2023.03.30 19:22 hahayesthatsrightboi Refund on enhanced auto pilot?

Hi all, hope your week has been going 19” Gemini smooth
I’ve got my first service appt later today since taking delivery 6 days ago and now having driven with EAP id really like to get it removed and refunded. For the price, I just don’t feel it’s $6k valuable for mid-level autonomy. She’s switching lanes like a damned rookie making me look bad even when adjusted to mad max settings!! Cmon man not even this clean white leather can save face from taking 30 seconds to switch lanes!
I tried googling if Tesla offers refunds on this service but can only find info about the FSD subscription and haven’t seen any posts here in recent memory specifically about getting it removed after delivery and refunded. Does anyone have experience with this?
I’m hoping they’ll accommodate and I’ll put that money into a tow package and other QoL addons. They did make some mfg flaws in build quality that I have to service for in the first place so if they don’t wanna dance I’m gonna bitch and moan and fight for my life. I’ll let y’all know how it goes haha

2023.03.30 19:21 Good_Blueberry4776 Peritoneal Pull Through Vaginoplasty

I had my first surgery in Europe and then revision in Europe as well and I wasn’t fully satisfied with the aesthetics of my vagina. I found out about the newest method and I also decided to change the aesthetic part of my vagina and I am so glad to find an interplast clinic and Dr. Theerapong Poonyakariyagorn.
I am amazed with the quality of service I got, starting from my first message I sent to interplast. They responded promptly to all the enquiries I had.
The Lune Bangkok took care of my accommodation and transport and I also had a lady who was looking after me after the surgery. Lan has been amazing, I cannot thank her more for the care I got. She was bringing food and cleaning wounds. Accommodation was amazing. Condo I stayed in was big and had a very nice view. There was also a balcony and rooftop terrace with gym and swimming pool.
The hospital where I had my surgery was clean and the room I got was very nice. The Staff working at the Interplast clinic as well as in the hospital was very polite and all of them took very good care of me. I am still one month after the surgery and I am already very pleased with the results. Of course my vagina is still swollen but it’s normal and if it looks this good just 4 weeks after the surgery I can only imagine how good it’ll look when everything heals.

What You Get Phase 0) Digital Economics 101 The Digital Economics 101 module will open 1 week prior to the cohort start date. This is an onboarding module that will get you up to speed so we can get straight into the material. This will be required to finish before the start date.
  • Gain a deep understanding of all of the pieces in the digital economy.
  • Learn about the future of media and code — the front-end and backend of the internet — so you can focus your efforts.
  • Understand digital leverage, distribution, no-code tools, and digital assets so you can take part in the mental & financial wealth transfer.
Phase 1) Creating A Meaningful Niche Every day I hear people going on and on about trying to find their niche.I also hear people talking about how they don’t know how to combine what they love talking about with *what will sell.*You already have the answer. You just don’t have the clarity.
  • Develop a long-term strategy to create your own niche — meaning you don’t have to worry about your “competition” playing status games.
  • Discover your life’s work, curiosities, and obsessions. I see too many people that are uncertain about this for years.
  • Cultivate and turn your vision, goals, and values into a brand that attracts an audience you love interacting with (and that will buy from you, and only you).
Phase 2) Content Strategy There is one thing that separates those who make it in the digital economy and those who don’t.It’s the quality, articulation, and perceived originality of their content. The content you post has to make sense to the people you attract.Everyone has a different voice and tone that they resonate with. **That they are congruent with and trust.**It has to change their thought patterns or behavior — that’s what makes you memorable. That’s what separates you from the sea of people posting surface-level copy-cat style posts.Example and putting my money where my mouth is:
  • Become an expert-level speaker or writer on the topics you care about.
  • Never run out of content ideas for your posts or promotions (without using content templates — that’s how you stay a commodity).
  • Create posts, blogs, tweets, images, and videos that resonate with other’s on a deep level. People will actually ask you how you got so good at what you do.
  • Separate yourself from the ocean of B-tier creators that struggle to sell their products, services, andhave their ideas stick in the head of their audience.
  • Implement our Epistemic Research Method — which is just a fancy way of saying scientific research method… but it’s for researching your mind to craft brilliant content and product ideas.
Phase 3) Crafting Your Offer Most people are sitting on a goldmine of skills, experience, and knowledge (that they can use to help people 1-2 steps behind them). That is what people pay for.Considering 95% of the market are beginners… if you are good at something, you can help them get to your level (no matter how “basic” you think the information is).Do you not watch basic content all day anyway? People don’t want new information, they want to be reminded of what works.
  • Use our Minimum Viable Offer strategy to start monetizing immediately (and have something to improve over time, rather than procrastinating until it’s perfect).
  • Have a strategy for reducing the time you spend working over time (as you build leverage and improve your offer).
  • Know how to create your own customers from the audience you are building, instead of “finding” the right customer for your offer.
  • Take the guesswork out of building coaching, consulting, or digital product offers.
Phase 4) Marketing Strategy You aren’t making money because you aren’t promoting yourself or your offer. That is literally the only way to make money. Have something desirable and consistently put it in front of peoples’ faces. In Phase 4, I will show you how to systemize, automate, and be consistent with simple will be able to make money without having the chance of forgetting to do it (or letting fear of failure get in the way).
  • Learn to sell on social media, in your writing, and across different platforms.
  • Have consistent sales coming in while focusing on your meaningful message (no need to sound salesy all the time).
  • Learn advanced automation strategies that you can implement at your own pace, especially once you validate your offer.
Bonus) The Creator Command Center The Creator Command Center is a Notion template that houses all of the systems. This is how you will manage your brand, content, offer creation, marketing strategy, and systemized promotions for consistent sales. Bonus) Live Product Build & Launch In the first Digital Economics Cohort, I built out my course The 2 Hour Writer.I have videos showing how I build it with the strategies in phase 3 and 4.There is a bonus module that shows how I had an $85,000 launch that resulted in my first $100K month.I did this to prove the strategies inside Digital Economics work if you stick to the plan.***And, this past Black Friday, I blew my that monthly high out of the water in 4 days.***That’s the power of these strategies if you stay consistent with your life’s work.

