My gf is mad at me because I can't show that I care.
2023.06.02 01:26 EldenRingLifer My gf is mad at me because I can't show that I care.
(Throwaway account because she knows my main one and will see that)
Basically it's what the title says. I 19M had an argument with my girlfriend (17F) and she said out of nowhere that do not show any kind of caring. (I grew up in a very toxic house where if you show a bit of a emotion you are to sleep outside even in the winter so for the past 16 years I haven't showed any kind of care or more than a weird smile around people) I talked to my therapist and she suggested to ask her more about her day and organize things together to do and have some more memories. I did that and she just got mad again, that I don't care and just said that she couldn't even trust me and that she can share about her life problems with her French teacher but not me because I just don't show that I care and for her it's all pretending. I tried to talk it out with her and ask what should I do so I can learn how to do it properly and she always says nothing with a big tone.
I don't know what to do anymore and I'm seeking some advice. I often ask her about her day, how is she and is there anything worrying her but her answers are always the same except she says nothing is worrying her. How do I even show her that I care and how do I show emotions?

Plot Hook: The Superhero Serum Heist
In a world where superpowers exist, a brilliant scientist has successfully developed a revolutionary serum capable of granting ordinary individuals extraordinary abilities. This serum, known as "Infinity Formula," has the potential to shape the balance of power among heroes and villains.
However, before the formula can be properly tested and regulated, a notorious supervillain organization known as the "Shadow Syndicate" launches a daring heist on the laboratory where the serum is stored. They manage to steal a significant amount of the Infinity Formula, and chaos ensues as criminals and aspiring heroes alike try to get their hands on this potent substance.
The party of superheroes receives a distress call from the remaining scientists, who desperately plea for their help in recovering the stolen serum. They explain that if the Shadow Syndicate successfully reverse-engineers the formula or sells it to the highest bidder, it could lead to a surge in superpowered crime and endanger the entire city.
As the party delves deeper into the investigation, they discover that the Shadow Syndicate has divided the Infinity Formula into multiple vials, each with a different power enhancement. These vials are now scattered throughout the city, hidden away in secret caches. To retrieve them, the heroes must solve a series of puzzles, overcome dangerous traps, and confront both minor and major villains who seek to exploit the serum for their own personal gain.

However, their methods are questionable, and rumors circulate that some members of The Vanguard may have ties to the Shadow Syndicate. Frugal Schizoids: Fun Activities
User
Hey, can you list in great depth and detail precisely ten fun activities to do for frugal schizoids with avolition, anhedonia, and asociality?
ChatGPT:
Certainly! I understand that individuals with schizoid personality traits, such as avolition (lack of motivation), anhedonia (inability to experience pleasure), and asociality (preference for solitary activities), may have unique preferences when it comes to leisure activities. Here are ten fun activities that can be enjoyable for frugal schizoids:
Reading: Reading is a fantastic activity for schizoids as it allows for solitary engagement with captivating stories or non-fiction subjects. Libraries and online resources offer an extensive range of free books, making it an affordable hobby. You can explore various genres based on personal interests.
Creative Writing: Expressing yourself through writing can be a rewarding and fulfilling activity. You can start a journal, write short stories, or even create a blog. Writing offers an outlet for your thoughts and emotions and allows you to explore your imagination.
Photography: Photography is an excellent way to capture moments and express your unique perspective. You don't need an expensive camera to get started; even smartphones can produce remarkable photos. You can explore different themes and experiment with editing techniques to enhance your skills.
Nature Walks: Spending time in nature can be calming and rejuvenating. Take leisurely walks in parks, nature reserves, or nearby trails. Observe the beauty of the natural world, listen to the sounds of birds, and enjoy the serenity. It's a frugal way to reconnect with yourself and find solace.
Puzzles and Brain Teasers: Engaging in puzzles, such as crosswords, Sudoku, or logic games, can be mentally stimulating and enjoyable. They offer a challenge and help exercise your cognitive skills while providing a sense of accomplishment upon completion.
DIY Projects: Get creative and undertake do-it-yourself projects. This could include refurbishing furniture, crafting, painting, or learning a new skill like knitting or woodworking. You can find affordable materials and tutorials online, making it a cost-effective way to explore your artistic side.
Online Gaming: If you enjoy gaming, explore the vast world of online gaming. Many games offer immersive single-player experiences that cater to individual preferences. Look for free-to-play or low-cost games that align with your interests, whether it's puzzle-solving, strategy, or exploration.
Meditation and Mindfulness: Engaging in meditation and mindfulness exercises can help you find inner peace and alleviate stress. Numerous free guided meditation apps and online resources are available. Take some time each day to practice mindfulness and cultivate a sense of well-being.
Music Exploration: Dive into the world of music by exploring various genres, artists, and time periods. Create personalized playlists, discover new bands or solo artists, and delve into the history and cultural significance of music. Streaming platforms and online radio offer a vast selection of music for free or at a minimal cost.
Volunteer Work: Although schizoids tend to be asocial, engaging in volunteer work can provide a sense of purpose and contribute to the community. Choose activities that allow you to work independently, such as helping at a local animal shelter, participating in environmental cleanups, or offering your skills for pro bono work.
Remember, finding enjoyable activities can be a personal journey, and it's important to experiment and explore what resonates with you. These suggestions offer a starting point, but feel free to adapt them to your preferences and comfort levels.
User:
You are genuinely amazing. I didn't expect these to align quite so perfectly with the desired audience. Any additional tips for relaxing, having fun, and actually enjoying the things you do?
ChatGPT:
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad the suggestions resonated with you. Here are some additional tips to help you relax, have fun, and enhance your enjoyment of the activities you engage in:
Embrace Mindfulness: Practice being fully present and engaged in the moment while you're doing an activity. Pay attention to the details, sensations, and emotions that arise. Mindfulness can help you appreciate the small pleasures and nuances that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Set Realistic Expectations: Understand that enjoyment and relaxation can vary from person to person. Don't put excessive pressure on yourself to experience intense pleasure or force yourself to engage in activities you don't genuinely enjoy. Embrace the process and find fulfillment in the act itself.
Take Breaks: Give yourself permission to take breaks during activities. This can help prevent burnout and maintain a sense of balance. Pace yourself and listen to your body and mind. If you feel overwhelmed or fatigued, take a short break, and return to the activity when you feel ready.
Create a Comfortable Environment: Ensure that your surroundings are conducive to relaxation and enjoyment. Whether it's finding a cozy reading nook, setting up a comfortable workspace, or organizing your materials for a DIY project, creating a space that supports your activities can enhance your experience.
Experiment and Explore: Don't be afraid to try new activities and explore different interests. The process of discovery itself can be exciting and rewarding. Be open-minded and allow yourself to step out of your comfort zone. You might find unexpected sources of enjoyment.
Share with Like-minded Individuals: While schizoids tend to prefer solitary activities, there may be occasions when sharing your interests with like-minded individuals can enhance your enjoyment. Seek out online communities, forums, or local groups where you can connect with others who share your passions and engage in discussions or activities together.
Practice Self-Care: Engage in self-care activities that promote relaxation and well-being. This can include taking soothing baths, practicing gentle stretching or yoga, listening to calming music, or enjoying a favorite hobby. Taking care of yourself holistically can contribute to a more enjoyable and fulfilling experience.
Release Performance Pressure: Remember that the purpose of engaging in activities is primarily for your own enjoyment and personal growth. Release any expectations of perfection or comparison with others. Focus on the process, progress, and the pleasure derived from the activity itself, rather than external validation.
Celebrate Milestones: Acknowledge and celebrate your achievements and milestones along the way. Whether it's completing a challenging puzzle, finishing a writing project, or mastering a new skill, take a moment to appreciate your progress. Reward yourself with small treats or positive affirmations.
Practice Gratitude: Cultivate a sense of gratitude for the activities you engage in and the enjoyment you derive from them. Recognize the positive aspects, however small, and savor them. Gratitude can enhance your overall sense of well-being and make your experiences more fulfilling.
Remember, everyone's journey is unique, and it's important to prioritize your own well-being and happiness. Adapt these tips to suit your individual needs and preferences, and don't hesitate to explore new strategies that resonate with you. Enjoy your pursuit of relaxation, fun, and genuine enjoyment!

