2023.06.07 15:01 treespouse Drug test in 9 days

I have a pee test in 9 days for a life insurance app. I track my weed usage in a mood app so I know all this info is accurate. I will def report back with my results after the test!
27f, 5’9” 200lb I last took a few hits on a vape 10 days go Before that I was smoking mostly flower about 3x/wk for like 3 weeks Before that I was an almost daily user, mostly flower but occasionally vape pens I work out 1-2 days per week and am starting taking green tea pills today to help raise my metabolism Should I be able to pass with 19 days clean?
Now here’s my dumb question, my wife and sister in law want to get high and hang out on Friday lol. sister in law’s partner (med student) says with my usage I should be fine to get high again just that once, it would be 6 days before the test. They recommend hydrating and a lot of pectin to help clear it.
Would I be a complete idiot to take them up on this or am I already going to fail and might as well?

2023.06.07 15:00 Showmethetruth78 Success in the Battle for Karabakh Depends on Three Factors

The outcome of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict confirms that success in the battle depends on three factors.
1. Power is more important than right.
In November 2020, Azerbaijan (also known as the "Land of Fire") occupied the southern part of the region in the eastern part of the Armenian Highlands thanks to a technical superiority over the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, NKR) and support of Turkey. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces would have captured the entire territory of the NKR if Moscow had not insisted on a truce and the deployment of a peacekeepers in the conflict zone.
2. Determination to use force is more important than power.
Baku's victory in the 44-day war is ensured not so much by superiority over enemy forces, but by the wavering or even conscious passivity of the Armenian leadership. In 1992, when the military potential of Azerbaijan was also high, Yerevan supported Karabakh and demonstrated its determination to fight to the end.
In 2020, the leadership of Armenia headed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan didn't organize a decent rebuff to the aggressor. The independence of the NKR was never officially recognized. Threats to inflict unacceptable damage (for example, destroying the Mingachevir Hydroelectric Power Station can flood a significant part of the Azerbaijani territory) were not even claimed. Yerevan could also use the other resources to support Karabakh.
Two weeks after the start of the armed confrontation in Karabakh, Pashinyan said that Armenia was ready to resume the peace process, while Stepanakert, Shusha and Martuni were subjected to rocket attacks.
Karabakh was lost not in 2023, and not even in 2020. But in 2018, when Pashinyan came to power as a result of the revolution and demonstrated his readiness to make concessions in conflict with Azerbaijan as an important element in Armenia's reorientation towards the West. Pashinyan's political opponents are members of the so-called Karabakh clan, in particular, the former president of the republic, Robert Kocharyan. Under Kocharyan's rule, Yerevan, of course, would have acted in a completely different way in the conflict. The government would have paid much more attention to increasing the defense capability of the region.
3. Decisions are determined by hierarchy of priorities.
Armenians can lose Karabakh not only as a result of the policy leadership, but also with the tacit consent of its population.
Almost every inhabitant considers Nagorno-Karabakh to be an original Armenian territory. However, where is this postulate in the system of citizen's priorities?
This postulate is below than changing the political situation in Armenia, otherwise the oppositionist Pashinyan would hardly have been elected in 2018. Below economic comfort, otherwise the population would refrain from discussing the necessity of further support for Karabakh. Below national biases, otherwise Pashinyan would hardly be allowed to spoil relations with the Kremlin.
It should be mentoned that on May 25, the day Pashin announced his readiness to recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona affirmed the Republic of Artsakh's right to self-determination. But does it make any sense?

2023.06.07 15:00 Leomori10 Running instead of walking to get physically prepared for the Camino. Bad idea?

Hello everyone!
I will be starting my Camino on August and am starting to train beforehand. I’m 1.75 tall and weight 80kgs (a little overweight).
Regarding my physical training, I love running and manage to run 10 km under 1h for 3 times/week.
Since I am aware that the muscles used while running are different from the ones used while walking and do not have much time (due to my job) to go for long walks i.e. at least 4/5 hours straight, do you think I will be facing many issues on the camino when walking 20/25 kms/day or will I be fine?
Thank you in advance for your kind replies and buen camino everyone!

