2023.06.02 00:27 okdepend Being really needy with my friends post breakup

I (28m) have never been a very clingy person. I'm usually quite self contained, happy to have a weekend in if everyone is busy, no drama, no fuss.
6 months post breakup (8 year relationship). Moved back to my home city where I have a good supportive group of friends. I live alone now, after living with my ex doe 5 years.
I find myself being unbelievably clingy for my friends' time, in a way I've never been like before. I'm constantly asking them if they're free, constantly trying to organise things, clearly absolutely terrified of spending a weekend alone.
I see them all the time, but I dont have many new friends outside of that group so if they're busy I'm screwed. They're all in relationships and understandably want to have chill weekends at times, but they seem to get very anxious and seem to dread telling me that they're busy when I ask if they're free. I totally understand and have no issue with them being busy, but their level of remorse in telling me that they're busy made me realise that I'm very demanding of their time and they know I have no one else to hang out with, and I hate to have put that kind of pressure on our friendships and I'm scared of overburdening them to the point where I become a big awkward presence.
I know the cause - I'm scared of being alone after a long relationship.
I know the solution - be at peace with spending time alone and/or find additional friends and branch out a bit.
But how the hell do you make new friends as an adult!? Has anyone else also experienced being uncharacteristically clingy and demanding on their friends post breakup?
More of a rant than a question I know.

2023.06.02 00:27 CLandMan1123 I created a toxic marriage.

My wife and I have been together for 7 years since we met in college. We only got married about 8 months ago. Throughout our relationship I have been emotionally abusive, I have belittled her and I have created an entirely stressful home life for her. The worst of it is at one point, in the middle of an argument where she was about to walk out the door to leave, I grabbed her... I had no idea what love really meant. We have been going to counseling for a few months, and we separated 3 weeks ago while she figures out what she wants to do. Although it's taken this to get me here, I now know exactly the type of monster and terrible person I have been to her. I know I need to shower her unconditional love and I have realized that my anxiety took over many times and brought out the worst in me. We have some incredible chemistry when things are good and I truly think we're perfect for each other, but I really damaged her with my behavior at times. I wish I could take it all back. I love her more than anything and I am absolutely positive that I can completely change for myself and our marriage. I have reflected on how shitty of a husband I was and I know how I need to be moving forward. Unfortunately I'm afraid at this point it is too late. The other day I asked her if she would be open to staying separated while we continue couples therapy. That way it helps take the pressure off of an immediate decision and she can see if I'm really going to change. I also told her that this therapy should be exploratory to see if we even SHOULD be together. She's giving me an answer tomorrow and I'm gut wrenched. Im so upset with myself, sad and hurt for her, worried about the future and most of all I just want her back in my arms to tell her I'm sorry for everything. The way I see it, I want to kill our old marriage and start anew with my new understanding of life and love. I hope she gives me that chance. She's perfect and I can't lose her. Is there anything else I can do to save this marriage and make sure I make a lasting and complete change for her? I'd move the world for this woman and I'm so so upset with myself. I just wish I saw what I was doing earlier.

2023.06.02 00:26 imtryingmybes- Why is every space with men just so casually misogynistic?

Why is every space with men just so casually misogynistic?
Basically the title. I am so tireddd, nothing is out of bounds for men who just keep denigrating women over and over. This may be the tamest example and probably not the best one, but its one of the many times I’ve seen men being absolutely misogynistic for no reason, and to think these people are applying to become the backbone of our country’s bureaucracy . No space on reddit which is not female dominated is a safe one for women, because even if they’re not actively hostile towards women, their language, their jokes, their casual ignorance, the constant self-proclaimed invisible oppression. By god. Yesterday I made a subreddit for fragrances for women marketed perfumes and I had to explain myself so much in the general forum. I was just tired of seeing men being incel-like on that general sub and the ratio of female to male posts, and I was getting downvoted without even mentioning sexism; and this man tries to tell me that I’m getting downvoted because people are afraid of that imagined hypothetical space becoming twox-like. Its insane how men are so scared of being treated in one sub the same way women are treated LITERALLY EVERYWHERE and the fact that it does not register in their heads is so frustrating. My mental health is in shambles because when I open insta reels, if there’s a woman, I can almost predict what the comments are going to say and it keeps getting worse day by day.

2023.06.02 00:26 sightinquiry Edible tear away flesh prop?

Hey hey! I’m doing SFX makeup on an upcoming horror short film with cannibals. I need to make tear away flesh that can to some degree attach to the body, and tear away. I want the top to look like skin, and the underneath to be bloody and chunky and stretchy. I know how id make this if it wasn’t to be eaten, but I don’t have many ideas other than taffy to make this so that the actors can tear it off and eat it on screen. Any suggestions/ideas/tutorial links? (It doesn’t need to look too pretty or realistic, just campy and exaggerated. The things I need the most help with are what can look like fake skin, and what can be stretchy and drenched in my mint edible fake blood)

2023.06.02 00:26 cheezyguy6 Idea for an art project

Idea for an art project
I am unfortunately not talented enough to do this myself, but if any of you have the skills to take this on I’d love to see it happen.
These are images of Joseph Smith in his Nauvoo Legion uniform. He wore this on almost a daily basis from 1839-1844. He gave himself the rank of Lieutenant General, one rank above major general, traditionally the highest rank at the time. The last person to use the rank was George Washington, and it would not be used again until the Civil War.
The project is to use original art or photoshop to create an image of each church president since Smith in a high ranking uniform of their time period. For instance, Brigham Young dressed as Ulysses Grant, Joseph F Smith as John Joseph Pershing, George Albert Smith as Douglas MacArthur, all the way up to Nelson as Mark A. Milley. I think it would provide a context for how Joseph saw himself in Nauvoo by bringing that idea into the present day, and create a statement about how militaristic our ancestors were, and many Mormons still are.
Anyone interested in giving it a shot?

