Am I missing something?
Inflation keeps rising, and the BoE keeps on increasing interest rates, which become unaffordable for people at some point (personal to each mortgagee). Worse case scenario is people are forced to sell to clear their mortgage debt, or the bank takes the property.
In both cases, many properties probably get sold to unscrupulous commercial or private landlords at knock-down rates for quick sales, which restricts the housing market further for individual buyers, and they don't pass on savings to people they rent to to protect their own profits.
Those who already rent also have problems with interest rate rises as their landlords pass on those increases at the next opportunity.
Meanwhile, the cost of living is increasing most other places. Sure, energy prices have risen and the government's put in place some very limited measures to help with caps, etc - but people are still paying way more than they did, and they've now removed the additional cap and allowed energy providers to fiddle with standing charges and rates to continue to squeeze whatever they can out of people as the weather improves and energy use drops. They introduced a windfall tax, but then lots of loopholes that allow companies to get away without paying those windfall taxes, including if they "invest". Instead, the government could have increased taxes (and introduced permanent excessive profit taxes to all sectors), and then the government could use that to help with energy prices as well as deciding where and how to invest rather than leaving it to private enterprise.
Food and other goods have increased massively. For sure, this is in part due to increased costs - materials/ingredients, transport, etc, etc.
But clearly, there's also been a lot of bandwagon jumping - people hiding behind increased costs to make more money. This is evidenced by the rich continuing to get richer, corporations getting richer... But the average person having the biggest drop in living standards since records began, and the biggest gap between the average income and average house price since 1876.
And yet the BoE's increasing interest rates to try and stem inflation isn't working.
Why? Because a lot of people have already cut a lot of non-essential spending. They have little choice but to pay the inflated prices on housing, food, energy, transport, etc, etc.
Surely a much better way to control inflation would be to add strategic price controls?
Doing so should include rent price capping. With other goods and services, it seems a little difficult - because if you cap prices below what they cost to produce/provide, especially with rising costs, then that could cause companies to go bust. But there's maybe other ways to do it - maybe restricting profits (price above costs)?
Also, shouldn't we be considering dividends freezes or caps? Because those dividends often always seem to be paid - whether people are laid off, whether prices are increased... If there's less incentive to raise costs because the money can't be released to shareholders, would it help stem inflation?
I accept that none of these things are perfect solutions. Everything has potential issues, too. But what's happening now isn't working, and we need other solutions to help more people and not just serve to benefit the rich, the powerful and corporations? Sure, there will be balance points that need to be found - but carrying on as we are isn't working?

Also, I will try and outline the trouble that Clovis officers could find themselves in; ‘Nightmare on Flatiron Parkway’ coming to theaters near you!
(A) Equity Committee in place, any objections?!
It is now well established that the Equity Committee is an essential party to these proceedings. Only the OEC is capable of representing equity interests which are demonstrably being opposed by both the debtors and creditors.
Since the OEC opposition, Clovis has made numerous concessions and modifications. This clearly shows the need for adversarial proceedings against the debtor which have yielded results.
(B) Negative Ruca sale price
The debtors have made a crippling mistake by allowing Rubraca to be sold for negative dollars! This is something they cannot recover from, and puts the specter of fraud over the entire BK filing. Since they claim to have closed the sale they no longer have an avenue of somehow ‘adjusting’ the sale to take it into a Positive Ruca sale price.
There is an interesting angle here that ESTABLISHES fraud. Let me explain how.
The key question is about the timing of the decision to include Ruca inventory as part of the sale.
(C) ODAC debacle
FDA had clearly given Clovis two options, EITHER wait for OS data OR go in front of the ODAC. The OS data option was completely infeasible since data would take two years to mature and Clovis did not have that kind of financial runway. So really, ODAC was the ONLY option.
An ODAC presentation would have been something to look forward to considering the stellar PFS data. The whole reason that Athena results were delayed two times was because PFS was so strong it was preventing the requisite event related data. Considering that other front-line drugs were approved on the basis of PFS, it is a given that there would have been strong physician enthusiasm for Ruca.
In the above context, not going for ODAC is completely indefensible, and Pat and other officers can be NAILED on this point alone. Note that Gillian was one of the founders and she appears to have had a difference leading her to exit prior to BK. She needs to be deposed and held squarely responsible for this, unless she turns approver and throws Pat under the bus.
