I want to present my theory that the show may establish a situation wherein Octavia is going to choose to side with Stella and place the blame on her family's divorce and subsequent disintegration squarely on Stolas (and Blitzo by extension). This will likely occur due to Stella, aided by Andrealphus, twisting Octavia's limited view of events to paint Stolas as being at complete fault for all her families' troubles while exonerating Stella.
Following the latest episode, and the statement given by Andrealphus that they need to think of an alternative plan regarding how to deal with Stolas due to Octavia being set to inherit Stolas' power and position if he dies, I've started thinking that this might be what the show is going to head towards.
My evidence to support this theory is noted below.
Firstly, Octavia does not share the viewers perspective of the events of the show. This has to be remembered at all times, Octavia lacks the true insight towards Stolas' inner thoughts and actions, as well as the greater context of what is happening that we do.
In S1E2, S2E1 and S2E2, Octavia witnesses' events that would allow Stella to paint Stolas as being the hostile parent. This includes:
However, the perspective from Octavia, as evidenced above and being the circumstances that Stella and Andrealphus will reinforce, would be that her father has suddenly and seemingly without reason openly and flauntingly started cheating on her mother within the last year, enjoyed constantly fighting with her, had begun to ignore Octavia while seemingly also being overtly happy at kicking Stella out of their shared home. Octavia would be led into believing, based on everything she has seen, that it is in fact Stella being abused by Stolas while she is being openly cheated on by him.
This is also putting aside the fact that children often do not become aware of their parents' relationship failing until the divorce occurs, especially if the parents go out of their way to hide it, and that Octavia is further fuelled by fears she will be abandoned by Stolas who will elope with his Imp lover.
Essentially, we the audience know the truth, however Octavia does not.
Taking all of this knowledge, it becomes possible to see how Stella and Andrealphus could instill the belief into Octavia that Stolas is all to blame for the break-up of the family, with them insinuating he wants to destroy their family, cast aside his royal duties, abandon his wife and daughter and run away with some home breaker Imp.
I feel this would tie very well into Andrealphus’s motivations, as the show seems to be implying he wants to usurp Stolas’ powers for himself, thus him being able to control Octavia and place himself into a trusted position as her “advisor” thanks to his convincing her of the “truth” of Stolas would likely give him the ability to manipulate and eventually steal Stolas’ power from Octavia.
That's my theory. Octavia will side with Stella against Stolas. I would then assume the show will pivot towards the group trying to convince Octavia of the truth of the situation, of her learning the truth herself, or maybe it becomes a permanent long-term plot point that lasts for seasons to come. Now whether this event would occur as an end of season cliffhanger, or something resolved in a two-parter is beyond my ability to guess.

- Stolas constantly appears unapologetic towards having "cheated" on Stella whilst offering no justification or defense for his actions, to the contrary he would appear to be proud of his act.
- Stolas goes out of his way to forcibly invite Blitzo into his families' affairs, even to the detriment of spending time with Octavia. Adding to the above point, Stolas' willingness to force Blitzo into personal affairs can be interpreted as him placing Blitzo above Octavia and the family in spite of his verbal declarations to the contrary.
- Stolas constantly fails to offer any genuine reason as to why he is seemingly cheating on Stella, typically stammering or side-stepping an explanation when confronted and offering mere verbal platitudes and reassurances.
- Stolas appears more interested in fighting with Stella than being with Octavia.
- Stolas appears to take great pleasure in forcing Stella out of their shared home while instructing his staff to violently throw out her personal belongings.

- Loona emphasized to Octavia that Stolas is doing the best he can: Words of comfort that will start to feel hollow or misplaced as Stella/Andre pour poison into Octavia's ears, she will likely believe her family's arguments over that of the daughter of the man her father is cheating on.
- Stolas has reassured Octavia he will always be with her: A child always wants to be loved and confided with, but her being bombarded with "evidence" by Stella that Stolas' actions betray the "truth" that he really does not care may cause her to doubt or reject Stolas' words.
- Stolas was almost murdered by Striker and hospitalized, who was hired by Stella: It's not guaranteed Stolas will even admit to Octavia that her mother is trying to have him murdered in an effort to spare her the emotional turmoil, even if he does Stella can counter that Striker is just some anti-goetia rebel Imp who hunts royalty and deny any involvement. With all the other "evidence" Stella presents to Octavia, she may simply not believe the argument that Striker was hired by Stella, believing it to be just another lie.
- Stella has likely been a bad mother towards Octavia throughout her upbringing: As of S2E4 we don't have strong evidence telling us what the true state of Stella and Octavia's relationship is or their true opinions towards each other, the strongest evidence available that might support Stella having a known history of being a bad mother is that Stella made Stolas check on Octavia's when she was crying as a child, but I don't see this as evidence of Stella being abusive but more her just being fatigued. It is also not uncommon for Mothers to make the Husbands check their children during the night.
- Octavia has forgiven Stolas on several occasions: Children want stability, it makes sense that Octavia would be wishing to forgive her father if it might return a semblance of stability to her life.

The Haunted Doll
When you think of haunted dolls, it’s likely the creepy old Victorian-looking porcelain kind that springs to mind. None of which you probably have laying around. Still, don’t get too comfortable around any kids toys too soon, though: a Disney’s Frozen Elsa doll that was gifted for Christmas 2013 in the Houston area made headlines earlier this year when it seemingly became haunted.Per KPRC2 Houston News:
The doll recited phrases from the movie Frozen and sang “Let It Go” when a button on its necklace was pressed.The family decided to throw the creepy doll out in December of 2019. Weeks later, they found it inside a bench in their living room. “The kids insisted they didn’t put it there, and I believed them because they wouldn’t have dug through the garbage outside,” Madonia told KPRC2 Houston News.
“For two years it did that in English,” mother Emily Madonia said. “In 2015, it started doing it alternating between Spanish and English. There wasn’t a button that changed these, it was just random."
The family has owned the doll for more than six years and never changed its batteries. The mother says the doll would randomly begin to speak and sing even with its switch turned off.

The family then double-bagged the bizarre doll and placed it at the bottom of their garbage which was taken out on garbage day. They went on a trip shortly after, but when they returned, Elsa too had come back, and was waiting in the backyard of their home.
This time, the family mailed Elsa to a family friend in Minnesota, who taped the haunted doll to the front bumper of his truck. It doesn’t seem to have made its way back to Houston yet, as per Madonia’s latest February Facebook update on the creepy doll.
A Deadly Exorcism
In August 2016 in North London, 26-year-old Kennedy Ife began acting strange and aggressive following a pain in his throat. He reportedly bit his father, threatened to cut off his own penis, and complained of a python or snake inside of him before his family restrained him to a bed with cable ties and excessive force.As the BBC reported:
“The family then set about attempting to ‘cure’ Kennedy through restraint and prayer over the next three days, the court was told.”His brother, Colin Ife, told police:
“It’s clear that thing was in him, what we believed was a demon because it was not natural. It was clearly trying to kill him,” he said.Kennedy Ife had been bound to his bed for three days without medical attention when his brother called emergency services, explaining that Kennedy Ife was complaining of dehydration. He appeared to have developed breathing issues, and was pronounced dead at 10:17 a.m.
“We had to restrain him for himself. It was clear if we didn’t restrain him, he could have tried to harm people in our family.”

While police were at the house Colin Ife allegedly carried out an “attempted resurrection” by chanting and praying for Mr. Ife.All seven of Kennedy Ife’s family members were accused of manslaughter, false imprisonment, and causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable adult. A post-mortem examination revealed over 60 wounds including a possible bite on Kennedy Ife’s body, and his father, Kenneth Ife, along with four of his brothers, sustained injuries as well.

