Yes, we get it. The situation is done(at least on paper and from what we see it is anyway). But to tell people to move on immediately is quite ridiculous(not ridiculous in itself but as if JJ did nothing crazy). JJ quite literally came for Wade in the most unusual manner possible. Many people in this subreddit don't know what it's like to have their reputation called into question at the expense of something important to them like careers, families or even lives. I'm all for forgiving(I even go as far as to not make it a matter of forgiveness when someone wrongs me and I let it go) but you should be able to empathize with everyone who trusted that JJ wouldn't be so low. We all knew JJ's ego was bigger than his forehead and that's cool. But when it doesn't make you accept full responsibility towards someone you have wronged, it sucks to be around you. Many plastic KSI fans do this cycle where they try to play pseudo-PR and minimize the situation, defending him but as soon as JJ apologizes, they hit you with the "he apologized, now move on" as if they didn't just defend such actions. It's also hypocritical from said plastic fans when they say things like "should we continue to hate him?". But when Dillon Danis or Jake Paul do something, it's something that they can never come back from. I'm not a supporter of Danis or Jake, but I at least keep it a buck 99 when someone does something right or wrong regardless of who it is(I'm saying this as a fan of JJ long before he dropped his song Creature). It's also ridiculous how people can't stand Kavos even tho he's telling the truthš. I'm not saying you have to be like "yasssss queen" but for you to hate him and dishonestly say he's manipulating his audience is wrong. As a Kavos fan I can agree he milks situations but every creator does thatššš(they make money by repeatedly doing stuff. Y'all don't get this worked up when JJ continues making try not to laughs or reddit videos). You let him go when he defends Logan Paul's failed escapades(which is confirmed that he hasn't paid his supporters back for) but get angry when people actually hold him accountable for it. Some people think we should got back to making memes for the reddit day as usual as if this situation isn't why we've been coming up with hilarious memes as of lateš. It's cool to be a part of JJ's fan base, but keep that same energy across the board. It's actually unfortunate but it took JJ telling a whole lie for us to finally tell JJ enough is enough. As a small business owner, I'm nowhere near JJ's level in business. But at 22 years of age, I can at least say that I know how to do my research and verify the facts. From a business perspective(if not from a personality/character or boxing standpoint) I've lost respect for you because even though I'm not expecting you to know everything, the information that comes directly to YOU should be info you make a point to verify and taking Keem's word(of all people yikes) or mams was poor insight and oversight from you and a man who worked so hard for you and your vision almost got incapacitated for it. You should do something about those people(obviously up to you) and also stop and think before you say or do something you regret. I'm not gonna stop watching your videos or unfollow your socials, but you have a long way back especially for the people who had your back since the beginning(not so much for the fake fans since they just see you as an angel who deserves unlimited tries). What's more, Wade is W for standing on his square and I wish him the best on his future endeavors(he also gained a new sub in me). Also, JJ should do something about the people behind the scenes who have an issue with the guy using a drink that God forbid is better than primeššš. W JJ's parents for not getting involved, W Ethan for saying it like it is and idk about the other Sidemen who didn't understand the whole situation but no hard feelings toward anyone anyway. Finally, Mo came outta nowhere with his response to Kavosš. Kavos was right and I think Mo just wanted the situation to end(which is fine) but for him to come from the woodwork to tell Kavos that when he said nothing the whole time was not it. He should've stayed quiet. Do better supposed fans of KSI. Hold JJ and everyone regardless of what childish or genuinely justified feelings you have toward them, to the same standard. That's all...

I've tried to get off amph, last dose was 23.03, 5;00, around 10:30 I went to school, get back at 13:00, went to sleep, then I woke up at 18:00 and my mind and also my eyes were pullsing but I had to get to work. Went back and went to bed. Again I woke up 7:00 next day to get ready for Uni, but I came back to some after going to bus stop cuz it was nearly impossible for me to stand still and even sit, I get back some, woke up at 17:00, and it was still impossible for me to stand or even sit. My body felt very warm, I had cold sweats, my mind was foggy and I wasn't able to do anything. I had to redose cuz of my work.
How to stop speeding? I'm not able to take 3-4 days off to only lay in bed. And it's not like I can force myself to go walking or sitting cuz minute after minute I'm starting to get more sweaty and the only thing my mind is saying me is "go to bed, now, or we are fucked".
I want this to end.