2023.06.02 00:25 moon_lovers143 I don't know what to do now ._.

I saw this boy for the first time around mid-October during the first semester of uni. We sat on the same 2 pm bus to a certain campus and he was sitting somewhat across from me, facing me (if that makes sense). I didn't think much about them until I started seeing them more on campus by coincidence. During my second encounter with them, I was saying goodbye to my best friend as she got on a bus to a different campus for her next class. I was considering whether to take the bus behind her to go to a different campus because I just wanted to see a different scenery. Then, as I was walking to that bus behind the bus that my friend just got on, I made eye contact with that boy because he was sitting in the front seat of the shuttle bus. When we made eye contact, I could see his eyes dilate and I knew at that moment that we both recognize each other (I was standing outside the bus and didn't get on the bus as I was feeling overwhelmed with butterflies in my stomach). The 3rd time we met by coincidence, I was once again waiting to get on a bus and coincidentally he was on that same bus. However, this time, he purposely moved to a two-seater and was sitting on the seat next to the window. Right after, he kept looking at me and smiling at me. However, too many people needed to get on the same bus as me, so I couldn't get on that bus. Since then, we would meet coincidentally on campus while I was waiting for a bus or walking to my next class. Every single time, I would notice that he would sneak a peak at me, or we just both look at each other with our eyes dilated. I'm an Aquarius and I'm introverted, so loving him from afar already made me feel overjoyed and made my day. Even tho idk anything about him including his name as I've never talked to him before, his existence was enough to make me happy and make me want to continue living in the hopes of seeing him again. After hearing the news of Astro Moonbin's death, I finally made up my mind that I'm going to bring up the courage to confess to him because a thought occurred to me. The thought was, "What if he was always smiling like Moonbin, but actually struggling with life and maybe even considering suicide?" If that were the case, I want to be someone able to help him out and prevent him from committing suicide because I really like him. Although we only had two weeks left of uni as finals week was coming up, during the last week of classes, I finally bit the bullet and confessed my feelings to him. I said, "I have something that I've been meaning to say to you for a long time. This may be cringy but bear with me for a moment," I took a deep breath in, and with my voice extremely trembling while trying not to crack my voice or cry in the process, I told him "I like your smile and I think you're really cute. l hope you do well with your finals, I hope you have a great summer break, and I just hope life goes well for you in general." After that confession, we had some small talk, I asked him for his Instagram, and a few hours later he followed me back. A few days after I confessed, I decided to dm him on Instagram about how I wanted to get to know him better. He replied back to me in a week or two telling me he was not ready to get to know me because he was struggling with his mental health and needed a break from social media. However, he did wish that I have a good summer and do well on my finals. I liked his reply and I replied by telling him I'm glad he was taking the time to take care of his mental health, I understand him socially isolating himself because I've done that several times in my life before. I sent him the "sending a virtual hug" gif, and two days later he liked my reply and sent a simple sentence reply thanking me for my support and the smiley face with tear emoji. I sent him a simple sentence back saying "that's the least I can do" and that's the end of our interaction.
It has been a month and now I'm starting to overthink. I legit don't know what to do now. I know there are still 2-3 months of summer left, but when the summer ends, should I dm him to ask how his summer went/if he feels better, and if he could send me his schedule for the upcoming fall semester? What if I bump into him again coincidentally during the upcoming fall semester? Should I say hi to him? Should I wait for him to reach out to me? Should I let this go? But for some reason, I just can't let this go and I have a feeling that there is still hope deep down inside my heart. I've had a few crushes in the past, but I've never had one where deep down in my heart I can't let them go. None of my past crushes would smile at me on their own if we bumped into each other (I never talked to them before too). The many coincidental encounters made me wonder if they are my destiny/fate/soulmate because as the saying goes "if you meet someone a second time that's a coincidence, but a third time is fate/destiny." I know I may be delusional about this, but I can't stop thinking about them. Legit I don't mind being friends with him and if I'm not the one. If they're in a genuine relationship where that other person makes them smile, even if it's not me, I would genuinely be happy for them (I mean I would be a little hurt that I can't be the one, but still overall happy for them). I just want to be someone that's part of their life that can make them smile even if that means being just friends. Legit, I'm willing to risk my all just to see them genuinely happy. Please help a girl/hopeless romantic out! T-T

Essential Smart Home Devices and Systems
Here are some essential smart home devices and systems to consider when setting up your smart home:
  • Smart hub: A smart hub is a central control unit for your smart home devices. It connects and integrates various devices, allowing you to manage them through a single interface or voice command.
  • Voice assistant: A voice assistant, such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, enables hands-free control of your smart home devices. Simply speak commands to control lights, thermostats, entertainment systems, and more.
  • Smart lighting: Replace traditional bulbs with smart bulbs or switches. These can be controlled remotely, scheduled, and even dimmed or customized for different lighting scenes, providing convenience and energy efficiency.

