I’m really suffering. Here is what my day usually looks like-

• Wake up at five (I have work at 6 am and I’ll usually work about 4/6 hours.
• I get home about 10- 11 am and I’ll Sleep from usually 11 am- 6 pm.
• From 6-8pm I’ll feed the outside cats, my inside cats, eat/ prepare dinner, clean up the house a bit, and lounge around a bit too
• 8-12 pm I’ll spend time with my family, shower, and if I can I’ll do my homework super quickly and study if I have the time.
• 12-3 am I’ll spend time with my bf and fall asleep- if I have the energy I’ll do my hobbies.

On weekends I’ll usually stay up until 4 am and I’ll wake up at 12 pm- and like usual my day is frantic and I feel like I don’t have time for anything. I am super tired and groggy all the time and I feel like it’s due to me sleeping/ waking up at different times consistently.
Spending time with my loved ones is super important to me as my parents work 12 hour shifts and come home at around 7 pm and my dad sleeps at 9 while my mom 11. It is the only time I get to really spend time with them because on the weekends they’re busy playing catch up as well.
And my school work is suffering too as I feel like the quality isn’t there as I’m too tired to focus a lot of the time so I just barely complete it and don’t have a good quality of studying too which can take hours- but I just don’t have the time or energy to dedicate the time I want to it.

And recall when you killed a person, and disputed in the matter; but Allah was to expose what you were hiding. 73. They were as rocks, or even harder. For there are some rocks from which rivers gush out, and others that splinter and water comes out from them, and others that sink in awe of Allah. Allah is not unaware of what you do. 75. Do you hope that they will believe in you, when some of them used to hear the Word of Allah, and then deliberately distort it, even after understanding it? 76. And when they come across those who believe, they say, “We believe,” but when they come together privately, they say, “Will you inform them of what Allah has disclosed to you, so that they might dispute with you concerning it before your Lord?” Do you not understand? 77. Do they not know that Allah knows what they conceal and what they reveal? 78. And among them are uneducated who know the Scripture only through hearsay, and they only speculate. 79. So woe to those who write the Scripture with their own hands, and then say, “This is from Allah,” that they may exchange it for a little price. Woe to them for what their hands have written, and woe to them for what they earn. 80. And they say, “The Fire will not touch us except for a number of days.” Say, “Have you received a promise from Allah—Allah never breaks His promise—or are you saying about Allah what you do not know?” 81. Indeed, whoever commits misdeeds, and becomes besieged by his iniquities—these are the inmates of the Fire, wherein they will dwell forever. 82. As for those who believe and do righteous deeds—these are the inhabitants of Paradise, wherein they will dwell forever. 83. We made a covenant with the Children of Israel: “Worship none but Allah; and be good to parents, and relatives, and orphans, and the needy; and speak nicely to people; and pray regularly, and give alms.” Then you 4 2. We gave Moses the Scripture, and sent a succession of messengers after him. And We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear proofs, and We supported him with the Holy Spirit. Is it that whenever a messenger comes to you with anything your souls do not desire, you grew arrogant, calling some impostors, and killing others? 88. And they said, “Our hearts are sealed.” Rather, Allah has cursed them for their ingratitude. They have little faith. 89. And when a scripture came to them from Allah, confirming what they have—although previously they were seeking victory against those who disbelieved—but when there came to them what they recognized, they disbelieved in it. So Allah’s curse is upon the disbelievers. 90. Miserable is what they sold their souls for—rejecting what Allah has revealed, out of resentment that Allah would send down His grace upon whomever He chooses from among His servants. Thus they incurred wrath upon wrath. And there is a demeaning punishment for the disbelievers. 91. And when it is said to them, “Believe in what Allah has revealed,” they say, “We believe in what was revealed to us,” and they reject anything beyond that, although it is the truth which confirms what they have. Say, “Why did you kill Allah’s prophets before, if you were believers?” 92. Moses came to you with clear proofs, yet you adopted the calf in his absence, and you were in the wrong. 93. And We made a covenant with you, and raised the Mount above you: “Take what We have given you firmly, and listen.” They said, “We hear and disobey.” And their hearts became filled with the love of the calf because of their disbelief. Miserable is what they sold their souls for, if they only knew. 103. Had they believed and been righteous, the reward from Allah would have been better, if they only knew. 104. O you who believe! Do not say ambiguous words, but say words of respect, and listen. The disbelievers will have a painful torment. 105. It is never the wish of the disbelievers from among the People of the Book, nor of the polytheists, that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord. But Allah chooses for His mercy whomever He wills. Allah is Possessor of Sublime Grace. 