2023.06.07 15:00 ThrowRA-3141 I (31F) want my husband to seek help with regulating his (30M) emotions

I have been with my husband for nearly 10 years, married for 6. We have 1 child together.
My husband is a wonderful person. He is extremely thoughtful, sensitive, smart and warm. He has a wonderful way about him. He has a very gentle and quiet manner. The people he cares for at work adore him, my family loves him, and he is a fantastic father.
The problem occurs when we get in arguments. This doesn’t happen frequently - maybe 1-3 times a year. Most recently, he got angry with how I handled a situation between us. He had every right to be upset, my behavior was somewhat manipulative. During our argument he told me to go f myself (amongst other things) and ended up throwing a clean diaper at me. This has happened before where he will throw a light object at me (clean laundry, kitchen towel) when he is upset. I’m hesitant to even use the word ‘angry’ as he rarely raises his voice, if ever. But the language he uses would certainly suggest anger.
The next day I told him that this behavior and verbal abuse are unacceptable and he needs to seek help with regulating his emotions. He was apologetic and said it would not happen again, but he was extremely resistant to seeking help. He said I was blowing this out of proportion and denied that this could be defined as verbal abuse. I told him he is downplaying this and suggested even seeking out an online resource. He said he would start practicing mindfulness again but it was clear he was just trying to sweep this under the rug. We have had this conversation once before where he promised he would stop swearing at me and throwing things at me. This clearly was not effective.
I know how this sounds, but I am hoping that I was able to convey how wonderful of a person he is. I’ve seen the common Reddit responses to situations like this - ‘divorce’, ‘throw the whole man away’. But I don’t want to divorce him, I want to build a life together. Am I blowing this out of proportion? Any advice on how to proceed?

Can anyone advise me on how to clear the topology from this front face without using decimate?
I'm trying to use decimate to get a low poly model. Unfortunately, when I go below 5,000, the details start to disappear from sculpted edges so I can't afford to make this face less dense. Such an object is repeated 23 times (trying to create a barrel) and leaving it at that will be a big waste of topology. Do you have any tips on how to clean it?