When choosing smart home devices and systems, it's important to consider your specific needs and priorities. For example, if you're looking for a way to save energy, you might want to prioritize smart thermostats and smart lighting. If you're looking for a way to improve your home security, you might want to prioritize smart security systems.
It's also important to choose devices and systems that are compatible with each other and with your preferred voice assistant. This will ensure you can easily control all your smart home devices from a single interface.
With a little planning, you can create a smart home that's both convenient and secure.
10 Tips for Creating a Smart and Efficient Home
Creating a smart and efficient home not only enhances your lifestyle but also helps you save energy and increase convenience. Here are 10 tips to transform your home into a technologically advanced and environmentally friendly haven:
Tip 1: Automate Your Lighting for Energy Efficiency and Convenience
Enhance energy efficiency and convenience in your smart home by automating your lighting. With smart bulbs or switches, you can effortlessly schedule lights to turn on/off, adjust brightness, and create customized lighting scenes for any occasion. Motion sensors can also detect empty rooms and automatically switch off lights, minimizing energy waste. Take control of your lighting with voice commands or smartphone apps, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. Embrace automated lighting to save energy, simplify daily routines, and set the ideal ambiance in your home.
Tip 2: Streamline Your Entertainment System with Smart Controls
Transform your entertainment experience by streamlining your entertainment system with smart controls. With smart devices such as smart TVs, streaming devices, and sound systems, you can simplify the way you access and enjoy your favorite shows, movies, and music. Control your entire entertainment setup using a single remote or voice commands through your smart assistant. Seamlessly switch between streaming platforms, adjust volume, and even dim the lights for the perfect movie night ambiance. By integrating your entertainment system with smart controls, you'll eliminate the hassle of multiple remotes and enjoy a more convenient and immersive entertainment experience.
Tip 3: Enhance Home Security with Smart Cameras and Alarms
Boost the security of your home with the help of smart cameras and alarms. Smart security systems provide a range of features to protect your property and give you peace of mind. Install smart cameras both indoors and outdoors to monitor your home remotely, receive real-time alerts, and access recorded footage from your smartphone. Combine them with motion sensors and doowindow sensors for comprehensive coverage. Integrated alarms can sound off and send notifications in cases of suspicious activity or breaches. With smart security solutions, you'll have advanced tools at your fingertips to deter intruders, keep a watchful eye on your property, and ensure the safety of your loved ones.
Tip 4: Simplify Your Daily Routine with Voice-Activated Assistants
Make your daily routine more seamless and efficient by integrating voice-activated assistants into your smart home. With popular voice assistants like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, you can control various aspects of your home using simple voice commands. From setting timers and reminders to checking the weather or news, these assistants are designed to streamline your day-to-day tasks. Adjust your smart thermostats, turn on/off lights, play music, or even order groceries without lifting a finger. Voice-activated assistants bring convenience and hands-free control to your smart home, allowing you to focus on what matters most while effortlessly managing your home environment.
Tip 5: Optimize Energy Usage with Smart Thermostats and Climate Control
Maximize energy efficiency and comfort in your home by leveraging smart thermostats and climate control systems. These intelligent devices enable precise temperature management, which reduces energy waste and lowers utility bills. With the ability to create schedules, adjust settings remotely, and even learn your preferences over time, smart thermostats optimize heating and cooling based on occupancy and external factors. Some models integrate with weather forecasts and occupancy sensors to fine-tune climate control automatically. Additionally, energy usage monitoring features provide insights into consumption patterns, empowering you to make informed decisions for energy conservation. By optimizing your home's climate control with smart technology, you can achieve a more sustainable and cost-effective living environment.
Tip 6: Manage Your Home's Appliances and Devices Remotely
Take control of your home's appliances and devices from anywhere with the convenience of remote management. With smart home technology, you can remotely monitor and control various appliances, such as refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, and more. Check the status of your appliances, adjust settings, and receive notifications or alerts right on your smartphone. Forgot to turn off the oven before leaving? No problem. Simply access your smart home app and switch it off remotely. Remote management not only offers peace of mind but also allows you to optimize energy usage, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that your home is running smoothly even when you're away.
Tip 7: Create Personalized Scenes and Routines for Different Activities
Enhance the ambiance and functionality of your smart home by creating personalized scenes and routines for different activities. Whether it's a cozy movie night, a productive work session, or a relaxing evening, smart home technology allows you to set up pre-defined scenes that adjust multiple devices with a single command. Dim the lights, lower the blinds, and play soothing music for a relaxing atmosphere, or brighten the lights, set the temperature, and activate your home office devices for a productive work environment. With routines, you can automate a series of actions to occur at specific times or trigger them with voice commands. By tailoring your smart home to suit different activities, you can effortlessly create the perfect ambiance and streamline your daily routines.
Tip 8: Monitor and Control Your Home's Energy Consumption
Take charge of your energy usage and promote sustainability by monitoring and controlling your home's energy consumption. Smart home technology offers energy monitoring capabilities that provide real-time insights into how much energy your appliances and devices are using. By identifying energy-hungry devices, you can make informed decisions about their usage and find opportunities for optimization.
Additionally, smart plugs and power strips enable you to remotely control and schedule the power supply to specific devices, ensuring they are not left on standby unnecessarily. With the ability to monitor and control energy consumption, you can actively reduce waste, save money on utility bills, and contribute to a greener future.
Tip 9: Enhance Your Home's Safety with Smart Locks and Doorbells
Elevate the security of your home with the help of smart locks and doorbells. Smart locks offer convenient keyless entry, allowing you to lock and unlock your doors remotely using a smartphone app or through voice commands. You can also grant temporary or permanent access to family members, friends, or service providers without the need for physical keys.
Paired with smart doorbells, which include features like video cameras and motion sensors, you can see and speak to visitors at your doorstep from anywhere using your smartphone. Receive instant notifications and record video footage to enhance your home's safety and deter potential intruders.
Tip 10: Simplify Your Shopping Experience with Smart Home Integrations
Enhance your shopping experience and add convenience to it through the integration of smart home technology. Numerous smart home systems seamlessly connect with popular online shopping platforms, revolutionizing the way you manage your shopping lists, place orders, and even automate recurring purchases.
With the help of voice-activated assistants, you can effortlessly add items to your shopping list as you run out of them or think of new ones. The list becomes easily accessible on your smartphone whenever you're ready to make a purchase. Some smart refrigerators are equipped with built-in cameras that capture images of your groceries, allowing you to remotely view your supplies while shopping.

