What exactly defines a country? It is a region of land that must have borders, law, authority, and a population, and it must at least claim to have sovereignty to be a country. London is a city in the UK. It has borders, law, authority, and a population, but London does not declare itself to be an independent country. Palestine is a country but many countries choose to not recognize it because they fell for Zionist propaganda or spread it themselves. Israel is not a country but many recognize it. Exactly what is and what isn't a country is always up for debate. Just look at Russia's friend, South Ossetia.
Now, with that being said, we shall learn about the Muslim country in North America with Sharia Law and nearly 2,000 citizens!
Yes, alhamdulillah, you heard that right! There are Muslims from this Ummah today who can freely practice Islam and openly follow the divine legislation of the Quran without fear of oppression. The Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy is a self-declared country, meaning it declared independence itself, but it isn't recognized as an independent nation by any country on Earth. The Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy has its roots in 1991 but it wasn't until 28th of March 2023 that Qarsherskiy declared independence. While not everyone in Qarsherskiy is Muslim and Qarsherskiy is secular and allows non-Muslims to live there and freely practice their beliefs, much like the Ottomans, Qarsherskiy's law is the Quran and the constitution of Qarsherskiy states this. The Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy is 13 square kilometers in size and has full control over the land it claims which is surrounded by the US city of Newport News, Virginia and York County. Qarsherskiy also claims overseas territories where Qarsherskiyan citizens live in autonomous small areas of land with their own local leaders and laws. Anyone can apply to annex their land into Qarsherskiy's overseas territories and appoint a leader. The Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy has 1,947 citizens, most of whom applied for citizenship online and were trustworthy enough to get it accepted. Qarsherskiy also controls Aidenistan Autonomous Province in West Virginia and was named after Aiden Stalnik, a Qarsherskiyan non-Muslim who helped the mujahedeen of Qarsherskiy learn the layout of the land in 2022 and was made an honorary citizen. Lake 'Aydn County in mainland Qarsherskiy near the American border was also named after him. Qarsherskiy as a nation makes about 3.4 million USD annually with Wax Myrtle leaves and berries making up a large chunk of the GDP. The goal of Qarsherskiy is to create a homeland and safe space for Muslims in North America as well as a few other persecuted minorities such as Eastern Orthodox Christians and Alawites, although many local Qarsherskiyan citizens dislike Alawites for worshipping Ali Ibn Abi Talib (Peace Be Upon Him). Qarsherskiy has a flag, coat of arms, currency, and government which includes an intelligence agency, an army of 25 people, a navy with 19 people and some kayaks and boats, an airforce with 45+ people and some small planes, and a police department that doubles as a fire department and investigation agency with more than 200 employees. Qarsherskiy also has an Emir, "Powerplant" Ali, as he is known, who acts as a vice president under the leadership of His Highness, Sultan 'Ali Aq-Qarsherskiyy At-Tariq AL-Akbar, whom is a conservative Sunni Muslim who peacefully prevented several possible Sunni-Shi'a Civil Wars and did the impossible job of governing and leading a North American Muslim nation to success.
Qarsherskiy has a few problems though and isn't all perfect. A few problems include:
-Qarsherskiy isn't recognized by any country and the Qarsherskiy Passport is useless because of this
-Qarsherskiy had to fight a group of neo-Nazis but the USA would've invaded and shut Qarsherskiy down so they could only use water balloons and nerf guns, which are harmless, and it took 2 months for Qarsherskiy to win
-Alawite separatist movements with plans to overthrow the sultan exist, and you've probably seen the alawite separatists on Tiktok working with Atheists and Christians to make videos doing shirk and worshipping Ali, Kanye West, Bashar Al Assad, and Isa (PBUH).
-Qarsherskiy's sultan is 17 and a Muslim convert, and it has been hard for him to study the deen as Shi'a and Sunni Muslims constantly argued and tried to get him to side up with one or the other, creating confusion in him, despite being a Sunni
-The Ahmadiyya/Qadiani community in Qarsherskiy is trying to destroy the country because they are labelled as kafirs by every based Qarsherskiyan.
