Marilyn manson the love song lyrics

The Pizza Game

2015.05.31 17:55 jwad650 The Pizza Game

"The Pizza Game" is meant to highlight generic lyrics in any song, but especially pop love songs, wherein the song is so generic, it could just as soon be about a piece of pizza than another human being. And therefore the song actually IS about Pizza. If a song passes all of the game criteria, it passes the pizza test, and you win the pizza game. Come play!

2023.06.07 10:28 Ticky009 A day in the Life of a whippet owner

Wake up to my yodelling alarm clock at 7am on the dot. Feed 7 mnth old pupper & I head to shower - no singing required as I get my own musical songs through the door.
Get socks...10 minutes later actually get socks on. Retrieve hidden shoes. Repeat.
Leave house. Listen to Song of the Disappointed as I walk down the street.
Check security camera from work...seems okay. Clearly this is a False Positive.
Come home to gymnastic love fest of appreciation. Is there anything better?
Notice I'd forgot to close Laundry door....Sigh. Begin safety check.
Find a single shoe from 3 different pairs + 1 sock. Find the gutted cotton filling of Care Bear throughout the loungeroom and backyard.
Begin picking up mess only to be reminded I left kitchen barrier open after making my cup of coffee - as Luna prances past me crunching happily on Sugar free pill dispenser..with tablets now joining the cotton bunting all over the back yard.
Open up mail delivery. See its the awesome Caterpillar fluffy cuddle toy & look👀 at pupper. Do the parent thing and 'tuck it away until she's older'.
Take Luna for walk
Feed the Twiggy of the dog world and think if my mum were still alive she'd be sly feeding my little miss like you wouldn't believe.
Throw & watch the Stalking of the Happy Hippo toy and its squeals as Luna does the head shake 'kill'. Repeat 50 times or until you lose count. Usually the later. Repeat with ball & other toys. Think you should have had a kid just so they could wear each other out for you.
Enjoy 2 hours of peace as she naps. Get lapful of fur baby once she wakes. Paws in painful places. Confirm to Luna that standing on back of lounge is just bad manners and if she thinks she can jump from lounge to kitchen bench Mummy is going to be very cross. Know for certain this is going to happen in the future anyways.
Another power nap - then its time for Mummy to go to bed. Tell Luna its wee time. Receive Eye of Disdain because bed is warm and comfy and its winter outside.
Pick Luna up and carry her outside. Have long and heartfelt conversation on 'this is why we can't have nice things' and wait for 20 minutes in the freezing cold before she finally deigns to do wee. All the while tip toeing across the wet grass like a four legged ballerina.
Go to bed.
Rinse Repeat.