Kenneth Ife told jurors he ordered his sons to take shifts and use "overwhelming force" but denied that an "association with cults, occults and secret societies" played any part in the death.After a four day jury deliberation, all seven family members were cleared of charges on March 14, 2019.

Dead Animals in the Walls
When the Bretzuis family decided to insulate their home in Auburn, Pennsylvania in 2015, they discovered that it had already been—with scores of dead animal carcasses.As Fox reported:
The dead animals were wrapped in newspapers from the 1930s and 40s and were among half-used spices, and other items.The expert attributed the rotting animals in their walls to Pow-wow or Dutch magic, a ritual originating in the culture of the Pennsylvania Dutch to treat ailments and gain physical and spiritual protection. The Pennsylvania Dutch were a group of German-speaking settlers to Pennsylvania in the 1600 and 1700’s, and are often of Lutheran, Mennonite, or Amish faiths.
After removing the items they sent hundreds of artifacts and carcasses to an expert in Kutztown.

Florida Devil Worshipping
Friends noticed that Danielle Harkins, a 35-year-old schoolteacher near St. Petersburg, Florida, started acting strangely in June of 2012, developing an interest in demonic rituals.Soon after, she was arrested for abuse of seven of her former students, as the Tampa Bay Times reported:
Danielle Harkins told the kids they needed to rid their bodies of demons as the group gathered before dusk Saturday around a small fire near the St. Petersburg Pier. They should cut their skin to let the evil spirits out, police said she told the children. Then, they needed to burn the wounds to ensure that those spirits would not return.The police were notified because a friend of one of the students who participated in the ritual raised alarms. However none of the students themselves told their parents about the event or would comment following the arrest of Harkins for aggravated battery and child abuse.
When Harkins held a lighter to one teen's hand, wind blew the flame out, police said. That prompted her to douse his hand in perfume before setting it on fire. The boy suffered second-degree burns, police said.
Another teen was cut on the neck with a broken bottle, police said. Harkins used a flame to heat a small key, which she then used to cauterize the wound.
NBC reported:
Investigators said they've spoken to Harkins, but she didn't spell out what type of religion would require such drastic measures.
"She hasn't informed us exactly what she was trying to accomplish with this," Puetz [of the St. Petersburg Police Department] said.
The Death of Elisa Lam
Elisa Lam was last seen on January 31, 2013 in the lobby of the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. She was vacationing through the West Coast, documenting the trip on her blog, and checking in with her parents every day. On January 31 those calls stopped. Lam had vanished. Soon the police were involved and her parents arrived to help with the search.They had nothing. That February, LAPD released elevator surveillance footage of Lam before her disappearance. The footage shows Lam behaving strangely in the elevator, appearing to talk with invisible people, peering around the corner of the door, crouching in the corner, and opening and closing the door. But what exactly is going on in this video raises more questions than answers. Theories range from psychotic episodes, to demonic possession, to unknown assailants just out of the camera's view:

And international serial killer Jack Unterweger is suspected of murdering three prostitutes during the time he lived there in 1991. He killed himself in jail in 1994.In 1962, a female occupant jumped out of one the hotel's windows, killing herself and a pedestrian on whom she landed.In February 2021, a Netflix doc called Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel explored Elisa's tragic case and the history of the "cursed" Cecil Hotel.
An Exorcism in Indianapolis
Last year, the Indianapolis Star published a lengthy report on a family terrorized by three children allegedly possessed by demons. The account of Latoya Ammons and her family tells disturbing stories of children climbing up the walls, getting thrown across rooms, and children threatening doctors in deep unnatural voices. It would seem like something straight out of a movie–a work of fantasy, except all of these accounts were more or less corroborated with "nearly 800 pages of official records obtained by the Indianapolis Star and recounted in more than a dozen interviews with police, DCS personnel, psychologists, family members and a Catholic priest."One of the more chilling sections of the report includes a segment about the possessed 9-year-old:
According to Washington's original DCS report—an account corroborated by Walker, the nurse—the 9-year-old had a "weird grin" and walked backward up a wall to the ceiling. Utah Murder-Suicide
In September of 2014, a Utah teen returned to his home to find his parents and three siblings dead. "In a notebook, a 'to-do list' had been scribbled on the pages ... The list looked as if the parents were readying to go on vacation—items such as 'feed the pets' and 'find someone to watch after the house' were written," The Salt Lake Tribune reported. It appeared to be murder-suicide, but there was no suicide note, no prior indication that they would do this, no explanation. Police could not figure out why two parents would kill themselves and three of their four children.For a year, no one knew exactly what happened to the family, or what would drive the parents to do something so unthinkable. In January, police released more chilling details in the case. According to accounts from family members and an investigation by police, the parents were driven by a belief that the apocalypse was coming and an obsession with a convicted killer. As the Washington Post reported:
Friends and family told police that the parents were worried about the "evil in the world" and wanted to escape a "pending apocalypse." But most assumed they just wanted to move somewhere "off the grid." Investigators also found letters written by Kristi Strack to one of the state's most infamous convicted killers, Dan Lafferty, who was convicted in the 1984 fatal stabbing of his sister-in-law and her 1-year-old daughter. According to trial testimony, he killed the victims at the order of his brother, Ron Lafferty, who claimed to have had a revelation from God. The story became a book called "Under the Banner of Heaven."Police said Kristi Strack became friends with Dan Lafferty, and she and her husband even visited him in prison.
The Phone Stalker
In 2007, ABC news documented a series of cell phone calls to families with terrifyingly specific death threats. The unidentified callers knew exactly what families were doing and what they were wearing.The families say the calls come in at all hours of the night, threatening to kill their children, their pets and grandparents. Voice mails arrive, playing recordings of their private conversations, including one with a local police detective.The caller knows, the families said, what they're wearing and what they're doing. And after months of investigating, police seem powerless to stop them.This went on with the Kuykenall family for months, who reported a caller with a scratchy voice threatening to slit their throats.
When the Fircrest, Wash., police tried to find the culprit, the calls were traced back to the Kuykendalls' own phones -- even when they were turned off.It got worse. The Kuykendalls and two other Fircrest families told ABC News that they believe the callers are using their cell phones to spy on them. They say the hackers know their every move: where they are, what they're doing and what they're wearing. The callers have recorded private conversations, the families and police said, including a meeting with a local detective.
"The Watcher"

Since moving in, the owners said they have received numerous letters from the mysterious person. "The Watcher" claimed the home "has been the subject of my family for decades," and "I have been put in charge of watching and waiting for its second coming," Castro reported.The new owners have several children, and other letters asked, "Have they found out what's in the walls yet?" and "I am pleased to know your names now, and the name of the young blood you have brought to me."The family was forced to flee from their home and later filed a lawsuit against the previous owners.
Issei the Cannibal
In 1974, 24-year-old Wako University student Issei Sagawa allegedly followed a German woman to her home in Tokyo, Japan, broke into her apartment while she was sleeping, and attempted to cut a piece of flesh off her body to consume. When she awoke, she reportedly fought him and he was later captured by the police. According to a 2012 Vice documentary that covered Issei's bizarre story, he was mistakenly charged with attempted rape and his wealthy father paid the victim a settlement outside of court to have the charges dropped.Seven years later, in 1981, he allegedly committed a murder in France—shooting and eating a fellow University student, Renée Hartevelt. Issei creepily documented the entire experience with photographs and he was captured by authorities once again while attempting to dump the rest of her body in the Bois de Boulogne lake. He was deported back to Japan and committed to a mental institution. For reason unknown, his psychologists in Japan declared that he was sane. Furthermore, a legal technicality involving the French government refusing to turn over the documents from his case meant that his murder charges were dropped completely. He checked himself out of the mental hospital and has reportedly been walking the streets as a free man ever since. Issei has even become a controversial celebrity, writing over 20 books. According to Japan Today, he most recently fantasized about an unnamed TV actress, saying:
"I'll catch a glimpse of her thigh and think, 'That sure looks tasty.' But I don't feel like I actually want to eat it. As I accomplished the act of cannibalism once, there's no meaning to maintaining the desire for it anymore. In my book, I wrote that it [human flesh] was tasty, but that was not really true; I'd much rather eat Matsuzaka (Kobe) beef. But because I'd desired to consume human flesh for so long, I'd managed to convince myself that it would necessarily be delicious."
Issei Sagawa was also referenced in the Rolling Stones song "Too Much Blood," with the lyrics reading: "And when he ate her he took her bones/To the Bois de Boulogne." He is currently 73 years old and continues to live in Kawaski City, Japan. To this day, no one knows why France did not allow Japan to give him a trial.