2023.06.02 00:24 TheSmallCheezeitMan My Friend makes me pay for everything!!!

I have never made a post, and this is my first one ever. But I am having some problems with my best homie. I just want advice from random people on the internet :). This is going to be long so If you read it I want to say Thank You. (also I know this is a huge info dump post) (Also the title is only part of the problem) So to start I met him in middle school. We are both in high school now. We have always been the dynamic duo and always had fun together.Im very extroverted when it comes to people. So I love to talk to him and hang with him any chance I get.But Sometimes he will flip for no reason at random times. Just suddenly get mad at me and tell me I am annoying or would just ignore me. Sometimes he would straight up hit me. Now I am a very big guy. So whatever he did never really hurt, but it hurt my feelings a little. I didn't mind .But after his episode, no matter how long it lasted, he would go back to being my best chum. I assume he does that when something bad happens and he doesn't want to tell me what happened. So he kinda acts out because I cant read his mind and know what he is feeling and shut up.He has done that for a while. But as I said, It didn't bother me that much because I could under stand it. The only time it did bother me was when he did that so bad that I stopped being friends with him for a few months. But we both made up and continued being best buddies after. Long story short, he blamed me for something I could not control and said I ruined everything. (I know that is vague but I don't want him finding this)Now back to the main stuff. He is older than me. So when he could start to drive, I could not. So now we can hang out after school and do things. Since we have met up til this point we have only hung out once outside of school. Side note: a little before he could drive he got a gf. So now we add her into this.In school we were fine. We were the best pals you can ever imagine. Except the obvious problem mentioned before. He would only really act out like that every once in a while tho. But now that he had a gf... I was like once every 2-ish days. Lasting almost an entire school day. I knew he wasn't mad at me but still, it sucked.Thats so far is only one small of the things he does that makes me mad. Here comes the rest.He constantly has problems with his gf and when I try to help I get blamed for stuff. On top of me trying to help their relationship, he kinda flirts with other girls, so idk if I should tell his girl or not.So back to him driving. He is the only one that can out of my friends. So I am the third wheel to him and his gf when we go out. I don't mind. Until they remind me that i'm alone. Also I pay for everything when we go out. Everything. No matter where. That makes me the most mad. They say it is because i'm the only one that works. I don't mind giving him gas money because as I said he drives me around. But he can't even pay for his gf. I have too. When I invite him out he always asks if i'm paying. With no thanks.I know it sounds like they are using me. But him and his gf see me as a some what close friends. His gf might be using me. But he is not smart enough nor thinks like that, to be able to use me. I think he does it without thinking. Fr Trust me on that. That makes me the most mad. ready for more.Whenever we are out I feel ignored until they need something. He even has tried to skip out on driving me back home. When he comes over to my house we have fun, until his gf ruins it by making sure we aren't out with other girls or something. I mean I read manga and comics. My only other hobbies are lifting weights and playing sports. Does she really think I get any girls? Let alone hang out with them. But she basically ruins out hang out time by texting him non stop and calling him. Making him get mad at me for interupting him while he is talking to her. Also I have a cool thing at my house (keeping it vague). They constantly ask to come over to use it and then proceed to ignore me. At my own place. The worst part is now he has "ghosted" me over freaking summer. What I mean by that is that he wont't hang with me at all! Not matter If I pay or invite him to something super cool. It is always met with a "idk" or "maybe" or "I can't". What?!The point I am making is that he basically controls our friendship. We can only do stuff he wants or what is on his time.I pride myself in being kind and nice to everyone. It was how I was taught to live. Still excluding him. Everyone around me treats me like crap. (except a few seniors on my sports team.) I constatly help others even when they don't ask me to directly. (I have way to many stories of helping people for no reason) I am so kind and cool and this... this is what I get. I am so much taller and stronger than everyone else. I could be the mean one if I wanted. And nobody could stop me.But then I remember why I should not be mean. And remember my favorite fiction characters. Like Superman, Batman, Spiderman etc. And remember how they have troubles, but are still the good guys. I want to be like them.Thankfully the seniors on my sports team have been making the team realize they should respect me more. And I actually have made a new friend recently. He is super cool but quiet. And he hardly talks to anyone. But I can understand him and kinda relate to him. He is kind. I'm planning on hanging with him more. But it sucks that no matter how much work I put in. In the end. My best friend doesn't really like me all that much. Even though when we hangout it is a blast. And we make jokes and have so much fun we can't handle it. I guess he has other priorities.I feel like it is all my fault. But deep down I know something. I am a kind, strong, nice man. That will do anything for my true friends. While he just isn't. Even if I get no thanks for what I do. I realize why I help others. Because it is the right thing to do. And I will never stop being kind. Even when so many others hate me and put me down. This is just apart of my journey. I have to accept it. I don't even know why I am posting this. Haha.

2023.06.02 00:24 DariusIV I still walk alone, Outcast DH update and in-depth card analysis with cuts and additions for the miniset meta.

