Can you guys help me figure out which amp Arch Echo uses?
2023.05.30 22:07 yusquera Can you guys help me figure out which amp Arch Echo uses?
Hello. I am in the market for a new guitar amp. My budget is 1000 dollars. I was hoping to get a sound like Arch Echo's.. they get such a crisp defined distortion sound, as well as other interesting tones. I checked their site and emailed them but I have been unable to figure out with amp they use.
Is there anyone around who knows much about gear? Can you help me figure out which amp they use, and if not can you help me get a good metal amp? I'm aware that to get a sound that they get might cost more than my budget, so if that is the case I will be open to something else. Thanks.

2023.05.30 20:11 Straight_Shallot2471 Is not offering a workmanship warranty on Standing Seam an automatic disqualifier for you?
I'm choosing between two companies to do a standing seam metal roof on our mostly 12/12 old Victorian with difficult access.
One company offers a supposed "40" year workmanship warranty but has only been in business somewhere between 5 and 15 years depending on the location (across multiple states).
$50k for 26g, $67 for 24g. - This company is mainly metal installation.
One company is 35 years old, offers absolutely 0 workmanship warranty, and assures me that "we would never have a problem" and "they pride themselves on quality of installation".
41k for 26g, 55k for 24g. - They gave me a list of about 1000 shingle roofs they did but couldn't tell me how many metal ones they did a year. They sent me some photos that look OK but I'm not a roofer.
I grilled the salesman of company 2 about what would happen if they installed and next day it leaked and he just said "well if it's a small thing like caulking we'd do it for free but if a tree fell on it we'd bill you". I couldn't get him to say on a hypothetical of what if a larger repair was needed after installation without major damage... but I'm assuming
we'd have to pay for
their mistakes.
Should we not take the cheapest quote because it doesn't have a workmanship warranty? Is that as big of a red flag as it seems? I'm worried about the possibility that we will be 40-50k down and need a 30k repair which we couldn't afford, but my husband thinks for 9k cheaper the second company is worth it, since any repairs could be less than 9k.
The second company is a small business and the salesman does seem to care about quality. The first is a very large business but one that has done a lot of metal.

2023.05.30 19:58 _RadioFlyer_ Metal Connector Suggestions
I have a large delta kite that I found at a garage sale many years ago. The dowel rods that came with it were already pretty wisened when I found it and have bent and snapped on several occasions when it has had an unfortunate encounter with a tree or high winds. I've been repairing it as this occurs (luckily not too oftern) by using bamboo sticks I harvest from a local overgrown patch in my community. My family is flying to NC for a beach trip this summer and I would really like to take it with me, and was looking at carbon fiber rods to create a frame I could disassemble and pack. Unfortunately, I cannot seeme to find any with metal connectors or even find the connector seperately.
Where can I find thing metal tubing that I can use to join peices of the frame when I need to use the kite? Any suggestions?

