F(21) and M(21). For context we've been partners since high school. I graduated with an associates this semester but have been unemployed for 4 months. My partner on the other hand never completed college and has been working a minimum wage "dead end" job for 2 years. He tried college in high school but didn't enjoy it.
We both live with our parents but are very unfortunate such as living in section 8, food stamps and just withstanding horrid conditions. We are hardly privileged. Recently I've been staying over at his house more often because we don't like being alone.
The other day I wanted to use his restroom in the middle of the night. There's one bathroom in his family of 5 and it's only accessible through his siblings room. It was locked and when he couldn't open it he started breaking down crying.
When I asked him what's wrong he just said he's felt stuck at his home and that he's hasn't accomplished anything such as getting his drivers license or finishing college. He says whenever an opportunity sparks up he loses it. For example he has a huge passion for graphic design and would do free work for his job just to put himself out there, only to never set off.
I didn't give any unsolicited advice or solutions because when I asked he didn't want it. I knew I just needed to listen to him. He tends to shut off and not communicate when he feels upset.
Our support systems (family) is very poor, his especially. Our parents were very neglectful growing up. I don't know how to better improve our situation or give him confidence, it tends to backfire whenever I try (him shutting down).
The only possible solution I could think of is moving us out but at the moment I'm very undecided on whether to get my bachelors (would require me to be unemployed) or work full time. The idea of moving out for me is very new and if I happen to become independent a lot of government help I get would dissipate. I'm trying to take advantage of every service I have so there's a better outcome in my future, but it pains me to see my partner struggling.

When will Jagex finally fix those ping spikes that happen every day at 6pm-8pm BST? My regular ping on UK/GER worlds is 50ms Ping and every day literally at 6:00PM it starts slowly spiking up to 200-250ms PING with incredible lag spikes. I checked my Internet, did speedtests etc. tried other games, it only occurs in OSRS.
Also the ping on 1250-2200 total worlds are a joke, even when they are low populated, lag spikes occur every 5 ticks.
Will this be fixed one day or do paying Customers have to deal with this on a daily base?
It's just annoying when you come home from work and can't do any PVM with your friends if you have that ping, I also don't see myself wasting nerves on a game that should be fun.
Either there will be a fix soon or I just cancel my Membership sub.

Hello! I’m an incoming Interior Design student this year and I’d just like to ask your thoughts on my decision. I’m really having a career crisis because of “practicality”.
So ever since I was young, I found myself liking desingning. I’ve watched Tiny House Nation nonstop on the FYI channel as a kid which honed my interest in designing houses. I’ve always liked going to home depots than grocery shopping because I always imagined building my dream house. Since then, I’ve accustomed myself into choosing Architecture as my future course/career.
My parents approved it because ayun nga, malaki naman sweldo and such. And in terms of practicality, maganda ang Architecture. All these years whenever I was asked on what course to take, I would always answer “Architecture”. And I lived up to that answer until college applications season.
The problem is, I’m now at a point wherein I have to choose my career. My results for college applications came and I wasn’t accepted into any architecture course. In my current school though, if I choose to continue college here, I would have the freedom to choose any course I’d like to take; and that includes both Architecture and Interior Design.
As I’m battling my mind, I now felt like I was just saying I wanted Architecture because it is a “practical career path”. Typical more job opportunities and shi. I felt like It’s just my “default course”. I do feel na I had tons of crisis during college applications season kasi I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do most. And now, I feel like I don’t have the enough passion to pursue Architecture anymore. And I’m also afraid of the reputation Architecture in my school (in terms of ayun maraming irregular which was normalized)
I chose interior design in hopes of still pursuing designing. I’m still interested in designing, I wasn’t just sure if I wanted interior more than exterior. But what I’m afraid of this is I feel like everyone around me was expecting I’ll choose architecture. And I’m afraid that they’ll think I’m choosing a “less practical” course. when i was 15 and me and my family were seeking asylum and i was the only person who spoke english (barely), unfortunately i had to be in between so many workers and my parents, and i was scared of both parties and basicslly i was under a lot of stress. and a lot of workers treated us poorly and so often i felt like i was doing something wrong just by existing and that all those people i talked to hated me. im 21 now, i had many diff customer service jobs so im used to ppl being weird moody etc. but when im on the other side, like im talking to a worker i feel terrified but also feel like im being too much/ making them uncomfortable. like if i make a phone call and start with who i am im scared they think "why the hell is this person calling me" but if i start with why im calling im scared they think "who the hell is this". no matter what i say if they ask any follow up questions i feel ashamed that i didnt think to include that info in the first place. i also feel like bc im so anxious they can tell im anxious and it makes them uncomfortable or who wants to deal with an awkward person? and all of this makes me think im a burden to whoever i talk to while they are doing their job. because this is already in my mind, i interpret everything as negative, hypervigilance. but when someone really does treat me poorly im already in a im doomed mindset so i dont even fight back i just accept what i already thought was happenning, freeze until the interaction ends. i am not like this with friends, coworkers, customers, managers or other students etc. i still get anxious but its not this intense and i dont think i made anyone uncomfortable by existing at least.
this makes my life really really hard because i stress so much. there are so many resources books around intimacy etc but i honestly dont know how to act in formal settings to someone who is doing their job without getting triggered. i still get involved so its not so bad that im unable to do it. i just feel really really bad after. in my teen years, because my english was not amazing, the way people treated me made me feel like i dont know how to speak. but i know how to talk just in a different language. and i know how to talk in english now. but that feeling is still with me.

