I work in the cell phone sales industry, I was promoted to assistant manager a few months ago and am the only female manager within my district. This will be important later.
We now have surveys to go over with every customers in store and it will be sent to them in a few days. The old policy was as long as you do your paper survey with the customer and they sign it if they leave you a shit review your covered since you went over it. That made sense as people will forget the questions and the survey in a day anyway as they are distracted by their new iPhone. Plus they aren't given a copy of the answers they gave and the "new and improved" survey does NOT list the employee you worked with.
That went on for about 6 months but now we have a new policy, if they leave you a bad review YOU WILL BE WRITTEN UP AND POSSIBLY DEMOTED and or lose your earned commissions FOR THE MONTH.
Sorry but I am not taking the responsibility of another adult, I told my boss this and he didn't care.
His take was I am responsible for my surveys being done and if I get a bad review that is all on me. So after I went over a survey with a Karen of a woman and she left me all 10's on paper, when it was sent to her she left all 3's saying her service is bad.
As per the new policy I have received a write up and am under review for demotion. Conveniently, a dude was just hired with far less experience than me but he is a fan favorite with the hire ups.
Malicious compliance, if I have to get a perfect survey every single time fine but everyone will know why and the consequences if they speak their minds.
I have started telling customers how this will effect me if a bad review is left and all good reviews have been coming in and management has been happy until one customer.
Let's call her Jan, LOVE Jan. she blasted my management for making us do this crap and threatening our jobs for poor reviews as she has her own mind.  | Ordered this guy from AliExpress after seeing a review here for another Enlan model. Prior to that I wasn’t really aware of the brand. Anyway I waited the amount of time you wait when you order direct from China and pay $2 for S&H to the States and then I had it in hand submitted by TopRealz to knives [link] [comments] It’s a small, but I’d say very reasonable sized EDC, with a 2 13/16” (72mm) blade and a 3 13/16” (97mm) closed length. It’s very close to the dimensions of most of the ‘3/4/7’ pocketknives I carry for daily use. It sports a very grippy G10 handle with full steel liners (not nested) and additional texturing milled into the scales —plus chamfering all the way round. The 8Cr13MoV blade is something of a cross between a sheepsfoot and a drop point, with a swedge and a fairly high flat grind. The stock is right about .10” thick so despite the geometry not being ‘super slicey’ the blade still slices well. It also pierces effectively even though the point is below the centerline of the handle. Both edge and point seem to walk a good balance between being fine and robust enough for harder use It has a single-position clip, oriented for tip down carry (meh) but it is a sturdy one that functioned well right out of the box. It’s got a nice finish as well and doesn’t feel flimsy or look ‘chintzy’. And most importantly it will last, not scratch off like a painted black or bead blast finish Similarly both the action and sharpness were very good out of the box. It was shaving sharp, though I did keen it up a little as I find many factory edges to be over-polished even when razor sharp. They seem to have done a good job with the heat treat as it easily takes and holds a keen edge that bites into material at the slightest touch The pivot uses a combination of phosphor bronze and nylon washers (looks like PB on one side and nylon on the other). It has a very smooth and easy action using the nicely machined, and reversible, thumbstud. Detent is light but you can flick it out nicely, though I found myself preferring a fast slow-roll given how light and small the blade is. It locks up very solidly. Like, this is one of the more robust liner locks I’ve ever handled. The (fairly thick) liner springs into full contact with the tang but stays ‘early’ giving plenty of room for wear. There is no play whatsoever in any direction. Oh,, and the blade is perfectly centered when closed Really the whole thing is put together like the folks who made it knew what they were doing, and cared. It isn’t a flashy knife at all and does look “budget” especially in its simplicity. But it also looks and feels like it will last a long time and put up with some pretty rough use. I was impressed to see where their priorities lie here. It’s kind of the opposite of the infamous “gas station knife”. Or rather, this is the kind of knife I’d like to see them selling at gas stations instead. Not sure what retail price I’d put on it as it’s value in a western market. But is it worth $13? I recently started low carb (but not quite keto) and intermittent fasting to help curb inflammation and menopausal symptoms. My favorite gummies are of course filled with sugar which makes my consumption difficult. I recently switched to a sugar free tincture but realized it is made from distillate and my tolerance has risen quickly. I’m not a smoker and vape very infrequently due to lung damage sustained from radiation therapy, but when I do vape, I feel like the effects aren’t very pronounced. I prefer an edible high to an inhaled high.
So, what are my options? I considered small RSO doses, but I worry that it will increase my tolerance too quickly. I’m not opposed to making canna butter or infusing coconut oil and just swallowing a glob, but that doesn’t sound too palatable. My last meal of the day occurs at 5 and I usually dose up at 7:30 which could break my fast. Do any of you lovely ladies and theydies have any suggestions? It’s silly, I know.