2023.05.30 19:47 Then_Marionberry_259 MAY 30, 2023 NCU.TO NEVADA COPPER ANNOUNCES CLOSING OF PUBLIC OFFERING

(TSX: NCU) (OTC: NEVDF) (FSE: ZYTA) (“ Nevada Copper ” or the “ Company ”) is pleased to announce that it has completed its previously announced public offering of units of the Company (the “ Units ”), which included a partial exercise of the over-allotment option (the “ Over-Allotment Option ”), by a syndicate of underwriters that included Scotiabank, Jett Capital LLC, National Bank Financial, RBC Capital Markets, Research Capital Corporation, and Haywood Securities Inc. The Company issued an aggregate of 196,038,400 Units, including 22,333,400 Units pursuant to the Over-Allotment Option, at a price of C$0.27 per Unit, for aggregate gross proceeds of approximately C$52.9 million (the “ Offering ”). Each Unit consists of one common share of the Company (each a “ Common Share ”) and one-half of one Common Share purchase warrant (each full warrant, a “ Warrant ”, and collectively the “ Warrants ”). Each Warrant is exercisable for one Common Share (each a “ Warrant Share ”) at a price of C$0.34 per Warrant Share until September 30, 2024. The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering and those contemplated under the financing package agreement (as discussed in the Company’s May 9, 2023 news release) to continue funding the restart and ramp-up of the Company’s Pumpkin Hollow underground mine (the “ Underground Mine ”) and for general corporate purposes, including working capital, with the goal of achieving nameplate production capacity of 5,000 tons per day by the end of 2023. Pala Investments Limited (“ Pala ”), the Company’s largest shareholder, purchased an aggregate of 108,442,714 Units under the Offering, representing aggregate gross proceeds of approximately C$29.3 million. In addition, Mercuria Energy Holdings (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“ Mercuria ”), another significant shareholder of the Company, purchased 24,814,814 Units under the Offering, for an aggregate purchase of approximately C$6.7 million. After closing of the Offering, Pala’s ownership interest in the Company on a non-diluted basis has increased from approximately 43% to approximately 47% and Mercuria’s ownership interest in the Company on a non-diluted basis has decreased from approximately 24% to approximately 23% (inclusive of 46,000,000 Common Shares and 25,848,765 Common Shares acquired by Pala and Mercuria, respectively, upon exercise of a portion of their existing Common Share purchase warrants issued in connection with the Company’s October 2022 financing). As previously announced, Pala has agreed to exercise the balance of the Common Share purchase warrants issued in connection with the Company’s October 2022 financing subject to the expiry of a review period or clearance in respect of anticipated filings under the United States Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 (“ HSR Clearance ”) to permit Pala to exceed a majority ownership interest in the Company. The exercise of the foregoing Common Share purchase warrants by Pala, together with the prior Common Share purchase warrant exercise, will reduce approximately US$82 million of debt obligations owing by the Company to Pala. Upon receipt of HSR Clearance and the completion of the subsequent Common Share purchase warrant exercise, Pala’s ownership interest in the Company on a non-diluted basis is expected to increase to approximately 61.7%. The Company anticipates obtaining HSR Clearance in approximately 60 days. The Company has also drawn the remaining US$10 million of the US$25 million amount that was added to the Company’s senior credit facility with KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH, as tranche A-2, as part of the Company’s October 2022 financing. As previously announced, concurrent with closing of the Offering, Pala and Mercuria have entered into a deferred funding agreement in favour of the Company, pursuant to which Pala and Mercuria will provide up to US$15 million and US$10 million, respectively, subject to certain conditions, to be drawn pro rata by the Company, if required, until June 30, 2024. These funds, if required, will be advanced in exchange for Common Shares, convertible debt and/or non-convertible debt of the Company. In addition, as announced in the Company’s May 9, 2023 news release, Pala had also agreed to provide US$10 million in debt funding to the Company, US$5.5 million of which was advanced prior to announcement of the Offering. The additional US$4.5 million in debt funding was subject to certain conditions, including, but not limited to, the reduction on a dollar-for-dollar basis of the funding if the Over-Allotment Option was exercised. Given the partial exercise of the Over-Allotment Option, Pala was not required to fund the additional US$4.5 million commitment. 2023.05.30 19:42 Kind_Article9821 Why should you consider trading gold?
Due to the diversification of the gold trading market, many people who have not traded gold can now consider starting to trade gold. In the past, people had to purchase physical gold bars, coins or other forms of precious metals in order to participate in gold investing. Of course, these trading methods are still available, but many different online gold investment options have been added to the marketplace.
Gold is traded in a variety of ways, including gold futures, spot and options, and traded open-end index funds (ETFs). Traders can also trade gold against the U.S. dollar and several other major currencies. As with the foreign exchange market, gold and other precious metals have a great deal of liquidity.
With the exception of major currency pairs such as the Euro/U.S. Dollar (EUUSD), the U.S. DollaJapanese Yen (USD/JPY) and the British Pound/Dollar (GBP/USD), gold has a higher daily trading volume than most currency pairs. It is the huge daily trading volume of gold that makes the fees and additional charges for trading gold in the market relatively low.

