My partner of 6 years was fit and gorgeous when I met him and I didn't mind 4 years later when he got up to 300 as he's 6 foot 7. But ever since he started a new job he's been lying about everything especially food. He told me he was taking lunches and that sometimes someone would buy him tacos or Subway or he would buy sometimes and also he always told me he ate lunch at the job so I assumed this was true but then after a few months he's getting very big I would guess he's around 380 if not 400 and I kept asking if he's been eating a lot of fast food and he lies and says he ate what he brought and he was so hungry!! He would also eat dinner I made and every hour be eating sandwiches, burritos etc. But I trusted him and today his boss sends a group message that says "When you guys get back from Lunch Yada yada" so I texted my husband and I said Where are you eating lunch and I got a reply "Just leaving the Cactus bar." He thought I was his boss as his boss was also texting so he hurriedly replied "I mean Subway, we went to Subway and are passing the bar on the way home." So I ask my oldest son and he said that my man told him they had good food at the Cactus bar. So I found out he's going to this bar for lunch with his work buddy and I decided to dig in the car and found 5 crumpled up donut shop bags, receipts for John's Place, this Mexican food place he got a Godzilla burrito and he's also buying food for that guy sometimes. He came clean and told me him and his work buddy's eat out all the time and basically if I didn't like it there's the door. This man hasn't taken me on a date in months, has never even went to a bar with me, doesn't even go to bars but he's suddenly going to get Wings at some seedy hole in the wall? He never eats wings! He doesn't even order wings when we get pizza. Also would like to mention that he's bi and the guy he's eating out with all the time is a guy he worked with 2 years ago that created drama in our relationship and my man had a crush on! I believe that's why he's lying about these 30 minute lunches he's having with that guy. But even if nothing is going on with them why am I being lied to?? I stay at home with no car, no friends or family where I live, I never get out of the house and he's stuffing his face all day while I'm here cleaning and cooking his favorite meals for my "hungry husband" to come enjoy? I'm really hurt especially by the bar thing. He isn't a drinker and for 6 years we never stepped into a bar. I don't know what to think of these lies. The lies hurt more than anything.

For some background: My parents have 3 kids. Maya (29f), Me (28m) and Sally (26f). The problem is Sally. When she was born she had some form of medical condition which led doctors to believe that she won't survive at all. But my parents never gave up. They spent money and time for her treatment and miracle happened. Since then they have coddled Sally to death. Sally always had to have good things. I mostly got my sister's hand me downs. Which I didn't mind but it sucks that I was the forever neglected middle child. But my sister Maya took most of it. Maya was the oldest and the scapegoat. For some weird reasons Sally was always in competition with Maya and I am sure my parents also pitted them against each other too. Maya was always supposed to behave and never complain. While Sally was a brat. If Maya had a dollhouse, Sally had a bigger dollhouse. If Maya did something good my parents would just say "good job" and go on about their life. But if Sally even won a participation trophy they would basically throw a party. Since then Maya has been walking on eggshells around my parents. She would always be grounded and we cannot even complain that Sally has been bullying us because she is a "special child"
Sally was also awful towards me. She would often abuse me and even steal my stuff and my parents won't do anything. And like I mentioned Sally was always in competition with Maya. If Maya wanted to participate in music, she would too. I remember Maya saying in high school that she has a crush. What does Sally do? Make out with that crush in front of Maya. My parents didn't even save enough for college for either of us but luckily for Maya, she got on scholarship. I had to take out a loan. The last straw for Maya was when she was dating this guy in college. She brought him home when they were on vacation. She caught Sally and him having sex in the basement. It was a shit storm. My parents did berate Sally but after few days they were like "Eh what happened just happened. It will be wrong to separate these love birds." That was it for Maya. She screamed at them that she has endured their abuse for all these years but not anymore. She cut off contact. There was a lot of tension. Some of my uncle an aunt were divided. Sally was just as shameless as she was and went on to date Maya's ex. Maya eventually got over it and met a nice guy and got married. She did invite our parents but not Sally. My parents didn't go but I did. Now she is currently pregnant with her first child. My parents reached out to her and although Maya was skeptical she agreed to reconcile.
So, our family has this big dinner once a year at there place where all the relatives and cousins are invited. Maya came along with her husband, Adam. Sally was also there with her husband (Maya's ex). Throughout the evening I noticed Sally tried to be closer to Adam. But he would just shove her off. When it was time for dinner. My parents made a toast. Then Sally stood up and said that she was so lucky to be here and that she almost died when she was young (barf). She then redirected to Maya and said "Sis I know it must be hard for you because your ex is now my husband but thanks for the blessing. I know it must be hard for you to be here knowing how hard it was for you to compete with me but I applaud your bravery." This was the moment Adam stood up and shouted at Sally. Saying how dare she insult his wife. who the fuck does she think she is. Then the word vomit started. I am just paraphrasing it. "You think you are so special because you were a miracle baby. Guess what I was a miracle baby too but I don't bitch about it like you do. You are such a pathetic woman that the only achievement in your life you have is something that was accidental. what else do you have to show for? Everything you have was basically borrowed from my wife, even your pathetic husband who spent the entire evening hitting every female cousin in this room. You are so annoying even your husband doesn't like you. You know what the truth is? You have nothing and you are nothing. You are so shameless and pathetic that you tried to hit on me. You already got her ex and now you want her husband. I would rather die than be with a woman like you whose personality is worth of a paper bag. You have always been jealous of my wife because you always knew you would never be as amazing as she is. That's you stole from her because that's the only way you could have what she has."
There was more but it was so brutal that Sally was in tears. My parents and relatives were shocked. My parents told Maya "well aren't you going to do anything" Maya said no and left with her husband. Honestly, even my cousins were silent. I knew no one liked Sally. I on the other hand was laughing behind my wine glass. My mom noticed and said I am an asshole for laughing at my sister's misery. It has been over a week when this happened. The video of Adam's rant was circulating on our cousin GC. I still laugh at it. I have been LC with them ever since. But they are getting a lot of shit for Sally. so am I the asshole?

