I know that this is a bit long but I needed a place to vent and thought that this could bring about some meaningful discussion about important and relevant issues.
Something that really irks about people like presuppositionalist Orthodox apologist YouTuber Jay Dyer is that they give off the impression to their audience that believing in science and evolution is "soyboy Reddit [email protected] sh\t*" and it pisses me off to no end and the rhetoric of people like Dyer is sort of working on the "masses" (however you define the masses). There's another Orthodox Christian YouTuber who "epically owns the atheists" called Kyle and he's literally just a Dyer copycat except Dyer livestreams and Kyle doesn't.
Ken Ham and the Hovinds are still highly relevant in fundamentalist Christian circles but I wonder if Dyer and Kyle will eventually replace them and be the new fundamentalist fact-deniers or will Dyer and Kyle's adherence to a denomination most popular in Eastern Europe be to their detriment in trying to appeal to a mainly North American audience?
And these people revel in being ignorant and anti-science or as they call it "Scientism", Kyle literally thinks that the CERN collider is a portal to Hell because of a clearly staged Internet video where a group of cultists pray to a statue of Shiva (a gift from India to CERN) and loves to call evolution a "Hindu fairytale" because it loosely matches with tales in Hindu mythology and due to that fact was easily accepted by Hindus when they learned of it.
Like these people are utter idiots yet they have a relatively large following on sites like Twitter (thanks Elon) I saw one account, a Catholic Anime fan YouTuber named PaxTube who retweeted a New York Post article about an obviously staged "witch sighting" and said and I quote "Reminder that the ‘Satanic Panic’ was justified and a reaction to real Satanism & witchcraft"
I decided to read the article and in it; two "witches" are shown eating a decaying horse carcass. It was obviously fake and the article mentions that the "witches" appear to be blondes wearing wigs yet this twit and everyone in the replies agreed with him and said that "real 1970s Satanic murders" have been ignored because angry Redditors who liked D&D don't want to admit that their parents were right and I just can't believe that these grown adults in the 21st century are acting like witch burners from the Middle Ages.
I know that these people are a relatively small minority but boy are they annoying and idiotic. I can't imagine what life would be like if these people took control of the country I live in!
I would probably be executed for being an atheist and a bisexual. And I feel like this while living on the other side of the planet, I can't imagine what this feels like for those who live in the Bible Belt!

Sorry for the title but had a long and annoying 16hr shift.
It’s a problem i keep seeing from facility to facility. Especially of registry Rns. Don’t get me wrong lvns and cnas get flak too…
Today was in a SNF had 60 patients…. 300 bed facility. There were three RNs. I’m registry so it’s my first day here meeting all these patients…I can’t complain about hard shifts… you get cakewalks sometimes others are something like Russian roulette.
I’m passing meds and the RN is just chilling in her phone watching YouTube instagram whatever. She did 0 rounds all 16 hours. I had

• 3 falls -2 admissions -1 desaturating patient
• two psych patient getting into a fight -12 Medicare charting, 8 COCs, 4 weeklies.
• patients running out of narcotics and other meds because the regulars hadn’t refilled. Screaming at me because they were out.
• Cnas trying to tell me what to do because they’ve known the patient for however many years. Just ignore the orders in the screen.

And the RN helped with not a Dmn thing. - didn’t cover breaks -didn’t help with charting - didn’t call doctors or families or pharmacy. - didn’t assess patients after falls or fights - didn’t call 911 or stabilize anyone - didn’t reorder any meds - didn’t take any vitals or help with med pass - didn’t touch the admissions. - told the lvns to manage the phones. - didn’t speak to the cnas
Got mad when we asked for help saying “ oh my god I’m busy” or “ I’ll help you guys if I have a chance but I’m really helping you guys out”
I asked the staff and they were saying RNs here only did IVs and supervise. She had no Ivs that double.
Later I was chatting and asked how much she was paid….. $75 she showed me in app. And said she wouldn’t take less “ they’d better pay me what I’m worth”.
All day long she was on her phone or writing “orders” on a piece of paper and sticking them to the lvns computers….. don’t forget the admissions, your patient fell,pharmacy called, patient needs changing or help
This isn’t isolated. Many of the rns I meet are new grads who are “managing” lvs with decades of experience. And they don’t do anything. When state shows up or a patient codes they disappear.
Or the other popular one is they have a full time at some hospital….keck, usc, Kaiser, etc. they pick up these shifts for extra money. But are tired and resent having to do any work
Now I’ve seen only 2 good rns in my entire 2 years of experience. Not long sure but it’s created a picture. They came in did rounds asked who needed help, helped with charting, talked to patients, handled calls, and helped in emergencies. But that is super rare.
I wish if rns were coming to work at a Snf they would do so without so much disdain. That they actually had experience and led instead of being utterly useless. It’s leads to a perception that may or may not be true