106. We never nullify a verse, nor cause it to be forgotten, unless We bring one better than it, or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is capable of all things? 107. Do you not know that to Allah belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and that apart from Allah you have no guardian or helper? 108. Or do you want to question your Messenger as Moses was questioned before? Whoever exchanges faith for disbelief has strayed from the right path. 109. Many of the People of the Book wish to turn you back into unbelievers after you have believed, out of envy on their part, after the Truth has become clear to them. But pardon and overlook, until Allah brings His command. Allah has power over all things. 110. And perform the prayer, and give alms. Whatever good you forward for yourselves, you will find it with Allah. Allah is Seeing of everything you do. 111. And they say, “None will enter Heaven unless he is a Jew or a Christian.” These are their wishes. Say, “Produce your proof, if you are truthful.” 112. In fact, whoever submits himself to Allah, and is a doer of good, will have his reward with his Lord—they have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve. 113. The Jews say, “The Christians are not based on anything;” and the Christians say, “The Jews are not based on anything.” Yet they both read the Scripture. Similarly, the ignorant said the same thing. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection regarding their differences. 114. Who is more unjust than him who forbids the remembrance of Allah’s name in places of worship, and contributes to their ruin? These ought not to enter them except in fear. For them is disgrace in this world, and for them is a terrible punishment in the Hereafter. 115. To Allah belong the East and the West. Whichever way you turn, there is Allah’s presence. Allah is Omnipresent and Omniscient. 116. And they say, “Allah has begotten a son.” Be He glorified. Rather, His is everything in the heavens and the earth; all are obedient to Him. 117. Originator of the heavens and the earth. Whenever He decrees a thing, He says to it, “Be,” and it becomes. 118. Those who do not know say, “If only Allah would speak to us, or a sign would come to us.” Thus said those who were before them. Their hearts are alike. We have made the signs clear for people who are certain. 6 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) 119. We have sent you with the truth—bringing good news, and giving warnings. You will not be questioned about the inmates of Hell. 120. The Jews and the Christians will not approve of you, unless you follow their creed. Say, “Allah’s guidance is the guidance.” Should you follow their desires, after the knowledge that has come to you, you will have in Allah neither guardian nor helper. 121. Those to whom We have given the Scripture follow it, as it ought to be followed— these believe in it. But as for those who reject it—these are the losers. 122. O Children of Israel! Remember My blessing which I bestowed upon you, and that I have favored you over all people. 123. And beware of a Day when no soul will avail another soul in any way, and no ransom will be accepted from it, and no intercession will benefit it, and they will not be helped. 124. And when his Lord tested Abraham with certain words, and he fulfilled them. He said, “I am making you a leader of humanity.” He said, “And my descendants?” He said, “My pledge does not include the wrongdoers.” 125. And We made the House a focal point for the people, and a sanctuary. Use the shrine of Abraham as a place of prayer. Our Lord, and make us submissive to You, and from our descendants a community submissive to You. And show us our rites, and accept our repentance. Our Lord, and raise up among them a messenger, of themselves, who will recite to them Your revelations, and teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. You are the Almighty, the Wise.” 130. That was a community that has passed; for them is what they have earned, and for you is what you have earned; and you will not be questioned about what they used to do. 135. And they say, “Be Jews or Christians, and you will be guided.” Say, “Rather, the religion of Abraham, the Monotheist; he was not an idolater.” 136. Say, “We believe in Allah; and in what was revealed to us; and in what was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses and Jesus; and in what was given to the prophets—from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we surrender.” 137. If they believe in the same as you have believed in, then they have been guided. And who gives better coloring than Allah? “And we are devoted to Him.” 139. Say, “Do you argue with us about Allah, when He is our Lord and your Lord, and We have our works, and you have your works, and we are sincere to Him?” 140. Or do you say that Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs were Jews or Christians? Say, “Do you know better, or Allah?” And who does greater wrong than he who conceals a testimony he has from Allah? Allah is not unaware of what you do. 141. That was a community that has passed. To them is what they have earned, and to you is what you have earned. And you will not be questioned about what they used to do. 142. The ignorant among the people will say, “What has turned them away from the direction of prayer they once followed?” Say, “To Allah belong the East and the West. He guides whom He wills to a straight path.” 143. Thus We made you a moderate community, that you may be witnesses to humanity, and that the Messenger may be a witness to you. We only established the direction of prayer, which you once followed, that We may distinguish those who follow the Messenger from those who turn on their heels. It is indeed difficult, except for those whom Allah has guided. But Allah would never let your faith go to waste. Allah is Kind towards the people, Merciful. 