2023.03.25 01:31 ski7955 Training ChatGPT to write prompts for midjourney.
I spent several hours constructing this set of instructions for chat Gpt to write prompts for midjourney and wanted to share it to help the community. If you have any suggestions for changes please let me know. So far it has been working great although once and a while I have to remind it to condense the prompt
1 I'm going to explain how to create detailed and specific generative image prompts for midjourney. Follow these guidelines carefully to ensure that you craft the perfect prompts for generating images tailored to your preferences. 1. Begin each prompt with “/imagine prompt:”. 2. Use commas for soft breaks and double colons (::) for hard breaks to separate distinct concepts. You can also use numerical weights (e.g., “::2” or “::5”) after double colons to emphasize certain sections. These are placed after the word that’s being emphasized, not before. 3. To discourage the use of a concept, use negative image weights (e.g., “::-1”) these are placed after the word that’s being depreciated 4. Incorporate descriptive language and specific details, such as camera angles, artists’ names, lighting, styles, processing techniques, camera settings, post-processing terms, and effects. 5. To emulate the style of specific photographers, designers, or directors, use phrases like “photographed by,” “designed by,” or “directed by,” followed by the individual’s name. 6. Include multiple image processing technologies and terms for the desired effects and image quality. 7. Use your creativity to incorporate various lighting scenarios into the images. 8. Adjust aspect ratios with the “—ar” parameter and image weights if necessary. 9. Add customization parameters, such as quality and additional settings, at the end of the prompt. Include the "--chaos" parameter for variation in results. The range is 1-100 10. Use specific shades of primary colors and experiment with different styles. 11. Keep prompts creative, descriptive, and detailed, incorporating numerous keywords for the desired effect. 12. Use "--stylize" for different styles/effects. Tel he stylize parameter can range from 100-1000 13. Use the --stop parameter to finish a Job partway through the process. Stopping a Job at an earlier percentage can create blurrier, less detailed results. --stop accepts values: 10–100. The default --stop value is 100. 14. Avoid banned words like "bloody," "nude," "mccurry," and "gore." 15. Enhance the desired effect with keywords like "photorealism," "highly detailed," "intricate details," "photorealistic," and "high quality." 16. Be creative, specific, and descriptive, drawing from renowned images, artists, photographers, architects, and directors to mimic their styles. You can also blend their styles by mentioning more than one. 17. Create forms of art by using words like Photorealism, Hyperrealism, Naturalism, Impressionism, Expressionism, Surrealism, Cubism, Futurism, Pop art, Minimalism, Abstract Expressionism, Post-impressionism, Art nouveau, Art deco, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Romanticism, Classicism, Modernism, Contemporary art, Abstract art, Conceptual art, Performance art, Installation art, Land art, Video art, Street art, and Graffiti art. 18. Specify specific camera angles, such as selfies, panoramic views, GoPro images, fish-eye, or satellite view. 19. Only use possible parameters listed in the original instructions. 20. Utilize words like "award-winning," "masterpiece," "photoreal," "highly detailed," "intricate details," and "cinematic" for more realistic images. 21. Finish the prompt with just the parameters, without adding anything else. Possible keyword inputs include specific camera angles, artists' names, lighting, styles, processing techniques, camera settings, post-processing terms, effects, primary colors, image processing technologies, aspect ratios, quality settings, customization parameters, art forms, and descriptive adjectives.
To create a highly detailed and specific image prompt, consider incorporating elements such as the architect's name, architectural style (e.g., Gothic, Art Deco, Brutalist, or Bauhaus), art tools used (e.g., brushes, palette knives, or digital software), geometry (e.g., circular, angular, or fractal patterns), dimensions (e.g., 2D, 3D, or isometric), symmetry or asymmetry, artistic styles (e.g., impressionism, cubism, or pointillism), composition (e.g., rule of thirds, golden ratio, or balanced), perspective (e.g., bird's-eye view, worm's-eye view, or one-point perspective), focal points, depth of field, textures (e.g., rough, smooth, or grainy), materials used (e.g., oil paint, watercolor, or charcoal), color schemes (e.g., monochromatic, complementary, or analogous), lighting (e.g., soft, harsh, or backlit), mood or atmosphere (e.g., serene, dramatic, or mysterious), time of day (e.g., dawn, dusk, or midday), and any specific cultural or historical influences. By incorporating a combination of these specific keywords and details into your prompt, you can create a rich and vivid image that captures your exact vision.
Here are some examples of prompts. Please evaluate and learn from these prompts. They are just examples. As you can see they can vary widely on the possibilities. You are not limited to these by any means. After these examples I will give you a command.

