Small table I knocked together in an hour for my dad
I saw he had his battery charger just sitting on the floor of the breezeway, so I challenged myself to make a small table to fit between the chair and the door to the garage. I even found an old piece of wormy chestnut for the top so it matches the paneling in the breezeway. Made from all scrap pieces I had in the shop.

2023.06.06 05:26 puller359 The search for a smaller work flashlight

The search for a smaller work flashlight
A couple months ago I decided I needed a smaller and brighter flashlight than everyone I work with. We pretty much all have Streamlight Stinger’s and Polystinger’s. They last me about a year and get well abused.
In my search I found the Nitecore MH10 https://www.nitecorestore.com/Nitecore-MH10v2-EDC-Flashlight-p/fl-nite-mh10v2.htm?gclid=Cj0KCQjwj_ajBhCqARIsAA37s0ygKbzPORo0O6xf11MpwowN2-l9I-yVSeoTkB0jddOuXfwBLObSxa8aAtxKEALw_wcB and was pretty much set on it, but found this sub and learned about the Wurkkos FC11. From there I found out about the FC12, and purchased it. https://wurkkos.com/wurkkos-fc12-usb-c-rechargeable-tactical-flashlight-sft40-2000lm-345m-throw-powerful-torch-with-tail-switch-2-groups_p0038.html?VariantsId=10750
I also purchased some 18650 batteries and a charger.
My Wurkkos came while I was laid off for paternity leave. I loved it and carried it daily. So much brighter and smaller than the Stinger. Unfortunately I went back to work and it lasted 3 days.
If you’re still with me, here’s where I need help. Is it abnormal for a Wurkkos to not hold up, or par for the brand? Should I try to warranty it or get another one?
If not, what other lights take 18650 batteries and are in the 500-800 lumen range. Turbo is cool but not necessary. Coworker picked up the streamlight protac pictured in the basement of a plant where it probably fell 40+ feet.
TLDR: What light takes 18650 batteries and holds up the best, $50-$100 budget.
Thank you

2023.06.06 05:24 SweetVi224 [E410MA] Battery Issues

One night, my battery was at 94% when it appeared to stop charging. If I unplug my charger, it shuts down. Since then, my laptop has been solely dependent on the charger to keep it on. When I turn off my laptop and I don’t use it for some time, the next time I open my laptop, the battery level is lower even with with charger plugged. This goes on until my battery level is at 12% and it doesn’t want to be charged. I needed at least 20% to update my BIOS, which I can’t do given the circumstances.

2023.06.06 05:11 filmguy123 Safe to charge new GH6 batteries in old GH5 charger?

I know the GH6 can accept both batteries (but some limited functions if using older GH5 battery).
My question is, are the chargers compatible? Is it safe to charge a new GH6 battery using one of my older GH5 chargers? (I have several, both official LUMIX and 3rd party wasabi).

2023.06.06 05:09 gunzrcool [S][USA-FL] Fuji X-T10 w/ Fujifilm XF 23mm F/2 R WR Lens & TTartisans 27mm F/2.8 Lens - Good Condition!

Aged to Perfection, Fuji X-T10 with twin lens powerhouse kit!
Are you a photography enthusiast hunting for a great deal? Or perhaps a vintage-tech connoisseur who gets their kicks from owning things that were cool before TikTok was a thing? Look no further because I've got just the treat for you!
Presenting the Fuji X-T10, a camera that packs as much character as it does power. And by character, we mean a few minor scratches on the screen - the ultimate sign of wisdom and experiences! Just think of them as laugh lines. The screen's just been laughing...a lot. And let's face it, it's not like your hipster glasses don't have a scratch or two!
But, if you can see past the exterior (much like you see past the mainstream trendsetters to find true beauty), you'll be rewarded with the heart of a lion in this body of a... slightly aged gazelle. Everything works beautifully. Not "kind of" beautifully, but "my-Icelandic-grandma-knits-her-own-sweaters-and-they're-flawless" beautifully.
And what's a great camera without an equally outstanding lens duo? The Fuji X-T10 comes with not one but TWO stunning lenses.
The TTArtisans F/2.8 27mm lens. If this lens were a person, it'd be that cool, hipster friend who knows all the underground music before it's cool, serves you the best artisanal coffee, and somehow manages to pull off a beret without looking pretentious. And he's really easy to please.
The slightly speedier, graciously wider Fuji F/2 23mm lens, a reliable best buddy that always gets you the best angle, knows all your good sides and never tells anyone about your embarrassing karaoke sessions.
So, folks, here's your chance to grab this undeniably charming Fuji X-T10 and its brilliant lens sidekicks, offering you all the Instagrammable moments you can handle. I mean, have you see the fuji film sims?? And the best part? You'll also earn ultimate bragging rights - because nothing screams "OG photographer" more than a previously loved Fuji X-T10. I mean, everyone and their barista has an x100v now... gross conformists.
Get ready to turn your life into an indie film that's part charming, part quirky, but always picture perfect! This deal won't last long, folks. So grab it, before it ages into another classic that got away!