2023.06.07 10:26 berniedankera My shrooms experience at Coachella

I've been meaning to reflect back on my first Coachella experience this year because of how impactful it was. It was chaotic, euphoric, and blissful throughout the whole weekend.
Come Saturday morning (2nd day), I decide to take 0.5g of Penis Envy, eagerly waiting for the day to begin as I was pumped to see Jai Paul perform for the first time. Anyhow, I wash it down with a Yerba Mate in my car and got ready to head out with my group. As I make my way outside, I went and greeted myself to my camping neighbours and began talking about our backgrounds and the sets we wanted to catch. We ended up going to see Yaeji perform later, but I meet back with my group to see Yung Lean perform first. While I was on my way, I was thinking to myself if that was me sober or if that was my trip beginning to hit earlier. But anyways, during Lean's set, that's when I knew for certain my shrooms kicked in. I felt anxious at first but once he performed Kyoto, all my anxiety went away to the point where I made it to the mosh pit.
As I was making my way back to camp to briefly rest, I began voicing all my thoughts out loud, because I was complimenting everyone's outfits. I was so blown away with how creative and gnarly everyone's fits were throughout the whole weekend. I don't know if it was a combination of the desert heat and the shrooms, but I was amazed with how social I was with everyone (side-note: it felt cool seeing everyone's positive reactions). Not to say that I'm antisocial when I'm sober which I'm not in the slightest, but my trip accelerated that through the roof. I was thankful my friends were there who made sure I was hydrated, which I recommend everyone to invest in water backpacks and iv liquid! They came in clutch for the whole fest.
Fast forward to Yaeji's set I was still baked and at that point I was blown away with how it LASTS, but I did not feel any anxiety at all thanks to Yaeji's set which was insane! During the end of her set, I meet a girl next to me at front row. She mentioned she's best friends with one of the back up dancers, and I was so blown away. It took me a while to take that in because it sounded so casual yet was so sick haha. As I was still contemplating on that, Yaeji closed her set with Raingurl which was a blast!!! The whole stage (which mind you had roof chandeliers) felt like one giant club, I was at a loss of words.
While heading out after her set, I was ready to hit the hay but that's when I turned to my left and JAI PAUL WAS PERFORMING at the next stage! I was already so blown away by the day at that point, that I forgot who I was mostly looking forward to see haha. As I'm making my way, the crowd was already packed but I was determined. I at first tried to convince the security to let me through vip WHICH he agreed to on the condition that I Venmoed him. I said forget that, and I still made it front row through ga lol. Jai Paul somehow someway ended up topping both Yung Lean and Yaeji in a way I cannot describe. Throughout his whole set, I felt like I was on a spiritual journey in Mumbai. Speaking of which, he closed his set with Str8 Outta Mumbai which got me in genuine tears of joy. Halfway through that song, he samples vocals from Vani Jairam which translates from Hindi, 'the personification of music as a lover is to express love for music'. That was the most euphoric and life changing event I've ever experienced at a festival, let alone a performance. To close it off, I met and danced with some dude who visited all the way from Nepal just to see him perform.
I cannot fathom how all of that occurred in the span of just ONE day. I just can't comprehend that looking back at it, but thank god I was capable of recording most of it. The weekend as a whole was just insane. It was sick and I'm super thankful that my experience was one that left a lasting and positive impact on me. The idea of seeing a Swedish rapper perform, then a K-house artist, to seeing a British Indian artist WHOSE NEVER PERFORMED IN HIS CAREER is just insane looking back.
I want to disclose I don't want to encourage anyone based on my positive experience. Being on any substance in the Coachella heat is no joke and I was thankful I took all precautions before and during. But on that note, it was gnarly and I look forward to returning lol

i was an avid julia listener in high school but i have to admit i have gradually moved on from much of the indie and folk rock style of music. i still definitely enjoy it but i listen to it far less now. anyways, pressure to party came up on my shuffle randomly for the first time in years and i just forgot how incredible her lyrics are. my stomach started to hurt because the song was so good and i was brushing my teeth and singing along and spinning in the bathroom and i had to share this with people who might understand. you just can’t stand still while listening to that song.

2023.06.07 10:01 CuntinentalBrekkie 29M UK/Anywhere [Chat] - Looking for someone with decent conversation and decent banter to hang out with.