Enterprise Group, Inc (TSX: E OTCQB: ETOLF) Surpasses Analyst Estimates With Robust Earnings
Enterprise Group, Inc (TSX: E OTCQB: ETOLF) (the “Company” or “Enterprise”). Consolidator of energy service (including specialized equipment rental to the energy/resource sector) emphasizes technologies that mitigate, reduce, or eliminate CO2 and Green House Gas (GHG) emissions for small local and Tier One global resource clients.

The Company’s Q4 and 2022 YoY earnings against the equivalent periods of 2021 are nothing short of exceptional. And the Company said that Q1 2023 is also shaping up to be very robust.
Audited numbers don’t lie.
Take a moment and digest these stats. If you own the shares, you should be impressed. If not, consider a second look. Once viewed, take in the Company’s very recent Letter to Shareholders detailing the impressive growth potential of the Canadian Oil and Gas industry. Enterprise is a significant source of on-site infrastructure supply and management that facilitates growth.
Here are the numbers. The comprehensive earnings can be seen in Monday morning’s comprehensive Press Release (March 20/23). The most exciting stat compares the YoY 2021 per share loss of (0.05) cents to the equivalent 2022 gain of 0.05 cents: A 200% movement of an overall 10 cents.
Enterprise shares trade at approximately CDN$0.40. For Investors and Shareholders, the Company keeps its LinkedInpage up to date with articles, videos, and commentary. Consider a Follow.
As well, the Company’s YouTube page is very informative. There will be new videos later this week.

(1) Identified and defined under “Non-IFRS Measures.”
(2) The Canadian Emergency Wage Subsidy and Rent Subsidy Programs ended in October 2021.
To provide further comparability to pre-COVID operations, the Company has presented adjusted gross margin and EBITDA to reflect the results of operations without any subsidy programs.
Enterprise Group Growth Points: FY 2022
· Higher capital spending in the energy industry and increased customer activity levels have resulted in improved results. During the year, Enterprise secured additional supply and services agreements with three of its tier-one clients, contributing to improved operating results.
· The Company believes its stock remains undervalued as the Company’s book value is $0.68 per share. In addition, the Company has available tax losses of $0.17 per share and is developing a consolidated tax plan to utilize those losses. Management will continue to be aggressive in acquiring its shares.
· During the year, Enterprise secured additional supply and services agreements with three of its tier-one clients, contributing to improved operating results.
· During the year ended December 31, 2022, the Company purchased and cancelled 1,799,000 shares at $714,614, or $0.40 per share. These shares had a carrying value of $1.36 per share for $2,445,077, which has been removed from the share capital account. Since initiating the share buyback program, the Company has purchased and cancelled 10,057,500 shares at $2,391,560 or $0.24 per share.
· For the year ended December 31, 2022, the company generated cash flow from operations of $5,910,830 compared to $3,500,869 in the prior year. This change is consistent with the higher activity during the year — equipment fleet to meet customer demands.
· After year end on January 23, 2023, the Company’s common shares began trading on the OTCQB Venture Market under the ticker ETOLF. This listing will help to increase Enterprise’s visibility and accessibility to a growing audience of U.S. investors.
Bottom Line
There is the argument that Enterprise’s numbers are nothing short of extraordinary (use your own adjective). And the coming year, courtesy of increased Oil and Gas Capex spending, stellar management, and new clients with business expansion among existing, including Tier One concerns. As noted in the recent LTS:
Over one year, the Company’s share price rose 40 plus percent, from 26 to 46 cents, a new high. For comparison, S&P lost 19.4%, the Nasdaq gained 8.7%, and the Dow was down almost 9%.