mansoor adayfi: As you know, Guantánamo was created out of the legal zone, out of the legal system. Torture was the mechanism of Guantánamo. Torture, abuse, and experimenting on prisoners. We went on a massive hunger strike in 2005. And there was force-feeding. It was torture.
I saw a fucking handsome person come in and he said, “I’m here to ensure that you are treated humanely.”
mike prysner: It was Ron DeSantis?*
adayfi: Yes. And, “If you have any problems, if you have any concerns, just talk to me.” We were drowning in that place. So I was like, “Oh, this is cool. This person will raise the concerns.” But it was a piece of the game. What they were doing was looking for what hurts us more so they could use it against us. In 2006, when DeSantis was there, it was one of the worst times at Guantánamo. The administration, the guards, all of them were the worst. They cracked down on us so hard. When they came to break our hunger strike, a team came to us. The head of the team, he was a general. He said, “I have a job. I was sent here to break your fucking hunger strike. I don’t care why you are here. I don’t care who you are. My job is to make you eat. Today we are talking. Tomorrow there will be no talking.” The second day, they brought piles of Ensure and they started force-feeding us over and over again.
prysner: For those who don’t know, Ensure is a thick milky nutritional shake mainly marketed on daytime television to elderly people. It is very hard to drink.
adayfi: Yes, and Ron DeSantis was there watching us. We were crying, screaming. We were tied to the feeding chair. And he was watching. He was laughing. Our stomachs could not hold this amount of Ensure. They poured one can after another. So when he approached me, I said, “This is the way we are treated!” He said, “You should eat.” I threw up in his face. Literally on his face.
prysner: Ron DeSantis?
adayfi: In his face. Yeah.
prysner: It was well deserved. A JAG lawyer at the time, he would have been well aware this was a violation of international law. There is no question that it was torture.
adayfi: They used to restrain us in that feeding chair. They tied our head, our shoulders, our wrists, our thighs, and our legs. They put some kind of laxative in the feeding liquid. We were shitting ourselves all the time. Then we were moved to solitary confinement—really cold cells. It was like five times a day. It wasn’t feeding. It was just torture. Five times a day. You can’t possibly handle it. They just kept pouring the Ensure. In one week, they broke all the hunger strikers. And he was there. All of them were watching. They also used to beat us. And if we screamed or were bleeding out of our nose and mouth, they were like, “Eat.” The only word they told you was “eat.” We were beaten all day long. Whatever you were doing—they just beat you. Pepper spray, beating, sleep deprivation. That continued for three months. And he was there. He was one of the people that supervised the torture, the abuses, the beatings. All the time at Guantánamo.
prysner: So Ron DeSantis was actually supervising torture, beatings? He was supervising these force-feedings?
adayfi: I’m telling Americans: this guy is a torturer. He is a criminal. He was laughing. And he was there to ensure we were treated humanely.
prysner: He was laughing?
adayfi: Yes, they were looking at us, laughing because we were shitting ourselves. I was screaming and yelling. When your stomach is full of Ensure you can’t breathe. And you are throwing up at the same time. I was screaming. I looked at him and he was actually smiling. Like someone who was enjoying it.
One of the things that hurt us was, you know, when someone comes and tells you, “I’m here to help you, I’m here to ensure that you are treated humanely,” and when he turned against us—not turned against us, showed his true face—it was a shock to us all. He had his notebook. He would ask the prisoners, “Do you have any problems? How can I help you? How have the guards treated you?” I was like, “Wow, thanks!” But everything we told him was turned against us.
prysner: So he basically was gathering intelligence to tell the interrogators what it was that was impacting you most so they could do it more.
adayfi: I remember when we were talking about the noise in the night. We were talking about the vacuums, the generators, the fans, and everything. And they brought more stuff.
prysner: You told DeSantis this and then they increased the noise?
adayfi: They increased the noise. And also the food, for example. We told him we don’t eat meat. What the guards did after that is they mixed all the food with meat.
prysner: And that’s another thing you told DeSantis?
adayfi: It’s not just that. Medicine. Clothing. Treatment. Sleeping. The desecration of the Qur’an. Everything. We talked to him. When they were force-feeding us, he was smiling. Looking at us as trash.
prysner: You told me there was a resistance tactic there, of splashing administrators? Splashing them with your own feces? But you didn’t use this tactic often?
adayfi: Only the worst of the worst got splashed.
prysner: DeSantis?
adayfi: Yes.

These ships were given to me by Wargaming for review.
Welcome back. Sure, it does seem rather apt to jump into the first published review in sometime with the addition of two new Baltimores…well, one Oregon-City Cruiser, and another Baltimore. With both ships being so closely related, it seems fitting to tag them both together here. Per the norm, there will be lots of pretty charts, and a comprehensive breakdown of both ships; with the added benefit of showing exactly where these two wrap up into the bigger picture.
All stats are current to the best of my knowledge as of v5.1. Stats are subject to change in the future, and this review may not reflect those changes.
Celtic is a GREAT ship, with a MODERATE Skill Floor and a HIGH Skill Ceiling.
Rochester is an AVERAGE ship, with a LOW Skill Floor and a MODERATE Skill Ceiling.
Quite obviously, this review is going to be mostly centered on Celtic, with some Rochester slapped in there to show exactly how she stacks up to the competition. 2 for 1, or a freebie, you decide.

History

The design was first commissioned in the late 1930's, which adapted lessons learned from the preceding Wichita-Class and the currently under construction, lighter Cleveland Class. Baltimore's design featured an orthodox A-B-X configuration of 3 triple turrets of (8") 203mm guns. Fast and well-armed for the era, the fate of the project ended by cancelling later ships construction in favor of the Cleveland Class which were both faster, lighter, and quicker to build which meant more ships out at sea protecting US Navy Carriers. Baltimore Class Cruisers were built from 1941-1945 with some serving in various sub-classes until the 1970's.
With 14 completed ships of the class, the Baltimore-Class had the most constructed heavy cruisers built of any one class from nation during the war-time period. Generally considered a success, the class was preceded by the USS Wichita, and succeeded by the Oregon-City Class. With attached sub-classes, the Boston Class featuring the world's first Guided Missile Cruiser in the early 1950's USS Boston (CAG-1) and Flagship variations. The design was most notable for incorporation of surveillance radar, gun control fire systems which allowed for calculation beyond the horizon, 5'' Anti-Air, and 8'' Main Battery. This design was focused in on the ships ability to be a Carrier Fleet Escort Ship, capable of both Anti-Air Screening, Shore Bombardment, eventually being modified to serve as the world's first guided missile cruiser.
USS Baltimore (CA-68) herself was laid down in 1941, by Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corporation at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy, Massachusetts. The ship was launched in 1942 and served until 1956 when she was decommissioned, and eventually scrapped in 1971. The ship served primarily in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, earning 9 battle stars.
HMS Celtic is a made-up ship that never actually existed but rests on the concept that would have been if the Baltimore Class had been sent to the Royal Navy. This was not an entirely foreign concept of the era either, with the two allied nations cooperating heavily with some ships being used by the other’s navy. It would be this cooperation that ultimately played a decisive role in every major theatre of World War 2.
USS Rochester (CA-124) was laid down in the same shipyard as her predecessor, in May 1944. She would be launched in August the following year, then commissioned into the US Navy in 1946. Succeeding the Baltimore Class, the Oregon City Class featured many similarities, with changes to her exhaust, superstructure and Anti-Air Suite. Rochester would serve throughout Korea and Vietnam, being decommissioned in the 1960s, and scrapped in the 1970s. 10 Oregon City Cruisers were planned, with only 4 completed.