2023.05.30 19:07 LonnieJay1 Storytime: back to burglary
“So, what, I'm just supposed to sit in my car by the train tracks until you call?” I ask, as my car rolls to a stop. I regret the words as soon as they come out of my mouth.
“I thought you said this kid was smart?” Connor asks Johnny, from the back seat.
“I thought he was, too. Yes, obviously. Wait here – and cut the headlights, goddammit,” Johnny says, looking at me from the front seat of my Monte Carlo and shaking his head. He looks furious. He is sweaty, despite Old Man Winter starting to get his grip on Maryland. I look away from him and cut the headlights off.
The freezing rain that is coming down is a perfect match for Johnny’s mood and our plan tonight. Johnny is dopesick. Besides the sweat on his face, his visible irritation, and his obvious anxiety, his wide eyes and pupils are a dead giveaway to a fellow junkie. He no longer looks like the healthy and decent-looking kid that I saw when he got out of jail.
He looks absolutely skeletal, his cheeks sunken in from his heroin habit. He has bags under his eyes, and they somehow look equally terrible during both the over-stimulation of withdrawal and the extreme sedation of a dose of heroin. He is sick now, but he was incredibly high last night. So was I.
I still am. Despite how high on heroin I am, I am not high enough to think that I look better. I would never want anybody that I know to see me right now. I don’t even want to see myself.
Johnny gets out of the car. Connor, a blonde haired, blue-eyed, Irish-looking kid, follows suit. I push the ‘trunk’ button to open the trunk and hear it pop open. I cringe at how loud the sound is. I watch my side view mirror.
I see Johnny and Connor pull two shirts out of the trunk and wrap them around their faces, while they are illuminated by the surreal red color of my brake lights. I have extra shirts that I keep in the trunk in case I soak mine through with sweat while playing ball, and now they are being used in a robbery.
I can see the gravel road that is underneath us stretching out behind us. The gravel road is surrounded by huge, old trees. We are deep in the sticks. About a half mile back are the train tracks where I will wait. Connor and Johnny move out, towards a very small and well concealed driveway.
I start to pull off, slowly, not turning on my headlights yet, even though I can’t see anything at all. I listen to the gravel crunching underneath my car, my entire body clenched as I drive, hoping that I don’t hit a tree. These properties are huge. I couldn’t even see most of the houses from the road, even when it was daylight outside. These are double digit-acre properties.
Johnny is probably right. This is going to be one hell of a come-up. I manage to drive only a little further down the road before I turn my headlights back on, too scared to keep driving into the pitch-black dead of night. I go half a mile and then turn around in somebodies’ driveway, careful to back in, conscious of where I shine my headlights.
Ok, now back to the train tracks until Johnny calls. My heart starts to beat faster.
How did this happen? I was clean. I was so happy. I thought I wasn’t an alcoholic. I drank, and drank again, and drank again. It doesn’t matter if it was just on the weekends for a while. I should’ve known I was going to smoke, too, eventually. I started to smoke, I stopped playing ball, and I started hanging out with Johnny all the time.
Alcohol gave me a hangover. Weed took it away. I became a stoner again, and adderall helped me get through the lazy fog of the weed burnout and force myself to play ball again – until it made me too anxious. The anxiety led me back to oxy. It was only supposed to be one time; one 30mg pill.
Now, I’m doing heroin again.
Of course. With heroin comes robbery. The cycle is complete – well, it will be once I get arrested again, and I definitely will.
I park at the train tracks and turn my car off. The car that I paid off with money that I worked for while I was clean and happy.
Didn’t matter. Never does. Nothing matters, Lonnie.
Not the ‘nothing matters’ thought loop. Please. Anything but this.
I reach into the inside of my left sock and pull the last of my heroin out. The 3 of us bought some last night. They have no self-control or hustle, which is why they are broke and dopesick right now.
I pour some of it onto the ‘Illmatic’ CD case I keep in my car. I use the same CD case to sniff my drugs, every time.