From last 2 years, I've been wanting skz to win a MAMA daesang (we all know why specifically MAMA because even if everyone says it's rigged, it's still asia's biggest award). Last to last year, I didn't expect them to win anyway because all the odds were in tannies' favour and bts is my ult so I wasn't really bummed at all. But last year, skz was so close to get the worldwide icon daesang and was lost by a mere margin but we still thought that they could win at the end because of another judge's criteria, they still didn't win and ive won SOTY daesang last year as well.
This year however, is there a chance of them winning ALOTY as their album sales are quite high and they also have nice streams on Spotify and comparatively doing okay on k-charts as well. I want them to win because we all know that since bts is on hiatus, the other 3rd-4th gen bgs have a chance i.e., skz and svt (as they count spotify streams as well), I am afraid that if they don't get it this year then it would be harder in coming years as well, new groups are nailing it on the other charts and we all know how quickly the newer groups could take over.

I'm a grown ass adult and I'm crying because I just discovered my old text RPG forum is gone, and no one, not even the closest members of my family can understand the hurt I'm feeling. It's the burning in the back of the throat, and the clenching of a part of your heart you didn't know was there, unless you've really lost something. I don't think I'll ever be again who I used to be, and now my only record of that last, dimly lit, long ago part is gone, like the memory of the haze of a summer afternoon when you were a kid. This forum was my last gasp before the plunge of depression and adulthood. I guess there's no coming up for air.
It's hard to put into words what this RPG forum meant to me.... I honed my writing and character development skills; I weathered a shitty college experience; I made my first real online friends. My only real online friends. I grew up on this forum. I tasted popularity for the first and only time, and I felt like I really could fulfill a dream of writing characters people were invested in. I recieved my first piece of fan art for a character. I learned how to diplomatically settle grievances, and lead without power going to my head. I learned what it felt like to be respected, even looked up to. I learned what it was like to be an adult when a younger friendcame to me for help with important life advice that they couldn't discuss with their parents. Now it's all gone.
I always wanted to go back and maybe archive as much of it as I could. I mean, I created or used early versions of characters there that are now the main characters of my novels. I left a part of me there so long ago; my young and hopeful self, that I wanted to rediscover. I wanted to find cringe, and laugh, and find hidden gems I didn't remember writing, and meet again those long lost characters that were written by my friends. And primarily, I wanted to reconnect with a handful of people that made life worth living back then. I want to know what became of them.... I've always wondered if they even remember me the way I remember them. I wonder if they moved on,, like I guess I never have. Another thing I learned there towards the end was that I was depressed, and it was that which made me pull away to begin with,, as my friends lives moved forward and money didn't. As I realized I had nothing new to say. They were all going off to college towards the end, and posting was becoming scarce. I think some of them had connected elsewhere by then, but I never did, and I regret it so much now.
My last message was asking them to private message me if they ever wandered through again, because I wanted to keep in touch, knowing full well that meeting place wouldn't last forever. This was years after the RPG had withered away, but the site was still kicking. Even then it was starting to get spammed by bots and no one was cleaning it up. But I never checked back in myself after last post. Every year I've thought about stopping back in, but it was one thing after another. I forgot my password. I lost the link after my old laptop died. I forgot the forum name.
Most of all, it was the feeling that I still had nothing new to say, and surely they would have changed and grown out of this silly old game, and maybe I was just pathetic to even be thinking about it so much. That I was pathetic for it meaning so much to me, and missing it so much still. Year after year I told myself, I need to get back there before it's too late, but it wasn't until tonight that randomly, utterly out of the blue, the forum name came back to me, and found my old log in info, and even a link in the backup of my old laptop. I clicked with an eagerness and apprehension I hadn't felt since I was refreshing that RPG back in the day when it was electric with drama and humor and OOC. Only to find a generic error page. A dry, uncaring placeholder for one of billion forgotten sites where lives once played out in all their naivety, creativity, and eager exploration of who we were.
It's honestly so heart-breaking, because for so many years I thought, yeah, I'll track that link down, figure out my log in, just to see if anyone came back and updated. Did that marriage work out? Did that trip to Korea go well? What have we all grown up to be? Now I'll never know what became of them. I'll never find them again.
I wanted to send them my novel when it's published, like I always said I would. I wanted to know if they recognized the traces of my main character from the RPG in my novel. I wanted to finally have something worth sharing, in all honesty, in all pride, in all maturation. If I am really honest with myself... I haven't actually had real friends since, and I'll always regret pulling away from them, even if it wasn't really in my control. Depression is a bitch like that. I'll always regret it, even if they wouldn't have wanted anything to do with me anymore nowadays anyway. Always. Even if it makes me pathetic. I doubt anyone will even see this much less read it, but that's probably for the better anyway.
Skiltch, Cheesy, Miss F, Dejanor..... I miss you guys. Maybe you'll come across my book someday and feel a little glimmer of something, a tiny trace of recognition you can't put your finger on. I guess, truthfully, it's an image in my mind I can hold onto, because I don't have anything else left.

