| Hi all, I made this build a year ago and thought I would share! I'm not the best at taking photos, so bare with me đ
This manor belongs to Actress and Singer, Judith Ward and her husband & writer, Marcus Ward and their two children, Juliet and Matthew. The Manor consists of 4 bedroom, with Judith and Marcus having their own rooms, a pool house & gym, and a little cottage by the farm for the live-in gardener and Au Pair. Rumour has it that this power-house couple aren't as united as they post in the press and it isn't just separate bedrooms that indicate this. Some may say the Au-Pair and Marcus spend much of their days together due to Judith always jetting off to the big city.... I hope you guys like it :) There is CC: HeyHarrie, Felixandre, Ravasheen, Pierisims, Little Dica & Peacemaker. As well as TwistedMexi's BetterBuild Mod Gallery ID: kyraaaaxd (CC on required) submitted by kyraaaaaxd to Sims4 [link] [comments] |
2023.06.07 14:41 wizardlizard88 I feel like I'm being asked to decide dozens of variations of the same thing
Hear me out here.... I am 35 and live in a small town now so OLD has become the best option so I can date in a big UK city. When I was younger I always met girls and never had to date. Turns out though that picking girlfriends based on the housemates or work colleagues that would sleep with you wasn't a successful long term strategy.
So I've always had a type but that type has caused lots of problems in the past and I am trying to be a bit more open minded. For those that are curious my type is cute brunette who is shy but a little weird/crazy. The thing is, it's causing a bunch of such polar opposite interactions that I am just confused. Do any of you go in this with a set goal of what you are looking for? I'm a pretty easy guy to have a conversation with so usually it goes well but is that enough to continue seeing them? Am I going to meet people and belike YEP YOU ARE IT? THIS IS WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR.
I am talking about now having dates with age ranges from 28-38. Women who are still renting rooms to those owning houses (nothing wrong with either). Some give me the vibes of my unhinged ex but can't tell if I am just projecting that due to it being so traumatic. Some give off calm energy and I can't tell if I am just comparing to the fun I used to have that wasn't sustaintable. Some are quite spiritual but lack other interests, some are more travel companions but like alcohol alot more than I do.
I am pretty sure one of the women I have spoken to would be keen to keep progressing and I worry I will get into a situation where I think 'yea this is nice, let's give it a go' but is that settling? How do you know? Should I be committing to dating various women over a 3 or 6 month period? I get anxious that the rest of my life will be decided on who I choose to be a partner.
I should also say one thing I'm picking up from all of this at my age is there are alot of women who are very eager to settle down. I can't tell if they are doing everything right because they want kids and I am a very suitable partner. When I was in my 20's at least I knew there was less of a worry about this for them. It almost feels like they have made the decision to stop looking for that connection and settle down and try and find it.

2023.06.07 14:32 Ok-Reward-6390 21 [M4F] Brazil -3/anywhere -- not uninteresting man looks for a good thing
I havenât even flirted for such a long time, and lately, during those boring lunches where people just talk about heiressesâ dogsâ illnesses (a Pomeranian dog shares all her illnesses with her owner) or gossip about some technocrat who has a limp and who may be cheating on his partner, and while rice with cod is served, I am asked âdarling, are you dating yet?â. No, I am not, and here I am, mostly because dating apps are too dull â unfortunately the odds of being flashed by a Jewish 19 year-old from Manchester is smaller on these things, though sometimes you might have some luck and end up being insulted randomly by a Portuguese girl, who is visiting her uncle.
I do have names, and surnames, and I was born in a big city in Brazil. My sister used to describe our childhood address as âa building with cars and trees and buildingsâ, which is a rather good description of much of the city. For a while I wanted to join the seminary but after having to face the fact that this was an inadequate career choice considering I didnât believe in God and had always found masses to be awfully boring (though fascinating at times â the priest at my childhood church used to go on long rants about things, of which there are many) often turning my back to see the watch, and so I chose the next best thing: I am studying sociology, which involves, in many ways, taking a vow of poverty. I also work at a small online newspaper so I am well informed on sub celebrities and local occurrences such as babies heroically rescued by policemen after choking on the thing babies eat. And yes, I write poetry sometimes.
I am fascinated fairly often by everything, or many things, at least so you wonât be bored. These last days I ended up reading a lot of things about Egypt after reading about Ottoman chief eunuchs being exiled to Cairo after their tenure. In general, I really enjoy the humanities. I follow politics keenly â in fact, there is some chance I might have some thoughts on your countryâs politics â and Iâd say I am on the centre-left â pro-choice, in favour of a robust welfare state, LGBTQ+ rights, affirmative action. If you know about Brazilian politics, I voted for Marina and Haddad in 2018 (the voting age here is 16), and Lula last year.
As you can imagine, I also really enjoy reading and writing. Besides poetry, I have often thought about writing a novel, but this seems like too much work â and it seems that it would be arrogant of me to write a novel having lived this little, though it wouldn't be uncommon. I really enjoy learning about other languages and cultures and I know a bit of French, German, Spanish, and Russian, besides English and Portuguese. Iâd really like to learn Arabic and/or Mandarin. I am really into genealogy, and I know quite a bit about it. I often cry while watching dumb movies (I cried during Minions!) or listening to beautiful music; my music taste has been described as âfairly gayâ and in movies as âslightly gayâ.
I guess I am pretty introverted, polite, and timid (well, I am on here after all). I am affectionate and I can be really passionate as well. And I am fairly funny, or rather, I have made a few people laugh over the years. I asked a close friend to describe myself, and that is what he said:
I think youâre very communicative. Shrewd, funny, a good companion. Kind of withdrawn but not necessarily shy. You avoid conflict and unnecessary arguments, but love to participate in good conversations. I think youâre very kind too, besides being polite.
As for what I want to do with my life, I am unsure though I am inclined to go into academia. I have been considering applying to a PhD program in the U.S. after finishing my undergrad here in Brazil. My family does want me to go into their business, which is related to politics. I have also considered going into diplomacy.
Who am I looking for? Iâd like someone curious about the world around her, and open-minded. The rest? Cultural differences can be interesting and I am open to converting (nominally?) to most world religions.
Some poems I really like:
Some songs I have been listening to:

2023.06.07 14:28 EatMoreFiber Moving to Norfolk/Hampton Roads? Welcome! Please read this before posting. [2023 edition]
By user request, I'm recreating this thread in an effort to allow
/norfolk's members to update & improve the information. Please comment as needed and I'll do my best to revise the main text as quickly as I can. Thanks!
Welcome to /Norfolk! Our subreddit gets a lot of questions about relocating to the area, so be sure to search the subreddit to see if your specific questions have already been answered.
Here's a quick list of the top tips and most frequently repeated advice about moving to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area:
- Live on the same side of the water as you work. Our many bridges, tunnels and bridge-tunnels frequently experience heavy traffic volume and become chokepoints even on days without incidents or accidents. Commuting from the Southside (Norfolk/Virginia Beach) to the Peninsula (Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg) and vice versa is not recommended. Additionally, many water crossings are now or will eventually be tolled. Get an EZ-Pass to pay the lowest rate.
- This area floods. Look at FEMA flood maps for the area you want to move to and be aware of possibly needing flood insurance. Similarly, our area occasionally experiences hurricanes. Know your Evacuation Zone and learn more about Hurricane Preparations.
- Hampton Roads has a lot to offer. Obviously there is the beach. But there is also a surprisingly good and growing food & craft beer scene. A great many museums and activities. And an easy drive to the mountains and other major cities. Career wise the medical center is growing year over year, and is only expected to continue expanding into a major hub for the region. Norfolk offers a slightly more urban feel, with lots of great food joints and cultural amenities, all while being walking and bike friendly. Virginia Beach is more suburban in feel, and has a large amount of great neighborhoods at a decent price not too far from the beach. Chesapeake is even more suburban, but more affordable. Suffolk is growing, but still by all rights could be considered mostly rural. (credit to Here4thebeer3232)
- Check crime reports. Crime can happen anywhere but some areas see more reported incidents than others. Great areas can be adjacent to bad neighborhoods, sometimes separated only by a road or a few blocks. When buying or renting a residence, try to visit the area at different times of day and strike up conversations with locals to get a feel for the location. Use Norfolk's Crime Mapping tool to view crime reports and statistics.
- Norfolk Neighborhoods of Note
Chelsea/West Ghent: Small former industrial area that is now home to 2 top tier Breweries and is a central part of the Elizabeth River Bike Trail. Has a growing culinary scene. Limited residential options. Colonial Place: Upscale residential neighborhood with waterside access. Flooding is a concern in this area, but neighborhoods are family friendly and homes are gorgeous. Downtown: the urban center of our region. Growing residential population to match established barestaurant, entertainment and financial scenes. East Beach: Newly constructed high end beach condos right on the Chesapeake Bay. Has abundant docking for boats, fishing holes, and beach access. A more quiet and older community. Fort Norfolk: Growing area adjacent to EVMS and Sentara Medical Center. The unofficial midtown of Norfolk, that is slowly becoming a part of the city skyline. Floods often. Freemason: straight-laced & upscale enclave adjacent to downtown and built around cobblestone streets. Ghent: trendy, historic and filled to the brim with character, culture and delicious cuisine. The neighborhoodâs main thoroughfare, Colley Avenue, and adjacent 21st and 22nd streets are lined with eclectic eateries, unique shops, art galleries and antique stores. Larchmont: High end homes in a family friendly neighborhood. Adjacent to ODU, but without the noise, Larchmont is home to incredible homes in a very green and quiet part of the city. Also has waterside access. Oceanview: Affordable community right on the beach. Still considered more working class, it is slowly looking to compete with the Virginia Beach Oceanfront as a tourist attraction. Home to the Bold Mariner Brewery and Jessy's Taqueria NEON District: Growing Arts district, adjacent to downtown. Home to a variety of arts shops and artisan restaurants, as well as the Chrysler Museum of Art and the Harrison Opera house. Park Place: Park Place is a historic neighborhood centrally located to the north of Downtown Norfolk. Park Place offers multimodal access to health and fitness facilities, dining, coffee shops, retail, visual art, live music, and community for people from all walks of life. This historic residential neighborhood is a diverse and inclusive community, and is comprised of a mix of single detached houses, condos, luxury, market rate, and affordable rentals homes and apartments. Located between 23rd street and 38th street, and between Granby street on the east, and Colley ave on the west, the Park Place area neighborhood includes two business districts, the 35th Street Business District and the Railroad District, and is walkable to the North Colley, Ghent, and Riverview business districts. Railroad District: Rapidly growing former warehouse district located between Ghent and Park place. Home to the majority of Breweries in the city. While could be considered gentrified, is still home to novel cultural centers such as 757 Makerspace and Nomads Clothing Exchange. Riverview: Immediately adjacent to the Norfolk Zoo and Lafayette park. With waterside access and a small commercial corridor, Riverview is a good area for all ages. Also home to MJs Tavern, the largest LGBT bar in the metropolitan area. St Paul's District: Under construction West Ocean View: Turns into a parking lot for HRBT traffic every time the base lets out. Willoughby Spit: Quiet residential sandbar. Remains somewhat isolated from HRBT traffic, but offers a commanding presence along the Chesapeake Bay.
- /VirginiaBeach Neighborhoods of Note
Chesapeake/Chic's Beach: "locals only" beachside community. Oceanfront: touristy stretch of beach + boardwalk, hotels, and trinket shops. Town Center: VB's Central Business District including Pembroke Mall and other high-end shopping, dining, and entertainment.