I would like to preface my post by admitting my reluctance to play Diablo 4 at launch. Diablo 2 is, as I’m sure many of you would agree, one of the most impactful games of my childhood. After the shit show that was the launch of Diablo 3, and the many blunders thereafter, I had all but sworn off ever purchasing another blizzard game. Even with the rave reviews, I was still hesitant to buy it. I’ve never put much stock into game reviews for AAA titles. I really only picked it up to play with my brothers.
After getting through the campaign and starting to refine my endgame build, I can say without a doubt that blizzard has outdone themselves.
While I have a few minor complaints with the game (namely the lack of crafting, purposeless white and blue items, and level scaling), by and large I am having an absolute blast. Cross play is seamless. I feel constantly encouraged to experiment and refine builds on my own, without the need for a guide. Loot is fun and builds very unique. The end game so far is PHENOMENAL with tons to do, especially for a newly released live service game. Im having an absolute hell of a time tweaking my end game setup (I play an earth pulverize werebear). Every rare in the endgame that drops feels like it has the potential to be an upgrade. Art, music, all phenomenal.
That being said, there is definitely room for improvement with scaling making the leveling a bit of a chore, with no ability to go back and farm to become stronger. I think a good solution to this would be to turn off scaling during the campaign, and activate it once the campaign is over.
I’d also like to see a crafting/rune system like in Diablo 2, so that whites and blues feel like they may be of some value. Right now they seem like a total flop.
But besides those minor things (in addition to the story being nonsensical in parts), the game is so, so much fun. I’m excited to see where they take it in the future.

I work in the cell phone sales industry, I was promoted to assistant manager a few months ago and am the only female manager within my district. This will be important later.
We now have surveys to go over with every customers in store and it will be sent to them in a few days. The old policy was as long as you do your paper survey with the customer and they sign it if they leave you a shit review your covered since you went over it. That made sense as people will forget the questions and the survey in a day anyway as they are distracted by their new iPhone.
That went on for about 6 months but now we have a new policy, if they leave you a bad review YOU WILL BE WRITTEN UP AND POSSIBLY DEMOTED. Sorry but I am not taking the responsibility of another adult, I told my boss this and he didn't care.
His take was I am responsible for my surveys being done and if I get a bad review that is all on me. So after I went over a survey with a Karen of a woman and she left me all 10's on paper, when it was sent to her she left all 3's saying her service is bad.
As per the new policy I have received a write up and am under review for demotion.
Malicious compliance, if I have to get a perfect survey every single time fine but everyone will know why and the consequences if they speak their minds.
I have started telling customers how this will effect me if a bad review is left and all good reviews have been coming in and management has been happy until one customer.
Let's call her Jan, LOVE Jan. she blasted my management for making us do this crap and threatening our jobs for poor reviews as she has her own mind. If she wishes to leave the company a poor review she will do so and threatening the over worked and under paid employees will do nothing but make her never do business with them again. snaps for Jan Management is pissed that I told customers and that it made them look bad.