144. We have seen your face turned towards the heaven. So We will turn you towards a direction that will satisfy you. So turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque. And wherever you may be, turn your faces towards it. Those who were given the Book know that it is the Truth from their Lord; and Allah is not unaware of what they do. 145. Even if you were to bring to those who were given the Book every proof, they would not follow your direction, nor are you to follow their direction, nor do they follow the direction of one another. And if you were to follow their desires, after the knowledge that has come to you, you would be in that case one of the wrongdoers. 146. Those to whom We have given the Book recognize it as they recognize their own children. But some of them conceal the truth while they know. 147. The truth is from your Lord, so do not be a skeptic. 148. To every community is a direction towards which it turns. Therefore, race towards goodness. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you all together. Allah is capable of everything. 149. And wherever you come from, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque. This is the truth from your Lord, and Allah is not heedless of what you do. 150. And wherever you come from, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque. And wherever you may be, turn your faces towards it. So that the people may not have any argument against you—except those who do wrong among them. So do not fear them, but fear Me, that I may complete My blessings upon you, and that you may be guided. 151. Just as We sent to you a messenger from among you, who recites Our revelations to you, and purifies you, and teaches you the Book and wisdom, and teaches you what you did not know. 152. So remember Me, and I will remember you. And thank Me, and do not be ungrateful. 153. O you who believe! Seek help through patience and prayers. Allah is with the steadfast. 154. And do not say of those who are killed in the cause of Allah, “Dead.” Rather, they are alive, but you do not perceive. 155. We will certainly test you with some fear and hunger, and some loss of possessions and lives and crops. But give good news to the steadfast. 156. Those who, when a calamity afflicts them, say, “To Allah we belong, and to Him we will return.” 8 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) 157. Upon these are blessings and mercy from their Lord. These are the guided ones. 158. Safa and Marwa are among the rites of Allah. Whoever makes the Pilgrimage to the House, or performs the Umrah, commits no error by circulating between them. Whoever volunteers good—Allah is Appreciative and Cognizant. 159. Those who suppress the proofs and the guidance We have revealed, after We have clarified them to humanity in the Scripture— those—Allah curses them, and the cursers curse them. 160. Except those who repent, and reform, and proclaim. Those—I will accept their repentance. I am the Acceptor of Repentance, the Merciful. 161. But as for those who reject faith, and die rejecting—those—upon them is the curse of Allah, and of the angels, and of all humanity. 162. They will remain under it forever, and the torment will not be lightened for them, and they will not be reprieved. 163. Your God is one God. There is no god but He, the Benevolent, the Compassionate. 164. In the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of night and day; in the ships that sail the oceans for the benefit of mankind; in the water that Allah sends down from the sky, and revives the earth with it after it had died, and scatters in it all kinds of creatures; in the changing of the winds, and the clouds disposed between the sky and the earth; are signs for people who understand. 165. Yet among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals to Him. They love them as the love of Allah. But those who believe have greater love for Allah. If only the wrongdoers would realize, when they see the torment; that all power is Allah’s, and that Allah is severe in punishment. 166. Those who were followed will then disown those who followed them, and they will see the retribution, and ties between them will be severed. 167. Those who followed will say, “If only we can have another chance, we will disown them, as they disowned us.” Thus Allah will show them their deeds, as regrets to them, and they will not come out of the Fire. 168. O people! Eat of what is lawful and good on earth, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. He is to you an open enemy. 