It seems the Company is gaining horsepower, eyeballs, and growth as well as a proxy for the exceptional CAPEX growth.
Stay tuned closely, as Q1 2023 is coming.

2023.03.30 19:11 Hihieveryoneitsme I’m so damn miserable

I love my 20 month old & would do anything for him.
But…
I’m sick of him waking up in the middle of the night and crying for milk and screaming if he doesn’t get.
I’m tired of making food for him and he refuses to eat most of it & throws it around.
I’m tired of the house being a disaster all the time, no matter how hard I try to keep it clean.
I’m pissed that my husband and I worked hard in our lives to have good careers and we are barely making ends meet due to the high cost of every damn thing.
I’m pissed that I had a career & gave it up because childcare is so expensive in this country.
I’m pissed my husband barely helps around the house because his job is so demanding & he has no energy left to give us.
I’m angry that discussing gun control to save children’s lives is political. Wtf is that about?
I’m sick of seeing perfect moms on social media with their perfect homes, perfect activities, and perfect meals. Yea, I know it’s probably fake, but it still sucks to see it.
I’m tired of looking like a mess all the time, but also don’t care because my child has clean clothes, takes baths regularly, and looks way better than I do.
Is anyone as miserable as me?

Effects of living in a messy house
Many of us know about the benefits of living in a healthy and clean environment, but today I want to share with you the negative effects of living in a messy space. Keeping a clean and tidy space can improve your mood and promote a sense of tranquility. On the other hand, a dirty and disorganized place can increase stress and reduce productivity.
https://i.redd.it/xgv54fciswqa1.gif
Living in a cluttered home can have negative effects. It is important to avoid these effects and opt for a tidy and organized space to improve your well-being.
  1. Constant moodiness: When someone is going through a bad time, it is common for them to neglect household chores or accumulate unnecessary items due to their emotional state. However, staying in a dirty and disorganized environment can make the situation even more difficult and worsen the mood.
  2. Lack of concentration: Clutter and accumulation of unnecessary objects can create visual pollution, which can cause a feeling of lack of balance and harmony. This can make it difficult to concentrate and difficult to focus on a specific task due to distractions.
  3. Arguments and anger every day: No one likes to have a messy, cluttered home. Arriving home after a long day of work or study to find it in poor condition can lead to stress, anxiety and frustration. If there are other people living in the home, this can lead to frequent arguments that negatively affect coexistence.
A clean environment will always be better for our mental health, it is important to take care of our space to feel comfortable with our home. My personal recommendation for those who need Chicago Move in Cleaning Service, is Quick Cleaning. They offer a move out cleaning service in Chicago with competitive prices and an impeccable result.

2023.03.30 19:08 brooklynlad Gen-Z Graduates Stare Down Their First Student Loan Payments

Gen-Z Graduates Stare Down Their First Student Loan Payments

Millions of students graduated during the pandemic with student debt. They have yet to make a single payment.
The moratorium on federal student loan payments, which began three years ago this month, has given recent graduates the financial freedom to pay down debt, boost their credit scores and simply cover everyday expenses at a time of high inflation and economic uncertainty. All that is set to change soon, with payments scheduled to resume later this year.
The restart is likely to be a jolt for nearly everyone with federal student loans (private loans weren’t part of the pause), but perhaps no cohort will feel it quite like Generation Freeze, which has never had to budget for it. That’s likely to slow consumer spending and hurt the economy, according to a recent report from financial services firm Jefferies.“
The loans being paused was great because I paid the minimum for my private loans and that was it,” said Alix Chronister, a 24-year-old in Kansas City, Missouri. “If I had had to pay on my federal loans, my financial situation would have been a lot more stressful.”