It soon became evident that there was a lack of diligence, urgency, and care paid to my case. It seemed like he was only interested in settling the case quickly, rather than putting in additional research or effort to reach a satisfying result. Looking back, I felt forced to follow his counsel to accept the low-ball offer of $35,500 on nearly $19,000 in medical bills, barely enough to cover their 33.3% attorney fee and my own bills.
On April 6, 2022, I sustained extensive injuries, including a 2-inch diameter concussion and subsequent dent on my head, bruising, and injuries to my neck, arms, shoulder, both legs, and knees in a car accident in Seattle. I had difficulty walking for many months due to shooting pain in my knees, and I hired this firm to protect me during my recovery process. I finished all treatment in August 2022. It is very clear that this firm is incapable of taking responsibility for their actions and apologizing for their mistakes.
The lack of communication and negligence from this firm is deeply unacceptable and has caused me significant harm. I was then handed over to Rebecca LaLiberte the 'managing partner' to be handled and mitigated. It was clear immediately by her condescending tone that she did not take this case seriously and offered to 'set up weekly meetings over the next few months' as the case resolved and bills re-processed due to this firm's specific errors. I started to look deeper into the firm and ask questions around other firms as to their conduct and reputation. It is clear now that this is simply a high-volume firm and litigation adverse, meaning they try to settle cases as quickly as possible without consideration for the best outcome for their clients.
Even after I brought all this to their attention and they agreed to take 25% off the attorney fee, a slap in the face for the amount of time I have personally put in to get this case back on track. Rebecca LaLiberte, the managing partner, has now said to 'please move forward with filing a complaint with the Washington State Bar. We will cooperate fully with them and hold the remaining funds in trust.'

For quite some time, my significant other and I would go out to dinner after work on Taco Tuesday. Most of the time we would go to a little restaurant down the hill from our work, then later we started going to the Casino near our home. Well, one night during our dinner date his mother called and asked if she could come by the house for a drink, he explained we were not home and out to dinner at the casino. A little while later, she showed up! We finished our meal and drinks and went home. He knew I wasn't very happy about his mother crashing our date night, and to be honest, she does these kinds of things ALOT. A few weeks later she showed up again (knowing that we go out to this spot on Tuesdays) Next thing I know, my significant other decides to start inviting work colleagues to join us for Taco Tuesday, since his mother was a regular guest at this point. Fast forward a couple of weeks later, I told him why and how hurt I was by this and there really wasn't a response that made any sense. And I stopped going. For quite a while it was just him and his mom. The couple of times I did go, they just talked to each other about work and other things that I really can't contribute to the conversation. Making me the 3rd wheel. So, I decided to no longer go. This continued for a couple of months and eventually a few other work friends started to show up pretty regularly. Sometimes he would invite me to go, but I would say no. I have explained to him how upset it makes me that his mom hijacked our date night, and how upset I was that he started inviting coworkers to it as well. I have also explained to his mom how hurtful it was that she did that, and how I don't get much one on one time with him because of our kids busy schedules and our work life. She pretty much told me to get over it, they have been doing this for a while now and my pouting about it that isn't going to change anything. Fast forward to a couple of years later and this is still going on. It still hurts, but I just accept it now. Our anniversary was last Tuesday, he went to Taco Tuesday instead of coming home and celebrating our 14th Anniversary. I am absolutely crushed and haven't talked to him since Tuesday. I sent him a text saying how hurtful that was. He didn't respond and hasn't attempted to really talk to me about it either. What do I do? I am so heartbroken right now. I need advice.