169. He commands you to do evil and vice, and to say about Allah what you do not know. 170. And when it is said to them, “Follow what Allah has revealed,” they say, “We will follow what we found our ancestors following.” Even if their ancestors understood nothing, and were not guided? 171. The parable of those who disbelieve is that of someone who calls upon someone who hears nothing except screaming and yelling. Deaf, dumb, and blind—they do not understand. 172. O you who believe! Eat of the good things We have provided for you, and give thanks to Allah, if it is Him that you serve. 173. He has forbidden you carrion, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and what was dedicated to other than Allah. But if anyone is compelled, without desiring or exceeding, he commits no sin. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 174. Those who conceal what Allah revealed in the Book, and exchange it for a small price— those swallow nothing but fire into their bellies. And Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful punishment. 175. It is they who exchange guidance for error, and forgiveness for punishment. But why do they insist on the Fire? 176. That is because Allah has revealed the Book in truth; and those who differ about the Book are in deep discord. 177. Righteousness does not consist of turning your faces towards the East and the West. But righteous is he who believes in Allah, and the Last Day, and the angels, and the Scripture, 9 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) and the prophets. Who gives money, though dear, to near relatives, and orphans, and the needy, and the homeless, and the beggars, and for the freeing of slaves; those who perform the prayers, and pay the obligatory charity, and fulfill their promise when they promise, and patiently persevere in the face of persecution, hardship, and in the time of conflict. These are the sincere; these are the pious. 178. O you who believe! Retaliation for the murdered is ordained upon you: the free for the free, the slave for the slave, the female for the female. But if he is forgiven by his kin, then grant any reasonable demand, and pay with good will. This is a concession from your Lord, and a mercy. But whoever commits aggression after that, a painful torment awaits him. 179. There is life for you in retaliation, O people of understanding, so that you may refrain. 180. It is decreed for you: when death approaches one of you, and he leaves wealth, to make a testament in favor of the parents and the relatives, fairly and correctly—a duty upon the righteous. 181. But whoever changes it after he has heard it, the guilt is upon those who change it. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 182. Should someone suspect bias or injustice on the part of a testator, and then reconciles between them, he commits no sin. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 183. O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become righteous. 184. For a specified number of days. But whoever among you is sick, or on a journey, then a number of other days. For those who are able: a ransom of feeding a needy person. But whoever volunteers goodness, it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew. 185. Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed. Guidance for humanity, and clear portents of guidance, and the Criterion. Whoever of you witnesses the month, shall fast it. But whoever is sick, or on a journey, then a number of other days. Allah desires ease for you, and does not desire hardship for you, that you may complete the number, and celebrate Allah for having guided you, so that you may be thankful. 186. And when My servants ask you about Me, I Am near; I answer the call of the caller when he calls on Me. So let them answer Me, and have faith in Me, that they may be rightly guided. 187. Permitted for you is intercourse with your wives on the night of the fast. They are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them. Allah knows that you used to betray yourselves, but He turned to you and pardoned you. So approach them now, and seek what Allah has ordained for you, and eat and drink until the white streak of dawn can be distinguished from the black streak. Then complete the fast until nightfall. But do not approach them while you are in retreat at the mosques. These are the limits of Allah, so do not come near them. Allah thus clarifies His revelations to the people, that they may attain piety. 188. And do not consume one another’s wealth by unjust means, nor offer it as bribes to the officials in order to consume part of other people’s wealth illicitly, while you know. 189. They ask you about the crescents. Say, “They are timetables for people, and for the Hajj.” It is not virtuous that you approach homes from their backs, but virtue is to be pious. So approach homes from their doors, and observe Allah, that you may succeed. 190. And fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not commit aggression; Allah does not love the aggressors. 191. And kill them wherever you overtake them, and expel them from where they had expelled you. Oppression is more serious than murder. But do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque, unless they fight you there. If they fight you, then kill them. Such is the retribution of the disbelievers. 