2023.06.02 00:33 Mad_Scientist_II While stuck in the infinite subway, the biggest enemy can be microscopic
Part 7 --------------------------------------------------------
It's been two weeks since we've escaped the sleep watchers. Ramirez's concoction worked, waking everyone up and soon enough, the outside of the carts were once again the pitch black void we've got accustomed too. Thankfully, the worst thing that the sleep watchers left us with was a feeling of tiredness. Otherwise, most of us were in perfectly fine health. At least, that's how it looked at the time.
After we evaded the sleep watchers, we couldn't sleep properly for several days. Everyone was scared about getting caught in another trap, one that might leave us in an inescapable encounter with the creatures of this world. It didn't help that the black mist that was present when I woke up began following us, always disappearing just as you turned your eyes to it. Sometimes however, you would be able to catch it in the corner of your eye. It never did anything, but at this point, we couldn't take any chances.
We ended up doubling our watch. Now, four people were awake at all times, paired in groups of two. Most of the times I paired with Marie, one of us being the lookout while the other carefully studied the journal. We would switch places when one of us needed a break. One night, I was standing at the door of the carts while Marie was reading.
"Hey, come back here," Marie yelled suddenly, scaring me half to death, "I think I found something!"
I rushed back and sat next to her.
"What is it? What did you find?"
"I think this is the thing that kept following us for the last few days."
"Let me have a look."
Marie's finger pointed at the title of the page. Written in black, bold letters, it read "Mistling". Normally, Ramirez's entries occupied at the minimum two to three pages, including the drawing. In this case however, the entry was only the drawing and a few phrases.
The drawing showed a small portion of the cart, as if you were looking straight at one of the cart doors. It was a very detailed sketch of a cart, drawn with thick lines, which contrasted with the Mistling, who was drawn with very thin lines, giving it an almost aetherial look.
"The Mistling," noted Ramirez, "as I've decided to name them, is a medium-sized floating black mist that can sometimes be found in the subway. It's appearance rate is random, given that it can take a few days to a few months between seeing one. What makes them important, at least important enough to note about them, are the following two constants:
- They're almost always found near a body. Doesn't matter if the person died of natural causes or fell victim to one of the many dangers of the subway, it will be there. I can only assume that in the exceptionally rare cases one is found at random, there is a high likelihood that there was a body in that cart at some point.
- They're always stationary. You could spend weeks in the same cart as them and the mist will always stay in the same area as you found them, the only movement being the constant swirling of the mistling.
Beyond this, neither I nor anyone I have met so far have no clue of what they're deal is. They don't seem dangerous, but I'd be a fool if I trusted any creature in this place. However, as far as other "residents" are concerned, the mistling is harmless enough."
"Well," she said, "seems we have an unusual fellow on our hands."
"Right..." I agreed. "And here I thought we had something..."
"It's still better than nothing." said Marie, putting her hand on my shoulder. I instinctively put my hand on hers.
"Besides," she continued , "not considering this thing's unusual energy, everything else seems to check out. Hopefully, it's still as harmless as Mr. Ramirez said."
"You may be right," I said, "but we'll still need to keep a watch on whatever this Mistling is."
"Obviously. After all, someone I know told me" said Marie in a slightly jokey way while poking my arm, ""you can never be too careful." Quite a few times actually."
I started blushing a little bit. "Come on now, don't make fun of me like that!"
"I'm just teasing you is all." she smiled at me, putting her head on my shoulder, "Besides, I like that careful side of yours. Don't be ashamed of it."
I kept silent while still blushing.
"Even still," she said while yawning and stretching her arms, "I'd take even more of these Mistlings over that green-skin thing any day. That one really gave me the heebie-jeebies. Ugh."
I paused for a second and I turned my head towards her.
"What green-skin thing?"
"Oh, just one of the previous entries in this thing." she said, in a half-asleep voice. "Was a disease if i remember correctly."
"Let me take a look." I said, taking the journal from her hands.
"Knock yourself out, dear..."
"And you should wake up," telling her as I nudged her a bit "we can't go sleep yet!"
"But I'm sitting so comfortable now... Five more minutes, pleaaase..."
"Fiine..." I sighed as I opened the journal, "but you better get up afterwards."
"Yeey."
"Now let's see here... Ah! There it is."
The entry was titled "Green-Skin Disease." The drawing was spread across the two pages of the journal, showing what appeared to be an evolution of a sick man. It started with a picture of a shoulder with a deep, bleeding cut across it, noted as "entry point". That was Stage 0. An arrow pointed to the next picture, Stage 1 written over it. The drawing zoomed out of the shoulder, showing the figure of a normal looking man, scratching his shoulder. The location of the wound had two new scribbles: "green" and "flakey". The next arrow pointed towards a drawing of the same man, Stage 2. This time however, the man looked sick, having sunken eyes and visible bones. The scribbles pointed towards the man's skin, reading "greenish skin" and "yellow veins". After that, the arrow showed the man, barely a skeleton. Stage 3. His skin was noted as "entirely green" with the addition of the word paralyzed next to him. The final arrow pointed to the man, deceased.
I found the imagery disturbing enough, but Ramirez went into detail.
"The Green-skin disease, named after the characteristic shade of green left on the body, is one of the few new bodily afflictions I have encountered as I ventured across the subway. Its deadliness is only matched by its rarity, having had encountered only a few unfortunate souls that suffered from this disease. Ten people I have met, of various age groups and ethnicity, with the only discriminatory factor between them being the age, revealing that the older someone is, the quicker it spreads. Of the ten, only one of them has survived, solely because the group I was in at the time reacted quick enough. All ten of the victims, including the people of the groups some of them were in, have told me what they have been through, providing me with a clear pattern to base my research on. The progression of the disease is as follows:
Infection: For the disease to take place, there needs to be at the very least a tiny amount of Green-Mushrooms present in the area, mature enough to release spores. The Green-Mushrooms look identical to regular mold, making the two indistinguishable. Luckily, the Green-Mushrooms take a while to be mature enough to release spores, dying quickly thereafter. Contributing to its rarity is the fact that the only way for the spores to infect the body is via an open wound in the skin, breathing or ingesting the spores not resulting in an infection. Nevertheless, if a person is unlucky enough to suffer an injury while there are green-spores in the air, the spores will take root on the skin, feeding upon it.
Stage 1: The spores have begun spreading. They have a very slow spreading rate, taking months or even years for it to advance to the next stage. Characteristic of this stage is the steadily growing green patch of skin, even after the closure of the wound. The green skin left by the spores is characterized as slightly itchy, resulting in the sufferer to often scratch themselves, leaving small amounts of green skin flakes that carry spores. This is the only stage where the person infected might still be saved. If you were lucky, the infection began at one of your limbs, making it possible to amputate the infected arm or leg. It is only necessary to amputate from above the infection area downwards, possibly remaining with more of your healthy limb. If you were unlucky and the infection began at a vital area, or you didn't have the tools or knowledge to amputate it on time, the disease will eventually progress to the stage.
Stage 2: The spores have gotten deep enough to reach your circulatory system. Once it's in the blood, the spores will travel all throughout the victim's body, coloring the veins in a sickly yellow and turning the skin to a light green. The person now begins to feel tired and moody, showing signs of fever. They will lose weight despite eating, the energy of the food being sent to the ever-increasing spores inside their body. If there are not enough nutrients for the spores, the disease will begin feeding on the body of the victim. Only after a day or two once stage two has been reached, the victim will enter stage three
Stage 3: This is the final stage of the disease. The spores begin attacking the nervous system, leaving it paralyzed from the neck down, a result of the spores eating the remainder of the victim's nerves and organs. The last organ to go is the brain, resulting in the death of the victim. This stage only lasts an hour.
I have yet to discover a cure for the Green-Skin Disease. The only sure fire way of escaping is to remove the infected area of the body before it reaches the bloodstream. If it reaches the bloodstream, the kindest thing to do for the victim is to kill them painlessly, before they reach the final stage."
My skin began to crawl after finishing the last sentence. I couldn't believe something this insidious could ever exist, but then again, a few months ago I couldn't believe any of this could possibly be real.
"Hey kid, found anything interesting?"
Matt's arrival had brought me back to reality.
"Oh, hey Matt, what are you doing here?"
"Your shift's ended. Me and Nick are taking over, so you and the miss can get some rest, though from the looks of it, she beat me to the punch eh?"
Marie was fully asleep, her head still on my shoulder.
"Yeah, sure. Thanks Matt." I replied.
"No problem kid... Heh," Matt chuckled a little bit, "If I think about it, I'll probably have to stop calling you kid soon."
"What do you mean?"
Matt began smiling. "John told me of your little plan with the rings."
"Shhhh, quiet." I said, as I turned my head to Marie, making sure she was still asleep.
"Don't worry, I've seen that girl. Doubt an earthquake would be able to wake her up."
"I suppose that's fair. Marie was always a heavy sleeper."
"Is that so? Well, better wake her up so she can sleep in a more comfortable place."
I woke Marie up and began leaving Matt and John to their watches.
"Hey Matt?" I asked, just before I exited the cart.
"What's up?" he asked as he sat down on one of the chairs.
"How's the leg?"
"Eh, it's fine. You don't have to worry about it."
"You're still limping though."
"Hey, if you were shot in the leg at my age, you'd probably limp too."
"I suppose that's fair. Are you sure everything's alright?"
"Very sure. Go on now, don't leave the girl waiting. Plus, I have a mighty itch to scratch, so I'd rather you not witness it."
I left as soon as he said that, not wanting to be part of something I thought it might be quite unsightly. As I made my way to Marie, my mind was lost in thought again, trying to remember everything I read today. Because of that, I tripped on one of those metal poles people used to hold onto when the subway was busy, though now without purpose in this endlessly empty place. What caught my eye however was something I saw when I looked on the floor of the cart.
Small, greenish-looking flakes.

2023.06.02 00:17 BingBongTheDoc [Neurotrauma - Help] My negligence is costing artie dolittle's life.
I recently started a singleplayer campaign with a feel cool realism mods like neurotrauma, barotraumatic, dynamiceruopa, hazardous reactos, real sonar etc. Its been fantastic so far, i even found this guy called artie dolittle which has amazingly low skills so i took him in the crew. i couldnt afford to leave him about doing things on his own because my reactor would ofter get low condition and he would just stand there and get radiation poisoning.
At some point during the campaign i learned how to maintain the reactor so i let dolittle do general repairs, he would get zapped and burnt here and there by i was too busy running the sub to go check up on him, i figured the burn injuries where mild and he would eventually get better on his own.
I just reached a station and suddenly i see that dolittle has some concerning symptons on him, shortness of breath, fever, first degree burns at 70%, when i use the scanner it gets even worse, 30% gangrene, and organ damage increasing. If i dont do anything he dies withing minutes of organ failure (all organs).
So i ve tried saving him, i put him on medical drapes, i put a mask and surgeon clothing on my doctor and put artie on a medical bed. ive tried putting antibiotic ointment on the wounds and bandage it, but it does nothing and the gangrene and organ failure advance regardless.
Ive tried amputating both arms but the organ failure continues regardless, tried giving him manna, blood transfusion, everything, but he still dies... i dont want to lose him because i feel guilty of my negligence which caused this, any neurotrauma doctors have any clue as to how to save dolittle?
Screenshot of his symptons:
https://imgur.com/a/sV9RwfL TLDR: Artie Dolittle is dying of gangrene because of burns from fixing random shit with skill 5 on elec and mechanic, need help saving him. please.