2023.06.06 05:04 e20money Help & Direction Needed

Hey Hive Mind, I need some advice on what to do. I have 4x 2890x batteries for my main RC; I have the EZ-Peak Live Dual Charger. I recently went to Europe for 60 days before leaving, I put all my batteries in "Store" mode. Upon return, within about two weeks post, I tossed my batteries back on the charger, and I got the red light of death. I grabbed my handy dandy cell checker, and it said "ERR"... I've tried every trick I can find online to get some life back into these, all with no luck.
So, what did I do wrong? What should I have done differently? Is there a better charger I should be using or better batteries? I'm getting ready to shell out and buy 4x new batteries, I'm happy to buy the top-of-the-line ones and a new top-of-the-line charger too.
I should add these batteries are right at 24 months old... Is it just time to replace them?
I appreciate any advice, and thank you in advance!

2023.06.06 04:05 TellmSteveDave NiMH battery charging

My NiMH battery gets pretty hot when charged on my spektrum smart charger.
It’s an ARRMA 1800mAh 7.2v battery, and the default NiMH settings on the charger are 5.0A and 8mV.
Would changing any of these settings keep it from getting so hot? The charger that came with the battery only has an output of 500mA…but that takes foreeeeeever.

2023.06.06 03:56 Hexides New Pixel 7 Charging Issues

Received my Pixel 7 today and had 9% battery out of the box, first thing I did was plug it in to charge. 30 mins later the battery went up by barely 1%.
Based on some quick google searches, it seems I must have a "usb-c-pd 3.0 pps charger"? Is this true?
My current setup is in fact pretty jank, a generic Toplife USB-C cable plugged directly into an extension board, but I was expecting it to charge within at least 3-5h, not 1% per 30 mins.
To troubleshoot, I used my friend's charger (he has a Samsung) which is a generic looking power block plugged into the wall and the Pixel 7 began charging in a feasible manner (slowly, but more like 20% per hour, than 1% per 30 mins).
My setup:
https://i.ibb.co/5ky1Zny/Untitled.png
I tend to travel a lot so I generally rely on being able to plug my phone directly into USB-A female ports like the ones on airplane entertainment systems or portable external battery packs. If I can't do that with my phone it's a dealbreaker for me and I'd want to return it.
I'm not very experienced with phones or electrical standards/terms, so I was hoping someone with more experience could let me know about if this is standard battery behaviour for the Pixel 7, and what part of my setup may be causing this issue.

2023.06.06 03:42 RyogAkari ZLink 5 Android Auto Wireless Issue (Connecting appears to be timing out)

Hi everyone!
I am attempting to get the wireless Android Auto to work with my head unit. I have tried quite a few things to get it to connect without success. Android Auto does work with a wired connection which is great but not what I need in the end if possible.
I connect my phone through bluetooth and follow the instructions in the manual it came with. ZLink5 automatically boots and starts to say "Connecting, Please Wait" and my phone says "Looking for Android Auto" (or something close to that) and sometimes says "Android Auto Connected, follow the instructions on your car screen" (or something close to that) however the "Connecting, Please Wait" on my car screen keeps spinning until it times out and never connects. The bluetooth call and audio works just fine.
I don't completely understand all of the things necessary for ZLink5 to work. Is it true that my phone has to connect through the wifi hotspot on the headunit? The manual for Zlink5 seems to imply that this will automatically hook up. My headunit is a 2.4 GHz hotspot and my phone doesn't seem to find it when I look for it. Is is possible that is the issue?
As for continuing with a wired connection, the USB on the headunit when connected drains my phone battery. In another thread this device was suggested: Sinistar USB C Adapter however that would make it so I would also need to order a male to male usb adapter to plug it into my head unit. Would a device like this work instead: USB Splitter Headphones or would it not (which I assume) because it is for headphones and not necessary data transfer.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to answer my questions!

2023.06.06 03:39 jayylmao15 Issue: USB-C charger rapidly switching between "charging" state and "on battery" state

I am currently unable to charge my 2022 Ryzen 6900HS + Radeon RX 6700s device with USB-C power delivery. When plugged in, the device will rapidly switch between "charging" and "on battery" states. I have GHelper 0.79.0 installed, but the issue started happening before I updated GHelper. Additionally, I have tried installing an AMD Radeon driver update and a Windows Update in the beta channel, neither of which have fixed the issue. I haven't tried changing the BIOS but I am on version 318. Barrel plug charger works fine, though. Lastly, reinstalling Armoury Crate and running GHelper's script to reenable all Asus services does not fix the issue. An interesting thing to note is that when reinstalling Armoury Crate, the dedicated GPU does not properly show up in the app. I don't think the issue is in the adapter or cable, either, as I have still been able to charge my phone and other devices through them. Additionally, I had no issues charging the laptop a few weeks ago.