The Basics

A Baltimore with a Super Heal and longer-range radar? Sign me up. Baltimore on her own is already one of the stronger ships in the game and in terms of utility, one of the stronger team players. Celtic takes an interesting concept and adds a new flair to an older line. She has her own strengths and weaknesses, all of which will be identified, some of which are likely to be seemingly splitting the finest of hairs. This ship has a bit less of a grudge against controlling caps than the traditional Baltimore but should be readily found in the same niche doing the same things, just slightly different. Radar support, anti-destroyer, area control are all tags that apply. Celtic is strong, strong enough to be thrown in with the likes of AL Baltimore, Mainz CE and Wichita CE.
Trashchester is tough. I’ll honestly do my best to not shred this ship into a bajillion pieces while pouring out the salt, but I’m only human. She was painful on release, and since she’s had work done, fitting for her review to be finally finished and published for you all to use as a dash of seasoning for dinner. On release, Rochester had a smoke fire concealment on par with her sister’s base concealment, meaning, her smoke was essentially pointless and served only to blind herself, and not her opponents. Lacking radar, Rochester presented as a clumsy self-blinding target unable to deal the things that engage her. What’s worse, Rochester trades her heal for her smoke, meaning, players are left purchasing a regular old Baltimore, with some fancy AA, or a deaf-mute without a heal. Yes. She was that painful; a concept that bumps in the worst of ways, both theoretically and in practice. While her concealment has been buffed, it’s still an awful kit as her smoke fire concealment is still too weak to present much of a force upon the caps. If we’re stuck to smoke firing spam, there are better ships than Rochester; even making good old Belfast 43 seem like a knight in shining armor.
Both of these ships do sport improved AP performance, in the shape of improved ricochet angles. We’ll tear this apart in the ballistic section, as per the norm. Baltimore’s ballistic performance has been studied quite extensively in the past, which has set up an excellent point of comparison.

Offense

• Rochester: AVERAGE

Let’s start with the prodigal child and then work towards the bought rented mule. Celtic does well here, in terms of heavy cruisers (203mm) she sits nearer the top of the lists dropping more midfield when included with the rest of the pack. Apart from some of those silly DPM small caliber ships, Celtic packs a noteworthy punch. Rochester starts more midfield and holds her placing through the pack. For a 203mm cruiser, a 2s difference in reload is often enough to bump a ship up or down a rank, entirely. This translates to roughly 20k between the two, and about a full salvo difference.

In terms of alpha punch, Celtic and Rochester are somewhat similar separated by the performance of firing different shells off different reloads from the same gunnery.

Celtic has among the better AP DPM values for a 203mm armed cruiser, only being outclassed by ships with meatier AP. In terms of overall, Celtic sits more midfield. Her overall AP ballistic performance allows her to unlock more of this actual number than many of her counterparts.

Overall, there’s not all that much to crow about here. Rochester sits a bit lower on the charts than Celtic due to reload. Both have improved ballistics to offer compensation for a lack of torpedoes. The DPM numbers are at their worst, workable, and at best, functional, neither being awful nor spectacular. Celtic takes the edge due to better numbers overall.

Ballistics

• Celtic: GREAT

The tell-all ballistic chart. Royal Navy Cruisers and US Navy Cruisers sport among the best AP performance in their respective classes and tiers. Celtic has among the best HE DPM numbers of the Baltimores, but takes a hit on her fire chance percentage. Rochester SHAP hits like a truck, along with her Baltimore cousins. Things get interesting here the more you study this chart, captains. Celtic has arguably better HE, but worse AP. Rochester has SHAP and excellent AP performance, but poor shell count. AL Baltimore once again takes the cake with the best “happy medium” of the bunch, sporting a decent shell count, SHAP with excellent penetration and a lower muzzle velocity introducing slightly higher arcs yielding much more forgiving angles on the receiving end…
What I can say definitively, is Baltimore SHAP has much greater penetration than the standard AP. Wichita leans on HE at range, and she has the numbers to back it up, Baltimore hardly ever shoots HE in practice which is backed up by her AP performance and penetration values. Captains, it would not be entirely erroneous in terms of gunnery to compare Stock Baltimore to Celtic and Wichita or Elite Baltimore to Rochester and AL Baltimore.

The major and palpable difference in performance here is between Celtic and the native Baltimores, is that Celtic lacks SHAP. This means Celtic’s AP shells weigh less, which translates to depleting velocity and thus penetration values faster than the Baltimores heavier shells. Fortunately, Baltimore has some of the best AP penetration in her class which means that Celtic can afford to lose some raw penetration value before she begins to suffer. Rochester wins the AP argument here, while Celtic takes the HE side. It’s almost literally splitting hairs, and Baltimore Mains will feel right at home in either ship.

If you’re looking to start fires, grab Albemarle. However, this is about the only such category she takes. Celtic manages better with access to a shorter reload and better overall ballistic properties. Shell by shell, edge Rochester, overall, solidly in Celtic’s favor by a full 9 shells.

Torpedoes

• Torpedo-less

Neither of these ships sport torpedoes, so this section is predicably blank.

Defense

• Celtic: GREAT
• Rochester: AVERAGE

Let’s jump into the major category of defense. Celtic arguably may be one of the best, Rochester, rather mediocre. From the top.
Celtic has among the best effective health pools, just edging out Edinburgh with a chunky 66k. It’s worth pointing out Albemarle tops both with a mighty 78k, though most Albemarle tend to be much more passive alluding to a different playstyle entirely. Baltimore is considered “tanky” at 56k, and Celtic adds in a super-heal. I wouldn’t chance to say Albemarle is particularly tanky, but she can heal quite well. A Baltimore is tanky enough to access that 66k EHP and is a scary thought. Baltimore can take a punch, where Edinburgh relies on defense by trickery, clever armor schemes and angling, Albemarle by range and angle. It’s also quite worth mentioning that Celtic rests with 36,7k base HP, meaning on par with most Cruiser Lights. Captains, you will feel getting hit in Celtic. Kit with 9.9km radar, sonar, a super heal, decent armor, excellent AA and workable concealment…captains, this is a literal no-brainer. Celtic is a slightly different twist off some of the most competitive ships in the game.
Rochester is rather tanky like most of her preceding Baltimore cousins. She has the same armor scheme essentially, and similar HP/EHP values. While this would normally be good on its own, Rochester has an Achilles’ Heel. Rochester must choose between having smoke or having a heal, and outright lacks Radar. While she has defensive AA, this is mostly a living meme rather than consistently as effective in combat as Radar. As said before, in terms of smoke cruisers there are just better options some of which don’t involve sacrificing your heal, or even radar. This relegates Rochester to just being a rather average 203mm CA, with very slightly better AA and decent enough armor.
The ranking seems a bit harsh, but that’s generally the difference between the hunter (Celtic), and the hunted (Rochester). Rochester initially will feel getting hit less, due to a larger health pool however, the table quickly swings in favor of Celtic, which gets most of it back.

Armor

This chart below sticks to the USN and RN CA/CLs for now... At some point, this chart will include overmatch and juicy other details for all the cruisers, but for now, it is simple enough to get the point across. Most Cruisers have their critical spaces directly abutting the hull, others don’t. Cruiser armor varies widely and is worth looking at because there are absolutely ships with specific advantages worth exploring and exploiting. For now, let’s keep it simple.
As summarized before, the Baltimore Class has relatively good armor, while it has its weaknesses, is generally functional enough to get by. They are neither needlessly weighed down by their armor, nor under-armored. It’s worth saying Rochester and Celtic have vaguely the same armor lay out and will handle 380mm Battleships.