Wondering if Iām able to sue my former employer for not doing anything when I told them a vehicle I was assigned to drive was faulty and unsafe? The side mirror on the driverās side did not adjust from the car controls and I tried to manually adjust it and it completely fell out. When I notified management of the situation they instructed me on how to replace the mirror and then said ādonāt touch it.ā However, I still was not able to check my blind spot or anything on that side with out damn near sticking my head out the freakin window.
Also, that same day I supposedly incurred many driving violations (mainly rolling stops, if that!), and my manager accused me of gross negligence. Gross Negligence is defined as consciously breaking the law so egregiously that you put other peopleās safety and lives at risk. I KNOW for a fact that I acknowledged every intersection I came up to and was aware of all the traffic around me. I did not deliberately blow through stop signs or anything. Iām looking to sue the manager who accused me of this for libel (written defamation).
I should also mention that I was fired a few days later for addressing my managerās false accusations. He was deliberately talking over me as I was trying to speak to him and plead my case, so I asked him to āshut the fuck up when Iām speaking.ā He fired me for that.

To sum my lovely self up in a few bits I'd say I'm an interesting person, not to use that saying lightly but I have many interests and hobbies. I really love music, for example. Here's a small list of the artists I've been listening to lately in no particular order:
The Damned, Joe Meek, Bauhaus, Chris Isaak, Pantera, Hank Williams, Serge Gainsbourg, Skinny Puppy, Killing Joke, The Cramps, Nick Drake, Prozzak, Slayer, Kiss, Fantomas, Tomahawk, Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, T. Rex, John Zorn, Type O Negative, Benny Goodman, and Sade.
I do play a few instruments (I'm not super gifted or anything - just dabble). Bass guitar is my preferred instrument of choice, but I play a bit of piano and guitar. I'm not in a band but I'd love to do that whole performing in front of an audience thing one day.
Other than music I read, write, watch films and meditate as often as I can. I enjoy walking in nature, driving (kinda involves me listening to music simultaneously ;p), and visiting museums or anywhere half interesting.
What I'd like from you is: Be roughly my age, but I'm not too bothered if you're a few years oldeyounger, just as long as you'd think we'd get along. Live locally to me - I'm in the South East, not far from Camberley (don't want to doxx myself lol). Just as long as you're kind of near there then it's all good.

I'm not great at writing these things, but here we are, right? I'm currently in a weird place with my poly identity - I ended a long term primary relationship last summer that I had put a lot of myself into, anyone I am dating is married and/or lives in another state - neither of whom are serious options, and most of the people who approach me these days are not looking for anything past FWB - For some this would be an ideal situation, for me not so much, and it feels weird to say I'm "dating with purpose" in this context, but I guess that's where I am. So I guess my point is, I feel like I'm much better at being an adult human when I have a primary partner, and miss having someone in my life who feels like home and who I can be that for as well.
Moving on, here's the about me: Big time comic book and general pop culture nerd. I'm 6'2", dad bod, sort of in my elder goth era, semi-heavily tattooed, beard, hispanic, home owner, fairly well employed, no kids/vasectomied, and pay my own bills, my only real vices are THC or a drink every now and then, but neither is a regular thing. I try to make time to go to concerts, check out restaurants and do Vegas-y things, I think I make a great piece of arm candy personally, definitely miss having a partner who wants to show me off and enjoys getting dolled up for a night on the town once in a while,, or doing silly fun things like coordinating outfits for an event. I enjoy travel like most people, I go to 2-3 comic cons per year, a good vacation is definitely great for mental health. Also love being a homebody, enjoy cooking when I have someone to cook for, have made my home into a cozy nest in general...in spring through early fall, any excuse to be in the pool or lay out near it is a good one. Some of the kindest things friends have said about me: "You're like, the only cis male in my life I don't wanna stab" "You're just like pure Daddy energy, dude" and "The brother I never wanted"
I was recently asked what my ideal relationship would be - and I thought I'd found it, but life happens! I know some frown on heirarchical poly relationships, but it's just what works best for me. Having my person, who wants to be with me and wants me to be with them and not having to have that feeling of insecurity or that need for constant reassurance, regardless of anyone else we may have in our lives. Something maybe not quite KTP, as that can feel forced at times, but definitely not a situation where we have to feel threatened by each others' relationships, and absolutely not a situation where we are always looking for greener grass elsewhere. And while I may not be vanilla, I'm not really super into any scene/lifestyle as far as that goes... I'm not against it, but prefer those types of things with a partner. I don't think I have a "type", really - but looking back, I do get along best with people who have a passion for some type of nerdy thing, I love being able to learn about those things and enhance those things for them as best I can. And one more thing - while I don't at all expect someone to be available to me 24/7, I need IRL connection, so I'd really prefer someone at least within a few hundred miles. So if the idea of long term anything, where we can talk regularly, and at least see each other a few times a month isn't something that can happen, I'm probably not your huckleberry, but I'm always happy to make new friends!