2023.06.01 23:47 Healthinspiration Slim Down, Feel Great: Expert Tips for Safe and Effective Weight Loss
| Losing weight is a common goal for many individuals who want to improve their health and boost their self-confidence. However, navigating the world of weight loss can be overwhelming with countless diets, exercise plans, and conflicting information. This post aims to provide you with expert tips for safe and effective weight loss, enabling you to slim down and feel great in a sustainable manner. Alpilean for weigh loss Slim Down, Feel Great: Expert Tips for Safe and Effective Weight Loss 1. Introduction Weight loss is not just about achieving a certain physical appearance; it is primarily about improving your overall health and well-being. Shedding excess pounds can have a profound impact on your cardiovascular health, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, enhance mobility, and boost your energy levels. 2. Understanding Weight Loss The Importance of Weight Loss Maintaining a healthy weight is crucial for your overall health. Excess weight puts strain on your organs, increases the risk of developing conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers, and can negatively impact your mental health. Losing weight can significantly reduce these risks, improve your quality of life, and increase longevity. Health Risks of Being Overweight Carrying excess weight can lead to various health issues, including high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol levels, insulin resistance, sleep apnea, and joint problems. Additionally, obesity is associated with an increased risk of mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. By shedding pounds, you can mitigate these risks and improve your overall well-being. 3. Setting Realistic Goals Assessing Your Current Weight and Health Before embarking on a weight loss journey, it is essential to assess your current weight and health status. Consult with a healthcare professional to determine your body mass index (BMI), which will help identify whether you fall within a healthy weight range or if you are overweight or obese. Determining a Healthy Weight Once you have evaluated your current weight, work with your healthcare provider to determine a healthy weight range for your body type, height, and age. This range will serve as a guideline for your weight loss goals, ensuring that you aim for a realistic and achievable target. Establishing Achievable Goals Break down your weight loss journey into smaller, attainable goals. Rather than focusing on losing a large amount of weight in a short period, aim for gradual and steady progress. Set weekly or monthly goals that are realistic and sustainable. This approach will help you stay motivated and prevent feelings of discouragement. 4. Healthy Eating Habits Balancing Macronutrients A balanced diet is essential for successful weight loss. Focus on incorporating all three macronutrients: carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats. Carbohydrates provide energy, while protein supports muscle growth and repair. Healthy fats, such as those found in avocados and nuts, help with satiety and nutrient absorption. Aim for a well-rounded diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Portion Control Portion control plays a vital role in weight management. Be mindful of the quantity of food you consume and avoid oversized portions. Use smaller plates, bowls, and utensils to trick your mind into thinking you are eating more. Chew slowly and savor each bite, allowing your body to recognize feelings of fullness. Incorporating Whole Foods Processed foods are often high in calories, unhealthy fats, and added sugars. Opt for whole, unprocessed foods whenever possible. These include fruits, vegetables, lean meats, whole grains, and legumes. Whole foods are nutrient-dense and provide essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber that support your overall health and weight loss efforts. Hydration Importance Proper hydration is often overlooked but plays a crucial role in weight loss. Drinking an adequate amount of water helps maintain bodily functions, supports digestion, and can even help control appetite. Aim to drink at least eight glasses of water per day, and consider replacing sugary beverages with water to reduce calorie intake. 5. Regular Physical Activity Types of Exercise for Weight Loss Incorporating regular physical activity into your routine is essential for burning calories, increasing metabolism, and improving overall fitness. Engage in a combination of cardiovascular exercises, such as running, swimming, or cycling, and strength training exercises, such as weightlifting or bodyweight exercises. Cardiovascular exercises help burn calories, while strength training builds lean muscle mass, which can boost your metabolism. Finding Activities You Enjoy To sustain long-term exercise habits, it is important to find activities that you enjoy. Experiment with different forms of exercise to discover what works best for you. It could be dancing, hiking, playing a sport, or joining group fitness classes. When you enjoy the activity, it becomes easier to stay consistent and motivated. Creating a Workout Routine Developing a structured workout routine will help you stay on track with your weight loss goals. Schedule specific times for exercise and treat them as non-negotiable appointments. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity per week, along with two or more days of strength training exercises targeting all major muscle groups. 6. Managing Stress and Emotional Eating Identifying Triggers Stress and emotions can often lead to unhealthy eating habits. It is important to identify the triggers that cause you to turn to food for comfort or as a coping mechanism. Keep a journal to track your emotions and the circumstances surrounding your eating episodes. This awareness can help you develop healthier ways to manage stress and prevent emotional eating. Adopting Stress-Relief Techniques Finding effective stress-relief techniques can help reduce the likelihood of emotional eating. Engage in activities such as meditation, yoga, deep breathing exercises, or engaging hobbies to relax and unwind. These techniques can help alleviate stress and prevent it from negatively impacting your eating habits. Seeking Support Don't hesitate to seek support from friends, family, or professionals. Join support groups or enlist the help of a therapist or counselor who specializes in emotional eating. Having a support system in place can provide encouragement, accountability, and guidance throughout your weight loss journey. 7. Quality Sleep and Weight Loss The Connection between Sleep and Weight Getting enough quality sleep is often overlooked but is crucial for successful weight loss. Poor sleep can disrupt hormonal balance, leading to increased hunger and cravings, decreased metabolism, and reduced energy levels. Aim for 7-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night to support your weight loss efforts. Tips for Better Sleep Establish a consistent sleep schedule by going to bed and waking up at the same time each day. Create a relaxing bedtime routine to signal your body that it's time to unwind. Keep your sleep environment comfortable, dark, and quiet. Avoid caffeine, electronic devices, and stimulating activities before bed. By prioritizing sleep, you can optimize your weight loss journey. 8. Monitoring Progress and Making Adjustments Tracking Your Food Intake and Exercise Keeping track of your food intake and exercise is essential for monitoring progress and making adjustments along the way. Use a food diary or a mobile app to record what you eat, portion sizes, and your physical activity. This information can help you identify patterns, make informed decisions, and stay accountable to your goals. Recognizing Plateaus and Adjusting Strategies Weight loss progress may plateau at times, which can be frustrating. It's important to understand that this is a normal part of the process. When you hit a plateau, reassess your eating habits and exercise routine. Consider making changes, such as increasing the intensity or duration of your workouts, trying new exercises, or modifying your calorie intake. Small adjustments can reignite progress and keep you motivated. 9. Conclusion Embarking on a weight loss journey requires commitment, patience, and a holistic approach. By setting realistic goals, adopting healthy eating habits, engaging in regular physical activity, managing stress, prioritizing sleep, and monitoring your progress, you can achieve safe and effective weight loss. Remember that sustainable weight loss takes time, and focusing on overall well-being is key. Stay motivated, be kind to yourself, and celebrate every milestone along the way. 10. FAQs Is it possible to lose weight without exercise? While exercise is beneficial for weight loss, it is possible to lose weight through dietary changes alone. However, incorporating regular physical activity enhances weight loss, improves overall fitness, and has numerous health benefits. How much weight can I expect to lose per week? Weight loss varies from person to person and depends on various factors such as current weight, metabolism, and adherence to a healthy lifestyle. A safe and sustainable rate of weight loss is around 1-2 pounds per week. Are fad diets effective for weight loss? Fad diets often promise quick results, but they are not sustainable or beneficial for long-term weight loss. Instead, focus on adopting a balanced, nutritious eating plan that you can maintain for the long run. Can weight loss supplements help in the process? Weight loss supplements are not a magic solution for weight loss. While some may offer temporary benefits, the most effective approach is a combination of a healthy diet, regular exercise, and lifestyle changes. Is it okay to indulge in occasional treats while trying to lose weight? Allowing yourself occasional treats in moderation is perfectly fine. It's important to maintain a healthy relationship with food and avoid feelings of deprivation. Enjoying a small treat occasionally can help prevent cravings and promote sustainability. 2023.06.01 23:39 fiddleleaf-fig Crippling burnout from moving / mess
Hello.
As the title mentions I am experiencing burnout. I reckon I have been for some time now.
My partner and I ( both audhd ) moved into our first home together and it’s been really hard to unpack. It took us an entire month to move due to my partner’s ADHD and my wanting to try their way of moving. Learning and whatnot. My partner came with a lot of stuff- I don’t like things ( I do, but they need their own homes- my partner also wants things to have a home ) there’s a room with stuff just thrown into it like border line hoarder. I cannot organize and move things without the help of my partner and they struggle with organizing so it’s just a loop of trying, his overwhelm, failing and literally closing the door. Now I can’t even try- I gave up.
We started at the end of April and it’s now June 1st. I’m heavily impacted by disorganization and I’ve given up completely. I’ve not cleaned since moving in. I’ve not done anything I enjoy- it’s like I can’t because the space isn’t right for enjoyment. I feel like lead and I can hardly communicate- it takes everything I have. I’m not trying to be dramatic when I say this- it’s like waiting to die but it just won’t happen. I’m numb.
I don’t drink water ( trying for various health problems ) or eat ( why cook it’s just more mess ) Everything hurts differently( I’ve seen my doctors they don’t know why ) chest pains are bad. Cognitive decline is hitting, dissociating is worse, loops and noise cancelling headphones aren’t doing anything. Forcing myself through it is more damaging. I can hardly have a conversation with my partner at this point because any topic makes me want to cry or scream.
I was really excited to move- but it’s quickly become my hell. I don’t wish to come home when I / we go out because there’s mess to come back to that will never be gone. Everything I dreamt of happening and doing in my home is gone. I’ve put in a lot in the beginning but there’s nothing to show for it and now I can’t get out of bed.
I’m not sure what to do. Logically, get outside, water, eat. I’m trying, I am. It’s this GD house that I cannot manage any longer and don’t wish to wake up to. I can’t even start on one box or one thing because I have a full on panic attack about it. My therapist wants me to delegate tasks and get the house done in a week. I’m exhausted and that’s even more responsibility I can’t handle. My partner isn’t nearly as bothered by house things- he’s burnt out as well but he doesn’t require the same environmental space as I do to function. He has a space to decompress in. He’s tried to make me space and I really appreciate it. But the sparkle is gone and I just feel dead.
What do you think? Or reckon I should do? Edit: I hope I’m not the only one who gets this way about environmental needs, I feel like I sound insane talking about it. 😭