-Qarsherskiy's internet prominence has shrunken by 48% and few people support or even know about Qarsherskiy
-Despite defeating the neo-Nazis, Qarsherskiy still deals with "lone-wolf" neo-Nazi attacks on their trade routes that connect Qarsherskiy to the USA and Canadian global market economies
-Qarsherskiy's Autonomous overseas province of IslamOhio Beach on the coast of Lake Erie between Vermilion and Lorain, Ohio has been under surveillance by the police due to suspected smuggling allegations as locals exported Opium poppies across Lake Erie to Canada. (It also has a problem with a struggle to fairly elect a new local leader but that's being worked on.)

2023.06.06 19:28 PepperHeads Pokemon Infinite Fusion HOF. The randomizer was a lot of fun.
2023.06.06 19:28 greebodeathbot Think I’m finally broken.
I’m a 41 year old male and was on a huge bender Thursday to Sunday drinking 17+ beers a day and am an absolute wreck still today. Riddled with anxiety and weakness and wondering why I let it happen again. Im so scared this is the one thats left me with irreparable damage I don’t know what to do. For context I’ve drank heavily once or twice a week since my late teens. Alcohol has always been. My crutch to overcome my social anxieties and I’ve had some pretty nasty accidents because of it over the years including broken bones and then smashing all my face up last march. Since my covid vaccine in September 21 I’ve been suffering with visual snow, tinnitus, bouts of fatigue and pretty constant head pressure. This mentally put me in a pretty awful state and my drinking has increased to give me a break from the symptoms. It’s stopped me socialising pretty much altogether and it needs to stop. I was warned my liver enzymes were a little raised 13 years ago and have been tested every year since. Sometimes they were raised, others not. My last test in October they were slightly elevated and the doctor described it as just a warning shot. Im not sure if it’s possible that I’ve gone from that to cirrhosis in 7 months but I’m terrified. Also for context I run between 35 and 60k a week and strength train twice. I also eat a healthy diet when I’m not drunk or hungover. I don’t know if it’s worth mentioning I only drink lager. No spirits or wine etc. I know anxiety can create a ton of physical symptoms so it’s so hard to pick apart what’s real. I’m terrified at the moment and too anxious to talk to the doctor. Can I please get some help or reassuring words from anybody here? I want to quit. I need to quit because I can’t keep living like this. A healthy 4 or 5 days then a 2-3 day bender just feels like a never ending cycle of getting myself feeling a little better and then throwing it all away again. And advice, reassurance kind words would really help. Thank you in advance for any replies.

2023.06.06 19:27 INFJaneA Death by One Thousand Paper Cuts
So...here's the thing...
I've come a long way with regards to my people pleasing tendencies. When my MIL blatantly disrespects boundaries (i.e.- my husband and I say "no" and she disregards the no/tries new tactics to get her way) I have no problem putting her in her place.
But...what about the smaller stuff? Typically, I try to mostly ignore the "small" things that she does...but they add up. Also-- when she makes a comment that is irritating or controlling or pushy and I ignore it, she'll typically keep repeating herself until I'm ready to explode. Part of the reason why I ignore her is because she HAS to be right, so if you contradict her, you end up having to listen to her anyway. There's no way to win.
For example, we saw her this weekend. Lately, she is hyper focused on my son's eating habits. Here's just a short list off the top of my head of irritating things she did:
- Anytime my son cries or gets fussy, she'll let me know he's hungry (even when he's not). One time, he actually WAS hungry. She hovered over me while I was feeding him and said FIVE TIMES in 15 minutes "See?? He was hungry! He was trying to tell you he was hungry" (or some variation of that comment). It didn't seem worth arguing about so I tried ignoring her. But you can imagine by the fifth time in 15 minutes, I was ready to scream. What's the most polite way possible to say STFU?
- While I was feeding him, she decided it was a good time to lean over me to poke the baby, touch the baby's feet, play peek-a-boo with the baby. I politely told her that he's a distracted eater and he needs to focus on his bottles. She didn't stop. Next time, I plan to leave the room-- but WTF do I say if she follows me?? What else can I say in the moment to get her to stop aside from asking her stop??