Anti-Air Suite

• Celtic: GREAT

Rochester takes the cake here, with better and larger AA guns she’s rather resistant to airborne pests. Celtic ties in with the close second, along with her sisters. The truly beautiful thing about either ship is that captains will not need to waste any energy into building this into making this sector a functional kit. Captains, you can save some defensive energy by focusing into Celtic’s Radar and by leaving Rochester in port. The magic number here is being north of that 350/s line, Azuma scrapes by with a bit of focus, where pretty much all the USN ships will laugh off aircraft. A major point of contention that is worth noting; Rochester is immune, Celtic is quite resistant to CVs, where Albemarle gets by here, and Edinburgh is rather hindered. I suspect this will be massively impactful for competitive players.

Rochester takes the cake here, because everyone deserves to be really good at something. However, with CVs it’s important to remember everything is relative.

Concealment

• Rochester: GOOD
• Celtic: GOOD

Technically these are the same values while stock, and their rating is the same. However, this is quite deceiving. Rochester is GOOD leaning on GREAT where Celtic is GOOD leaning on AVERAGE. The reason for this follows their available commanders, which Shelly Beapley offers a unique 4th row concealment skill unavailable to any other commander, or nation. The result of this, Rochester, like her cousins sits at a comfortable 9.3km, where Celtic sits at 9.9km. Rochester can do almost nothing with this concealment, as she lacks radar, and her smoke fire window is just a pale 1.7km below her surface concealment. However, that .6km is a palpable difference and can open huge strategic windows; particularly once south of that magic 10km line.
The obvious connotation here is that hiding a radar cruiser inside 10km is far scarier than hiding a smoke cruiser inside 9.5, provocatively when that same smoke cruiser can be spotted inside her smoke at 7.6km. Captains, this 7.6km is on par with her sisters, however, this is a very narrow margin even for a support cruiser. Smoke is infinitely easier to use than radar, however, infinitely less forgiving.

Maneuverability

• Celtic: GOOD
• Rochester: WEAK

Celtic sits almost smack dab of the upper midfield pack of heavy cruisers where Rochester sits more towards the end of the pack. Rochester feels clunky and handles like it, where Celtic feels more “native” to her respective class sharing the same stats. While this is rated good overall, its more average in the face of Lighter Cruisers, representing more of a bang-for-the-buck scenario.

Commanders

Celtic:
Celtic essentially has one commander that is head and shoulders ahead of the rest, while the rest kind of just work. HotRod offers the best fit here inarguably, along with Radar Edinburgh and Radar Minotaur. This sets Celtic up to be a near par build with the USN CA Queen Shelly Beapley. While her 4th row skill’s absence here is certainly felt and results in a 9.9km concealment, the build is largely similar and works well for any radar focused cruiser. While there are other builds out there, this is the gem of the lot and helps unlock that sacred mantra of utility that surrounds the Baltimore Class. Inspirations should focus on concealment, Mikawa and Swirski, to bring Celtic’s detection to pair with her Radar.
HotRod

• Cognizant: -10% Radar Cooldown Time
• Ingenious: -7% Incoming Splash Damage, +1.6o/s Gun Traverse
• Full Speed Ahead: +5% Speed, -10% Rudder Shift
• Prescience: -20% Air Detection, +10% Radar Duration
• Acoustic Chamber: -25% Sonar Cooldown, +5% Sonar Duration, +1 Sonar Charge
• Fully Packed: -5% Consumable Reload, +1 Consumable Charge

Rochester:
Nothing can be easy with Rochester, and naturally, building her was to the same effect. Essentially there are two trains of thought for this ship, build into dispersion or build into utility.
AL Montpelier seemed to mesh the best, which then turns Rochester into a little flamethrower capable of merging all her shells into a single pixel. However, this build is rather finicky to use and has a fair number of weaknesses. The build heavily relies on team spotting and is itself a second-line cruiser. Something like a 19-20% fire chance and a nasty dispersion circle. Rochester already has excellent gunnery performance as discussed; Montpelier really sharpens the sword. Pair with AL Scharnhorst and Scott to reduce dispersion and sigma, respectively, even further.

It's a rare day when Shelly gets sat down in favor of another commander in the USN CA tree, but I kept falling into the same pitfalls using the same build for similar ships often being able to use radar. Shelly will help bring out Rochester’s utility, but she’s arguably not as well fit in on Rochester as AL Montpelier is. Pair Beapley with concealment inspirations from Mikawa and Swirski and enjoy a very beautiful 9.3km concealment. Rochester has SHAP and excellent penetration values, meaning she can readily ambush and critically strike ships quite larger than her, all without torpedoes.

Consumables

Ok, rather than spell out everything, everywhere, all at once; I’m going to keep it simple here.
Celtic:

1. Damage Control: Standard, unlimited uses. 60s cooldown.
2. Sonar: 3km Torp, 4.2km Ship detection. Lasts around 98s when kit with Hot Rod and reloads in 132.
3. Radar: 9.9km range and lasts about 28s when built.
4. Heal: 733/s over 20s. Yep, that’s over 14k HP. Reloads in less than a minute too.

Celtic has a near ideal consumable suite. There are some differences off the mainstream, such as slightly less sonar range or shorter radar duration. Glossing over the minor differences, the bigger picture reveals something better. Built, Celtic can regenerate a LOT of health.
Rochester:

1. Damage Control: Standard, unlimited. 60s cooldown.
2. Defensive AA: +200% average AA damage. This is memes, it's sort of like a bug zapper for planes.
3. Sonar: Standard 3.3km/4.4km detection over 96s. The average sonar found on everything.
4. Smoke/Heal: 30s duration, 104s dissipation time for the smoke. 251/s over 28s for the heal.

Rochester is rather standard in her access to her consumables, with the killer choice between smoke or a heal. I’ve gone back and forth, generally landing on the heal. Rochester is essentially a decent cruiser hampered by her rather average consumable suite.

Modifications

1. Aiming Systems Mod 1: -7% Dispersion
2. Steering Gears Mod 2: -20% Rudder Shift
3. Concealment Mod 1: -10% Detectability
4. Main Battery Mod 3: -15% Gun Reload

Ok, so the modifications section is super easy because both ships share the same builds. Aiming Systems mod 1 for the dispersion, player’s choice on slot 2 with either propulsion mod 2 or steering gears mod 2. Concealment Mod 1 for slot 3 and finishing off slot 4 by increasing DPM with main battery mod 3.

Upgrades

• Both Celtic and Rochester are premium ships without any researchable upgrades.

Research

• Neither of these ships are currently used in Research Projects. Look out though, one of those random reward or anniversary projects in the future might literally scream having one of these two tucked inside.