2023.06.07 14:28 FangGrip [Offline][Woodbridge VA][LGBTQ+ Friendly][21+][6 PM EST Every Other Saturday][5e] GM looking for 1 Player for existing 5E Midgard setting
Introduction
I am an experienced game master looking for one additional adult player (21+) to join an existing D&D 5e Midgard campaign in the Woodbridge / Dale City area. We will be meeting from 6 PM to 11ish every other Saturday (Next Session is June 17th). The game is a local tabletop game hosted at my home.
I will be making my final decisions by the 9th of June.
It is very likely with all of the stupidity Hasbro has been doing of late that our campaign will transition to the Tales of the Valiant 5e variant being created by Kobold Press once it becomes available. This will be discussed as the campaign continues.
As a way to keep things interesting, I like to have a short adventure that is not related to the campaign when the characters hit a level milestone. We generally have a two or three session experience with a different system each time. This includes a homebrew system we are creating and playtesting.
Rules & Expectations
I hope to have a laid back and inclusive game where all levels of gaming experience, genders, cultures, races, and sexuality are welcome. All that I ask is that you are polite to each other, engaged in the campaign, and try to be proactive. If you are not LGBTQ+ friendly, please do not apply.
- We are a non-smoking household with a young child, so there is no smoking in or around our home. This includes vaping and all other tobacco products.
- We are a drug free home so please no illegal substances nor marijuana.
- Alcohol is allowed in small quantities for those of legal age. Please do not become intoxicated and absolutely no driving under the influence. I am the final judge of intoxication.
- We have no pets to be concerned with if you are allergic.
- There is on-street parking, but please be considerate to the others on our cul-de-sac
- Once our child has gone to bed profanity is allowed. Please be considerate beforehand.
- Outside game chatter is welcome in a balanced mix, but please don't let it get too distracting. We are here to have fun, socialize, and create a collaborative story. That works best when everyone participates.
Requirements
We will be using D&D Beyond for character creation and management. You will not need to purchase any of the source material as I have an account that will share them with you, once you have joined the campaign. If we do transition to Tales of the Valiant, we will be changing this management to Demiplane as their 5E nexus becomes available. They will have the same sharing ability as D&D beyond , so don't worry.
- My games are always free. I donât mind donations to help defray costs, but they are in no way expected. Just appreciated.
Setting & Campaign
The setting will be Midgard from Kobold Press, but the themes and goals will be player and character oriented. My play style leans towards plot and narrative driven gaming, with an entertaining amount of puzzles, exploration, and combat. I love getting player input and creativity to help shape and propel the campaign forward. My games have a solid narrative thread that binds them but I never have any qualms about improvising or allowing players the freedom to make the story their own.
The campaign so far deals with an evil book called the Umbral Codex which was split into three parts and hidden away. So far one villain has a third, and a former player character was corrupted when she found the second. Now the third is up for grabs and the party must fight two villains to keep the Codex safe until they can destroy it.
- I have the Kobold Press books in PDF to share with players once you join the campaign
- The characters are currently at 5th Level.
- We already have a Kariv Griffon Knight, a Half Elf Wizard, and a Trollkin Priest of Thor. That leaves a lot of other species / class options available.
- Good and neutral alignments are preferred and will work best with the story. Other alignments are allowable if the character retains a compelling reason to continue working with the party. Once that reason ends, expect the character to be retired from play.
- A well written character will not be at odds with the rest of the party
- Character materials from the official 5E line and Kobold Pressâ Midgard line of books are allowable. Other third-party materials are not allowable.
- There will be a mix of premade adventures and homebrew adventures leaning on the side of homebrew
Optional Rules
- Magic items should have a greater mystique, so we are removing the ability to identify the properties of a magic item during a short rest, and require the identify spell, experimentation, research, or a combination to reveal what a magic item does. A short rest may give hints as to the nature of the item from a visual and visceral level of magical understanding.
- Flanking gives combatants a simple way to gain advantage on attack rolls against a common enemy. A creature can't flank an enemy that it can't see. A creature also can't flank while it is incapacitated. A Large or larger creature is flanking as long as at least one square or hex of its space qualifies for flanking.
- Reaching zero hit points will inflict a level of exhaustion.
- Story Based Advancement (DMG pg. 261)
- Feats, although this hardly seems like an optional rule.
Experience
I am experienced in quite a few games including D&D (Classic Boxed, 1st Edition, 2nd Edition, 5th Edition), Fate Core, Dresden Files, Alpha Chronicles, FFG Star Wars, World of Darkness (oWOD & nWOD), Aberrant, Palladium Megaverse, Cypher System, Cyberpunk 2020, Shadowrun, Hackmaster, Top Secret SI, and quite a few others.
Contact Info
Please feel free to contact me on discord ( FangGrip#7572 ) if you are interested in joining or if you have any questions. I would like to have a conversation with all prospective players. This conversation does not guarantee you a slot in the game but will help keep you in mind in case a player chooses to resign or ghost us. There is no impersonal form to fill out, but I will need some basic information.
- Name
- Your age (21+)
- How far away you are from Dale City Virginia
- Experience in gaming, D&D 5E, and the Midgard Setting
- Types of characters you like to play most
- Any character concept you may have
- Style of play you prefer
- Goals and hopes for a campaign
- Things you donât like in a game
- Why do you think you would be a good match?
Thank you for reading this post. I know it's fairly long, but I want to save people time by giving you all the information I can think of to help you determine if we are right for you.

2023.06.07 14:27 exhaustedbyall My dad got reprimanded at work for being nice and I couldnât be prouder
My dad recently got a promotion. Now he oversees the operations of our entire region which is the one that produces the most. Itâs a very high level job and with it comes perks like a driver, an assistant, a receptionist, etc.
On his first day, he drove himself, parked and went to where the drivers stay on the garage. He talked to them about how their job was and if there was anything theyâd like to change. He asked about their day, made small talk and joked around. Then he did the same with the assistant, the receptionist, the janitor, basically anyone who worked for him that he met on his way to his new office.
His employees were shocked and someone told the big brass. He received a call from an executive above him. The guy basically said that he needed to âbe firmâ and âmake them respect himâ, and that being friendly with the âlow level personnelâ would make them not respect him. He needed to âimpose himselfâ.
My dad was pretty pissed and said that he was chosen to be the boss so how he treated those under his care was his choice. And asked them to not meddle again on his management style. They wanted results, he would give them results. His way or no way. He didnât even want that promotion, they pushed him to accept it. Later on the day, the CEO called to say he was right and to keep doing what he was doing. The whole thing rose a big, pointless ruckus.
I feel so proud of him. He stood up for himself and I know how hard that was. He doesnât want us to make a big deal about it. But Iâm so proud to be his daughter. He is such an inspiration to me.
His childhood was so tough. From days of being hungry, to working at farms and selling food in the street. He moved to a big city when he was 16 to study and find better opportunities. Since I was born, we went from sleeping on the floor of the living room because of shootings and the risk of stray bullets to living in a penthouse with a swimming pool by the beach.
All because he worked hard. Our relationship is a bit strained because of the hours he put into getting us a better life but moments like this remind me that he is a good person. He has flaws and shortcomings, but he only wants whatâs best for those around him.