NUMBER 10: Plaza del Zócalo Officially called Plaza de la Constitución and nicknamed Zócalo, Mexico City’s main square has been a meeting place for Mexicans since the Aztec times. People gather there for ceremonies, royal proclamations, military parades, and even national protests. The site was the main ceremonial center in the pre-Columbian Mexico City called Tenochtitlan. This large and well-developed city-state was built on the island of Lake Texcoco together with another city - Tlatelolco. According to Aztec mythology, it was considered the center of the universe. The nickname Zócalo means "pedestal" or "plinth." A monument to the Mexican independence was planned to be built here but only the base to support the statue called Zócalo was built. The plinth is no longer there, but the name has lived on. You won’t, however, be able to miss a giant Mexican flag placed in the center of the square. Zócalo is home to several important buildings, including the National Palace, the seat of the Mexican government, and the largest Cathedral in Latin America – Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral, built in segments from 1573 to 1813 around the original church built atop the former Aztec Templo Mayor. While you're in the area, watch Aztec dancers next to the Cathedral that uses inspiration from ancient rituals and traditional dance just outside the cathedral.
NUMBER 9: Templo Mayor Located right next to Zócalo, Templo Mayor or Greater Temple is a vast complex of ruins of religious and civic buildings from the Aztec times. Templo Mayor was the main Temple of the rulers of the Aztec Empire – the Mexica people in their capital city of Tenochtitlan, or what is today known as Mexico City. According to Aztec mythology, the Aztec God of Sun and War Huitzilopochtli ordered his people to establish a new capital in a place where an eagle sits on a cactus, devouring a snake. The seal of the Mexican government represents this legend from Aztec mythology. That legendary location turned out to be a place covered by wetlands. The Temple was built on an island in the 14th century and was destroyed after the Spanish Conquests in the 16th century. The ruins of the temple's exact location was later forgotten, and the excavations was carried out at the end of the 19th century and some parts even in the late 20th century. Visit Templo Mayor Museum, a part of UNESCO World Heritage that showcases archaeological finds and exhibits related to the Aztec civilization. Or if you don’t have time, see the temple from the street above. Don’t skip a disturbing Skull Rack displaying hundreds of stone skulls representing the sacrificial victims to honor the gods and the power of the empire.
NUMBER 8: Xochimilco Xochimilco was the most important city of the Xochimilca people, who first settled in around 900 BC up until it was conquered by the Mexica of Tenochtitlan in the 15th century. Xochimilco is best known for a vast system of around 170 kilometers or 110 mi. of canals, famous for its colorful gondola-like boats called trajineras. Canals of Xochimilco are one of the last traces of a vast water transport system built by the Aztecs. These canals were a part of a massive lake and canal system that connected most of the settlements in the Valley of Mexico. Both canals and the chinampa system of Xochimilco are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The name Xochimilco means "flower field” and describes flowers and other crops grown here. The vegetables, fruits, and flowers were shipped to Tenochtitlan via the canal.
NUMBER 7: Street Food Mexico City's culinary scene offers a wide variety of food options, from affordable street food or antojitos (street snacks or appetizers) to gourmet international and local restaurants. Experience Mexican life through a variety of street food. Try some of the following options: tacos, quesadillas, tamales, chicharrón, machetes, delicious churros, or elotes - a, Mexican street corn topped with mayonnaise, chili powder and others. And if you are up to a challenge, even chapulines or grasshoppers. Don’t skip several important food and artisan markets spread throughout Mexico City, like Mercado de Coyoacán, etc.
NUMBER 6: Torre Latinoamericana Torre Latinoamericana or Latin American Tower, completed in 1956, is a skyscraper in the historic city center of Mexico City. This 166 m or 545 ft high building is one of the city's important architectural attractions was the tallest structure in Mexico until it was surpassed by Torre Ejecutiva Pemex. It is the world's first major skyscraper successfully built on a highly active seismic zone. Torre Latinoamericana survived the 8.1 magnitude earthquake in Mexico City in 1985. Other buildings in downtown were severely damaged. The tower's observation area Mirador Torre Latino offers some of the best panoramic views of Mexico City. Don’t forget to explore Madero Street right below Torre Latinoamericana, a popular and crowded pedestrian area featuring bars, shops, and other attractions. Check our Mexico City 4K walking tour with closed captions to get the full experience. The link is in the description https://amzn.to/3WVsSvh