It is important to note that this article is only a thought experiment for the purposes of reconsidering our implicit assumptions and societal conceptions of the necessities for civilization and what is “normal” behavior for humans. In the article about mysticism I pointed out that I was a psychotherapist not a theologian. Here I need to point out that I am not an economist either. This thought experiment is not advocating for any kind of specific new political or economic reality. Instead it is a way to reconsider the things we take for granted and meditate on new ideas that might allow us to conceive of a healthier and more stable society.
If we didn’t have gold what would money look like?
If we didnt have nonperishable precious metals like gold and silver, what would money look like. There are not many other goods we can make hold value in such a small and convenient package like gold, platinum, and silver to a lesser extent do. All the noble metals have a high luster, malleability, and do not spoil with age. How would society store value without them?
Well there are a couple examples of how money developed in places without gold. My favorite is an island called Yap where there was little to no money. Instead native Yapese used 20ft tall limestone disks that weighed hundreds of pounds. So how did this money work? How do you put a 200 lb stone in a vending machine or slide it across a bar?
The Yapese never moved the stones they used as money. Instead they kept an oral and collective ledger of who owned what stones. Money that can’t fit in your wallet might seem like a crazy idea, but think of how your debit card works. There is a collective ledger somewhere out there that changes every time you slide your card even though no physical money is moved.
How did Yap money work?
On the island of Yap, the acquisition and distribution of rai stones were closely tied to prestige and social merit. The process of awarding rai stones was based on various factors that reflected an individual’s status, achievements, and contributions to the community.
The primary means of acquiring rai stones was through social recognition and acknowledgment of an individual’s accomplishments. These accomplishments could include successful leadership, acts of bravery, or notable achievements in various fields such as agriculture, craftsmanship, or diplomacy. The more esteemed and respected an individual was within the community, the higher the likelihood of receiving rai stones.
The recognition and awarding of rai stones were often carried out through public ceremonies and gatherings. These events provided a platform for the community to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of an individual. The stones were typically presented by influential community leaders or elders who acted as the arbiters of social merit.
It’s important to note that the awarding of rai stones was not a purely individualistic pursuit but rather a collective decision that reflected the consensus of the community. The opinions and judgments of community members, particularly those in positions of authority or with significant influence, played a crucial role in determining the social merit of an individual and their eligibility to receive rai stones.
The rai stones bestowed upon an individual were not meant to be hoarded or accumulated solely for personal wealth. Instead, they served as symbols of prestige and social standing. The possession of rai stones demonstrated an individual’s contributions to the community and their ability to garner respect and admiration.
The Yapese monetary system served as tangible representations of honor and status, reinforcing the social fabric and common good of Yapese society.
So in answer to the original question “How could society store value without gold?” We would store it through a reputation system rewarding benevolence, generosity and innovation. The people who gave back to society the most would be awarded the most value in the form of reputation, not by how many precious metals they owned.
How did gold change our conceptions of society and culture?
Gold has long fascinated humanity with its allure and intrinsic non-perishable value. The presence of gold on Earth almost did not happen at all. If there were a few changes to astrophysical geometry you may not have been able to buy gold jewelry in the store. So, why is there gold on earth?
The symbolism of gold in mythology usually relates to to the concept of the Self, a central archetype in Jungian psychology representing the totality of the psyche. Because the ancients associated gold with being so rare and so precious, it came to represent knowledge of the authentic and hiddens self. Fair tales that have to do with reclaiming a lost treasure are metaphors for self discovery and reclaiming lost parts of our identity. In fairy tales, gold often appears in the form of a golden key, a golden crown, or a golden apple, serving as a powerful symbol of the transformative potential of self-knowledge. These objects are typically guarded by mythical creatures or hidden in remote locations, emphasizing the arduous nature of the journey towards self-understanding.
The origins of gold as an element on planet earth trace back to the formation of the universe itself. In the earliest moments following the Big Bang, only light elements such as hydrogen and helium were present. It was within the cores of massive stars, through the process of stellar nucleosynthesis, that heavier elements like gold began to take shape. These elements were forged through the fusion of lighter nuclei in the intense heat and pressure of stellar environments.
As these massive stars reached the end of their lives, they supernovae explosions. These scattered their noble metal enriched contents into space. The remnants of these supernovae, containing elements like gold, spread across the cosmos in the form of dust and gas. This dust and gas later condensed into rocky masses of meteors that had high concentrations of gold.
The earth itself almost had no gold. While the primordial Earth held minuscule amounts of gold, it was not until later stages of our planet’s evolution that the precious metal became concentrated enough for us to mine or value them. The late heavy bombardment period, around 4 billion years ago, witnessed a barrage of meteoritic impacts bombarding the Earth’s surface. These meteorites, originating from various sources within the solar system, carried with them a wealth of elements, including gold.
If it was not for this coincidental bombardment of asteroids there never would have been enough gold on earth for you to wear gold jewelry. There certainly would not have been enough for us to use as money, let alone build a monetary system around. So what would have happened if we never associated gold with money, power, or value?
Why is gold associated with money and currency
Gold is durable, divisible, and portable, making it an ideal medium of exchange. Additionally, gold has intrinsic value due to its luster malleability and non reactivity to other elements, which further contributed to its use as a form of currency.
The use of metal coins as a form of money emerged around 600 BCE in ancient Lydia (present-day Turkey). These coins were made from precious metals like gold, silver, and bronze, and their value was determined by their weight and purity. Gold, due to its scarcity and durability, became a preferred choice for coinage.
Over time, gold became widely accepted as a standard for money. Its scarcity, divisibility, portability, and resistance to corrosion made it an ideal medium of exchange. Gold coins became a trusted and standardized unit of value in many ancient civilizations, including the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, and Persians.
In medieval Europe, goldsmiths played a crucial role in the evolution of money and debt. People entrusted their gold and other valuable assets to goldsmiths for safekeeping. In return, the goldsmiths issued receipts, which could be used as a claim to the deposited gold. These receipts gradually started circulating as a form of paper money or representative money. This practice laid the foundation for early banking systems and the issuance of paper-based instruments representing value.
The concept of the gold standard gained prominence during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Under the gold standard, the value of a country’s currency was tied to a fixed amount of gold. Governments held gold reserves to back their currency, and individuals could exchange paper money for gold at a predetermined rate. The gold standard provided stability and confidence in the currency, as the money supply was limited by the availability of gold.
The gold standard era began to decline during the 20th century, particularly after World War I. The need for increased flexibility in monetary policy, and the costs associated with maintaining gold reserves led many countries to move away from the gold standard. Gradually, most countries shifted to fiat money, where the value of the currency is not backed by a physical commodity but rather by the trust and confidence in the government issuing it. This meant that even though there was scarcity and competition for money like there had been for gold, money was no longer backed by anything real.
Put simply, even though we do not use gold as currency or the basis for the economy any more, gold still informs our ideas about money and power. Even new forms of money like crypto currencies and NFTs are based on these old notions of scarcity that come from our ancient relationship to gold. Our ideas about money, debt scarcity and our relationship to power are informed greatly by the function that gold has played in our economy.
What does money without gold look like?
In isolated or preindustrial societies, without gold, people had an understanding that resources were meant to be shared and distributed evenly. When a need arose in society others met the need with gifts or loans. The understanding in these cultures was that safety was found in generosity and compassion not hoarded material goods. They took care of others because when they need help others will take care of them. Social merit functioned like a kind of insurance.
In these barter, communal, and gift economies power does not become the most precious resource. Instead reputation and social merit become the most precious resources. Because wealth and value cannot be hoarded materially then society allows for individuals to accrue value by being useful, inventive and generous. These systems reward people who innovate and live compassionately because societal regard becomes the most important resource, not electronic debt or precious metals.
This is because things like food, clothing and tools often degrade and lose value over time. There is no way to horde wealth because all things that contain value slowly lose that value if they are hoarded. When there is no way to horde wealth with precious metals or an electronic debt ledger, then everything is depreciating all the time. In these cultures money and value are always trending back to equality because everything is losing value all the time.
People are incentivized to share and live communally in gift economies because clout and reputation become more valuable than any good or service. These systems are empowering because when needs arise society is naturally incentivized to meet those needs not ignore them. Material wealth is always decreasing in value so social wealth has more value. Value is stored in the social ledger of reputation not a material ledger of debt.
In debt and precious metal based systems value is disempowering because wealth tends to snowball. The people with more money have access to more power and likely use that power to get even more money ad infinitum. In these systems society is incentivized to ignore others’ problems because the endless competition is for non-perishable money that increases in value, not reputation for being a benefit to society. Actually, in this system other people’s problems are a GOOD thing for me because they mean others have less power and are less likely to get the money we are all in competition for.
Why does the non-perishable nature of precious metals like gold lead to scarcity, competition and inequality?
The scarcity of precious metals allowed individuals and institutions to accumulate and hoard wealth, creating disparities in the distribution of resources. The accumulation of gold and other precious metals became a means of showcasing one’s economic power and social status. This concentration of wealth in the hands of a few individuals or entities often led to economic inequality, with limited access to resources for the majority of the population. It also led to imperial wars and conflict. This happens when the purpose of a society becomes hoarding power instead of building sustainable or equitable systems.
Is there an alternative system?
What did non industrial societies do before there was gold?
Barter and gift economies operate on different principles that can have positive psychological and environmental effects. In a barter economy, individuals engage in direct exchange, which fosters social interaction and builds relationships within communities. The act of bartering requires individuals to negotiate and understand each other’s needs, creating a sense of cooperation and interdependence.
Gift economies, where goods and services are given without the expectation of an immediate return, promote social cohesion and reinforce communal bonds. By focusing on reciprocity and sharing, gift economies prioritize the well-being of the community as a whole rather than individual accumulation of wealth. This can contribute to a sense of psychological well-being and social harmony.
Moreover, both barter and gift economies can be more environmentally sustainable compared to the hoarding of precious metals or debt based systems. These systems rely on the utilization of resources within the community, promoting local production and reducing the environmental impact of long-distance trade. In debt based systems production is outsourced to the cheapest place where the workers have the least power.
While the nonperishable nature of precious metals like gold has shaped a scarcity-based money system conducive to wealth hoarding, alternative economic systems such as barter and gift economies offer psychological and environmental advantages. These systems promote social cohesion, reduce economic disparities, and foster sustainable resource utilization.