The heroin is a chunky tan powder. It is Baltimore’s ‘raw’ heroin. It’s good, but I know I can find better. I am generous in my self-prescription. After all, robbery anxiety can’t be good for my health. I sniff the dope slowly, hoping to ease the burn that always ensues upon insufflation. It doesn’t burn too bad this time.
I put everything away and recline the driver’s seat. That ought to do the trick. I lean back as far as I can, and then tilt my head back. I sit and wait for the God of dreams, Morpheus, to say hello. The warmth, the muscle relaxation, the dreamy euphoria. The itch, even.
I can’t wait. I hate waiting.
I wait. A minute, then two. Then, I start to feel an extremely pleasant tingle in the back of my neck. All of my limbs become comfortable and warm.
Ah, there it is. Like the tickle of an angel. My whole body relaxes with pleasure. Parts of my body that I didn’t even know I could relax wind up relaxing. All of my needs are satisfied. I have not one worry in the world.
Why am I trying to keep my eyes open? They don’t even need to be open.
A loud, frantic, continuous series of knocks startles me awake. I can hear Johnny's voice before my eyes adjust to my environment.
"-the fucking door"
I semi-spring into action, fumbling for the handle only to find the door locked. I see Johnny running around the hood of my car, over to the passenger side. I hear Connor hitting his fist loudly, aggressively, and repeatedly against the trunk of the car. I unlock the doors, pop the trunk, and then glance in the mirror just in time to see Connor put something in my trunk.
The passenger door opens a millisecond after it is unlocked. It remains open for a few seconds. The trunk slams, and Connor appears, diving smoothly into the back seat.
“Go-go-go,” Johnny says, as he locks the passenger seat back into place, sits down, and slams the door in one motion. He almost closes it on his own leg. The interior of the car plunges into darkness as I start it, put it in drive, and pull off as quickly as I can. I can maintain silence for less than a second of driving.
“What did we get?” I ask. My nose itches. I itch it.
“We?” Connor asks from the back seat.
“Yeah, WE,” I say, unable to keep anger from edging into my voice. “The only reason I didn't come in with you guys is cuz you told me not to,” I add.
“Yeah, because you don't need the money,” Johnny says. I glance over at him. Even through the darkness, I can tell he is sweating even more than before, though he no longer seems angry. They must have made out good, for Johnny to suddenly be able to control his rage and tolerate his sickness like this.
“Bullshit. I need the money,” I say, looking back to the gravel road in front of us. I have to take us back to Johnny’s grandmas’ place. It is at least a 30-minute drive.
“You aren't even sick, Lambo,” Johnny says, softly, like a parent trying to calm their kid down.
“What did you come up on in there?” I ask. I have to know.
“Don't worry about it. You'll get your weed,” Connor interjects quickly. I say nothing. I look back over at Johnny. He's staring at the road. I keep staring at him, waiting for him to look back at me, but he never does.
“Fuck you, Connor,” I say. He chuckles, the way he might at a kid.
45 minutes later.
Johnny gave me extra hashish to assuage his guilt. I know they found a LOT of money in that house. Johnny knew it was loaded. He knew there were pounds of hash, pounds of weed, and fat stacks of cash. That's why we hit it. Fuck them for not even letting me see the inside of the cooler.
My mind takes me back to something Connor said, yet again.
“That's all you get. Unless you're a dope boy in disguise,” he sneered at me, before giving me only half of the ounce of hashish that he was supposed to give me. Dope fiends are the lowest of the low, but dope boys...
I'm off probation. I can make a run at selling heroin. I have thousands of dollars saved from being clean and working my ass off. In our city, heroin sells for quadruple what it does in Baltimore. Go to Baltimore, buy heroin, bring it back here, sell it, quadruple my money. Easy.
I drive and scheme as to how I am going to do it. No way that motherfucker Connor will be involved. I get back to my parents’ house, sniff more dope, and lay in bed. As the dope hits me, it becomes easier and easier to see myself as a heroin kingpin. I have much greater resources now than in my old oxy dealing days. I could really pull it off – especially with Johnny’s help. I can see myself in that Benz I wanted so badly in high school.