2023.06.01 22:50 karmaranovermydogma List of LGBTQ/Pride-themed variety cryptic puzzles?
Heya! I love variety cryptic puzzles and since it's June I was wondering if people knew of variety cryptic with any LGBTQ / Pride themes? Some examples of what I'm talking about to get things started!
I mostly do American cryptics but I'm happy to try other countries' cryptics too!
"Positioning" by Gregg Katz (Queer Qrosswords 2 — suggested $10+ donation to an LGBTQ+ charity for the packet)
In this variety cryptic, Across answers can be tops, bottoms, or versatile. Eight top answers give up a letter to one of eight bottom answers, each becoming a new word before being entered in the grid. (Two pairs of tops and bottoms are nonmonogamous, and exchange the same letter.) Six versatile answers trade one letter with another versatile answer to form new words prior to entry. The unclued entry at 20-Across will reveal your role in all this. Across enumerations are withheld. Clued answers may include proper nouns, and modified entries include one proper noun. Down clues are entered normally.
"LGBTQIA+" by Francis Heaney (AVCX Cryptic — $1.00):
Happy Pride! The clues and entries in this puzzle are nonconformists in many ways:
1) Across clues are not numbered; you must determine their grid locations. (They are ordered alphabetically by answer.) Each Across clue also has an extraneous letter that must be removed before solving (not necessarily leaving a new word, and possibly requiring words to be respaced); the removed letter will correspond to the color of the flag stripe in which its answer is located (R, O, Y, G, B, or V). Down clues are numbered normally.
2) All but 12 answers, Across and Down, must have a letter added (either L, G, B, T, Q, I, or A) before being entered into the grid to make a new word or phrase; we’ll refer to these answers as LGBTQIA+. The remaining 12 answers are entered normally with no modifications. Enumerations are withheld. Tags apply to answers but not necessarily to grid entries.
3) The crossing letters of six Across and six Down LGBTQIA+ entries do not match; replace those letters with 2- or 3-letter strings to make new words in both directions. (Since the mismatched letters are unchecked, as an aid in confirmation, they can be anagrammed to LEAGUE ABODES.)
4) Every clue contains an extra definition (either a word or phrase) that must be removed before solving; in the case of LGBTQIA+ answers, the extra word or phrase defines the modified grid entry. In the 12 clues with unmodified answers, the extra word or phrase defines one of the new words made after following instruction 3; you must determine which.
5) When the grid is complete, read the added 2- and 3-letter strings from left to right to reveal something important to both crosswords and LGBTQIA+ activism.
In this variety cryptic, the answers are entered as usual. However, each clue has a queer letter that needs to come out (i.e. be removed) before the clue can be solved. These letters, read in clue order, reveal a message that’s important for Pride Month (or any month!).
"Tag Yourself!" by Amanda Rafkin, David Gold, and Finn Vigeland (avid puzzler — Free)
In this alignment chart of a cryptic, Down entries (for which enumerations are withheld) must be modified, always forming new words or names before grid entry. Gay entries (columns 1-3) “walk fast,” and need to have a letter advanced one place in the alphabet (ex. BOMER > BONER). Bi entries (columns 4-6) “tuck their shirts in,” moving their first letter somewhere else in the word (ex. ACME > CAME). Lesbian entries (columns 7-9) “call a U-Haul,” gaining or losing a U somewhere in the word (ex. LUTE <-> LTE).
Thanks for any suggestions for puzzles to look into!

2023.06.01 22:26 th3acer22 Does it all seem like too much sometimes?
I have never been in or heard of a professional industry where your entire job is just getting yanked around by clients at every turn. They want budgets in weeks for plans they have been working on for years. They want a la carte add alternates and unit prices that they can mix and match however they feel fit even though many are price dependent on which ones get accepted. They want to shift every iota of risk onto the contractor whenever possible. I have yet to hear of another industry where the client is allowed to tell the provider of services what their maximum profit margin can be, whether it be on the initial contract or change orders. Then if you make it through the first 50 hoops they still make you drop your pants and nitpick every dollar. 100 plans, 1000 pages of specs, 2-3 weeks, and we won't answer half your questions. Any other organization operating in any other industry with dignity would not waste their time but this is what we have to chase in this one?
My wife is a therapist, can you imagine if a client walked into her office and asked to see her full overhead breakdown and told her she can only tack on 10% fee? Or that they want a 15-minute session and that they want to be charged by the minute not per session. They would get told no that is not how we do business here.
Parents own a restaurant, are people allowed to go in and tell them what they can charge for different dishes? Or go in during lunch service and tell them they need their food within three minutes? They would get told the food will be ready when the kitchen can get to their order.
What makes all of this acceptable in construction? Maybe I am genuinely missing something. I know the stakes and profits are higher, is that why it is acceptable? However, as a worker, that does not benefit us. I know bartenders who make more than I do. My wife makes more than me and works almost half as many hours.
What is the point of this job? To just solve a convoluted puzzle fabricated by the owner and architect while dodging every landmine in a race to the bottom?

Thomas's voice filled with disbelief as he stared at the multitude of screens scattered across mission control. The words displayed on each one spelled out a chilling truth: Loss of Communications.
"What do you mean he's GONE?" he exclaimed, his tone a mix of shock and desperation. He turned to Samantha, one of the mission directors, seeking answers.
Samantha's voice mirrored his urgency as she replied, "Exactly as it sounds! One moment, the Emissary 1 was there, and then a blinding flash lit up the entire western hemisphere. And then... the ship simply vanished!"
A wave of uncertainty swept through the room, mingling with the growing panic. Amidst the chaos, a voice cried out, "Could it have been an attack?"
The room fell into a hushed silence as everyone contemplated the grim possibility. Another voice, filled with unease, spoke up, "We can't say for certain, but what other explanation could there be?"
The atmosphere in the crowded mission control building grew increasingly tense as the weight of the situation settled upon them all.
"Quick! Someone get on the Deep Space Network and try to establish a lock on Emissary 1's telemetry!" Jacob's voice boomed, commanding the attention of the room. He, one of the chief technicians responsible for the Emissary 1's operating system, furiously pounded away at his workstation, driven by a mixture of urgency and determination.
Responding to his call, the room swiftly transformed into an organized arrangement of technicians and mission directors, each taking their positions at their respective workstations. The air buzzed with focused activity as they began coordinating with one another, their collective efforts aimed at unraveling the mystery of the Emissary 1's fate.
Throughout mission control, a palpable sense of purpose pervaded the atmosphere. Underneath the surface of worry and uncertainty, there lay an unyielding resolve to discover the truth and find a resolution. Each person, driven by a shared mission, channeled their skills and expertise into the urgent task at hand.
The room plunged into a renewed state of panic as one by one, the workstations confirmed the grim reality. There was no telemetry, no engine wake, no trace of the Emissary 1 to be found. A suffocating silence settled over the room, heavy with fear and uncertainty. It was in this disheartening moment that the ominous red phone began to ring, its shrill sound cutting through the air like a siren.
Samantha sprang into action, rushing toward the phone with a mix of trepidation and determination. She swiftly lifted the receiver, holding it against her ear, as the room held its breath, their collective gaze fixed upon her.
The voice on the other end of the line conveyed urgent information that sent shivers down everyone's spines. Exotic energy, unlike anything ever witnessed before, had been detected at the precise moment of the blinding flash. The gravity of the situation deepened as Samantha relayed the words to the room.
"That was a representative of the United Nations. They are now treating this as a hostile encounter," Samantha's voice trembled slightly, mirroring the growing anxiety in the room. Gasps and worried exclamations echoed through the space, punctuating the rising tension.
Samantha paused, allowing the commotion to subside, before continuing with a weighty tone. "We have thirty minutes to ascertain the status of Emissary 1 and its pilot. If we can't, or the answer is anything other than 'alive and well'... they're prepared to launch a nuclear strike against the alien craft."
A stunned silence fell over mission control, the gravity of their predicament sinking in. The room teetered on the edge of chaos, emotions swirling in a turbulent mix of fear, urgency, and resolve.
In the face of the mounting pressure and dwindling time, Thomas stepped forward, his voice filled with determination and a touch of realism.
“We have to do something. We've come this far, we can't succumb to despair now! The world is counting on us, Deckard Conroy is definitely counting on us!", he declared, his words carrying a resolute but measured tone.
His rallying cry resonated with the weary souls in the room, rekindling a glimmer of hope. The technicians and mission directors exchanged glances, their expressions shifting from resignation to a newfound determination. They rallied together, forming a united front against the impending doom.
With renewed vigor, they poured over the data once again, dissecting every piece of information, searching for the slightest clue that could unveil the fate of the Emissary 1. The minutes ticked away, but their resolve remained unyielding.
And then, amidst the sea of despair, a flicker of hope emerged. The screen lit up with fragments of telemetry, a faint signal amidst the vast emptiness of space. Excitement rippled through mission control as they worked tirelessly to amplify the signal, desperate to establish a connection.
Just as the screen displayed a clearer image, capturing a glimpse of the Emissary 1's survival, the clock reached its final countdown. Sirens blared, their shrill wails piercing through the air, as a sense of impending doom settled over the room.
Eyes widened as a nearby silo erupted in a fiery plume, launching a nuclear missile into the sky. The world map, positioned prominently in the center of mission control, began to illuminate with a cascade of red dots, indicating missiles being launched all across the globe.
A mixture of disbelief and horror washed over the room as they grappled with the realization that the nuclear strike, once an abstract threat, was now a harrowing reality. Panic gripped everyone, turning the celebration into chaos.
Amidst the turmoil, Samantha dialed every UN number she could think of, even though she knew it was pointless now.
Everyone watched in disbelief as all the red dots on the global map converged on a single point in orbit. Somebody in mission control screamed, pointing upwards at the sky through the large bay windows set in the front of the building.
Several fiery blooms erupted all at once, so bright that they were visible from the ground. The horrifying spectacle unfolded for several minutes, the explosions in orbit unleashing atomic devastation.
As the explosions ceased, mission control fell silent. Everyone in the building had come to the same conclusion. The alien ship was destroyed, and with it, any chance of finding Emissary 1.
Samantha, tears streaming down her face, whispered softly, "Poor Deckard… I can’t imagine what he must be thinking right now…"