- While I was feeding him: He began to drool a little. Obviously, I can see this, but he wasn't dribbling food- just drooling a little. Since he's been distracted (by her), I decide to let him drool (with plans to wipe him up after he eats a little more). MIL takes the burp cloth off my lap and leans in to wipe his face. I was so stunned at the overstep that I was speechless. Next time, WTF do I say?? "Please don't interfere while I'm feeding my son" ???
- We told her that we can't visit her during her vacation this year, because it's summer and she rents the same beach house every year that doesn't have AC. It's SO HOT and stuffy and miserable-- so we don't want to bring the baby. She told me about 500 times that I should just give the baby juice to keep him cool... I considered telling her that the AAP doesn't recommend juice for babies under 12 months...but, again, she is the type that will absolutely argue with you over little things like that. So I ignored her. She kept saying it. The cycle continues.
- On my way out the door- she proceeds to insinuate that my son would sleep better at night if I fed him more solids. (He's just started eating solids- so he's in the exploratory phase of eating, rather than eating for nutrition). She then directly tells me to feed him more. Finally, I stop ignoring the comments and quip, "Well-- he wears more than he eats at this point anyway, so I'm not sure that solids will save his sleep :) :) :)" She then proceeds to lecture me on calories and how the food is more filling and blah blah blah, and I INSTANTLY regret responding in any way.
So, anyway, this is a very lengthy post to say: WHAT do you do about the small annoying comments? Do you ignore them?? Do you engage them and risk the arguments from her??
I KNOW boundaries are not about controlling the behavior of others (i.e.- there's nothing I can do to make her stop) BUT...there has to be some way I can respond that will shut down further discussion.
Do you just hit your breaking point one day and say PLEASE STFU?????

Adventure Arc - Arc 2

Academy Arc - Arc 4
Previously on Leveling up the World…
“This way, please.” The young apprentice flew to the side of the archduke’s palace. A cluster of several three-story mansions was there, surrounded by several well-kept layers of orange bushes. All the buildings were exquisite, even if nowhere as large as the palace itself. These had to be the guest residencies; either that or the staff quarters.
Casting a spell, the mage opened the large double doors. Before entering, though, he landed on the ground, patiently waiting for Dallion and Diroh to pass first. In contrast, Dallion remained an inch from the floor at all times. In the short time he’d been a battle mage, he had developed the habit of avoiding contact with unfamiliar surfaces.
“A tailor team is expecting you in your chamber,” the apprentice explained. “I wasn’t aware that there would be anyone accompanying you, so it will take a short while for the second one to arrive and tend to your novice.”
“Tend to me?” Diroh asked with a predatory smile. “That’s so thoughtful of you…” she looked at the boy, indicating she expected to get a name.
“Calpex,” he quickly said. “Apprentice Calpex Lyan.”
“Yes, how very thoughtful of you, Calpex. I can see why you were made an apprentice.”
The insult passed over the apprentice’s head, who mumbled something in thanks, then quickly flew off, likely to inform the mage and archduke of the guests’ arrival. Wasting no time, the fury closed the door.
“You’ve become vicious,” Dallion said, amused.
“I’ve always been. You just never noticed.” Diroh placed all of Dallion’s floating belongings in the corridor. “I know his type.”
No doubt she did.
“How are you with nobles? The banquet won’t be the same as a hunter’s tavern.”
“So you’re really planning to go?”
The fury made it sound as if she disapproved, but the emanations from her told a completely different story. She was eager to see the inside of an archduke’s palace. The more Dallion looked at her, the more he found the scruffy fury he’d met way back to be gone. Awakening had that effect on people, changing their perspective of the world, infusing them with curiosity, and helping them deal with deep-rooted flaws.
“Going yes,” he said, making his way through the corridor to the first ornate double door. “Staying, no.”