(D) Forensic analysis of expenses since Apr 2022
In my opinion the BK plan started getting crystalized after the fourth and final rejection of the share count increase proposal. Pat then had two goals: run down cash as much as feasible, and prevent regulatory successes that would value the assets higher.
First, we now know that Alix partners was engaged in the July timeframe to explore multiple options. How is it then that in September they entered a sourcing agreement with Isotopia? If cash conservation was the goal, how can one explain the money, time and effort spent on agreements like Isotopia? Was it that Novartis talks were in progress and Clovis was trying to preferentially spend money on FAP?
Second, why were strong headcount reductions not put in effect? This is such a simple and obvious measure to reduce the cash burn and I want to see the written documents where the cost benefit of this was explored and this option discarded. Instead, we had new requisitions being posted!
The interesting point is that Clovis is now publishing monthly results. We see that despite a headcount reduction of a fifth, revenue has not had a corresponding fall! This is the inelastic demand that I have previously written about. We now have DOCUMENTED PROOF that early headcount reductions would have prevented a spiral towards insolvency.
I believe that a forensic analysis of the accelerated spend since July, and comparing it to the prior quarter spending will yield interesting results!
(E) Excuse me, but your goose is cooked
The company officers need to realize that the game is up. They can flutter and flap all they want but their goose is cooked. The biggest mistake they made was to underestimate the equity opposition, and now they are in a predicament that they cannot extricate themselves from. I have a poor opinion of the lack of strategic vision of the debtors counsel, what was that name again, Twinkly, Far, and Galloping?!
Pat thought of us as sheep, that he would come to us saying ‘Your money is all mine’! Well, that’s when we sheep turn feral, grow fangs, and get in the mood to leave bite marks that are life altering!
I had previously written that four company officers deserve punishment, but now have changed my view to ALL officers. Why should board members get a pass, being responsible for oversight? We need to go after the whole bunch, with the possible exception of one or two approvers who are willing to sing like a canary.
(F) Equity is in a position of strength
We shareholders need to understand that our motivations are above board and can be presented in court. The entities opposing us are stronger than us but they have a corrupt agenda that they cannot state publicly on the record.
Can company officers admit in court that their hatred for retail investors made them act opposite to their fiduciary duties? No they cannot.
Can BP like AstraZeneca or Pfizer dare to stand up in court and state they wanted to neuter the competition in the PARP space? No they cannot, because the DOJ antitrust division is listening and they will be dragged over the coals.
Can the creditors open up that they actually have large short positions so their actual interest is share cancellation more than the full recovery that they claim to want? No they cannot.
These parties entered into this corrupt undertaking thinking that will pull levers behind the scenes and get away with the heist of the century. Well, sunlight is the best disinfectant. Now that the SEC and DOJ are fully involved, these behind the scene players will see the writing on the wall and gently melt into the hedges. The only party that will be left to take the full heat of our rage are the Clovis officers.
Considering the widespread fraud by Clovis officers, it is the Official Equity Committee that will be in the driver's seat going forward with the parallel and supporting effort from the DOJ and SEC. The OEC needs to closely guard the whistleblowers until the right opportunity. I’m looking forward to the DOJ Antitrust division becoming a party to the proceedings. We cannot have Biden’s moonshot cancer initiative on one hand, and on the other, a key oncology asset that promises to displace the SOC for Prostate (a cancer known for poor prognosis) to be rendered impotent (pun intended) in the hands of an insignificant overseas company.
(G) Two options for Clovis officers
Clovis officers need to realize that they cannot avoid the consequences of entering into bankruptcy fraud and the intent to eliminate equity. There is no getting around it. They need to figure out a way to minimize the punishment that is coming their way.
In this case, there is no financial impact to the officers. All that they are doing is allowing some BP to come in and give the proper valuation for the company assets.
The first course of EC should be to prove BK fraud in front of Hon. Judge Stickles. Some people here automatically think the judge is on Clovis’ side. That may be incorrect. It is not lost on the judge that Equity Committee approvals are exceedingly rare. On top of that, the DOJ and SEC are fully engaged. Makes her wonder about the fire when there is so much smoke.