10 2. THE HEIFER (al-Baqarah) 192. But if they cease, then Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 193. And fight them until there is no oppression, and worship becomes devoted to Allah alone. But if they cease, then let there be no hostility except against the oppressors. 194. The sacred month for the sacred month; and sacrilege calls for retaliation. Whoever commits aggression against you, retaliate against him in the same measure as he has committed against you. And be conscious of Allah, and know that Allah is with the righteous. 195. And spend in the cause of Allah, and do not throw yourselves with your own hands into ruin, and be charitable. Allah loves the charitable. 196. And carry out the Hajj and the Umrah for Allah. But if you are prevented, then whatever is feasible of offerings. And do not shave your heads until the offering has reached its destination. Whoever of you is sick, or has an injury of the head, then redemption of fasting, or charity, or worship. When you are secure: whoever continues the Umrah until the Hajj, then whatever is feasible of offering. But if he lacks the means, then fasting for three days during the Hajj and seven when you have returned, making ten in all. This is for he whose household is not present at the Sacred Mosque. And remain conscious of Allah, and know that Allah is stern in retribution. 197. The Hajj is during specific months. Whoever decides to perform the Hajj—there shall be no sexual relations, nor misconduct, nor quarrelling during the Hajj. And whatever good you do, Allah knows it. And take provisions, but the best provision is righteousness. And be mindful of Me, O people of understanding. 198. You commit no error by seeking bounty from your Lord. When you disperse from Arafat, remember Allah at the Sacred Landmark. And remember Him as He has guided you. Although, before that, you were of those astray. 199. Then disperse from where the people disperse, and ask Allah for forgiveness. Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. 200. When you have completed your rites, remember Allah as you remember your parents, or even more. Among the people is he who says, “Our Lord, give us in this world,” yet he has no share in the Hereafter. 201. And among them is he who says, “Our Lord, give us goodness in this world, and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.” 202. These will have a share of what they have earned. Allah is swift in reckoning. 203. And remember Allah during the designated days. But whoever hurries on in two days commits no wrong, and whoever stays on commits no wrong—provided he maintains righteousness. And obey Allah, and know that to Him you will be gathered. 204. Among the people is he whose speech about the worldly life impresses you, and he calls Allah to witness what is in his heart, while he is the most hostile of adversaries. 205. When he gains power, he strives to spread corruption on earth, destroying properties and lives. Allah does not like corruption. 206. And when he is told, “Beware of Allah,” his pride leads him to more sin. Hell is enough for him—a dreadful abode. 207. And among the people is he who sells himself seeking Allah’s approval.

Thanks for reviewing my problem in advance. Sorry for the length here, I tried to just stick to the facts of what happened and finding out what I should do.
Recently we had some roof damage. Squared away with insurance company who inspected and outlined the problem and costs for fixing it. Found a licensed roofing contractor. Company rep comes over, reviews the damage, received additional photos from the insurance company. While rep was here identified 2 problems that needed replacing and fixing and affirms the findings of the insurance inspector.
Writes the proposal listing both things, with all other paperwork which states that payment is due upon completion of work.
When the guy was here he stood here in front of both my partner and I and stated these things needed to be fixed and the insurance company had also stated these 2 things needed replacement. The proposal included the price and a place for my signature to agree to the terms of the proposal. I signed off on it.
Additionally I purchased a second service from them not covered by insurance for roof maintenance and cleaning world. This proposal looked exactly the same and had the price, same paperwork and required my signature. I signed off on it.
I wait a month before a crew is sent out for fairly critical repairs. I understand they are busy this time of year.
Day of the job the company rep calls and says the crew is coming. I say okay so remind me quickly of the total so I can have a check prepared, and he states the full price for both proposals, great. I have a check for the full amount ready to go before arrival to give to the crew once they are finished.
Crew arrives and fixes one of the problems on the first proposal and does the full work of the second invoice. Crew was not told of the second problem that was on the proposal and had no supplies with them to do this. Crew lead takes a look and says let me call my boos, the company rep. Meantime I am in text message with the company rep who is now doing an infuriating and tricky song and dance routine about how they don't know if that second thing really needs replacement. Crew lead comes back to me and says when he spoke to company rep his boss that they have supply chain issues getting shingles right now and don't know when they can replace it/fix it.