The room was his personal bedroom, as expected. Large and richly decorated, it had thick carpets woven out of gem cloth, massive paintings with such detail that only someone with a perception of forty could truly appreciate, as well as several large tables, chairs, a desk, and an impossibly large bed. Four people were there waiting for him, their appearance combined with the racks of cloth suggested they were the tailor team Calpex had mentioned.
“Greetings, mage.” All of them bowed. Interestingly, all of them were human. Given the city’s size, Dallion would have assumed there to be a gorgon, or at least a dwarf as well. “Will you allow us to take your measurements?”
Without a reply, Dallion floated to a spot in the room, a few steps away from the large window, then raised his arms sideways. Taking the hint, the tailors quickly started taking measurements. There were no conversations the entire time. Everyone knew precisely what they had to do, occasionally asking Dallion to move certain parts of his body so they could get a more accurate measurement.
“Do you have any specific preferences?” the head tailor—an old man well in his sixties—asked.
“Make sure it fits with my robe.”
The man froze. The tailors looked at one another as if Dallion had made a death threat.
“The archduke has… not allowed such an option,” the tailor said after a while. “Only mages are allowed to have robes, and although you are—”
“Fine.” Dallion had no intention of arguing. “Just make it clear that I am one.”
“Of course. And the young lady?”
Dallion was tempted to casually mention that she was a princess, more as a poke to her than anything else. In the end, he wasn’t able to keep himself from doing just that.
“Make sure to illustrate that my novice is a princess.”
Several of the tailers looked at the fury.
“A genuine fury princess,” Dallion added. The wave of anger emanating from Diroh’s calm surface let him know that he had done his job.
You’re getting your sense of humor back, the armadil shield said.
Did I ever lose it? Dallion asked mentally.
Do you really want me to give you an honest answer?
Dallion was just about to respond when the dryad guardian continued without giving him the chance.
Didn’t think so.
Watching the tailors perform their craft was both fascinating and pitiful. Able to see their stats, Dallion knew their level was well in the fifties, along with the skills to match. Each of them individually would have the strength to defeat armies, fight monsters, even take down a chainling if provided with the necessary equipment. Instead, they spent their time making clothes based on the archduke’s whim.
The colors chosen for Dallion combined blue, purple, and cyan, with a little bit of black here and there. The end result was formal, yet simple: a standard set of deep blue gem thread trousers and a vest to match, combined with a long-sleeved cyan shirt. The boots were dark purple, matching with his short cloak. Definitely not a combination he’d consider or even find suitable, but looking at the final result in the mirror, there could be no doubt that it was eye-catching.
By the time Diroh’s “group” arrived, Dallion’s tailors were finishing up the final touches, adding a few decorative elements here and there. It didn’t skip his attention that none of them had examined any of his weapons.
“No changes to my gear?” he asked.
The head tailor shook his head.
“Afraid not,” a new voice said from the far corner of the room.
Looking in the direction, Dallion saw a new person standing there: a tall male figure dressed in an expensive black outfit with a domino mask covering half of his face. Two things were notable about the newcomer: he was someone Dallion had met before, and his hair was platinum blond.
“The archduke prefers that the only weapons at the banquet are his.”
“Overseer.” Dallion wasn’t certain whether he was supposed to nod or not. In the end, he chose not to. “I would have thought that mages are exempt.”
“A logical assumption, thus completely wrong.”
Not to mention absurd, Dallion thought. Spellcasting allowed him to summon his weapons with ease, not to mention cause more devastation than he could with his harpsisword.
“I don’t make the rules. I just make sure they’re enforced.”
The tailors quickly finished with the final touches and left the room, leaving Dallion and the overseer alone. No sooner had they done so than the door vanished, transforming into another part of the wall.
“Champion, then hero, and now mage.” The overseer smiled. “You really have no limit.”
“I’d like to think so.” Dallion kept posing in front of the mirror, checking out the final design of his outfit. It was flawless, even if completely impractical. “Lux,” he said.
The bladebow rose up into the air, then carefully examined him with the kaleidovristo sight. Not finding any lingering echoes or anything else alarming, the weapon then descended onto one of the small tables.