In the unlikely scenario that we do not prevail with fraud charges at this first level, there is the three member BAP bench to appeal to. The benefit of those proceedings will be that OEC will be represented from the get-go, and will be able to inform the bench about the seriousness of this case containing antitrust issues.
In parallel, a class-action can be started. There is a rich $50 mn. corpus that is available. I can imagine law firms falling over each other to get to a $20 mn payout to fully prosecute these crooks, including criminal charges. When there is a jury trial with everyday people like us who have lost our investments, that is when the full punishment will be given out.
If the fraud is proven within two years of the BK (more than enough time), the Ruca assets can also be clawed back and correctly sold in the market, making for even more recovery.
Make no mistake, if the company officers make it harder for us to corner them, our punishment will also be that much harder when we do corner them. By the time we are done with them, they will feel like a chew-toy in a cage of Rottweilers.
I’m hoping that better sense will prevail, and the company officers will ‘choose wisely’. But I have a feeling they won’t. Bring it!!

So the company should charge for inventory considering that creditors are waiting for recovery. The company did not do so. It, of its own accord, chose to GIVE AWAY inventory for free. - Before the auction: If the company was planning to include inventory of $100 mn in the sale, then there should have been a corresponding bid minimum. Since that was not done, we are in a laughable scenario that the company is holding out a hundred dollar bill and singing like a carnival barker ‘Sixty, sixty, do I hear a sixty five, seventy, sold for seventy’. Really?? CLEAR FRAUD.

I'll try to keep this short, but there's so much so please comment any questions. My bf and I have an apt through a govt housing program in NV. His friend is homeless and we let him keep a bag here. We never let him and his gf sleep here. 6/04 my bf, him and his gf go out but bf calls me that he attacked them and to lock the doors/windows. I hid in the bedroom. He started banging on the door and screaming. I told him to stop, back away from the door and wait for my bf. As I was texting them what I said he breaks the window with a rock. Me and my bf called 911 and I went into the bathroom just in case. They both have warrants so they grabbed their stuff and ran. Cops came and gave me a red card the landlord needs to fix the window, but they didn't even come up to my apt to look at anything? I gave the LL the card and she said while she would fix it we're responsible for paying her back because he was a guest? That this was a violation she could kick us out for and her man jumped in that if we got kicked out here they'd kick us out of the whole program and we'd never get help again. But then said she'd give us one more chance. Also that someone would board it up Monday morning. I sent the guy and his gf a text that if they even stepped foot in the gate I'd be calling 911 again and had to do so 9 more times. He keeps coming back to threaten us or tries to bait my bf to meet him somewhere. He has all his stuff so he has no reason to come here. The cops are saying their hands are tied until LL tells them to trespass him. She's saying they need to catch him on the property for her to trespass him. Also she had written notice of the window by noon 6/04. I called her today after no text back and she said she thought it was already done and would call right away to have it done now. At 6pm we texted her it wasn't done and no reply. We have our blinds taped to the wall and the fridge pushed against where the window used to be right now. And the cops last night had us move our dresser to block the bedroom door when we "sleep" at night.

Social media has been filling my feed with all kinds of stuff this month about ADHD + fibromyalgia, POTS, connective tissue disorders, hypermobility, IBS/IBD, psoriasis, even being tongue tied, etc.
Is it worth mentioning to my doctor any of this? Like, if I’ve made it this long without dying from it, it’s probably fine, right? ….right?
I’ve had IBS since middle school (complete with vasovagal syncope—yay which was brought up to docs numerous times growing up, but I never took a dump in front of my doctor so I never fainted on the toilet in front of my doctor, and since they never SAW it happen, they assumed my mom and I were just being dramatic).
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in early college, took meds off and on and ultimately decided they just weren’t right for me after a few years.
My SIL was diagnosed with dysautonomia a few years back and all the symptoms she struggles with, I noticed I’ve experienced since I was a child—most notably the intolerance to temp changes and getting overheated at the drop of a hat (then being stuck feeling like garbage with a nasty headache the rest of the day).
I’ve always had dizziness/tunnel vision when standing after sitting a while. I’ve just learned to be really mindful of my posture and movements, like knowing better than to bend down to tie a kindergartener’s shoe at school or else I may start to black out upon standing and land on top of the poor child.