2023.03.25 01:53 SamuraiFungi Encounter Challenge Multiplier is...Mathematically Proven but Missing from Pathfinder 2e Guides?
If I search for Pathfinder 2e challenge multiplier or similar searches, I only find results from 2009 or earlier which are therefore from the original Pathfinder (not 2e) that discuss "CR" which I though was only for D&D but I'm not familiar with earlier Pathfinder. For D&D 5e, the DMG has a chart for how the number of creatures multiplies against the XP-based difficulty. For example, 2 creatures is multiplied by 1.5, and 3-6 creatures is multiplied by 2 and it gets even higher after that. So, as is also painfully evident from multiple experiences (and mathematically provable as I'll mention), the chart is "correct" and that it is "incorrect" to say that four Level 1 creatures is anywhere near as easy as one Level 4 creature.
I wrote and playtested an entire 5e campaign and I'm converting it to Pathfinder 2e and need help. I may end up using the multipliers from the D&D DMG, but Pathfinder should really have something like this. Maybe this is why Adventure Paths tend to kill characters and even cause TPKs (Total Party Kill) according to multiple experienced GMs online. So this is just me bored as hell going over each point of stats and feats, and why I believe who wins what. Note this is my thoughts but I'm open to debates, debunks, ECT. Both characters somehow have all perks, max stats, and the best weapons no matter the circumstances (all stats 20 V, special 10 Courier, ECT)
Strength: This one may need the most debate. Courier can fight the giant robot scorpion bare handed which can tank a mini nuke, where as V can fight Adam Smasher who can casually walk through a gravity field that crushes tanks. These two feats are so neck and neck, but I'm more willing to believe V is just barely weaker than Courier. Without gorilla arms. If V is given GA, he is given +6 to his body. That's a 30% Strength boost, and I think just barely covers the gap. So normally Courier>=V, but with gorilla arms V>Courier
Speed: This ones a much easier choice. While the courier does have Turbo to slow down time, it does not nearly compare to the sandevistan. With the best sandy, V stops time down to 10% and can casually dodge bullets. Turbo in comparison only makes it go down to 35% for only 3 seconds. V is then theoretically over 25% faster, and that's without mention of the dozens of speed perks you can give him. So V>Courier
Durability: This one is very tough. But a good part of me is going to give this to the Courier. Without any armor implants, he is capable of surviving mini nukes, giant surfboard sized swords, dozens of bullets, and massive robots. The courier can tank armor piercing rounds and such, but not to the same degree as the courier.
IQ: this is possibly a harder choice than strength. Both are amazing hackers at max intelligence, and each have different feats. Arasaka is like apple on steroids, and hacking them also runs the risk of them hacking you back. In the other hand, a terminal is the pinnacle of software protection and stops any and all hacking attempts unless you're the courier. I'm going to say this is a tie but if you disagree go ahead.
BIQ: Just as debatable as the last. Courier can be trained by the legion, NCR, brotherhood of steel, ECT. But V has upgrades that can instantly let you learn anything you want to learn. Not only that, but V is a champion boxer capable of fighting chromed up monsters who have been doing this for years. It's experience vs abilities in my eyes and I believe it's a tie.
Experience: Courier. Canonically older, has been living in the streets of the fallout world. Not close.
Abilities: I don't need to say V. Sandevistan, way way better enhancements, a second heart, bio monitors, the ability to instantly hack anything even smasher who has the peak of tech. This isn't close.

