To preface: I have been playing ARPGs for 25 years.
I have spent countless hours in Diablo 1, Diablo 2, Hellgate: London, Titan Quest, Torchlight 1-3, D3, Path of Exile, D2R and now Diablo 4.
The biggest problem that exists in the end game loop is that the most meaningful form of progression begins to feel like the glyph system.
I entered world tier 4 at level 60, I want to say by 62? I got 4 weapons that I have yet to upgrade (I'm lvl 74 and am completing level 40 nightmare dungeons). I'm wearing pants that are about 200ilvls lower because they are functionally better due to damage reduction, my chest is effectively better because of its itemization, etc.
I can't change my rings because (I don't know if this is a bug) but you can't imprint aspects that were extracted from "normal" items onto ancestral items so I'm stuck currently farming for important ring legendaries to finally be able to equip a huge ring upgrade (which feels really bad actually).
So we're playing a game with a minimal trading system. We can trade yellows but good luck finding something meaningful in a system that isn't built to actually trade.
When looking to ARPGs that do a lot of things right we need to address the elephant in the room that many of you are sick of hearing, Path of Exile.
Path of Exile isn't for everyone, and that is ok! But you would have to be a fool to ignore how its progression system is actually meaningful in creating an engaging loop.

1. Currency - this is pretty simple, you find currency that you can trade for an item that you want. You always feel like you're making incremental progress that your time is never wasted because you're able to save up to buy a bigger piece that will allow for you to feel a gain in power to tackle the next challenge.
   
2. Crafting - alternatively you can use the currency above to try and modify your gear semi deterministically to create decent or powerful upgrades. This is an engaging loop and something really missing in the end game in D4 imo where its just press enchant until you run out of gold or give up.
   
3. Item drops, the power level of items don't drop relative to what you're fighting. I got ilvl 795 weapons fighting level 73 monsters at 60, I'm getting very rarely ilvl 800 weapons from fighting level 96 monsters at 74. That doesn't feel satisfying, especially when the stats on them are incredibly vital at this point (core, vulnerable, crit, etc) and again with the enchant system being so bad with only 2 options, no determinism and high cost.
   
4. I don't feel like I'm working towards anything. I pick up every piece of loot and hours and hours and hours and hours and I don't see anything of value. Action RPGs are about loot, they're about incremental progress, it is about feeling like you're growing powerful (not like D3 for the love of the fuck) but right now the way items are acquired and the depth of "growth" feels very similar to Diablo 3 vanilla.
   

What would I change to improve?
I think the biggest thing would be to revamp the enchant system into more of a crafting option. Turn fiend roses and forgotten souls into a way to target certain aspects, or even introduce defensive and offensive options for rerolling affixes.
A trade system would be great to search for certain values. Gold is great but at this point the value of it is so astronomical to even try and trade it for items would be silly. Putting more value into souls/roses could make them a good trading alternative.
Lastly, the power level of items should scale better with the difficulty of the monsters you face and the lower brackets of the item level shouldn't be as much. IE 96 monsters shouldn't be dropping items with a power level of 600ish.
Clearly the game can be completed at level 100, that has already been done. But there is a reason a person can put in thousands of hours into PoE well beyond completing the seasonal challenge and that has almost everything to do with HOW you feel more powerful over time with the gear feeling meaningful and working towards upgrades.
TLDR: Diablo 4 is a great game with some decent flaws that will be easily overcome with further iteration via seasonal content but in the meantime itemization is something that I think would benefit from another look and improved to create a more engaging endgame content loop that feels rewarding outside of feed glyph experience.

So me and my ex girlfriend broke up last year because I moved away. we haven’t really talked until I recently moved back and we’ve been talking daily since then. I’ve started catching feelings for her again and she’s been showing a few hints (?) saying that she missed me and hasn’t been able to start another relationship since I left. We’re going to a pride parade together on Saturday and I’m thinking that maybe I should ask her when we do. Would it be weird if I did that? If it is then how do I ask her? I’m planning to buy some mini pride flags and rings for us but other than that I don’t know how. Any advice would be appreciated ^{.^}

I’ve never wrapped my head around this finale, it’s already well established he rejected the moral high ground ever since Season 2 with Davis and main.
And hes already selling drop phones for dangerous criminals throughout session 4, and knows this will give him shady clients when he gets reinstated.
So how does he change before and after his name switch?
Was he not going to have his drop-phone clients and go back to elder law? I don’t buy that.
He wasn’t gonna sign up for the HHM job either.
He’s already embraced himself ever since “Inflatable”, I don’t see how he’s changed since then, and I don’t see how he’s ever “devolved”.
He’s still a lawyer who rejects the moral high ground and does things his own way ever since season 2.
So what does “Winner” even accomplish in terms of his arc?
Is he just trying to say “fuck the law entirely I’m going to break all the rules” to spite Chuck because he thinks he’s sabotaging him even in death?

So I played a ton of DS3 last year and absolutely loved it, I’ve always wanted to get ER but wanted to wait because of how busy this past year has been with me school/work etc. But know I might be ready to get it. Thanks for any help.

