I had just started a new job and was in a training class with this woman. I was 30 but had been in school for ages so was a bit naive and this woman wasn’t much older than me but had 3 or 4 kids (sorry memory is going.)
I started a friendship with her and we were hanging out on breaks. She’s telling me all these crazy stories about her time as an army wife, her youth in Utah, being removed from her parents, foster care, all this stuff.
Now i don’t think much of this because I had a rough childhood and went to school with some sisters that had it even worse so nothing she said really tripped my senses. My Dad had crazy stories from his youth as well and though. He exaggerates a bit they are true.
So all this stuff keeps happening to her. Her husband kicks her out, lets her back in, she gets involved in a cult and is trying to break away, this guy from the cult is stalking her, she has seizures at work and has to leave in an ambulance a couple times, turns out she’s involved in this court case because this serial rapist was caught and she’s testifying against him because she was a victim too. Finally she has one more seizure at work and she’s eyeballing me like a kid looking to see if Mommy is watching his tantrum while everyone gawks and I just say to myself “she’s faking it.” She’s completely faking it. I was a long time babysitter and she looks like a kid faking a serious emotional outburst to a parent trying to get off easy for something.
Then one day i go to her house and another friend is helping her clean it and i find out he’s her Ex. They guy doesn’t even say any more than that. She told us he was going to throw her out because she was slacking as the wife and not doing the chores.
Then a few weeks later she’s on leave for falling down the stairs.
And this point I’m feeling things are completely Sus. It’s just too many crazy stories, I’ve been having anxiety attacks worrying about her and her kids safety so i get this wild hair to look her up on the internet.
This is 2000 a few people have AOL but not many people are familiar with the internet. Now the internet was really different back then, most of it was academic info being shared. All of the major universities shared papers online and many of the science journals and some news outlets. Especially The Salt Lake Tribune. I do a search on her because after all the crazy stuff she’s said, maybe there’s something on her?
And Jackpot! She lied about being assaulted and got this guy put in jail. Hed just been freed a year or so prior and they had a big article. Had to pay a fee to get the whole thing but yeah.
She’s a pathological liar and has spent her entire adulthood lying about everything. I print out the article and give it to the other coworker and she’s blown away and pissed beyond belief.
Honest coworker gives HR a copy of the article because Liar said she injured her shoulder falling down the stairs, same injury she claims she “received” in both assault cases.
The fallout
My employer gives the liar, a settlement of a small amount of money. I heard less than $5000 if she will quit, drop her case against them for the shoulder injury, and never be heard from again. My other coworker found out that she had injured her shoulder as a kid and it was a lifetime injury. Her husband had divorced her because she was a liar, and she had an affair, and had an affair baby while they were married. He got custody of that child during the divorce. She asked to move in with him and the kids, doing the house work in return for rent. She wasn’t ever holding up her end of the bargain. He didn’t really want to do it but he wanted the kids to be able to see her because they missed her. He never told us anything because he figured we would not believe him after all the lies she had said. Turns out the “cult” people were just a nice small church group and she had lied to them that all of us were using and abusing her and they were trying to rescue her from us while we thought we were trying to rescue her from them.
I ended up telling her I never wanted to see her again, and I never heard another thing about her ever again Now her name is too common and I haven’t had any luck finding any more internet dirt on her.
So that was the craziest coworker I’ve ever had. I’ll have a crazy roommate story for you when i feel up to typing that out.

No experience necessary for the laborer custodial or maintenance mechanic positions. It helps on the interview but you can surely think of maintenance related experience to relay for an interview. Based on fixing things around your house, the car etc. Always mention working safely.
Pro tip: You can apply for any job that has an exam opening and the test is administered local to yourself. Make sure you're serious and score decently; you can turn down the job offer. Keep a physical copy of your exam score, I believe they are good for two years.
The reason is: These job postings can be posted externally at capacity for testing, meaning they will not allow you to take the exam if they have enough qualified applicants. However, if you have a test score on the books, you are a qualified applicant.

