2023.06.07 11:19 Acceptable_Amoeba_37 760(Q50,V44) - resources used and lessons learnt

I got a few questions on the resources I used, so I thought I would make a detailed writeup of the same.
Disclaimer: This is not a piece of general advice, I am just documenting some of the things that worked for me. There are many experts in this sub who are qualified to give out advice, I am most definitely not one of them. Take this post with a pinch of salt. What worked for me might not work for you.
Free resources in the end.
TL;DR
  1. Quant - Wizako/ Gmat Club forum quiz
  2. Verbal - TTP(initial months)/ Gmat Ninja video series/ GMAT Club expert replies
  3. Have a guessing strategy and game plan for test anxiety, don’t lose control over the test at any point
  4. Don’t just think of what resources to use, think of when to use those resources as well. (Eg. doing gmat club practice in the initial stages felt overwhelming for me. I utilized it in a much more effective way after I was done with the basics)
  5. Be kind to yourself, get enough sleep, and fake it till you make it!
  6. Don't get disheartened if things don't go your way, a successful GMAT attempt depends on a lot of factors in addition to your prep. Your mindset and luck are factors as well. Keep going at it, it gets better!
Resources I used:
Quant:
  1. Although I am comfortable with quant more than with verbal, my basics were a bit rusty. I used the GMAT Quant core course from Wizako. I used this course to brush up on the basics. Although I used this course many months back, I frequented my notes from this course throughout my prep. They have a Youtube channel, you can check it out to see whether their style suits you. https://gmat.wizako.com/gmat-online-course-gmat-online-coaching-classes.shtml?gclid=CjwKCAjwsvujBhAXEiwA_UXnAK7fJppKZeq-T782xPruwFdSaR6zFVmE5l0c5SboqYLq9XAJpaBdPBoCz-0QAvD_BwE#fees
  2. After getting my basics in place, I started practicing with official questions. For the next few weeks, my efforts were quite scattered. In retrospect, having a structured approach would have expedited my prep - more on this later
  3. I purchased the TTP 4 months plan, however, I could not properly utilize the course as I had a very busy couple of months at work. Based on my experience, it is a very comprehensive course. It can be a game changer if you know how to utilize it well. Many people here feel that it is too vast, but I feel that is in good measure. They start from the absolute basics, and it is a very well-made course. I utilized TTP majorly for Verbal as it was my major pain point, and I was very satisfied with it(more on this in the verbal section)
  4. Once my basics were in place I realized that it was not my accuracy but my poor time management that was the bigger problem. This was my major takeaway from my first official test from a quant perspective.
  5. I fixed my timing problem with practice, get comfortable with the discomfort. I practised using forum quiz, and GMAT Club tests. GMAT club tests are really good, you can utilize this resource to get your time management skills in place. I would still say that they are not the same as OG questions, so DON'T skip out on OG questions. Getting an understanding of what skills the GMAT tests was an eye-opener. I also got GMAT club tests for free for 4 weeks. I got 2 weeks free for filling up an error log survey and an additional 2 weeks free for signing up for MBA Spotlight within 48 hours of its announcement. Watch out for such promotions to get some free resources.
  6. After practising for a while, I could see myself getting better at time management. My next pain point was careless math mistakes, I made a TONNE of them. I downloaded my error log from GMAT club, and in the week before the test, I revisited every official question that I got wrong and checked if I still made the same mistakes. If I made those mistakes even after practice, I re-read those concepts. I was making such mistakes even in the days leading to the test, anxiety was the root cause for such mistakes. I spent the last few days before my test working on my test anxiety.
Verbal:
  1. I spent the initial months of my prep doing a variety of resources, my prep was not structured at all. I used Powerscore CR Bible - a good resource to get some basics in place. I used Powerscore RC bible for RC, I found that to be helpful for me. I got comfortable with RC fairly quickly, so I did not spend much time on RC.
  2. GMAT Ninja Verbal series on Youtube is a godsend, I cannot stress how useful the entire series was, and the best part it is FREE. A lot of experts here say that GMAT verbal is not just about the rules, it seemed bizarre to me at first, but I understood what that meant after watching the GMAT Ninja videos. Watching those videos was a Eureka moment for me. I benefited a lot from the SC series especially. I felt that I could appreciate the videos better after I had some basics in place.
  3. I used TTP for verbal, especially for SC. TTP deserves every bit of credit it gets for making such a comprehensive course. Although I could not go through it completely, I greatly benefited from the verbal prep material. I referred to my SC notes from TTP multiple times during my prep journey. If you have the means and time to use TTP, go for it, but before that have a basic understanding of what your weak areas are. Use the free trial to get a feel of the course, and go for it when you are ready. Since the course is very vast, you might not have time to go through all of it, but having a clear idea of what you want in any resource will help you utilize it to the fullest.