2023.06.01 20:53 winniep17 Advice Needed!
I am feeling overwhelmed and need any advice, reassurance, etc. on my current job situation. I will preface with the fact that I have only been working here for almost exactly three months.
I'm currently working as a full-time sourcer (full title: Talent Acquisition Specialist) for my company. My main responsibilities include sourcing RN's, LVN's, and occasionally therapists for 11 different locations, including numerous cities and towns within these locations, and really two different companies. Additionally, I handle job listing updates and perform administrative tasks in Wordpress.
As part of my role, I was given control over all social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and TikTok. These accounts currently have low engagement and require attention to build our online presence from scratch. I'm responsible for creating every post and graphic, as well as reaching out internally for new content, and going to events for content. My primary focus is on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn at the moment.
Recently, we acquired another company in a different state. I've taken over their social media accounts as well, which are in the same business category but differ in terms of content. I'm also involved in sourcing for this company now.In addition to these tasks, I've been designated as the representative for our company in college outreach. This involves finding colleges with relevant degrees for our hiring needs, reaching out to colleges, participating in job fairs and events, and communicating with their representatives.
Furthermore, I'm now being assigned more communication and operations tasks as I transition towards a marketing role. These tasks include ordering brochures and promotional items for job fairs and events, as well as finding and attending events as a company representative. These events are located in various places, requiring overnight stays and using my own vehicle without discussing reimbursement options with the company.
To summarize the timeline of my responsibilities:
- Initially hired as a sourcer with associated tasks.
- Given control over all social media accounts.
- Responsible for content creation and collection.
Acquisition of another company. - Managing social media for both companies.
- Engaging with colleges, attending fairs, and representing our company.
- Operations (ordering brochures, marketing material, etc)
- Finding and organizing events.
Bottom line: there are immense amounts of small tasks to be done.
I'm seeking advice on whether my workload is too overwhelming for a new position or if it's just part of the learning process. I feel like I'm juggling multiple tasks and roles simultaneously. Although I don't want to complain, I must mention that my current salary is 55k with a slight bonus, totaling around 60k. This is my first job, and I received minimal training (only two days of training with recruiters). I primarily do what is asked of me or what I believe needs to be done.
Lately, I've noticed that my work is not up to par, and it's becoming evident. For instance, my boss scheduled an 8 am meeting for me at 7 am and got upset when I missed the invitation. I've been feeling overwhelmed, and it's starting to take a toll.
Lastly, I want to mention that this is my first corporate role after college. I've been in this position since March 2023, which is approximately three months. Despite interacting with various leaders who assume I have a comprehensive understanding of the company's operations, I often find myself overwhelmed due to the lack of training and communication. I feel pressure to know everything.
To provide some additional context, I hold a bachelor's degree in business marketing and management, as well as a master's in business administration (MBA).
I would greatly appreciate any insight on whether my workload is excessive, whether I should discuss this with my boss, or if I should consider requesting a raise. Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

2023.06.01 19:49 Matt_Oliveira My thoughts on season 3
Now that the show is seemingly over, here are my thoughts on season 3. Starting off with the negatives first.
What I hated:
1.) A scene in episode 3x10. At some point toward the end of that episode they make a sly comparison between Roy and Rupert which felt weird. Roy is not at all like Rupert
2.) Every trope and cliche they managed to avoid the previous two seasons, they, for some reason, went all in on this season. Back to back to back to back.-
Roy and Keeley breaking up, unnecessary. Why can't we have a nice, cute, organic relationship that isn't riddled with FUCKING DRAMA?!?! And top it all off, they don't even get back together in the end. I mean, WHAT THE FUCK?!?!
Michelle dating the therapist, unnecessary. Season 1 did such a good job of not vilifying her character inspite of her initiating the divorce. They should've let the story stay amicable. I feel like her dating the therapist undoes all of that, especially since it's quite possible that he was the one that could've manipulated her into divorcing Ted so he could slide in.
3.) Unnecessary characters-
Jack was an Unnecessary storyline that should've never happened
Shandy was annoying and served no purpose at all
Zava at the very least had some funny moments but even he felt redundant and useless
Edwin Akufo was ok in season 2 but he didn't need to come back
4.) Keely's character felt very seperated this season-
Keeley was always the glue for all the major characters and even though she had scenes with them, it felt more separated this season. she still felt isolated from everyone. I don't know why, but it just felt different
5.) The Finale just felt like a huge "fuck you" to everyone. That's all I'm gonna say about that because this post will be too long if I say everything that's on my mind about the finale.
What I Enjoyed:
1.) Roy and Jamie's friendship-
This was easily one of my favorite parts of this season. Their friendship this season was both hysterical and endearing. What a huge difference in their relationship in comparison to season 1.
2.) Sam and Simi-
I liked their dynamic together.
3.) Collins Story-
Very well done story and I like the friendship with Trent that came of it. Glad he got his happy ending.
4.) Trent integrating with Ted and the team-
I liked Trent's journey with Ted these past 3 seasons. Season 1 he begrudgingly takes a liking to Ted. Season 2 is when we see the mutual respect from both men truly grow. Season 3 he integrates with the team and a true friendships starts between him and Ted.
5.) Ted and Beard's backstory-
This was cool to see because it adds context to their friendship and it gives Beard some character development.
6.) Nate and Jade-
I really like Jade. She brings outer a softer side to Nate when we've become so accustomed to his douchebag side.
7.) Jamie's relationship with his mom-
It was nice seeing his mom after all his references toward her the past two seasons. I really liked the close relationship that they had.
What I would've liked to have seen but I'm not upset about:
1.) More Sassy and Nora-
Sassy is a fun character and it'd be cool if she was a more regular character rather than having a guest appearances once or twice in a deason
Nora was a nice addition in season 2 and I liked the relationship between her and Rebecca. That dynamic would've nice to build more
2.) More Dr. Sharon Fieldstone-
I wish she was a apart of the main cast
Overall Thoughts:
This season had a bit of a rough start the definitely picked up later on only to, unfortunately, fall flat in its final episode. It's a shame that they ended things on such a sour note, especially after two fantastic seasons prior. It felt like so many mistakes this season could've been avoided this season but they went out of their way to deliberately fuck things up. I truly don't understand why

2023.06.01 18:49 El_Soportar Becoming a dad (first time) - so many feelings!
Guys I (37M) am becoming a dad! That's pretty cool. I tried to write this post as readable as I can, but my emotions and thoughts are all over the place right now.
I would say I am a pretty calm guy, can be rational, can be in touch with my emotions. Today I am a little overwhelmed. It is still very early in the pregnancy (9th week) but today I saw a heartbeat on the ultrasound for the first time and even if it sounds super cliche - something changed for me!
I've always wanted kids. I lost my own dad when I was nine years old, due to a traffic accident. I met my current gf two years ago, while I was already separated. Got divorced last year, we moved in together last summer. She quit smoking in December. We always joked that that was the last obstacle. Two months ago she was late on her period, I bought a pregnancy test, she woke me up at 5am to tell me it was positive.
80% of the time I am excited and just happy. The other 20% are rough and the reason why I am posting here.
- I am super scared to f*** it up!
- I am scared that I will be selfish
- I am scared that I will lose my life
- I am scared that the relationship might suffer
- I have no clue what the the hell I am doing. I should though. I am a licensed educator and about to be a licensed social worker as well. I am good with kids. And teenagers. They like me, I like them. I know a lot of the stuff there is to know. I've changed diapers for a living. But I am feeling so lost right now, I am crying.
You all have probably heard or read stuff like this 1000 times, so thanks for all of those who read through it all. Sorry if this does not fit in this /r. I don't even know why I am posting here, it should all work out. Our close family and closest friends know. I'm gonna tell my therapist tomorrow. The last two weeks have been the most exciting of my life. I don't know why I am crying.

2023.06.01 17:51 goblingirlscout Resources/information for uncovering hidden CSA trauma
The primary "clue" being, strong somatic flashbacks of the abuse. I actually feel the pain and panic like it was happening all over again. Sometimes it's so painful I can't even stand up. I think this happened age 0-4. I have no memory but my body remembers.
I know this happened. I'm obsessed with knowing who did it.
I've had all of the EMDR and CBT therapy. Nothing helps. I can't crack it.
I started IFS recently, no therapist as I cannot afford any more specialist therapy.
So I'm on my own with this.
But i am having more success with IFS than in all the decades of other therapy methods I've tried.
Does anyone know resources that may help?