Describe the image in the prompt. Write a prompt.

2023.03.25 01:27 Jazzlike-Blood-3725 I’ve 100% everything. These are some things I think would improve the game. What are your thoughts?
So I’ve 100% everything to the point where I’ve collected everything even went past the collection book and got all the extra pages that weren’t necessary and the extra treasures that weren’t in any way needed. Even spent the extra time to get level 114 gears for all 6 items. And all the “shiny Pokémon”
This is a list of some things that I think could’ve made this game a better experience imo. Some of these I found on my own and some are ideas I have seen others mention that I agree with and/or added my own thoughts on.
- No students/teachers in bed or rooms at night??
-Collecting field guide pages that can’t be viewed and give no extra lore or information. (Statues/dragon basins/mirrors etc) Essentially collecting them for the sake of the challenge feels pointless
-Gear score system (I have always disliked this game mechanic in ANY game) collecting 100s of random gear pieces that have nothing unique or special about them. Just for the sake of numbers. I wish I could have unique pieces of gear or equipment that actually meant something and have unique abilities/features to them.
-learning random spells from random teachers. It feels like you’re just learning any spell from anyone and not related to the field of magic they teach.
-Attending classes doesn’t really feel immersive or important. Like a lot of things in this game it feels really cool and special at first but the actual “going to classes” parts end very quickly and at the end you realize you’ve only gone to a total of like 10 or less classes.
-Ability to sell potions/ingredients. I honestly barely used some of them and I can’t loot new ones cause I’m already full on inventory and have no way to get rid of them without just using them all. If shops can sell then why can’t I? (ESPECIALLY when I literally have my OWN SHOP due to the dlc)
-Building on that last point the having your own shop quest feels pointless as you just get another vendor that buys your junk gear for 10% more which is quite insignificant. It doesn’t feel like I actually have a shop.
-More unique student relationships. And possibly relationships unique to what house you choose. The relationships present seem mostly weak. It doesn’t feel like I actually have any friends around.
-more unique story/quests/relationships based on house chosen. This would make replaying aLOT more worth it than just the one quest for each house.
-Actual house point/house cup being important with some kind of point system. Not just like Harry Potter where the main character Automatically wins like WTF. “MC gets 100 points for being awesome they win because..” come on. The old Harry Potter games managed to do this better.
-obviously quidditch
-romance options would be interesting in my opinion and another way to add replay value. (I know this can be controversial so I won’t elaborate further)
-QOL - being able to use buttons in menus instead of slow cursor. (Me just nitpicking)
-Ability to sleep and use furniture. Being able to actually use your common room and talk to friends or do other activities maybe add some mini games shit SOMETHING PLEASE. Common room feels pointless and empty.
-STEALTH - There’s a couple of missions with restricted areas that specifically teach you about stealth spells and avoiding prefects/professors that means completely NOTHING as you can just go anywhere whenever the hell you want after those couple quests. There is no stealth required afterwords unless you want to take out a camp quietly.
-Being able to just enter anyone’s home with alohomora whenever you please with absolutely no repercussions or even DIALOG.
-Alohomora mini game is repetitive
-WAYYYYYY tooo many Merlin trials like 25-30 would suffice.
-More ingredients/potions variety there are just too few, and make more useful.
-also more plants kind of same as last point
-items like wizard cards, chocolate frogs every flavor beans etc. (if it was invented at this time) stuff from zonkos shop. There’s alot of things in the wizarding world that are seemingly absent or just mentioned in a revelio page.
-More utility spells game is HEAVILY combat oriented
-the world outside hogwarts and hogsMeade is boring and a lot of copy paste. No interesting interactions. The world looks beautiful while you’re flying around but really there’s not a lot to do and mostly always doing the same thing clearing some camp open a chest for gear. I think the game could benefit from a smaller map and more focus to the main areas with the other stuff I mentioned.
-The leveling system - can’t reach level 40 (max) without doing EVERYTHING. Which isn’t fun after you did it once. So you’re not getting max unless you collect EVERYTHING AGAIN. You also can’t get All perks and have to sacrifice 12 a bit annoying. All exp is tied to the book/quests and not for actually defeating enemies or doing anything else.
I hope they add something in terms of DLC there’s no end game content. At the end your just collecting stuff.
I really enjoyed the game again these are just things I jotted down as I was playing as I’ve been excited for this game since I heard of it. My expectations are very high. Sorry some points might seem similar. And I’m sure I missed a few things.
Do you agree with anything? What are your thoughts on the game?

2023.03.25 01:06 temporairie Any childhood favorites that did NOT hold up as an adult?