Sexual abuse is a coercive act. It means that whenever a child is subjected to it, the abuser instills a kind of mentality that the victim deserved it. This kind of molding puts a child in a position where he has to blame himself for what happened. The mental and emotional torture the victims undergo while at the hands of the abuser shape a different kind of thinking and behavior that will surface years after the abuse took place. For instance, when the survivor is reminded of it, he then proceeds on blaming himself again - thinking that he deserved to be abuse because he was weak, careless, or whatever. The feeling of shame additionally contributes to the theme of secrecy. Because of the fear of getting embarrassed and not accepted by society, child sexual abuse victims elect to keep the suffering to themselves and not allow others to know about it. Because they failed in getting help from other people, they will likely suffer the painful memories all by themselves for the rest of their lives.
Furthermore, feeling shame leads to false pretensions and denial. By denying and not accepting what has really happened to them, victims try to take drastic measures just to hide the truth. For instance, a lot of survivors keep themselves busy and preoccupied with other things just to forget the suffering they have within them. However, this kind of technique is really not a form of healing or recovery. Instead, it is a way of turning their backs on reality. By the time victims realize that what they're doing is really not dealing with the trauma, they will likely resort to other radical steps to at least temporarily erase the painful memories. In the end, the feeling of blame and shame will never help in the recovery and healing process of child sexual abuse victims. The only thing that it does is put them in isolation. Instead of getting help, allowing oneself to be consumed by shame will just result to a bleak and dark future ahead.

I'm from a third world country (brownie points for guessing which one) and I'm all set to move to the US to matriculate at a T15. I've been having conversations with other admits who are also moving to the US this fall, and the common theme is this: the US is a pain in the ass to live in, especially for non-residents.
First, everything is wildly expensive. Assuming not everyone makes a post-MBA salary, rents are insanely expensive for the quality of the houses/apartments. So is a doctor's visit or purchasing a quick antibiotic or inhaler. Heck, calling an ambulance apparently sets you back by the low thousands. Here at home, you can walk into a doctor's office, get a prescription, and purchase all the meds you want (provided they're safe) and it would barely affect your wallet. I'm afraid of playing basketball once I move to the US out of fear of cracking a bone or getting a cut that will bankrupt me.
Next, for a 'developed' country, the US has a funny way of making you feel unsafe. Virtually everyone has told me to not stay out late at nights, or take train/bus at odd hours. I've been to France/Germany/UK and I as a woman felt very safe taking public transportation late at night, alone. I'm not even going to bring up racism because every country has racism. Plus, guns! In no other country in the world can you actually grumble to your parents back home 'I hope I don't get shot....'
Also, American laws are just insane. The US acts like the bastion of freedom of the world. And it projects 'Freedom' as the right to free speech and carrying deadly weapons. What about the freedom of your people and their bodies? My friends who will be starting at McCombs/Duke/UNC are appalled by the abortion laws there. I don't know how casual dating even works in the southern pro-lifer states if you can't count on an abortion after an accidental pregnancy.
Before I am destroyed by comments: Yes, I chose to attend a US program. Yes, I failed to look into the finer details of life stateside before I got enamored by the American MBA. I'm sure some of y'all will say 'nobody is forcing you to come'. And nobody is. But I'll say it again: For a developed country and a global superpower that projects democracy and freedom across the globe, the US does a bad job of making immigrants feel secure in their own skin. Land of the free and home of the brave indeed...
I'm afraid of moving to the USA, and I've come too damn far to pull out now.