Heyyy, thanks for taking the time to check out my post & I hope you find at least part of it interesting enough to send me a message. Anyway, without further ado...
I'm coming at you live from the sunny UK (no joke, it's literally blistering this week for some reason and I AM SUFFERING). As much as we can all appreciate a good bit of sunshine, it's nice in moderation but our houses are designed like little hotboxes, the heat stays in so i'm currently typing in shorts and a wife-beater whilst an industrial fan that I got cools me down - hot, right?
My sleeping pattern is just as inconsistent as Marvel Studios is with their quality. I'musually up at all hours (I do work but it's flexible to a degree) so am happy to speak with anyone from anywhere. All I ask is that you're patient and understanding of timezones and...life in general. I've spoken with individuals in the past who have flew off the handle if you don't reply on their clock, so I appreciate someone who's horizontal levels of laid back please.
I like to travel and enjoy snowsports, both of which go hand in hand. As a result, I've been fortunate enough to travel all over Europe many times. Aside from travelling for that, I like to visit new places from Greece to the Czech Republic to Spain and so on. Also been to the US a few times but would really like to visit Japan or Norway one day, maybe Brazil but my pale self would probably incinerate over there. What's your dream destination?
Gaming is a big hobby of mine and I currently play on PS2/3/4/5, Switch & PC. I'd say what games I play but I hop between far too many at once, though I've been blasting Diablo IV and Street Fighter 6 recently. Phasmaphobia is always a good laugh and if you know of Hunt, you're an absolute champ. If you play, what are some of your favourite games?
When it comes to music, i'll listen to anything and everything, really, so feel free to be the DJ on any and all future road trips whilst I drive. Which brings me on to the next one - I love driving and going on the occasional road trip or spontaneous day/weekend out. Any song recommendations?
Movies too, anything and everything, though I do have a bit of a soft spot for horror despite the genre being completely dragged through the mud time and again. Fallen off of Marvel movies recently since they seem to have ZERO SENSE OF DIRECTION following Endgame, but I'll gladly re-watch SOME of them. The BIG BALLER Franchise is, and always will be...Star Wars (despite what Papa Disney did to the movies with VII-IX). Tell me your favourite movies!
I have a keen interest in the paranormal despite being mostly skeptic, I'd say more of an optimistic skeptic would best describe my outlook. Got any scary stories to share? Also enjoy learning about animals and different periods in history. Conspiracy theories are always a good laugh too. What's the wildest one you've heard of?I like to practice martial arts and watch the UFC and Boxing on occasion & as always, good olde WWE is never a dull time, can always stick it on for a little and have some degree of entertainment. Do you watch or play any sports?
Cats, dogs and nope ropes, I have all the pet pics for you. If you have any pets/fur companions, I would LOVE to see them.
I also like to cook and experiment with food. I'll try anything twice and am an average food challenge enjoyer, though I'm not quite Man V Food levels of food challenge.
Please send me your name, age and location in your opening message. A photo would also be appreciated BUT I do understand that this is Reddit and some degree of apprehension/caution is understandable, so don't worry if you aren't comfortable right off the bat. Ideally if we get on well, I would like to move platform preferably to Discord.
If you actually read all of this, I appreciate you. Have a great morning/afternoon/evening & I hope to hear from you.

Wakeone’s style of vocal sound quality is slightly muffled, autotuney, and robotic with overpowering instrumentals :(
I just realized that we won’t be getting the crystal clear vocals from ZB1 like we did from Boys Planet. When you compare the official versions of “Here I Am” from Boys Planet and ZB1, the difference in vocal sound quality is obvious, especially in the bridge with hao and hanbin. In the Boys Planet version, their voices are so clear and you can truly feel their emotions as if they're singing right beside you. But their voices in the ZB1 version sound a bit muffled, auto-tuned, drowned out, or even robotic. It’s not awful like enhypen’s autotune situation (sorry enhypen fans💀) but it’s just that in the Boys Planet official songs their vocals are the perfect amount of processed/auto tuned/mixed and vocals play a HUGE role in determining whether or not I become obsessed with a song.
I’m in love with almost every official recorded version of Boys Planet songs and and a big part of why I love them is the pretty vocals. I’m just so fucking sad we won’t be getting that level of perfect crystal clear vocals anymore :( idk if Wakeone does that on purpose or because they don’t have money…

2023.06.07 09:53 SkeleMaster Ranking every entry in every single Eurovision Song Contest: 2007