The primary mode of exchange in a gift economy is the circulation of gifts. People give goods, services, or resources to others without an explicit agreement for immediate return or compensation. The value of gifts is not determined by their market price or exchange value but rather by the relationships and meaning attached to them.

It is based on the belief that there are enough resources and goods to meet the needs of individuals and the community as a whole. Individuals are motivated to contribute and give back to the community, as failing to do so can lead to reputational consequences. While direct reciprocity is not expected or demanded in a gift economy, there is a general understanding of the importance of reciprocity over time. Recipients of gifts may feel an obligation to reciprocate or share their own gifts with others in the future, creating a cycle of giving and receiving.

These assumptions about what is valuable and good and what the point of our societies should be is often based on outdated and unhealthy assumptions it does not occur to us to reconsider. By moving away from a mindset that prioritizes individual accumulation, gift economies encourage a sense of collective responsibility and interconnectedness. Most of the patients that I see suffer from a profound sense of separation and disconnection. If we didn’t have gold what would money look like?
If we didnt have nonperishable precious metals like gold and silver, what would money look like. There are not many other goods we can make hold value in such a small and convenient package like gold, platinum, and silver to a lesser extent do. All the noble metals have a high luster, malleability, and do not spoil with age. How would society store value without them?
Well there are a couple examples of how money developed in places without gold. My favorite is an island called Yap where there was little to no money. Instead native Yapese used 20ft tall limestone disks that weighed hundreds of pounds. So how did this money work? How do you put a 200 lb stone in a vending machine or slide it across a bar?
The Yapese never moved the stones they used as money. Instead they kept an oral and collective ledger of who owned what stones. Money that can’t fit in your wallet might seem like a crazy idea, but think of how your debit card works. There is a collective ledger somewhere out there that changes every time you slide your card even though no physical money is moved.

Material wealth is always decreasing in value so social wealth has more value. Value is stored in the social ledger of reputation not a material ledger of debt.
In debt and precious metal based systems value is disempowering because wealth tends to snowball. The people with more money have access to more power and likely use that power to get even more money ad infinitum. In these systems society is incentivized to ignore others’ problems because the endless competition is for non-perishable money that increases in value, not reputation for being a benefit to society. Actually, in this system other people’s problems are a GOOD thing for me because they mean others have less power and are less likely to get the money we are all in competition for.

If you are caught, you will, at the very least, be removed... sometimes rather physically...from the property.
If the venue or festival management are particularly prickish, you could potentially be arrested for trespassing as well.
However, smaller mid size venues, theaters, and festivals are a lot easier.
First, dress the part. Techs in the industry have an almost universal wardrobe. Depending on the season, a solid dark (grey/black) t-shirt or hoodie with some jeans or cargo shorts will do just fine.
Next you will need to spend a little money on Ebay.
I know, I know. The title says 'Want to see a FREE concert'... but everything you're buying will be reusable assuming you plan on trying this more than once.
Walking in empty handed doesn't sell as well as walking in carrying gear of some sort.
What you are looking for are a few used black NL8, NL4, or XLR cables. Not a bunch... Just a few will do the trick. Stick with lengths around 6'-10' or so. Smaller doesn't play well, and bigger ones are a pain to haul around. Buy cheap broken ones if you can. They only need to look the part.
Once you aquire the cables, coil them up and secure them together with a velcro wrap or some black para cord.
Once you have the basics, if you want to add a little extra authenticity to your kit, get a few laminated crew/all access passes from some artists and tours that have been through your area recently. They don't need to be expensive collectable ones from big name bands. You can get good looking ones from from smaller bands and venues for a few dollars on Ebay.
You're not trying to pass these off as passes for the show you're trying to see. They are simply to add some authenticity to the kit so ...at a glance... you look like a real crew member.
Throw the passes on a lanyard and tie off the lanyard to a belt loop at the 2 or 10 o'clock position so they are hanging just below the shirt or hoodie that you are wearing.
Now, if you really want to go full method and really sell it, you can also buy a broken Motorola CP200 and speaker mic as well. Clip the radio to your front pants pocket and the speaker mic to your collar.
Last but certainly not least. Look confident, grab your coil of cables, and head for the stage door.