2023.06.07 14:26 Noblesse311 Character Concept [110]: HMS Conqueror (S48)
Faction:
Royal Navy
Class:
Repeat Valiant/Churchill-class Nuclear-powered Attack Submarine (Submarine in-game)
Background:
The third and final ship of the Churchill-class (also known as the Repeat Valiants as it featured many internal improvements, but outwardly looked about the same as the preceding Valiant-class Nuclear-Powered Submarines)
HMS Conqueror) was ordered on 9 August 1966 and was laid down at the Cammell Laird Shipyard at Birkenhead, at the time in the County of Cheshire, England, on 5 December 1967. She was launched on 28 August 1969 and commissioned into the Royal Navy on 9 November 1971, the final nuclear-powered submarine to be completed by Cammell Laird. (all future Royal Navy submarines would be exclusively built by Vickers Shipyard)
Conquerorâs career between commissioning in 1971 and the Falklands War in 1982 was largely uneventful, with the only thing of note being the replacement of her Type 2001 sonar array with a Type 2020 version and a Type 2026 towed array that could be let out and retrieved sometime in the late 1970s. It was also around this time that the sub would be captained by Cmdr. Chris Wreford-Brown.
Upon the outbreak of the Falklands War in April 1982, Conqueror would be among many British submarines that were deployed to the South Atlantic (including sister ship HMS Courageous), departing Faslane Naval Base in Scotland on 3 April, and arriving at the Falklands exclusion zone on 24 April, exactly three weeks later. She was tasked with scanning the area for Argentine shipping, in particular, Argentinaâs light aircraft carrier ARA Veinticinco de Mayo (formerly HMS Venerable). On 30 April, Conqueror spotted the Brooklyn-class Light Cruiser ARA General Belgrano (formerly the USS Phoenix) sailing southwest of the Falklands outside of the exclusion zone. However, with 25 de Mayo approaching the islands from the north, the commander of the HMS Hermes task force, Rear Adm. John âSandyâ Woodward, fearing a pincer attack between the two ships, requested permission from his superiors to sink Belgrano. That permission, after some debate, would be granted by Adm. Sir John Fieldhouse and the order to engage was sent to HMS Conqueror, in the interim, Belgrano would retire from its attack vector and head west, a move that made later events incite controversy, although both Belgranoâs captain and the Argentine government would acknowledge that the attack was a legitimate act of war.
On 2 May, Conqueror would launch three Mark 8 torpedoes
\1]) at Belgrano, with two of them striking the ship and exploding. Twenty minutes later, the cruiser was rapidly sinking and abandoned by her crew. General Belgrano was unable to send a mayday signal, due to electrical failure and poor visibility, which meant that the two escorting destroyers, ARA Piedra Buena (formerly Sumner-class USS Collett) and ARA Bouchard (formerly Sumner-class USS Borie) would not find out about Belgranoâs sinking until hours after the latter sank, taking 323 men with her. The sinking of the Belgrano was a notable one, as it was the second time since the end of World War II that a submarine sank an enemy warship
\2]), but it was the first (and at the time of writing only) nuclear-powered attack sub to do the deed. The Bouchard was also believed to be hit by Conquerorâs third torpedo. Though Conqueror would not again fire her torpedoes in anger, having had to evade the efforts of the Argentine Air Force (FAA) to locate and sink the submarine, she would spend the remainder of the war helping the task force by using sophisticated monitoring equipment to track FAA aircraft. Belgranoâs sinking also shocked both the Argentine people and military junta, and contributed to the Argentine Navyâs role being significantly reduced for the remainder of the conflict, and in turn, contributed to Argentinaâs defeat in the Falklands War.
After the war, HMS Conqueror would return to Faslane flying a Jolly Roger, a customary act of Royal Navy submarines after achieving a kill. Said Jolly Roger would feature an atom, a cross torpedo pattern, a dagger and the outline of a cruiser, representing Conqueror being an SSN, the weapon used for the sinking, the secretive nature in the operation and the hull type for the kill respectively. This banner can be found at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Gosport in South East England.
Her post war career would also see some notable moments. Later in 1982, Conqueror would take part in Operation Barmaid, an operation to raid and capture a Soviet passive towed scanner array that was towed by a Polish-flagged vessel. Conducted as a joint Anglo-American operation just outside Soviet territorial waters, the sub used cutters affixed to her bow to shear off the 3â (76mm) thick wire before silently returning to base on the Clyde. On 2 July 1988, Conqueror collided with the Dalriada, an Army Sail Training Association yacht. Its four crewmen would be rescued, but the yacht sank.
Conqueror was decommissioned on 2 August 1990, with the submarineâs periscope, captainâs cabin and main control panel joining her Jolly Roger at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum. At the time of writing, she is currently housed at Devonport, County Devon, one of twenty nuclear subs housed there by the Ministry of Defense awaiting final disposal.
\1]: While HMS Conqueror was equipped with the newer Tigerfish torpedoes, the Mark 8, a venerable design dating back to the interwar era, was far more reliable and used instead.)
\2]: The first instance would occur during the Third Indo-Pakistani War eleven years prior when PNS Hangor, a Daphné-class Submarine used by the Pakistani Navy, sank INS Khukri, a Blackwood-class Frigate in an instance that also marked the only instance to date of an Indian Navy warship sinking to enemy action since independence in 1947.)
Namesake:
A conqueror is a person who conquers.
Rarity:
UR
Stat Spread:
As a nuclear powered submarine, Conqueror sports a superb Torpedo Stat (S), a decent HP stat compared to their WW2 counterparts (B) and a superb speed stat (A). As a Cold War submarine that has no guns, she has no firepower stat.
Abilities:
- Her Majestyâs Silent Service: If sortied with at least one other Royal Navy Submarine/SSN, increase the critical chance of all Torpedoes this or any Royal Navy SS/SSN launches by 3% (8%) and increase the critical damage dealt by 15% (25%).
- Setting the Sun of May: Increase damage done to Sol de Mayo (ARA) warships by 15% (30%) and increase damage done to Light Cruisers by 25% (45%). For every ship this submarine sinks, increase the damage dealt by 1% (2%) with its cap at 10% (20%) until the submarine withdraws.
- The Empire Strikes Back: When this ship arrives at attack position and again when retreating from battle, launch a unique, defense ignoring torpedo barrage, damage based on skill level.
Personality:
Conqueror (S48) could be best described as someone who has a Sugar-and-Ice Personality (or in Anime jargon, a Kuudere). On the outside, she is cold, aloof and professional, dedicated to her missions and largely keeps to herself. Once one gets to know her better, she shows herself to be more optimistic and warm, if a bit socially awkward.
Quotes:
- Acquisition: My name is Conqueror. I am the sub that sank the General Belgrano during the war of the South Atlantic. If there is nothing else to add, can I get going now?
- Secretary (Idle) 1: Focus on your work. You wouldnât want to disappoint anyone, do you?
- Secretary (Idle) 2: I am simply doing my duty, Iâm not interested in what other people think or praise about me.
- Secretary (Idle) 3: Always stay on guard, donât make such careless mistakes.
- Secretary (Touch): What requests do you want of me?
- Secretary (Special Touch): I honestly hope your libido matches your skill in battle.
- Skill Activation: Neutralizing targetâŠ
- Affinity (Disappointed): Such a waste of time, you are.
- Affinity (Stranger): If you wish to be useful, then tell me the next objective you wish to see done. I donât have all day.
- Affinity (Friendly): If you want my honest truth about the war, I spent thirteen years for the opportunity to do what I did. I didnât want to foul it up.
- Affinity (Like): IâmâŠnot much of a talker. I donât have anything to talk about here soâŠwhat do you like to do in your free time?
- Affinity (Love): Whenever I need to go out to battle, I try to keep my cool, and Iâm still good at what I do, but the way you make me feelâŠhmmâŠI wonderâŠ
- Oath: This ceremony is just like the one on the return to Faslane. Last time I thought nothing of it, but nowâŠwith you hereâŠ
- Sortie (Churchill): Youâre a good talker when you should be hunting stealthily.
- Sortie (Conqueror (World of Warships)): Heroes arenât always what theyâre cracked up to be.
- Sortie (Phoenix and/or General Belgrano): Sunrise, sunset. As all things should be.
Design:
Conqueror is depicted as a girl in her mid-teens with golden yellow hair tied in pig-tails that extend down to her elbows, and ruby red eyes. Her attire is largely inspired by the equipment utilized by the Special Boat Squadron (now known as the Special Boat Service) during the early 1980s, and in particular during the Falklands War. She wears a black skin-tight one-piece wetsuit that covers her entire body, with the cut offs being around her hands and halfway down to the calves of her legs. Among her equipment is a snorkel on her right shoulder, though not worn, and comes with a L9A1 Browning Hi-Power pistol in her left hand. In addition, Conqueror wears a red crystal around her neck in the shape and style of Phoenixâs tie at the end of her hair, symbolizing a prize for sinking her in the Falklands War.
Her rigging is largely the same as her submarine model, but functions as a one-man Submarine Delivery Vehicle for which she rides on top, with the control mechanism being on two handles on each side of the sail (akin to how I-56 operates her rigging)
A/N:
This sub was suggested to me by
u/A444SQ, I hope you enjoyed this rendition of Conqueror as I did making it.
The historical HMS Conqueror (or rather the last iteration of her) is a fascinating ship and one that I figure would be deserving of its UR spot given its single defining achievement. But this would also be my first UR submarine (at least my first not named Alicorn which is OP even by Ace Combat standards) and with nothing to base it on, it's difficult and might actually be a bit underpowered by comparison. It is what it is I suppose.
As always, if you want to suggest a ship or retrofit in the future, please leave it in the comments below, you can also reach me via DM's to make your suggestions as well. We're returning to Operation Weissenburg next time with Tier VIII Battlecruiser, a design dating to March 1918 but was depicted by WeeGee to be developed in 1944, with their take on Schnelle GroĂekampfschiffe 4531, KMS Zieten.

Main things I need advice on;
Vaccines - my doctor suggested hep A and Typhoid. do most people get these? What about hep B, Malaria, Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies. Other medicines we should buy from chemist upon arrival as a preventative
Insurance - for health/hospital bills, for hotels/flights if there are any issues that arise. We plan to stay in a nice hotel for the first week, then average places for the remaining 3 weeks. should we book everything in advance? should we book return flights? will insurance cover if there is an issue? overstaying the visa?
Currency- Take Aud there? where to transfer? Cash or Card? I have recently ordered a travel card from my bank to use as a debit card for travelling.
Overpacking- I struggle to not pack half of my wardrobe, any hot tips?
Any help/advice is welcomed :D hehe xx

2023.06.07 14:20 hookedonfob Mid-life crisis?
Does anyone ever feel like they have missed out on alot just by becoming a mom at a young age?
Let me explain. I'm 36 years old, and have 4 kids. My oldest is 15 and my youngest will be 8 next week. When I had my oldest, I had just turned 21.
At the time, I was working from job to job, just to make ends meet. I didn't finish high school, I ran away from home at 16 (that's a long story, but leaving got me out of that situation, and it was better for my mental health) I was mostly partying when I wasn't working, just to not feel anything anymore.
When I got pregnant with my son, things changed. I stopped getting high and started taking care of myself. I got pregnant within 2 months of meeting my husband (we're common law)
At the time he was on call for a moving company. Not long before I gave birth to our son, he decided to quit.
We wound up moving to a bigger city next to us. To be able to have more job opportunities. I never went back to work. I stayed home with our son to avoid daycare costs, and then I got pregnant with our second child... The last 3 kids were all born within 6 years of each other.
Now, all of the kids are old enough to fend for themselves a bit. I'm still at home, here just to go pick them up for lunch and bring them back to school. I don't drive... Some days I hate walking around everywhere (he doesn't have his license either)
My husband has been working for a landlord for the past 13 years... I'm his 'assistant' but to be honest, I hate the job. It doesn't pay me as well as it should.
When I talk to him about going back to school, he shuts me down, telling me that at my age it's really stupid with 4 kids to want to go back to school, and that if it's something I really wanted to do, I should have done it before having kids. When I talk to him about going back to work, finding a real job, he tells me that he won't be able to get certain tax returns if I go back to work... Part of me hates my life. This sucks. I don't go out, haven't bought myself anything new in years.... I'm always last. For everything and everyone.
I can't even follow people I went to school with on social media. Most of them have gone to university and have incredible careers.... Whereas, I have nothing. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and I sleep on a pull out couch with my husband. I feel like I failed myself somewhere along the way....
Does anyone else feel that way? Like they've missed out on the best years of their lives?