NUMBER 5: Coyoacán Coyoacán is a bohemian neighborhood located south of the city center. Covered with cobblestone streets and known for its colonial architecture, the name actually derives from the Aztec language, meaning "place of coyotes." The area was used as a headquarters during the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire. Coyoacán was the first capital of New Spain. The areas offers many activities and attractions, such as: La Casa Azul, a historic house and an art museum where Mexican artist Frida Kahlo was born and later lived with her husband, Diego Rivera. Mercado de Coyoacán: a traditional market famous for its colors and folklore, selling everything from clothing, plants to various food options and more. Plaza Hidalgo and Jardín Centenario full of colonial landmarks, bars, restaurants, Fuente de los Coyotes, Parroquia San Juan Bautista, beautiful Tranvía Coyoacán and other attractions. Or Plaza de la Conchita with the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception Church, the oldest church in Mexico. There are many other exciting neighborhoods and streets worth exploring, like Barrio China, Zona Rosa, etc. Check our travel guide for more suggestions. By the way, our mobile-friendly travel guide covers the top 20 things to do in Mexico City and things to know before you visit, including opening hours, links to buy tickets, itinerary suggestions, maps, and other information. By purchasing our travel guide, you are also helping us sustain this channel, so a big thank you for that!
NUMBER 4: Bosque de Chapultepec The Chapultepec Forest is one of the oldest urban parks in the world and one of the largest city parks in the Western Hemisphere. Chapultepec functions as the lungs providing oxygen to the Mexico Valley. In the pre-Columbian era, the forest was also a popular retreat for Aztec rulers. The most popular section of Chapultepec is home to popular attractions and activities, including the Museum of Anthropology, botanic garden, a zoo, and an artificial lake. Here, you can rent a boat and enjoy the escape from the busy city streets. There are two other lakes in the second section of the park. Don't skip Chapultepec Castle or The National Museum of History, built in the colonial period. The castle official residence of Mexican heads of state until 1940. It is located at the top of Chapultepec Hill, with amazing views towards Paseo de la Reforma and the rest of the city. Chapultepec served as an important water management system in the pre-Columbian era, featuring an Aztec-built ancient aqueduct. Did you know that the name Chapultepec derives from the Aztec language and translates as Hill of the Grasshopper. Check our travel guide for more beautiful parks suggestions, like an impressive Alameda Central right next to the Palace of the Fine Arts.
NUMBER 3: Museum of Anthropology National Museum of Anthropology is the most visited museum in Mexico, offering the world's most extensive collection of ancient Mexican art, important archaeological and anthropological objects from Mexico's pre-Columbian heritage, like the Stone of the Sun (or the Aztec calendar stone) created in the 16th century. You can walk around the 23 permanent exhibit halls representing the colors and materials related to Teotihuacan, Olmeca, and Maya cultures. Don’t skip the stunning outdoor part of the museum. The building was designed by the architect Pedro Ramirez Vazquez, who also designed other important buildings in Mexico City, like Basilica de Guadalupe or Estadio Azteca. There are many other fascinating museums in Mexico City. Don't skip Voladores De Papantla or Flying Men – an ancient Mesoamerican ritual to ask God to end a severe drought in Tamayo Park close to the museum. This video is sponsored by Beeyond, helping you save space when you travel and organize your suitcase. A revolutionary new way to organize your luggage consists of a set of small and large packing cubes. The link is in the description https://amzn.to/3WVsSvh
NUMBER 2: Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe is a Roman Catholic church, basilica, and National shrine of Mexico and one of the most important pilgrimage sites of Catholicism. The present church was constructed on an earlier 16th-century church finished in 1709 due to its dangerous sinking foundation, the Old Basilica. The new basilica houses the cloak containing the images of Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of the most important symbols of Mexican faith, based on a series of Marian apparitions in 1531. The basilica is visited by millions of people every year, making it the most visited Catholic shrine in the world. Don't skip the impressive and stunningly landscaped Sagrado Recinto del Tepeyac Garden and explore other impressive sites.
NUMBER 1: Teotihuacán Located about an hour drive from Mexico City, Teotihuacan is a must-see. This ancient Mesoamerican city was probably established around 100 BC, long before the arrival of the Aztecs and its origins are still unknown. Teotihuacan began as a religious center in the Mexican Highlands around the first century AD. It was supposed to be the largest city in the pre-Columbian Americas, with an estimated population of at least 125,000. In the 8th century AD, the city was abandoned, probably because of the extreme weather events in the centuries before. Walk along the Avenue of the Dead and admire the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon, apartment compounds, and vibrant murals. Secret tunnels were discovered under the pyramids of the Moon and Temple of the Feathered Serpent. Teotihuacan was a prosperous kingdom and traded with obsidian, used for tools, weapons, and other. Close to the pyramids, you can even experience how people turn volcanic stone into a piece of art, observe the sun, how to use the entire cactus and turn it into a sewing kit, or how they ingeniously colored the sewing thread and used interior parts of the cactus as paper. And here is the bonus that we promised: Don’t leave Mexico without experiencing Mariachi, a genre of regional Mexican music and a symbol of Mexican national identity. Mariachi music as we know it today originated in Jalisco in the 19th century. You can listen to mariachi in various places around Mexico City, like Plaza Garibaldi. Whether you want to follow the footsteps of the Aztecs, experience centuries-old traditions during Día de los Muertos, admire the place where Frida Kahlo lived, immerse yourself in delicious street food, or discover artisan and other markets, there is plenty to do in Mexico City.