As one of, if not THE most popular film franchise that's not part of a Superhero Universe, John Wick has been a central force in the name of Action Cinema since the first movie. An original, powerhouse universe of nigh unstoppable assassins, militarized Crime Families that have practically overtaken all systems of governments and public life centralized around their shadowy cabal of Marquis and High Table officials, centralized "sanctified" grounds for them to conduct their business and far more.
But what I'm theorizing is that this story of bloody revenge, underworld dealings and criminal carnage between cartels is NOT set in its own universe. Instead, I'm proposing that the film is set in ANOTHER universe of criminal dealings where centralized gangs fight both each other AND different factions of Mafia families for ground and access to the same avenues of finance and power they control.
So let me just get straight into it...
WHAT IF JOHN WICK IS SET IN THE SAME UNIVERSE AS 1979's THE WARRIORS?
Now, this theory automatically excludes the original novel from 1965, as the film is essentially "in name only" when you compare the two. This also isn't taking into account the spinoff material both properties have, including comic books.
But when you look at both The Warriors and John Wick closely, you start noticing some rather interesting similarities that end up going just past the mark of "nods" to other bits of Cult Cinema.
The first thing you have to look at is overall atmosphere, because both are dripping with Comic Book style environments and characterization. From the beginning of The Warriors, we see the gangs slowly gathering together for the event being hosted by the enigmatic leader of The Grammercy Riffs, Cyrus. Cyrus speaks in bombastic quotes, providing almost Shakespearean quotations as if he's Henry V proceeding to muster the spirits and convince the collection of colorful characters that proliferate each gang - The Warriors, The Furies, The Rogues, The Punks, The VC Rangers, The Electric Eliminators and so on - that are constantly fighting over "turf" and keeping each other from unifying against both the Police AND (in a very interesting detail) the varying Crime Families that have control over everything they live under. And in a weird way, the John Wick franchise has a SIMILAR character who speaks to the "lower common denominator" of criminal life - The Bowery King, who essentially leads all the "street level" gangs of the setting, who stands against what the Families have done, and stands as an untouchable figure when it comes to the areas that the Families have no power over.
The second thing we must look at is genre, which will be the simplest to explain - while John Wick has the additional tag of "Neo-Noir", BOTH properties share the Action Thriller moniker. Both films center on characters fighting for survival, coming across an assortment of interesting characters with unique style and ways they fight. Arguably the weakest element to the theory, but it has to be stated none-the-less.
Third is story elements. In the JW franchise, it's very interesting to see that while assassins and trained killers duke it out in public arenas, you notice that pedestrians and civilians seem to be utterly unphased by the battles happening around them. This makes it seem that such violence has become commonplace, almost like they have been trained in their daily lives to expect it to happen at any given moment. In fact, it seems like the Families of the High Table actively prepare people for such occasions, emptying out places when they can. Part 4 is probably the most egregious example of this, as entire apartment buildings are surrounded by signs of life and whatnot, but then a battle happens and every living space is unoccupied.
In direct comparison, The Warriors takes place in New York City in the late 70's. A bustling city that is known as THE nightlife center at the time. But then you look at how desolate the streets seem to be, how empty a lot of buildings happen to be, and it becomes a little unsettling. Like someone knew the Police raid at the Gathering of the gangs at beginning of the film would cause those who escaped to scurry away, leaving them exposed to getting jumped. The Warriors, in particular, are the victims of this as the Grammercy Riffs put out the call that they are to be taken out. In the language of John Wick's universe, they have been made excommunicado with the added bonus of a bounty being put on their heads.
Now, for probably the most obvious bit that ties The Warriors to John Wick... THE DJ. This is the piece that really cemented this idea in my head. In both The Warriors and John Wick part 4, a radio DJ is used to put out the hit in coded language. Both with sultry voices. Both using the exact same code phrases. Both using the EXACT SAME SONG, although covered by two different artists - this being NOWHERE TO RUN by Martha Reeves And The Vandellas. If you take this into account, it's more than a coincidence.
So, what does this all imply?
The High Table was behind the hit on Cyrus, who was a legitimate threat to their plans. Promising The Rogues exactly what each gang has been looking for to foment chaos, allowing the brutality of the police (who we see have been in the pockets of the High Table since the first film) to come in and dismantle a vast majority of New York's street level crime that had been a thorn in their sides. An extremely plausible tactic - using someone on the inside to cause damage and then using crushing force (which they are overly fond of using, given the scores of bodies and broken people in the various fight scenes) to finally supplant their power over the gangs. But what they didn't expect was for the gangs to go underground, as a new leader stepped up to unite them all under one banner.
The banner of the Bowery King. An outside force that, in the forty years since The Warriors aired, brokered a truce with the High Table. Negotiating some of the gangs' tactics and knowledge and collective strength in exchange for the freedom to act as free agents, all under the purview of the High Table and the criminal families that sit at it.
Is this theory perfect? No. Does this theory rely on coincidences? You could make that argument. But once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, and anything three times or more is a pattern. And when there's a pattern, there's nowhere to hide.
Also, a coincidence involving both The Warriors and John Wick? The upcoming series centering on The Continental in New York City that's dropping in September of 2023 is oddly timed to fit within the limits of both The Warriors AND John Wick timelines.