“Any other warnings?” Dallion asked.
“I’m just here to escort you and your “novice.” Nothing more.”
“A-ha.” Dallion wasn’t convinced.
“You’ve been here before, so you know how things work. I’ll be outside when you’re ready.” The door to the room re-emerged. “One final thing. Itella’s also here.” The overseer vanished.
Itella? Dallion thought.
That was one of the archduke’s children, though not a particularly capable one. Dallion had clashed with him twice. Once he defeated him during the Nerosal Festival tournament, and the next right here in front of his father. There was no doubt that the noble held no warm feelings towards Dallion, but it was absurd to think he’d go against a mage.
“I’m not playing your games,” Dallion said, glancing at his weapons. Nothing stopped him from taking a dagger just in case. On the other hand, there was something better he could do.
“Keep an eye on each other,” Dallion folded his own clothes then arranged them on the bed. While doing so he took ruby and placed it on his shoulder. The shardfly’s new illusion powers helped him blend in perfectly, taking on the form of a shoulder button.
Gathering his thoughts one final time, Dallion left the room. To his surprise, Diroh was already there, dressed in a long gown that sparkled as if made of snow. White and cyan combined, creating the appearance of ice and crystals, but that was not all. The tailors had taken the pain to add some jewelry to the ensemble: rings, arm bracelets, as well as a tiara. Dallion also noticed that the fury had added an accessory of her own—a necklace composed of large, flawless pearls.
“Told you to keep her hidden,” he sighed, casting a masking spell on the cloud creature.
“Hey,” Diroh pulled away. “There’s no need for that. The pearls are just fine as they were.”
In all truth, they probably were, but Dallion didn’t want to risk there being a device or otherworlder that could see that the cloud fox wasn’t from this world.
“Put my things in the room, please,” he said.
“Why? I think they’re fine where they are?” Air currents took Dallion’s belongings one by one and stacked them neatly away, as requested.
With a nod of approval, Dallion proceeded to go outside.
The overseer accompanied the pair to the grand stairway leading to the palace. Three pairs of marble statues rose on both sides, an homage to the previous archdukes of the Lanitol family. And just as before, one of them remained half destroyed. The reason, from what Dallion had been told, was that those who didn’t have the power to prevent a civil war did not deserve to remain unpunished. It was interesting to see whether the same principle would be applied to the current archduke’s statue. Most probably not.
“It’s rather nice,” Diroh said, admiring the craftsmanship as they passed.
“It was better last time,” Dallion whispered.
“How many noble banquets have you been to?”
“Just one.”
During his previous visit with March and Eury, crystal shardflies had filled the air, directing the guests to the entrance. After what had happened at the Academy, it was understandable why Archduke Lanitol would prefer to avoid having them. Hopefully, he had only cast them out of the city and not killed them.
A few steps before the entrance, Dallion suddenly stopped.
“Anything the matter?” The overseer looked over his shoulder.
“No,” Dallion lied. “Didn’t expect the nostalgia to hit me.”
In reality, he had found what had been bothering him ever since arriving to the city. The place was too quiet. With the level of his empathy trait, there should have been thousands of guardians eager to have a chat. Some should have remembered him from last time. And yet, he couldn’t hear a single voice: neither creature, plant, nor guardian. If he didn’t know better, he’d almost think he was in the middle of the wilderness.
“The archduke is waiting,” the overseer reminded. “There’ll be more nostalgia inside.”
A dozen yellow-clad servants were present once Dallion entered the palace lobby. Last time, one of them had made sure to snobbishly tell Dallion the rules of proper etiquette. With Dallion being a mage now, all of them bowed without a word, letting him pass.
“Enjoying yourself?” the overseer asked, leading the way.
“A bit,” Dallion replied. “I take it I’m to be in the main hall this time?”
The overseer chuckled.
Dallion was just about to make some snarky comment when a voice sounded in his head.
Careful, an item guardian whispered. They’re out to get you.