Summary

• Celtic: GREAT
• Rochester: AVERAGE

Celtic is a joy. Rochester is work.
I can see Celtic becoming a popular contestant in competitive play with the access to that 9.9km radar and her super heal. I rather lamented her HE performance, more due to her lower fire chance then her DPM or ballistic performance. While it would be nice to see her have ¼ pen HE, she doesn’t need it. I find her nicely balanced and well measured to take on Tier 7. She is just unique enough to warrant her own review, whilst similar enough to stay nearer the beaten path. While she may not comfortably and outright usurp Wichita CE and AL Baltimore from their spots, she’s worth mentioning with the group. That’s saying something.
Rochester, well, let’s just say that not everyone can be the best. This ship is tough but can be rewarding in a sense of overcoming the demands of a challenging ships. My issue with Rochester is 2-fold, her smoke and her heal. She ideally needs both to function in this current meta, and running the ship’s gimmick leaves her with abysmal EHP in a plummet from pretty good to 3rd worst overall, which only trumps Harbin and Bayard while being out-healed by Weimar. With a smoke-fire penalty in the mid 7’s km, smoke is hard to use effectively that is not relegated to back line, HE spam. As said before, if we’re really going to be stuck to this, there are ships which do this better. While I love the perspective of a USN CA without radar just to offer something more unique, a USN CA without Radar is like a cart without a horse. Hilariously enough, Rochester seems to avoid CV games like the actual plague, so I suppose that’s one strong point. Otherwise, and largely, captains are left with a rather average 203mm CA.

My computer is shutting down while gaming or gpu benchmarking. The temperatude of cpu while gaming is normal (around 55 celsius) and the gpu is around 80-85 with some peaks at 90 on benchmarking. The pc is just violent shutting down and restarting without warnings, i see on the event visualizer of windows the KERNEL POWER critical error. My psu is brand new as the entire build (assembled two days ago), its an 850W 80 plus gold. What should i check? Faulty gpu or faulty psu? I have my ram set on XMP1 3600 (stock frequency), no overclocks or undervolting anywhere. Gpu linked with 2 pcie cables (no daisychain). CPU stability test is passed with temperature around 33° celsius. Also today i tried Rams and they are good, memtest found no errors. Also i tried with xmp off but the problem is still there. So Rams are not faulty and they are good i think. I checked the voltages and they seems good on all rails 3v, 5v, 12v (not checked under load honestly). I have installed missing drivers from Intel ME. Yesterday i have played for a game almost 1hr with no problems, game runs smooth i also tried some undervolting/oc and it worked. I played Battlefield 2042 quality all max out with ray tracing turned on to give an high load on the gpu. Everything was good. But then, i started a stress with Superposition and the computer after 1min shutdown immediately. Same after with Heaven Benchmark. So something still working bad .. I checked the wattage of the gpu but they seems good, around 180/190 watt and temperature around 65/70 in junction and 55/57 into the core. I am really going to lose my mind. Tomorrow the corsair Rm850x arrives and I will try that.. maybe the psu even brand new is faulty.

Im F32. Partner M30. my relationship has been pretty rock solid until a week and a half ago when I seen that he had messaged his daughters kinder teacher telling her that he was almost done with me. When I tried to talk to him about it today he told me he doesn’t have the app on his phone, so to make me feel crazy. I didn’t back down but then he tried to convince me by re-downloading it and conveniently couldn’t get in. I said he had posted stuff 11/12 days ago of his dick. He’s sweating black and blue that they’re all old and that it’s not him posting, someone has taken his photos and videos and is pretending to be him. I don’t believe this at all. 5-6 logo ke bad i found this guy from Assam and when I told him ki maine 12th board diya hai, he told me that he'll be checking the cbse papers. Turns out he was a teacher so maine unko pucha ki checking wagerah ka kya scene hai (normally)
And he said ki basically teachers ko ye pata hai ki papers hard aaye the (I'm a pcm student to maine uska pucha but i guess baki ka bhi aisa hi kuch hoga) And he also told me ki he and other teachers have been instructed to give maximum marks. "Jaha 1 ban rahe hai usko 2 dene ki koshish karne ke liye bola gaya hai hame"
He also told ki no one would fail as long as they have filled the sheets.
Although he was an English teacher and just to confirm it, maine unko ek passage ka ek question pucha (cuz unseen passage lagbhag sab papers me same hota hai) and not only he identified the passage with my outline but ans bhi bata diye so i guess he was not some random unkil.
So yeah, let's hope for the best.
Tldr: I talked to a 12th English teacher on a random calling website and found out that they have been instructed to be lenient and award max possible marks.

I thought it would destroy me but all I felt was a twinge and that surprised me. The more I think about it the more I roll my eyes. She's still married and still texting me wanting to "come to an understanding" yet has already moved in with him and his kid. We have nothing left to understand, no kids or assets left to split and the reasons for the divorce are clear and mutual. There's a reason she wants to keep me on the burner and understanding ain't it. I feel for the dude but I am so happy it's not me this time. I've learned to put myself first and get settled in my new life before trying to involve other people in it and I am so thankful for that lesson. I have been feeling like I am ready to start dating but have been going back and forth. I was worried when this moment came it would make me want to jump right in and lose myself in someone but it doesn't. It does the opposite actually. I want a solid relationship built on mutual respect and love grown over time. I want someone I truly know and can trust. I want someone that will add to the life I've built for myself. I have to actually build that life before any of that can happen and I'm looking forward to that journey. It's going to have an amazing payoff at the end.

Every couple of months my gf is away for two weeks for school/job purposes. Over there she has an entirely different friend group that I basically don't know (Gf has struggled making friends in the past so I'm happy for every friend she makes). One of those friends is a lesbian girl "S" (who is currently in a relationship). My gf and I have been a little more clingy and touchy than usual lately, so when she went away for the week we were both a little sad (idk how to call it). A couple of days in, my girlfriend told me that she and S shared a bed that night (another friend of hers was also in the room) and cuddled a little throughout the night.
Which is all in all not super concerning imo. We've been together for little over 4 years and I trust my gf in pretty much every way.
Anyway they shared a bed for I think the remainder of the week and went on walks in which they concluded that they may want a little more than a normal friendship. Now that they're back home, gf and S kept texting and got more and more horny (with each other but also in general).
She now asked me if it'd be okay if the continued, and eventually meet up and actually sleep with each other instead of fantasizing, or if I want them to stop.
(Couple weeks ago out of curiosity I asked my gf about her current sexual attraction towards other women, to which she replied that couldn't imagine sleeping with another women/that she'd find it weird)
A quick turn of events. I personally don't know if I want them to continue/stop, hence I'm asking on this sub.