Here's my opinions for those who are trying to decide between two: -Resolution: If you have a powerful enough PC and a decent link cable, you will have a much better Resolution (as the native resolution of quest 2 is higher than rift s) but if you don't have a powerful PC, you'll have to adjust the resolution yourself to the point it is usable for you.
*Comfort: Rift s is definitely better at comfort, it just has the best head placement ever, can be adjusted easily and fits perfectly to me. Quest 2's original head straps are really messed up, but you can make it like 10 times more comfortable by just buying a plastic back-head band (support for the back of the head).
*Controllers: Rift S controllers are fitting/hugging the hand way better for me while quest 2 controllers are bulkier due to the extra thumb-resting sensors. For the durability, quest 2 controllers are like tanks but rift s controllers can be a little bit kind to hit stuff. Both of them are going to eventually start joystick drifting (Can be easily fixed with a contact spray(without oil, don't break it)) Rift s uses magnets for the caps of battery part (which can come out if you use them very hard) while quest 2 is using clips (which are pretty pretty hard to take off) Both of them use AA batteries.
*Tracking: since I don't have a reference point other than each other, I'll compare them directly to each other; They both work great even in low-light situations. They both fail to track controllers when controllers are in front of direct sunlight. Quest 2 can't track controllers when they are very close to the headset while rift s is a little bit better at it.
*screen door effect: Rift s has a noticeable screen-door effect (you see the pixel gaps when you focus on them, not that bad tho) while quest 2 has no screen-door effect at all.
*Speakers and microphone: Rift S speakers are decent but microphone is always bugging (probably the lack of software support) Quest 2 speakers are loud, clear and bassed compared to rift S and microphone is pretty decent.
*Lenses and IPD: Rift S has a large sweet spot (focus point) in the lenses and IPD is adjusted by software (57-68). I feel like it is better than Quest 2. While quest 2 has a smaller sweet spot in the lenses and has 3 IPD stages (58-63-68) that are physically adjusted by moving the lenses. My IPD is between 58 and 63 so I had a little bit trouble focusing but after a while of usage, it magically somehow felt allright.
*Pass-Trough camera mode: both of them are black and white, can see IR light (which makes them both night-visions kind of) rift s is slightly less detailed than q2
quest 2 pros and cons: +It has an optional standalone mode which is very fun even if you think you are always gonna use it only with link +has hand tracking (even though it is poorly made, you can track your bare hands and fingers for supported standalone games) +link cable is pretty cheap and accessable +pretty modular as everyone is making quest 2 products -EXPENSIVE, but relaible. -headset loses battery over time even with playing link cable (I am using a kiwi link cable with usb C to Usb A 3.2 and battery doesn't last forever) -Latency, if you decide to play over the optimal resolution for your hardware, you will have latency. Even if you play with the most optimal/recomended resolution and frame rate, it is a link cable transfering all the data through a tiny usb C port, so it will have a very slight latency. -if you play shooting games (ex. H3VR) you will experience tracking loss when you put your controllers close to your face -you gotta somehow stabilize your link cable to your headset so it doesn't come off/ break easily
Rift S Pros and cons: +Has no latency as long as the pc is able to run the game good. +(compared to q2) Has infinite playtime +Cheaper but relaible +you don't need to buy extra stuff to use it with comfort, you can't go wrong with it. -cable is not replacable and is going to eventually break, I used mine with extreme care but it started to crash after years of usage.
(Quest 2 doesn't require Facebook anymore, I didn't sign in with one.)
Last notes: I had a 1050ti when I had a rift s and I was able to pretty comfortably finish Half life Alyx (and many other games) without lag or stutter. I have a 1070ti now and I can use my quest 2 on native resolution with 80Hz refresh rate, but it sometimes gets an increase in the latency (as an example, in the large places of boneworks) Quest 2 is made for standalone, if you get one, I say go give it a try even if you are only here for PCVR go in a safe open field (without sun of course) and try your favorite game, it was tactical assult vr for me, such an unique experience to actually breach rooms by physically walking into them!