End of an Era

The first 60-day repayment pause was issued by President Donald Trump on March 20, 2020, when the onset of the pandemic sent the economy into a tailspin. Three years, multiple extensions and one presidential administration later, the freeze is still in place and about 11 million people have since completed undergraduate degrees. Of those, an estimated 70% leave college with student debt.
But the freeze era is drawing to a close. President Joe Biden said in late November that payments will resume 60 days after the Supreme Court rules on his one-time forgiveness program or June 30, whichever comes first. That puts the restart date at no later than Aug. 29, and the first monthly installment would be due by the end of September.
For Chronister, that means a big financial adjustment is coming. She graduated in 2021 with $38,000 in private and federal loans and currently works as a chemist in a research facility. She has prioritized paying off the private loans, which make up $8,000 of her total balance.
The freeze was particularly useful because she was making $15 an hour at her first post-collegiate job, amounting to about $30,000 a year.
She’s eligible for $20,000 in forgiveness if the Supreme Court rules in favor of Biden’s plan — but she’s not holding her breath.“I think I’m really lucky to have had the pause, and it definitely benefited me and people who graduated around the same time,” she said. “We’ve had a chance to get our careers situated before worrying about paying.”
The average monthly payment before the pandemic pause was $393, according to the Federal Reserve. About 20 million borrowers were actively paying down their debt, while others were in default or had their payments deferred due to hardship or forbearance.
Depending on a borrower’s personal financial situation, the return of student loan bills won’t be like flicking an immediate “on” switch. Travis Hornsby, founder of financial service website Student Loan Planner, can see a case where some borrowers might not be expected to pay for another year or two based on their income. New rules for income-driven repayment plans would also widen the net for those who may qualify for a $0 monthly bill, and cap payments at no more than 5% of discretionary income for others.“
Compared to what payments used to be, a lot of people are going to be very much eased into repayment,” said Hornsby. That would help not only fresh college grads, but single parents and others who were previously at risk of default. “The freeze is sort of being thawed.”

Looming Bills

The freeze means many recent graduates have never had to factor federal student loan repayments into their monthly budgets, a helpful absence as prices rise for everything from eggs to rent. In a recent survey by personal-finance company Credit Karma , 26% of borrowers said they hadn’t saved any money during the freeze because they were prioritizing everyday expenses. Almost 70% said their financial situation was stagnant or declined in 2022.
For Madison Sasser in Tampa, Florida, the freeze gave her time to figure out her career trajectory without having to worry about an additional monthly bill. The 24-year-old graduated from the University of South Florida in December 2020 with $15,000 in student debt.
She initially wanted to go to law school but decided it was too expensive. Now, she’s working on building a career as a writer while waiting tables at a restaurant during the day, and makes about $38,000 a year.
The return of monthly payments is going to significantly strain her budget, she said, especially due to the high rents in Tampa.
The average starting salary for a member of the class of 2021 is $55,911, according to a July 2022 analysis by the National Association of Colleges and Employers. For young people who live in big cities and lack the financial and career flexibility to move to places with lower costs of living, those early salaries may not stretch very far.
Matthew Sánchez, a 23-year-old compliance officer who lives in Long Island, New York, says having to repay his loans will be stressful.
“For me personally, I can probably make do and adjust,” he said, though he expects he’ll have to delay a move to Maryland, which he’s trying to plan because it’s more affordable.
He’s bracing for a monthly payment of $300 on $27,000 in federal loans. He knows he’s on the luckier side: “I’m always thinking about how this affects my demographic, broadly speaking. I can see the frustration people have.”

2023.03.30 19:08 maidentaiwan [Florida] Unauthorized Sublessor Refusing to Return Security Deposit

Hello –
My partner and I recently rented a home in Miami with our two dogs for two months. Prior to arriving, we signed a rental agreement and paid our first month's rent + security deposit ($1,000). Upon arriving and meeting our landlady — who we assumed was the owner — we discovered that she was actually a renter, and the owners lived down the street. She asked that we not disclose our status as sublettors to the owners should they come around. "Just tell them you're my friends." OK, whatever, shouldn't be an issue, although it would appear that our landlady is violating her rental agreement by subletting to us.
A few weeks later, one of the owners does come around. My partner tells the owner we are friends of [redacted]. The owner rolls her eyes and expresses annoyance at the fact that there are two dogs there with us, but is otherwise cordial. We don't see her again for the remainder of our stay.
A few weeks letter, the landlady tells us the owners have received noise complaints about the house. We suspect that this was over us yelling at our dogs while in the backyard (nothing malicious, just routine commands when they weren't listening), although there was a domestic disturbance next door to us one night (my partner almost called the police) and we think said disturbance might've been mistakenly assigned to us by whoever complained. I also loudly celebrated while watching a soccer game one morning, so it could've been that. But no wild parties, no sustained yelling matches, etc. If, in fact, there was a noise complaint, it was over something very tame. Anyway, the landlady warns us that we may have to move out if the owners demand it. They don't. We stay and finish the term of our rental.
Fast-forward to our move-out. Our landlady discloses that her owners are denying the renewal of her lease. She blames us and the noise complaints, though I suspect this might owe to the fact that she's been caught redhanded illegally subletting the house. We express condolences, although obviously don't really accept any blame here, she put herself in this situation by taking risks and presumably violating her rental agreement.
The day of our move-out, she has arranged for cleaners to come and clean the house before doing a walk-through of the property with us. We had actually agreed to have the cleaners come twice during our stay (we had already paid for one of the cleanings), but the landlady never scheduled them. The morning of move-out, she texts us at the eleventh hour and says she had a flight canceled and can't make it. She has canceled the cleaners and asks us to hide the keys in the yard. We clean the entire house — although not immaculately, given there are cleaners coming which we've already paid for — pack up and leave. We don't hear from the landlady again.
Per our agreement, our landlady needed to return our security deposit within two weeks. She did not. My partner reached out to her asking about our security deposit. Crickets. Two days later, we wrote her again. She sends us a screed of a text message about various damages (that we didn't cause), excessive cleaning (again, we agreed to have multiple cleanings while staying in the house, but she failed to arrange them), and blames us for the fact that her rental was not renewed (lol). She gaslights us and tells us we should feel very fortunate that she allowed us to stay after the noise complaints (she actually allowed us to extend our stay by a week — I presume she needed the money, she certainly wasn't doing it out of some sense of goodwill). Anyway, because of all this, she tells us, she will not be returning our security deposit.
So now we are in a position that we want to recuperate some or all of our security deposit via the most painless legal avenues possible. Given she was illegally subletting her apartment, is anything in the agreement we signed even enforceable? Are we actually at risk because of that? Should we threaten to take her to small claims court? Any advice greatly appreciated.

