[WTS] Sailor KOP Ebonite, Ranga, Platinum, TWSBI, Opus 88 and more!
2023.06.03 21:35 haphaphappyday [WTS] Sailor KOP Ebonite, Ranga, Platinum, TWSBI, Opus 88 and more!
All prices are in USD, shipping included to CONUS and Canada. Doing a bit of a destash as I've accumulated a few too many pens over the past few months.
- Sailor KOP Ebonite - 21K M - [B] // Verification, timestamp and writing sample - I absolutely adore this pen but I've decided to let it go. Purchased locally in excellent condition secondhand, inked only twice by me. Incredible nib, pen posts like a glove, just gorgeous. Nib writes smooth and wet with just a hint of feedback. I would rate it [A2] but am giving it a [B] due to no box and small microscratches from posting. Selling for $830, converter included.
- Ranga Designer - Bock Titan F #6 - [A2] // Verification, timestamp and writing sample - A catch and release for me. Took part in one of Ranga's group buys, was capitvated by the unique design on this one and opted to upgrade to the Bock Titan F #6 nib. I love absolutely everything about this pen - the lovely matte red and brown woodgrain ebonite, the smooth ribbed feeling in the crook of my hand, the excellent nib. There's a stepdown but the section is long enough to never even feel it. I just don't reach for it enough (inked only once) so I've decided to let it go. Selling what I paid for it, $194, OBO. Box included.
- Sailor Pro Gear Slim Shikiori Manyou - 14K MF [A2] Verification, timestamp and writing sample - Another catch and release. Bought on Amazon, inked once. I absolutely love the colour and the chitouyancy of the green resin, but I just gravitate towards the 14K M nib on my 1911s more often. Selling for $120. Box and papers included.
- Platinum Curidas - EF [B] Verification, timestamp and writing sample - Bought new last year, and it's served me well. Selling for $60, box, papers, tools and removable clip included.
- TWSBI Diamond 580 ALR Navy Blue - 1.1mm stub [B] - Verification, timestamp and writing sample - Another one purchased new, well-loved, but it's time to let it go. Selling for $55, box, wrench and silicone grease included.
- Opus 88 Omar - F [D for nib smoothing, B otherwise] Verification, timestamp and writing sample - I sound like a broken record, but another well-loved pen that I've decided could use a new home, as it's just not seeing enough usage. Would rate it a [B], but I'm giving it a [D] due to having smoothed the nib with micromesh, as it was a little scratchy out of the box. It writes great now, holds a ton of ink. Selling for $95, box and papers included. (Missing the little squeeze eyedropper)
- Osmiroid 65 italic ground to OF [D for vintage and nib-grind] Verification, timestamp and writing sample - selling this one as an add-on for $20. It's a fun little vintage calligraphy pen, restored and ground to something between an OF and cursive italic by yours truly. I'm fairly happy with how it writes! Some corrosion on the clip.
- Parker Big "E" - M [D for vintage] Verification, timestamp and writing sample - This is essentially a Parker 45 with Eversharp branding and a straight clip, made by Parker back when they bought out Eversharp around 1960. I love the nib on this, and it's probably one of my best-posting pens. I have only ever inked this one up with Lamy cartridges and it seems to leak. I chalk it up to the Lamy carts not forming a tight seal, but I've never used it with Parker cartridges or converters. Selling as an add-on for
$20 $15 $10.
If you're interested in buying as a bundle or combining orders, let me know and we can work out a deal.

2023.06.03 20:44 donmatteo93 Con-40 durability
I know nearly everyone hates the Con-40 but I actually really like how it looks on my denonstrator Preras and since I like to change inks often, the small capacity doesn’t bother me (All other non clear Pilots, I reuse cartridges).
That said, I was wondering if any of you can comment on the Con-40 durability? I syringe fill them like a cartridge to get a full fill so I take them out everytime which I know wears down the cartridges eventually.

2023.06.03 19:30 c0ldgurl Photo 380R is a pile of crap
So we replaced the original ink cartridges with OEM ones from Office Depot, and now this pile of crap 380 won't recognize any of them as legitimate.
Is there a fix for this or should I just transition my parents to a laser jet solution for their occasional family photo printing needs?
I've spent an hour troubleshooting this wonderful piece of technology to no avail.
I guarantee you whatever printer comes next will not bear the name EPSON as I only ever have had issues with this brand. I love my Brother.

2023.06.03 17:23 drumsonfire Mac friendly printer best for family needs?
Greetings Printer family- hopefully this request of opinion post follows community guidelines.
We only want to buy one printer for the family needs; Mine are strictly b&w documents, but occasionally wife needs to print high quality color photos for image boards. Our current HP All in one color printer seems to streak unwanted colors across documents and have poorly balanced color printing. What seems smartest might be laser for documents and to farm out the color printing to a higher end output place when we need it?
Printer is 3 years old- I've done all the recommended maintenance steps and changed out cartridges multiple times.
What would you do? I am a largely uneducated

2023.06.03 16:52 Amkare Are there any Parker ballpoint pen compatible ink cartridges that can be used on Rocketbook?
Hi everyone! Does anyone knows any ink cartridges compatible with Parker ballpoint pens (equivalent to Parker QUINKflow) that can be safely used on Rocketbook pages without any risk of permanently staining them?