Back at the party, Izzy is feasting herself on marshmallows and soda, which she ends up barfing from, but goes for more, which somehow charms Owen. Alejandro is saying that he has no clue how he is going to face his family like this, & hates that his older brother Jose has another thing to dunk on him with. We cut back to the frisbee game, & Brick tosses the frisbee to Cameron in the end zone. Cameron catches it & gains a point while jumping & cheering wildly. Dawn & Zoey are watching & cheering. He asks if this is what organized sports are like, & Brick says yes. Suddenly, Chris arrives holding a briefcase and offers the campers one final challenge: a race to find a briefcase that contains one-million dollars. The challenge is to locate the briefcase and bring it back to the Dock of Shame. Chris sweetens the deal saying that Ella can keep the initial 100k & still play. Ella immediately runs off with Beardo to find the million, but no one else budges. When Chris says that Ella & Beardo are about to win a very easy million, they finally budge, but not before it turns into a 20-person pile-up. Cameron suggests that maybe they could share it, but everyone besides Dawn is still bickering. They all untangle themselves, & get into the following groups: Sierra, Staci, & Sadie Cameron & Dawn Katie & Geoff Anne Maria & Alejandro (in the confessional, the latter's eye is twitching) Sky, Zoey, Jasmine, & Trent Owen, Izzy, & Max Brick & Harold Scott & Scarlett are the only ones that lack partners, so they begrudgingly team up. After two hours pass by without anyone finding the suitcase, Chris gives the first clue about its location over the loudspeakers: "It's just hanging around." The case is then seen hanging from a tree branch. Alejandro is seen walking around the woods with Anne Maria, paparazzi, who can't concentrate because she keeps staring at him. Then, wandering with Owen & Max, Izzy thinks it'd be a great idea to think like a tree to find the case, hanging from it and singing. Max asks how Owen puts up with this as Izzy is insane, which Owen replies with "insanely hot" Scarlett & Scott reach where Owen, Izzy, & Max are, & overhear where Izzy thinks the case is. Scott hops onto the tree & tries to hijack the vine, getting into a slapfight with Izzy. Trent, Sky, Jasmine, & Zoey are looking around, & notice the case in the tree. Jasmine reaches up to grab it, but a eagle takes it & flies away, causing them to groan. Just as they leave, Katie and Geoff walk right under it and start making out. Chris, watching from a helicopter above, is visibly annoyed at their incompetence. Alejandro can't stand being with Anne Maria any longer, so he ditches her by saying that he needs to use the bathroom. When Anne Maria realizes this, she is pissed. Sierra, Staci, & Sadie are walking around when Staci asks why Sadie joined them. She says that she wants to give her friend time with her boyfriend & thought that Sierra & Staci were cool. They beam at the compliment, then Alejandro shows up. He asks Staci & Sadie where they've looked for the money, & they tell him everything. He leaves smirking, & the aforementioned girls slapped their faces. The eagle with the case finally drops it, & it lands on Scott's neck, knocking him out. When he wakes up, he sees that Scarlett is gone, prompting him to call Scarlett a traitor. Then he realizes that if the situation was flipped, he'd do the same thing, & compliments her idea before running to get the case. Because Scarlett is not very athletic, she is now dealing with a stitch. In the background, Scott & Jasmine are catching up to her, causing her to turn it up a gear. Eventually, Scott & Jasmine simultaneously tackle the genius redhead, causing the case to fall into the river. The groans of Trent's group, Scott, & Scarlett can be heard all over camp. Back with Sierra's group, they are all griping about how annoyingly good he is. Sierra is saying that he should've eaten the laxative cupcakes he made for Jasmine, which get giggles from Sadie & Staci. On top of a cliff, Geoff & Katie are making out, & nearly fall from a cliff. Alejandro is scaling a tree, trying to find the case. He gets very close to an air balloon with an intern in it, causing said intern to notify Chris. The host dispatches Chef on an ATV to stop the threat. The intern tries to hit Alejandro with a boombox & cable, but Alejandro grabs on & chases the intern out and hijacks the balloon, where she then starts to head off towards the campgrounds. Brick & Harold find the floating case but must go upwards because Scott has blocked the only other way. So, Harold quickly builds a parachute to cushion the fall. Him & Brick initially float down safely, but then a pebble rips a hole in the parachute, causing them to descend quickly. They create a crater when they fall, & Brick says that he lost the case when they were plummeting. They find a canoe & start to paddle away. Cameron & Dawn find the dented case & pick up the pace so they can get to the dock. They run into Ella & Beardo, which prompts Cameron to ask if they should split the money, as c$250,000 isn't a bad reward. They all agree & go back to running. Scott hears their fall & runs back into the forest. Anne Maria has given up on looking for Alejandro & is now looking around for the million. She sprays her hair, which alerts Bacon that she's nearby. He roars at her & Anne Maria is petrified. Bacon bites on her head, losing all his teeth, which embarrasses him, causing him to run away. Anne Maria is smirking while tapping her hair, which clanks metallically. Ella, Beardo, Dawn, & Cameron are finally out of the gorge when they hear a whoosh from a hot-air balloon. Alejandro throws down the boom cord, successfully tying it around the case. Alejandro is now trying to steer, but it's getting tough because the four have now hopped onto the boom cord. He attempts to shake them off by going through a tree, but all that does is get the four closer to the basket. Back with Geoff & Katie, they are walking through the woods and encounter a baby moose, attempting to reach a branch that is too high up for it. Geoff decides to help it by lowering the branch, but Geoff slips on a mud slick, causing him to land atop the moose. When the baby's mother appears and sees Geoff on top of its baby, it's enraged. The moose starts chasing Geoff and Bridgette. Meanwhile, Chef, on his ATV, drives up to Zoey, Jasmine, Sky, and Trent, who have had no luck in the competition so far, and asks if they've seen the balloon. He explains the situation, including how Alejandro has the case and is on his way to the finish line. Both he and Zoey believe that Alejandro will definitely win. While Chef is talking, Jasmine picks up a small log nearby and knocks Chef out with it, hijacking the ATV and taking Zoey, Sky, & Trent with her. Elsewhere, Anne Maria is still searching. Geoff and Katie then race by, still being pursued by the angry moose. They tell Anne Maria to run as they race by, and she complies, joining in the dangerous chase. Alejandro's balloon starts to float into the campgrounds. Dawn, Cameron, Ella, & Beardo manage to climb into the basket with Alejandro. However, this only puts them in more danger as Alejandro puts Cameron in a headlock and demands the case from them, or they will fall. Harold and Brick arrive in the campgrounds shortly after and see the hot-air balloon with Cameron, Dawn, Ella, Beardo, & the case all inside. They quickly abandon the canoe and race into the campgrounds, only for Sky, Trent, Zoey, and Jasmine to emerge from the woods on their ATV. They are driving close to the air balloon, hoping to take it down. In the boathouse, Sierra, Sadie, & Staci are gearing up with fish water & paintballs to take down Alejandro. Staci says that she's learned a lot about paintball because her uncle owns a paintball arena. She says that she isn't lying, just look it up. The three of them hide behind the communal washrooms, finding an airborne Alejandro. They see Geoff, Katie, & Anne Maria and the moose race by, and quickly retreat. Meanwhile, the four campers who are being chased by the moose see the massive diving board platform & climb up. As they climb up to the safety of the incredibly high diving board, Sky has an idea. She runs into the mess hall & grabs the mounted deer head, running back & passes it to Zoey. She shows it to the moose & scares it into running away to the woods. Meanwhile, the hot-air balloon is about to crash, & Sky sees this. With Alejandro strangling Cameron, everyone in the basket doesn't realize any of this until it's too late. Dawn, Cameron, Ella, & Beardo are forced to jump because of this, & the fact that an eagle is about to tear a hole in the balloon. Alejandro thinks he's won but is forced to jump because of the eagle. 9 people are now on the diving board, & 8 of them are trying to knock the case out of Alejandro's mitts. Jasmine shows up out of nowhere, climbs the ladder, & successfully knocks the case out of his hands. It hits the edge of the pool below at an angle, and bounces straight towards the communal washrooms where Sadie, Staci, & Sierra reappear. Sierra grabs it & tells her teammates to run, but Max trips Sierra, & grabs the case. Staci & Sadie splatter Max with fish water & guts, making him scream & give up the case. Izzy shoves Staci out of the way, catches it, & runs with a full head of steam. It looks like Izzy will have a cool million until she trips on thin air & fumbles the case. It is at this moment when everything starts to fall apart: Izzy quickly gets back to her feet and chases after the case. Trent & Sky run past Sadie & a bucket-headed Max, but Owen is catching up. Scarlett runs out of the forest, right in front of the wobbling diving board. It breaks, & everyone besides Anne Maria is sliding on the speeding diving board, which picks up Scarlett. The former is in a ground crater. The moose, after having presumably defeated Zoey, rides in with Duncan on its back, also racing towards the Dock. Harold is running to the dock, trying to reach the case. As the moose rides onto the Dock, it bucks Zoey off its back into the water. The diving board group slides by, heading straight for Izzy, Scarlett, Trent, Harold, Max, Owen, and the case just as they are all right on the end of the Dock. These fifteen campers instantly collide at once, & land in the water along with Zoey, who's there already. As these sixteen emerge to the surface, the briefcase is floating by itself in the water, until a shark rises beneath it and swallows it. The seagull with the fragment of net wrapped around its neck points and laughs at the campers' misfortune, until the same shark eats it. So, to break this tie, they will all have to return for another shot at the million dollars in season two. Some campers like Ella & Cameron are enthused, while others like Scarlett & Jasmine look less pleased. He tells the dry campers - Scott, Anne Maria, Sadie, Staci, Brick, & Sierra that they will be watching on the sidelines, losing their shot at winning. Scott is the most vocal against this, & Jasmine asks if she & him can switch. Chris says no dice, as the fine print says that you must play. In the confessional, Katie & Sadie are sad to be separated, but Sadie says that they both will be fine, as they have other friends. For example, I see lots of people use zip ties, but I’m partial to Velcro cable wraps because you can add/remove much easier. Also for identification, do you prefer to label the hot with a cable flag, or label the breaker, or create a diagram on the panel door, etc. that kind of stuff.