2023.06.07 14:19 silkylychee I (22F) 'attached' myself with my partner (22M) after I try to do harmful thing on his birthday.
Hello! I reposted this story because the title I posted before contained Moral Judgement. I also do cross checking on the grammar and added some part of how i feel recently.
If this post by any chance triggering or maybe uncomfortable to read, please do just scroll. [ English isn't my first language, i will try my best to elaborate it ]
So, I (22) and my bf (22) are currently in a complicated situation about our relationship. We started dating a year ago (April). He confessed to me that he likes me, after 3 years I've been secretly having a crush on him. So this relationship started with me being his secret admirer and finally got noticed.
We were a happy go lucky couple before it started. But since the beginning, I have been an 'edgy' person. Maybe, I still am. I realize that I have a very bad mental condition and bad coping mechanism. It happened because of some past events that affect me this much. I put some part of it here [it will be relevant] â In 2014 (i was 13 back then), i get many traumatic events. - I was getting s3xu4l 455ault (r4p3 attempt, groping, touching, and many nasty things without my consent), and manipulating me to trust that itâs âokayâ to do that. The perpetrator also terrorizes me and often goes to my home. This sexual assault making me lose my virginity. Losing virginity means that you are no longer worthy and it is a symbol of impurity. I have no control over it nor a consent since I didn't properly get information about consent and sex edu.
- My father got a stroke. The reason is hypertension. A week before my father got the stroke, he slapped me twice, for trivial reasons (I went home from school 1 hour late to do a school project). But, I was pushed by my mom to beg for his forgiveness, even though until now my father never even felt sorry for it or even say he is sorry.
- My mom nearly commiting suicide because my father is teasing and flirting with his own colleagues. Both in the back, and in front of my mother.
But all of the events are repressed. So I have a bad coping mechanism. I am very secretive to that information because I'm afraid people will no longer accept me as who I am. Those events also take a toll on me. I have very bad self esteem, high insecurity, and often feel lonely because I'd rather cut every friend I have so they don't have to know me, unworthy, and showing signs of depression. â My bf and I are friends at college, we were in the same field of study and classes. I had a crush on him for a whole 3 years, and suddenly he confessed that he has feelings for me and we were dating. At first, we were happy. We were connected to every opinion we have, hobbies, likes and dislikes, even imaginary things. We clicked on many things and it was fun. At first, I was afraid to tell him that I'm not a virgin. But he is very reassuring. So I told him anyway, and he seemed to accept it. But I have a very low insecurity, low self esteem, etc. So I often disbelieve him, and at some point I often get too obsessive with him and scared that he will leave.
On his birthday, i was going to his apartment to celebrate it. But i was unemployed, and broke. So i feel guilty not preparing anything for him. I just create a Carrd (website) and some cheesy text. But my feeling that day is off. I feel sad, anxious, and very guilty that I don't have anything to give to him. At first, it was all good because i know i can spending time with him. But, I feel lonely.
We have this agreement that it is okay for us to just chill, stay silent, and just enjoy each other's company. But that night I felt so miserable and I just wanted him to spend time with me. But he's watching Youtube Shorts in the room while I feel lonely in the living room.
And then my thoughts are telling me that I'm not worthy, he's not even bat an eye even when I am with him right now, do i really need to be here? It's better if he's celebrating his birthday with family.
So I storm into the room while being sulky, but he still watches Youtube Shorts. I was mad, I told him that he should just celebrate his birthday with his family. For a proper celebration.
I almost text my friend to judge if my feeling is caused by myself or him.
And then finally I got his attention, but he burst into tears. He's saying that I was being unfair to him, to be judged by my friend (that will eventually be biased), to say that he should celebrate the birthday with his family (because he told his family that he's celebrating with the bois). He then curled up and refused to be touched.
But I feel like it was also unfair that I was the one who came to him but he isn't even attentive to me. It takes my money and hours to get to him (we live in a different city). So, there were destructive thoughts. It feels suffocating that when I open up my feelings, I also get blamed.
It feels suffocating and I have the urge to rush into the balcony to get some air. Maybe at some part of my brain, telling me to just suicide. But, I really feel suffocated.
I ran to the balcony, he chased me, and yelled 'what are you doing?'
and i just answer with 'i should've just die'
We argued, and then he slapped me. It's not a hard slap, but it sure brings back those bad memories about my father.
I was scared that eventually he would treat me like my father did to me. And I was screaming and crying.
So much happened that night, and I regret it every single day. â On our anniversary, I was giving him a book that contains a mini comic about us, and google drive filled with our photos and notes about my point of view about him. Thereâs this one Gdocs that I created including thoughts about what happened on that night. But I missed many parts of the story because I was typing it 2 hours before I went to meet him.
But suddenly it became a fuel fight. He mentioned that I didn't remember the important part of the story, and it hurts him so much that I choose not to remember that. He said that I chose to remember the better version of that night, but he was suffers to how he remember it completely.
He told me that it was pure gaslight that I did the whole night, and how I don't remember it was a cruel thing to do.
He also told me that he couldnât forgive me. â I didn't forget any of it. Even the whole thing that happened to me nearly 10 years ago is still intact perfectly in my memory, and it was also unfair that I created a whole book for him but he just sees the bad parts of the things i created.
I missed many parts of the story because I was rushed. And I try to dig every single piece of my mind to create another GDocs so I'm not missing any part again. â It's been 5 months since then, and I try my best to fix myself so I don't do any destructive behavior again. I've been go to therapy, try self love and forgiving myself, and many things so i don't ever relapsed again.
I promised myself not to suicide again because now i know how it affects other people. But, I think he feels burdened by being with me. He often suddenly turns cold, not showing me affection, and not even saying âi love youâ. Itâs cheesy, but sometimes I need that too. â We, no, He actually did try to break up with me at least for the third time. But, I still have these positive thoughts about âwe can fix this, give me another chance, we will be okayâ. So he gave me the last chance. He also told me that I was toxic to be attached to him like that, that I was lucky it was him that I cling onto. But, actually it makes me scared that I was not worthy to feel being in love again. While I've been good and try to forgive myself for my past trauma, this current event is actually crushing my mind. â I've buried this story in my mind because I don't have anyone to talk to. I was scared to talk about this to my family/friends/even someone that knows one of us because he said it before it was unfair for other people to judge. So I'm just scared it will be biased and will put him on the bad side.
Also, I'm doing counseling with a psychologist but it was solely on my past traumatic events.
So, any advice on this relationship situation?

2023.06.07 14:15 Neon_Tusk_of_Camblor Roast me: a guide to two lunch spots i wrote in 2019 (and forgot about so updated the dates etc)
Being an average human being in Wellington in the year of our lord, the universally depressing year of 2023, is a unique existence.
Our capital city, the home to the machinations of politics, of wind and rain and an unusable library and so many shades of black that an ordinary Wellingtonian can determine between a coat of Midnight in May or Winters Darkest Forlorn, is yet home to so many wonderful edible incursions and you, as I, the Average Wellington Office Worker, or for future reference, the AWOW, have no shortage of choice.
However many the options, ultimately there exists the limitation of our hard earned dollar.
Toiling, as you or I do, in the acid mines of life, for those blood dollar rewards from our whip weilding lizard lords, means we should be more discerning toward delicious sustenance and ensure this reaches the ultimate equilibrium of value to deliciousness.
Herein, is this AWOWs picks for the best lunch bang for your buck;
In earnest, a manâs anus is touched at very few times in his life; prostate checkup, special secret time at church, and at Soul Shack on Victoria Street. The spice level of your fried chicken burger begins at a gentle nudge toward friendship with a fiery chum and concludes with a 14 hour throat invocation to Cthulhu as your physical existence begins to degrade and leak, mostly from your rear. $22 dollars with fries, an absolute bargain!
As Heracles laboured through Herculean tasks, so do Wellingtonians labour through tasks Wellingtonian; namely plotting our paths from the train station to avoid the rain (meaning a couple of tactical crossings to and from featherston Street) and justifying our roles at the Ministry of Whatever. No place in Wellington better represents our desire to seek solace from the shitty story of our lives than Fishermans Plate on Bond Street.
Number 24, rare beef Pho. This is all you need to know. People undergo vomitus ayahuasca ceremonies to attempt to seek enlightenment and become one with their spirit, but all they need is that first slurp of Number 24.
The spirit, crushed by the sickening awareness of our insignificance in a city of darkening greys, of bus delays and rising parking prices, of poorly insulated homes and rising rents, is renewed with this slurp; a life giving liquor. $17, an absolute must.