2023.03.30 19:07 girl-lee Just got the keys for a rented property and everything went wrong. Would love some advice please?

I am in England.
As the title says I picked up the keys to my new house today, but before I left i got an email and a phonecall from the lettings agent to say the landlord needed to do a few things this morning before I pick up the keys. I said that wasn’t an issue and I’d pick up the keys at lunch time.
When lunchtime came I got the keys and went to the property, only to see the property had not been cleaned: there was a silicon gun in the sink, an old headboard in the kitchen, dead wasps all over 4 of the windowsills and kitchen bench (I’m assuming the property had been empty a while), cups and teaspoons in the wardrobe, an old shoe in the cupboard, a large toy dog in one bedroom, mould in wardrobes, loose wires and lighting fixtures, things like that. So I went home (don’t have to leave my current property for another week or so) emailed the lettings agent the issues and he got back to me saying:
The landlord called a short while ago to say that he had left a few bits and was going to call by to give you a knock at somepoint to retrieve these
I will raise all further, any queries I will let you know
I have not yet replied to the email.
After I picked my kids up from school I took them to see the house and noticed that some items had been removed from the property in the hour or two that I’d been gone, and two of the windowsills were now wasp free (although not all), so someone had definitely been to the property since we had left and had entered the property, which I’m assuming can only have been the landlord.
Anyway, while looking at the new garden a second time a man approached the garden gate and introduced himself as the landlord and said he was there to empty the recycling bin which had been filled with non recyclable stuff and that I could get the oven cleaned and bill him. Then my exes mum who was also with me started complaining about the mould etc in wardrobe and he kinda lost it at me and said ‘oh well you can just have your money back, plenty of people were interested’ I tried to say to him that it was fine but again he repeated himself and stormed off before I could continue speaking to him. He then spent the next 15 minutes cleaning out the bin while I hid in the house from him.
I’ve already paid the 6 months rent up front, and I kind of have to move out my current property as my landlady is selling the house (which I’m gutted about cos I love my house and my landlady is wonderful but oh well) so staying here isn’t an option. I know he can’t kick me out as I’ve signed, paid and got the keys but he’s put me in an awful position. I feel like I won’t be able to say anything without him going mental. Plus, he clearly has no issues just turning up to the house and letting himself in. I want to complain to the lettings agent, but will that make it worse? I don’t know what to do. I’m not particularly bothered about staying more than 6 months, I wanted to move back to the area I’m in currently anyway, but I don’t want 6 months of hell. I’m also a single woman with two kids and a bunch of health issues so I’m really quite worried about this.

2023.03.30 19:06 FirstBreath1 I let a stranger take a picture of my family. Now he won't stop.