2023.06.07 15:00 Howell--Jolly How much credit card cashback can one earn over a lifetime, and can it be life-changing?

Credit cards allow us to earn cashback on our daily expenses. Here's a breakdown of the cashback percentages for various categories I use:
- Rent: 1% cashback through the Wells Fargo Bilt MasterCard. - Grocery or restaurants: 5% cashback through the Citi Custom Cash MasterCard. - Department stores (e.g., Nordstrom, Macy's, etc.): 5% cashback via the US Bank Cash+ Visa. - Uber and Lyft: 5% cashback with the US Bank Cash+ Visa. - Travel (airlines, hotels): 5% cashback through either the Chase Freedom Unlimited Visa or Chase Freedom Flex MasterCard. - Amazon and Whole Foods: 5% cashback using the Chase Amazon Prime Visa. - Costco and gas stations: 4% cashback via the Citi Costco Anywhere card. - Dining: 3% cashback with the Chase Freedom Unlimited Visa, Chase - Freedom Flex MasterCard, or Wells Fargo Bilt MasterCard. - Drugstores/pharmacies: 3% cashback using the Chase Freedom Unlimited Visa or Chase Freedom Flex MasterCard. - Any purchase: 2% cashback with the Wells Fargo Active Cash Visa, Fidelity Rewards Visa, or Citi Double Cash MasterCard.
Now, let's calculate the cashback earnings based on a monthly expenditure of $6000 for a family, with $2000 spent on rent and $4000 on other expenses.
For rent, you would earn 1% cashback, which amounts to $20 per month. For all other expenses, you would earn on average 3.3% cashback, which comes to $132 per month. Combining these amounts, you would earn a total cashback of $152 per month.
The average inflation in the US over the last 100 years has been 3.2% a year.
If you adjust this cashback amount of $152 per month for inflation and invest it from the age of 25 to 65 in an S&P500 index fund with a 40-year average annual inflation-adjusted return of 11%, you would accumulate $1,533,129 by the age of 65 (or $383,457 adjusted for inflation).
However, if you choose to invest this amount in a small-cap value fund with a 40-year average annual inflation-adjusted return of 13%, you would have $6,200,228 by the time you reach 65 years of age (or $1,849,129 in today's money).
This strategy will work out if you are disciplined, pay your credit card balance on time, and never incur credit card interest.

2023.06.07 15:00 GlassMortgage1249 Need help replying to a voicenote whilst keeping dignity intact

I'm at a loss, so I created a throwaway to get some help with this.
Background - Me and this guy started going on dates back in Feb (we are both in our 30s). At first it was going really well - he seemed interested in me, asked me what I was looking for (I said eventually a long term relationship but with the right person) and his behaviour was consistent. By the 6th date, he became inconsistent and made it known that he wasn't looking for a relationship. I said I wasn't looking for casual, so in what seemed like quite a mature manner, we decided to be friends, however, what I didn't realise was he was thinking FWB. I messaged him stating that its friends with no sex...and obviously he went quiet. I'm not at all shocked - we want different things and it is what it is. However, he sent me a voicenote yesterday and I just don't even know how to respond, if I should at all. The key takeaways are:
  1. Sorry I meant to reply for ages, but basically I forgot. I've even forgotten to message my mum
  2. I didn't go quiet because you said no sex but we only met because we were attracted to each other not for friendship
  3. I think you're a cool girl, we have similar interests and we can chill but, I'm always going to want to have sex with you but I'm not in a space to spend quality time with you
  4. Also I'm not sure how a friendship would work when I barely have time for my current friends, and also like I said it would be tough when I want to have sex with you, so I've been mentally distancing myself from you
  5. But yeah I'm all good - I've booked a trip abroad for 3 months or so, and I'm leaving in July.
  6. Ended with a see ya.
So I'm not an idiot - I know he has no interest in me as a human, and clearly would only want to see me if I'm down to have sex. But honestly, I'm just irritated (and a little hurt) with the disrespect of him waving the idea of casual when I have said no and reducing me down to a sexual object, when at some point we were enjoying each other's company without sex. The leaving for 3 months thing was just the cherry on top, but, I have no intention of seeing him before he leaves or staying in contact - what is the best way to reply without sounding bitter and having some dignity about it!
Thank you Reddit for the help!