2023.06.01 17:37 otempora1 How unusual is this guy (34M) I'm hooking up with?
So I (32F) am freshly out of a 9-year relationship very much against my will and have met someone (M34) who I'm hooking up with. I'm not ready to date anyone and my ex, despite being the one that left one, in retrospect was absent, inconsiderate and took no steps to make me feel loved or special so it could be that my standards are way too low. Anyone, my basic question is whether or not he is as unique among cis dudes as I think he might be.
This guy has:
- Seen a therapist of his own volition for three years. He said that he'd flunked a test at school, got mad about it and kicked his car, and then realized he needed to do better for himself and signed up for therapy. I caught Ex secretly stopping therapy twice after he promised me he would see a therapist.
- Meticulously trained his Covid puppy. This dog can go get her collar, give a high five, heel, knows at least 60 commands. His two cats poop in the toilet.
- Maintains a very clean apartment. It's uncluttered, there are no dishes in the sink and it's very relaxing. He washes his sheets and his towels.
- He just generally tries. He flat out asked me what my love languages were and has gone out of his way to get me small gifts (a shirt, picking up my favorite kind of ice cream to keep at his place) in response to the answer to those questions.
- Asks me regularly how I'm feeling about things, things with my Ex, my family, and how things are going with the two of us. After almost a decade with my ex, who would never start or even participate in any conversation about feelings, ever (he literally dumped me on a 4 minute phone call at work and then blocked me, literally never speaking to me again, for the stated reason that he didn't want to listen to me cry or have a conversation of any kind about the end of our relationship, in previous conflicts I would ask him how he was feeling and he would just stare at me and say literally. nothing.), this seems basically magical.
- Was very kind and not freaked out at all when I started crying on him when we were having sex due to Ex Feelings. Noticed I was not doing great, stopped, cuddled with me, had his dog cuddle with me and played a funny song on the speaker until I'd calmed down. Said I had nothing that I needed to apologize for. Shockingly continued to call me back after this incident.
- Suggests and schedules fun activities for us to do together. Ex would only attend plans that I had made.
- Maintains a calendar of these activities and obligations to stay organized.
- Texts me back very promptly. Every time and if it takes a couple hours he politely explains that he was napping. And texts me good morning and good night.
- Just politely asks for things he wants. Asks me to text him good morning. Asked me if we could be sleeping with each other exclusively (which I said was fine.) With a refreshing skip of the power dynamics this stuff usually entails, just flat out asked me if we could start officially dating and was very calm and understanding when I told him it was way too soon after my last relationship (I still have random hysterical crying jags 4- 50 times a week) for anything of the sort.
- Tells me things that he likes about me. Says stuff like, "I really appreciate you" or "I'm a huge fan of you" or "I feel really safe around you" but it isn't cringey at all because he's so sincere.
- Very open about everything. Has volunteered a lot of unflattering and painful details about his distant past and relationships.
- Very considerate and fun lay.
- Says that he thinks friendships with exes are a "green flag". He encourages me to, if I think it might add something to my life, to pursue a friendship with Ex when I am emotionally ready.
- He is also very good to people he doesn't want to have sex with. Planned an elaborate Magic-themed surprise birthday party for his friend. Invited my very awkward male housemate (whom he is refreshingly unthreatened by) out to Magic because I mentioned I was worried that he was lonely.
He's not perfect. He's more into weed (though works part time and is a fulltime PhD student, so not to the detriment of his life) and spirituality than I would prefer. He's a little uptight about neatness and organization.
Anyway. How unusual is this guy? Have I just been with someone who was pretty immature for so long that a man that functions as an adult seems incredible?
Very interested in other perspectives, particularly from people that have had serious relationships with more than one person.

2023.06.01 17:01 Martyr_Missions Undiagnosed Adults- Where do we get help!!?
Hello! I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this or give me some advice if they have been at this point. I am in my 20s and based in the US.
I believe I am on the autism spectrum and didn’t receive the care or attention I needed as a child. I am female (you know how that goes) and Mexican (notoriously ignorant to mental health and invisible disabilities)and from a low income household (bad insurance) so I honestly believe I was pushed under the radar for these reasons. I am basing this diagnosis not only on my symptoms, but my therapist who brought it up to me after I was telling her things I would do in my childhood (adopting other people’s traits and dialogue to emulate “normalcy “, my meltdowns and organization compulsion) and her then asking me if I was autistic. We then went through the handbook together and I had all of the symptoms. Since she was not a psychologist or specialist she couldn’t help me. I went to my local Autism Center which provided free screenings and was told I had a high chance of being autistic, but since I am an adult I am not able to get a proper diagnosis so easily as most psychologists specialize in diagnosing young children.
I feel like without being taught proper ways to deal with this from a young age I am at a huge disadvantage in life. I feel stunted and alone. I still depend on my mother for care and feel I am not able to support myself. Because of my poor communication skills I bomb more interviews for potential jobs than I would like. I believe with a proper diagnosis I can get the resources and support I need to move forward in life.
Any advice on how to deal with this would be greatly appreciated!

2023.06.01 16:44 PANDADA Told my wife we need to separate a few days ago...
So this is going to be long as I feel it's always important to share the full background of our relationship and what we have been through together.
Me (39/f) and my wife (35/f) have been together for 16 years, married for nearly 10. We are an interracial couple as well, her mom (her dad was probably okay with us but just went along with mom) never liked me because I'm white (among other issues) and always threatened to disown my wife if she stayed with me. Eventually we got married though (her parents didn't come to the wedding) and over time her mom seems to tolerate me now.
After my wife's dad passed away suddenly in 2013 (two months after we got married - her mom told her it was her fault, that the stress she caused them by marrying me gave her dad a heart attack; of course that's not true though!), my wife went through an existential crisis and then told me she wanted to transition (she was presenting male at that point). She told me early on when we were dating that she liked to cross dress and I had asked her how deep it went, did she think she was transgender, etc. and she told me at that time that she had previously thought about it, but was okay living life as a boy. What she didn't share at that time though was that she was okay with it because she thought when she'd die that she'd be a girl in heaven because you can be anything you want in heaven. So when her dad died, she faced her own mortality (this was the first person she ever lost in life, so that's a really heavy one as a first 😞) and started questioning what if there's no heaven, etc and decided she better transition so she can live without any regrets. This all came out in early summer 2014 after months of her pulling away from me, suddenly telling me sex was disgusting (after having been very sexual previously), a switch was flipped, and she no longer wanted to have sex ever again. I had no clue what was happening and she kept refusing therapy, etc and I finally broke down one night and asked if she wanted to divorce and she said no, so then I asked WTF was going on and THEN she told me she had been thinking about transitioning for months.
Unfortunately I had a horrible knee jerk reaction from the shock and dealing with the previous other stuff on top of it and said we'd divorce if she did that. 😓 It was really hard on me for a while, and I was still trying to figure it all out, while she was going full speed ahead because she had been thinking about it for months, while it was still new info to me. So essentially I eventually finally stopped thinking "I don't want to be with a woman", and started thinking "can I be with her?" And my mind shifted and when I told her I wanted to stay, but then she told me she wanted to separate and didn't think she felt the same way about me anymore. She essentially pushed me away again because as she later explained it to me, she was already accepting it was over before. We separated, she was staying with her brother temporarily and I moved out of the apartment the day before our first wedding anniversary. We had everything separated and the only thing left to do was make it legal, so when I told her to start looking for a mediator, she asked if we could hold off so she could figure out what she really wanted. 😓 Of course that made me angry. So to wrap up this part of the story, eventually she agreed to do couples counseling, we worked things out, she explained that she got turned off by sex because she knew I only saw her as a man at the time (before I even knew she wanted to transition) and we got back together. I moved back in with her in early 2015, even had a second wedding and renewed our vows in 2018. So essentially ever since early 2015, things have been great. Very happy, no conflict between us at all. Not even during covid.
Then last year she told me she was was suddenly thinking about death again. It was keeping her up at night and consuming her. I have since found out that it actually started in 2020, but she didn't say anything to me about it until last year! She told me she didn't tell me because she didn't want to drag me down with her. I encouraged her to go back to therapy and she did. She started reading books about Buddhism and Taoism too. Then out of no where, in early March, she asked to talk and said she thinks she's bisexual and polyamorous now and then said she wanted to explore this with her two best friends. 😩 My heart immediately shattered. She sees these friends a lot, in fact they're really the only two friends she sees. She told me she has no idea if they even return her feelings or if their even interested in poly relationships at all. They're both cis hetero men and they know she's trans. She also works with one of them. She actually worked with both of them, that's how she met them, but the friend she feels closest to just left the company a few months ago. She said she also knows it's a risk she might lose them as friends too, but just feels like she has to try. I asked her if she'd actively seek other partners if they turned her down and she said no.
This all came out while she's been dealing with her extreme fear of death. She's recently started seeing a new therapist for possible existential OCD. She and I both believe she has ADHD as well, symptoms definitely add up now that I've heard from friends/read more about it, but she hasn't sought to get an actual diagnosis yet. But essentially she told me, she was feeling this void in life (but I guess if you're so consumed by fear of death that it's likely you might feel a void in life?) and now all her views on life has changed - she no longer sees the world as black and white, she has let go of all boundaries and barriers and has let go of all attachments (this seems to be a Buddhism thing?). Her purpose now is to spread joy to people and make sure the people she loves are happy and fulfilled. She basically said she thought about a Chinese drama show she watched as a kid that involved a man having multiple wives, and a love and sex class in college that discused poly - why do we even have rules in life, etc and that "poly isn't bad" and "love isn't a bad thing". Her previous therapist asked her if she had anyone in mind to explore this with, she said she didn't. So then she intentionally thought who would she even explore this with (before saying anything to me), and then landed on these two friends because she "doesn't know anyone else". And then suddenly, poof she has romantic feelings for them? 😵💫 She has such strong feelings that exploring polyamory was the solution to her void, her focus is all on deepening connections with people now (except for me I guess?).
Essentially I'm 100% not okay with this and very monogamous and I've made it clear that if she HAS to explore this, we will have to divorce because I'll be miserable. I'm absolutely devastated after everything we've been through together and marrying twice, but I know I can't force her to stay either and she certainly can't force me to be okay with polyamory. She agreed to stop talking to these two friends while we tried to figure everything out so she hasn't even spoken to them since late March. She can't even say if she still has feelings for them right now since "she hasn't spoken to them for a while". She has been saying she wants to stay together, but because she had such strong feelings about this when she landed on it in her head, she's worried it'll resurface in the future. I just feel like there's multiple things going on and I had asked her weeks ago, what is her concern about not getting to explore polyamory and she literally said "it comes back to my issue with death". She's apparently accepted she's going to die, it's inevitable, but she's atheist now and believes there's nothing after death so if there's no memories or anything, then it's about what can she do with the one life she has to live? She said she wants to be able to experience and do everything she thinks she wants to try so she can look back on her life on her deathbed and say "at least I tried everything". This all comes across as a coping mechanism to me. 😞 But maybe I'm wrong and just in denial? Our couples counselor asked her if she feels stifled in our marriage and she said no. She confirmed she's 100% happy with me, there's nothing missing in our relationship, and there's nothing I need to do better, I do everything great. I just can't understand the mindset to throw away something you're 100% happy with, just to try something else. She even admitted she knows it might not work out, she may lose her friends, polyamory may not be what she thinks it is, but she just feels like she needs to TRY since she's so fixated on how she'll feel on her death bed in the future - and not trying something in her mind means she'll have regret at the end of her life and she wants to avoid that at all costs.
I know she doesn't want to lose me and says she wants to stay, but it's really hard for me to try to rebuild trust and she said she's lost faith in herself to commit again because of what's happened, she's worried she could be fine for another 5, 10+ years and then suddenly it might resurface that she has to explore poly.
Btw, she also did barely any research about polyamory before deciding she wanted to explore it and told me about it. So her decision/action was all based on what she's imagined in her head. It comes across as a coping mechanism to me about her issue with death and trying to make it "okay", but maybe I'm in denial? I'm 2014 she had started to drink and even tried vaping (she never smoked before) to try to cope with her discomfort. When I asked her to separate, I reminded her of that she asked if she has even considered this might be a coping mechanism and she said "maybe..." so I just told her she should probably explore that in therapy then.
She also told me that in order for her to consider other romantic relationships, it MUST be a deep connection in friendship first before she would try to make it romantic (but that's not even how we got together). So that just seemed odd to me, because if you start off platonic for a while anyway, there's no guarantee the other person will just magically develop feelings? And like you're going to intentionally try to make friends with poly people and tell them it needs to be platonic until she feels a deep connection, then she might consider making it romantic? 😵💫
So on Sunday night, I just told her I can't do this anymore. I can't sit here being lovey-dovey, saying I love you, making travel plans in the future like everything is fine. I told her I feel like I'm sitting here watching her stand in a doorway with one foot in and one foot out of our marriage and that she could leave at any moment. She's paralyzed, doesn't want to lose me because she IS very happy with me, but can't let go of the idea of exploring polyamory because then she's worried how she'll feel on her death bed the she didn't try it.
Btw, I don't think poly is inherently bad/wrong, it's just not something I want and my needs won't be met in the relationship. I even told her she may realize HER needs may no longer be met in the poly dynamic. I told her that our relationship is pretty conflict free (outside her existential crisises) and I don't want to throw a wrench into that by inviting possible conflict from her other relationships and how that could impact ours. It just seems too risky and I don't to deal with it. I've also spoken with poly friends on social media who have also gone through really horrible experiences, and I even met a woman last night who is going through divorce because she and her husband opened their relationship and it went horribly, her husband lied/cheated and now they're divorcing. She was the one who was curious about it too and said she's never doing it again.
Anyway, that's my story. I'm trying to focus on me now, in therapy and trying to deal with all the trauma. Trying to make new friends and fill up my time so I'm not sitting at home dwelling on it. It's definitely really hard to just move forward without the person I've been with for 16 years though and thought we'd be together forever, especially after everything we went through before. But while it's hard to imagine a future without her, it's also hard to imagine a future with her like this. 😞💔 Just trying to take it one day at a time right now. I'm going to go visit my aunt for a week on Saturday, so I'm looking forward to that.
Sending support and sympathy to everyone going through this. 💖