Atm I am 25, I am a sales trainer for a smaller company and make roughly 60k a year. I used to be a sales rep, but went to my CEO last year and told him we needed a formal trainer and i was the girl for the job and sure enough he bit but gave me basically a downstep of what i was actually pitching. So while it was still a win to have my company invent a role for me it was still a lose because I want more. We previously had a sales analyst position and I had pitched doing that previous role but having it also be the trainer for the company because we needed both, they nuked the analyst part and then instead of one full time trainer they made it part time trainer part time sales rep and made two of them. They did, however, have me write the entire operating procedure and the entire training manual from scratch for our company cuz we did not have either of those things previously so at least I got a cool resume builder out of it.
My job is EASY. I do inside sales and I can do it all in my sleep, every customer interaction is basically the same formula, its a lot of “hurry up and wait” and there’s nothing to actually do unless i’m actively interacting with a customer. I’m good at my job, I have a track record of hitting $1,000,000 in sales yearly and am very good at the training side of it as well.
Problem is, I hate sales and I want a job that is more challenging/fulfilling. I feel like i spend my day every day bored and waiting to go home and that’s about it. When I was writing the SOPs previously, I loved my work days every day. I was nonstop busy and the work felt fulfilling and it was engaging and I desperately want that back.
I have been doing some research into doing small scale farming as a career as I have loved gardening my whole life. Spent my childhood helping my mom keep our 1/4acre garden and now that I’m a homeowner myself, I have a giant garden of my own that I maintain every year. My husband and I are selling our house this summer as we’ve accrued almost 90k in equity from fixing it up over the last couple years (and thanks to the market explosion). Besides my current job i have several years experience retail/food management and a brief stint as a millwright apprentice and that’s it. No schooling past a single semester of college.
I enjoy digital illustration (primarily pixel art) and have always dreamed of turning that into a source of income as well.

So my instrument cluster behind the steering wheel failed while my wife was driving on the motorway a few weeks ago. The next morning it was working fine, but I reported it to my local dealer as it clearly is a concern. Internet searches suggest I'm not the only one.
My dealer's phone lines are down, seemingly for weeks (based on automated response). But their website has an online chat. So I walked through the issue and was promised a callback which I never received.
Since the IC was now working, I delayed following up. But this past week, it went off again. Phone lines still down (no idea), so reported it again through chat. This isn't a bit, it's an actual person.
Once more I'm still waiting for a callback. I've now reported the dealer to the Automotive Compliance. I'm just going to have to drive over there, seemingly.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if anyone cares really but i need somewhere i can share where people will understand.
As the title states I'm six weeks away from finally getting fully out. My childhood was complicated, my actual parents were heavily abusive so at 11 i was placed with my aunt and uncle (who had recently suffered a TBI, this plays a big part later on). At first this seemed like a godsent. I went to bed for the first time the night after that not having to blockade my door out of fear of someone busting in drunk to take the days anger out on me.
I knew when i moved in that they were JWs but being a kid i had no idea what that actually meant. Boy did I find out fast. I really wasn't into it at first but was terrified I'd be sent back if i didn't do what was asked (to be clear this was never threatened, just A personal fear) so i went to meetings, went out in service ect ect. By 12 i was an unbaptized publisher, at 13 i was baptized. I got really into it for the next 7 years. Fully on the ministry school and everything. At 18 things turned at home and i ended up being a caretaker for my uncle as my aunt couldn't handle it on her own anymore. That was fine, i really didn't mind helping out. But it soon became much more then that and by 19 i was handling his care 24/7.
This whole time i was being assured this is what Jehovah wanted and i was doing exactly what he wanted me to. That was until I started missing meetings and my service time fell off a cliff. I had made many friends over the years but as i missed more and more i noticed they distanced themselves from me to the point of ignoring my texts calls ect completely. I was left alone caring for an uncle (and at this point my aunt as well). At this point i felt completely abandoned. I was doing what i was told over and over was the right thing only to be punished for it.
As you can imagine around this time i started questioning things. I read the bible for the first time without having the watchtower to tell me how to feel about things, and very quickly i realized i didn't agree with it. Not only did it contradict historical evidence, i realized the God i had been worshiping was cruel. The "god of love" id been sold was a lie. The one I was reading about was a rageful vengeful god who murders children with bears, condones slavery and plans on killing BILLIONS of innocent people because they don't live exactly the way he wants.
At first i wanted to be wrong. I went to the elders with questions just to be told it's not our place to question him, hes righteous and i shouldn't dwell on it.
Around this time i had started making friends over xbox live. I truly believe they're the only reason I'm still here. One of them became the best friend I've ever had, I'll call him Tom here.
Tom had an extremely similar childhood to mine with a few differences, only he was raised JW and had an abusive mom.
We found each other as we were both going PIMO, and have stuck together ever sense. I know you're probably all sick of hearing things like this your whole life, but Tom really is my brother. I love him more then anyone else on this planet and would do anything for him and know that he would do the same.
We'll fast forward a bit here because my life was basically set on pause from 20-25. Taking Care of my uncle every day and spending what i have left on Xbox. Covid also hit during this time which definitely did not help things.
This brings us to about a year ago now. Tom brings up the possibility of me moving in with him in july of this year and helping him run his business. I was so happy i almost cried. There was A lot to do, there still is but the date is finally set in stone. In six weeks ill be free from this cult for good. I have no idea where to go from here. It feels like my entire life has been a waste until now (ill be 27 a month after i leave and feel like i haven't gotten to experience anything). But I can't wait for all the new experiences. Like my first Christmas and other holidays ect.