Heya folks, I had a few people ask for a revision to my previous post. So this is that. I'll link my old post, since a great deal of that analysis is still relevant. I'm currently sitting at rank 30 legend and I got there with an absolutely incredible winrate playing basically all day today.
Here's my old post, I'd suggest taking a read of it first if you want a good baseline of how to play this deck.
And here is the current list.
### Halveria Simp# 2x (0) Dispose of Evidence# 2x (0) Through Fel and Flames# 2x (1) Crimson Sigil Runner# 2x (1) Fierce Outsider# 2x (1) Illidari Studies# 2x (1) Vicious Slitherspear# 2x (2) SECURITY!!# 2x (2) Spectral Sight# 2x (2) Wayward Sage# 2x (2) Wretched Exile# 2x (3) Hawkstrider Rancher# 1x (3) Lady S'theno# 1x (3) Rush the Stage# 1x (4) Felerin, the Forgotten# 2x (4) Glaivetar# 1x (4) Halveria Darkraven# 2x (7) Vengeful Walloper#AAECAZ+aBgT7vwSkkgXn9QXr9QUNs6AEtKAEiLIE+b8EpeIEiJIFj5IFlJIFhaoFpMMF9MMF5OQF4fgFAAA=
So lets talk about what I've cut and what I've kept and what I've changed.
First off, predation is an absolute cut. The pay off of deal 2 damage just isn't good enough anymore. Even when you meet the condition to make it free, it just doesn't feel that strong. When you have it sitting in hand with no naga it just feels awful. I don't like it, I cut it, the deck performs better for it.
Added, through the fel and the flames. This card is absolutely bonkers. There is almost no situation where this feels bad at all. Even drawn super early it can usually enable some kind of value trade that allows it to go one for one, which is really all you can ask of a card. Given it can both buff and activate s'teno, this card is an easy inclusion would strongly recommend.
Kept, dispose of the evidence. I hear people are cutting this card, which is bonkers to me. Yes it feels bad to draw early and be down a card, but honestly there are some matchups (Frost DK), where this isn't even remotely the end of the world. It is so crucial to winning late, I'd never dream of cutting it. It is a frustrating card, but a powerful one
Cut, one rush the stage. Credit Luna over on twitch for this one, it is the first place I saw this and I whole heartedly agree. You only have 6 rush minions in the deck, two of which you almost always keep off the mulligan (fierce outsider). Rush the stage is way too often a draw one or a completely dead card. You don't even really want it until the midgame anyways, a one of is the right number.
Experimented with and cut. Wrathscale Naga. Just not a fan of this card at all. It looks great on paper, till you realize the dream of trading those 1/1 rushers in for face damage doesn't really happen that often, because you have to minions to trade into kill your minions. Above and beyond that, it is very RNGy and I'd rather have more ways of cycles through my deck. Best case scenario you go from way behind to roughly even on board, then you give them a while new turn to develop. This card just doesn't work.
Added Spectral Sight, there is no question this card is important. There are so many times you're cycling through your deck for the Halveria, glaivetar or dispose of the evidence. Having this card is an instant reload and it allows you to more confidently and fully commit to your early board, knowing that at any point you have a reload.
Kept, hawkstrider. This card is just too good. Critical for most control matchups and a great win more card to lock out a board based opponent that fell behind.
Cut, Pozzik. Hot take, but Pozzik just isn't that good folks. He is a 5/4 for 4 mana and if you don't play him exactly on 4, then he is fairly easy for most decks to deal with. Even worse, there are times you can't play him at all, because he is a vanilla 5/4, they can trade into him after they develop both bots. Maybe he works in other aggro decks, but not this one. Major cut.
Here are my combined stats for the past two days since the meta changes.
Overall 50-28 since the miniset dropped.
DK 15-15, Blood is very much unfavored, if they have blood boil by turn 5, it is gonna be rough. That said, frost actually feels favored for you. Yes that strikes against common wisdom, but you have incredibly explosive starts and all you need to do if whack their face enough to be able to kill them over the top with glaivetar and dispose of the evidence. Try to find a way to stick a wretched outcast or hold a walloper going into their turn 7, that way you're not getting 5+5+5+10 from double frostworm fury and losing a game you absolutely dominated the board on.
DH 6-3 better outcast player wins :)
Druid 1-0 rip druid
Hunter 2-1 Rip Hunter
mage 2-2 Mage is annoying, the fact there aren't that many of these is a god send, this feels like it could be a bad matchup.
Paladin 6-1 Your tools vs paladin are just so strong.
Priest 9-0 Control priest feels like it should be hard, but you always just seem to get there. Shadow is heavily favored for you. It's one of the few matchups you really need to prioritize your own health total though, as they damn do they hurt.
Rogue 2-1
Shaman 0-1
Warlock 2-1
Warrior 5-4. Every flavor of warrior feels winnable. Hawkstriders are key here to avoiding that annoying enrage warrior aoe. You'll come on line quicker than they will, but you have to respect their potential. Focus on building durable boards, and for the love of god keep those hawkstiders off the mulligan.

2023.06.02 00:23 Gosllez How did Saudi Arabia survived 2014 ?