I float and drift further into my fantasy, and my waking dream becomes a dreamless nothing.

2023.05.30 19:07 jamieshelpaccount Could improper laundry outlet cause overheating rooms overhead?
Moved into a bungalow in 2008. Southern Ontario, Canada
Previous owner did plenty of renos and finished the basement, and in the process it looks as though he moved the washedryer. Our house is a common model in the neighborhood and of the other homes I've been in they all have the laundry in one area while in ours is in another area altogether. I reckon/hope he had an electrician wire the new plug, but it looks like he ran the duct for the dryer himself.
The dryer duct goes into the wall, comes out the other side, up the wall into the basement drop ceiling then goes out to a vent on the outside wall.
Directly above the laundry room is Bedroom A. Next to Bedroom A is Bedroom B. Both of these get very hot, like a sauna. The master bedroom is counter-corner to begin Bedroom B and across from b Bedroom A, and it's absolutely fine, temperature-wise.
We had a building inspector check out our house recently (for various reasons) and of course at the time the bedrooms were fine. He has a heat camera and found nothing. He did find that out attic insulation was entirely too inadequate. We had that remedied hoping it would solve the problem.
Spoilers - it did not.
Though the heat does not 100% correlate to the dryer running I'm thinking there must be a connection.
Originally the dryer duct going through the wall was that cheap white plastic kind, like the stuff garbage bags are made of. I replaced this with a stronger metal/tin kind, hoping it would help improve things. It did, but only very slightly.
Can anyone suggest anything else I can do to help improve the situation? My daughters suffer in the summer as it's way too hot in thier rooms.
Alternately do you think I'm barking up the wrong tree here?
Thanks!

2023.05.30 18:52 oshiesmom Is this crazy or am I?
Our son is getting married in a few weeks. I’ll preface this by saying I LOVE my new daughter in law. We are pretty simple people, live on a farm in Michigan and have a modest income. Our kids are all adults and have great jobs. They are super self sufficient and can do just about anything such as car repairs, house repairs/makeovers, cooking, baking, etc. Our daughter in law comes from a swanky town closer to the city. Her parents live in a 1.5 million dollar condo, they just think about money differently. There is a lot of posturing and just assuming that money grows on trees for everyone. The kids, (both 30) wanted a small friends and immediate family wedding- 50 people max. Her folks said they HAVE to have a “real” wedding and they would pay….. not so true as we get closer. We are hosting the rehearsal dinner for 40 people (?) and the wedding is 150 people, a full weekend at a destination wedding place in northern Michigan which involves an air bnb, planning food and drink for the entire weekend, etc. her parents are now starting to freak out regarding the cost.. We are of course paying for our air bnb (700), the dinner ($1000) plus about another $1000 in other expenses. Our two adult daughters were invited to a bachelorette “weekend”.. They just received their bill for the weekend of $210 each. The party started at DIL sisters house with activities, brunch at her parents the following day, an evening out Saturday night, brunch again on Sunday, again at a friends this time. My thoughts are if you want to plan a three day event that is so elaborate with different activities (they had a psychic Friday night) a party bus, tie dye custom shirts, etc. shouldn’t the host foot the bill? I would never host an event that was so costly then expect people to just pony up the cash (btw, sister has plenty of $$$ which is why this isn’t a big deal for her). Her parents keep insisting we get the rehearsal dinner catered instead of having a big Greek cookout. Mind you, we have entertained 200+ in the past with ease so 40 is a walk in the park. It’s not that our menu is cheap either. Beef kabobs, chicken kababs, grilled veggies, homemade pita, tdzicki, Greek salad, rice with red sauce and baklava. I make this 4-5 times a year with beef tenderloin. Every time we discuss the wedding it gets mentioned again. I don’t have $4k that I’m willing to spend to cater this dinner…. Ugh. Am I being cheap or are they just out of touch with the reality for most people? Btw- it’s not that we CAN’T afford it, I just see it as a ridiculous waste of money.