One could infer that one has a moral obligation to do "x amount of something," to cause there ideal world to exist or some policy to "happen," and if a person has x level of wealth, power, or influence and they don't do something to produce their ideal world or policy prescriptions they are doing something unethical.
The back and forth on this discourse has been had innumerable number of times, but since it's resurfaced, I believe for the exoneration of Hasan at least in this small regard, it is worth going over again.
So let's get the obvious points out of the way. Being socialist and being rich isn't a hypacricy. To make this argument, I need to make a couple of assumptions and build a couple key arguments.
1.) That Hasan would say he's a rule utilitarian (I think he's even said as much). Why do I make this assumption? Because everyone who isn't a cringe philosophy major whose been on this side of the internet is some sort of rule utilitarian. It's hard to be something else. Basically, that means you are concerned with the good outcomes of society but you understand rules need to exist in normal life because it's hard to see what the consequences of something might be and allowing too much discretion may be bad in aggregate. People need some basic rules. To see what happens when one is forced to guess too many consequences you can end up with a situation featured in the excellent television series The Good Place wherein characters are constantly performing evil actions inadvertently because they can't anticipate that driving the speed limit might have caused the person behind them to be late for a job interview which led to that person becoming impoverished, homeless, and die an early death of exposure.
2.) That Hasan (if pressed) would agree that capitalism isn't """"""inherently unethical,"""" but rather just produces worse outcomes than socialism. In other words it's just a spectrum of bad to ok to better outcomes. For reference this is the Vaush position. If pressed on the "no unethical consumption" meme, the answer is that bad outcomes might necessarily happen under any system. The goal is just to mitigate them with socialist policies that produce "more good points" and "fewer bad points." The phrase "inherintly unethical" is a phrase that ends up doing a lot of legwork in debates, but doesn't really make a meaningful statement when applied in this context. To draw a comparison, I could believe that any prison system will involve treatment of prisoners that I believe is unethical. However, I consider it a net good compared to no prison system (thus my participation funding society it is justified). I can also believe we should have a better prison system or a very different one. It's not inconsistent.
If all of 2 is granted (a big if for maximum salience DGGR's), I don't think it's fair to criticize Hasan on the grounds of involving himself in capitalism to a high extent. The more apt argument might be the one Ahrelavant goes for with Vowsh here.

This is more similar to Destiny's argument i.e. an obligation to "walk" rather than just "talk" given you have certain values. I think Vaush responds correctly. Hasan's job is as a political pundit. The talk is the walk. Advocating for socialism makes people more progressive. People who are more progressive vote more left leaning. That's a positive change in society in line with Hasan's values. Destiny's response to something like this argument is that all of that benefits Hasan personally, but I fail to see how this is relevant.
If one is outcome focused primarily why is the personal reason someone is doing something that relevant to the effectiveness of what they are doing or in any other way? If pressed, I don't think Destiny would say even a tiny fraction of actions are really altruistic in nature. Hasan is an entertainer who does some socialism. I fail to see what the problem with that is. It's the basic blueprint for almost all political or commentary content. The primary job is entertainment but advocating/ arguing for what you believe in is still important. All of the same arguments could be levied at nearly every content creator who believes strongly in anything. One could make criticisms of Chud Logic for having strong beliefs (which he has argued for in the past between the drama) but not going out every weekend to volunteer and fix them. Socialism doesn't have unique issues in this regard. "It's funny" isn't a good argument. Neither is "it's hilarious."
But what about Destiny's key defeater argument? "What is the difference between a capitalist and a socialist?" How can you tell a difference? To this, I'm not sure I entirely follow. Technically savvy and economically minded DGGr's can correct me, but capitalism is a very broad term that describes a set of government policies that structure an economy in a certain way. Socialism is a different set of government policies that structure an economy in a different way. Neither of these are real technical terms, and the exact manifestations/ definitions of each are as many as there are capitalists and socialists. In general the idea of socialism is that "workers own the means of production," which could mean a lot of things like
1.) All or most industries are nationalized in some way.
2.) All of the businesses are worker co-ops
3.) Some weird giant social wealth fund thing
The best understanding in my view is that if an economy has more nationalization of its industries and state control over personal wealth, it's more socialist. When private entities have more control over different industries, and there is less state control over personal wealth (lower taxes), that's more capitalist. With that understanding you can have mixed economies. Online socialists don't seem to like this, but it's the only actual definition that makes any sense and was provided by Dr. Edward Stewart in one of those great courses audio lectures I got on audible.