Just trying to wrap my head around how 2014 was the worst year for Saudi Arabia in its modern history and the fact that we survived it is astonishing, 2014 had so many major incidents that are a catastrophe in its own, starting from the collapse of oil prices which is a matter of life and death of an economy that pretty much depends on it and this caused an accelerated depletion of foreign currency reserves which made some economists predict that Saudi Arabia will bankrupt in 3 years, another major event is the rise of ISIS in Syria and Iraq threatening your northern borders and with it the terrorist attacks inside the country has rabidly increased where there were an attack happening every Friday, on the other side on your southern border a Shia militia armed by your rival capture the entirety of the country that you share the most difficult border with and start doing military parade to show off the weapons they seized from the Yemeni army, during the whole 2014 your supposed ally is negotiating a nuclear deal with your rival without your participation which gives them the cash they need in exchange for delaying their nuclear program for just few years, then the year ends with the announcement of the death of king Abdullah which is a big deal in an absolute monarchy even though it was announced in the beginning of 2015 but he died in 2014 where this whole year was full of speculations about his absent and no one knows who’s ruling the country , and to add more depression to the public … the Saudi national football team failed to qualify for the World Cup and got knocked out in the first stages of the qualifiers so no bread and circus can be used to distract the people from the difficult times they living in.

2023.06.02 00:22 ccviking Need some sage advice

First of all, newer to reddit. Have only passively scrolled. If any dads out there are going through it or need an ear, let me know. I've been to hell and back, and yet still in hell.
I (43M) have been divorced from ex (40F) just over a year, separated for almost 2. Long story short, she had affair with co-worker, we divorced, and now have 50/50 custody. She is as narcissistic as they come. We have two sons, ages 12 and 10.
Two months ago, she moves in with boyfriend the co-worker. He (54M) is not a good dude. History of lying, cheating, and arrests.
Recently, he has bullied my eldest son and gave him the finger. My ex at the time also was teasing my son and didn't stop her bf from his actions.
I confronted her and she said she was giving our son a taste of his own medicine. I'm like, you're the freaking adult! Act like it!
No man teases my son and gives him the finger.
How do I handle this? What are my options? I know my first instinct is not the correct one. My eldest has some impulse issues, but overall is a good kid and didn't deserve getting bullied by his mom and her degenerate bf. Thoughts?

2023.06.02 00:22 ZettabyteEra “Turtles all the way down” is an impossibility

I keep seeing this idea brought up and upvoted and I don’t understand the appeal. It is a logical error to think that a simulation could actually be run by another simulation.
In a stack of simulations, a simulated civilization can run their own simulations within their simulation, but if you take a closer look, that’s not what is actually happening. What is actually happening in that situation is that a physical reality is running a computes that host a simulated reality that has within it fake computers that can “run” simulations. The fake computers in a simulation are completely dependent on a physical computes in base reality (the actual computes) though — everything in a simulation, no matter how many levels deep is dependent on base reality and exists in a base reality computes.
I would also imagine that allowing simulations to create full immersion simulated realities of their own may be uncommon. If you are running a simulation, an essential aspect of that is knowing how much computational resources you need to run it and letting consciousnesses within the simulation increase the amount of computational resources in an unpredictable way by allowing them to create their own advanced computationally demanding simulations would probably be seen as undesirable.
Stacked simulations are also unnecessary to achieve a very large number of simulations. There is no reason you can’t have a very large number of advanced simulations that are A to B, as in, created in base reality with no further advanced sub-simulations.
A simulation is something that exists on the inside of a computer and for something to exist inside of a computer, the computer must be made of physical matter that can perform computations.

However, with a film like Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the situation is slightly different given Sony's lack of a dedicated streaming service, here's where to watch and stream Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse online.
When Is the Release Date for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse?

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse had its world premiere at the Regency Village Theatre on May 30, 2023, and is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on June 2, delayed from an initial October 2022 date because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Where To Watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Online:

How to Watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
There's been no official announcement regarding Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's streaming release date, though we know it will eventually be released on Netflix, rather than Disney+ or HBO Max.
In terms of which of the streaming giants Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released on, Netflix will house the film upon its streaming debut. While again, Sony does not have its own dedicated streaming service, a deal was struck in 2021 between the studio and Netflix. The deal, stating that Netflix would stream Sony's films after theatrical release, was penned for 5 years meaning Across the Spider-Verse is part of the arrangement.
While Sony's Spider-Man content is also streaming on Disney+, due to the collaborations between Sony and Marvel Studios in recent years, Across the Spider-Verse will be a Netflix release. While the deal struck between Marvel Studios and Sony may extend to this film, Disney+ is only allowed to begin streaming Sony's Spider-Man releases upon their release on Netflix. As a result, Netflix will be the first streaming service that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be available on after its theatrical release.
Because it’s airing on FX, you can of course fire up Into the Spider-Verse via FX Now. But in addition, the animated flick is streaming on both fubo (which offers a free trial and has cord-cutting plans starting at $74.99/month; sign up here) and DirecTV (which also offers a free trial and has cord-cutting plans starting at $64.99/month.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in Theaters?
Not only was Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse the subject of rave reviews, but it also pulled in some gargantuan levels of cash at the international box office, with a final tally that quadrupled the film's ninety-million dollar budget. With incredible success like that, it's only natural that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse would also be taking advantage of a theatrical release. That is the case, as the upcoming film will be exclusively available in theaters when it premieres on June 2nd, 2023.
When Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be on Streaming?
The Spider-Man franchise is in a pretty interesting place regarding streaming. The various films of Sony's franchise have typically been scattered across multiple services. That said, following a historic deal between Sony and Disney, the many stories of Peter Parker and beyond are now available on Disney+. This includes the original Sam Raimi trilogy, the first Amazing Spider-Man film, and, starting mid-May, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Venom. Notably absent from the Disney-streaming platform so far are The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Morbius, and most significant of all, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Some of the films are not currently available on the service because Sony has pre-existing partnerships with Starz, as that's where most of the absent films are available to stream. That is except for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is instead only streaming on Fubo TV and FX Now.
If Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse comes to Disney+ before Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's theatrical run concludes, that would make the House of Mouse's service a likely contender for a streaming release. However, Sony has also historically partnered with Netflix for streaming releases. Up until recently, that's where Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was available to stream, and Sony still brings their other big releases to the service, like Bullet Train and The Woman King.
When will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse be streaming on Netflix?
Sony Animation’s big new Spider-Man movie is about to hit theaters and will be headed to Netflix (at least in the United States) later this year. For a prediction as to when and a bit more about the new movie, here’s what you need to know.
As we covered in 2021, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be headed to Netflix as the service gets both Sony’s animation and live-action content via a first window deal struck in April 2021.
The deal stipulates that all Sony theatrical movies come to Netflix in the first window, which at a minimum, is 120 days after its theatrical release date. If it arrives exactly 120 days after, it’ll be streaming from September 30th, 2023.
With that said, given how big this movie is, we may see it release a few weeks after the fact. Either way, we expect the movie to be available between late September and November 2023.
Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be Streaming On Netflix?
Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is coming to Netflix approximately in December 2023.
In 2021, Sony and Netflix signed a five-year deal that gave the latter exclusive first-pay-window U.S. streaming rights for Sony Pictures titles after their theatrical and home entertainment windows. Fans can expect to watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Netflix six months after the film’s theatrical release, thus in December 2023. The date seems reasonable considering that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse dropped on Netflix on June 26, 2019, six months after its U.S. release on December 14, 2018. The pay-one window usually begins about nine months after a film’s theatrical release, but it might start earlier in particular cases.
Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be On HBO Max?
No, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Universal Pictures movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the streaming release.
Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be Streaming On Disney+?
Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is also coming to Disney Plus approximately in 2025.
Once the pay-one window runs its time and Netflix’s exclusive rights expire, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be available on Disney Plus. The pay-one window might last as long as 18 months, which means it will be a while before Disney Plus subscribers can watch the much-anticipated sequel. Unlike in other countries, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse isn’t yet available on the Disney-owned streamer in the U.S.
American fans will have to wait until 2024 to watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and at least until 2025 for its sequel. We will update this post once there is an official Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Disney Plus release date.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new Marvel's animation movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.