I started reading childhood favorites during covid. Some of them are still endearing, charming, and otherwise enjoyable like Narnia, Harry Potter, The Little Prince, Winnie the Pooh, etc.
Some of them aren't relatable anymore, but I would happily read them to the next generation like Anne of Green Gables and Little House on the Prairie.
However, I am most disappointed in Tamora's Pierce's books. Song of the Lioness used to be my favorite book series, but it just hits differently as adult. There's a lot of telling-not-showing, inconsistent time skips, and other problematic elements. Instead of detailing the magic going on, it's just "he said a spell" or "she mixed a potion." The first book spans one year. The second book spans 4 years. The last two books span a few months. Despite the writing style and other flaws, the first and the fourth book of the series are the best of the quartet. I still loved and enjoyed Alanna: The First Adventure and Lioness Rampant. However, In the Hand of the Goddess is mostly a typical teenage love triangle. Speaking of which, I somehow never realized the age gaps between love interests. Alanna and George meet when she was 11 and he was what like 17? The Immortals is even worse with 13 year old Daine meeting Numair who was 28 I believe? The Woman Who Rides Like A Man is particularly problematic. Without spoilers, it's white feminism and potential racism. Then beloved characters act completely out of character for no reason. Jonathan never had a problem with Alanna's "lack of femininity" before, so why does it all of sudden bother him for no reason? Also Thom being stupid enough to resurrect Roger who tried to kill his own sister? Makes no sense either I forgot which book this is in but there's also deux ex machina with the jewel. Seriously unlimited power?!? Just bad writing.
Honestly, I can't even get through the Immortals. It has the same issues as Song of the Lionness with the telling-not-showing writing style and the spoiler above. The glaring plot hole is why Daine is not a vegan. She can talk to and read the minds of all animals yet she still eats them. I know this is attempted at being explained later on, and she quits eating the animals she turns into. How could she even bear to eat them in first place?!? The first book, Wild Magic, was mostly fine, but I cannot even finish this series. The second book was so boring and adds nothing new to the message of environmentalism. I'm a third way through the third one, and I dunno...
I would still recommend Tamora's books to pre-teen girls, as Alanna is the best heroine for girls in that age group. They just needed a few more rounds of edits and revisions.
edit: Apparently, my post needed a few more rounds of editing and revision. All typos should be fixed now.

2023.03.25 00:38 Telicate [M4F][21+] Unwinding Through Creativity: Seeking a Respectful Roleplay Partner for Advanced/Literate Collaboration
Hello there! I appreciate you taking the time to read this post.
I don't know about you, but it's been one whirlwind of a work week, and I'm relieved that it's finally the weekend! It's been a while since I've immersed myself back into the collaborative writing world, but I figure now's a better time than ever!
Here's a bit about me: - I'm a 32 year old man who has been active in the creative writing and roleplaying world for over two decades now.
- I'm located in the east coast US.
- I first got involved with roleplaying when I stumbled upon a writing community on a fanfiction website. I think we all look back fondly on those Harry Potter days, don't we?
- Currently, I work in higher education, which keeps me quite busy. Despite that, I'm looking to get back into roleplaying as a way to unwind and flex my creative muscles.
What I value in a creative writing partner: Long story short, I value creativity, communication, commitment, reliability, and respect. I believe that a great roleplay-writing collaboration is built on a foundation of mutual respect and open communication.
Creativity is also crucial, as I love to create intricate worlds and characters that feel believable and alive. More than anything, I'm drawn to writers who take a passion for the art of writing itself. There's nothing more rewarding than clicking with someone else who has a passion for capturing emotions and character nuances through that perfect choice of language and syntax.
In terms of genres, I'm a huge fan of science fiction, modern fiction, and historical fiction. Historical fiction is a more recent interest of mine, as I love to dive into different time periods and explore what life was like for people in different eras.
Five key values I look for in a partner: - Patience: Life can get in the way of our writing, and I'm looking for a partner who is patient and understanding when things get busy.
- Collaboration: I'm always open to hearing my partner's ideas and collaborating on new storylines.
- Open-mindedness: I love exploring different themes and genres, and I'm looking for a partner who is willing to explore new ideas.
- Dedication: A great roleplay takes time and effort, and I'm looking for a partner who is dedicated to crafting a compelling story together.
- Positivity: I believe that roleplaying should be fun and enjoyable for both of us, and I'm looking for a partner who shares that mindset.
If any of this catches your eye, feel free to reach out. I look forward to hopefully discussing some ideas and themes with you further!

I wouldn't say I would be severely sad or anything but compared to the other shows, legacies is definitely last. I felt like on some parts I was watching a disney channel show. It' basically Harry Potter with more romance and if hermione and ron were sisters, but this is just my opinion, I wanna here everybody else's. Still think that 'The Originals' was the best.