I'm not sure why there would ever need to be a personal difference in behavior between a capitalist vs. Socialist when both things describe a set of beliefs about government policies? How does that make any sense at all? Capitalism isn't a personal set of actions and neither is socialism. If you want to define a capitalist the way Karl Marx did, just know that no one uses the term that way and when someone says they are a capitalist that's not what they mean. Presumably a socialist and a capitalist would vote for different candidates or argue for different policies.
To wrap this up, I think the criticisms levied at Hasan about his wealth or level of engagement with politics are unfair. I don't think political pundits have an obligation to do something extra. Being an entertaining political pundit is their job. I fail to see what's wrong with that or what is unique about Hasan that merits him having extra obligations from other similarly positioned pundits.
One parting thought is that people often give progressives a difficult time on a meta level i.e. "shouting or being radical might turn others off to your cause." Personally, I hate these sorts of arguments as they doge the facts of the matter in favor for a copy pasted lazy proxy of an argument. I hate progressives as much as the next person, but I don't think you can say they are ineffective. The fact is being loud, obnoxious, unlikeable, and working to de-platform every other point of view does kind of work. Society has gotten significantly more progressive on almost all fronts, and the GOP is in shambles. This might have horrible long term consequences for our democracy, but I'm not sure "effectiveness" is the right argument to make. You might just have a different direction you want society to go in based on different values. So one might wonder if Hasan is more "effective" than we like to admit and not hypocritical. He maybe just has bad beliefs, like other radical progressives.

I'm not sure why there would ever need to be a personal difference in behavior between a capitalist vs. Socialist when both things describe a set of beliefs about government policies? How does that make any sense at all? Capitalism isn't a personal set of actions and neither is socialism. If you want to define a capitalist the way Karl Marx did, just know that no one uses the term that way and when someone says they are a capitalist that's not what they mean. Presumably a socialist and a capitalist would vote for different candidates or argue for different policies.
To wrap this up, I think the criticisms levied at Hasan about his wealth or level of engagement with politics are unfair. I don't think political pundits have an obligation to do something extra. Being an entertaining political pundit is their job. I fail to see what's wrong with that or what is unique about Hasan that merits him having extra obligations from other similarly positioned pundits.
One parting thought is that people often give progressives a difficult time on a meta level i.e. "shouting or being radical might turn others off to your cause." Personally, I hate these sorts of arguments as they doge the facts of the matter in favor for a copy pasted lazy proxy of an argument. I hate progressives as much as the next person, but I don't think you can say they are ineffective. The fact is being loud, obnoxious, unlikeable, and working to de-platform every other point of view does kind of work. Society has gotten significantly more progressive on almost all fronts, and the GOP is in shambles. This might have horrible long term consequences for our democracy, but I'm not sure "effectiveness" is the right argument to make. You might just have a different direction you want society to go in based on different values. So one might wonder if Hasan is more "effective" than we like to admit and not hypocritical. He maybe just has bad beliefs, like other radical progressives.

I'm not great at writing these things, but here we are, right? I'm currently in a weird place with my poly identity - I ended a long term primary relationship last summer that I had put a lot of myself into, anyone I am dating is married and/or lives in another state - neither of whom are serious options, and most of the people who approach me these days are not looking for anything past FWB - For some this would be an ideal situation, for me not so much, and it feels weird to say I'm "dating with purpose" in this context, but I guess that's where I am. So I guess my point is, I feel like I'm much better at being an adult human when I have a primary partner, and miss having someone in my life who feels like home and who I can be that for as well.
Moving on, here's the about me: Big time comic book and general pop culture nerd. I'm 6'2", dad bod, sort of in my elder goth era, semi-heavily tattooed, beard, hispanic, home owner, fairly well employed, no kids/vasectomied, and pay my own bills, my only real vices are THC or a drink every now and then, but neither is a regular thing. I try to make time to go to concerts, check out restaurants and do Vegas-y things, I think I make a great piece of arm candy personally, definitely miss having a partner who wants to show me off and enjoys getting dolled up for a night on the town once in a while,, or doing silly fun things like coordinating outfits for an event. I enjoy travel like most people, I go to 2-3 comic cons per year, a good vacation is definitely great for mental health. Also love being a homebody, enjoy cooking when I have someone to cook for, have made my home into a cozy nest in general...in spring through early fall, any excuse to be in the pool or lay out near it is a good one. Something maybe not quite KTP, as that can feel forced at times, but definitely not a situation where we have to feel threatened by each others' relationships, and absolutely not a situation where we are always looking for greener grass elsewhere. And while I may not be vanilla, I'm not really super into any scene/lifestyle as far as that goes... I'm not against it, but prefer those types of things with a partner. I don't think I have a "type", really - but looking back, I do get along best with people who have a passion for some type of nerdy thing, I love being able to learn about those things and enhance those things for them as best I can. And one more thing - while I don't at all expect someone to be available to me 24/7, I need IRL connection, so I'd really prefer someone at least within a few hundred miles. So if the idea of long term anything, where we can talk regularly, and at least see each other a few times a month isn't something that can happen, I'm probably not your huckleberry, but I'm always happy to make new friends!