2023.06.03 14:32 alexmglee What if a tiny vent hole is made on the wall of the ink tank?
If a tiny vent hole is made on the wall of the ink tank (a cartridge or a converter) of a fountain pen, it would be helpful in reducing the risk of ink leakage (through the nib) due to a possible pressure difference across the wall of ink tank (which could have been generated due to a raised temperature or moving to a place with lower atmospheric pressure if there were no vent hole). But will this small vent hole spoil the normal fuction of the fountain pen or cause any other problem? I searched for a fountain pen with such design but could not find any. (I found only fountain pens with a vent hole in the outer cap, made to prevent leakage of ink due to suction while quickly opening the cap)
I do not have big knowledge on fountain pen but roughly understand the physics of fountain pen by reading several pages of kind technical explanations at
https://fountainpendesign.wordpress.com/fountain-pen-feed-function/.

2023.06.02 22:24 Severe_Mango_966 Instant ink bypass. Anyone figured out a way to print with unused instant ink cartridges even after you’ve canceled.
Someone has to have figured out some kind of hack. Is there some kind of identifying chip I can remove from the cartridges? Something I can do to the software? Any sites like r3born.cc sell others instant ink accounts I can buy the login info for with a few bucks. Someone has got to have a work around

2023.06.02 22:01 dreadedhands HP Ink Tank 316 air in ink pipes
I'm using this printer and for some reason it got air bubbles inside it's black and yellow colour ink pipes. I have tried head cleaning and second level head cleaning but to no avail. Troubleshoot videos on YouTube shows to disassemble the printer and suck the air out, but not willing to take that trouble.
Is there any user friendly method that be used through control panel or from pc to suck the air out. I know some printers like canon have this feature, but I couldn't find anything for this series. Please help.

2023.06.02 20:21 stitchstudent Any uses for cartridges that don't fit?
Before I realized that brand CAN matter, I amassed a baggie's worth of cheap cartridges to use as refills. Now that I've realized they don't fit as well as they should, I don't want to use them on my pen... but is there anything else I can do with them? I'd feel bad throwing away all that ink. Could I drain them into a converter?

2023.06.02 18:24 Archangel7365 Canon MG2200 Generic Driver Help?
My Canon MG2200 Series Pixma is no longer supported by Canon. I'm... frugal... so rather than replace it I am attempting to find a driver that will work. When I attempted to download the driver from the canon website (windows couldn't find one automatically) The page froze up, and now whenever I attempt to navigate back to that page the downloads aren't there anymore and an error message stating that it's no longer supported and driver updates are no longer being made appears instead. I have attempted manually adding the printer in windows using the included generic drivers using every port imaginable - but I can't even print a test page.

2023.06.02 17:53 Wilderspun Old pens found!
| This afternoon I was having a clear out of an old pen drawer at my mother's house. Mostly old ballpoints I had bought for school. I then came across two fountain pens. 1) I believe to be a Parker IM in Stainless Steel Lacquer with Chrome Trim (according to Amazon). Please correct me if you think otherwise. This was bought for me as a gift from someone I ended up no longer being friends with, as such it was discarded to the back of the drawer. Unfortunately, they had it engraved with a cheesy nickname, a big reason for discarding it! But it's such a nice pen and I like the way it writes. I have no new onk cartridges here so this is just with some water on the nib using old ink inside. I decided to commit some kind of FP blasphemy and scratched the engraving off with a pen knife. Unsightly, but at least I feel like I can actually use the pen again. 2) the Bic Easy Clic. I think I would've bought this in about 2007/08 from an Asda if memory serves me right! It would've been the pen I used for a couple of years in High School. Though I already loved fountain pens before this one, this was the first I bought with my own money and used for years. The others were all cheap and would crack and leak. I felt really nostalgic finding this little shotgun of a FP! submitted by Wilderspun to fountainpens [link] [comments] |

Listen here you mouthbreathing, iPad-greasing little shits. I know you’re exhausted from struggling with fractions and your book report on The Rainbow Fish this year, but now that you aren’t being stimulated by Mrs. Schwin and her Hydrocodone 7 hours a day anymore, please use what little room you have left in that pink puddle between your ears to absorb this one last piece of information before it collapses under its own weight for the summer:
Stop shooting Horrorborous’s body. Shoot his bomb instead.
We’re in Profreshional now. You have no excuse to not look at the HP bar and notice the pathetically small damage that inking or egging its body does. And yet somehow, I see all of you spraying up your ink in the air the entire round as if it would suddenly do something. Let me break it down for you; it won’t. You aren’t gonna hit a secret weak spot that no one else found before, and you aren’t going to hit a random crit or something. Those do not exist here.
I am not willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. Because Horrorborous shares the EXACT SAME MECHANIC as Steelheads. Anyone short of a lobotomized dementia patient high on all the drugs known and unknown to mankind should be able to connect the dots between “This guy with a bomb you’re supposed to splat before it goes off” and “This guy with a bomb you’re supposed to splat before it goes off, but bigger!” You probably have even seen a Steelhead within the last 5.5 minutes so you it’s definitely fresh in your underdeveloped mind!
Regardless of that connection, it’s still so painfully obvious that I’m pretty sure you could show your grandparents who haven’t gamed since Pong and they could figure out what you’re supposed to do! What more could Nintendo possibly have done to hold your animal cracker dusted hands and make it more clear to you? Add a big arrow? Have the Squid Sisters pop in for a quirky explanation?
I wish this game mode had voice chat, which is probably older than you, so I could unleash the unholy rage of a thousand suns I feel whenever I see you pathetically flail your ink and eggs at his body like a flashbanged infant!
Santa isn’t real, you malformed lump of cells.
Shoot. Horrorborous’s. Bomb.