In summary:
I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and, if they have resolved it, what they did. Otherwise, suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Umarex/Elite Force ARX-160 Elite: $180
Good condition, scuffing on barrel and flash hider. Missing rear iron sight, will update if I find it. Has a tight bore barrel, I believe 6.03mm.
Great gun, electric blowback, locking bolt. Chrono’d at 380fps w/ .20g. Single and Full auto. Folding stock w/ quick swap spring system and quick release barrel. Comes with Bravo 1x30 RDS. Retailed $293. Will come with 2 high cap mags unless purchased as a bundle with M4.
Mini Tamiya connector.

Marushin 2 Shot Green Gas Derringer: $40
Like new condition, used in one game
Fun little gun for messing around with. Never was chrono’d, but the manufacturer lists 200fps w/ .20g. Great for game modes where hiding weapons is advantageous, such as hostage.

KWC Full Metal CO2 Desert Eagle: $120
Very Good condition, minor scuffing on fire select switch and edges
Kicks hard. Has full auto and single fire mode. Comes with 1 mag. Evike lists FPS around 370-420 w/ .20g.

WE G17 Green Gas: $80
Good cosmetic condition, iffy mechanical.
Comes with 1 regular mag and 1 Timberwolf extended mag. Currently having an issue where the mag dumps all the gas after 3-4 shots. I’m guessing it’s a lubrication issue but I don’t have the time to diagnose it.

Umarex IWI Uzi CO2 Blowback: $120
Good condition. Cosmetic scratches around mag release, palm safety, and charging handle. Mags have scratches on them. Does not have orange tip
Licensed IWI Uzi. Strong kick. Full auto and single fire. One mag leaks very very mildly. One mag occasionally won’t catch the bolt when empty. No chrono but Evike listed around 380-400fps w/ .20g 2 mags have trouble releasing the CO2 cartridge from the bottom with an allen wrench. Unsure of cause, believed the plastic holding the metal cracked. See pictures

Tokyo Marui P90TR: $75
Poor cosmetic condition, decent mechanical condition. Been spray painted jungle camo. Charging handle spring is missing and the charging handle slides freely.
Great CQB hybrid bullpup design. Comes with 1 low/mid cap imitation bullet mag (hold 50-75rds), and 1 high cap mag (300 rds). Also comes with metal amplifier tip and plastic spray painted flash hider tip. Includes Strike 1x20x30 RDS.
Chrono’d at 315 w/ .20g

Unknown Brand M4: $50
Decent cosmetic condition, unknown mechanical.Don’t know much about this one. Traded for it in a losing trade. Has an elite force lower, but unknown internals. One of the screws holding the motor in is missing. Comes with 2 high cap mags
Chrono’d at 335 w/ .20g.

UK Arms Spring Sniper: $25
Good mechanical condition, acceptable cosmetic condition.
Never got this one chrono’d and I can't find any info on it. Realistically it probably shoots around 350fps, but I’ve honestly got no clue. Comes with a Frontier 2.5x32 scope that I think might actually be a pistol scope.

All guns work to the best of my knowledge, unless otherwise stated but have been sitting for 5+ years. The gas/CO2 guns may have minor issues due to dried seals.
No original boxes for any guns.
Buyer pays shipping unless negotiated, if you buy a gun or bundle I’ll pay for shipping insurance.
First person to buy an AEG gets a free mini deans/T Plug to mini Tamiya adaptor if they want it.
AEGs will not come with batteries because of the hassle/risk of shipping LiPO
Tape on M4 mags is because I wanted to make a double stack/flip mag. It worked pretty well for a few months before it fell apart. Will remove and clean at buyer’s request

Which Ryobi Days deal is the better one to go with?
I was thinking of doing the two 4ah batteries with a cordless multi tool or router. But, for the extra $100 I get a battery with more power and I could get the brushless 1/2 impact wrench. Are the brushless tools that much better? I have most of the essential tools that they offer just not brushless option. Some of the OG blue ones.

Hi! I have here a Zoom S (Z3 Zoom/ZE553KL) that's failing to charge - when plugged in, it just vibrates every other second, no charge. Tried a few different chargers to no avail. Obviously doesn't hard restart either. Looks like a bricked phone, but owner tells me it was completely fine and nothing of note happened or was done to it before this started happening.
Phone previously had a swollen battery which I replaced myself and checked it was working properly.
Any ideas much appreciated!

2023.06.06 02:44 vernilla How many kindles is too many?

I'm debating on buying a paperwhite and would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations for my situation. I feel like owning 3 kindles is a bit much but I know yall will understand.
I've had an oasis for quite a while and recently upgraded to the scribe in December. I absolutely LOVE the scribe and haven't used the oasis since purchasing it, however I failed to realize the scribe isn't waterproof. I've got a trip to the beach coming up and don't want to risk damaging the scribe. I'm also thinking the smaller device would be much more convenient to travel with. A normal person would just take the oasis but the battery life is horrible and it uses a different charger than everything else.
I'm thinking I would be much happier ditching the oasis and getting a paperwhite instead. I'm just not sure if the smaller screen will bother me or if it's worth spending the money when I already have two others.