No experience necessary for the laborer custodial or maintenance mechanic positions. It helps on the interview but you can surely think of maintenance related experience to relay for an interview. Based on fixing things around your house, the car etc. Always mention working safely.
Pro tip: You can apply for any job that has an exam opening and the test is administered local to yourself. Make sure you're serious and score decently; you can turn down the job offer. Keep a physical copy of your exam score, I believe they are good for two years.
The reason is: These job postings can be posted externally at capacity for testing, meaning they will not allow you to take the exam if they have enough qualified applicants. However, if you have a test score on the books, you are a qualified applicant.
Explanation of MVO/TTO to save time:
MVO= CDL B Can only drive box trucks on public roads, can drive anything for moves on postal property.
TTO= CDL A Can drive anything.
USPS provides the training. (Maintenance jobs at least. TTO and management...GOOD LUCK)
You don't have to be crazy to work here. We'll train you. Everything but proper email usage.

After a night partying with another couple from his hotel, he was discovered the next morning beaten and stabbed 17 times with a ballpoint pen. Who killed Ken Avvenire, and why?
In 1978, twenty five year old Ken Avvenire was considering making a big, cross-country move. He resided in Brooklyn, New York, and worked as a printer for a prominent printing company- but, his parent’s were making a move to sunny Scottsdale, Arizona, and Ken wanted to follow. Wanting to make sure he would have a stable job and income before making the move, Ken had flown to Arizona in August of 1978, in order to conduct an interview with a printing company in the valley. Sadly, Ken would never get the chance to move to Scottsdale or start that new job, but, instead, would become the victim of one of three murders in Scottsdale that year- the other two being Patty Kerger, and most famously, Bob Crane.
Ken arrived in Scottsdale, Arizona, and checked into the Sunburst Hotel (now known as The Scott Resort & Spa) located at 4925 N. Scottsdale Road, where he was assigned to room 207. Roughly around the same time, a couple in their mid-twenties named Richard and Janet Stingley were also checking into the hotel, assigned to room 233- just down the hall from Ken. Janet and Richard were both former ASU students, and were residing in Manhattan Beach, California. It is unknown how the couple and Ken became acquainted, but at some point, they had met and began to hang out with one another during the duration of their stay.
On the evening of August 25, Ken, an openly gay man, was seen at a gay bar named the Talk of the Town Lounge in Phoenix. The doorman of the lounge, Cale Morgano, stated that he remembered seeing Ken sitting at the bar for roughly an hour, with a male and female couple. Cale stated that the couple resembled Janet and Richard Stingley, and that they both had entered the club using California state issued identifications. After an hour, Ken and the woman, presumed to be Janet, left the bar together, and the man, presumed to be Richard, left soon after them. Later, in the early morning hours of August 26, Ken was seen at a different bar, the Hisco Disco, located at 3839 N. 16th Street, in Phoenix. A witness at the bar had stated to authorities that they had seen Ken dancing with someone who had matched the description of Richard Stingley- a 6 foot, white, blonde man. Any other interactions at the Hisco Disco, including when Ken left and with who, have never been stated or released to the public.
In the afternoon of August 26, 1978, Ken Avvenire was discovered deceased in room 207 of the Sunburst hotel. He had been beaten over the head with a lamp, and then stabbed 17 times in the chest with a ballpoint pen. When spoken to, guests in adjoining rooms had claimed they heard nothing out of the ordinary- no commotion or yelling coming from room 207. When investigators heard that Ken was last seen with a couple that matched the description of the Stingleys, they searched room 233, as well. They had discovered a small speck of blood in the bathroom, which was later to be determined as type O blood- neither of the Stingley’s had type O blood. On top of that, previous residents of room 233 were spoken to by police, and the most recent occupant had stated that the speck of blood had not been there during her visit, nor had she been injured in any way during her stay. Sadly, the blood samples from the crime scene as well as the blood sample from room 233 were never kept as evidence, despite them being able to possibly render a DNA profile today. One month later, on September 23, 1978, Ken’s rental car was discovered by a police officer at an apartment complex in Phoenix. The officer had lived at the apartment complex and had noted that the car hadn’t moved for the entire month, and called it in as suspicious.
Detectives had gone to Manhattan Beach to reinterview the Stingley’s, after the murder of Ken Avvenire, and when first spoken to, Janet and Richard had inquired if it was in relation to the murder of Bob Crane. They were informed it was not. Sadly, the murder of Ken Avvenire has never been solved, despite some decently obvious suspects, and it has since grown cold. John Kirkman of the Scottsdale cold case unit was assigned the case, along with 7 others, and has stated that he “hasn’t even looked at it,” yet.