  4. Read to understand the structure in RC, RC passages usually tire you out with a lot of details. Ensure that you don't lose track of the main idea, the structure, and what each paragraph tries to achieve in a structural sense. This helped me get most of the RC questions correct.
  5. SC is beyond the grammar rules. Don’t get me wrong, you need the rules to get to a basic level, but just that won't get you the right answer, especially in the more difficult questions. Reading for meaning is the way to go, GMAT Ninja videos helped me get this understanding. You have to be very literal with SC, I thought of SC like a puzzle.
  6. I am not the best person to comment about CR as that was my most difficult section, I tanked that in my first test. I learned that I did not keep track of the conclusion, so I fell for many trap answers. A few days before the test, Marty suggested I watch his Youtube video, it helped!! Thank you, Marty :) GMAT Ninja videos helped too. Like in SC, just understanding the patterns(eg. What are the typical right answers in a strengthen question?) will only get you so far, you need to understand what the main conclusion is and how the whole argument ties to it. Sometimes CR has seemingly bizarre correct answers, having a logical approach will help in such cases.
  7. GMAT CLUB - Just drilling OG questions will not be very effective. I used the forum quiz feature to practise in sets of 10-20 questions. I would later analyze each and every question, even the ones I got right. I used to read the expert replies and understand the concept. Once you get the hang of what qualifies as a right answer in GMAT, you will break your plateau, trust me on this.
  8. As mentioned earlier, I downloaded my GMAT club error log into an Excel file, revisited every official question that I got wrong, and checked if I still made the same mistakes. If I made those mistakes even after practice, and if it was because I did not completely understand that concept, I re-read those concepts(eg. I found the verb-ing modifier to be not intuitive for me, I re-read that a few times till I got the hang of it)
Test Anxiety:
  1. I did not account for this in my first test, and I learned a very important lesson the hard way. Some people are naturally calm under pressure, I am not one of them. GMAT is an exam where the stakes are high, so naturally your nerves will also be at an all-time high. Look up tips to help with anxiety, and choose what works for you. I got a 700 in my last mock 5 days before the exam, it felt like there was no way out. Once again, I am truly grateful for the people in this sub, and my family and friends for helping me move past that very rough patch. In retrospect, I feel like I needed to face that 700 in the mock in order to get the score I got on the test day.
  2. Be kind to yourself, and don’t get discouraged if you feel like you are not performing to the best of your ability, or if you feel like you are taking too much time to get ready for the test. You might feel like everyone else around is making massive strides and you are progressing in baby steps, understand that no two journeys are the same. Give yourself credit for showing up and wanting to move forward even when things are not looking up.
  3. I had a positive attitude before the test to the extent that I was surprised at myself. I told myself that nothing would stop me from giving my best possible performance on the test day, in a way I faked it till I made it. Things did not go my way initially, I had a flat tire right before I left for the test, I did not understand the very first question, and I had to guess a few questions(luck played a part here), I was surprised how unfaced I was given the turn of events. Having a resilient mindset helps, believe in your practice. I made every effort to not think about the algorithm.
  4. Don’t let performance in your first section affect that of your next section. I made this mistake on my first attempt and consciously avoided making the mistake on the second attempt.
  5. Never lose control over the test - have a guessing strategy. If you feel you are running out of time, you will have to make some calculated sacrifices.
Miscellaneous things that worked for me:
  1. In my first attempt, I had some trouble using the scratch pad, I followed a timing strategy wherein I write some time markers on the bottom of the page. It might sound trivial to you, but I had trouble with flipping the pages the right way on my first attempt, I was that anxious. I got a scratch pad to practise before the second attempt. If you can’t get it in your region, or if you find it to be expensive, you can get a makeshift one made at a local stationery store. I laminated a bunch of A4 sheets and got them spiral bound, not the best way, but it did the job.
  2. Reading some success stories here and on GMAT Club motivated me.
  3. I took a week off from work before my test, I completely zoned into GMAT. If you can't do this, consider having a few days around the weekend.
Free resources:
Don’t be discouraged if you are on a bit of a money crunch, you can get a great score just by using free resources. I am happy to help more in this regard, feel free to DM.