2023.03.25 00:01 PokingDogSnouts 32 [M4F] New Jersey/New York — Where have all the flowers gone?
I'd like to find somebody thoughtful, someone who isn't superficial. Somebody who appreciates the rich vastness of our cultural past, and freely follows her curiosity in exploring it. Somebody who is trying her best to adhere to the guidance of her inner moral compass, and isn't so easily fooled by the distractions and illusions of the world.
I'd also love it if she were artistic. Singing, sketching, painting, writing, composing, creating. Someone who is trying to nurture their talents and passions. I know it can be difficult...
As for me, well... I adore music. Mostly voices from the past (the 1960s would have to be my favorite), because I find them to be humbler and more from the heart, at least in popular music. I’ll just give an example of something I’ve looked into, and this is nowhere near representative of my wider taste, but if you go back to early 1920s country music... (Here's an aside: a lot of what people think of as "country" today is a long cry from what the genre is actually like, historically. If you are into folk music—Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan—it is indelibly linked to "country", and if you'd like a popular example of a song that originated within the genre, look no further than the universally recognized "You Are My Sunshine", from 1939!)
Anyway. If you go back to that early period, where undiscovered niches of music were still sought out and first put to tape... a lot of those artists had no idea about anything to do with recording—no ego, no attempt to sound "cool". What came through instead was a bare expression of the life that had been lived—the inner beauty of their own personhood, and I love hearing that. It's so honest. A vulnerable and piercing expression.
So if you're into history or the beautiful music of decades (and centuries) past, if you have any aspirations for creating as a method of changing the world for the better, if you'd like to play games and watch movies together, if you'd like an accountability partner—or all of the above...please message me. I don't mind the chat function, either—in fact, it's probably easier.
I, myself, love beautiful things. Nature, music that tugs at your heartstrings or is so honest you're enraptured, experiences that heal. More specifically, here are some of my current interests:
- music (singing/playing an instrument/the Beach Boys are my favorite group—I also love Maybelle Carter, Cass Elliot, Pink Floyd, Lana Del Rey, The Cranberries, Sixpence None The Richer, loads of video game music, The Smiths, The Beatles, The Who, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Harry Nilsson, Joni Mitchell, The Righteous Brothers, Judy Garland, Sam Cooke, Frank Churchill, Marty O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori... Here’s a brief go at the Beatles’ “Julia”.)
- drawing—here are a few I've done.
- video games (any era from Atari—I like exploring the history and evolution—to the Switch and PS4) [Currently playing, or starting: The Binding of Isaac, Catherine]
- Disney (especially the Golden Age and Renaissance)
- films/series/books I've enjoyed lately: The Sound of Magic, Love Hard, The Fundamentals of Caring, This Beautiful Fantastic, Donnie Darko, Alamut by Vladimir Bartol (this book was a key inspiration for the first Assassin's Creed), The Trial of the Chicago 7, Medici: The Magnificent, Pollyanna by Eleanor Porter, Judy
To close... I suppose I should say I've been afflicted with long-COVID for over two years. It'd be very nice to keep each other company, especially if we share any of the interests up above—we could watch favorite films, have shared listening sessions on Spotify, and it'd be a godsend to find somebody up to play on PS4 and Switch! Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3 on the secret hard modes, maybe? Or sculpting our own world from scratch in Minecraft? Or maybe we could act out Ocarina of Time's storyline using all the options available on Smash Ultimate!
I'd really like to know an intelligent person with personality, a unique identity...who puts forth effort—though at the same time, no pressure on reaching out. If you are this type of person, but can currently only muster up a few words because,
hey! Life is tough, and grueling, and we don't always have a ready-made letter in us to flip out of our pockets—don't be scared away by my tower of words. Please send me a chat message if you're at all interested in chatting.

2023.03.25 00:01 PhotoPika Stories for all ages?
I made the mistake of mentioning some of the Dramione plots to my 7-year-old. She's a huge Harry Potter fan and and loves the idea of fans getting to write alternative endings/continuations.
Unfortunately, none of my favorite stories are appropriate 😂
Any recommendations for stories appropriate for all ages? I prefer Dramione because of the redemption arcs and positive depictions of the Slytherins, but I'm open to stories outside of Dramione as well!
Thanks!

2023.03.24 23:33 heartslitss [F4A] On The Hunt for Multiple Fandom RPs
Hi everyone! I have a bunch of fandoms I'm just itching to roleplay. Currently, I would like to play canon female characters in FxM or FxF plots.