I’ll preface this by saying my peak as an enthusiast was 2004-2014. My original home park was Six Flags Great America, but I’ve since moved up and down the East Coast, and have finally settled in Cincinnati. My only previous visits to Kings Island were 2007 (Firehawk Opening Weekend) and in 2011. So definitely a few new experiences here.
We arrived a smidge after opening and were prepared to buy Fast Lane, but ultimately decided to wait it out and see if we needed it. Thank god we did. Was really surprised at how light the crowd was for the first Sunday in June.
I’m also not reviewing each individual time a ride was ridden. So this is in the order we rode each ride for the first time.
Mystic Timbers (x3) -Wait times: >10min, 20min, 15min I don’t think I ever watched a POV of this after it was built and I’m really glad I didn’t. What a surprise this was, especially after reading how much it was advertised as a “family coaster.” Clearly that was just based on the height requirement. This thing packs a mean punch and might just be my favorite coaster in the park. I know the ride is already six years old, but I was surprised at how grown in everything was, or perhaps how much foliage they managed to not have to remove during construction. My whole group got a kick out of the shed bit too. Can’t say enough good things and they had a great crew on it as well. Rode in the back twice and front once. Not a bad seat on this in my opinion.
Diamondback (x2) -Wait times: >10min, 15min It’s aged well, and is probably still my favorite of the hypers* I’ve been on (sorry, I’m not counting Orion as a hyper) – even over Mako. The back row is still an absolute joy on these trains, and I’m thankful for the amount of airtime moments you get before the trim, which the pop of air coming out of the MCBR completely makes up for. Fun during the day. Fun at night. One of my favorites. Rode this in the back twice.
Beast (x1) -Wait times: >5min I looked through a couple of KI trip reports before starting this one, and was surprised to see mixed reviews on Beast. ~Back in my day,~ it was pretty highly regarded around the community. I still love this thing for what it is. It’s not Voyage. It’s not an RMC. It’s pure chaos designed in 1979. Trims or no trims, it’s a completely unique experience during the day, but even more so at night. I’ll love this thing forever. Rode this in the middle once.
Orion (x2) -Wait times: >10min, 20min Oh boy. I followed the construction of this and the initial reviews on this subreddit, so I had no idea what to expect going in. Maybe a weird take here, but I think Firehawk fit into the area so much better. In a perfect world, Firehawk remains and Area 72 keeps expanding out. Orion is an awkward fit. It feels like the entire ride + queue + plaza is like a premade coaster in RCT. I read one review on here that said, “a terrain coster that doesn’t follow the terrain.” Couldn’t have said it better myself. However, once the ride begins, none of that matters. It’s an intimidating lift, an intimidating drop, and just a heck of a lot of fun. The hangtime on the first drop is worth any wait. The wave turn is… familiar (more on this later). The entire turnaround was so much more intense than I thought it would be. The speed hill is to die for. In my opinion, the first half makes up for anything else this ride lacks. After the trimmed hill, the ride is what it is. I do like that it feels like it keeps most of its speed going into the final brakes. And despite the elements, doesn’t feel too dull. That last pop of air into the dip before the brakes was a nice cherry on top. Rode back on both rides.
For me, looking at Orion’s layout in a vacuum, it’s better than Millennium Force’s layout in a vacuum. But when you add in the Intamin trains and the location of Millennium Force, it’s the better ride. I would much rather wait an hour for Orion than for Millennium Force. I know they’re not the same manufacturer, but that’s the only other giga I have ridden to compare it to.
And going back to what the wave turn (and Orion in general) reminds me of, being a Six Flags Great America nut before this, it feels like Raging Bull and Goliath had a baby – Raging Bull’s layout in a Goliath-sized package. Both rollercoasters I love dearly, despite how not “Top 10” both of those rides are.
Racer (x1) -Wait time: >15min Which side got work done for its anniversary? Red? Blue? Both? Neither? I only got on blue side but really wasn’t able to enjoy the second half. A timeless classic of course, but just a little uncomfortable Rode this in the third row of the first car. Any other suggestions?
Banshee (x2) -Wait times: >15min, 30min (small downtime) Is this ride controversial too? Regardless, it’s my second favorite invert behind the original Batman: The Ride. Fun forces, fun pacing, fun inversions. Just everything I like in an invert. The drop straight into the dive loop is unique and earned big points in my book. Everything after is just relentless. I love that this doesn’t have a MCBR and just keeps going. Visually stunning ride and I hope it someday has the same foliage around it that the next coaster has. Rode this front and back.
Bat (x2) -Wait times: >5min, walk on I love this ride. Always going to be upset I never got to ride Big Bad Wolf, so I only know this as my favorite Arrow Suspended Coaster. Such a blast no matter where you ride and just such a unique experience. This would be a great ride without the trees, but adding in those and the terrain just make it that much better. Rode this in front and back.
Invertigo (x1) -Wait time: walk on My favorite roller coaster will always be Deja Vu, and this will never match up to it. However, I’ll always appreciate this experience for what it is, especially knowing that I’ll probably never make a trip to Idaho for Aftershock. Not terribly rough and just good fun. Rode this in the very back.
Drop Tower (x1) -Wait time: 25min Ten years ago, I was fearless. Now, drop towers spark a little bit more fear into me. It’s the fun kind of fear at least. Seeing the shadow of the tower below us and realizing how far we still had to go didn’t make it any easier, but ultimately a blast coming down per usual.
Adventure Express (x1) -Wait time: 5min. This thing hurts in a very fun way. So much charm. I love these mine trains. But I will reiterate, it hurt. The theming makes it all worth it though. Any recommendation on seats for this, or is it just one I have to learn to ride? Rode this in the second row.
Odds and Ends Diamondback, Orion, and Mystic Timbers at night were a ton of fun, with Mystic Timbers being our darkest night ride of the bunch. I honestly expected a lot more of the waterpark crowd to fill in the park, but it just never happened.
We stopped for lunch at a Chicken Place near Invertigo and couldn’t believe A. How tasty it was and B. How reasonable the portions were for what we paid. It’s the little things sometimes. In general I was surprised how well priced most stuff is. Maybe it’s just the Gold Pass discount clouding my vision?
Speaking of Gold Pass, the ability to have this thing on my phone in a cashless park is incredible. Maybe passes in mobile wallets aren’t all that exciting anymore (I haven’t been a pass holder anywhere since 2013), but as someone who can also lock and unlock their car with their phone, it’s a godsend to only have to bring my phone in and nothing else.
Final Thoughts I thought I was coming back to a Kings Island that would feel more like Cedar Point than it did after the first few years of ownership. Boy was I wrong. For the short time I’ve been in Cincinnati, this really does feel like a park that belongs to Cincinnati. In my circles, people talk about it like people in Pittsburgh talk about Kennywood. It’s got big chain coasters with local charm. It reminds me a lot of my former home park in Six Flags Great America in the sense that you won’t get the biggest and best as others in the chain, but what you’re getting is still pretty damn good. I’m glad we ended up grabbing Gold Passes. Really looking forward to making some quick trips to the park to round out our nights in the summer, with some longer day trips like these mixed in.