  7. Watch out for promotions on GMAT club to get access to tests/forum quiz for a few days. Subscribing to the youtube channel gives you 1 week of access to the forum quiz.
  8. GMAT Club - search for any topic that you don’t understand, and look for expert replies on that topic, it will be more than enough to understand that concept.

2023.06.07 11:19 MrMetraGnome What's With Survival Game Devs?

Like the title says, WTF is wrong with them? After finding one of my top 2 games of all time in Subnautica, I decided to try more survival games... Man, was I in for it. Is it part of the genre to have an overwhelmingly massive barrier to entry? I've played and refunded so many games that seem like they would be good, but kept getting frustrated and overwhelmed early. Everything I know about game design is nixed, and they design these games in a way that if you don't already know how to play, you're fucked. Stupid shit like, I know I need to eat to survive. I've got food in my inventory... How do I eat it? IDK. I die, Respawn with all of the meters already depleted, and now all of my food is gone. Man, is this game even possible single player?
Vent over.

I do not know if I am a Muslim anymore. I was born in Egypt, a Muslim country and I have always been a Muslim I'm a mix of different cultures, but for the past few years, I've not been praying or reading Quran. And for the past few months, I've been doubting if I'm Muslim enough. I don't have anything against Islam, I do actually believe that it's a good religion, although My knowledge of Islam isn't that deep. But it taught me some good stuff. But i have not been praying, only know 2 suras, i haven't memorized how many raqqas per prayer, i try to avoid eating pork meat but i just stopped caring about products that have pork something in them like favouring oil and some random stuff like that, (even vegetable flavoured stuff have pork in them, its crazy). And i start questioning myself if I'm Muslim or not, Yes I do believe in Allah and the Rasool 3alaihi al salt wal salam, I do fast in Ramadan, i believe in the Janna and Jahim, I do believe in the qualities of Islam and hopefully when I'm grown all do the zakat and sadaka. But it's just i don't do anything and im slowly going crazy, am i supposed to give up half of my culture for Islam or stay like this to pretend im one or am i supposed to just forget Islam, obviously i don't wanna do that but i have been nothing that is Muslim like so what's the difference i ask my self. sorry if this sounds like a rant and my words are not clear but i really need help, ill try asking different places too.

2023.06.07 11:19 HD_DonkeyDrool I (21M) wish to get hired abroad in 5 years (IT field). What can I do to make my portfolio attractive enough to be hired abroad?

I'm in SEA region, considering to go to Aus/Canada/NZ or any other high income + relatively low expense country. Preferably English speaking.
What can I do in 5 years to achieve it? I am still studying programming at the mo, nevertheless will give it my all.
Things I've considered: 1. Contribute to open source projects 2. Learn Scrum, DevOp stuff from books and Google 3. Networking (did not go as well as I first thought, I'm still a student and everytime I attend any professional events, I find people totally out of my league.)
Please advise. Tq!