Today I made sure to check my heart rate on my Apple Watch every time I felt dizzy (aka every time I’ve stood up) and it’s jumping to 120-130+ bpm immediately when standing up from resting position.
If my blood pressure gets weird and suddenly drops, I know to just find a place to sit ASAP and remain completely still until it passes so that I don’t lose consciousness (especially in public—ain’t no strangers calling an ambulance for me to spend the rest of my life paying off!).
I am hypermobile, but not to the extreme of suffering dislocations or anything.
My tongue tie was never corrected as a child (though, my scary dentist always mentioned that and my upper lip frenum at every appointment and said he could get rid of my lisp if my mom gave permission to snip them…how terrifying as a child lol), but I’ve learned to compensate for my lisp. I do live with TMJ and a terribly audible popping sound in my jaw when I eat or chew gum now…wonder if they’re related.
I guess what I’m saying is…isn’t it kind of weird to just drop all this on my doctor now after dealing with it most of my life?? Would diagnosing anything really help, or just give me more doctors to see?
Only thing I’m currently treated for is psoriasis and ADHD, because while I can for the most part mask all the other symptoms, having noticeable bald spots and plaques all over my scalp and eyebrows was affecting my life enough to say something about, lol. Is it worth mentioning to my doctor any of this? Like, if I’ve made it this long without dying from it, it’s probably fine, right? ….right?
I’ve had IBS since middle school (complete with vasovagal syncope—yay which was brought up to docs numerous times growing up, but I never took a dump in front of my doctor so I never fainted on the toilet in front of my doctor, and since they never SAW it happen, they assumed my mom and I were just being dramatic).
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in early college, took meds off and on and ultimately decided they just weren’t right for me after a few years.
My SIL was diagnosed with dysautonomia a few years back and all the symptoms she struggles with, I noticed I’ve experienced since I was a child—most notably the intolerance to temp changes and getting overheated at the drop of a hat (then being stuck feeling like garbage with a nasty headache the rest of the day).
I’ve always had dizziness/tunnel vision when standing after sitting a while. I recently watched a video by Louis Rossman where he talked about payment providers that retain transaction fees when a customer requests a refund and because this transaction fee is a percentage it can cause real problems for small businesses who need to accept lots of returns/ refunds, eg clothes websites etc. In the video they mentioned that PayPal, Square and Stripe all do this.
My problem is that I have created a WooCommerce website for a customer and I want to recommend them a payment provider that won't make it hard for their business to offer returns. Please could you recommend a payment provider that doesn't retain the transaction fee, is reliable and integrates with WooCommerce ?

So I need a new laptop and I'm well into Apple's ecosystem, hence I'm definitely thinking MacBook. My current MacBook just broke, and repairing it would not be cost-efficient (it was 6 years old).
Now, I don't need too much power as 99% of my laptop usage is:
- Microsoft Word
- Google Chrome (often with 10+ tabs)
- Mail, Calendar, Notes, Tasks...
- A dozen of third-party apps that are all very simple and light (e.g. What's App, Skype, Spotify, Twitter, Kindle...)
I had a 1st gen touch bar MacBook Pro, and I never had power issues, and maybe it was a bit of an overkill (indeed its software capability outlived its keyboard first, and now its monitor).
So I'm thinking MacBook Air, but again, not sure which one. M1, M2 13, or M2 15? And which one specifically? I heard there are different options and configurations that can change a lot.
Am I right to think that nowadays MacBooks have a lifespan of 5-6 years on average regardless of the software, so it doesn't make sense to pay for too many specs for future-proofing unless you need them? So I have a family member who LOVES to info dump. I totally get it. I get the urge sometimes, but usually am stopped pretty quickly with the thought of “this person doesn’t care and I’m bothering them.” So over the last few years, I try very hard to make everything more concise because I know in the past I’ve had the problem of being long winded. However, when other people do it to me, I typically try to listen as best as I can, ask questions, and not be dismissive.
Anyways, one of my family members in particular (who is not diagnosed, has no clue what info dumping is but I am pretty sure they’re on the spectrum based off of having to be around them often) has a special interest in our families ancestry. While I do find it interesting, I am also being sent paragraphs upon paragraphs of information. Which is fine… I know I don’t have to respond immediately (or at all). But for the most part I do try to skim through the texts and ask a question or two or say something to the effect of wow that’s interesting. This isn’t the only topic this person info dumps with, but it’s definitely the current obsession.