This story is about an innocent mistake that most people make. The names are all different but the details are the same. I know not everyone has the time to read it to the end. That’s fine. The key takeaway is simple. Never, ever let a stranger borrow your phone to take a picture. Just don’t fucking do it. Please. You’ll soon see why.
My little family of four woke up early one morning to go to the beach. My daughter and I had this running bet. Every time she slept in her own bed, she got a surprise, you know, a reward for being good. The first night it was ice cream, then a donut, then a toy. I was running out of incentives because she kept fulfilling her end of the deal. So being that it was the weekend, and the weather was nice, I thought it would be cool to get some sun in before the tourists arrived for the holiday.
Our plan worked like a charm. We got to the sand and pitched a tent in a quiet spot away from commotion. The waves lapped aimlessly against the shore. The water was crystal clear. Sofia built sand castles with pink plastic buckets and Joey gave the seagulls his best t-rex impression. The memory of Emma stretched out in a two-piece is burned so hot it’s like it’s branded. I loved those trips if for nothing else than to stare beneath the cover of my long sleeve SPF-shit swim shirt. I felt about as lucky as any other man in the world. Life was good.
We stayed there a little while. I thumbed through a book. Em scanned her phone. The kids joined forces to build a moat which kept (some of) the tide away. Eventually, foot traffic picked up along with the opening of a couple shops on the boardwalk. We got ready to leave. I knelt down go corral the toys when an unfamiliar voice called out -
“You have a beautiful family,” he exclaimed. “Truly. So blessed.”
I turned around to find my wife facing a stranger.
“Oh. Thank you!” She chirped back. “Yes… I think so too.”
We sat there a bit in awkward silence. He smiled. We smiled. He was older, maybe in his sixties or seventies. He wore black slacks and a white shirt, with one of those odd gray golf gaps that perched like a beret. He seemed ordinary enough. Friendly and all that jazz. He just wouldn’t go away.
“Oh. You should take a picture. You’ll want to remember this gorgeous day,” he quipped. “Family memories are so important. I keep albums for all my grandchildren.”
Emma’s ears perked at the suggestion.
“Oh yeah, you know Matt, we really haven’t had a good one in ages.”
I hung my head in solemn agreement.
“Guess you’re right.”
She groaned.
“My cell’s dead. Can you use yours?”
I rummaged through my bag and handed it over. The man quickly gave it back.
“Locked.”
I entered the code.
“Okay!” the stranger cheered. “Kids, smile like you mean it! Parents, too! Happy days! Say… tangerine!”
We laughed.
“Tangerine!”
And that was it. The entire encounter lasted about five minutes. The stranger delivered my phone and shook my hand. I thanked him. I threw it in my bag, gathered our stuff, and got the kids ready. We jetted to the car and beat the worst of the traffic back home. The rest of the day flew by with usual activities. Gymnastics and lunch with grandparents and birthday parties. One moment faded into the next and the topic of the odd stranger got lost.
The photo, however, came up again around dinner time.
Emma needed head-shots for work and remembered to remind me (hah) to send her the beach shot. I pulled out my cell and went through my messages. I couldn't find it at first. That's when I found something unfamiliar. There was one sent text to an unknown number from that same morning.
"Hey, hon.."
I pulled up the conversation history. A picture loaded. The four of us cheesed back at the camera from the shade of our umbrella. Luke had a bucket on his head. Sofia put two fingers behind her mom. I scanned through my other texts and there was nothing else out of the ordinary. But it was still, you know, weird.
My first reaction was to call the number. I dialed once and got a busy signal. I hung up and dialed again. Error message. I dialed a third time, got up, and started to pace.
“What?” Emma asked. “You alright?”
I knew she wouldn’t take it seriously. It was quite a leap at that point.
“This is going to sound weird.”
“What?”
“I think this guy texted himself a picture of us.”
She stared at me for a second. I stared back. Then she laughed.
“Dude,” she gasped. “Why? Why would anyone do that? We are not that interesting.”
I called the number again. This time it didn’t stop ringing.
“I know I sound paranoid. But, really. Look. I didn't send this text message and it's on my phone. The number is legit, like, it’s got our area code and everything.”
Emma rolled her eyes.
“Maybe he did it by accident,” she sighed. “He was old. He probably doesn’t know how to text.”
I wanted to press the topic. I hated the idea that someone could have access to my phone. I think anyone would. But it was late, and she was skeptical, and we only had minutes to talk before someone wanted a bottle or a juice or a snack or an episode of their favorite show. I pushed it to ‘Matt's future queue’ and fell back into routine.
The storm brought both kids into our bed sometime around midnight. I woke up to find my daughter climbing over my already snoring son. Sofia snuggled up beside me as rain pattered against the windowsill. I couldn’t say no. The kid had cuteness on her side and she hated bad weather. At least I wouldn’t need another surprise. I held her tight, and just as sleep seemed like it might be a possibility, the doorbell rang.
My heart skipped a beat.
We live pretty deep in the woods. Our nearest neighbor is about a mile away. My house isn't exactly the type of place you might expect a late night visitor. Sofia stared at me wide-eyed in the dark. My wife didn't stir. We waited in silence. The bell rang again.
I got up out of bed and looked for something clean to wear. I found a shirt on the floor and some socks in the hamper. I gave the baseball bat behind the dresser a good long look before deciding against it. Sof whined nervously.
“Stay here.”
I could tell that she was scared. I guess that sort of put me into super-parent mode. Dad the hero. Dad the protector. A whole lot of ego and not much else to back it up. I grabbed the bat on the way out and whispered back.
“I’ll be okay. Stay with Mama.”
The hallway outside our bedroom led to a staircase in front of the door. The bell rang again. I picked up my pace and hurdled down the steps as our visitor found the brass lion knocker attached to the frame.
Bam. Bam. Bam.
I took a breath and looked through the peephole.
The woman on my porch looked to be about twenty to twenty-five years old. She was blonde and pretty with hoop earrings and smeared makeup. I looked at her for a little while longer before doing anything. There was something about her eyes. She looked confused, or high, or something. So I kept the door closed.
“Can I help you?”
She knocked again. Then again. And again and again until the door shook and blonde hair thrashed back and forth across her face.
“Hello?” I shouted. “Hey! Can you stop?”
The knocking ceased.
“Oh. Hi.”
“Hello.”
“Can I help you?”
She paused. She smiled.
“Yes. I want to take a picture of you.”
My lungs deflated.
“What the fuck? No.”
She smiled.
“Please?”
“What are you talking about?” I snapped. “It’s the middle of the night. What are you doing here?”
She frowned.
“You let HIM take a picture.”
I didn’t answer. She rang the bell again. My blood pressure jumped.
“I’m going to need you to get the fuck off my property. Now. I’m calling the cops.”
She smiled. She stared at the little hole in the door for a full minute or two. Then she walked away silently.
As if nothing had ever happened.
The moment shook me. It took a while for the adrenaline to wear off. I thought about calling the police. I wondered what the hell to even tell them. I locked the doors and searched the rest of the house. I calmed down a little bit when it was empty. I went back upstairs to check on my family. Emma was stretched out with one arm around each kid. Thunder rumbled through the windows. They slept through the whole thing.
I pulled my phone from the charger. I wanted to message a friend for advice. That's when I noticed a new text. Just one. A picture of me standing in my boxers.
Someone was watching through the back window.
“See you soon,” it said.