1. I’ve heard that although the story in ER is good it’s not quite to the level of DS3, would you say that’s true?
   
2. Are many weapons viable? I’ve heard that there might only be a select few that are really strong, which would be kinda lame.
   
3. Would you say PVP skill translates from DS3 to ER? I’m not sure if it’s worth getting into if I’m already a year behind everyone.

I've recently gotten into making bracelets, rings, necklaces, etc, using seed beads. One thing I've noticed is that while some beads I buy are generally uniform in size and shape, other beads I buy aren't.
Is this normal? I've always kinda just bought a tube of whatever colour I wanted to work with [I go to Michael's, I've yet to find other craft stores that sell 6/0 beads in large varieties] so I've never paid too close attention to brands.
Are certain brands more uniform with their beads? If so I'd like to know which ones as the inconsistent size and shape of certain beads are a bit bothersome.

A JRPG by definition is a japanese role-playing game, yet people consider Elden Ring or dark souls to be an action rpg rather than a jrpg? There are a few arguments that I keep hearing:
1: Souls games have action combat, which makes it an ARPG rather than jrpg.
There's no rule saying that all jrpgs need to be turn based. If that's the case, what about the modern tales series or final fantasy series? Are they not JRPGs? They literally have action combat. On the flip side, South park stick of truth has turn based combat, does that make it a jrpg?
2: JRPG doesn't stand for Japanese RPGs but Japanese-styled Rpgs.
If that's the case, are genshin impact, Honkai star rail also jrpgs despite being made in China? What about South park? It follows the traditional aspects of a jrpg albeit its still very satirical and westernized.
When people claim souls games aren't a jrpg they can't give a definitive answer as to why that's not the case. They usually twist the definition of a JRPG to their interpretation of it. So there is no good reason to not consider the souls games a jrpg other than the fact that it's stylistically very different.

Pls suggest some laptop which I can emulate ps3 games and run elden ring and rdr2 and big games like that on 30 to 60 fps on normal settings

Recently diagnosed and still learning things. I've heard people with ADHD can have sensory issues. My husband, who we think might be on the ASD spectrum, has "severe" sensory issues where loud sounds and bright lights can cause him physical pain. For example, a child screaming in a restaurant or store is a slight-to-no annoyance for me, while for him, it's like someone stabbed him in the ear. A light reflection on a car might just be bright to me, but for him, it's sharp and blinding and can instantly start a migraine.
Since my sensory issues aren't the same as his, I initially thought I don't have sensory issues. But lately, I've been noticing things that bother me that I once thought was "normal" but might not actually be?
I don't wear jewelry. Necklaces and bracelets feel "heavy" to me. I'm constantly aware of their presence on my body. I worry about losing or damaging them. Also, sometimes the metal can be really cold! It's very anxiety inducing for me, so I just don't wear jewelry except for my wedding ring and a necklace for job interviews.
Also, on the cold metal thread, I don't buy shirts with zippers (because that's cold on my skin!) and even avoid some jeans that have a zipper or button that I notice against my skin.
I hate the feel of make up. It's like someone took a baked cake with icing and spread it all over my face. It hate it. I don't want it. I don't know how people stand it.
I hate sleeves with elastic bands that hold around your wrists. They feel restrictive, and I can't stop noticing it, so I don't wear those.
I hate feeling hot on the back of my neck. I was explaining this to my husband when he asked why I cut my hair, and he didn't seem to quite get it. Is that weird?
I hate the feeling of cold on shaved legs. This is one of the things that got me into joining the men on "no shave November" (and eventually stop shaving all together).
I hate going to the beach because I HATE the feeling of sand and salt on my skin. It's awful. I don't like going to the beach for this reason, and if I do it to go along with friends, I HAVE to shower to get all the salt and sand off me immediately afterward. People think I'm weird.
Are these things normal? Surely neurotypical people have things they hate the feel of... how do I know what's ADHD related? Does it even matter in the long run? lol!

I got the S like 3 months ago and it got me back into gaming after missing an entire generation, i chose it cuz i was in a tight budget and for that it more than delivered, i was able to enjoy new and old games all for only 250$ish which is an amazibg value, add to that gamepass ultimate and u have plenty of games while spending so little, but it wasn't all perfect, my expectations for this machine was 1080p gaming, precisely 1080p60fps so i paired it with a 1080p60hz monitor, my expectations were immediately shattered as a lot of games were either locked at 30fps or their 60 fps performance mode looked so bad i had to sacrifice the frames for a decent image most of the time even tho some heavy games like ac Valhalla ran so well, cyberpunk while had a great performance and image quality the reflections looked so noisy and was so distracting, some games like elden ring look great but have a lot of drops and some older titles like rdr2 are stuck to 800p and looked blurry,i heard people say these things aren't noticable on a tv especially since you'll be sitting away from it but i haven't try it, again the series s is a great value but my expectations for it were higher than it could've delivered and while that was on me, i still thing 1080p60fps should be the bare minimum for this gen, i ended it up selling mine and planning on switching to pc since you still keep gamepass and even ps games as well. My conclusion is that if you're on a tight budget or you're a casual gamer who don't have a lot of time to game the series s is perfect but if gaming is your main hobby and you're someone who cares about the quality and performance of games i suggest u look elsewhere cuz you'll be disappointed.