TLDR - Really good quality Good Year Welted boot would highly recommend, especially if you are Canadian its an under $300 boot (full price from Gravity Pope).

Forgive me if I make mistakes this is my first ever Leather boot so I am still learning.
Ok, I wore these boots regularly (4 to 5 days a week) from September 2022 to February 2023 and now because of summer occasionally. I got these from Gravity Pope for $275 and as soon as I got it, I thoroughly applied Atsko Sno-Seal on it as I was gonna wear them in Raincouver during the Monsoon and Winter. And boy these were good.
I wish I had taken more pictures of these when I got them but I didn't, anyways, here are some. This boot comes in two different colours Black and Brown. But the brown has two shades, one lighter brown and mine is the darker brown. It's just because of the variation in the leather itself that what I was told.
There was almost no break in period because these only come in EE width so plenty of room for pinky fingers and just were really comfortable (get correct size though as they ruin according to the Brannock device). I had no sore spots or anything, just felt nice and now they fit like a glove.
There was not a single drop of water in the boots even when it was soaked from the outside, although I would say I took care of them. I would just wipe the dirt, salt, water etc,. as soon as I got home or basically inside. Although my feet got cold, like really cold, make sure to wear thick socks with these.
But yeah I used them thoroughly as you can see from the pictures, this is the first time I was going to do anything to the boot or than the Sno-Seal when I got them. Here is the boot before doing anything, I started with wiping and brushing the dirt off then, I used some Fiebing saddle soap, here is after soaping. Then I used some of this from Reddhart workwear and it replenished quite a bit of colour back then some Venetian Shoe Cream and it is pretty much brand new. Here is the boot after everything.
I could not decide between the Cotton laces that came with or the leather ones let me which one you like.

Hi everyone, I hope this is the right sub. You seem very supportive and any advice/opinion would be very appreciated.
I’m 28F and I’ve only been with men. I can count on one hand all the crushes/loves I had, and I always ended up interested in someone much later on. I have a high sex drive, but only towards someone I love.

I have naturally wavy hair mixed from 2a to 3a. I also have very dense hair, the single strands are fine but there is a LOT of it so my hair looks like what my hairdresser calls 'woow so much hair'.
It's currently a bit over shoulder length wit layers up to my chin to take off weight. Since it's so much hair it looks pretty heavy anyway.
My main problem is that my hair always falls forward over my shoulders so I end up looking like either having a lions mane (on good days) or floppy poodle ears (on bad days) and looking even heavier This has been true for any length I had.
So I always end up pushing my hair behind my ears but I don't really like that look tbh.
I have a slim diamond shape face and I don't want it looking any more slim than it does by itself. It looks nice in a ponytail but since it's so heavy I get a headache when wearing one all day.
I've read in a comment that shorter hair pulls longer hair. Could I benefit from having shorter layers in the back than on the front?
I really want to achieve a little less 'drowning in heavy hair' for my face and would be thankful for any tips!

Over the past two years, I've been tracking my extended high frequency thresholds using calibrated audio gear at home. I've noticed two things:
1) Despite being in my twenties, my maximum audible frequency is about 14kHz in both ears. I understand EHFs are extremely variable by individual, but for my age this still has me concerned.
2) Throughout my 2-year tracking, I've noticed unpredictable fluctuations in my top-end EHF thresholds, despite testing regularly and obtaining consistent baselines. I will often check after being in a setting of loud noise, and the thresholds will be similar to baseline, yet one random evening I'll test and 14kHz in one ear will be down 10db or more. I understand this is within test-retest, but this loss at the top end of my hearing is consistent if I test multiple times a day or over a given week, and immediate lower EHFs remain similar to baseline. I've not been able to find if this is normal in other individuals, and I am left curious.
This week, I had another 10db drop in my right ear at 14kHz with no explanation. Just to experiment, my neurotologist and I decided to try 30mg of Prednisone, but the hearing did not return. I imagine I am close to losing this frequency.
I have two questions:
1) What do you make of these EHF fluctuations, given they are always only at the highest frequency I can hear? My leading guess would be noise-induced hearing loss, but the spontaneous drops and occasional jumps back up have me second guessing.
2) Given I am young, I want to be vigilant of how this hearing loss may progress, but the spontaneous fluctuations have me and my neurotologist puzzled. I want to be realistic but need to understand better: How steadily would the hearing decline? As the hair cells are arranged tonotopically, would you expect the decline to slow as it makes its way to 13kHz, 12kHz, etc? I would love an in-depth explanation on the behavior and rate in which hearing loss (primarily from noise exposure or presbycusis) works its way through the cochlea.