You can also rent or buy the movie on iTunes or Google Play. You can also watch it on-demand or on a streaming app available on your TV or streaming device if you have cable.
When Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be on DVD and Blu-ray?
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will likely be coming to DVD and Blu-ray around the same time as the streaming release. With theatrical films, on average, coming to streaming sooner than ever (usually ninety days after theatrical release), we'll likely see Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse get a DVD, and Blu-ray release no later than Fall 2023.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Cast and Characters

What is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse About?
Returning with many of your favorite characters, including Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman, Peter B. ParkeSpider-Man, and of course Miles Morales as our primary Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set one year after the events of the previous film. Miles (Shameik Moore) is coming into his own as Spider-Man when he is unexpectedly approached by Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) with an extraordinary opportunity. Does Miles want to help a team of Spider-People, led by Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) protect the multiverse from the terrifying threat of a man known as The Spot (Jason Schwartzman)?
Obviously, Miles is going to say yes, setting him up for an adventure that will expand this movie’s concept of the multiverse in every possible way. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse promises tons of new characters and worlds, without losing sight of what people have come to love about this particular Spider-franchise.
Miles Morales has become a massively popular Spider-Man, and you can be certain he’ll be at the center of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s chaotic blend of action, comedy, comic book aesthetics, and large-scale science fiction. It seems more likely than not that Across the Spider-Verse will be the biggest animated release of 2023.

2023.06.02 00:21 masinutadespalat Just discovered Real Debrid and I'm shocked - got a couple of questions as well

So, this whole thing started with Netflix cracking down on password sharing. I've been sailing the high seas for many years and the only reason for having that subscription was for my parents and sister, since they're tech illiterate. When I finally got that message from them stating that I need to pay extra for users outside of my network, I said F it and cancelled it on the spot.
At that point, I had to come up with a new solution to make my family's life easy and straight forward again. I was considering opening up my Plex server to them, but that came with its own headaches (having to keep my PC on 24/7 and downloading whatever they want to watch each and every single time). One thing lead to another and I discovered Real Debrid.
Now, I've a tech power user for more than 20 years and somehow I've been living under a rock as I've never heard about such a wonderful "tool". I created a 15 days subscription for starters and got down to testing. My current setup is as follows:
- Real Debrid + JDownloader for downloads
- Unchained app on my Android phone for Real Debrid management
- Stremio + Torrentio for me and my family.
So far so good, everything is working perfectly. My internet was already great so I never had to wait too long for downloads to finish but holy smokes. Streaming a 80GB+ 4k HDR movie with close to 0 buffer? What kind of sorcery is this? Also, absolutely everything that I looked up so far on Stremio was cached already, and trust me, I looked for some obscure stuff. Considering that my Netflix subscription was already costing me 11.99€ per month, paying 16€ for Real Debrid sounds like a literal no brainer.
Here comes the questions now, as I want to make sure that I'm using this thing to its full potential:
- From what I understand, Real Debrid is a legitimate business and the whole torrenting thing falls in some sort of a gray area. Does a VPN still make sense if my only use for it was to hide my sails on the sea?
- How safe are the card payments options? I'm using a disposable card just for good measure, but I was curious if anybody had any issues due to them, especially since your real identity is tied to the purchase.
- From my tests, it seems that you can download pretty much anything, even torrents from private trackers, which got me thinking. Are there any indexes that contain torrents from everywhere (including private sources)? Alternatively, is there a way to see all the content that is currently cached by RD?