Im typing this at almost 2am on a phone so whatever standards ya have lower them to the fuckin floor. This shit's gonna be all over the place. No this isn't feel pity me or "im not like other girls" i just need to get all this shit off my chest.
The night before i turned 12 my mom had told me i could grt whateber haircut i wanted and she'd let me. This meant the world to me, i absolutely hated(and still do) having long hair. I had really long thick hair with natural highlights and it went way past my shoulders before i got it cut. The day after my birthday aka the day after my haircut he passed away. I didn't get to talk to him or even say anything for about a week or more prior. That was last year, my birthday is coming up. He bought me my first real bike, got me my first real fishing pole, taught me how to use those long stick styled knife sharpeners from when he owned a butcher shop, and sooo many other things i can list. You know those boxes of Raspberry filled powder donuts? He'd get those and give me one or two(at dif times obviously) and tell me to keep it a secret since it'd sometimes be before dinner. I remember he used to babysit me when i was little. I remember everything we did together, how on Saturday's he'd cook breakfast and save me a peice of crispy bacon and watch cartoons with me, how on a couple occasions i put face paint on him, another couple occasions i did his hair, and sooo sooo much more. In summer we did yard work, winter we helped put up christmas decorations(he loved to go all out and we accidentally started a little bit of a contest for a few years with the neighbors), and later in the summer we'd have(and still have) beach family reunions for four days at the campsite we've stayed at for years. And for my 10th birthday he got me my own box of Raspberry filled powder donuts, which i had to wrestle out of my brothers' and cousins' hands on a few occasions, all the same day. Now every now and then my uncle and/or gramma get me my own box.
I really miss my papa. All the great memories we had and made. I wish i could tell him about all the new things in my life since he passed since so much has changed. I got a puppy since she was rescued, my other dog is taller then me when she's on back legs, im going to a new school, i have great grades and got into leadership, im starting track, and so many other little things like the recipes I've tried/or made that i know he'd love, I've gotten counseling, and all the really stipid and funny things i do at school. All because he's the only one who'd every actaully tell me he was proud of me, the only one who was actaully excited and happy for and with me. Like yeah other people would get happy and excited too, but at the same time it feels like it's something they expected and it was just a fake. And the only other time i get told someone's proud of me is whenever it's a joking type of mood, all i want is for someone to tell me they're proud of me and it not be fake. My papa made a very specific type of potato salad, I've never had anything like it and nothing better then it. He said his secret was cream cheese and love, along with whatever else he had put in it that you wouldn't typically put in potato salad. I used to get huge servings of it and would always go back for more. My uncle and gramma have tried to remake it on a few occasions, i either mever ate it or ate a small amount. Everyone agreed it was different even though they'd followed the exact recipe. I miss it as stupid as it may sound.
I haven't cried about his passing but as i right this i feel like i might cry, or sneeze, i cant really tell yet they feel the same to me when the come on lol. I know this was a lot and i doubt anyone actaully read it all, but if you did thank you.

So I’ve met this girl and I think she’s the one.. I honestly don’t know if Im going crazy or just willing it to be right this time. I hope I’m right this time
We met on a cold spring night when I was feeling lost and life was feeling chaotic. I had absolutely blown my phone up earlier that day, and if you were to know anything about me that’s a pretty regular occurrence and if I had a therapist she’d probably have something to say about it.
Being new to a big city something urged me to go out that night. I’ve never been scared of going out by myself, and something about it always excited me. I remember flipping a coin between the casino down the road, or a bar about an half hour transit away. An hour later I was 40 dollars up and the urge to go to the bar was still there. I cashed out and followed this urge and made my way.
I was pretty sober so I decided to grab something for the lineup as there was always about an hour wait. I ended up hitting it off with a couple guys in line that I never saw again, the way it normally goes. I love meeting new people especially down to earth people with good energy. I’ve always been super sensitive to peoples energy. I guess some people would call me an empath but I’ve always hated being put in a box.
I finally got in to the bar and headed to the dance floor. For some context I’m that dumb idiot that loves getting everyone involved on the dance floor, the one with unapologetic moves, the one that try’s to bring out as much happiness as I can from everyone around me, I’m definitely a floater. I was there for the fun, and the energy. And that’s where I met this girl. The dance floor.
To take a step back and give you some background so you don’t think I’m absolutely crazy. I’ve had my fair share of relationships. Three relationships all lasting roughly 3 years, all ending because I didn’t want to settle for someone that deep down i knew wasn’t the one. All absolute great connections and beautiful people. Just a mix of mismatched love languages and excessive compromising.
I’ve never believed in love at first sight, but this was something different. It was more of a feeling that this time it was different. Her energy was immaculate and like nothing I’ve experienced before. There was something about her that I just knew, I had a feeling. I could feel our connection before hearing her voice. I’ve never met anyone that matched me on the dance floor, that bounced off me and that I didn’t feel like an absolute idiot with. Ive danced with about 100 different girls, but this was different yes it was sexual but at the same time it wasn’t at all.. we both felt it, our energies intertwining.
I remember standing still, smiling, and just looking at her as the blurry bodies moved around us, asking her where she’s been hiding and that’s he’s my type like some sappy love drunk kid would.
I remember asking her if she wanted something to drink, and she said anything but tequila. I laughed cause I hate tequila and would have had a hard time pretending to keep it down. She wanted a vodka cran, one of my go-to’s. And so our similarities would continue.
My dumb ass gave her my number and we went our ways, both knowing this connection meant more than a one night stand. I woke up the morning after and realized I gave the girl my number with no way of messaging her back. I went to Telus the next day and got a new phone in the hopes of tracking her down. After setting my phone up and downloading all the apps , there she was in my dm’s. Thank god.
We texted for the next couple of days, like middle schoolers under the covers who just got their phones. We hit it off instantly and slowly began to realize we shared more than our love for vodka crans and the dance floor. We both checked off eachothers boxes and started getting uncomfortable with how similar we were.
We decided to to meet up for our first date, both giddy with excitement, nervous cause we hadn’t talked much in person the first night, just danced in each-others energy.
We ended up talking and talking without a hitch. I couldn’t take my eyes off her and I couldn’t keep my smile of my face. I just knew. It felt like I met my match, my mirror.
A few dates followed, and a lot of texting followed. I’ve never met anyone I’ve clicked so fast with. I’ve never connected so fast with anyone before. All the little things she does is what I’ve been missing, the kisses on the cheek, the way she tickles my chest when we’re cuddling and she’s the first one see and appreciate all the small things I do. She feels like my missing puzzle piece.
I know I’m crazy and it’s only been four weeks. I’m just crazy about this girl, I know people, I’ve met a lot of people, I’ve been around a lot of energies but I’ve never met anyone like her. And I just know.
I guess I just want advice, I hope I’m not alone, and I really hope this is how it’s supposed to be. Is hope it’s supposed to be this easy. Is this what it’s like meeting your soulmate?