2023.05.30 18:43 HatakeIchizokuFujin [CA] Highly poisonous trees planted along popular walking path in neighborhood
I am a caretaker of five disabled or senior animals (3 cats, two dogs). While on our morning walk, our leashed kitty nibbled on a piece of flower that fell off a tree. Immediate chaos ensues and we rush her to ER. I also handled parts of the tree and became ill with acute diarrhea and vomiting.
After a stressful day of consulting with Posion Control and bringing in Botantists to verify identity, the conclusion is that the trees (over a hundred planted along the walking path and near a children’s playground in my subdivision) are Nerium Oleander, an insanely poisonous tree. I am an Ecologist and along with the Bontanists, we pulled multiple studies and cases of children and wildlife being killed by touching and/or ingesting any part of this tree.
We are currently thousands of dollars into vet bills as the emergency room is trying to save my cat. I reached out to the HOA with all of the info I had gathered, explaining everything here and asked them to follow-up. I received an email that they would look into it.
My LA question is
a) Is it illegal to plant a highly dangerous shrub/tree in this manner
b) Is the HOA responsible for damages
c) Doctor told me I should be able to file the vet bills with my renters insurance; is this an accurate statement?
d) Do I have avenues of recourse to make sure someone else’s pet or child isn’t killed by this tree

2023.05.30 18:36 flatline000 Are 2mm lead holders getting more popular?
I've started seeing 2mm lead holders with colored leads in mainstream stores like Target, Walmart, Dollar Tree, etc. And it seems like new members posting their collections are more likely to include 2mm lead holders than a couple of years ago.
Is the general public becoming more aware of 2mm lead holders?
This would be great, if true.

2023.05.30 18:15 chippymanempire More Interesting Ocean Journeys
Currently, the ocean in Minecraft is... quite lively in fact? After all, we have reefs, fish, squid, and the occasional monument. That's not that bad, is it?
The problem stems from the surface. Oceans don't tend to be very large, and journeys aren't much longer than a few minutes 90% of the time.
So I propose we
make the oceans much larger! Unfortunately, I do not know much about terrain generation, but I think we should also add
Archipelagos. These groups of islands would be rather flat, not much higher than Y=5, and they would be made exclusively out of sand and would generate in these three forms:
- Blob: A square-ish piece of land, rarely bigger than 20x20.
- Bar: A thin line that can go on for up to 70 blocks
- Atoll: The rare kind. A near-perfect ring filled with a 1-block deep pool.
A new Palm Tree would inhabit these islands. Similarly to the acacia, it would be bent, however it's leaves have a different, fan-like shape, allowing for some nice decoration, as well as providing a lovely sandy-yellow woodset.
However, the real treasure is in
coconuts. Each Palm tree can grow up to three coconuts, and can be harvested by breaking the first log of the tree.
In their basic form, coconuts can't do much. You can, however, throw them like snowballs, dealing 1 damage on hit, or a whopping 3 on headshot! These coconuts drop as items on impact, however they have a 25% chance to transform into an open coconut, which has
many more uses:
- They can be eaten for 2 hunger points
- They can be used as fuel, equivalent to 3 sticks of time.
- And they can even be made into armour!
Just as you'd make metal armour, coconuts can be used to make coconut armour. They only have the durability of gold armour and defence of chainmail, however they can significantly reduce projectile damage (25% reduction).
This, paired with the wood tools one can make with the palm logs, can make seafarer's lives just a bit less wobbly...
Thank you for your time

2023.05.30 18:10 Important-Basil2948 A Problem with Buying typewriters on FB Marketplace
Gon'na rant for a moment, and I'm curious if anyone in here has had the same experience.
I bought my 12th typewriter, and my first ultra-portable, from a Facebook seller; a nifty little SC Skyriter (1950 Y2, metal case) that has a few quirks, but once I blew it out, cleaned the type, and replaced the ribbon works wonderfully. I knew I was overpaying when I bought it for $120 without personally reviewing its condition before purchase, but it was on my check list of models I wanted.
Jump to two weeks later, the seller comes back at me with two more machines, a THUROGHLY thrashed 1925 Remmington Portable with a cracked platen, missing feet, visible rust, and chipped paint, and an inoffensive 1947 Underwood Champion.