2023.06.06 19:27 SenorKerry Can I get a bit of help on this shower valve in my 1965 RV?
| Hey y’all, I went to pressurize my system today and heard water! I know right? So fun! Lol. Anyways, one of the pieces of copper split and there’s this random threaded cover sitting on the ground. I have two questions, #1 how do I fix the copper piece? I took it out already and was curious if this is something they just sell at ace? #2 was that threaded cover important? Do I need to get it back on? Does it look broken or anything? Thanks y’all! Happy trails! submitted by SenorKerry to Plumbing [link] [comments] |
2023.06.06 19:27 BigPK66 Burned by Pixel 6 - try Pixel 7 Pro ?
I was a big fan of Pixel phone having Pixels 1, 2, 5 and 6. With Pixel 6 being a complete disaster for me, finger print sensor was terrible, always on display didn't work, signal was bad and kept dropping calls, speaker phone was weak. After 6 months I traded it in for the S22Ultra. Love everything about the S22U but the camera isn't anywhere near Pixel phones, my wife still has a Pixel 6 (without any of my issues) and I keep getting tempted to go back.
I see some complaints, which are much more prevalent on Pixel 7 than Samsung S22 line.
I know all of the good things about P7, but what would stop you from buying it again ?

2023.06.06 19:27 tbrehse Why does my light switch have to be flipped twice for the light to turn on?
My kitchen has a ceiling fan with a light. The switch has to be flipped twice in order for it to turn on (both light and fan). This is consistent every time you use it, and it's not like a "jiggle the switch" type of thing. It's two hard switches for on, every time. Just one normal switch to the off position turns it off. Why would this be? I'm debating whether it's something I can fix myself, like a new switch, or if I need to call an electrician.

2023.06.06 19:27 BrainyRedneck Ringworm
Not looking for a diagnosis, just a two questions for people that have had it before.
If you have multiple spots if ringworm, can they heal at significantly different paces? My son had spots in his face, neck, and leg. His face and neck have almost completely cleared up, but his leg looks almost as bad as when we first noticed it.
Second, for future sake, what is the best type of doctor to see for skin issues from wrestling? We took him to our family doctor for this, but as I was contemplating if his leg was something other than ringworm (don't think it is as it all popped up at once), I wondered if a dermatologist would be better at making the correct diagnosis.

2023.06.06 19:27 DampenedMoss I'm burnt out from supporting my spouse with adhd
I'm really stressed out right now and just need to scream into the void. Thanks to whoever created this sub.
We've been together for 10 years, married for 2. I'm at my breaking point with supporting him. My husband has had adhd since childhood. He's never recieved proper treatment and it affects all areas in his life.
For the last year and a half, I have been scrambling to keep our heads above water and get our household in order. And while I've been mostly successful in doing that, I'm burnt out. It feels like I'm finding out new ways he fucked up every single day. And I'm sorry to say it like that, but I can't trust him to do anything on his own.
I just found out that we haven't had consistent car insurance for a year bc he keeps missing payments, plus we DON'T have collision or comprehensive coverage. This is the only joint expense he's responsible for. The car is our lifeline bc we both work full time. If an accident happens, we're fucked.
I'm sick to my stomach with stress. That's just one example. Money shouldn't be an issue. I overextend myself to keep our house clean and stay on top of repair work, to cook or provide meals, to take care of our dogs, to work, and get him caught up on his own business so we have a strong foundation to stand on. I know he appreciates my efforts. The love between us has never been an issue and he feels guilty for me having to take on so much responsibility.
I need him to not just feel but to get treatment for his adhd. THAT is the root of the issues we're facing. He doesn't realize how badly it affects him on a daily basis. This topic has been broached many times. He truly believes he's managing his symptoms adequately on his own. I'm afraid I've gone from supporting him to unintentionally enabling his symptoms. We're both educated in and work psych, so it's not like we're oblivious to the disorder or don't have the resources to get help. He just can't make the connection that the call is coming from inside the house.

2023.06.06 19:26 Judgement_Day7 Saw a car get stolen, should this impact what apartment I choose ?