That’s all I ask! I know that a lot of things about this don’t seem to make sense at first, and I can explain everything. In this post, I will go over what the commonality between BB and the Crying Child is, how BB existed in 1983, how the crying child possessed BB to begin with, and what the purpose of the Crying Child possessing BB is. Let’s start with this explanation: BB has been misunderstood. Beyond superficial appearances, there is someone who is closer to the crying child than people give any credit for. I think this is as good a start as any. I think the first misunderstanding is BB’s emotional state. Like, I know a lot of people in the community make art or headcanons or jokes or stuff: that’s one thing, but, in debating the lore, as in discussing the actual canon, I have, I kid you not, seen other theorists write BB off based off of the expression carved into his face. Crying Child or not, the kid in BB in any case cannot be any happier than the others over this situation! Some people don’t like that he laughs at us during gameplay, but can we really take his laugh at face value? He laughs when nobody is there. He says “Hi” and “Hello” when nobody is around. If BB is trying to scream or cry, then what’s stopping THAT from just coming out as a laugh, too? Can we really just say BB is as carefree as he looks? No, we cannot. There’s more to BB in FNAF2 than meets the eye. And, rest assured, I WILL dig into that later this post. But before that, you might be wondering, But before that, most of you probably have some other pressing questions that we ought to get out of the way first. “Did BB actually exist in 1983?” “How would the crying child possess BB, and why?” “What evidence is there that singles out BB as a better candidate for who the crying child possesses So let’s get on with that. The Steam Page clearly says that we are playing as the crying child during the night segments, Fredbear plush and the other plushies saying “We are still your friends” makes a lot more sense if the crying child had just finished being tormented by Nightmarish versions of them, The minigames with the child parallel the gameplay directly: Fredbear attacks the night before the child is bitten, and Foxy begins attacking the night after we first see FoxyBro’s jumpscare. Finally, while Golden Freddy is not the crying child, the only way the Nightmares would have gotten into UCN is if the crying child told TOYSNHK about them and showed him what they look like. Furthermore, Nightmare Fredbear’s UCN dialogue directly references the crying child. (Such as “We know who are friends are, and you are not one of them!” and “Let me put you back together…so I can tear you apart again”. Nightmare Fredbear. The head of the Nightmares. Only references the crying child in his dialogue. So in conclusion, the evidence that the crying child had the nightmares is quite strong, and the only thing that contradicts has inconsistencies of its own. There’s a good case to be made here. And that means that, since Nightmare BB is canon, the crying child saw Nightmare BB at one point and thus Balloon Boy has to exist. And lastly, the nanny, the head of the table, would probably represent Charlie herself, the unofficial leader and protector of the missing children. And finally, the server bot: a dead ringer for BB. All part of a circle surrounding a Fredbear’s poster. I, therefore, believe that this is a sign Balloon Boy was at Fredbear’s as well, nicely corroborating Nightmare BB’s canonicity. Curse of DreadbearAlso, while Curse of Dreadbear certainly has animatronics appearing outside of 1983, I would specifically like to bring your attention to the plushkins and their masks, which are of:Freddy, Chica, Foxy, and…Balloon Boy?You would expect this quartet to have Bonnie, to make a whole member of the OG four. If BB was made in 1987, this makes the masks all the more out of place. It’s a subtle sign that, like the Withereds, BB predates the toy’s existence.What about SaveThem?What about SAVETHEM? This list goes like this:Fredbear Spring Bonnie The Puppet BBFreddy Bonnie Chica Foxy Golden Freddy And then we can do this:Fredbear BB Looking at the two final choices, while it may be tempting to choose Fredbear, I ask: what would be the point? Where has Fredbear figured into the actual lore at any point after crushing the crying child’s head? Aside from UCN, we have never seen Fredbear ever again after this. If the crying child possessed Fredbear, that would be it for the protagonist of FNAF4. But one of the hints Scott gave was “Four Games, One Story”. So looking at the context of the franchise as a whole, especially in the context of the first four games, Fredbear doesn’t show up at all. Golden Freddy does, but he’s not Fredbear, and he’s already possessed. And even if you are of the “Golden Freddy is Fredbear” camp, well, Golden Freddy is already possessed. But if the crying child, whom FNAF4 centers on, plays a role in this one story of four games, then why would he be Fredbear? Fredbear only debuts in FNAF4, if the crying child possessed him then that would mean that while everything else is happening, he’s either been long-scrapped or is just rotting alone in an abandoned diner…yeah, I don’t think he’s Fredbear. Also, the crying child FEARS Fredbear! He had to be dragged to Fredbear kicking and screaming. In what world would his ghost willingly be attached to Fredbear after death?But then we have BB. The crying child did have nightmares about BB too, (which is a key way to verify how to prove BB is in 1983) but there are some signs that the crying child’s fear of BB is much less severe:
How did the Crying Child Possess BB?Now, let’s answer some critical questions about how The Crying Child would possess BB and why.There are some theories about HOW possession works, involving “remnant”, and about pain following flesh, but remember, the only book series Scott ever said we could use to solve the games was Fazbear’s Frights. For that reason, I will leave the books out of this reasoning. Does remnant exist in the games? Yes. Does it play any kind of role in any FNAF4? Not really, as Remnant wasn’t mentioned at all in any of the games until FFPS. Also, I may repeat this a lot, but remember, whatever is in FNAF1 - 4 we should be able to reason out without outside help. I’m gonna use evidence in later games, of course, but if the evidence is only found in books / later games, then we should be careful. Since this post is focused on solving FNAF4 and not after. We know very little about how possession works in reality. Let me show you what we DO know for certain: and how it makes it entirely possible for CC to possess BB. Quick Add: From what we see in FFPS, the sixth FNAF game, while remnant is clearly connected to possession, it doesn’t really add any rules: we don’t know where it comes from, how you get it, or anything - just that it attached Mike’s soul to his rotting body and that heat weakens its power, nothing that contradicts the simple rules above. So to recap: No contact possession is possible, Puppet can help other kids possess stuff… This works for BBVictim. What is Charlie’s Role in All This?The puppet is an especially strong player in the process of CC possessing an animatronic, even though, yes, The Fredbear Plush is the one who says they will put the crying child together.But, here’s the thing: Charlie is the Fredbear Plush! I definitely shouldn’t lose my fellow Charlieplushers on this subreddit :D But for the uninitiated, you are either welcome to look at this Charlieplush master post here, while I will lay down the basics here. Charlie has always been shown to be an especially capable spirit. She is the only ghost shown to help other children possess animatronics. Phone Guy calls her out as “always thinking”, and “can go anywhere”. In general, I’m trying to say that Charlie may have additional or stronger abilities than the other spirits, like temporarily possessing a Fredbear plushie to watch over a kid who clearly needs her help. Plus she can leave her body, which would help her temporarily possess the plush. Willplush falls flat given the plush speaks when Will is nowhere near the private room, helps out William’s victims by planning Happiest Day in FNAF World, and has strange periods of time when its eyes are unlit and unlit (almost as if whatever is controlling has periods of “entering” and “leaving” it…like, say, the ghost Charlie possessing it?) With that in mind, with the “core four” games in mind, Charlie, and ONLY Charlie works as the Fredbear Plush. The Crying Child/BB in FNAF WorldBut there’s another connection I need to go through: FNAF World. The crying child possessing BB also covers CC’s role enigmatic role in FNAF World.We all know about the opening where two disembodied glowing eyes tell someone “I will put you back together” and later, “We are still your friends.”Clearly, the plush is speaking to the crying child. However, there is more we can learn about this scene. So, you know how FNAF2 ambiance (CMPTR_LOW_TECH_STAT) plays in the opening of FNAF World, as well as the clock ending?This subtle detail explains a lot about FNAF World…to me, it says that the opening and clock ending take place in 1987, in the FNAF2 building. This makes perfect sense if the crying child is Balloon Boy, and the Fredbear plush is Charlie. But what does Charlie mean by “I will you back together?” the same thing she meant back in 1983 - stabilize his spirit now that his body is broken. Find a place for it to inhabit. Since FNAF World’s secret route, in addition to being linked to the crying child is also linked to the happiest day, could it be linked to the arcade games? Also of note is the fact that the clock ending follows a series of minigames with a distinct connection to the happiest day. We know the crying child had a big role in Happiest Day as well from FNAF World. So, how does BB play into the happiest day? Happiest DayBB…actually has a big role in Happiest Day. He helps out with a lot of tasks, he ties in with Mangle at four tasks, helping RWQ reach Jeremy to give him a cake, helping Mangle and Toy Chica reach their objectives with balloons, and giving cake to Gabriel.But there's still one odd thing about BB that is only shared with The Puppet: you can go to his minigame at any time, whenever you like. And you have to go there twice. I am of the firm belief that in these minigames, it really is BB’s spirit represented as the player of BB’s air adventure, likewise for Mangle, Golden Freddy, The Puppet, and Shadow Bonnie. If it turns out the trail of breadcrumbs was for BB/The Crying Child, who has an involvement in practically every minigame, then that fulfills BV’s happiest day role as alluded to in FNAF World! What BB actually does in FNAF2So now that I’ve told you about BB and what he’s done and who he is, we have to return to FNAF2.I’ve been thinking carefully about it a lot, and I’ve come to some conclusions that, as I said before, BB has been misunderstood. The below picture, with BB’s carved-on smile cropped out, and a full battery meter, both show that BB’s happiness is superficial and he does not modify the battery power. He uses them for other things than just to laugh. He could be scared he’s in the same office as the killer. He could be scared of a lot of things, with the Crying Child’s ghost. BB’s manipulation of the lights in the office is what is called a passive skill. It’s something that Bonnie and Chica also do. It’s just something that happens when animatronics are near certain devices. Being so close to all those generators probably futzed with the electricity. It’s called Micro EMP obstruction. OK, but you must be wondering where I’m going with this, so I’ll cut to the point. If we’ve established that BB isn’t directly interfering with our equipment and he’s not actually happy about all of this, to what extent is he intentionally causing us harm?Keep in mind, he could attack us directly via jumpscare but does not. Now I can practically hear you all protesting that BB is too small to attack the guard like that, but is that actually a thing? A threshold where it’s simply impossible for an animatronic to attack a guard?
And there are other things that suggest the crying child/BB isn’t putting in his all here: for one, look at the Freddy Head: Most animatronics either are or aren’t fooled by the Freddy Head. There’s no in-between. Foxy and The Puppet are not fooled. Everyone else is…except for BB. His reaction to the Freddy Head differs depending on where he is. If you show it to him in the vent, he’ll run. If you show it to him while he’s in the office, he’ll freeze and start vocalizing his laugh ad nauseum while your lights stop working. And furthermore, if you do get him with the mask? Here’s what he does: he will, always, without fail, run all the way back to his starting position! Why?! That’s so inefficient! He slowly works his way up to the office and then completely resets his progress! Most animatronics, with the exception of Toy Freddy, Foxy, and Freddy, do not go back to their starting positions, and even they don’t have to walk as far as BB. In this minigame, he is able to stand up after a moment of coaxing. The first one, however, the crying child locking up due to overwhelming distress is pretty much the main point of the game. What if, what is actually happening when the crying child /BB goes into the office is that he gets scared and starts freaking out, but it comes out as laughter? I’ll lay out the scenario: The Crying Child / BB, having been killed by accident and apologized to by his brother, has no real motives for revenge on any of that stuff. But he is still afraid of the dark just like he was alive, so he gets sick of staying still alone in the dark and tries to go find somewhere to go. When he reaches the office, if the guard puts on the mask while he’s in the vent, he’ll be afraid and run back to his starting position because he’s scared of the mask. “But what about when he stays in the office and laughs?” Well, for some reason, something different happens. He locks up, the way he did in some of the FNAF4 minigame segments. He locks up and can’t move and starts crying. “It sounds like he’s laughing.” Ah, but remember what I said? His laugh could just as well be a sign of fear. Only three prerecorded noises - that’s all he has. That is all the crying child has. So basically his Micro EMP interference causes problems with the light, but if you don’t scare him back to his place with the mask then he’ll freeze up in place and panic in the form of laughter! Other HintsAnd the cherry on top is that there is STILL more to suggest that the crying child possesses Balloon Boy.Fruit Punch Clown Fruit Punch Clown is a small, seemingly innocuous minigame from Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Simulator. However, within the context of BBVictim, it gains a brand new meaning: you see, the objective of the minigame is to “Surprise” as many children as possible. These children are represented by models of Balloon Boy, instead of Helpy. And how does Fruit Punch Clown accomplish the act of “surprising” the children? He stands behind them and startles them. To me, this sounds more like something a mean older brother would say. Finally, there’s a hint at BBVictim in Security Breach: BB World. BB World keeps BB relevant, and also there are hints that we haven’t discovered all the dialogue in the minigame - which in turn hints that there is another spirit in the arcade besides whatever is making that sinister "Good Night" text. |