2023.06.07 14:13 hearden Golden Vault Conversion: The Murkmire Malevolence (1st-level)
It's been awhile since I played this so this post is quite delayed, but I'm here now with my deeper dive into setting the Golden Vault adventures in Wildemount.
Anthology Conversion (original post)
I'll be covering the following sections â
Location,
Lore,
Experience,
Future, and
Resources â for the 1st-level adventure, The Murkmire Malevolence.
âYouâve got to steal the Murkmire Stone and bring it back so I can save the city!â
Location
I like the Varkenbluff Museum of Natural History being in a big city â it makes sense for them to then have the resources available to magic-ward the building in the various ways we see in the adventure. A smaller city could have such a museum, but a large or small town definitely not.
For examples of such cities, I recommend Rexxentrum, Zadash, Nicodranas, Port Damali, Rosohna, or Uthodurn.
My personal preference, as well as where I set this the two times I ran it, is Rexxentrum. I just like how having it in the Empire opens up the possibility of tying Cerberus Assembly stuff into it, including Dr. Dannell's involvement and the museum's arcane traps and workings.
Lore
With that in mind, this section isn't necessary, but if you're looking to give some flavor to the adventure to make it feel more immersed in the world, as opposed to just a drop-in module, then there's a lot to work with.
Dr. Cassee Dannell, first of all, could be an archaeologist who works for the Soltryce Academy, Hall of Erudition, or the Marble Tomes Conservatory, both being arcane universities. I would say the Cobalt Soul Archives don't work in this case since they're not as much an arcane-focused organization.
Curator Alda Arkin could just be a freelance fence working independently, but she could
also be a Myriad fence, using the museum as her cover.
If you're not using the Golden Vault as your group's patron, mages who're interested in the Murkmire Stone â such as Doolan Tversky, Yussa Errenis, Vess deRogna, or Essek Thelyss â could either be hiring the party to grab the stone for them
or could be the ones funding the stone's safekeeping for the gala... and then perhaps Alda sneaks it away after the gala to be delivered directly to them. Who knows!
Experience
I ran this adventure twice with two different groups. It was pretty straightforward, hence why this post is on the shorter end compared to my other conversion posts. A lot of the additions I made were simply flavor ones, having the PCs know certain NPCs already or being familiar with the museum using the given hooks or expanding on an NPC's written personality to include a brief backstory that helped make them feel less one-dimensional (especially for an adventure that has so many named NPCs).
The two groups I ran were for a oneshot with 5 players and for an anthology series side campaign with 2 players. Both were set in Rexxentrum with the same NPCs quirks and backstories.
The
oneshot group was first, so I learned from all of my mistakes with them. Party was warlock, monk, Draconic sorcerer, artificer, and rogue.
I had had their meeting with Dannell in the morning, as the book said, but since the gala was at night, they took that as an opportunity to go around the museum during business hours (the Gemstone Wing was, of course, closed and cordoned off). That let them get the layout of the museum
before the gala, as opposed to having to attend the gala and plan at the same time.
Hilariously, the warlock kept trying to get in with the guards as a new hire but wouldn't back down even when the guards told her that Alda hired guards directly herself, so there was no such "job posting" asking for new hires. This almost busted their recon period since Alda got suspicious when one of the guards came to her office saying that the warlock was claiming to be a family friend, too, but eventually Alda got busy and ignored this after telling the guards to shoo the warlock off.
The party left themselves an escape rope hanging from the skylight (the rogue had climbed the building from the outside during the recon portion) and then hid in the bathrooms or the supply closets after the gala.
I accidentally skipped over the part where the animatronic doesn't attack anyone and just jumps downstairs to wreak havoc. Sureth died in this oneshot because she was standing 5 feet away from the animatronic when the artificer activated it from the other side then quickly backed up. The animatronic crit on her, but she got revived at the end of the story by the Golden Vault cleaning things up.
The warlock also was knocked unconscious because (since I hadn't sent the animatronic downstairs and the party was in hiding watching Maryam and the guards fight it) she fled downstairs to create a distraction, and the guards down there knocked her out. She was arrested but I had their Golden Vault handler come by and talk her free.
On the bright side, the artificer did end up in a relationship with Dr. Dannell, who he came into the adventure having an established crush on, so that was cute.
In the wrap-up, we established that the party convinced Dannell to quit her association with the Soltryce Academy and go do research and similar work for the Golden Vault. The museum was shut down for investigation by the Cerberus Assembly and the Crown, and its future of ever being open again was put into question because of the havoc that'd been caused by the animatronic killing Sureth.
In terms of runtime, that group did 6 hours with 1 hour debrief, 3 hours prep, and 2 hours heist/combat.
The
anthology group was second and only had two players, so I extra scaled everything down (removed half HP from everything). Part was Clockwork Soul sorcerer and rogue.
Same thing happened with the "early meeting" and "late gala" prep time â they wanted to go in during business hours to recon because there was still a whole day to kill. I've been recommended that, perhaps, the DM should skip from the meeting to the gala immediately, but I think that players might still say "hey, we had all of those hours to kill, we could've been doing recon then, too". In that case, maybe it'd be for the best that Dannell meets with them shortly before the gala so that there's no time to really do separate recon.
The sorcerer and rogue pretended to be on a date, and since this is an anthology connected to my campaign, we had a lot more stuff to work with. (The players were controlling NPCs-turned-PC-sheets that they've met before and are allies with in the campaign; the anthology is basically "what were these characters doing while y'all were not with them?") My favorite part being that they were both nobles, so I played off the idea that everyone knew them... which then made them have to work around the fact that people knew their faces so they couldn't be too suspicious since it'd be too easy to catch and identify them.
The rogue was the eldest child of Watchmaster Brunda Gleshin (and the black sheep of their family), so I had them know Maryam as a former Watch captain who'd retired to take on private museum security (it pays better than law enforcement). There was a
lot of snarky back and forth between the rogue and Maryam because of that once they had gone up to scope out the second floor. This was my favorite interaction:
Micha: We'll leave you alone, but nice to see that you've taken up this... position.
Maryam: Mhm.
Micha: I'm sure my mother is very proud of you.
Maryam: Can't say the same for you.
They also set the skylight up for later, mingle at the gala (Watchmaster Gleshin is there, much to the rogue's chagrin), and then make their leave. But they don't actually leave and go in through the basement, fight the mimic, go into the records room and Alda's office and kill Marigold. Then they leave again and head up to the attic to wait for the museum's closing.
They'd previously tried to talk up some guards to see who they could maybe flip during the heist... but then when it comes time for them to come out of hiding, both of them discover that the guards have all changed positions so now the guard set-up they'd lifted is useless.
(This was
fully because they chose to come in early and Maryam saw the rogue walking around during normal business hours, so she went and tipped off Alda right before the gala. I thought it was a nice touch since the rogue was acting real cocky and it further emphasized their bad reputation for being a troublemaker around town, that any Crownsguard who knew them would automatically think they're up to something.)
At the end of the day, both heists were successful, although the oneshot group definitely had more chaos going on, likely due to the number of players and the fact that I'd missed the line about the animatronic not causing real people damage. The oneshot group swapped the stone for the replica while the anthology players swapped the stone for a sack of ten pounds of adventuring gear... because it was "more fun". When I pointed out that that meant they'd probably know that the sorcerer and rogue did it since they were the only adventurers casing the museum earlier in the day, the rogue replied, "Yeah. We want them to know! They can't catch us. With what proof?"
I also found that Cassee was popular to flirt with. I mean, she's a dorky archaeologist, so I guess that was written in the stars already. In the oneshot group, as aforementioned, the artificer ended up dating her, but in the anthology group, the rogue tried to flirt with her and ask her out for dinner... but she declined because they were
way too boisterous and high energy for her. (In comparison, the artificer from the other group was also shy and quiet like her, so she appreciated that... and his starting hook was knowing Dannell through academics, so there was that.)
Future
There's already future hooks discussed in this adventure, so I won't repeat those. However, I think because of the huge amount of named NPCs in this adventure, there's a lot of opportunities to reuse them later on, especially if you're running the adventures as connected like I am for my anthology group. Could be a nice callback.
The museum guards, if the museum is shut down, could reappear as guards in a later adventure, showing that they had to find somewhere else to work.
Alda Arkin, if her fencing was never discovered, could rise up to do bigger work and be involved with a later heist, such as Masterpiece Imbroglio.
Even Dr. Dannell herself could reappear in a later adventure that has to do with arcane magic or weird creatures (perhaps Markos Delphi has correspondence with her about eldritch horrors?).
I'm currently playing with the idea that Franceena, who the anthology rogue gave the business card of their dueling academy they run to, could have gone and taken those dueling lessons and become stronger over time, reappearing in a mid tier adventure (Vidorant's Vault?) as part of a rival crew. I haven't implemented it yet since I'm also considering using the Thieves' Gallery from
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves as a rival crew, but who knows! It's fun to think about, regardless.
As a side note, I also love that Dr. Horthnar Stonecrusher shares a name with Torgja Stonecrusher of the prewritten rival crew. It could be that it's just a happenstance of having the same name, especially since they're both dwarves... but I think it could also be fun if they're related â maybe he's her father and he mentions at the gala how his daughter has run off with some 'petty thieves'? And then she appears later as part of the rival crew!
In addition, I didn't get to implement this because I thought of it
after I'd run both games, but I had the idea of dropping foreshadowing objects in the displays to hint at later Golden Vault adventures (similar to the museum episode of
Black Mirror, iykyk). These obviously can't
all be the MacGuffins of the adventures because those MacGuffins have to be somewhere, but maybe they could be allusions to characters the players will encounter or locations they'll go to.
- a casino chip from Afterlife for Stygian Gambit
- a plaque about the Celestial Codex or the actual book itself (donated by Vasil and later stolen by Markos after the events of this adventure because so many of the guards quit and he was able to sneak in easier) for Reach for the Stars
- tools that were used to build Revel's End, a painting of Revel's End, or the needles/original tech that was later used to make Prisoner 13's magic tattoos for Prisoner 13
- a bunch of automatons or clockwork trinkets for Tockworth's Clockworks
- a replica of the Constantori's Portrait for Masterpiece Imbroglio
- an exhibit of things donated by Froderic Dartwild before his death for Axe from the Grave
- an exhibit of a master thief whose identity is unknown and their many exploits, including stealing the ruby diadem of the Goldenbeard family for Vidorant's Vault
- a mural about Xeluan and his friends' heroic deeds for Shard of the Accursed
- an art installation of glasswork from Ghalasine for Heart of Ashes
- a model automated train replica of the Concordant Express that educates viewers on how the Outer Planes work OR plaques talking about all of the cases Ignatius Inkblot has solved for Affair on the Concordant Express
- a plaque talking about a Shard Solitaire, the many rumored variants of it, and how Varkenbluff has tried to acquire one from a famous adventurer, Zorhanna Adulare, but she hasn't been willing to part with it for Party at Paliset Hall
- and finally an exhibit/plaque/mural about the efreeti tyrant Vrakir, his long reign of terror destroying cities, and his unknown whereabouts now for Fire and Darkness
Resources
No third-party supplements were used in either of my runs of this adventure.
My Playlists: Gala /
Heist /
Combat Conclusion
My rating for this adventure doesn't change from my original conversion post of the book.
8/10 - simple, effective, and meets all of the three pillars. The anthologies usually don't miss with the 1st-level adventures. I docked points simply because the flavor and setting was a bit predictable, but it makes sense to start an anthology with a classic museum heist.
Overall, it's still very fun, and both groups loved it when I ran it for how 'classic heist' it feels. It's got a lot of potential for future hooks
Hope you enjoyed, thanks for reading, and happy gaming!