Hello Insurance,
I am in the middle of a very stressful insurance claim and could use some insight on how to proceed from here.
To provide some backstory, I submitted a claim for an attempted theft on my 2013 Hyundai Accent in early January of 2023.
While the thief did not get away with my vehicle, they got their bodily fluids over nearly every area on the inside of my car. Blood and other substances were found soaked into the seats of the vehicle, headliner, and nearly every other panel in the vehicle interior. Furthermore, beyond the crippling ignition damage and smashed window that was caused, they left their used drug paraphernalia strewn about my vehicle and the odor from the substances was absolutely horrifying. In short, the vehicle was completely unfit for human occupancy (even in small instances) and was a biohazard. I quickly contacted Amica about this issue after filing a police report and they stated it would be several days before an assessor could look at my vehicle. The vehicle sat unsecured and completely trashed in the parking lot of my apartment complex while I patiently wanted to cater to them, during this time.
For reference, the vehicle (pre-claim) was not in amazing shape. It has fading paint all over, cosmetic damage to the exterior, and was well used with over 130,000 miles on the odometer. The Kelly Blue Book value of this car in perfect condition is approximately $4,000; my vehicle is nowhere near that state and worth far less. Upon assessment, despite my instance that the vehicle should be totaled, the assessor estimated the total cost of repairs in the realm of ~$1,200 dollars to remove all biohazards, replace the rear passenger window, and repair the steering column along with some other damages. To give you an idea of how far they went to avoid totaling my destroyed Hyundai, they quoted a rear-window replacement at $25.00 from a junkyard in a city that is over 150 miles from where I live. In what world does it cost only $25.00 to acquire a piece of glass and transport it 150+ miles and then install it? This exact process was completed for all listed repair items.
I was able to get my vehicle into a shop the week after the assessment. However, fast forward nearly three months later and my car has yet to be repaired. Meanwhile, I have had to pay out of pocket for a rental car and LITERALLY had to go out and purchase a new vehicle to stay financially solvent during this process. Amica did set me up with a rental car, however, another issue was encountered here. I pay for $1200 dollars of rental reimbursement on my policy. My total rental bill was $1145 dollars. Amica opted to only pay $960 of it due to ālength of rentalā (their words, not mine). In addition of having to purchase a new vehicle, I also still am making payments on the damaged vehicle that I cannot drive ,and do not possess (along with the monthly cost of insurance ā which is not cheap in Washington State). Amica has not reached out to me more than two times since this claim was opened to help get me through this.
What is my best course of action from here? My mom seems to think that I should be very aggressive with the insurance company on the phone, however, I am not so sure that being rude to someone I have never met will solve anything. Any advice or insight on this situation would be greatly appreciated!

2023.03.25 01:51 unlabled_files How selective is DCI?
I did color guard in all four years of high school but took a year off for college without realizing how much I would miss it. Now I found out the only drum corps near me are Santa Clara Vanguard and the Blue Devils. I'm planning on practicing next school year and building up my skills again. But I'm not sure I'd even make flag line in either of those big bands. Does anyone who's marched DCI know how selective their audition process is?