My 11 week toy poodle has small jelly like stools and there is sometimes small spots of bright red blood. She has had 2 large normal stools though. I just got her 2 days ago. She also sleeps almost all day and night but is super playful when she is awake. Is she okay?

2023.06.07 11:18 daydreamingofdaisies Can guinea pigs survive outside at 4-10°c

I've moved my guinea pig hutch outside for various reasons. It's winter where I live, and currently most nights are between 4-10°c. It's a 2 story hutch and I've put all 4 in the small top section with a fleece blanket under them, a pile of blankets for them to snuggle into, and a tub of fresh hay. I've covered the little window part with a thick blanket to minimise any drafts, but also made sure there is plenty of ventilation. I'm so worried I'm going to wake up to dead guinea pigs. Should they be okay overnight?

Forgetting the PGA/LIV stuff for a minute. This is the most frustrating sport in the world. From breaking 90 one week knowing it should have been lower to struggling to hit 100 the next week knowing you Fing sucked 😭😭🤬🤬🤬
Felt so good last week, the 86 just needed a bit more consistency on the greens and correcting 2 OB drives and all would have been right with the world.
Then a week later, admittedly a diff course, barely found a fareway, still couldn't putt and need two hands to count the amount of tops I hit.
I shouldn't complain I'm still in single digit amount of rounds for the year but f me it's so infuriating to feel like your about to get to where you think you should be to trudging off 18 a week later knowing your crap again hahahaha 😭🤣🤬🤣😭 Rant over