2023.06.07 14:11 AleristheSeeker [Online] [PF1e] [Spheres of Power] Looking for DMs for a collaborative "One City Setting"-project
[Online][Pathfinder 1e][Spheres of Power]
NOTE: This post is searching for DMs - if you're a player looking for a game, you'll sadly have to look a little further. Tales of Tomboro
System: Pathfinder 1e,
Spheres of Power, Might and Guile (being added to the wiki as we speak)
Platform: Discord / Various
Time: N/A
This is a somewhat odd ad. I'm not looking for players but rather around
2-4 other DMs that might be interested in a
collaborative project.
This project entails:
- Creating a setting together; I have tried my best to build a "foundation" that can serve as a base to build upon
- Running own games within the same setting, cooperating with the other DMs to synchronize changes the different groups have made in the setting and share them
- Every now and then, holding Events that allow the different groups to interact
- Sharing ideas, feedback, expertise, etc. to create fun campaigns, build out the setting and write the story of the players in the setting, but
- Communicate and cooperate with other DMs to avoid and solve conflicts, both between visions, people and, quite honestly, me.
Some general remarks about the setting. None of this is set in stone, of course, but is part of the "foundation" (ironically):
- the Setting is, so far, meant to be only a single City. Anything (far) beyond the city walls is "off screen"
- this City is a large metropolis built on mysterious ruins that offer a multitude of chances for adventures
- it is a City of adventurers, with people from all corners of the world (let's not get too deep into the worldbuilding implications here) and of any vocation
- the biggest (although not by much) attraction is the "Great Academy of Magic", which is both a center for magical research and university
- the city is relatively peaceful, as of right now - although that is bound to change.
Now for the introductory text - this is originally written with players in mind, but might still give a general idea:
Somewhere in some world, between one or another mountain range and any forest, lies the mystical City of Tomboro. It is home to the Great Academy of Magic, a multitude of people, one stranger than the last, a mass of unexplored ruins that form its foundation and countless adventures and oddities, ready to be found by those brave or crazy enough to seek them out.
What lies beyond the city walls is wildly uninteresting in the face of the largest city on this world, filled with magic and mistrust, companionship and conspiracies, adversaries and adventure. Will you seek out the riches of the ruins? Get to know the townsfolk and help it with its troubles? Are you but a student, coming here to study at the Great Academy of Magic? Perhaps you have always lived here and are down on your luck after a mishap with the Thieves' Guild? Or perhaps you are looking to become part of the dark underbelly of the City that keeps the nobles entertained? Perhaps, you are destined for greater things, such as becoming a noble yourself?
Whatever it is that has brought you into this city, it will be something the bards will sing about (perhaps even with instruments, if you're not too stingy...) and that will inspire others to do the same - or the opposite, depending on how you fare.
Welcome, to the City of Legends, past, present and future! Welcome... To the City of Tomboro!
Thank you for even reading this far, I know it's a lot. Here is a Link to some further information if you're interested in the idea in general.
If you're interested or have additional questions, shoot me a direct message - I'll be happy to answer!

2023.06.07 14:10 DeploraBill92 Air Quality in AC This Weekend
Hi,
I hope this an appropriate post for this sub. My friends and I are planning a trip to Atlantic City from Friday-Sunday, have various things planned, including the outdoor HQ2 Pool Party Saturday afternoon.
As many of you may already be aware, there are wild fires raging in Nova Scotia, Canada at the moment. The smoke has drifted down the coast, and their is currently an Air Quality Advisory in NYC and the surrounding areas. If you look up pictures of the sky from the Yankee game last night, you can see how eerie the haze is.
That being said, I was wondering if anyone that is near AC (I am in the Poconos so I'm not really close) has any idea the rumblings for this weekend. Will the air still be bad? I heard the advisory goes through Thursday night, but who knows how long this will last. If the haze is still bad, is there a chance that any outdoor events get cancelled? Or even indoor clubs?
I know these questions may be impossible to answer, but just wanted to do my due diligence in case I need to cancel the deposits on my hotel room

2023.06.07 14:08 Spinsvilla The Ultimate Guide to Winning Big: Uncovering the Most Popular Casino Games
đ·
Welcome to the ultimate guide on winning big at the casino! For many of us, the thrill of gambling and the excitement of hitting the jackpot is an experience like no other. But with so many options available, it can be overwhelming to know which games to play and which to avoid. Thatâs why weâve created this comprehensive guide to uncovering the most
popular casino games, complete with tips and strategies for increasing your chances of success. From classic table games like blackjack and roulette to the latest digital slot machines, weâll explore the ins and outs of each game and provide expert insights on how to beat the odds. So whether youâre a seasoned gambler or a beginner looking to hit it big, this guide has everything you need to know to increase your chances of winning at the casino. Letâs get started!
Understanding the odds and payouts
Before we delve into specific games, itâs important to understand the basics of odds and payouts. Every casino game has a built-in house edge, which means that the odds are always slightly in favor of the house. This is how casinos make their money, so itâs important to keep this in mind when playing any game.
One of the most important factors to consider when playing a casino game is the payout percentage. This is the percentage of money that the game will pay back over time. For example, if a game has a payout percentage of 95%, this means that over time, the game will pay back 95 cents for every dollar that is wagered. The higher the payout percentage, the better your chances of winning.
Itâs also important to understand the difference between true odds and payout odds. True odds are the actual odds of
winning a bet, whereas payout odds are the amount that a casino pays out for a win. The difference between these two numbers is the house edge.
Slot machines - how they work and tips to win
Slot machines are one of the most popular casino games, and for good reason. Theyâre easy to play, require no skill or strategy, and offer the possibility of hitting a huge jackpot with just one spin. But how do slot machines actually work?
At its most basic level, a slot machine is a random number generator. When you press the button or pull the lever, the machine generates a random number that corresponds to a particular combination of symbols on the reels. If the symbols line up in the correct combination, you win.
There are a few tips and tricks that can help you increase your chances of winning at slot machines. First, itâs important to choose a machine with a high payout percentage. Look for machines that have a payout percentage of 95% or higher. Itâs also a good idea to bet the maximum amount on each spin, as this increases your chances of hitting a big jackpot.
Blackjack - rules and strategies
Blackjack is a classic casino game that has been around for centuries. The basic rules are simple â the goal is to have a hand that is closer to 21 than the dealerâs hand, without going over 21. But there are many strategies that can be used to increase your chances of winning.
One of the most important things to keep in mind when playing blackjack is to always assume that the dealerâs face-down card is a 10. This means that if the dealer is showing a 6, for example, you should assume that their face-down card is a 10, giving them a total of 16. This can help you make better decisions about when to hit or stand.
Another important strategy is to always split aces and 8s. This gives you two opportunities to get a hand of 21, and also helps to minimize your losses. Itâs also a good idea to stand on a hand of 17 or higher, as the chances of going over 21 are high.
Roulette - types, bets, and tactics
Roulette is a classic casino game that is based purely on luck. The game consists of a spinning wheel with numbered slots, and a ball that is dropped onto the wheel. The goal is to place a bet on where the ball will land.
There are two main types of roulette â American and European. The American version has an extra double zero slot, which increases the house edge. Itâs always a better idea to play the European version if itâs available.
There are many different types of bets that can be placed in roulette, including straight bets, split bets, and corner bets. Itâs important to understand the odds of each type of bet before placing your chips.
Baccarat - gameplay and winning tips
Baccarat is a popular casino game that is often associated with high rollers and VIPs. The game is simple â the goal is to have a hand that is closest to 9. But there are many different strategies that can be used to increase your chances of winning.
One of the most important things to keep in mind when playing baccarat is to always bet on the banker. The banker bet has a lower house edge than the player bet, which means that youâre more likely to win.
Another important strategy is to keep track of the shoe. Baccarat uses a shoe of cards that is shuffled before each hand. By keeping track of which cards have been dealt, you can make better decisions about when to place your bets.
Poker - variations and skills required
Poker is a game of skill that requires strategy, patience, and a bit of luck. There are many different variations of poker, including Texas Holdâem, Omaha, and Seven Card Stud.
One of the most important skills in poker is the ability to read your opponents. This means paying attention to their body language, betting patterns, and facial expressions to determine what kind of hand they have.
Another important strategy is to know when to fold. Many players make the mistake of holding onto a bad hand for too long, hoping that theyâll get lucky on the next card. But in the long run, this is a losing strategy.
Craps - how to play and win
Craps is a fast-paced casino game that is popular among both beginners and experienced players. The game consists of a pair of dice and a table with various betting options.
One of the most important things to keep in mind when playing craps is to always bet on the pass line. This gives you the best odds of winning, as the house edge is only 1.41%.
Another important strategy is to take advantage of the free odds bet. This is a bet that can be placed after the point has been established, and has no house edge.
Other popular casino games - keno, bingo, and more
In addition to the classic casino games, there are many other popular games that can be found at casinos around the world. These include games like keno, bingo, and scratch cards.
Keno is a lottery-style game that is similar to bingo. The game consists of a board with numbers from 1 to 80, and players must choose up to 10 numbers. A random number generator then selects the winning numbers.
Bingo is another popular game that is based on luck. The game consists of a board with numbers, and players must mark off the numbers as they are called out.
Beginner's guide to casino etiquette
When playing at a casino, itâs important to follow certain rules of etiquette to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience. This includes things like not touching other playersâ chips, not smoking at the table, and not using your cellphone while playing.
Itâs also important to be respectful to the dealers and other players. Remember that everyone is there to have fun, and itâs important to be courteous and friendly.
Online casino games vs. land-based casino games
With the rise of online casinos, many players are now choosing to play their
favorite games from the comfort of their own homes. But how do online casino games compare to land-based casino games?
One of the biggest differences is the atmosphere. Land-based casinos offer a unique and exciting experience that canât be replicated online. But online casinos are convenient and offer a wider variety of games.
Itâs also important to consider the safety and security of online casinos. Make sure to choose a reputable online casino that is licensed and regulated.
Responsible gambling practices
Gambling can be a fun and exciting activity, but itâs important to gamble responsibly. This means setting a budget and sticking to it, never borrowing money to gamble, and never chasing your losses.
Itâs also important to know when to take a break. If you feel like youâre losing control, itâs important to step away from the game and seek help if necessary.
Conclusion
We hope that this guide has been helpful in uncovering the most popular casino games and providing tips and strategies to increase your chances of winning. Remember to always gamble responsibly, and have fun!

