2023.04.01 12:36 incoming-idiot I have been taxed £1100 which is half my wage.

I don't know if this is the right sub or if anyone has any advice on what else to do.
Yesterday I recieved my pay, I don't have access to my payslips for one reason or another (despite me asking multiple times) it usually isn't a problem as it shows the amount paid in my account which, month by month always looks correct. Yesterdays pay, however was only £930. I'm a salaried Manager and this is no where near my usual pay for an entire month, upon seeing this I called my area manager.
I then recieve a call from my area managers boss, saying my Tax code is correct but my tax is through the roof at £1100, i got sent a screenshot of my payslip whilst I was on hold to HMRC, over half of my wage went on tax alone.
This is where things got a little complicated, according to HMRC I left the job in February. I didn't, I have been employed with the same company for 12 years, they do however have a bunch of LTD companies they operate under. I was promoted to Area Manager last year but stepped back down into a store role due to medical issues (another long story) in January of this year.
The company is still saying my tax code is correct as its on the payslip but HMRC have me down as leaving the job, i'm assuming this is partly due to me moving over to another LTD company within the business?
I'm getting no where fast with my bosses, and HMRC are telling me there's nothing they can do as it's nearing the end of the tax year but they have no information on me for this month anyway?
What is going to be my best course of action here if any at all?

Lately it just feels like everyone is against us and it's just making me (and most definitely others) upset to a large degree. It sometimes feels inescapable.
I want to fight off against these people who hate us for no reason yet it all feels pointless in my position, they'll keep on misgendering us, they'll keep on deadnaming in front of us and behind our backs, use us as scapegoats for their twisted beliefs.
I just don't feel safe in this world anymore, Idk what to do. I'm close to losing my best friend because of how hateful the world is towards us and it already feels like I've lost all chances for familial love, yet there's nothing I can do, they'll keep on hating us for who we are, even if they don't openly say it to our faces or show it.
I believe that there is a future where things get better but for where we stand at the moment I can't deal with it and I seriously don't know what to do.
If anybody has any advice or simply wants to help, it'd be very appreciated ❤

I honestly feel so tired & mentally unwell. I wish I had the strength to kms, but I know I can’t do it for the sake of my mom, my siblings, & my nephew. It feels like things won’t get any better. I have severe PTSD from sexual assault & physical abuse and I’m trying my best, but my best just isn’t enough. I’m currently unemployed even tho I do have a college degree. I feel like there is no purpose to my life atm; just wake up, eat, breathe, pray, and repeat. On one hand, I’m so grateful to god for allowing me the mercy to wake up each day, but on the other hand, sometimes I wish I would’ve died with my father. Sometimes I wish that something bad would happen to me & kill me so that I could die naturally instead of committing suicide. I don’t think I’d ever be able to kill or fatally hurt myself, but I do want the pain to stop. I feel like it’s my fault that I have PTSD and that I’m unable to function like a normal human being. I’m in therapy, but I feel too overwhelmed to tell my therapist that I want to die because I’m exhausted, but I don’t want to be the one to kill myself. I honestly just constantly want to hit my head hard or self-harm and it’s really hard not to. A part of me just wants to punish myself and another part wants this pain to end. It feels so heavy on my chest. The anxiety is so painful.

What framework and CAD do we use
We are an economy and Vmenu hybrid. What this means is that we have QB-Core for all of our main stuff which keeps the game realistic and fun. however, we also utilize Vmenu for some things like character customization. When it comes to CAD we use Sanoran CAD. We decided to go this route because we found it to be the best and most customizable option. What this means is that we have all custom reports, 10 codes, and penal codes.
What departments do we offer
  • Civilian Department
  • Emergency Services (This includes Fire, EMS, and Communications)
  • San Andreas Highway Patrol
  • Blaine County Sheriff's Office
Our minimal restriction policy
Here at Innovation Roleplay, the founders have agreed that one of the most annoying things is joining a server and being restricted on almost everything you can do. whether it is the types of vehicles that you can drive, types of RP you can do, or weapons you can buy. So here at Innovation roleplay, we decided to make it so that the second you join the server you have minimal restrictions. What this means is that as long as your RP follows the community guidelines, is realistic, and has a story then it is fair game.
How many members do we have and how many people are on per patrol
Currently, we are just starting so although this means that we do not have a lot of members and we do not have the most active patrols we are still growing and now is a good time to get in especially if you want to go into law enforcement.
Our current patrol schedule
We currently are trying to have a patrol every day at 4pm PST, 6pm CST, 7pm EST. However, because we are a new server times may change depending on the day and when people are available.

Getting dates is predictable just like everything else is. The question is if predicting dates is complex or easy, and I'd say it follows a very basic formula like responding funnily to messages and just being very sensitive but goal oriented at the same time. If we had access to all the chats on Tinder we could easily use a large language model to chat for you, and given it's training based on so many other chats it could find the most optimal answers to get a date.
Honestly, I wish this would come true. Why? Because it would set an end to online dating and people would get rid of it. To my knowledge it's impossible to detect information that was generated by AI (if the model is large enough) and so people would be very distrustful of online dating in general, sabotaging it.
You probably all read about it, but we're experiencing something like a new era of AI, just like we experienced the era of technology and the internet only a few decades ago. Let's hope for the best that it will benefit us.

Rather than trying to ask for 35% plus inflation in one go or over three years which isn't politically achievable currently.
I feel the two speakers leading the BMA come off as amateurish sixth formers. The fact they wouldn't agree to preconditions about mobile phones being turned off, confidentiality and sharing of data beforehand shows they aren't willing to sit down in good faith in relatively normal conditions during an industrial dispute.
The fact they want to conduct negotiations while essentially live tweeting or telling Reddit comes off amateurish. These social media places don't really represent junior doctors they represent a certain type of junior doctor / angry medical student pretending to be a doctor.
There is no way the Tories will give FPR no matter how much we strike - it's a political loss to them makes them look weak and will open the floodgates to all other public sector workers - our strikes aren't that impactful they cause problems for colleagues but the government won't care bout longer waiting lists when they're already extraordinarily long - it won't hurt them politically in the context of any general election s it's a fringe issue to most of the public even those that are sympathetic) - everyone is on strike we don't stand out. Most of the public don't even realise we are striking.
Why don't we aim to do it over 7-10 years in the same way the rail workers have achieved above inflation payrises for the last 13 years. Strike every year. Every time there is a pay deal strike and play hard. That seems to me to be the only way to achieve anything meaningful. It has to be a long game.
If the amateurish confrontational approach continues beyond the next set of strikes I will probably not take part in following strikes and a fair few colleagues also feel this way. The point of the union isn't to continually push for an unacheivable aim but to achieve the best deal possible even if that is something like 8% and a lump sum. We can always come back next year with more strikes and take the long view to FPR.