I look at her photos, and I think, ok, I'll bite, what is she looking for pricewise on these two. She comes back with $120 for the Remington and $100 for the Underwood, and I admit I felt offended. Since I'm a recovering crow, I have to regularly repeat to myself "Old =/= Valuable." I've learned to value the functionality and ingenuity of a typewriter, and I'll even take on a project machines if they won't break the bank...
But to ask for $120 for an unusable machine seems beyond the pale. I'm at least going to have to strip and heat shrink the platen to make that usable (would prefer a pro recover for a vintage like this, though), Find a new ribbon, and DEEP CLEAN the machine before I can use it! And that's only what I can identify from the pictures. Factoring time and material, I'm out a minimum of $200 dollars on top of the initial purchase.
And as for the Underwood... It looks like every other Post WW2 typewriter I've considered in the past, and it's not even clean. GRANTED, I do not have an Underwood yet, but this typer isn't the #5 on the wishlist.
Am I over-reacting? I feel like the fact that I bought the Skyriter higher than I ought to have for an un-serviced unit set a bad precedent, and I'm now seen as a mark. I honestly don't think the Remington is worth more than $50-75, and the Underwood is unremarkable and so does not warrant more than $25-$50. The prices they're demanding, I would at LEAST expect the machines to be serviced and/or clean...

(TSXV:CCW) (OTC:CCWOF) (Frankfurt:4T9B) (the “Company” or “Canada Silver Cobalt”) announces that the Company is pleased that the Ontario Legislature has approved Bill 71 containing changes to the Ontario Mining Act which marks the way for regulations of the recovery permit. The recovery permit will be a streamlined method to reprocess historic mine wastes like the Beaver Mine and Castle Mine stamp mill tailings. “We are excited that Bill 71 is approved and will lead to new developments in regulation in Ontario including the mineral recovery permit. This should enable us to process tailings like those at the Beaver Mine in a cost effective and timely manner and could lead to new opportunities that previously had unneeded hurdles. Not only will this allow companies like Canada Silver Cobalt to turn historic hazards into profits but gives us the opportunity to clean out deleterious elements from the environment, and restacking or disposing of tailings in a cleaner more stable fashion,” said Matt Halliday, P.Geo. President of Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. Potential Sites for Application of Recovery Permit: Beaver Mine Tailings Canada Silver Cobalt Works completed 127 sonic holes for 354 meters recovered at the Beaver Mine and 378 samples were assayed for silver, cobalt, nickel and copper. The grade for tailings was high with silver assays ranging from 13.7 to 314 grams per tonne. See news release from February 5, 2021, Castle Mine Tailings SGS Lakefield produced a gravity concentrate from the Castle Mine tailings grading 389 g/t silver. 0.63 g/t gold and 0.20% cobalt. See news release from March 1, 2019. According to Ontario’s Critical Minerals Strategy , the government is encouraging mineral recovery from mining waste. Mining is becoming cleaner through new technology that reduces environmental impacts. To facilitate mineral recovery, Ontario amended the Mining Act to introduce the new recovery permit. This will allow the reprocessing of mining wastes without the requirement to file a mine production closure plan or obtain a mining lease. The government has stated it is committed to developing the regulatory framework for the mineral recovery program, and is exploring innovative solutions for rethinking mining wastes. The intention is to measure success by reducing the burden and realizing cost savings for the mineral development sector, reduce the time an application takes, increase clarity on the regulatory requirement and application process. Part of the framework: To obtain a recovery permit to undertake this activity, an applicant is required to demonstrate in its application that it will remediate the land such that the condition of the land, with respect to one or more of: (i) public health and safety or (ii) the environment, is improved following the recovery and remediation activities. (Source: Environmental Registry of Ontario March 2, 2023 ero.ontario.ca ) The recovery permit provisions have not yet come into force. Qualified person The technical information in this news release was approved and prepared under the supervision of Mr. Matthew Halliday, P.Geo., (PGO), President and COO of Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc., a qualified person accordance with National Instrument 43-101. Quality Assurance/Quality Control The Beaver tailings were sampled using a Sonic drill. The drill holes are all vertical with a maximum hole length of 4.78 m and a maximum sample length of 1.6 m (average individual sample length 0.8 m). Drill sample recovery is around 85%. Two quality control samples (blank and standards) were inserted into each batch of 20 samples. The tailings samples were placed in a plastic bag, tagged and sealed then shipped to ALS laboratory Val D'Or. The entire sample was dried, weighed and fully pulverized up to 250 g 85% <75 µm. Samples were then split using riffle splitter and 35 elements were analysed using Aqua Regia ICP-AES. Samples grading above 100 g/t Ag, 10,000 ppm Cu, 10,000 ppm Mo, 10,000 ppm Pb or 10,000 ppm Zn were reanalysed using OG46 Method. A total of 10 blank and 10 standards (STD 1 and STD 2) were used during the sampling program. A 120-kilogram sample from the Castle mine’s historic tailings pond was randomly collected in pails and subsequently transported by courier to SGS Laboratories, an accredited lab in Lakefield, Ontario. Samples were submitted for assay. Aqua regia digestion and atomic absorption finish were used for silver, gold, cobalt, nickel and copper analysis. Cautionary Statement No resource estimate or economic analysis of the Castle tailings area has been carried out by the Company. Canada Cobalt will not be basing a production decision at Castle on a feasibility study of mineral reserves demonstrating economic and technical viability, and as a result there is increased uncertainty and there are multiple technical and economic risks of failure associated with such a decision. These risks, among others, include areas that are analyzed in more detail in a feasibility study, such as applying economic analysis to resources and reserves, more detailed metallurgy and a number of specialized studies in areas such as mining and recovery methods, market analysis, and environmental and community impacts. About Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. recently discovered a major high-grade silver vein system at Castle East located 1.5 km from its 100%-owned, past-producing Castle Mine near Gowganda in the prolific and world-class silver-cobalt mining district of Northern Ontario. The Company has completed a 60,000m drill program aimed at expanding the size of the deposit with an update to the resource estimate underway. In May 2020, based on a small initial drill program, the Company published the region’s first 43-101 resource estimate that contained a total of 7.56 million ounces of silver in Inferred resources, comprising very high-grade silver (8,582 grams per tonne un-cut or 250.2 oz/ton) in 27,400 tonnes of material from two sections (1A and 1B) of the Castle East Robinson Zone, beginning at a vertical depth of approximately 400 meters. Note that mineral resources that are not mineral reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability. Please refer to Canada Silver Cobalt Works Press Release May 28, 2020, for the resource estimate. Report reference: Rachidi, M. 2020, NI 43-101 Technical Report Mineral Resource Estimate for Castle East, Robinson Zone, Ontario, Canada, with an effective date of May 28, 2020, and a signature date of July 13, 2020. The Company also has: (1) 14 battery metals properties in Northern Quebec where it has recently completed a nearly 16,000-metre drill program on the Graal property; and (2) the prospective 1,000-hectare Eby-Otto gold property close to Agnico Eagle’s high-grade Macassa Mine near Kirkland Lake, Ontario where it is exploring. (3) lithium property – 230 square kilometers of greenfield exploration ground focussed along a significant volcanic sedimentary rock – Archean granite contact near Cochrane, Ontario contiguous to Power Metals’ Case Lake Lithium properties. Canada Silver Cobalt’s flagship silver-cobalt Castle mine and 78 sq. km Castle Property feature strong exploration upside for silver, cobalt, nickel, gold, and copper. With underground access at the fully owned Castle Mine, an exceptional high-grade silver discovery at Castle East, a pilot plant to produce cobalt-rich gravity concentrates, a processing facility (TTL Laboratories) in the town of Cobalt, and a proprietary hydrometallurgical process known as Re-2Ox (for the creation of technical-grade cobalt sulphate as well as nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) formulations), Canada Silver Cobalt is strategically positioned to become a Canadian leader in the silver-cobalt space.