The sun streamed through the windows of the McDonald's, casting a warm, golden glow on the faces of four friends sitting in a booth. They were laughing and enjoying their breakfast, a light-hearted banter filling the air. The comfortable hum of idle chatter mingled with the sizzle of the deep fryer, and the scent of warm, greasy food wafted through the restaurant.
Daymion Gallo, a 20-year-old male with red hair and blue eyes, took a sip of his coffee before addressing his friends. "So, are we all set for the day trip to Flagstaff? I heard there's an amazing spot for photos up in the mountains."
Shaemus Heginbotham, Daymion's 22-year-old brother, pushed up his glasses with a hint of excitement in his blue eyes. "Definitely! I've been doing some research, and there's a place called 'Aspen Corner.' It's supposed to be incredible this time of year. The leaves are changing, and the views are breathtaking."
Karina Traynor, Daymion's girlfriend, brushed a strand of her medium-length brown hair behind her ear as she listened intently. Her brown eyes lit up at the idea of an adventure with her friends. "That sounds perfect! I've been wanting to get some new photos for my Instagram. Plus, I've never been to Flagstaff before."
Reganne Ghirardelli, a 5-foot-3 brunette with brown eyes and Shaemus's fiancée, chimed in. "Count me in! It'll be nice to get out of the city for a day, and I'm excited to see what Flagstaff has to offer."
As they continued to discuss their plans, Daymion suddenly felt a chill crawl up his spine. His vision blurred, and he found himself in a nightmarish scene set within the McDonald's. The once bustling restaurant was now eerily silent, and time seemed to slow down as he observed a series of events unfolding before him.
An employee, carrying a tray laden with food and drinks, slipped on a puddle of soda that had gone unnoticed. The tray flew into the air, and the contents tumbled to the ground in slow motion. A large cup of iced coffee collided with a helium-filled promotional balloon, which had been drifting lazily near the ceiling. The balloon, now punctured, spiraled out of control, its ribbon wrapping around a decorative paper banner hanging from the ceiling.
The weight of the balloon tugged at the banner, which was anchored to a wall-mounted TV on one end. The force was enough to dislodge the television from its mount, causing it to crash onto the counter below. The impact sent a canister of powdered coffee creamer flying into the air, scattering its contents like a cloud of dust.
The friends, seated together in the booth, watched the bizarre scene unfold before them. As the cloud of powdered creamer hung in the air, a nearby heat source—an exposed wire in a malfunctioning electrical outlet—ignited the highly flammable dust.
Flames erupted, and the fire spread rapidly throughout the restaurant. Reganne, who had been closest to the outlet, was quickly engulfed by the flames. Her friends looked on in horror as the fire consumed her, leaving them paralyzed with shock and disbelief.
Shaemus, desperate to save Reganne, grabbed a fire extinguisher from the wall. He pulled the pin and aimed it at the fire, but in his panic, he failed to notice that the extinguisher had been tampered with.
The pressure gauge showed it was overcharged, making it a dangerous weapon rather than a life-saving tool. As Shaemus squeezed the handle, the extinguisher exploded in his hands, sending shrapnel through the air. A jagged piece struck him in the temple, and he collapsed to the ground, lifeless.
Karina, realizing that the situation was growing dire, frantically searched for an escape route. She noticed a window that led to the outside and made a run for it, hoping to break it open with a nearby chair. However, as she lifted the chair to smash the window, a dislodged ceiling tile, weakened by the flames, fell onto her. The heavy tile struck her head, causing her to lose consciousness and collapse onto the floor, the fire closing in around her.
Daymion, now the last of the group still conscious, fought to maintain his composure amidst the chaos. The fire roared around him, and the heat was nearly unbearable. He spotted an emergency exit and made a desperate dash towards it, his heart pounding in his chest. Just as he was about to reach the door, a support beam, weakened by the flames, collapsed in front of him, blocking his path.
Trapped and with no way out, Daymion felt a sense of hopelessness wash over him. He closed his eyes and braced himself for the inevitable. But in that instant, the horrific vision faded away, and he found himself back in the booth with his friends, the restaurant once again bustling with life.
Disoriented and shaken, Daymion took a moment to process the terrifying vision he had just experienced. He knew that he had to act quickly to prevent the horrifying chain of events from becoming a reality.
"Guys, we need to get out of here right now!" Daymion exclaimed, urgency lacing his voice. The others, startled by his sudden outburst, exchanged confused glances but could see the fear in Daymion's eyes.
Without waiting for a response, Daymion hurriedly ushered his friends out of the booth and towards the exit. As they left the restaurant, the chain of events from Daymion's vision began to unfold behind them.
From the safety of the parking lot, the group of friends watched in shock as the McDonald's burst into flames. Daymion's heart raced as he realized the gravity of the situation and the narrow escape they had just experienced. Though the ordeal had been harrowing, he knew that his vision had given him the opportunity to save his friends from a gruesome fate.

Okay, a little background. I (27M) have been in my current industry for a bit over 6 years, and I’m at a relatively high/level position. I’m good at what I do and I absolutely busted my ass to get here so I’m significantly younger than most others at my level. I also suffer from severe bipolar disorder. I have struggled with my mental health since childhood, including forced hospitalization periods as an adult.
Okay with that background out of the way - I have a coworker (21F) who doesn’t report directly to me, but being a senior member of the same team, I am often assigned to supervise them. We’ve gotten to know each other relatively well over the last few months , and they told me they’ve been struggling with mental health things and that’s why their work has been struggling. I obviously empathized a lot with their situation, and at their urging, I helped get a few specific allowances for them (relaxation of tardiness and attendance policy mainly).
Now here’s the fucky part. The work is worse than ever. I’m picking up an absolute ton of slack because they’re basically never here. Legitimately hasn’t contributed anything of substance in weeks. And the other day basically admitted they’re just partying non stop now that they don’t have to worry about work anymore. Checked their Instagram too, and it checks out. Always out or travelling, generally having a blast. And I heard from someone else that they basically admitted that they’re taking advantage of the system. Now, I’m at a loss. I could let it slide but it’s starting to affect my work too. I could, for lack of a better word, “tell on them” but I’ve never been that guy. What should I do?

Just found out that C. M. Marr on Ferry Road is closing in April after over 50 years. Mr. Marr must be around 90 and is the nicest guy. I think he said he started working in the art business as a kid, maybe on or near Victoria St? He said the building had like 8 floors, each floor dedicated to a different art-related trade. Wish I’d written the story down when he told me, as he’s awfully busy now for chatting. He said he came from a mining family, I think in Musselburgh. Anyway, if you have anything to be framed, you have until 15 April!

I just wanted to take a minute to talk about the importance of self-care. In a world where it can be easy to get caught up in work and the hustle of everyday life, it's important to take the time to focus on ourselves. Whether it's taking a hot bath, meditating, or going for a walk, taking time to relax and recharge can really help us to stay on top of our game and make the most out of each day.

Newer player here, ~110 consecutive days logged in and already MR24. Story time!
On my quest to build/rank them all, I set my sights on Xaku a couple days ago and started grinding his part blueprints. Got chassis and systems within a couple bounties then spent 4+ hours grinding before the "common" neuroptics dropped (but I'm not here to talk about this). So I go to start building the guy and I see Gyromag Systems, unfamiliar with this material so off to Google I go!
Exploiter Orb bounty... Ok... Just be max rank to access this bounty... Ok... Can't be taxied... Ok well time to grind this I guess. Need 4 Medical Bonds to hit my next rank up so I target farmed which took another 4 hours to get 2 supposedly "common" drops spamming back to back bounties. Ranked up, now I need 10-12 of both Medical and Advance Bonds. Are you f**king kidding me? After I just spent 4 hours to just get 2 "common" drops? Back to Google... How to get guaranteed Medical Bonds... Only guaranteed drop is from: Exploiter Orb. Which I can't access until max rank at which point at which point I will no longer need them. COME ON. Why is the only guaranteed source of a rank up item locked behind max rep where you'll no longer need it?!
Which brings me to this post: why do we have to pay to rank up factions? It makes no sense. It was annoying with the regular play factions but this is just next level cancer - everything I need is locked behind 4 others locks. There's no reason for it and you can't even skip it with platinum (if any system in this game be skippable for plat, it should be this). I'm not even gonna get into the daily standing cap, which is also ridiculous. Let me no life a rep grind if I want to FFS!
I've played many games with rep grinds and not one makes you pay to go to the next level. Where is the logic? I grind my butt off to get a faction to like me only to get "all that work you did that we definitely couldn't do ourselves is cool but you gotta actually pay us for us to like you more." You're essentially being punished as a reward. If something is needed to rank up give us a special one time mission or 10 stage bounty that rewards us for working! I have way too much stuff to do in this game to be grinding for 4 hours to get one minor thing that's not a weapon or Warframe.
Just needed to rant but I seriously hope this system gets revamped soon.