2023.06.01 16:10 graywolt Total Flipped Action - Total Drama, Drama, Drama, Drama Island & Monster Cash
| Ella wins Total Drama Island! Ella wins Total Drama Island in a 10-2 vote. When Dawn sings "You've Got a Best Buddy" from Toybox Film, Ella is able to get that last bit of motivation & outrun Jasmine to win Total Drama Island. Ella is crying tears of joy & can't believe that she won. Scott says that he can't wait for his money, & Anne Maria throws her can of hairspray at him to shut him up. Beardo, Sierra, & Staci start chanting "Ella", which gets everyone besides Scarlett, Alejandro, & Scott, who is nursing his bruise, to cheer. Alejandro is still in the outhouse, now wondering who won while fiddling with the door. Zoey consoles Jasmine, saying that at least she gets about c$2,300, & the fact half of the money will be going to charity. Jasmine goes up to Ella, & thanks her for the money she got, & says that Ella was a great competitor. At the final campfire ceremony, Chris announces Ella as the winner of Total Drama Island. Ella cheers and receives her check and the final marshmallow. Ella puts the marshmallow in her pocket, saying that she'll keep it for the memories. Geoff comments that it's time for them to do something, to which Beardo, Geoff, & Owen dump Chris in the lake to the cheers of the other campers and Chef. When the boys chase after Chef to throw him in the lake next, Jasmine asks if Ella liked seeing Chris dumped in the lake. She giggles, saying yes. The camera pans out from Jasmine & Ella, revealing the boys chasing after Chef in the background. Later, Alejandro finally breaks out of the bathroom, just in time to head on the boat to the playa. The episode begins with the campers throwing a final party at Playa Des Losers on their last day before they have to go back home and return to their normal routines: Brick, Cameron, & Owen are playing Beardo, Harold, & Max in a game of ultimate frisbee, Staci & Sierra are chatting over burgers, & Anne Maria is blatantly staring at Alejandro. In the confessional, Alejandro is asking why Anne Maria is still infatuated with him despite the fact he literally eliminated her. Anne Maria comes in & says it's the fact that he's hot. Back at the party, Izzy is feasting herself on marshmallows and soda, which she ends up barfing from, but goes for more, which somehow charms Owen. Alejandro is saying that he has no clue how he is going to face his family like this, & hates that his older brother Jose has another thing to dunk on him with. We cut back to the frisbee game, & Brick tosses the frisbee to Cameron in the end zone. Cameron catches it & gains a point while jumping & cheering wildly. Dawn & Zoey are watching & cheering. He asks if this is what organized sports are like, & Brick says yes. Suddenly, Chris arrives holding a briefcase and offers the campers one final challenge: a race to find a briefcase that contains one-million dollars. The challenge is to locate the briefcase and bring it back to the Dock of Shame. Chris sweetens the deal saying that Ella can keep the initial 100k & still play. Ella immediately runs off with Beardo to find the million, but no one else budges. When Chris says that Ella & Beardo are about to win a very easy million, they finally budge, but not before it turns into a 20-person pile-up. Cameron suggests that maybe they could share it, but everyone besides Dawn & Brick is still bickering. They all untangle themselves, & get into the following groups: Sierra, Staci, & Sadie Cameron & Dawn Katie & Geoff Anne Maria & Alejandro (in the confessional, the latter's eye is twitching) Sky, Zoey, Jasmine, & Trent Owen, Izzy, & Max Brick & Harold Scott & Scarlett are the only ones that lack partners, so they begrudgingly team up. After two hours pass by without anyone finding the suitcase, Chris gives the first clue about its location over the loudspeakers: "It's just hanging around." The case is then seen hanging from a tree branch. Alejandro is seen walking around the woods with Anne Maria, paparazzi, who can't concentrate because she keeps staring at him. Then, wandering with Owen & Max, Izzy thinks it'd be a great idea to think like a tree to find the case, hanging from it and singing. Max asks how Owen puts up with this as Izzy is insane, which Owen replies with "insanely hot" Scarlett & Scott reach where Owen, Izzy, & Max are, & overhear where Izzy thinks the case is. Scott hops onto the tree & tries to hijack the vine, getting into a slapfight with Izzy. Trent, Sky, Jasmine, & Zoey are looking around, & notice the case in the tree. Jasmine reaches up to grab it, but a eagle takes it & flies away, causing them to groan. Just as they leave, Katie and Geoff walk right under it and start making out. Chris, watching from a helicopter above, is visibly annoyed at their incompetence. Alejandro can't stand being with Anne Maria any longer, so he ditches her by saying that he needs to use the bathroom. When Anne Maria realizes this, she is pissed. Sierra, Staci, & Sadie are walking around when Staci asks why Sadie joined them. She says that she wants to give her friend time with her boyfriend & thought that Sierra & Staci were cool. They beam at the compliment, then Alejandro shows up. He asks Staci & Sadie where they've looked for the money, & they tell him everything. He leaves smirking, & the aforementioned girls slapped their faces. The eagle with the case finally drops it, & it lands on Scott's neck, knocking him out. When he wakes up, he sees that Scarlett is gone, prompting him to call Scarlett a traitor. Then he realizes that if the situation was flipped, he'd do the same thing, & compliments her idea before running to get the case. Because Scarlett is not very athletic, she is now dealing with a stitch. In the background, Scott & Jasmine are catching up to her, causing her to turn it up a gear. Eventually, Scott & Jasmine simultaneously tackle the genius redhead, causing the case to fall into the river. The groans of Trent's group, Scott, & Scarlett can be heard all over camp. Back with Sierra's group, they are all griping about how annoyingly good he is. Sierra is saying that he should've eaten the laxative cupcakes he made for Jasmine, which get giggles from Sadie & Staci. On top of a cliff, Geoff & Katie are making out, & nearly fall from a cliff. Alejandro is scaling a tree, trying to find the case. He gets very close to an air balloon with an intern in it, causing said intern to notify Chris. The host dispatches Chef on an ATV to stop the threat. The intern tries to hit Alejandro with a boombox & cable, but Alejandro grabs on & chases the intern out and hijacks the balloon, where he then starts to head off towards the campgrounds. Brick & Harold find the floating case but must go upwards because Scott has blocked the only other way. So, Harold quickly builds a parachute to cushion the fall. Him & Brick initially float down safely, but then a pebble rips a hole in the parachute, causing them to descend quickly. They create a crater when they fall, & Brick says that he lost the case when they were plummeting. They find a canoe & start to paddle away. Cameron & Dawn find the dented case & pick up the pace so they can get to the dock. They run into Ella & Beardo, which prompts Cameron to ask if they should split the money, as c$250,000 isn't a bad reward. They all agree & go back to running. Scott hears their fall & runs back into the forest. Anne Maria has given up on looking for Alejandro & is now looking around for the million. She sprays her hair, which alerts Bacon that she's nearby. He roars at her & Anne Maria is petrified. Bacon bites on her head, losing all his teeth, which embarrasses him, causing him to run away. Anne Maria is smirking while tapping her hair, which clanks metallically. Ella, Beardo, Dawn, & Cameron are finally out of the gorge when they hear a whoosh from a hot-air balloon. Alejandro throws down the boom cord, successfully tying it around the case. Alejandro is now trying to steer, but it's getting tough because the four have now hopped onto the boom cord. He attempts to shake them off by going through a tree, but all that does is get the four closer to the basket. Back with Geoff & Katie, they are walking through the woods and encounter a baby moose, attempting to reach a branch that is too high up for it. Geoff decides to help it by lowering the branch, but Geoff slips on a mud slick, causing him to land atop the moose. When the baby's mother appears and sees Geoff on top of its baby, it's enraged. The moose starts chasing Geoff and Bridgette. Meanwhile, Chef, on his ATV, drives up to Zoey, Jasmine, Sky, and Trent, who have had no luck in the competition so far, and asks if they've seen the balloon. He explains the situation, including how Alejandro has the case and is on his way to the finish line. Both he and Zoey believe that Alejandro will definitely win. While Chef is talking, Jasmine picks up a small log nearby and knocks Chef out with it, hijacking the ATV and taking Zoey, Sky, & Trent with her. Elsewhere, Anne Maria is still searching. Geoff and Katie then race