2023.06.07 14:08 MisterGallows Brand New ONE PIECE Fanfiction Series!
Hello, my friends! This is my very first post on this page, and honestly i can't believe it's taken me so long. Thank you for letting me join up and be a part of this awesome community!:)
My name is Danny Gallows, and i am a writer and musician. I was a late bloomer to OP, having only started watching the show in the summer of 2020, but since then it has become a massive part of my life and is currently, by far, my new favorite anime. I just started watching the Zou arc last week, and my OP energy has never been higher! I originally began watching OP at a time in my life when i really need happiness and inspiration, and being able to continuously join the Straw Hat's on their adventures has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
And that brings me to my post today! As i mentioned, i am an proud independent author, focusing on mostly fantasy/fanfiction. I usually create books for shows/movies/games that inspire me, and have since released two Star Wars books, as well as a Dark Crystal novel. But for the past year or so I've also had many ideas for a OP arc floating around in my head, so i began to fill up some notebooks. And after the "Raizo is safe" moment, i was so inspired that i finally decided to sit down and start it.
I figured because this community page allows some self promotion, this would be the best place to share it:) So i wanted to let you all know! Here is the book's description:
"The Lighthouse Empire Arc takes place immediately after the Fishman Island Arc, as the crew sails North to their next destination. After seeing a mysterious light on the horizon, the crew soon finds themselves on the doorstep of a massive floating city the size of a real island. In the shape of a star, with colorful lighthouses at each point, the made-made city is 80K strong, with 5 ships and their captains, as well as a commodore named Dani Sky, a man who ate the sky-sky fruit, leading his humble civilization with pride and power. Yet soon after the crew arrives, they find themselves adrift in a sea of darkness, as Naval forces descend like a ferocious storm upon the empire. As the crew will soon discover, the humble family that cares for this place harbors evil histories they have been trying to escape. Now that Luffy has befriended them, their situation becomes his responsibly."
So far i already have one episode completed, and i release them one half at a time. I have writing fever right now, so the plan is to release something new every week. Oda has always been a huge inspiration for me, and i believe that both cosplay and fanfiction are the most sincere forms of respect and gratitude us fans can show. And sense i can't cosplay--except for maybe Fat Luffy--writing is definitely my forte!
Unlike my normal books, which obviously read like books, this series is set up to read as if you were watching the show itself. So the descriptions are short and literal, everything is in present tense, and it's formatted more like a screenplay, which makes it easier for those who are familiar with watching the show. Needless to say, this is a massive undertaking and it will most likely take me another year or so to complete, as it's a full arc. Something i always want to make clear is that i do not write traditional fanfiction, which is often just short, poorly writen ideas. I create actual, well thought out books which could be canon. I like to think that if i have passion for what i'm writing about, i understand the characters and world well enough to make something realistic, and i'm definietly very confident in this new series!
Thank you so much for reading my long post. Sorry, but i'm writer--i write!:) And if you'd like to start a new OP adventure, i publish all of my work on Wattpad, so it's available to all and completely free to read. And please remember that much more is on the way soon, you're only at the very tip of the iceberg! I have tons of notes planned out for an extremely detailed arc, which will play out just like any other arc you may enjoy.
Here is the link to my page! :

2023.06.07 14:07 DemiGodInsanity Honkai Character Analysis: Silver Wolf
| Hello again fellow trailblazers! Today we're here to talk about Silver Wolf! This "alternate version" of Bronya who's now getting her release has quickly become a fan favorite, and so it's now the best time to cover what we know about her and what we can gather from Honkai Impact as well! Silver Wolf's splash art First of all, disclaimer: The Honkai: Star Rail characters and Honkai Impact 3rd characters who have the same name and similar appearances, except for Welt Yang, are NOT the same person, but instead you may think of them as something akin of parallel versions of each other! I go into detail about this and how the Honkai universe works here! Now let's get into it! First, let's go over what we know about Silver Wolf in Star Rail. She's a member of the Stellaron Hunters, working alongside Kafka and Blade, but she seems moreso along for the ride and to have some fun herself. She's a very skilled hacker who can do just about anything, to the point where she's even gained the ability to alter reality through her "aether editing" abilities. She sees the world as her own personal game that she can edit and play as she likes due to this and her very easygoing attitude. She comes from the world of Punklorde, and now travels along with the rest of the Stellaron Hunters. Her hacking skills are so impressive that she's even gone up against, and matched, Screwllum of the Genius Society. But what about her backstory? Silver Wolf's Story As a child, she was already addicted to videogames. She worked in a fast food restaurant, being the only employee there, and she had turned the basement into an arcade hall where patrons of the restaurant would come to play. There she played multiple games, including Pong, Battle Wheel 32, Geometric Wars, Odysseus and Star Cheetah, eventually beating all the high scores on all of them, her name becoming the only one on the lists. Having run out of things to do in the basement, and growing bored of the restaurant as a whole, she bid goodbye to the owner and left. Using her special weapon, Prometheus, she created some virtual partners as modules to keep her company, as those who worked alone on Punklorde wouldn't last long. She tried to find a job, something that could excite her, but soon she realized that, even alone, nothing on the world of Punklorde could satisfy her insatiable need to continue to improve and "get a new score", as she would think of it. Becoming a legend among the people of the world, she was eventually approached by a group of people. A man, a woman, a metal humanoid and one other. She joined, leaving Punklorde to go across the stars with the Stellaron Hunters. Though it's not a long story, we'll see that it actually brings some similarities to a certain character from a certain other game. This has caused much discussion among people discussing whether they are the same or not, and we'll talk about that now! Bronie, the Haxxor Bunny Say hello to Bronie! Bronie, in the Haxxor Bunny battlesuit Bronie is a character from Honkai Impact 3rd. She is a version of Bronya seen only in a certain Bubble World, who stars in a few different events, including the ongoing one at the time of writing. Before we talk about her, let's define Bubble Worlds really quick: The universe in the Honkai franchise is made up of different Worlds, represented by leaves on the Imaginary Tree. These are complete star systems, though it's unclear if Worlds can include multiple galaxies, just one, etc. Bubble Worlds, also called Bubble Universes in HI3, are instead fragmented versions of these worlds. They can be made naturally if a World falls off the Imaginary Tree, in other words losing its flow of Imaginary Energy, which eventually causes it to lose its integrity over time, and disappear in the Sea of Quanta (the space between the different "leaves", that makes up the rest of the universe that isn't occupied by Worlds). They can also be created artificially, and can be as small as to encompass only a single planet, or even a single moment in time, fragmented off of a World to form a very small bubble that preserves only that moment. Now that that's explained. Bronie comes from a Bubble World within the Sea of Quanta, which seems to encompass an alternate version of HI3's Earth. Specifically, Bronie lives within Arc City, a technologically advanced city which hides a lot of shady transactions, gangs and corrupt companies. Here, Bronie is regarded as a legendary hacker, involved with many of these shady dealings but always working alone. Bronie prepares for combat As you can see, she carries a pair of guns, known as Crusher Bunny 19C. She also controls drones, which help her during battle, for reconaissance missions and just for performing some general tasks when needed. But let's talk some about her story. As I've mentioned, she lives in this Bubble World's version of Arc City. Here, she works at a bar known as Raven's. This bar is named after its owner, Natasha Cioara, also known as Raven. (And yes, this is another version of HSR's Natasha, we'll get to her another day). She's also friends with a well known idol within Arc City, TeRiRi, this World's version of HI3's character Theresa. Bronie mocks TeRiRi Together, they infiltrate the Heliopolis Park, the main structure of Arc City, in order to grab a key that she had heard about in some intel. This is the key to the Light Curtain, a sort of barrier keeping Arc City separated from the rest of the world. As she finds the place where this key is being kept, she is stopped from getting it by a mysterious ninja. A mysterious fox-eared ninja Bronie is eventually able to escape along with the key, and her and TeRiRi retreat to Raven's. Here they meet with Cioara, who shows her worry and opposition to Bronie's work as an independent hacker. With all the gang activity and powerful people out there, working independently is not only an inefficient way to make money, but can also get you killed very easily. To show her disappointment, she goes so far as to call Bronie by her real name, Bronya. Cioara scolds Bronie After revealing that she was able to take the key, Bronie runs away as she wants to avoid confronting the owner of the bar, and TeRiRi follows behind her. Here it's revealed that Bronie herself was part of the Taixuan gang, but she left in order to expand her horizons and eventually leave the city. Their talk is interrupted by Gray Serpent, the one who sold Bronie the Heliopolis Park intel and a member of the Snake Eye gang. It seems the leader of this gang wishes to speak to Bronie, and so they follow him. She is led by an "introducer" named Rita, but she quickly figures out that she is, in fact, the leader she is supposed to meet. Bronie and Rita Snake Eye has in their possession another key to the Light Curtain. Three keys in total are needed, but the gang does not wish for the Light Curtain to fall, instead wishing to keep all the inhabitants of Arc City inside where it's surely safe. Therefore, Rita refuses to give the other key to Bronie, and attempts to take hers as well. After a battle, Bronie comes out as the victor, and Rita gracefully hands over the key. However, Bronie also figures out that she had been holding back. Rita reveals that she lost on purpose to create a story and give Bronie credibility, and warns that Snake Eye is nowhere near as powerful as the holders of the other two keys, Heliopolis and the Taixuan gang. Back in their hideout, Bronie and TeRiRi read some of Bronie's manga while they analyze the key. In one of them, TeRiRi reads about a samurai type of character who comes from a parallel universe. This seems to spark something in Bronie's mind, but she quickly brushes it off. Bronie finds a surveillance video of the ninja that attacked her underneath Heliopolis Park, witnessing her super advanced weapons and armor and her swiftness in defeating enemies. The girls bring the fight to Taixuan gang in order to retrieve the final key. Bronie and TeRiRi fighting the Taixuan gang Meanwhile, Bronie believes she's figured out the mysterious ninja, believing she is from beyond the Light Curtain, or more specifically, that just as the villain from that manga, she is from a parallel universe, explaining her advanced technology and powers. As they continue to mow down the opposition from the Taixuan gang, they eventually meet with its boss, Big Sister Fu Hua. Fu Hua, leader of the Taixuan gang Bronie challenges her to a match, just the two of them one against the other, something that hadn't been seen ever since Cioara had come to the Taixuan gang and challenged Fu Hua herself, with the prize on the line being taking Bronie away. When they arrive at the arena, Fu Hua instead reveals that Bronie will be fighting Cioara herself, to the death. Since they both want to stop her from leaving, Cioara agreed to be the one to fight her instead. Though Bronie puts up a good battle, Cioara is able to overpower her and push her to the edge of the arena. Cioara holds Bronie at the edge However, Bronie uses her drones to get herself out of this situation. Even if she cannot move, they can, and she blasts Cioara away. She reveals that the first shot had an anesthetic, and that she had knocked Cioara unconscious. Fu Hua reveals that she never had the intent of keeping the key from Bronie, and had already given it to Cioara as payment beforehand. Bronie and TeRiRi return to Raven's, carrying the unconscious Cioara. After Bronie and Theresa have a conversation about how much Bronie's grown, she decides to leave Raven's and go to look for the Curtain's core and finish this mission. With the blessing of both Cioara and TeRiRi, she prepares to go. Bronie's final thumbs up to Raven's She finds the Curtain's core, but is stopped by the ninja from before. She reveals that she had been after the core all along, and that Bronie had no use for it anyway as her goal simply required that it be removed. Bronie concludes, then, that the core must have another purpose, and thus decides not to hand it over to the ninja for free. As they battle, Bronie is able to set herself up and eventually is able to switch positions with the ninja, holding the core and placing herself closer to the exit. As she escapes, she triggers the security system to keep the ninja held up. Bronie prepares to leave Arc City, but the ninja finds her waiting at the northern exit. Bronie awaits the ninja at the edge of the city She decides to give the core to the ninja, but not without a price: she wants the ninja to take her to the world where she comes from. She refuses, as she says she cannot do it, but she agrees to teach Bronie how to leave the world she's currently in. Finally, it's revealed that the Light Curtain core is something known as an Ether Anchor. The assassin, whose name is Kasumi, was tasked by a mysterious individual to retrieve it. Meanwhile, Bronie is able to leave the bubble universe in which she lived and land in a place called the Hyperion. Though this isn't important for the story we're telling here, Bronie's world is part of a greater network of bubble worlds, addressed in Honkai's events to create a story called the Captainverse. I won't go into further details here about this, as it's not too important, but from here on, Bronie continues to travel to different bubble universes, including the one from the currently ongoing event in Honkai. Bronie appears in the new event, in a different bubble universe (along with Kasumi) Silver Wolf vs. Bronie So now we come to answer the question: Are Silver Wolf and Bronie the same person? If you've read the story of both, it should be pretty clear that the answer is no. However, it's also clear to see their similarities. Both grow up in a world with technological advancements, working in a barestaurant as its only employee, while also being very fond of technology and related culture. Both are incredible hackers of great renown who go around fighting against big gangs and people from the city while working alone, and both wish to leave their worlds after becoming bored, both achieving success in the end. However, it's clear that Bronie's world is not Punklorde, and it's clear that Bronie's travels to different bubble universes is not the same as Silver Wolf's travels to different worlds with the Stellaron Hunters. They are still similar, but not the same, and the inspiration is more than clear to see. The other Bronyas To finish off this post, I'd just like to address the multiple variations of Bronya along different HoYoverse games. Alongside HI3's Bronya, Bronie, Star Rail's Bronya, Silver Wolf, and Gun Girls Z's Bronya, all of which are very different (though GGZ's Bronya and HI3's Bronya are the closest in character), there is also one more "Bronya", which may confuse some people if they see her. The \"other Bronya\" This... is not Bronya. If you don't know her (or well, it), you may be inclined to believe so. Yet even within Honkai's characters this is not counted as a Bronya. This is Prometheus. It is not a human, but instead an AI created by the Previous Era of humans that lived 50,000 years before the current civilization of Honkai Impact's world. The Previous Era and Current Era of Honkai share many character equivalents, and thus it's assumed that Prometheys is supposed to be the Previous Era version of Bronya. Another detail you may notice here is that Prometheus shares a name with Silver Wolf's intelligent weapon! This makes the Bronyaverse go into an even tighter circle! Conclusion So this is it! I'm releasing this on Silver Wolf's release day, so there may be some details that can be taken from her companion quest or some other source I haven't been able to check out yet, and I'll edit the post to add such information if necessary! As always, please correct me if you find something wrong, and make suggestions for which character I should do this for next! Luocha's will come on his release day, so anyone else is fair game, as long as they have a Honkai Impact counterpart! That said, I want to thank everyone here for reading this, and hopefully this has given you a deeper understanding of Silver Wolf, or at least of her inspiration, Bronie! If you've already pulled yourself a Silver Wolf, hopefully you'll enjoy her, and if you haven't, then may all your pulls be blessed, and may all Silver Wolf wanters be Silver Wolf havers! submitted by DemiGodInsanity to HonkaiStarRail [link] [comments] |
2023.06.07 14:00 crofman21 Lucky Bingo What Am I Missing?
Hello All,
Just started Lucky Bingo the other day. Iâm at level 20 now and confirmed first step is pending so thatâs great. Of all the guides Iâve read on here it seems paying for a slots package and rolling slots is the best way to go to complete this offer.
Question is where the heck are the slots lol.
I see if you scroll to the left on the game off main page all I have is Bling Blast Bingo, BBQ Party Bingo and fishing voyage which is locked. On the main page is you scroll all the way to right I have lucky Slots thatâs it and I know thatâs not an XP slot so for people in the midst of the offer or completed I was hoping for some guidance. Any help would be appreciated.