The GameStop near me had a pre-owned PS5 which in hindsight probably was a red flag.. I bought it, it kept crashing after an hour of playing so I went to return it and the guy working there told me that putting it on a table instead of (uncarpeted) floor would prevent crashing. I kind of got into it with him and he attempted to teach me what a vent was and how airflow worked. Even pointed at the top of the ps and said "look it's smooth". He finally gave me the refund after noticing my frustration and said "I never said I wouldn't refund it" even though we stood there for at least 10 minutes bc he wanted me to believe it was my fault the ps didn't work and not that GameStop sold me a pre-owned that wasn't fully functioning. For the record my brand new PS5 is sitting on the floor and functions totally normally for hours on end so... Got em

My gpu is at 100%, my cpu has a huge capabillity of working (around 40% at max), which means, my cpu is not bottlenecking anything and my gpu works as intended, since it trys to work the hardest to reach the maximum fps.
Never the less, no matter if the grpahic settings are high or low, the fps may reach a maximum with microstuttering (ie. kinda "lagging" with the picture output and periphery-input), or it doesnt reach any near-to-achivable fps (like 18-20) but with the same usuage of gpu and cpu as you can see above (so 100 and ~40).

My boyfriend has a friend who used to flirt with him. I've seen the text messages of him calling my boyfriend cute and talking about potentially being in a relationship together. I don't know if my boyfriend is actually this naive (really, I don't) or if he just likes attention and doesn't want to give it up, but he says he doesn't think the guy likes him in that way. I expressed I think he definitely is looking for romance with him, and bf catches the hint, tells his friend he's dating (we had only recently gotten together at that point) and the friend stops talking to him.
I was relieved, and they didn't talk for a bit after that or at least not that often, but they've gone back to talking again every once in a while. Tonight we talked on the phone and the plan was for him to take a shower and go to sleep right after that, since he has trouble sleeping. While we're nearing the end of our conversation he starts getting quieter. I say "Its starting to get late, you should probably shower now yeah?" and he responds "Yeah sorry, just texting with [friend]." I go quiet too, and for the next 10 minutes mutter a couple remarks about how late its getting to be talking to him. Then I tell him I'm leaving, and he says alright. I hang up without telling him I love him or good night like usual. I thought he might have gotten the hint but he didn't text me after that or try to stop me. He either didn't notice my feelings or just didn't care.
At this point even just the thought of it turns my stomach. I know what the guy wants and I just don't feel comfortable with this friendship. I want to just get out with it and say I do not want them speaking to each other anymore. But that's too jealous and controlling to say out loud. And also at the same time, its not like I can really control who my boyfriend talks to. For all I know I can say that, he agrees, but just continues talking to him without telling me. And honestly I'm afraid he'll just stop liking me if I start nagging him while the other guy seems like an easygoing breath of fresh air by comparison.
Is there anything I can do to drive them apart or speak my mind in a way that won't damage my relationship?

Hi everyone! I might be in the wrong place, but I'm looking for some guidance. I received an email notification on Thursday that I had new expenses to review on my corporate credit card. I have not used the card since October, so I promptly checked the charges and found out they were to the tune of nearly $3,000.00. I immediately went to my wallet to retrieve the associated card for the phone number. The card was gone. I tore apart my wallet and my entire purse. No card. I was able to find the phone number to report the card as stolen and the charges fraudulent. The charges, three of them, happened between 3:37 and 4:05 pm on Monday, March 20th. Gift cards, Mountain Dew and snacks were purchased in three seperate transactions at two separate gas stations. I called the local police department and they were very responsive. They went to the gas stations and found that it was two males. They were wearing face masks, the Covid kind, not ski masks, bucket hats and hoodies. They parked at an adjacent location both times. No car, no plates. However, I feel it's worth checking neighboring security camera footage for the car. Am I wrong? Can I request this on my own? I feel like the card was stolen from my wallet at work. The men on the security footage don't appear to be co-workers, so I think my card was sold. The police would not share the security camera footage with me because, "We can't just give this out." I'm not sure that's true? I'm the victim of a crime and I'm not sure I should just give up on this. What should I do next? Can I contact the gas stations myself to request the footage, then move on to neighboring businesses? I'm just not cool with shrugging this off.