- Any other interesting uses for Real Debrid that I'm missing, orr 3rd party tools / integrations?

2023.06.02 00:20 _bark_vader_ How do I stop making more mistakes in my relationship?

I (20F) come from a troubled past. I've always had a very strained relationship with my family, and I never really grew up with any sort of support system other than from the 2 relationships I've had in the past. Both were extremely toxic, and over the course of both of these (one lasting 3 months, one lasting 3 years) I myself adopted toxic habits. I always thought I would end up alone after these so I gave up on relationships, until I met my current partner (19M).
It's started perfect. We've never had a fight like I'm used to in the past, rather one of us making a mistake and we talk about it. We've been together for around 6 months now and he could not be any more of what I've always wanted out of someone. It's always felt like once I met him that I met my other half. However, I've been so used to being in toxic environments with so many people that I didn't even realize how many I've adopted myself. I've found myself to become incredibly anxious all the time that this façade he has will just suddenly disappear one day and his 'true' self will show, but it never happens. Even when I'm being clingy and ask the same questions over and over (Ex. Do you love me? Am I boring you? You enjoy listening to me right?) he still answers them and is honest with me every time, even if the truth hurts. It's a reason why I love him so much, since his truths always help me be serious with my mistakes so I can work to correct them.
I made a horrible mistake last night, which is the pinnacle of all the mistakes I'm now realizing are slowly going to kill this relationship. I struggle with drinking occasionally, as it is a bloodline thing in my family. I went a full month without drinking, before my mom offered some wine to celebrate an achievement for my brother. It didn't taste like wine, and it hit me hard like something strong such as whisky. That night in a mutual group chat we are in I ranted about my love for him. The next night she offered to finish the bottle with me and I caved, since the happy lovey feeling of the previous night made me want to again. This time I had much more, and ended up calling my boyfriend. I do not remember this night at all, however he told me that it began sweet before it became extremely bad. I was clingy, asking extremely personal questions and pressuring him for answers. The next morning, this morning, I told him how I don't remember the previous night. We texted and he told me every single detail of that night, and I felt sick. My insecurities were projected tenfold, when sober they're not nearly as strong. I've always been extremely insecure but with how intoxicated I was, it was a whole other level. We talked and I apologized, and he was extremely forgiving, especially considering how I was not my normal self. He said that, however, the next time I drink he would not pick up.
I don't know what to do from here. I apologized several times but even I have the common sense to know they mean nothing since this isn't the first time that this has happened. I should have realized it previous times, but I just thought that acknowledging the problem was equivalent to doing something about it, when it very much is not. I've looked into counseling resources at our college so I can learn to properly process my anxiety and insecurities. He worded the questions I asked as if I was just needing answers to boost my ego, and I feel so terrible for making him feel that way, that those questions were anything outside of pure insecurity and anxiety. I feel like I text him enough already, being clingy, but I do not know what else I can do from here. I am soon starting a job so I can look into therapy to process my emotions properly so I can be my best version for him, and to make this last as long as it can. I never thought that I would end up being the problem and now that it's seriously hit me, I want to fix this as soon as possible. I'm terrified that this will only get worse and I will negatively impact his mental health, if I haven't already. I plan on completely cutting out drinking, since previously I only said I would stop drinking alone and only do it socially, however even socially I overdo it. I am not dependent on it whatsoever other than the occasional anxious night, however I need to learn healthy ways to overcome my anxiety without the need of it.
Is there anything else I can do?

2023.06.02 00:20 stresseatingdog Ungenderlocking Choices: Part 13 (Witness: A Bodyguard Romance)

Hey! I know I said I'd be covering The Royal Masquerade today, but I realized as I tried to make the post that I...completely forgot the plot of that book, and without knowing that extensively, I think I'd struggle mightily with making it GOC. If anyone could DM or even just comment a brief synopsis of the story of that book, I'll do the post right away as a bonus.
Anyways, with that aside, let's move ahead. A quick note - I'm also skipping Baby Bump...for now. There are obviously non-cis men who can very much still get pregnant, but I suppose my main concern would be comfort. Would trans male players feel alright with it, since the whole entire book centers around the pregnancy? This is an open question - and if the consensus is that it wouldn't be that uncomfy, I'll do my write-up for Baby Bump and its sequel ASAP.
Now, with all the skipping done, let's get to the actual book today!
No changes - a common trend with all these ungenderlockings, huh? I'd imagine male M/C would have as many customization options as female M/C - that would be neat to see.
Love Interest:
Cassian - Already fully customizable, down to their hair, so no changes necessary.
I'd have male M/C be hanging out with their friend "Hank" at the beginning - maybe use Han from AME's sprite to match them re-using Lina's sprite for "Harika".
He'd still get harassed at the bar, but this time it would be by a drunk guy wanting to pick a fact, why not do that for both routes?
The general plot remains the same, for the most part. M/C is still in Witness Protection, Cassian is still their bodyguard, they still have sex 24/7 - nothing new.
The climax and ending is the same as well.
Also, if I were actually in charge of making a remaster of this book, I'd obviously remove the ridiculous amount of diamond choices instantly. M/C can finally eat breakfast for free!
Mandatory changes are mandatory.
Not a hard one, yet again. I'm not sure if M/C and Cassian's relationship in the original is too "damsel in distress"-y, and so I didn't want to mention it, but if it is, I'd probably remove that aspect for both M/Cs. Otherwise, yet another smut book PB genderlocked for no reason!
Next time (not counting the bonus posts I mentioned in the intro of this post) we are finally arriving at one of the most egrigiously genderlocked books in the entire app: one whose eyes are burning with desire.