My main issue isn’t really even the info dumps themselves. It’s the fact that if I tell this person about anything I’m interested in or what’s going on with me, they usually don’t return the same energy I give them. They expect me to read paragraphs of info randomly sent to me, but if I tell them 3 sentences of information that isn’t something they personally care about (in person), their reaction is SO lackluster and they’ll often change the subject to find a way to relate anything to their special interest.
I will be complaining about work and the person will quickly start going on a tangent about all of the jobs they used to work at. And it’s not quite in a way of “I relate to that, here’s my story, now let’s circle back to you.” Same thing if I talk about literally almost anything regarding myself or people in my life.
I’ve addressed it in the past, but it’s usually been in the heat of the moment and since I’m a much more calm and collected person lately, I just let it go. I’ve told this person in the past that I feel like they’re not listening to me, don’t care, or will occasionally ask “but what does that have to do with what I’m talking about?”

Nice opening shot of water tumbling over the rocks as Dylan, a local boy, paints with Laura and Albert watching on. He paints portraits of nature and the water and things like that. He’s a regular Bob Ross! Dylan mentions of a dream to see the ocean as he promised his late father. Later at home, Dylan is working on a painting when he gets a nosebleed. Mom notes that’s the third one this week, so a trip to Doc Baker is in order. The next sequence is incredibly sad as Dylan is diagnosed with leukemia and Mom has trouble digesting the news. Dylan has met up with Laura and Albert outdoors again and announces plans to go see the ocean. On the way home, Albert informs Laura he will accompany Dylan. Laura wants to do the same but has some lingering doubts, so she asks Pa in the “What would you do if you had a month to live, I’m asking for a friend’ variety. Laura is now onboard with Albert in running away. If you’re going to run away, you call the experts.
CARRIE SCREEN TIME ALERT! Carrie finds a letter in one of her birthday presents and starts to read it. That’s a pretty ingenious way of getting Carrie to say her lines, actually. Laura stuffed a note in there about running away. The kids enlist the help of an older guy named Zeke to distract the rather angry train employee so they can illegally board the train to stow away. If the train employee isn’t scary enough, the threesome are quickly joined by another stowaway who looks like he’s on something. He steals their sandwiches, then a little later he makes a play for Dylan’s art case. I’m not sure if he’d be interested in art supplies, but Albert refuses to hand it over. The guy then tries to shove Albert off the train (!), but Laura pushes him off instead and helps Albert back on to the train. Charles catches up with Zeke, who blabs about where the kids are headed. Charles bops over to Hertz Rent-A-Horse and makes use of a train stop to catch up with the kids. Charles threatens whoopings for all of them. CHARLES INGALLS THREATENS TO BEAT OTHER PEOPLE’S TERMINALLY ILL CHILDREN! Dylan doesn’t want to go back. Charles tries to dissuade him, but quickly finds out it’s rather pointless to try and talk someone out of fulfilling their dying wish. CHARLES INGALLS HELPS CHILDREN RUN AWAY! Charles doesn’t have the money for a train (shock), so….CHARLES INGALLS ILLEGALLY BOARDS TRAINS AND HELPS CHILDREN TO STEAL!
The next morning, Dylan and Albert are the first ones up. Dylan mentions he’s hungry, so Albert goes over and cons a different train employee out of sandwiches, apples and milk. Charles is up by the time Albert returns and Pa gives his son what can best be described as a light slap on the wrist for stealing. Charles is all “well you stole the food, we might as well eat it.” CHARLES INGALLS KNOWINGLY USES STOLEN PROPERTY! Once again, meal time is interrupted, this time by the angry train employee from earlier. Charles actually thinks he can reason with him and justify the stealing, which is really stupid when you think about it. The train employee starts the eviction process, but…CHARLES INGALLS BEATS UP PEOPLE FOR DOING THEIR JOB AND ALMOST KILLS A MAN IN FRONT OF HIS CHILDREN! Charles actually wins a fight for a change. Must be a blue moon out. Pa lays it out very clear, saying he will pay back the money for the stolen food (but not the stolen fare!), and tells him nothing’s gonna stop them from seeing the ocean. I personally think they should have spit flying from Charles’ mouth for effect just like in the Grange-Chicago episode, but it still gets the point across.