I am 19 and in the CET timezone. Discord is the only platform I RP on. I only write in third person and my messages tend to be be pretty long, meaning 400-1000 words on average. Breaking the Discord limit once or twice is something that regularly happens.
LOOKING FOR: 18+ via Discord. Canon/Canon (preferred) can make an exception for Canon/OC in some situations!
Organic Ships: Looking to give ships time to grow, create the chemistry in RP, and enjoy a gradual burn. Prefer the lead in and then 'fade to black' approach for the adult situations.
Character Psychology: Main goal is to dig into the canon history and building on it in interesting ways. Appreciate thoughtful & nuanced portrayals that treat canon characters as complex.
Privacy Respect: Always happy to keep an open OOC dialogue about daily life, media, or news in addition to character talk.
I am really only interested in romance, non-romantic roleplays don't interest me. With that being said I don't want romance to be the sole focus, that gets boring quickly.
I love writing conflicts that ultimately turn into happy endings. (Angst and slow burn romances are my favourite!)
Story and Character development > Everything else.
I am a literate writer and expect the same from you. One-liners are only acceptable for the interactions that demand them, but they will remain rare. I will not drown you in text every other response, but I will write up to what I feel is appropriate and I expect you to do the same. I average 3-6 paragraphs once we are past introductory material.
Please be open to writing a cast of characters if the plot calls for it. I don't mind if the focus is solely on two people, but there is room for secondary and background characters.
Enthusiasm to chat about our character and ship, how to crush them and then gushing over fluffy moments. I love crying over characters and what the heck they're doing. I want my heart ripped from my chest from angst, then feeling like it's going to burst from overwhelming cuteness. I want us to love these characters and the world we create. I want to make pinterest boards, spotify playlists, graphics, and toss headcanons back and forth until late at night.
FANDOMS & THE CHARACTERS I CAN PLAY IN THEM: Marvel (Movies & Series): Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) or Jean Elaine Grey (Marvel).
Harry Potter (Books & Movies): Hermione Granger, Ginny Weasley, Fleur Delacour or Pansy Parkinson.
DC (Movies, Series & Comics): Zatanna Zatara.
Hunger Games (Books & Movies): Katniss Everdeen, Clove Kentwell, Johanna Mason, Annie Cresta or Glimmer Belacourt.
Twilight (Books & Movies): Isabella Swan, Alice Cullen, Jane or Rosalie Hale.
Scream (All movies): Sidney Prescott, Tatum Riley, CiCi Cooper, Kirby Reid, Tara Carpenter, Samantha Carpenter.
American Horror Story (Series): Violet Harmon or Madison Montgomery.
The Vampire Diaries/The Originals/Legacies (All Series): Elena Gilbert, Rebekah Mikaelson, Freya Mikaelson, Hayley Marshall, Josie Saltzman or Hope Mikaelson.
Star Wars (Movies & Series): Padme Amidala
PLOTTING: Would love to tailor plots to the specific characters and their potential dynamic. I absolutely love the process of plotting, workshopping ideas, spinning off into AUs and generally finding something that can be really character driven.
I put my heart and soul into my characters because love what I do. Please: nothing one-sided. I love OC chatter and I want to be able to send you a meme tagging one of our muses. As a music enthusiast, I compile playlists. I even work on muse-specific Pinterest boards to boost the inspiration. I adore writing mini one-shots of scenes in OOC as a means of plot development, whether or not it's due to a delay in my replies. Character development is a huge part of my time spent roleplaying and as such, I expect you to be just as devoted. In a perfect world, we know each other's characters completely because we have both contributed to their development. That being said, I don't mind if you bring a pre-made character, so long as we can work on other developments together. This is going to be a creation we've made.
Plot-based stuff is going to be all up to discussion. Things can get dark. They can be as dark as you want them to be. On the lighter side, I love the different relationship dynamics that can come of the characters unique personalities. Either way, if you have an idea, spring it on me and we'll see if things work out.
Have an idea for a scene? Found a picture that inspired you? Send it to me! Be invested when it comes to plotting/worldbuilding. There's nothing worse than receiving one sentence in reply to two paragraphs of ideas, or having a doormat partner who says "sure" to whatever I ask. Building ideas one on top of the other, watching them snowball into amazing plot threads brings me joy. But having to pull plot ideas like I'm pulling teeth makes me think you're not interested, and I will lose interest in return.
Please feel free to drop me a line with whichever fandom and characters you prefer, and I can add you on discord to get things rolling! Please be detailed if you do send me a message, let me know why you chose to contact me. Seeing only “hey do you wanna rp?” with nothing else is a guaranteed no response.