2023.06.07 11:17 Joe_Ligma420 Fuck it, *worst* ending for every squadmate

Aka the post that will guarantee I go to hell
TL;DR List of Deaths at the end
--ME1--
Surprisingly, this run begins with a fairly normal playthrough, minus one small hook.
Garrus- The small hook in question, leave him on the Citadel.
Wrex- Get his family armor, this will make sense later
Tali- Get the geth data for her, again will make sense later
Liara- Recruit her after Virmire
Make sure to romance the human option for your Shep
Important choices: Don't do any side content other than the personal missions I listed, Kill the Rachni Queen, spare the Asari on Virmire, kill the Council, kill all the colonists on Zhu's hope, don't save Kirrahe
--ME2--
Now this is where the fun begins
Firstly, cheat on the VS, preferably with Jack or Tali if you're Mshep, any option is fine for Femshep
Upgrades- Armor only, no shields or cannon
Jacob's Loyalty- don't do
Miranda's Loyalty- do, but side with Jack in their argument
Zaeed's Loyalty- do after SM, choose Paragon route, leave Zaeed to die
Kasumi's loyalty- Do, either choice is fine
Mordin's loyalty- Do, choose to destroy Maelon's data
Garrus' loyalty- Do, don't let him kill Sidonis
Jack's loyalty- do, manipulate her into killing Aresh.
Grunt's loyalty- don't do, in fact, leave him in the tank until just before the SM
Tali's loyalty- do, incite the crowd or choose the persuade/intimidate option, resolve her argument with Legion either fairly or in her favor (if you resolve it in her favor, remember to apologize to Legion later to regain his loyalty)
Samara's loyalty- do, choose Samara
Thane's loyalty- do, but fail the tailing
Legion's Loyalty- Do, Rewrite the Heretics
I originally wanted to sell Legion, but him not being present lead to the death of either Mordin or Tali during the hold the line segment, and come on, their tragic deaths in 3 are much worse than selling Legion.
Unlike other "max casualties" runs, you do NOT have to wait 3 missions before the suicide mission, but me wanting some characters to survive means I don't need death at every opportunity, and the crew can just die of no escort instead.
--Suicide Mission--
Bring Kasumi and Tali with you to fight the Oculus, Thane and Garrus will die.
(Any ME2 death is the worst ending for Thane, Garrus will die because the cannons failed, imagine not getting hired by Shepard after asking, and then 2 years later when they do bring you on board you die thinking you failed at your job)
(You MUST bring Kasumi and Tali, or else they'll die here instead.)
Send Kasumi to the Vents, choose Miranda as the First Fireteam Leader
(Kasumi dies doing the job she was likely brought on to do in the first place, and Miranda may begin to question her skillset.)
At this point all the crew except Chakwas will have become alien Gatorade, but Chakwas still needs to get to the Normandy. Send no one.
(There really wasn't anyone who's worst ending lied in dying here, except Grunt, but he needs to be the Second Fireteam Leader or someone else may die in a "non-worst" way.)
But we still need a Biotic Specialist, choose Miranda. For your two squadmates, bring Jacob and either Mordin or Tali.
(Jacob, Miranda's closest friend on the team, will die because of her own failure.)
Send Grunt out as the Second Fireteam Leader. He was made to be the perfect soldier, I'm sure he'll make it out fine, right..?
(Wrong! This death was tied with Crew Escort for worst, but for reasons I specified already on Crew Escort, I chose this one.)
At this point, your survivors will be:
Miranda (1 point), Zaeed (3 points) Mordin (1 point), Jack (1 point), Tali (1 point), Samara (2 points), Legion (4 Points)
This is a crew with an astronomically low hold the line score, so here's what we do:
First of all, BRING MIRANDA. This is her only opportunity to die in ME2, and her death in ME3 is far from her worst (dying saving her sister).
That leaves one of the loyal 1 pointers as our second option, the average of 4, 3, 2, 1, and 1 is 2.2, meaning no one left behind will die.
So, for your squad, bring Miranda and anyone I listed as being worth 1 point.
After the suicide mission, do Zaeed's Loyalty, and get him killed through the Paragon route.
Important choices: Be a dick to the Virmire Survivor, Destroy the Collector Base, make sure you have low materials (easily done by running out of fuel repeatedly), don't do any side quests
--ME3--
This is where all the ME1/2 survivors get killed off.
Mordin- Sabotage the Genophage, shoot him
(He regretted making the Genophage, when he went to undo his regret, he was shot dead by his own commander.)
Wrex- Will automatically die after Priority: The Citadel 2, due to how Mordin died.
(While this death takes longer, I don't think I need to examine why it's worse)
Virmire Survivor- Neither Thane nor Kirrahe will be around to save the Salarian councilor, and you've been a dick to them these last 2 games, once you meet them in the Cerberus Coup, shoot them dead.
(Shot by their ex-lover who also cheated on them.)
Jack- Don't do Grissom Academy
(Jack grew up being abused by Cerberus, then they're saved by Shep, who then manipulates them in the very place they were abused before, and then Shepard consciously decides to ignore saving the place where Jack happens to be stationed, leaving them to be kidnapped by Cerberus and letting the abuse come to an end through brainwash.)
Tali- Side with the Geth
(While this death already sucks, what's even worse is you had Tali's back up until now, helping her with her Pilgrimage and siding with her during an argument on the Normandy, so seeing you suddenly switch up must be even worse on her. Even even worse if you don't take the Paragon interrupt to at least try and stop her suicide.)
Samara- Let her shoot herself, then kill her last daughter immediately afterwards
(Don't think I have to explain why this one is terrible)
Legion- Always dies in 3
(Again, wanted to sell him, but couldn't)
James & Liara- Low EMS final run
(This is as much their worst death as it is their only death.)
Now, that leaves us with the ending, while renegade control is the worst overall imo, this is about making life suck for squadmates, not making life suck for everyone, so we choose destroy to check Edi off the list.