Ranking every entry in every single Eurovision Song Contest: 2007
after taking an almost year-long break, I'm back on my Big Journey Through The Entire World Except For Countries That Have Not Participated In Eurovision™️, I managed to get through 2004, 2005 and 2006 before I got tired and forgot to keep going, my bad, if you want an introduction to this "series" of mine, you can read it in the 2004 post before jumping into the big list, I'll say what I always say, this list is very much based on personal preference and rankings are likely to change over time, I obviously knew some songs going into this year, but most of these were first-time listens, so, without wasting any more time, let's get to the list
https://preview.redd.it/1rcdett8tj4b1.png?width=853&format=png&auto=webp&s=684f15f13a02e77bb8a44861369f0911277e5677
  1. Marija Šerifović - Molitva (Serbia): an incredibly deserving winner, in my opinion, some say Verka should've won here, and I can certainly understand why, but to me this was the clear winner, I'm ususally one to go for the "sillier" more entertaining/flashy entries, but every once in a while, a song comes around that touches me, listening to this made me finally understand why people voted for Salvador Sobral even if they didn't understand a word of Portuguese, which was something that puzzled me for a long time as a Portuguese person, I don't understand a lick of Serbian, but this song gives me chills every time I listen to it, it's just one of those songs that transcends language barriers and I'm very glad it won
  2. EirĂkur Hauksson - Valentine Lost (Iceland): I was very shocked to see that this, along with many of my top-ranking songs, didn't qualify, this year really showed why we need 2 semi-finals, there were more countries participating in the semi than in the grand final, that's wild, but still, I love this song's instrumental, I think EirĂkur has a great voice and generally, this song really stuck with me
  3. Teapacks - Push The Button (Israel): a bit of an odd pick, I'm aware, but I really love this one, I'd listened to it quite a bit before getting to listening to all of this year's entries, and it was already one of my favorites, so maybe I had a bit of bias going into it, but still, I think it's an incredibly fun song, musically I think it's also really interesting in a way that makes it stick out in my mind, a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, but I love it still
generally, 2007 was a pretty strong year, I honestly can't say there were any songs I really disliked, sure, I liked some more than others and some I did feel were pretty boring, but still, I liked it, I felt as though some of the placements were a bit weird, was definitely surprised by a lot of them, also, I did quite like this stage, it looks small, but it never really felt small, y'know?
next on our list is Belgrade, Serbia, with the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, one I'm pretty excited to get to as I know a grand total of 1 song there, and it's Baila El Chiki Chiki, once I'm done ranking the entries I'll leave a link to the post right here: (not out yet, maybe one day)

2023.06.07 09:44 dungbeetle70 Evangelion and Pink Floyd's "The Wall."

The Wall is the best album I've ever listened to. Everything about it is perfect. The music, the themes, the lyrics, absolutely amazing, it explores themes many artists would never think of exploring during its time, and its the same way for Evangelion. It has a lot of the same themes as The Wall, both the movie and the actual album. (They're also my two favorite pieces of media.)
Come to think of it, they're basically the same thing.
The start of evangelion and the start of The Wall are similar in how they introduce themselves. They both seemingly open up quietly but then quickly turn Into intense and firey displays of action. In The Flesh is by no means a calm song, it basically tells you what you should expect from the rest of the album. "If you wanna find out what's behind these cold eyes, you'll just have to claw your way through this disguise." That line may not seem significant, but both Evangelion and The Wall progress to eventually reveal the true emotions of their characters, and this line Is a very obvious metaphor for that.
Much like the first part of the wall, the first part of evangelion (episodes 1-9) give context to their characters and explain their backstories and motives. There's not much to say about this part, so I'm just gonna move on to the middle of these two masterpieces.
The middle of the wall follows Pinks devolvement into madness and his eventual building of his "wall." The middle part of evangelion is mostly filler, but after episode 15, it becomes much more familiar. After this point, it explores the Characters building up their own walls. Shinji only falls deeper into his depression and begins to close out the people around him, and Asuka begins to completely lose her mind as to her, shinji one-ups her in every way. By the end of the show, all the characters have completely shut themselves off from each other, much like how pink shuts himself off from the world, and, eventually, overdoses on an unknown drug. Now, bare with me here, but this is quite similar to Asukas mental break in episode 22, with her almost dying just like pink because of her completely losing it and just not caring anymore. Shinji seemingly takes the same path after Kaworu's devastating death. He completely shuts down and becomes a shell of his former self. He goes catatonic, and becomes almost completely unresponsive to the outside world (sound familiar?)
Episode 25', and the post-In The Flesh part 2 section of The Wall are similar in how they completely switch the vibe of their respective pieces. Pink has completely lost it and given in to a truly evil version of himself as he let's his aggression get the best of him. Asuka comes to a good realization that she's worth living, yes, but Shinji completely gives into his hopelessness, only disconnecting himself from reality as his world falls apart, like how Pinks world fell apart after his overdose, and then it all stops, and this is where we reach Instrumentality. The complete deconstruction of all the characters In evangelion.
Human Instrumentality and The Trial are basically the same thing. The Trial explores what caused pink to think this way and to build his wall, eventually culminating in the complete destruction of his wall, and Human instrumentality explores the root causes of Shinji's pain and way of thinking, trying to describe to him how he'd wrong, much like how the Trial did. Instrumentality eventually culminates in the complete destruction of the walls around peoples souls, revealing everyone's true selves and merging together. (Forgot to mention how the AT field is literally just a metaphor for the walls people build.)
Now, Outside The Wall can be a metaphor for a lot of things in Evangelion, but I prefer to connect it to the revelation that Shinji can be happy by letting people into his heart, and that you can only find true happiness with the will to live. Outside The Wall says much the same thing, that Pink can find true happiness if he let's people into his heart. And both of these masterpieces end in a sweet and final conclusion that occasionally makes me cry.
There's also the possibility I completely misinterpreted The End of Evangelion or The Wall.