by, still being pursued by the angry moose. They tell Anne Maria to run as they race by, and she complies, joining in the dangerous chase. Alejandro's balloon starts to float into the campgrounds. Dawn, Cameron, Ella, & Beardo manage to climb into the basket with Alejandro. However, this only puts them in more danger as Alejandro puts Cameron in a headlock and demands the case from them, or they will fall. Harold and Brick arrive in the campgrounds shortly after and see the hot-air balloon with Cameron, Dawn, Ella, Beardo, & the case all inside. They quickly abandon the canoe and race into the campgrounds, only for Sky, Trent, Zoey, and Jasmine to emerge from the woods on their ATV. They are driving close to the air balloon, hoping to take it down. In the boathouse, Sierra, Sadie, & Staci are gearing up with fish water & paintballs to take down Alejandro. Staci says that she's learned a lot about paintball because her uncle owns a paintball arena. She says that she's not lying, as she has them as friends now. The three of them hide behind the communal washrooms, finding an airborne Alejandro. They see Geoff, Katie, Anne Maria and the moose race by, and quickly retreat. Meanwhile, the three campers who are being chased by the moose see the massive diving board platform & climb up. As they climb up to the safety of the incredibly high diving board, Sky has an idea. She runs into the mess hall & grabs the mounted moose head, running back & passing it to Zoey. She shows it to the moose & scares it into running away to the woods. Meanwhile, the hot-air balloon is about to crash, with only Sky seeing this. With Alejandro strangling Cameron, everyone in the basket doesn't realize any of this until it's too late. Dawn, Cameron, Ella, & Beardo are forced to jump because of this, & the fact that an eagle is about to tear a hole in the balloon. Alejandro thinks he's won but is forced to jump because of the eagle. 9 people are now on the diving board, & 8 of them are trying to knock the case out of Alejandro's mitts. Jasmine shows up out of nowhere, climbs the ladder, & successfully knocks the case out of his hands. It hits the edge of the pool below at an angle, and bounces straight towards the communal washrooms where Sadie, Staci, & Sierra reappear. Sierra grabs it & tells her teammates to run, but Max trips Sierra & grabs the case. Staci & Sadie splatter Max with fish water & guts, making him scream & throw the case into the air. Izzy shoves Staci out of the way, catches it, & runs with a full head of steam. It looks like Izzy will have a cool million until she trips on thin air & fumbles the case towards the dock. It is at this moment when everything starts to fall apart: Izzy quickly gets back to her feet and chases after the case. Trent & Sky run past Sadie & a bucket-headed Max, but Owen is catching up. Scarlett runs out of the forest, right in front of the wobbling diving board. It breaks, & everyone besides Anne Maria is sliding on the speeding diving board, which picks up Scarlett. The former's hair has made a crater in the ground. The moose, after having presumably defeated Zoey, rides in with Zoey on its back, also racing towards the Dock. Harold is running to the dock, trying to reach the case. As the moose rides onto the Dock, it bucks Zoey off its back into the water. The diving board group slides by, heading straight for Izzy, Scarlett, Trent, Harold, Max, Owen, and the case just as they are all right on the end of the Dock. These fifteen campers instantly collide at once, & land in the water along with Zoey, who's there already. As these sixteen emerge to the surface, the briefcase is floating by itself in the water, until a shark rises beneath it and swallows it. The seagull with the fragment of net wrapped around its neck points and laughs at the campers' misfortune, until the same shark eats it. Chris then arrives in a helicopter and is disappointed that the campers lost the case. He then tells the sixteen of them the bad news: they are all tied. So, to break this tie, they will all have to return for another shot at the million dollars in season two. Ella, Cameron, & Owen are the most enthused about this, while others like Scarlett & Jasmine look less pleased. He tells the dry campers - Scott, Anne Maria, Sadie, Staci, Brick, & Sierra that they will be watching on the sidelines, losing their shot at winning. Scott is the most vocal against this, & Jasmine asks if she & him can switch. Chris says no dice, as the fine print says that you must play if you are told. In the confessional, Katie & Sadie are sad to be separated, but Sadie says that they both will be fine, as they have other friends, & they handled being apart for over a week. Scarlett says that after this season, she will not be messed with, & will take revenge on "the purple haired gnome". Chris then tells the returning sixteen campers to report to a brand-new location in two days, where they will compete in a whole new set of challenges, and the last one standing will receive one-million dollars. He then tells viewers to tune in for the second season. TDA Cast Monster Cash We see an old, clunky bus driving up to the set of Total Drama Action that has the castmates who made it to season 2. The bus stops, & Cameron, Izzy (who refers to herself as E-Scope), Owen, Ella, Zoey, Trent, Beardo, Katie, Geoff, Dawn, Harold, Alejandro, Jasmine, Max, Scarlett, & Sky get off the bus, taking a look at the film lot. Alejandro & Jasmine are glaring daggers at each other, while Max is ignoring the glare Scarlett is giving him. Beardo, Ella, Cameron, & Dawn are talking animatedly about their lives, with Beardo saying that because of the show, he's been getting bigger DJ gigs. The other three congratulate him for this, then Chris shows up & tells the cast about the new confessional, & the new elimination ceremony, which is called the Gilded Chris awards. Scarlett asks why he's so vain, & Dawn says that it's because he wasn't loved enough as a child. After the snickers subside, Chris says that today's challenge is to race to a pair of trailers before the monster catches them. When Chris says to go, everyone starts running, with Izzy immediately getting captured. In the makeup confessional, Owen is asking how he's going to compete with the giant monster. Sky asks Trent how they are supposed to find the actors' trailers, & a confident Alejandro tells them to follow him. He runs off, & Trent & Sky don't follow him. Alejandro gets captured by Chef, but it takes a second before he is picked up. Chef admits that Alejandro is hot, while Alejandro is saying in the confessional that at least he has his natural beauty, even though most people hate him. Geoff & Katie are making out on the ground, & Jasmine runs up to them & says that they are here to compete. Geoff & Katie seem to realize this in the confessional, but then go back to making out. One by one, each castmate is captured, and deposited into a bounce house by the monster, eventually leaving Owen as the last person standing. When Chef finally finds him, and attempts to pick him up, Owen's weight makes the monster malfunction, since he's too heavy to pick up. Ten hours later, an exhausted Owen finds the other castmates and releases them from the bounce house by puncturing it with a sharp needle he had found. The castmates are at the dining hall for part 2 of this challenge. Before Chris can even explain anything, Owen goes ham on all of the prop food, finishing in less than a minute. Chris explains that he needed to find a golden key, & Owen tosses him one he found in a prop turkey. All of the girls besides Izzy are weirded out by this, while all of the boys say that Owen's got guts. As the castmates make their way to the trailers, one trailer is accidentally crushed by the monster, who is bringing E-Scope back from their date. When asked to choose which trailer the guys get, Owen, much to the other guys' anger, chooses the recently crushed one, claiming "it has more character." The girls cheer happily while the guys get mad at Owen, until Chef crushes the other trailer as well. After the trailers are repaired by Chef, the castmates make decisions on who to bunk with. For the boys, Beardo bunks with Harold, & Geoff with Max. Cameron requests that he doesn't share a bunk with Alejandro, so Owen volunteers, making the last bunk pairs Cameron & Trent, and Alejandro & Owen. For the girls, Ella bunks with Dawn, Sky bunks with Zoey, Scarlett bunks with Izzy much to the former's chagrin, & Katie gets a bunk to herself, as Jasmine will be sleeping on the floor. Early the next morning, Chris yells into a megaphone to wake the castmates up, just to mess with them, before letting them go back to sleep, reminding them of their required early morning wakeup. After Chris signs off the episode, the monster roars in the distance, and Chris demands the monster be deactivated. After the credits, Scarlett says that she won't be outplaced by Max, & that everyone should watch out, because she will do anything it takes to win. Her eyes flicker red for a minute before turning back to green, then the episode ends.