2023.06.07 11:17 Otherwise_Pea7954 Illnesses, body distress & EMDR

I’m doing EMDR for cPTSD for more than a year now. I was having mostly somatic problems that were medically unexplainable which is why I started therapy in the first place. It was like this since I was a child, would have physical problems, do all the check ups and it would turn out I’m completely healthy.
I’ve processed several traumas in EMDR so far. Any time I come near the end - when I am around 2 or 1 on a distress scale level - I feel the impact of the trauma in my body. Mentally and emotionally I feel desensitised, however I still feel distress in the body. And it takes some time to process it.
I was wondering if anyone is experiencing something similar? How do you deal with it? Any help would be appreciated as at this point I don’t know what to do.
P.s. I read The Body Keeps the Score book but can’t seem to figure it out

2023.06.07 11:17 Traditional-Desk-888 AITA for taking some annual leave to relax?

I live in the UK and my current employer offers 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays so it is more than any place I have worked previously. I live with my partner and she works part time but will be working full time from August. I decided to take a Friday and a Monday to give myself a long weekend. as work as been stressful and I needed some time to myself.
I mentioned to my gf before I did it that I was thinking about it and then told her when I had done it. On the Saturday she was out of town for the day visiting a friend so I would have the place to myself Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Monday afternoon. I ordered myself 2 new books and a video game and picked out some movies and tv shows to check out on Netflix. My gf mentioned an event that a bar in town has on Fridays and asked if I wanted to go. I said not this week but we could check it out next Friday.
She said she wanted to go this Friday and that since I've took a long weekend I should be fine making plans on the evening since I have the day to myself and have saturday to myself. I refused and told her she knew what my plans were and that I'm looking forward to not leaving the apartment and just relaxing, watching movies, reading, playing a video game etc and that I really don't want to go into town.
She said I was being selfish since I'll have plenty of time to myself but I pointed out I haven't had any time to myself in months so it's needed. AITA for taking annual leave ot relax and refusing to go for drinks when my gf asked?

2023.06.07 11:17 AshleyLindblad5 "Unlock the Power of Marketing Automation: Boost Your Business's Growth"

Are you looking for innovative ways to streamline your marketing efforts and achieve remarkable business growth? Look no further than marketing automation! In today's fast-paced digital landscape, marketing automation has emerged as a game-changer for businesses of all sizes. It empowers you to deliver personalized, targeted messages to your audience, nurture leads, and optimize your marketing campaigns with minimal effort.
Here are three key benefits of marketing automation that can supercharge your business's growth:
  1. Enhanced Lead Generation and Nurturing: Marketing automation allows you to capture leads from various sources, such as your website, social media, or landing pages. You can then segment these leads based on their behavior, interests, or demographics. By delivering relevant and tailored content to each segment, you can nurture leads throughout their customer journey, guiding them towards making a purchase. Automation ensures timely follow-ups, personalized communication, and optimized lead nurturing strategies, increasing your chances of converting leads into loyal customers.
  2. Personalized Customer Experiences: One-size-fits-all marketing messages no longer cut it in today's highly competitive market. Customers expect personalized experiences that resonate with their specific needs and preferences. Marketing automation enables you to create dynamic, personalized campaigns that address each customer individually. By leveraging customer data and behavior, you can automate personalized emails, product recommendations, and targeted advertisements. This level of personalization not only improves customer satisfaction but also drives higher engagement, conversions, and customer loyalty.
  3. Streamlined Marketing Operations: Manual marketing tasks can be time-consuming, tedious, and prone to human error. Marketing automation eliminates these challenges by automating repetitive tasks, such as email campaigns, social media scheduling, and lead scoring. By setting up workflows and triggers, you can automate the entire customer journey, from the initial touchpoint to post-purchase follow-ups. This allows your marketing team to focus on high-value activities like strategy development, content creation, and data analysis. Streamlining your marketing operations through automation enhances efficiency, reduces costs, and ensures consistent messaging across channels.
To harness the power of marketing automation, it's crucial to choose the right platform that aligns with your business needs. Look for a comprehensive solution that offers features such as lead management, email marketing, customer segmentation, analytics, and integrations with your existing tools.
Don't miss out on the immense potential of marketing automation! Embrace this transformative technology to elevate your marketing efforts, nurture customer relationships, and fuel your business's growth. Start your journey towards marketing automation success today!
Remember, the key to successful marketing automation lies in careful planning, continuous optimization, and a customer-centric approach. With the right strategy in place, you'll unlock a world of possibilities and take your business to new heights.