 | 1792 had been a gruelling campaign, but ultimately, Benedict Arnold pulled through. He lost the popular vote by a wide margin due to Paine's incredible popularity among farmers. However, though Paine lost the Chief Consular elections, he would be going to the Liberty Manor, in the American capital of New York City. Due to the Jefferson Gambit, an attempt to put Jefferson in the Manor, Thomas Paine received the second most votes. Thomas Paine would be elected as Benedict Arnold's Vice Consul. In the coming years, the two of them would have astounding differences. Paine was the spokesperson of the farmers, while Arnold was viewed as the man who scorched their farms and plundered their cities. Furthermore, in Jefferson's absence, John Jay was appointed Secretary of State, giving the cabinet a clear Federalist lean. The Fraunces Tavern Conspiracy wouldn't be revealed for several years. Westsylvania Paine wished to see Westsylvania as its own state. However, as the Vice Consul, his powers were limited. Instead, he used his limited influence to encourage a simple compromise. The capital of Pennsylvania would be moved to Pittsburgh, firmly near Westsylvanian lands. Furthermore, the Agrarians and Republicans would work together to repeal the Whiskey Tax. Celebrations upon the repeal of the Whiskey Tax. The Hamilton Plan, Round II Hamilton was pleased to see a plurality in the Senate. The House, on the other hand, was dominated by the Agrarian Justice Party. Though Hamilton was fearful, ironically, they would be instrumental in his plans. The Agrarian Justice Party actually supported a bank. They believed it would stabilize the so-called "currency anarchy" plaguing the frontier. Many Agrarians also fiercely opposed the Republican reliance on metallic currency, believing that paper fiat currency was what's right for farmers. Most farmers agreed, despite their loathing of the Federalists. When it came to funding the Bank, and America itself, Hamilton argued for tariffs. Paine had a radical idea: a citizens' dividend. However, such frivolities would have to wait. Hamilton meets with several Agrarians, seeking to pass the Bank Charter Act. After the meeting, Paine promised to encourage the Agrarians to vote for the bank charter. In a landslide vote, the national bank was chartered. In exchange, Hamilton forced the few Federalists in Virginia to cast a tie-breaking vote. The Eleventh Amendment had passed, and slavery's days were numbered. This would not go well down south. Disunion? South Carolina ratifies secession from the Union. The south believed that they were no longer represented by the government, and so elected to split. South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina, all together, split to establish the Confederate States of Columbia. Blue = Union, Green = Confederacy War Plan White Benedict Arnold didn't care much about slavery. However, he despised traitors. Arnold quickly levied a standing army, calling up the militias to his side. The militias of the south were organized into the Columbian Grand Army. Virginia's militia was split in two, half deserting to the Columbians and the other remaining loyal to the union. Around this time, a militia leader known as Andrew Jackson proclaimed the Franklin Free State, supposedly the newest state in the Union. Many frontiersmen, who felt unrepresented by North Carolina and were staunch friends of the Union, joined him. Jackson would eventually take a significant trip to Atlanta, Georgia. Benedict Arnold mustered all the powers the executive was granted to crush the rebels. As the so-called "star-spangled banner" was hoisted by his army, the new rallying cry was shouted by the army of the free. "Down with the traitors, and up with the stars!" A House Divided Jefferson was conflicted. He believed in states rights', but would he really go so far as secession and disunion? Ultimately, he decided that the American Experiment was not a failure. He demanded that America put down the "crown loyalists" and snuff out their rebellion as fast as possible. Thomas Jefferson helped to keep Virginia in the union. Benedict Arnold believed that a show of force, a demonstration that he meant every word of his rhetoric, would be enough to quell the revolt. And so, in October, Arnold rode down south. Until then, it was up to Congress to determine policy. The Federalists were all in favour of War Plan White, and crushing the south. They further believed that this was not a civil war, but a simple secession crisis. The Republicans believed in moderation, and that the south was seceding only reluctantly. They pushed for restraint, but weren't afraid to engage in warfare to defeat the traitors. Many Republicans, however, sympathized with the rebels in the south. The Agrarian Justice Party, oddly enough, took the hardest stance. They believed in the Emancipation Ordinance, freeing slaves in enemy-occupied territory.