With more than a 100,000 positive reviews on Steam, it has endless replayability, tons of QOL features, large overhaul mods like Krastorio 2 or Space Exploration for even more hours to sink into the game. It is a very polished game and you could find a bug in the fabric of reality before finding a bug in Factorio. I can easily see myself pour more than a 100 hours into the game. I also played the free demo for Factorio and after a couple of minutes, it got me hooked. It scratched an itch that I have not felt for YEARS after looking for many games to play. The only thing I was wondering when playing the demo is: how the hell haven't I found about the game earlier when it's so popular? It's an extremely well executed game and I'd have an absolute blast playing it.

We’re changing the Ninja Monkey Paragon’s focus as a fighter against camo, as we feel like a greater strength and tactical value against camo will be the full reveal of all camos rather than all camo removal.
Alchemist Transforming Tonic is in a weird spot with the transformation unable to attack through walls when the base alchemist is able to. Also with this, including a QoL fix for the T5 that currently prevents transformed towers from functioning with target priority.
While the tornado doesn't do anything to MOABs, it still spends itself on them which wastes a relatively long cooldown, so addressing this flaw. Avatar of wrath doubles the base attack speed before any scaling is applied, but this hasn’t ever applied to the 205 Lightning, so taking care of that as well. Housekeeping - even deep in the forest, it does actually make life better.
We’ve heard the feedback, so Spiked Mines get a tweak to get more mines exploding but with less pierce on each, to overall increase quality of life in more frequent use but less wasted pierce. This will help out with some of the problems it has scaling into late game super ceramics.

While they are complicated individuals, Adora can now fully appreciate the sacrifice of the newest Monkeys in the struggle against the Bloons.
We aren’t happy with strats that start looking like exploits with frequent sell-replace loops.
Psi’s stalling out of the end of round is an odd mix of useful / annoying / out of control, so we are for now capping this to a 3 seconds of overtime stalling. Psi’s Psychic Blast ability also has weirdly low pierce for a long cooldown ability with no damage, we are increasing the base pierce greatly but it no longer increases in pierce at Lv7 since the extra pulse brings more pierce anyway.
Five months of 2023 done and dusted, which feels to us like it has zoomed by, perhaps because the Auckland office where the BTD6 team is based has only just reopened after the severe flooding at the end of January. All of Update 36 and the majority of Update 37 were completed while again working from home, but we’re very excited to have the office repairs done, the flood wall almost finished, and the ability to work shoulder to shoulder again on fun new things for the monkeyverse! - The core of the Magus is a toggle to and from a Draining Beam which deals very small single target damage but absorbs graveyard mana as it damages and destroys Bloons
- While toggled off from the Drain Beam, Magus attacks with a powerful Arcane Spike that deals massive damage to MOABs and revives Bloons it slays, while a Dark Phoenix circles overhead attacking with Firebomb breath and a radial fireball attack
- Phoenix Explosion Ability: can be cast to consume the Paragon’s entire graveyard to set all Bloons on screen on fire for 30 seconds and summon one Zombie ZOMG for every 9000 graveyard mana consumed

Psi’s Psychic Blast ability also has weirdly low pierce for a long cooldown ability with no damage, we are increasing the base pierce greatly but it no longer increases in pierce at Lv7 since the extra pulse brings more pierce anyway.

- Getting closer to submission on Xbox and PlayStation but this has been slow going. We’ve added another programmer and are working even more closely with platform partners to get through our last issues and launch as soon as possible, but that’s likely at least another 2 months. Switch is still a consideration depending on response to Xbox and PlayStation, as it will require additional bespoke development.