2023.06.07 13:57 HortonBoone Detective Gannon interview on SFKs/Austin deaths, & another video of him examining graffitti at a site.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_HYuS2gY5U Cliff Notes
-There are 13 distinct pieces of graffiti specific to geographic locations.
-A lot of victims in Chicago were visiting & are from cities with gang cells. There are ad hoc murders versus victims who killers have had their eyes on for awhile.
-Killers go after the best of the best, & want to take them down. Part of it is envy, but itâs a lot deeper and more sinister than that. Well organized & structured gangs are doing it.
-Theyâve increased the age range of victims. Older killers are now training younger killers.
-Water doesnât wash away evidence. Families are pressured by medical examiners to cremate even though morticians have said some bodies are easily preserved enough to do an open casket.
-Some victims are drowned that night & some are held for a period of time for mental & physical abuse. There are no signs of sexual torture.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IAmjSEhuXA Cliff Notes
-Gannon investigates graffiti in Austin at a site where a man was found dead on a river bank to see if graffiti is related to his group in the upper Midwest
-Graffiti includes 666, female sign or possibly upside down crucifix. He ponders if victim was gay & graffiti means âdie you bitchâ because of the female sign. Thereâs also possibly a ritualistic flower or Celtic cross.
-Body at site wasnât wet, but was deceased. Guy who found the body said there was a suspicious individual at the scene who wore a black hoodie & stood by watching. When police were called, the man took off, but later returned to watch.

Training
First marathon. Began running in lockdown, seen vast improvements in all my distances, managing to get 5k under 19 mins, 10k under 40 mins, and half marathon under 1:40. I joined a running club in Oct 2022 and seen further improvements in all distances, so I set myself a target of completing a half marathon in under 1:30 and a marathon in under 3.30.
My training consisted on speed work on a Monday (track) and Wednesday (usually in a park or quiet area with no traffic).These sessions are provided by the coaches at my running club. Some examples of the sessions are;
Monday: 5k paced session - 20 x 200m at 5Km Pace/100m Same Time Recovery e.g if 5Km pace is 40s for 200m then 100m recovery is covered in 40s
Wednesday: 10k paced session - 6 x 5 Mins @ 10Km Pace with 2.5 Mins Jog Recovery
Monday: 7 x 800m @ 5Km Pace with 100m in 90s Jog Recovery
Wednesday: 5min, 4min, 3min, 2min, 2min, 3min, 4min, 5min @ 10k pace with half jog rec.
Monday: 10 x 3 Mins/90s Jog Recovery (10k pace)
Wednesday: 8 x 4 Mins @ Half Marathon Pace with 3 Mins Reovery at Easy Run Pace (Not a jog)
Outwith these sessions, I tried to do at least 40km over another 4 runs at an easy pace, keeping heart late below 150bpm. Total monthly kilometres always over 200km. Since the new year I have been trying to hit at least 60km per week.
I booked this marathon last summer and had no idea of a plan or targets. I completed a half marathon in 1.19.59 the end of April this year, and this gave me belief that I would be able to post a good time in this race. I would have been disappointed if I did not manage to complete it in 3.10.
The longest run I completed during my training was an easy run of 33km, about 4 weeks before the race. I was confident I would be able to finish but had no idea how my body would do after that distance at a quicker pace.
Pre-race
I done my last long run (~22km) exactly one week before the race. Easy 10km runs Monday & Tuesday, Wednesday I done 3 x 10km at target marathon pace (4.14/km) with 2 mins rest in between. Another easy run on Thursday and then complete rest Friday & Saturday. On the Wednesday I started upping my carb intake significantly, eating a lot more bread, rice, pancakes, crumpets, scones, tortilla wraps, potatoes and chips. I was feeling rather bloated for these few days so cut back a bit on the Saturday in order to be good for Sunday.
Race day: Got up at 5.30am - big bowl of porridge with a scoop of protein powder, 2 slice of toast & strong coffee. Had a cereal bar and a banana at 8am (2 hours before start). Sipped water through the morning - not too much as was wary of toilet breaks during the race.
Race
Weather on the morning was ideal - good temperature, no wind or rain. Had the potential to heat up later on in the afternoon but overall great running conditions.
Race began at 10am. This was an extremely busy race and had some very narrow points over the first 10km where it was impossible to get by anyone.
The first quarter of the race through the city is all downhill. Great scenery all along closed roads, very enjoyable and a good way to start the race and get warmed up. The streets were packed with spectators and an overall good atmosphere.
KMs 10-30 are where you really need to focus on hitting target pace. The crowds thinned out a bit although there was still locals outside their houses cheering, handing out sweets, playing music, and even a though bands/ dance groups along the way. I always race without earphones in order to take all of this in and it is truly a worthwhile experience. Plenty of water stations along this stretch and the weather was still good. Ran with a few groups during this stretch and chatted away, was lucky enough to move in front of most of them onto the next group.
There is a short gravel section around 28kms around Gosford House. Afterwards I heard a lot of people moaning about this - it certainly is a bit different from running on the road. I suppose it depends on what you are used to, I do a fair bit of trail running as well so felt comfortable. Only thing I would say is the terrain is not suited for the Nike Alphafly.
The last section of the race was by far the most difficult. Temperature had heated up to around ~14 degrees (not roasting, but for us Scots who train all through winter it is on the warmer side). Along with a few gradual inclines on the way back made for some tough kilometres. The number of people I passed on the last stretch who were cramping, being sick or simply walking grew the further I got to the finish line. There also seemed to be less water stations on this section, which is not ideal when you are in the final stages of a marathon.
The final couple of hundred metres was a flat, straight run along mats to the finish line. By far the best part - all the hard work is complete, thousands of spectators and knowing your family and friends are at the finish line waiting to congratulate you. Even better knowing when you know you have smashed every target set!
Nutrition & Strategy
When I signed up for the race I put in a target time of 3.45 - meaning I started in a pen with runners a lot slower than me. This was not ideal as it was very busy and I was stuck behind big groups of runners a lot for the first 20-30mins. I definitely could have went quicker at the beginning, maybe a blessing in disguise as I was still under target pace and perhaps allowed me to not come out the traps too quickly. I took 2 salt tablets every water station, which was every 30 mins or so. Took 1 gel at 10km, 20km then 32km. Fortunately was able to get through the whole race without stopping for the toilet. I was really comfortable up until the last 10km, I had never ran more than this so had no idea how my body would react. I had plenty of time in the bank so I dialled it back a bit to make sure I could finish without cramping or pulling a muscle. My plan before the race was to keep every kilometre below 4.15 and hold on for as long as possible.
Post-race
I am going to take a few days off to let my body recover. I have a few 10k runs booked throughout the summer and hope to achieve some PBs. The time I posted should also qualify me for London next year.