Back when BMSS was first announced however many years ago, it was honestly shocking. of course i was excited for the nostalgia and just seeing their personalities back together in a way.
however, this was around the same time kendall and kalani were both involved in a little backlash and scandal for “coming out” as trump supporters, which goes directly against a lot of what holly, melissa, nia, maddie, and kenzie stand for.
as a member of many marginalized communities as a black, lgbtq+, woman here in america, that was very disappointing for me. around this time a lot of the blm protests were happening as well and police brutality was happening every other day, so for them to support someone who doesn’t care about any of those communities was a let down.
i’m not sure what i was expecting, but i feel that during the show holly always stood up for what she believed was right and wrong, and spoke up about racial issues more towards the later portion of the show, and both nia, holly, melissa, and her daughters all publicly supported the BLM movement during this time. I’m not sure if I was shocked, but for some reason I was a little disappointed that holly and melissa sort of just ‘skipped over it’ like it was nothing.
and lastly, i just want to add that i understand everyone is entitled to their political views and standpoints. it was never a democrat vs a republican thing, or else a lot of people would’ve never been on dance moms, i think because it was trump specifically, a known misogynist, homophobic, r*pist, and all around terrible person, it was an actual issue and question of morality from me and a lot of other black viewers at the time.

I've been "promoted" to movies editor at an unpaid internship. I thought I could handle doing the internship alongside my part time job and class based on the initial phone call. So, I accepted the position. However, after training, I found that this would be pretty overwhelming, that, and I don't like the supervisoboss.
They just sent out an email that I'd be taking over the position, but I don't want to do it anymore. Is it okay if I just email them and say that I changed my mind even though I spent all that time in training? I feel like I just wasted their time.
But it's a whole lot of work that would demand about 25 hours a week from me, and won't pay me or offer any other benefits besides experience.
What should I do here?

As the title said, while normally using it, out of nowhere the laptop display lost image and now it won't output anything at all on the laptop display.
At first, it won't event detect the display at all but after doing a clean windows install and even downgrading the BIOS to the only previous version I found (59WW instead of 60WW) it now's detect something but appears as a "Generic Monitor" on device manager and says it's a 1024p monitor at 144hz which does make any sense and even then it still won't display anything.
My warranty ran out 2 months ago and I'm from Costa Rica.
Is there anything I can do about this? I saw 2 other post exactly the same as the issue I'm having so I'm unsure if its a hardware issue.

I will always have that without fail if not more. I feel like I need them though which is the scary part. It used to be more until I met my girlfriend and I dialled back a bit. I can’t say no to one and as soon as the idea enters my head to have one I can’t shake it off. I know it could be worse but I feel like I’m in dangerous territory. I am already in the obese category for bmi. My eating habits outside of this aren’t perfect either. I eat a lot of refined carbs and sugar (I adopted that from my girlfriend). But I do eat plenty of fruit and veg. I try to eat wholemeal where I can. I have been trying to do haes/intuitive eating but I initially put on some more weight. It’s still there but seems to be stable for now. I don’t really know if this is the right path I should be taking but since doing that all my motivation for weight loss has gone out the window. I think I have picked up some healthy habits but I’ve also picked up some not so healthy habits. Apart from being fat does it sound like I have a problem? I always feel like shit the next day after having takeaway especially pizza. I am kind of ashamed about it and don’t like admitting it to people. Even if I have no money I will seek out getting a takeaway. Is this common? I feel so stupid to have an addiction which first of all isn’t even a specific substance and it’s not like it has a lot of addictive properties. I don’t know if maybe i have BED. Everyone I eat with tells me I eat very quickly. I can eat a lot too. What do you think?