What You Get

Phase 0) Digital Economics 101

The Digital Economics 101 module will open 1 week prior to the cohort start date.

Phase 1) Creating A Meaningful Niche

Every day I hear people going on and on about trying to find their niche.I also hear people talking about how they don’t know how to combine what they love talking about with what will sell. You already have the answer.

Phase 2) Content Strategy

There is one thing that separates those who make it in the digital economy and those who don’t.It’s the quality, articulation, and perceived originality of their content. The content you post has to make sense to the people you attract.Everyone has a different voice and tone that they resonate with. That they are congruent with and trust. It has to change their thought patterns or behavior — that’s what makes you memorable.

Phase 3) Crafting Your Offer

Most people are sitting on a goldmine of skills, experience, and knowledge (that they can use to help people 1-2 steps behind them).

Phase 4) Marketing Strategy

You aren’t making money because you aren’t promoting yourself or your offer. That is literally the only way to make money. Have something desirable and consistently put it in front of peoples’ faces. In Phase 4, I will show you how to systemize, automate, and be consistent with simple promotions. You will be able to make money without having the chance of forgetting to do it (or letting fear of failure get in the way).
  • Learn to sell on social media, in your writing, and across different platforms.
  • Have consistent sales coming in while focusing on your meaningful message (no need to sound salesy all the time).
  • Learn advanced automation strategies that you can implement at your own pace, especially once you validate your offer.

Bonus) The Creator Command Center

The Creator Command Center is a Notion template that houses all of the systems. This is how you will manage your brand, content, offer creation, marketing strategy, and systemized promotions for consistent sales.

Bonus) Live Product Build & Launch

In the first Digital Economics Cohort, I built out my course The 2 Hour Writer.I have videos showing how I build it with the strategies in phase 3 and 4.There is a bonus module that shows how I had an $85,000 launch that resulted in my first $100K month.I did this to prove the strategies inside Digital Economics work if you stick to the plan. And, this past Black Friday, I blew my that monthly high out of the water in 4 days. That’s the power of these strategies if you stay consistent with your life’s work.

2023.03.30 19:04 o0Sevenie0o WIBTA if i took custody of my best friends son?