2023.06.07 11:17 mathilduhhhh Season 2 From is Being Dragged *spoilers*

And I don't like it. So I do not frequent this forum regularly as to avoid spoilers.
But Ive just finished episode 7 and it made me mad.
Let me first begin that Season 1 had a level where the pacing was consistent. Kept you on your toes each episode. Gave the season an overarching goal for the characters to strive toward in building the tower and radio to get communication from the outside world.
We also get crazy Sarah and her [redacting] some of the townies. Leading to anticipation for the end of season 1 where Boyd is supposed to go on that journey with her to find answers.
It also ends with one of my favorite scenes and one liner "You're wife shouldn't be digging that hole Jim". Sending an amazing chill down my spine & likely to a lot of the viewers as that was one the scariest moments for the whole season.
Season 7, however has none of that. What are the goals the overarching goals of the characters? Right now all we see is different theories and speculation which is all fine and dandy.
But none of the characters are actively working those theories. For a lot of these episodes all we get is emotional conversations. The first 2 episodes were the best of the season so far.
There is no overarching goal. The characters aren't working towards anything. We haven't even really begin to see the societal decline of when a group runs out of food & water. Which would have been far better to watch then this...
Episode 7 spoilers ends with Egin being drowned by some weird decrepit skeletal lady. Okay? And? I highly doubt there going to actually expand upon what that was. Or any of the visions that plague Jade or even Tabitha.
All season we get is the long drawn out emotional conversations, pointless visions, more mysterious drawings and visions, and at least 2 suspense worth scenes being the new people from the bus and Ellis being [redacted].
There are 3 episode left of the season. As per the reason I made this post because there isn't a lot of time left for them to at least address some of these visions, the weird dancing [redacted], or what happens to Elgin in the bathtub.
And I feel like there just going keep doing the same annoying stuff where the writers keep adding more visions, more aberrations, and none of it being talked about or even the previous visions being addressed.
That's it. Off my soapbox.

2023.06.07 11:17 TrickyEstimate6746 A confessional: Worst best luck ever

A confessional: Worst best luck ever
I pulled for only, and I mean only Verthandi. 2/70 to the 50/50 pity. I thought to myself, why not pull? I can pull a few, maybe ten or twenty, until I get verthandi, and then that's it. That would be all. I get to build up pity, and I get to have my Verthandi for my Tsuku team. I already have spare gold lightning sigils from farming Tsukuyomi, so I went in with high spirits
So I pulled ten. Just ten. I get the rate-up S, and 2/3 rate-up A's. But no flippin' Verthandi.
Not gonna lie, my first reaction is "ffs really why tf did I get an S, now my pity's gonna reset for the next one, but I hope I get A-Hera or A-Verthandi", followed by a increasingly awful scowl as I get Hodur, Osiris... And Ausar on the last pull. And not a single Verthandi, and 0/70 pity on 50/50.
Every. Single. Objective. Failed.
... Now I dunno if I even want to pull again for verthandi. My gut feeling says she's gonna evade me and make me reset pity again.
Should I pull more or not?

2023.06.07 11:17 therealsleamShaDdy Im here for everyone of you

Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well. Lately, I've been reflecting on the importance of human connection and how much it can mean to have someone to talk to and share life's ups and downs with. Whether it's a funny story, a heartfelt conversation, or just someone to be there during tough times, having a friend by your side can make all the difference. That's why I wanted to reach out and say that if anyone out there is looking for a listening ear or a friendly conversation, I'm here. Let's chat and get to know each other better, and maybe we can make each other's days a little brighter.