2023.06.07 15:00 PressureInitial3161 A post defending the allegations which were made on Akshay Kumar on previous post related to akshay's flair.

A post defending the allegations which were made on Akshay Kumar on previous post related to akshay's flair.
Part 1. His relationships.
  1. Pooja Batra
Processing img e39mzbw77k4b1...
Pooja Batra had known akshay since modelling days. There are many rumours about akshay getting entry in bollywood due to his gf pooja batra. But its not true. Akshay first appeared in an unnoticed minor role in the 1987 Indian film Aaj. He debuted in a leading role with the film Saugandh (1991) before his breakthrough with the suspense thriller khiladi (1992).
While Pooja was model before she became Miss india international in 1993, and than she did commericials and debut in bollywood in 1997 through movie name Virasaat. When she got her debut movie, akshay had already done 9 movies. So this rumour of her helping him to get into bollywood is baseless. But it is said that they both dated in early 90s and she left him when she became Miss India.

  1. Ayesha Julka.

Processing img fdy7tg0xak4b1...
Ayesha and akshay both tasted success and stardom after Khiladi became hit. They had very good chemistry in the movie and people liked that. So there were rumors of them dating but they both never accepted it. Ayesha till now have always been fond of akshay and she has worked with most of 90s actors.

  1. Raveena Tandon.

Processing img afutzsvdmk4b1...
Akshay and Raveena both have accepted that they were in relationship after they met during Mohra. Raveena has told many things about akshay during that time. But they had healthy relationship between them. They both dated and than parted ways.

  1. Shilpa Shetty and Twinkle khanna

Processing img qhx6kek84l4b1...
Akshay and shilpa also dated after they met in mein khiladi tu anadi. Shilpa was friend of raveena, acc to raveena after breaking up the engagement with her, akshay dated shilpa. And they had long relationship till 1999. when akshay met twinkle for international khiladi. According to twinkle she said akshay was fling for her, nothing serious in kwk but than both stayed together and got married.
Akshay had healthy relationships all along and also stayed and supported them in their difficult times. In 2015 akshay and shilpa also started a bussiness together.

Part 2 : Metoo and Sexual harrasement Allegetions :
  1. Mallika dua controversy :
In previous post op just talked about the controversy and didn't share any video about the issue. Mallika dua and Akshay Kumar were judges of laughter challenge show. The show had a bell which has to be ranged whenever there's good performance. So once a contestant gave outstanding performance, Mallika dua wanted to rang the bell, and can't do it herself so Akshay wanted to make her rang, so he said that statement in a sarcastic way. Mallika dua's dad was famous journalist of ndtv who himself was MeToo accused got offended and registered the case. By this logic everyone might have said similar statements by mistake at any point of their life, that means all have been in sexual harrasement. I know what he said was wrong but calling it sexual harrsement isn't fine too.

Processing video 6xyqyakp6l4b1...
  1. Aditi rao hydari.
In previous post, it was said that aditi rao was sexual harrased by akshay and akshay paid her money to be quiet.
During Metoo movement almost all actress have talked about MeToo. Aditi shared her experience of casting couch during meToo movement but in previous post that was conveniently ignored and instead belived on rumors of akshay paying her to keep silent.

Processing video dw5npo6m9l4b1...
There are many videos of her sharing experience of facing casting couch during MeToo but in previous post it was conveniently ignored and wrote a post based on rumors and lies.

Processing video 38yh5p87bl4b1...
Akshay all throughout his career never had any fights nor has he said bad things about his co-actors, directors, contempories etc even though so many things have been said to him.
Yes he was in some relationships but so have other actors too that doesn't mean to tag him with that unpleasant flair. . So i request mods to plz change that gross flair of akshay.