Now I don't mean to crap on my friend, but my friend has long and extensive history with unsafe predator men around her home and children, even taking off with a dude for 3 months after he r*** her niece in her home and she was told kids or him by CAS (cps) she left her 13 year old daughter to care for 2 younger brothers while she camped out at his house. then she also has history of d**** use and al**** use.
She finally after spiraling, losing her home, living in a hotel with the 2 boys(daughter is in custody of her sister) being kicked out of her current rat/bed bug infested shared place with overcrowding of 2 families with her 2 boys, and their 3 boys .... all teenagers except her youngest...etc. we both agreed i would take her eldest son and it was possibly a permanent situation.
when i picked him up. all she gave him for belongings was a broken xbox and a dirty smelly, and moldy bag of clothes that she has not bothered to wash in months!! I had to throw MOST of it away! And all he has ever friggen known was living out of a darn trash bag his whole life ... so when he was at my house, he began finally knowing and feeling that he was going to be safe and sound...and in a stable environment, his own bedroom, a non crowded space, full meals, clean clothes, a warm shower ... a home with utilities ACTUALLY ON!! somewhere comfortable, a place where he was finally not showing agressive behaviours...etc.
I had him since 16th of march. and on friday last week (due to my nephew being charged with something a year ago ) This has caused his mom to basically disown and resent him for it. Someone told me that there was a HIT(like an actual hit) on him.
So i asked him if he wanted me to call the police He told me he wanted to call police. so i called police. because i guess the guy that was going to carry out the hit was dead for 3 years (unknown to me) and the fact that I heard this third party... the police called me a liar, and waited until i was not home and arrested my nephew and illegally detained him and brought him to police station to go and be in the care of cas. Police told me apparently i did know because I said something to someone a long time ago about it, but I forgot because I did not actually know him... someone how that was relevant to stating i was a liar? i spoke to my nephew and was shocked cas allowed it to happen and found out he was extremely coerced by both his mother, police and cas to go back to foster care again! he does not want to be there but is scared to offend his mom/ or what she would do to him etc. he is afraid of everyone involved with police and was sobbing on the phone telling me that he is doing what his mom thinks is best. I keep telling him he has the right to ask for an ontario childrens lawyer. he has a right to speak up. and a right to live where he wants as of the age of 12 !! .... like i am at the point where i am willing to lose a friendship and pay to get custody of this boy !! Would I be the asshole?

2023.03.30 19:02 KlikinDeer Post Office only charges home RENTERS for PO box

I live an a small rural town in Eastern Oregon (~1000 people) the post office just sent out a letter saying that they will begin charging home renters for their PO Boxes but not home owners. There is no street delivery service in town so everyone needs to use a PO box. They say this will apply to people who rent houses, not just apartments, trailers, etc. Is this legal? It seems like discrimination based on income or something. Thanks!

2023.03.30 19:01 Beardybeardman I pooped in the shower

Ok let me just start by saying this isn't something I would even remotely consider doing on purpose. I mean, I pee in the shower sometimes doesn't everyone? But I'm in the piping trade so I know what a shower drain cannot handle (solids).
Anyways, I've been known to hold my poop in until it's an emergency. Ever since I was a kid, I just feel like I have better things to do than spend any time shitting. That said, when I do have to go it's basically coming out. I hold it in all day and run to the toilet when I get home for my daily emergency poop. I feel like once I even see the toilet, it's happening whether I checked for the presence of toilet paper or not.
Yesterday, I pooped at the normal time. I figured I was good. Right before bed I decided I was going to shower before bed instead of in the morning to save some time. I started walking towards the shower, glanced at the toilet and I guess my butthole was triggered or something and I felt a poop coming on. I figured I was fine though. I don't poop twice a day. Probably just a fart.
I went in the shower and started showering. My wife was using the toilet (it has its own little room in the master bath. She would never toilet in the same room I was showering). I decided to try to let the fart out in the shower but was amazed when a whole turd came out. I managed to catch it, but then I couldn't figure out what the fuck to do next. Do I run across the house naked holding a turd and risk being seen by my wife, or do I try to handle it in the shower?
I am also known to enjoy cold beverages while in the shower, so I spotted a bottle I had left in there another day. In a moment of desperation I decided I was going to try to cram the turd into this bottle. Needless to say, it wasn't going well. Bits of turd were falling to the shower floor, and I was trying to get them to go through the drain. Turd bits were everywhere. Some of it made it into the bottle. My wife was now walking around the house asking the dogs if they pooped and where it is. I heard her come near the shower and mutter 'it has to be over here somewhere...' but she did not open the shower door.
I had to have been in the shower for 30 mins trying to clean up this turd-tastrophe. I finally managed to get the chunks down the drain, get the area cleaned up (I scrubbed everything with body wash) and the cap on the poop bottle. I then proceeded with my normal shower routine, then when I was done I grabbed a trash bag and 'cleaned up' while also sneakily heading towards the shower and throwing the bottle in there. I dumped a bunch of draino in the drain to hopefully neutralize any lingering turd smell and later today I will deluge it with water and plunge it. My wife never said a word to me about the smell. I don't know if I will ever be the same.