While I'm talking to crew lead, company rep his boss is leaving voice mail trying to get me on the phone saying "its hard talking in text chat" to wit I send him another text and say that at this point I am only going to speak with him in writing (text msg) so that we can be on the same page about this job with no misunderstanding. I tell him that we can't pay for a job that is not complete and that what I would be able to do today is pay him completely for the second proposal I signed off on because that job is complete. And in regards to the first proposal, there were two replacement/repairs on the proposal and only the first one had been completed. So in regards to that proposal I would be paying one half of the agreed upon amount and when they come back to do the second proposal item I would pay the last half. I guess he decided not to argue with me further in chat and just dropped it.
I gave the crew lead a check which noted each proposal in the notation area and the payment amounts. I took a photo of the check right before handing it to the crew lead.
But I now realize there were a sort of "weasel words" in this proposal:
fix X if needs replacing and fix X if needs replacing.
I can tell you right now that the insurance thought both things needed replacement and so did their inspector and I hired this company to do what the insurance company said to be done.
It's been a week and that check has not been cashed and I have heard no update on when they plan coming back here.
I call the insurance adjusters assistant and tell her what is going on and send them all of the relevant proposal and paperwork I signed off on. I'm waiting on hearing what they want me to do in this case and I asked them if they would call the contractor regarding the completion of this repair. I won't know anything until next week from them.
What I am wondering is what I can possibly do about them not cashing the check yet? How many days do they have to cash that, can they try to put a lien on my house (the other half of the proposal they did not complete was under $1000)?
I am not comfortable with verbal communication with them which is why I'm not making any phone calls. I am thinking that the right thing to do at this point is to wait until next week to see what the insurance company does. And if that doesn't light a fire under them to cash the check and give an ETA on when the second item can be replaced/repaired, I will send a letter, certified return receipt registered mail to their offices. What things should I say in this letter? What rights do I have?

Hi guys 20(f) am having a really hard time balancing my life- it’s really starting to affect me as I’m tired all the time and am just barely swinging by- and the quality of the things I do aren’t the best since I am tired.
Any advice on how to format my day or advice in general would really be appreciated as I’m really suffering. Here is what my day usually looks like-

• Wake up at five (I have work at 6 am and I’ll usually work about 4/6 hours.
• I get home about 10- 11 am and I’ll Sleep from usually 11 am- 6 pm.
• From 6-8pm I’ll feed the outside cats, my inside cats, eat/ prepare dinner, clean up the house a bit, and lounge around a bit too
• 8-12 pm I’ll spend time with my family, shower, and if I can I’ll do my homework super quickly and study if I have the time.
• 12-3 am I’ll spend time with my bf and fall asleep- if I have the energy I’ll do my hobbies.

On weekends I’ll usually stay up until 4 am and I’ll wake up at 12 pm- and like usual my day is frantic and I feel like I don’t have time for anything.
I am super tired and groggy all the time and I feel like it’s due to me sleeping/ waking up at different times consistently. Spending time with my loved ones is super important to me as my parents work 12 hour shifts and come home at around 7 pm and my dad sleeps at 9 while my mom 11.
It is the only time I get to really spend time with them because on the weekends they’re busy playing catch up as well. And my school work is suffering too as I feel like the quality isn’t there as I’m too tired to focus a lot of the time so I just barely complete it and don’t have a good quality of studying too which can take hours- but I just don’t have the time or energy to dedicate the time I want to it.

So my girlfriend and I have been dating for about a year now and I will preface this by saying I love her incredibly much and can see a life with her apart from the issues surrounding our sex life.
So for a bit of background, she struggles heavily with anxiety which definitely takes its toll. She has terrible anxiety induced insomnia which affects her pretty much every night that she has something on the next day (work, college, drinks etc).
She also struggles a lot with self doubt and body image issues (I am always reassuring and complimenting her on her abilities, appearance etc). Gut issues like bloating (potentially also anxiety induced) also don’t help with the body image thing either.