The next morning, the quartet arrive in San Fran, just a few miles from their destination. They don’t seem to be in any particular hurry, stopping at the local mission for soup. Charles manages to hitch a ride with some guy I’ve never heard of named William Hearst or something. En route to the ocean, Charles holds Dylan’s hand and strokes the side of his face. Wha? Ah, the William Hearst guy owns a newspaper and wants to use Dylan’s story and offers to pay Charles for it. Charles declines, apparently thinking he has a magic transporter that will whisk them all away to the Grove when this is over. After some coaxing, Charles eventually accepts the money, though we never get to see if he makes good on his word to pay for any of the things he stole. And what happened to that horse? Anyways, Charles carries Dylan, who looks like he has taken a turn for the worse, to the Pacific Ocean (wouldn’t the Atlantic have been closer to Minnesota?) One has to wonder if that’s the ocean or just a collection of tears Charles has cried throughout this series. But I guess I shouldn’t make fun since Dylan gets his wish and now you’ll have to excuse me, because I have something in my eye.
THE JERRY SPRINGER FINAL THOUGHT -- This is my all-time favorite episode, which made it my all-time favorite review to do. A mixture of adventure and drama that blended well together. Sad, but with as happy of an ending that could be expected under the circumstances. Dylan was never seen or heard from again, although (sadly) the actor that played him -- Steve Shaw -- did die relatively young via a car accident in 1990. Charles committed crimes left and right, although he has that uncanny knack of bringing you over to his side of thinking. And Albert was a master con artist and grifter by this point.

I downloaded 2 plugins and now I'm trying to manually add them to the correct folder. I watched videos and a tutorial from the official Apple website and it said go to "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components" and put the corresponding file in that folder, but that directory does not exist.
I've previously downloaded plug ins but when I did it with those, I officially installed it onto my Mac and then Logic automatically detected it. With these two i just downloaded a file, there was no official installation and I cant find the directory that it goes in.
In finder, on the left side there isn't even a SSD or HDD section, just favourites, icloud, locations and tags which is also confusing

Great catch, right? The seller and I agreed that I would get every single LPS from the lot and did not mention any faults on the LPS. I asked for better pictures beforehand to ensure that I understood their condition and that none were missing, but the seller said they already packaged them beforehand ( I trusted them because of their good rewievs ). I was especially keen on the pets in the second picture, a cat, a dachshund, a collie and cute LPS in general. When the package came, half the LPS - especially the ones I was keen on - were missing and every LPS I recieved was damaged, rusty and covered in paint,ink and highlighter. Really not looking forward to cleaning them. Obviously the seller didn't acknowledge any of these claims. I offered the seller a return shippment of this disgrace on their dime. They refused and mockingly wrote: ,,Let's see if I'll get everything back.", wanting me to pay for the return shippment. Red Flags, i thought. They might try to turn this around on me and claim I took the LPS out and damaged the rest. I had to file a case with the police ( policy of this selling site. If you are scammed, they only investigate further once you make a complaint to the police. ) Then the seller tried to refund me 10€ for the filthy state in which they came, still not acknowledging the damage and the missing LPS. They also filed a police report ( no idea with what claim😂 ) after me not accepting the offer and the platform closing the case in my favor. End of story: the platform sided with me and refunded me the money back. I don't have to worry about sending the package back since the policy of the platform states it that way and it wasn't just a light discrepancy, in which case the platform instructs you to ship it back to the seller on their cost, it was full on malicious scamming. Yay, almost free, damaged LPS. I now always videotape the opening of my packages. |

The brief story is he has now walked out on the family, he said he “deserves a break” from being a full time father and so he upped and left, forcing my family to take holidays and such to cover childcare. She already gets 15 free hours for her 2 year old but she works full time from the office.
He now, after a week, has demanded the children are his responsibility as he wants to live in a council property as their main parent. He has not applied or been accepted for this and is fully able to work. He is fairly abusive to my sister, a manipulator for certain, and she is now taking sick days in the fear he will do something rash.
My questions are, if she was to want her children full time and still work does she have options? (Childcare assistance from family is not a long term option.)
If she quite work to be a full time mother, does she have options until they are of school age?