First time posting so apologies for any mistakes, all my financials at the end. Essentially, I’ve been apartment shopping in dallas for my job which starts next month. I had a decent place lined up for $1690 for rent (me and a roommate). That night at our hotel in another location (20 mins away), we literally saw a car get stolen and got us thinking whether we should maybe invest in a nicer location. We found a place down the street for $1930 which is gated, has garaged parking, and a overkill interior (marble top, etc…)
I’m kind of tied between the two apartments and whether it’s a good financial decision. The first apartment isn’t gated and gives off more of a college student type apartment(what I lived in undergrad) while the second one is more “luxury”. I don’t want one incident to cause me to make a poor financial decision.
My salary will be: 84k Debt: 15k student loans (interest doesn’t start till November) Car: college car with no payments
My roommate is fairly flexible so the decision ultimately comes down to me. All of the rents mentioned with be split 50%. What would be an ideal amount? Any advice would be much appreciated. I need to move in by July.

2023.06.06 19:26 Stunning_Owl_7925 I don’t think my therapist likes me.
I’m 23m and started seeing my therapist in January. It’s been incredibly hard for me to open up and be vulnerable during sessions. I have also missed a few appointments intentionally because I needed a break from what we’re working on in session. I hadn’t seen him in almost two months because I had no car and he couldn’t accommodate my request for video call. He did offer to come to my home but at the time I was living a drive out and when I told him this, he said I can’t be seen by him anymore because he only services the local area. I told him it’s a temporary living situation. He closed my case and said to call back when I get my car to schedule an appointment.
Last week I had my appointment after so long and so much happened that I wanted to talk about those things. I finally felt ready to open up and explain things. I started the session by saying that the type of therapy/approach we’re doing isn’t working for me. And asked if we can focus and talk about on other things. I’m doing CPT for some trauma but wanted to talk about other things not related to that. He said it’s the only therapy he does (even though during our first appointment he straight up offered CBT as well) and then proceeded to say that I should find another therapist and said this is the last time we’re going to see each other, our last session and asked how I’m feeling all while smiling. I started crying because I was looking forward to our session for so long. I just really needed the session to talk about some things that have not been going right. I prepared myself for the session and was ready to finally open up and being told that made me feel like I was getting shut down.
I understand he’s had several reasons to let me go as a patient/client but it just makes me so confused because I thought therapy whether CPT or any other type was my time to talk about anything. I’m just so confused about the boundaries about what I can and can’t talk about. I understand that this is something I will have to discuss and clarify, but it just makes me feel like he doesn’t want to see me. I will admit I haven’t been serious about therapy because again, it’s hard for me to elaborate on things and what I’m feeling (i disassociate a lot during sessions) so it’s easier for me to just think it’s not for me even though it can be worked on. But the day I was ready to get serious, just didn’t go as planned.
Anyway, there was a miscommunication and I explained exactly what was and wasn’t working for me. He did let me vent a little and said we can talk about those things next session.
I just feel like he’s tried to dismiss me as a patient so many times already and I understand but without even letting me explain. I obviously don’t want to stay with this therapist feeling this way and will be discontinuing services end of July anyway because I’ll be moving. He is aware of this. I just think I should wait it out and stay with him so I don’t have to look for a new therapist here and then again when I move.

I've been getting packs for $4 at the Dollar General, mostly duds. I know the Amazing Rares aren't worth much, but I love the art. Really glad to add to my rainbow collection too!

2023.06.06 19:26 Longjumping-Pear-673 Leaking shower
Had a new shower installed by a contractor…he didn’t properly caulk or seal the bench and there is no pan under the bench, just the rest of the shower there is a pan. So when caulk starts to wear and there is a pool of water on the bench in the shower…it leaks into the ceiling the floor below. The contractor says it’s not his fault and I’ve cut the drywall out in the ceiling and repaired it. Shit keeps happening every few months and I get livid when it happens. Is there anything can be done as a perm solution without tearing out the bench and shower?