Then there’s the issue of vaginismus (again, probably also anxiety induced). The first few months of us being together there was no issues at all with penetration. She has told me that she have issues with previous partners before me however and had seen a pelvic floor therapist and used dilators to help resolve that, but stopped using them and threw them away a year (as a sort of celebration that she defeated it) before we got together.
Also want to be clear - I have never once pressured her into penetrative sex especially not with the vaginismus. I have always been super clear that it doesn’t worry me and we don’t need penetration to have good sex and at the beginning of symptoms when could still PIV but sometimes would have pain, it was always on her terms and I always asked her to communicate any pain with me so I can stop. I have always been super supportive of her through this and never pressured her or made her feel bad.
Couple other important details: - I definitely have a high libido, hers used to be just medium, wasn’t a problem at all but seems to be low now. - She has never had an orgasm and seems to think she never will. - Her mom was quite sex negative growing up, saying stuff like sex is gross/men are gross etc from teen years onward - potentially to discourage? But I think all it did is harm my GF’s ideas around sex. - Have noticed her mom can be quite dismissive of her dad and not take him seriously with requests or emotions etc. Wonder how this has affected my GF.
Anyways, it’s been probably 6 months since the last time we had penetrative sex (which is fine) and a couple more months longer than that since it was regular. Before vaginismus was an issue we would have sex multiple times a week, go for multiple rounds etc - though our living arrangements at the time allowed for this.
We have both moved back home to our parents houses for the time being (privacy isn’t an issue when at my house, but is at hers so she is usually too anxious of this to do anything at her house) so aren’t seeing each other as often as when were living in apartments with roommates - but we still probably see each other 2-4 times a week under normal circumstances, which you’d think would mean every time we meet at least at my house that we’d have some sort of sexual activity since its infrequent but this isn’t usually the case. Variety of reasons, sometimes it’s lack of sleep, sometimes she feels insecure, sometimes she is irritable and so on.
The real issue is not the lack of PIV sex but the lack of sexual activity in general. Sometimes we go a week or more without really any sexual contact beyond a few kisses and cuddles as my advances for going further get rejected more often than not and she doesn’t really initiate. Average would probably be once per week of some sort of sexual activity usually lasting less than 15min.

My grandparents bought a beautiful house about a 10 min walk from the beach in one of the most highly desirable areas on Cape Cod. Hi guys 20(f) am having a really hard time balancing my life- it’s really starting to affect me as I’m tired all the time and am just barely swinging by- and the quality of the things I do aren’t the best since I am tired.
Any advice on how to format my day or advice in general would really be appreciated as I’m really suffering. Here is what my day usually looks like-

• Wake up at five (I have work at 6 am and I’ll usually work about 4/6 hours.
• I get home about 10- 11 am and I’ll Sleep from usually 11 am- 6 pm.
• From 6-8pm I’ll feed the outside cats, my inside cats, eat/ prepare dinner, clean up the house a bit, and lounge around a bit too
• 8-12 pm I’ll spend time with my family, shower, and if I can I’ll do my homework super quickly and study if I have the time.
• 12-3 am I’ll spend time with my bf and fall asleep- if I have the energy I’ll do my hobbies.

On weekends I’ll usually stay up until 4 am and I’ll wake up at 12 pm- and like usual my day is frantic and I feel like I don’t have time for anything.

Is it fair that they decided not to pay their husbands for their work because it comes back in other ways? (which I am not sure it does) Should I be paid if they are making money and are profitable? Devsis would never make any money and have to shut down the game if F2P players could get everything as fast as paying players because then there would be no paying players. The whole point of paying is to get an advantage, which is the case in EVERY game. Idk if people here forget but this is also their job and they also need to pay rent, eat etc. It’s unreasonable to say that everyone should be guaranteed to get the new cookie during it’s event because from their side, that is a horrible business plan.
Maybe it’s not nice for F2P players and yes you have to be lucky to get it, but even those who paid for the pass or whatever have to be lucky to draw epics to increase the points to 5000. I don’t think the gacha was unfair persé and on that note, can we please ban posts about ‘oh no I won’t get him :(‘ or ‘i hate this gacha system’ because I see atleast 10 of them everyday.