PARENTAL TALK: MEETING OF MIYAMURA’S AND HORI’S PARENTS
And thus, Kyosuke died…
It was Summer and as they had graduated from high-school, Izumi, Kyoko and gang had went to the beach as once proposed by Remi. Using this opportunity Kyosuke and Yuriko decided to pay a surprise visit to Izumi’s parents – Iori and Naozumi. They had decided to go early evening around the time when the bakery closed, to visit them at the bakery so that they won’t interrupt their business. But there was a small problem….. Kyouske…..
“AAAAAAH!!!! WHERE IS THAT BAKERY!!!!!”, he screamed in agony as the 45th minute of him trying to locate the bakery passed. But to his rescue came, the one and only, the myth, the woman, the legend – Yuriko Hori! Giving a great speech (lecturing Kyosuke), taking the map from him (taking his phone) and seeing through the mist of traps and codes on the map (trying to understand the weird font Kyosuke uses) she declared -
“We passed the turn to their bakery twice before and we have been walking in the complete opposite direction, darling (you idiot).”
“Yuriko, I can’t wait anymore, I will run towards it, you can come as fast as you want.”, saying Kyosuke took off causing a sonic boom as he ran faster than sound leaving behind all the pleas of Yuriko to stop.
Meanwhile at the Miyamura bakery –
Iori stood behind the counter with a notepad, counting the remaining cakes and going over the day’s transaction once again. Naozumi came back from toilet and asked, “I think you are almost done, I will go and sort everything at the back, I have to set new supplies too….. aaaaah so much work!!”
“Now, now, don’t complain a lot.”, Iori replied.
As she completed her task she someone at the door; customer….. but her mind was bamboozled as she saw a “tall ash colour haired smoking man with a lot of sweat who looks like a mafia” (her interpretation).
Confused, she approached cautiously, she was greeted with a question, “Is this the bakery where Miyamura Izumi works?!”
“Yes…”
“Ah I see, he must not be home, we are the reason after all (he is with kyo-chan)”
Stunned Iori stood frozen, only one thought spread in her mind – HE HAS KIDNAPPED IKKKUN!!!!
“Is Izumi’s father here?”, he asked.
“Yes…” OH GOD HE IS GOING TO ASK FOR RANSOME OH GOD PLEASE NO!!!!
She was about to lose all hope but again, came the great savior Yuriko and said, “Dear, you must not scare your daughter’s boyfriend’s parents like this.”
Daughter’s boyfriend’s parents…. Wait does that mean…
Soon the misunderstanding sorted and Iori took them both to her house, telling Naozumi come from behind. She also packed a few cakes.
Back at the Miyamura household’s living room, Kyosuke sat near the center table staring out the large window trying to light a smoke. Iori and Yuriko were chatting and preparing tea and cakes to be brought out. But before Kyosuke can finish lighting his smoke a cold voice from behind stopped him, “No smoking in the house.”
As he looked back he saw a man with brown hair and familiar blue eyes that screamed only one thing – This is Izumi Miyamura’s father!
They both sat face to face at the center table with and awkward silence surrounding them. Kyosuke took the initiative, “So you know, you have a very brave son, he has been able to survive with Kyoko this long, living with her is like living with a dragon, you never know when you get attacked.”
He said it very casually but saw Naozumi thinking very seriously over it. He got scared for a second thinking how he might react but to his surprise he got a, “You know, Iori is not like that, but I was friends with a girl like that in High-school.”
And so the two past high-school popular boys began discussing with great interest, concentration and dedication – the girls they knew back in high-school. Only to be stopped by the intense stares of their wives.
As the great discussion came to an end and they all sat down and started discussing about everyday things.
Yuriko said, “You know these days we don’t get time at all. That day I saw a picture of mine and Kyosuke when we once went to search for clovers with slightly elder kids. Such great days they were.”
Kyosuke laughed, “I remember, that brown-haired guy who was with us got so angry that he couldn’t find any.”
Iori said, “I used to go hunting for clovers all the time. I met Naozumi during one of my trips.”
Yuriko intervened, “You know the elder girl with us had similar hair to yours…”
Iori said, “oh really, you also mentioned brown-hair, Naozumi has brown hair too, such coincidence….”
They all stopped talking for a second.
Naozumi said in a calm voice, “I bet I can beat you all in finding clover if we went head on today.”
Everyone instantly realized the situation and Kyosuke screamed, “You bet! I can beat you anytime!”
They all started laughing.
“Ahh.. they were such good days. Just carelessly enjoying out time.”, said Iori with a smile.
“Yes, and now we have to worry about our kids.”, added Yuriko.
“I know! I didn’t even know Ikkun had a girlfriend, his friend told me.”, said Iori
“They all grow up so fast, I remember when Izumi was still a child, crying every time he fell.”, sighed Naozumi.
“I don’t know about crying but Kyo-chan sure made Sengoku’s kid cry a lot!”, joked Kyosuke.
Everyone laughed and soon with their tea and cakes their talks ended too.
After a pause of silence Naozumi said, “I love how Izumi blushes every time I mention him marrying Kyoko.”
“I know right! Kyo-chan starts blushing too, though she also starts shouting how we are embarrassing him. I am sure Izumi-kun doesn’t do that, he is such a quiet kid.”, said Kyosuke.
“Oh not at all, he runs away all embarrassed too!”, laughed Iori.
Before they could continue further, they heard the door open and up came Izumi and Kyoko back from the beach, hands filled with bags, a slightly tanned skin and with lots of fun memories. They had decided to come here first and give the souvenirs to Miyamura’s parents, and then proceed to her house. But they were surprised to find all the elders together.
“What are you two doing here?”, asked Kyoko surprised.
“Nothing, just meeting Miyamura’s parents. You know, to discuss your marriage.”, teased Kyosuke.
“Our…. Our…. Marriage?!!”, they screamed together.
Izumi stood blushing at the door confused while Kyoko dragged Kyosuke a out who were followed by Yuriko saying farewell to Izumi’s parents.
“I will give them the souvenirs later! I need to deal with Kyosuke!!”, Kyoko screamed as she went away.
The great parental talk ended with laughs and warmth (and some screams and confusion).