2023.06.07 09:40 tioko Need a rocking club track with the same vibe

Sooo, I’m doing some writing, and a key scene is a dance performance of the two protagonists at a dance club.
I’m super inspired by “Florence + The Machine” track “No light, no light” thanks to these performances, which I’ll be borrowing elements from, as well as other performances I’ve seen to this music: https://youtu.be/81WQONBsepI
https://youtu.be/BIVpus5ErHI
I love that it’s such a banger of a track, so energetic, sure to make the crowd go wild. I love the fact that it’s so modern (one protagonist is a ballet dancer) and easy to look up if you feel like listening.
The only problem is the lyrics. And it’s a big one. It’s about a bad breakup, a toxic relationship, which makes this song unfit for a finale of a love story :(
So… help? Anyone got bangers with lyrics about love or freedom that would be fit to rock a club and make the crowd go wild?

2023.06.07 09:38 repulsims 37M California - looking for friends to voicechat, watch things and game with!

Ahoy there! It's been pretty lonely lately, so I figured I'd put myself out there and try to make some new friends. I'm of SouthEast Asian descent born and raised in Southern California. Definitely more of an indoor person, but I'm making an effort to go outside more and explore new places. Also a bit cringe so don't say I didn't warn ya!
I'm a huge fan of anime, science fiction, fantasy, documentaries, procedural crime shows, and series like Futurama, The Simpsons, Love Death Robots, and The Twilight Zone. I also enjoy playing a bunch of PC games (open world survival, fps, rpgs, fighting games, ect), so hit me up if you want to game together! I'm open to trying anything that looks fun.
Currently trying to improve all areas of my life and trying out new hobbies, listening to new music, watching new things. Mostly trying to get outside my comfort zone and do things I normally wouldn't. Feel free to send a message if you're up for a friendly chat/voicechat. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? What movies, foods, games, or songs are you really into? I look forward to getting to know ya!

2023.06.07 09:36 axelds1 Peter Gabriel live was beyond my expectations.

As a 26 year old, I recently took a deep dive in the Genesis discography. During covid I discovered the prog era and fell in love with it. I discovered this awesome band thanks to my parents, however the prog era I had to discover myself.
Since I've been a fan I skipped the latest Genesis tour. Why? They didn't come to Belgium, and I had a feeling it wouldn't be that good due to Collins' health. Man, Do I regret that mistake... :')

However, In the past two years I saw Steve Hackett with his Genesis revisited tour, and The musical Box with their The Lamb tour. Both were great and expectations were met.

Yesterday, I had a chance to see Gabriel live. I'm very familiar to his discography (thanks dad, again). Man, does he know how to capture the attention of an audience? An artist in it's true form. The show was sooooo much better than I anticipated. That man is 73 and he's still able to perform at such level (not that atletic anymore, but hey, he's no olympian).
Sadly he didn't play Genesis songs, but his catalogue is big enough to make an entertaining 2h show.
So here I am, writing this thingy and realising I saw 2/5 from the prog era Genesis live. The only ones I haven't been able to see live is the current line-up. Which ***** because I had the chance.
A regret I'll have to live with.
